Shinnosuke Tomari UTANA ISLAND - EVENING
The Utana Island Tour Depot is home to Watch ally and revolutionary leader 'Crazy' Charlie Sanson, currently out on a tour. The depot closes soon, and there's only supposed to be one employee at the desk - a 19 year old girl named Anna.

Her screams echo out, especially after the distress call she has sent.

Despite the one-story building out near the port having windows, they're completely blocked right now, some sort of web-like substance covering every one of them.

There's only one door - the front, next to a sign saying 'Ask for Crazy Charlie! See the true beauty of Utana!'.

Forcing it open (it's webbed up), leads to hell. Webs are tethered all over the interior of the building, interconnected from the front reception area to the office in the back. It's hard to get a clear look. ADDITIONALLY, touching the webs drains the energy of whatever touches them, bleeding through armor and into the human underneath, as well as slowing them down.

In the back office, Anna is webbed up. She's barely conscious, struggling to stay awake. A feminine voice, impossible to discern where it's coming from, syncs both onto the radio and echoes out.

"Oh, you came, didn't you? This is a message from the boss. Don't fuck with our business. Any sudden movements towards the office, and I kill her."

And then somebody else trails in after the group. A Japanese man, above-average height, holding a belt tightly in one hand. He's recently shaved his dark facial hair to a stubble, and is wearing a grey jacket, a white t-shirt, and a brimmed hat.

The voice echoes out again as Mr. 101 arrives indoors.

"But, I'm nothing if not a generous one. Give me that belt, and I'll leave you all alone. Girl gets to live, I go home, you get to toil around in your aimless lives! It's fun, isn't it? Great deal. Think on it - you don't have much time, though."

Mr. 101 seems upset about this prospect, and clenches the belt tighter. There's no attack, just yet, but nothing to attack, either.
Ioanna Langstrom      Evac orders go out. A hostage situation is developing - police are on the scene. No access. The street's been cordoned off. People are being waved away by a woman in body armor, with a tactical visor over her eyes, a badge in her hand, and a commanding voice. At the same time there's vehicles being moved slowly into blocking positions, locking off the street. Buildings are being cleared in rapid, but orderly, fashion as fire alarms are set off. Electric signs sputter out to be replaced by PLEASE EVACUATE THE AREA - HOSTAGE SITUATION DEVELOPING - PLEASE EVACUATE THE AREA - HOSTAGE SITUATION DEVELOPING.

Another radio message goes out on police bands, confirming that a squad is on their way and a negotiator has been dispatched.

Once Ioanna Langstrom is sure that every civilian nearby - and she does mean *every* civilian nearby - has been evacuated, the blonde turns and walks towards the gathering point. The body armor she's dressed in looks like it ought to have a scarf, but instead has an ascot. The badge in her hand is a false one, one that she tucks against the visor to disappear as she walks. She's got a gun at her hip.

She doesn't speak. She's waiting for orders. Basic protocols have been established. People are out of the way.

So where will she best be utilized, Chevalier Hearthward?
Phasewalker     Ainkli spent the better part of an evening teleporting around Utana, memorizing his teleportation spots, getting good vantage points to observe various points. When the distress call went out... well, he appeared atop a structure nearby. He had no urgency in his behavior, no concern for the people inside... He just pulled out a computer tablet of some kind, turned on the video function, and held it up. Then the tablet began to float nearby, ready to record anything he sees. Telekinesis has its uses.

"As you can see, the structure has been overtaken by webbing. The spider-like monster may be the one responsible for this. We may see it in just a moment," he narrates, for the camera, indicating the windows he can see from where he's standing. He was called on just to collect evidence, and not necessarily to fight. Once he has the evidence, well. He'll probably fight it anyways, just for the fun of it. His hand flexes anxiously, ready to pull out a weapon the moment he finds a good excuse, his heart beating like a jackhammer, and a great big smile on his face.
Kale Hearthward "... Mmmmf."

Kale looks desperately like he wants to pull out one of his swords and go in anyway, hostages or no.

"This doesn't end well for you either way," calls the hawk. "All you're accomplishing by taking a hostage is adding another line on your rap sheet."

As 101 comes in, Kale takes a step towards him, making sure he's in position to block any sudden attempts at grabbing the belt, as he gives some orders on the Paladins radio.
Cantio The last time Cantio was on Utana Island, she had gone on a fashion adventure with Brooklynn and Phasewalker (sort of). Today, she's still wearing her definitely-regular-tourist getup of a primarily tan getup between the coat, turtleneck, and darker brown skirt. Following the distress call, she arrives near-ish the tour depot, running in from around a convenient corner just in time to see the webbed up door.

"So that's the situation? How awful!" She comments while slowing to a stop by the building, briefcase slung over her shoulder as the doors are opened. Seeing all the webs, she actually refrains from letting out any drones or even drawing her sword for now, apparently intent on keeping her cover at least for the moment. When 101 arrives, she's not familiar with him or most of the people here, but she does manage to put together enough context clues about a belt being mentioned and 101 holding a funky belt.

"What's that belt for?" She asks plainly, looking between 101 and deeper into the facility without really knowing where the Spider is. "Is it some kind of artifact, a generator, a... Mass production prototype?" She's making some rather broad guesses, but she's also making sure to talk a little too loudly just to try and buy some time to get a better grasp of what the Spider is looking for and 101's connection first.
Chase Mashin Chaser squints his eyes underneath his helmet at the Spider Thing's offer. Hand over a Kamen Rider belt? To someone as vile as him? Absolutely not.

There's a sudden pulse of gravity that emits from the Grim Reaper's body, freezing the room in place, creating a deafening silence. He puts one foot forward, and then another, the sound of his steps and the rustling of his armor being the only noise as he makes his way past the spider and towards Anna. He quickly presses the barrel of the Break Gunner into his hand....

     GUN

And then points it towards the webbing encasing Anna, purple bolts of energy burning through the sticky string before he reaches forward and pulls her out, holding the woman in one arm as he walks back to where he was.

As he places her down, gravity returns to normal.
Taelveras This isn't Taelveras' first trip to Utana Island, nor even the second, but it is the first time she's shown up right into violence.

She said she was going to come with Kale, and she did, but as soon as she got to the actual building she broke off - he's faster than she is, but she is better for maneuvering in closed buildings, in the dark.

Taelveras does not use the front door. Perhaps she thinks such things are beneath her. She uses what looks like a tiny drill to very quietly drill a hole near one of the side windows - a small one, so small that she couldn't even stick her finger in it. It's quiet, aside from faint rasping. Given the conversation, it's very easy to overlook unless you're standing right next to it.

It's enough anyway. She turns into shadow and fades through it in a stream of almost liquid gloom, reappearing on the other side. Tael blends in to the wall, under the shadow of the webs. It's hard to maneuver in here without touching it.

Hard doesn't mean impossible. Taelveras begins to move, a nearly invisible blotch in the shadows. She steps from spot to spot silently, searching for the hostage while the Spider (or whoever) is watching the belt. The webs slow her down as she is loath to touch them, but a combination of teleporting from shadow to shadow and her natural agility helps. The Spider didn't see her before, but she wasn't in her lair then. This is more complicated.

It feels like old days. Despite everything, Tael feels like she understands this situation.

Her goal: find the hostage, protect the hostage. Tael cannot teleport carrying someone else, but she can certainly appear in front of anyone menacing them. She just has to get to the back office without making a fuss, and *then* start making the fuss, interrupting attempts to shoot said hostage.
Brooklynn Bailey In an outfit that might make her more at home on the streets here than from her world was Brook.  Thanks to Cantio she was dressed up in a modern-looking skirt with a plain-looking blouse.  Both of which are shades of blue.  Her hair was tied up in a ponytail for once and in a pair of sneakers.

It is about this time she walks through the police lines or gently pushes them aside if they do not let her pass to walk towards the center of things.  She reaches to touch the webbing, before frowning.  Her STRENGTH fights with it a bit, the strange ability of it hits a snag...she is highly resistant to something draining and affecting her.  There might even be a small, if only noticeable to those with magical sight, puff of fire.

Her gaze turns back, seeing the person tied in the webbing.  The voice taunts them, trying to hold them hostage.  She does not like that at all...Brook frowns even more, as there is a burst of magical power around her.  A flame perhaps, reaching out towards the webbing and the girl inside of it.

Brook shares her ability to break out of the webs with her STRENGTH, her ability to resist pain and damage with her ENDURANCE, and to resist the webbing's effect with her IMMUNIZED spirit.  "I don't like it when things are unfair, but I am also a fan of 'help thyself'.  Lady down the hall, you should try getting free and running to us before things get very crazy.

"And you...spider?  I am guessing you are the spider, right?  The one who has been making people disappear?" Brook hazards a guess here.
Hibiki Tachibana     An Arcgalael, at the Utana Tour Depot? Did it attack knowing Charlie wasn't around right now, or...? Whatever the case, that's not important right this moment. What is important is getting there to help Anna before it's too late. Though by the time she arrives at the portside establishment, 'too late' seems to be much closer than she's comfortable with. Between this and everything that transpired on their last visit, Utana Island sure is turning out to be less of a paradise than the advertisements would lead you to believe.

Her still good hand forces aside some webbing on her way inside with the others, and she immediately regrets it as the energy-sapping effect strikes down the length of her limb. That puts what's happening to today's hostage in a much worse light, but thankfully, her rescue is already being well-taken care of. "That belt--"

Hibiki's attention goes to Mr. 101 as he makes his appearance, from his cleaned-up face to the belt he's holding, and her eyes widen. It couldn't be...the same one that Madelyn and Charlie...

That can wait. Far from the best time to start asking the questions she has. Her eyes go 'up', to the ceiling, as she speaks towards the Spider hiding. "...Dirty trick, taking hostages, but it looks like everything's not going to go as smoothly as you thought. You should give up while you're ahead."

Where is this thing? The building is only one story tall, so it can't stay hidden forever...
Candy TOUR DEPOT

The forked prong of a crowbar edges its way past the window pane, prying open a cracked and webbed-over window. He'd come here quietly, kept as free from public spaces as he could, made use of cars and buildings and passers-by to conceal his profile. Of course, there's likely not much point in subtlety now. Candy also learns that there's not much point in the leather gloves he'd put on to avoid the webs.

'Any sudden movements towards the office and I kill her.'

Candy's hands are behind his back, when he hears that voice. The crowbar is hidden behind his leg, his back against the wall as he slowly allows the tool to rest, propped up against the outside of the building. No movements, then, for the time being.

A grin spreads slowly as he hears the familiar GUN callout from inside. When gravity returns to normal, Candy makes -quite- the sudden move, appearing inside as if reality simply forgot that's where he ought to be. The crowbar is gone, then, replaced with a light machine gun with a circular pan magazine affixed atop it. Though it's got a bipod, he's not using it--instead, the shoulder strap is holding it in a hip-fire position he seems quite used to.

"Fuck your business. How about that?" To Chase, "I got your back, my friend."
Rita Ma      Rita doesn't look like a perfectly ordinary girl today, because she doesn't look like anything. She's sitting on top of the one-story building as other Elites gather around the entrance, mummified in tentacles that actively camouflage her against the background.

Her gaze lingers on Kale particularly, though there's no evidence of that save perhaps a feeling that he's being watched.

A hostage situation. Ms. Grier was just telling me about this idea a couple days ago, but I don't think she meant it so literally. Deep down, I know I have to attack the monster even despite their shield, but... it still feels wrong that that's a choice I have to make. It feels too heavy.

The other Elites, of course, start to head inside.

But I guess they've already made it for me.

Rita heads to the back of the building and drops down from the rooftop. The windows are blacked out, but windows are rarely actually airtight. At each one, she stops and tastes the air with her tongue. After finding which one gives the closest scent of "monster", she waits patiently for the Elites inside to start raising hell.

When they do, she's ready to bust in through the window and flank.
Reyes     Reyes has by no means recovered from his recent beating by a certain pirate. Sure, the physical wounds have healed, he's gotten his bearings back... but he lost most of his gear in that fight.

How much good is a Techno-Wizard without their gear...?

He has a pretty decent idea, and the results aren't promising. But a girl has been taken hostage and that ISN'T something he's going to stay home and grind his teeth about.

No, instead, he's going straight into the danger zone to grind his teeth about it.

Unfamiliar with the territory and keeping an ear on the situation over the radio he makes his way through the streets as discretely as possible, keeping some distance from the office building and watching for others more competent than him to make the first move.

But once they have made that move, he makes a dash for the building and sidles up against it, looking for utility boxes that he can then reach out through to try and see if he can persuade whatever security system the building has to give him a view through cameras or anything else that might be useful for making a decent entrance...
Hamada Haru //This is a message from the boss. Don't fuck with our businesses. Any sudden movements towards the office, and I kill her. But, I'm nothing if not a generous one. Give me that belt, and I'll leave you all alone. Girl gets to live, I go home, you get to toil around in your aimless lives!//

Hamada Haru, currently dozing in the back of the compact RV he's been staying in for a while now, blinks blearily at the ceiling as the radio message echoes out of his receiver. He glances over towards it, irritably, and turns the volume up while he gets up.

Out from the side of the bed he drags his laptop, popping it open and navigating his way to Yahoo! search. Several addresses plugged into his phone later, he straps on the Tetra belt and exits to his motorcycle.

LOCATION NUMBER ONE: THE STRIP CLUB

Kamen Rider Tetra arrives on the back of a motorcycle, pulling into the rear. Dimitrio's businesses aren't especially difficult to locate-- he's a public enough figure, and his businesses are practically stereotypical mob fare. Money laundering centers.

He adjusts his wrist controller several times in sequence, walking incorporeally through the building and dissolving things as he goes.

DELETION PROTOCOL: ALCOHOL, COPPER, PVC, PHEROMONES, HVAC

The lights flicker off first, as the power systems are eliminated. Beverages disappear, from glasses, storage, from people's systems. The piping vanishes, releasing the liquid within to spill within walls and gush out from channels now absent their pipes. The ventilation system fails abruptly, and any mind-influencing pheromones that might have been at hand are deleted from the atmosphere and systems alike.

In the end, the strip club is left lightless, boozeless, powerless, water-damaged and, ultimately, thoroughly sober.

For a fleeting instant Kamen Rider Tetra triggers headlamps on his suit so that those within can see who did it. Then he toggles it off again, and strides from the premises to his motorcycle in the back alley. He re-mounts, angles down into the earth, and selects his next destination.
Shinnosuke Tomari Ioanna gets some heavily grumbling across the Corporate Guard band, but her hacking works. People start evacuating in the area due to the hostage situation, even if they believe it much more mundane. This may have consequences for the Paladins going a bit loud, but at the same time, they don't necessarily know it's the Paladins. Someone speaks up over the police band. "Who issued this? We have no reports of a hostage situation!"

Phasewalker teleports on top of a building, and begins video-taping the webbing. He can even get the audio. This is distinctly unnatural, but he needs more before he has hard evidence. Luckily, he hasn't been noticed quite yet.

Kale calls out. The Spider calls back, still echoing, as Mr. 101 takes a look around. "Do you really think you can posture against an Arcgalael? Send a whole army. That's what you'll need to defeat me, not the cartoon hero squad."

Cantio asks questions. "Hah! None of you know the true power of that thing. Give it to me, 101." Mr. 101 instinctively replies. "76. Why do I know that number? Either way...I can't. I have a responsibility!"

Chase slows time. The Spider Arcgalael has no counter, and screams as Chase frees Anna, who hugs him tightly, crying, before trying to escape through the door, likely with Tael's help, who's snuck in casually and doesn't appear to have been noticed. The Arcgalael can't stop Anna easily with Brooklynn's enhancements, so. "Nobody fucks with me, Alice, like this!" Brooklynn gets a snide remark. "Hah, you think I'd stoop that low? I'm a thief, not a kidnapper."

ALICE THE THIEF - THE SPIDER ARCGALAEL

Reyes tries to hijack the cameras. He'll notice quickly - there are none. This building barely has wifi. Someone wants to be as low-tech as they can, even in a high-tech city...

Candy calls out. The Spider Arcgalael just laughs, as she notices Hibiki, and hisses

Kale may be in the way of the belt, but he doesn't know the other trick of those webs. The Spider Arcgalael suddenly appears among them. A rubbersuit monster. A kaijin. Six arms, two legs, many spider-like eyes, and horrible fangs, all in a sharp silver. Distinctly feminine appearance.

She slides across the webs, her body moving rapidly as it zooms from web to web, before moving to try and pounce Mr. 101. But instead...

He leaps, eyes turning distinctly red. Rita is in range to taste both of them as this happens. They're both monsters.

Mr. 101 lands on the wall. He clasps the belt to his waist, but doesn't activate it. "I guess we're doing this."

And then, he leaps off the wall, his very strength cracking it, and smashes the Spider Arcgalael out through a window, breaking the webs in the process.

Once outside of the building, they're both rising to their feet, several paces apart. Mr. 101 hasn't activated the belt yet, though, so the Arcgalael suddenly pulls a strand of web with her fingers.

Every web, both inside and at the windows, starts moving, trying to grasp people (sensed by proximity to the webbing, which is one of her abilities) and pull them outside towards her, while draining their life!

Elsewhere: A strip club is fucked up expensively. Someone (read: Dimitrio Valeska) is getting very angry phone calls. A black car with tinted windows is going to quickly get fired up and start trying to pursue Tetra, if it gets a chance to spot him on the road, but they have no idea where he Actually Is, so he can easily mislead them - or take them on a chase.
Kale Hearthward "HENSHIN!"

                                  KAMEN RIDER
                                  E N C O R E

This is someone else's debut scene (presumably) so the Already Established Kamen Rider only gets the shortened version of their transformation sequence. "Opening- *SQUAWK!*"

Kale gets bodied by the pulsating webs, getting launched through a closed window in an unfortunately bird-like manner.

"... Opening... act," he says, getting back up to his feet. "101, get clear..."

He draws his left-hand sword. "She's dangerous, and she's not above dirty tricks," he says, stating the obvious. "So I'm not going to hold back...!"

And with that he launches at her, jet-dashing at the spider-arcangel, drill sword going at full blast!
Cantio "Well... R-right! That's why I'm asking!" Cantio shouts back at the Spider, only partially feigning indignance at the response. Still, the distraction strategy (that she totally came up with shut up) seems to have worked flawlessly as Chase snatches Anna away to safety. With 101 punching the Arcgalael through a window, however, Cantio has to maneuver a bit to get out of that building quickly enough to see what's going on and prepare herself to join the fight!

Unfortunately, turning her back to the webs inside of the building proves to be quite the blunder for the leader from another city. She notices herself not moving at first, then yelps as the webs pull her up through the window with all the broken glass and coughs painfully as she's slammed into the ground outside.

"What a pain... S-so that's your trick!" Scrambling to her feet, Cantio throws her briefcase into the air as it pops open, a set of floating swords coming out of it and merging into a larger sword before it lands in her hands.

Instead of holding it like a sword, however, she holds it like a rifle. "If you know who's responsible for the kidnappings, then your best bet at surviving is coming clean!" As Cantio shouts, she starts firing lasers from the tip of her sword at the Spider Arcgalael. The lasers make strange pulsating sounds as they fly towards their target, sounding like they're coming from the wrong direction as if they're intended to throw the Spider Arcgalael off of where they're coming from!
Hamada Haru As it happens, one of the elements of being a Kamen Rider is USUALLY being pretty badass with a motorcycle. One of the elements of Kamen Rider Tetra is just not giving a shit about roads, walls, the ground, the sky, or anything inbetween. He solves his problem by slowing up enough to give the opportunity for chase to actually ensue, keep them at his rear for a little while, and then deliberately dead-end himself. He shows off a little throughout by deliberately obeying typical traffic laws through most of it, with sufficient timing that he's still able to make any lights or turns and avoid pedestrians and other vehicles.

At the dead-end, though, he just drives right through it, takes a hard right straight through a building, angles down through the ground so that he remains underground for what he judges to be several blocks, then re-emerges into open air and continues on his way towards his destination -- the laundromat -- using the roads as-normal.
Brooklynn Bailey The sight of the transforming spider person was...well no it wasn't /new/ seeing people transform into monsters was...sadly par for the course.  Even she could, with enough of her power expanded.  With a breath, Brook starts to say something more, but the spray of webs catches her arm and drags her forward.

Her feet dig into the ground.  She might be caught, but actually being moved was another thing.  What was worse, however, is that her strength has a serious time contending with the strength-sapping ability of the spider monster.  She will need to break herself free of this, but with a motion of her fingers, she snaps.

Spears of flame rain down from the sky at her trapped arm, burning and searing the webbing off before she picks up one of the flaming spears and attempts to LAUNCH it right towards the center of mass of the thief spider.  "A thief huh...so where are those humans you 'stole' then.  After all, video footage seems to point at you."

She points the tip of the second spear she grabs towards the creature.  Already the flames around her are starting to take shape of something 'otherworldly' around her.  They make a shape that is more ephemeral than real, but it traces patterns across Brook as if it were.  "I offer you a chance to surrender again."
Ioanna Langstrom      "Officer Jeanne Lang," Ioanna says flatly. The FC rapidly cycles through local police operations, cracking a quick officer number into the police database. "I was on my way home when I intercepted a radio transmission."

She gives the (false) badge number - it won't last but it's convincing enough for a casual pass.

She's moving backwards, away from the fight, so that she can keep people...well, away from the fight. So she can hurry evac, so she can cover civilians if they get too close. "Situation's currently under control. I'll give you updates if I can find anything else."

Carefully, Ioanna starts checking other local bands out of the corner of her eye, sending voice to text. She's looking for any unusual activity on the local bands, anything she can slip in and get a look at. She's more concerned with that than with anything else. Who else is paying attention here?
Taelveras With the aid of Chase messing with time and Brooklynn reinforcing the hostage in question, Tael escorts Anna out, drawing her sword to cut whatever bonds she may have on hands and feet. "Stay with me," she says, trusting that even though she is a strange person that Anna has never met in imposing black leather with a sword, she will be followed - if only because being rescued is better than not.

'Stay with me' becomes more relevant a moment later when the thief becomes a monster and the webbing starts to throw them out. Even with Brooklynn's reinforcement of Anna, she doesn't trust it, covering her with her body and her armoured coat as the two of them are battered at.

It means Anna is barely touched - and the protection is enough for her to withstand anything that does get through - because Tael takes the worst of it, unable or unwilling to fade away into the shadows with Anna right there. She (and Anna, probably) are launched outside, Tael landing in a skid, breathing hard.

"Get away from the building," she suggests; she doubts that this spider-monster will bother to chase her down at this point now that her gambit has failed, but you never know. There sure are a lot of people engaging this thing. She doesn't even recognize most of them. Her eyes narrow, faintly, as she considers. They're helping, but...

Tael herself turns to face Alice, blade drawn. She'll make sure Anna gets away or at least into an alley by being a distraction. With a billow of coat, she launches herself at the spider-monster, coming in low to attack its legs. "You can surrender," she says, as she 'falls' into the Arcgalael's own shadow and reappears closer to her original position, double-checking on Anna's safety. "You have that option."
Rita Ma      One of the webbed-open windows bursts inwards, showering the floor in broken glass. Rita leaps through, still invisible- but the webs sense and grab her anyway, managing to drain her life force for just a split second before her tentacles lash out and sever them.

She shimmers into view in her perfectly normal girl disguise, holding a very ordinary handgun in both hands. At first it stays down, her eyes darting between the two unfamiliar combatants.

Two monsters...? Are they working together? No, it doesn't seem like they're on the same team. And the one we want is the one that's been making those webs, so...!

     Bang.

The gun in her hands is fake. The gunshot is real. When she pulls the trigger, there's a noise like a whip-crack, and one of her sharp invisible tendrils shoots out to stab into the Spider Arcgalael.

"You can't just feed on whoever you like, miss," she says- her words are reproachful, but her tone is dull and flat, like she doesn't really expect a response. "Someday somebody will bite back, you know."

As soon as she finishes talking, Rita's already abandoning that body as a decoy, leaving her hollow wrappings behind and invisibly clinging to the ceiling. The only trace of her presence is the subtle but (hopefully) blood-tipped tentacle that withdraws from the Spider Arcgalael's wound and brings a drop of blood up to her true body's lips.

If you'll try to take my essence, I'll just steal yours instead. Fair is fair, isn't it?
Candy      Candy is grabbed. The webs do their work. His strength and speed are sapped, his body going limp as--

Time stops.

Candy blinks himself out of the web. It doesn't do much to restore his stamina. Hands on his knees, he catches his breath. Standing in his place is a replica of himself. Same expression, same posture, same gun. But the hair is a little too wavy for it to truly be a perfect replica. Still...

*That oughta hold for a second, anyway. Dunno if she can tell just by feeling, but...*

Time resumes.

-All around the battlefield, there is the sound of shears. Snip, snip, snip. Webbing is cut right before the apex of the toss, diminishing the momentum of anyone so tossed.

-Several sounds of screws and metal. Someone is setting something up--but it sounds like it's coming from...
-Above, on a rooftop across from the tour depot, Candy's LMG is braced on its tripod, against the lip of the building he's now perched atop. If anyone looks too closely at the other Candy--the one allegedly thrown from the building--he vanishes.

The one on the roof is very real--and so are the bullets that gun is spewing. The look on his face suggests he's not interested in accepting a surrender from Alice. Her comment must have pissed him off pretty badly. He's swearing and spitting curses at her, over the report of the gun.
Hibiki Tachibana     The Spider Arcgalael appears, and Hibiki whirls in its direction with wide eyes. Too sudden, too fast. Mr. 101 moves before her, and where she was expecting him to transform, he responds in kind and the fight is taken outside. "Crap--" She turns on her heel to chase, but the webbed-up hell that the Utana Tour Depot has been turned in is a problem.

Webbing seizes her up and forces a strained cry out of her, locking her down and yanking her out the building by force. Just like when she brushed it, except a dozen times worse, she can feel it sapping away at her. But it won't take her the whole way.

    "Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron..."

Golden light explodes out from inside the bindings, blowing it apart and washing over her body to replace her clothing with the undersuit and armor of her Symphogear. The momentum keeps her going to hit the ground outside, tumble once, then flip back up at a sprint towards the Spider.

"You won't be getting that belt if anyone here has anything to say about it!" Her right arm comes back--and then she remembers again, stops, and shifts to putting her momentum into a grapple with her left hand. There's a lot of arms to grab, where she'll then rotate with her momentum into slamming the kaijin against the ground and letting her bounce back off into the rest of the incoming attacks.

"And your boss'll be getting what's coming to 'em when we take them down too...!"
Chase      With Anna secured, the rest of this engagement should be easy. Mr. 101 seems to think the same way, as he runs in to punch the humanoid spider through the window.

Mashin Chaser simply follows after, not even blinking as the spider webs in the room fly towards him. His arm snaps to the directions of the incoming webbing, firing more purple bolts of energy to shoot them out of the air. While by no means a sharpshooter, it's not hard to shoot at things flying right at one's body.

Finally jumping out of the building and entering the next scene set, the Grim Reaper begins speeding, his slow steps becoming a full on power walk. He pushes past Mr. 101 as he slams his palm into the gun's barrel again.

     BREAK

Lunging forward a bit, he grabs on to Arcgalael's shoulder with one hand to hold them in place, before throwing his other hand with the Break Gunner straight into the Thief's face, the weapon letting out a purple shockwave as it connects.
Reyes     Reyes has begun to inwardly curse. He felt the presence of multiple wifi networks and high-tech machinery all around when maneuvering through town... why is this one building so deprived...?!

But while he ponders a backup plan, all hell breaks loose. He sees a woman fleeing the building and realizes the hostage danger is over. No more need to be sneaky for her sake!

And he can certainly hear that a ruckus is begining inside, moving towards that door. Almost in a panic, the young man spreads his arms and begins to gesture, chanting a number of dramatic syllables in the clearest tones anyone might've ever heard him speak in. After about ten seconds of this, ornate, articulated plate armor appears around his body, rendered out of ghostly blue energies. The Armor of Ithan, named after an ancient mighty Dwarven King.

He begins to dash towards the main entrance, and this proves to be a costly mistake... as webs burst through a window he crosses, wrapping around the armor and hoisting him clear off his feet. The armor glows and sputters where it's touched, its power leeched away... he finds himself being dragged along by it towards the action. Struggling and flailing, he somehow manages to wrench himself around and TEAR the webbing away from his mystical armor, and stumbles up to onto his hands and knees and scrambles away from it, rising up to his feet eventually.

This gives him a REALLY good view of what's happening out there.

He doesn't recognize all of these people, or know much about the greater situation, but it's pretty clear that the Spider's a major problem.

"Alright, here goes nothing. Let's see if I can remember how to do this the Wizard way..."

He stands there, and just as before raises his hands dramatically. Arcane energy surges between them and glows out from his body as the chant from earlier returns. A spell that wouldn't possibly be practical for him to cast if there weren't basically a dozen people here keeping that monstrous spider busy...

After a lengthy casting point where he's standing there making himself look awful foolish, the energies all swirl inwards towards his body, gathering in his threat before they dim down.

The young man now dashes towards the action, keeping his eyes on Alice and waiting for a good moment...

A good moment for him to go skidding across the ground and end up about ten feet away with a clear angle. He awkwardly inhales a mighty breath, and then...

Instead of invisible, moistened air, his breath is a tight cone of orangish-white, dense, flame, hot enough to burn or melt just about anything and everything.
Shinnosuke Tomari Cantio and Brooklynn's demands get a laugh. "Do you really think I'd tell you, even if I did know anything? Please. You're barking up the wrong tree." The flaming spear and sword lasers both fire out. The spear impacts, wounding her, but the lasers are weaved out of with quick speed. Kale's big hit, the drill sword, pierces straight into her, digging more of that blood out. The tendril from Rita stabs straight in, dripping blood, and moves up to her lips. It tastes like monster.

Taelveras wasn't sensed last time. That is not because Alice doesn't have superhuman senses. With six arms, they start moving up to block her attacks, and when she comes in at the legs, she leaps, clearing Tael completely. The webbing is cut, but as the bullets spray out, Alice drops to the ground, and then leaps again, clearing them completely with agility.

"Screw you!" Alice shouts to Hibiki, as Hibiki's left hand grapples her into the ground, hard. Instead of bouncing up, she rolls, however, and leaps back to her feet. Chase fires the BREAK straight into her face, causing a scream of pain as those many red eyes flare up. Reyes breathes flame on her, burning into her fleshy armor, forcing her to roll backwards to avoid more.

Mr. 101, watching the others fight, grimaces. He's doing nothing, while they start throwing their attacks. But he has this belt on his waist. He finally gets up the power to speak. "I refuse, sir."

Mr. 101 cracks his knuckles, probably his Signature Character Trait, before placing his hand on the belt.

"Have you ever heard of Noblesse Oblige, 'Alice'? It's the responsibility of the fortunate like us to aid the unfortunate. But you're not using it. You're abusing them."

A thumb finally slides to the belt.

"And I can't put up with abuse."

It clicks down on a pad.

"Henshin."

(Why do I know how this belt works...? No matter. I need to fight.)

The belt doesn't activate immediately. Instead, it begins to speak again, before a needle injects straight through his waist, causing a noticeable grunt of pain and a grimace.

USER DETECTION... 101
ACCESS GRANTED - KAMEN RIDER EXODUS, ENGAGE

Nanomachines suddenly spray out of the belt, forming around Mr. 101. They clamp down onto him, fast and hard, forming a swarm that melds into an armor. A square-like visor around a bulky helmet, with two grasshopper antenna-like protrusions. Soldier-like body armor, extremely high-tech and sturdy, covering his entire body. Two gloved hands. Two powerful legs. No weapon. He doesn't need one.

Kamen Rider Exodus slides forward, fists armored up, and punches her in the shockwave'd jaw with a mighty *CRACK*. He's got the skills of someone who's trained, hard, in hand-to-hand combat. A soldier, perhaps? Or a bodyguard?

"And as that girl said on the radio...monsters who hurt people need to die."

Alice screams in pain, and begins throwing web spheres at everyone, trying to drain even more power. They're less effective than the pure webbing grab, but they have a far range. And then, she moves to throw all of her fists at Exodus's face, trying to kick him backwards. It works, but he's preparing for his next strike.
Shinnosuke Tomari MEANWHILE: Ioanna gets a reply. "Chief Hirose isn't going to like this...very well." And then, she starts accessing local networks. One appears to be attached to a news photographer sneaking in on a nearby roof, crouched down, and getting shots of the incident.

"Let's blow this lid wide open. The monsters are real. And the world needs to know. No more lies." A man says. A woman replies. "Right. For Utana." "For Utana."

Haru, meanwhile, lures the mafia into a dead end, and slips out through the laundromat. It seems pretty normal, but it's probably a money laundering scheme. Once again, it's open, but the person inside is on the phone and on edge. Did someone call all his fronts to warn them? They've got a gun poorly concealed at their side - probably been messing with it.
Kale Hearthward 101 squares up.

101 gives his speech.

101 transforms.

"I trained that boy," remarks Encore, in the space between attacks going out.

>> "And as that girl said on the radio...monsters who hurt people need to die."

"Ah, hmm." Kale's a bit less fond of that line, given where he got that from.

And then there's more webs. Encore gets tangled up. "Hey - stop that! Hrgh-"

He struggles heroically against the webbing, but can't quite get free, and gets drained more and more as each second passes.

"Go, Exodus! Take... THIS!"

He pulls back his arm, as much as he's capable of doing so, and throws a wind-fireball, trying to pitch it to flank with Exodus's attacks!
Taelveras They're talking about killing her.

Taelveras grips her sword more tightly, her knuckles whitening. She's not looking forward to fighting the Watch as well as the Arcgalael, but she won't break her code for them, either. If she surrenders...

Well, she's not going to, judging by that response. It can be a problem for another day, but she still gives Rita a slightly sharp look, only difficult to read because of Taelveras' usual poker face. "I will take that profanity as your answer then," she says, before falling into a shadow again.

Not fast enough. The webs hit the shadow too and stick to something that isn't quite the terrain, tangling with Taelveras as she cuts them away, finishing her fade-out and going - where?

The side of the building, just out of sight. Taelveras comes out of the side street running just as Kamen Rider Exodus transforms. Noblesse oblige... she is a noble, or was before she abandoned her history, but she was never taught such a thing. She likes it. It feels right.

Running, Tael gets her foot on a street-side trash can, vaults a good twenty feet into the air and comes down aimed at the back of the Arcgalael. Fighting at a distance is pointless; she's just going to lose to webbing if she does that.

Tael doesn't try a descending stab. She comes in with her feet against the Arcgalael's upper back to drive her forward, flips off and then attempts a series of almost dance-like movements accompanied with arcing, curved slashes, cutting and carving. She seems to be relying on speed more than power, and about half the attacks are feints anyway, judging the response before striking with more solid, determined blows.

If nothing else, she can tie her up (not literally) for long enough for someone else to strike a solid blow. And also if nothing else, she's learning.
Ioanna Langstrom      There's a photographer on the roof.

Ioanna asks for orders. She gets them - escort them, firmly but gently, out of the lockdown.

He's on a roof. Ioanna can't just run up the sides, but she can go up the stairs.

So she goes inside and starts jogging up the stairs. She's fast - very fast. Up, up, up, up, up. When she gets to the rooftop door she just knocks it open with a push and walks out.

"Sir," Ioanna says, tapping her visor as she walks over to the photographer, "I need you to leave this area immediately."

     "It's not safe."

She moves to grab him by the shoulder and, very quietly in his ear, says, "I have no intention of stopping you from getting the word out, sir, but if something was to happen to you it would be my fault, and I don't want you to get hurt."

     "Come along, please."
Cantio Biting back an irritated noise as the Spider Arcgalael evades her lasers, Cantio switches her grip of the sword and settles into a two-handed stance. "Okay, so much for that idea... But that's fine. I've got more where that came frrrrom?"

It's actually kind of hard for her to keep up with so many people piling onto the target, and the transformation of Mr. 101 into a Kamen Rider has her staring in surprise at Kamen Rider Exodus. However...

That all but confirms a theory she's just thought of now: "She's weaker at close range than long range!" She shouts as she starts running, chasing after the kaijin to try and close the gap between them. As she does, however, a web sphere comes right for Cantio, and she makes no effort to avoid the impact. It's a terrible, direct hit to the everything, and it looks like Cantio might be going down except for the fact that she doesn't.

The sword is still braced in front of her as she's brought it up at the last moment, brought to one knee with one hand on the ground. The bruising and faint pixelated shimmering makes the minor wounds obvious, but she's staring right at Alice the entire time.

"Eyes forward... Don't underestimate me!" Cantio shouts in an uncharacteristically angry tone as she uses a telekinetic force right below herself to fling herself upwards, launching into the sky to a ludicrous degree. Her own strength wouldn't have been enough to get that height, but with a certain psychic's influence...

Well, she's only got one real shot at this. As she dives downwards, she has to keep nudging herself sideways rapidly to adjust her descent while keeping the sword pointed straight down. She's aiming to land right on the Arcgalael with the tip of her sword, gravity-boosting her speed and essentially hoping not to blow her own legs out in the process.
Brooklynn Bailey The ball of draining webbing hits Brook directly on, there is no way it /couldn't/.  Knocked back from the blow Brook slides across the floor and smashing into a nearby wall.  It would hurt, it would absolutely /crush/ any other person directly hit like that.  However, the ball is shattered a second later, and Brooklynn is already healing.

Her clothing is barely damaged, somehow, but right now as her body starts healing, starts telling the world that /no/, it won't be affected by you...

Those flames start taking a certain SHAPE now.  Less human, more alien.  Not unkind, not monstrous, but a sort of beyond looking that puts people off when they see something like it for the first time.  Flaming wings appear behind her, a spear is now fully-fledged in flames in her hand.  Her skin is unnaturally tan, darker than it should be.  Her eyes are now shining in flames as her figure is somehow LARGER than it looks somehow.

Yet, despite it, the eyes are not cruel or hateful, they have a feeling of compassion and love.  Except towards the spider, who is not a /person/.  Who lives in vice, who sins and kills.  "The wrong tree, huh?  Perhaps, but then if it's true...then I have no need for you, do I?  I offered you a chance out of compassion and charity...but now as the Cardinal Virtue of Charity, I rescind my offer."

Of course, she catches the transformation, for a moment she looks deeply enthralled by the transformation sequence, by the rise of a new hero, who takes a stand against the monster.  It was like seeing one of those books for real, and it takes a moment to shake the stars out of her eyes.

Crouching, she leaps towards the spider, aiming to make the distance through sheer use of her strength to propel her in a single powerful motion.  The spear dances, aiming to smash the spider creature across the head, before Brook tries to get under it.  The spear drives up aiming to impale the creature upward.  Then she attempts to drag it down to try and pin it for others.

"Allow me to greet you again.  I am Brooklynn Bailey, Cardinal Virtue of Charity.  Bane of Taboo and monster, and soon to be the ruler of Kings."
Reyes     Although lacking full knowledge of the situation, the young man in the World War 2-era Bomber Jacket regards his handiwork upon Alice very briefly before he snaps the flight goggles in place over his eyes - which is mirrored by the superimposed phantasmal visor of his Armor of Ithan visor being lowered at the same time.

But seeing that Alice is only PISSED OFF after that, he puts strength into his quivering legs and takes a flying leap backwards. "What the--" And, seemingly, further than he'd anticipated he'd go. By his posture, he'd meant to just backpedal away from Alice. The boy's terribly off-balance ten feet in the air though, and absolutely unable to change direction. He goes skidding upon landing, struggling to maintain balance... and ends up landing flat on his ass with an ungraceful THUMP.

This gives him a clear view of MR. 101 stepping up to the plate and showing off just what that Belt is for. An inspiring sight in more ways than one. Reyes swallows hard... and begins clambering to his feet.

"Now THAT's more like it!" Reyes crows to nobody in particular. After the last week, an honest display of sincere heroism is like a light in the darkness.

But then, as he's getting up, he's slammed by a glob of sticky, power-draining webbing. It knocks him clear off his feet and sends him tumbling, shattering the glowing armor. After he manages to claw out of it, gasping for breath, he's back to being just a dude in a WW2-era bomber jacket. Hardly the weirdest get-up present today though...

"Better not get hit like that again... I'd better keep some distance, stay on my feet..."

The young man's backpack unzips on its own and from it flies two different objects. One largely resembles a flashlight but with its lens replaced with an appratus containing a clear quartz. The other looks like a six shooter straight from a western.

He holds the flashlight high and focuses... and blue energy flows through the lens, gathering just outside it into a dim ball. But as soon as he aims that at Alice...

For a few blinks, the whole area's bathed in painfully bright light. The source? A brilliant white sphere disgorged from Reyes's flashlight, and traveling straight at Alice. It doesn't actually impact - instead, it stays just a few feet in front of her, making her target of the worst of its radiance, what with being COVERED IN EYES.

And, for good measure, he raises the gun in his other hand and takes aim, pulling the trigger several times. NOTHING seems to happen besides the CLICK of said trigger. No hammer is cocked and it doesn't slam into a bullet, as none are loaded. But SOMETHING??? ripples through the air with bullet-like speed - and that SOMETHING?? -can- impact with Alice, with the force of a tank cannon pressed into a bullet-like size.
Chase      TUNE - CHASER SPIDER!

Mashin Chaser slots in a small toy car into the top of his Break Gunner as he waits for the Spider kaijin to recover, a large metal buckler materializing in a flash of purple and bolting itself onto the roidmude's arm.

The shield forms just in time to help him block the glob of webbing thrown at him. Even though it doesn't touch him, it still has the same draining property, and there's a crackle of static that covers the Grim Reaper's suit in response. That said, he doesn't buckle, instead walking forward and standing side by side with Exodus.

"Kill... That I do not know. But right now, we are allies, Kamen Rider."

He waits for the fledgling Kamen Rider to make his move, before joining in with him, timing a punch to Alice's gut with his shield with whatever move Mr. 101 has in mind.
Hamada Haru Kamen Rider Tetra rides directly into the laundromat, smokelike, phantasmal. It's not until he gets inside and spies the man on the phone that he adjusts his wrist-device again.

                           DELETION PROTOCOL: TRIGGER

Then his motorcycle roars forward, carrying him through the armed man and turning the trigger of his weapon to dust.

Immediately afterwards he rises from the rider machine, making himself partially tangible -- enough to take the man by the wrist, seize the phone from him, and push him to the ground. He adjusts his wrist device a second time.

                          DELETION PROTOCOL: CURRENCY

This time, he doesn't utterly annihilate the building. Instead, he surveys the laundromat and walks to each machine, annihilating the money stored within before deliberately and indiscriminately pushing on into the back room and any hidden places, disappearing money as he goes. Only customers are spared.

He speaks into the phone, within earshot of customers no less, and says, "I am Kamen Rider Tetra. I punished you once and you escalated. Hear me:"

"Each time you escalate with me I will punish you thrice as viciously as before," Tetra states, matter-of-factly. He tweaks his wrist device.

                        DELETION PROTOCOL: HVAC, PORTALS

Each door, window, and latch within the building disappears completely along with the heating/AC system, though he spares pipes and water this time around.

Tetra drops the phone, re-mounts his rider machine, and continues.
Hibiki Tachibana     "Kamen Rider...Exodus..." So this is the power of that belt. As Alice is sent flying (with some chocie words), her attention can't help but go to Mr. 101 as he transforms - he really is a Kamen Rider. And he's not someone who doesn't know what they're using. That stance, the punch he threw, the way he holds himself...

Who is he, really? And is that really the same belt that Charlie and Madelyn were looking for? But if it is...that moment before, where he matched the Arcgalel...

Those are questions that are cut off when their opponent counterattacks, and the storm of webbing is too much to completely avoid. It catches her center mass in the middle of a dodge, and she breathes in sharply as it both weighs her down and saps at her stamina, nearly flooring her in the process.

"Then that's where I'm going to go...!" She speaks up in response to Cantio's assertion, digging her hand into the material and wrenching aside to cast a good portion of it off as she rises back up. "Exodus! We'll back you up!" Her eyes go to the side. It'd be hard to locate her even in a less chaotic battlefield, but even so, "Rita! I'm going in! I'll count on you to watch my back!"

The magical girl bounds forward, hopping and weaving out of more web shots, and making an entire leap over the stanced-up Kamen Riders to reach Alice again--where she doesn't stop in front of her, but she goes right over her. Hibiki comes down behind her and whirls on her heels, only to turn it into a dropkick on the spot aimed at her back, to send her forward into the rush of attacks from her front. This is now a toku sandwich.
Candy      Candy stops firing and ducks his head beneath the lip of the roof. It isn't enough to stop the web from splattering and spilling over, rolling onto the back of his neck. Candy rolls across the ground, sluggishly trying to clear the stubborn substance from his person, his efforts made clumsy and tired by the nature of it. "You... motherf--"

Time stops.

In the frozen port, Candy has time to wipe it off and catch his breath. This, he does on all fours, one hand on the lip of the roof for support.

*Not gonna beat her up here, ah? Well, I am getting tired of checking my fire, anyway.*

He blinks back down to the street level. Webbed orbs are suspended in flight all around him. The multi-armed monster is surrounded. Taelveras is missing, time frozen at the precise moment she blended into a shadow. Cantio's laser drones hang like odd snowflakes, pointed at different angles to try and find shots on Alice, as Cantio herself is suspended just shy of the apex of her formidable leap. That looks like it might be something... Candy finds the crowbar he left outside the tour depot.

Time resumes.

-Alice will feel an alarming, immediate sense of danger; that feeling you get when you could swear something is about to touch you. A split second later, an unseen force crashes into her knee with superhuman strength, aiming to hobble her for Brook and Cantio's attack.
-Another feeling of danger at her back, another superhuman force striking. It's like she's being hit with something hard and metal, but no one is there.
-Candy's voice calls out from around the corner of the tour depot. "I hope that hurt, motherfucker!"
Rita Ma      Taelveras's sharp glare is returned with a sympathetic look and a slight shrug. The body language is clear: despite her commitment to her ideals, Rita's glad she doesn't have to fight the Paladins over this. But in that moment, she's distracted.

Rita is struck head-on by a life-draining glob of webbing, dropping to the floor like a sack of potatoes- and then her whole body unravels in strips, fading into invisibility. Just a decoy.

     Idiot.

When she drops down from the ceiling under cover of Reyes' light-flash, it's in the guise of Hibiki Tachibana, flowing scarf and missing hand included. She dashes in at the same time as the real Hibiki, her left hand cocked back for an uppercut, and ducks low to put her legs and back into the strike as the magical girl goes high. Her eyes are wide and glassy-fierce in a very un-Hibiki-like expression.

The logical inference is that this is just another decoy, a distraction from the real attack.

That inference would be fatally wrong.

The disguise doesn't fade until the instant of impact. The blow is fast enough to flutter her clothes with the shockwave and to make a noise like a gunshot. Throwing a punch like that would break every bone in an ordinary girl's arm.

Rita's eyes are eerie orange as she stares through the Arcgalael in the aftermath of her punch. Then she vanishes again, flickering back out of view.
Shinnosuke Tomari Multiple people group in with Kamen Rider Exodus. The wind-fireball blasts the Arcgalael back, while Exodus charges his punch. Tael's sword dancing slices her up, causing her to ooze more red blood. Just like a human does.

Cantio's sword slash from above impacts, but misses the Arcgalael's head. Instead, it impacts with her shoulder, causing a scream of pain. Brooklynn impales her straight in the gut, but even that doesn't kill her. She's tougher than a normal human, by far.

Chase and Hibiki come in to make a Rider Sandwich. Exodus finally launches forward, as Chase strikes her in the gut, before they both move to impact with her arms, with enough force to shatter bone. Two of them go numb, as Hibiki's blow drops into her back.

Reyes blinds her in the process, making it hard for her to do anything, and a TK blast heavily injures a non-numbed hand, making it harder to aim.

Rita is right. She expects it to be a decoy. Alice, the Spider Arcgalael, is smashed in the jaw, shattering it with enough force that she literally dislodges from the impale, missing an arm in the process.

She should be down. Ready to execute.

The photographer sighs and is about to get bristly at Ioanna, until she says he can get the truth out. He's about to move towards the fire escape with her, when...

"You think you can kill an Arcgalael like that? Pathetic. If I'm going to die, I'm taking you all out with me!"

Her words are slurred, but her webbing ability isn't gone.

Webs fire out of her broken mouth, grabbing the fire escape, a light pole, and pieces of concrete, and ripping them out of the ground. They're swung around into everyone, as hard as possible, trying to crack skulls and ribs alike.

"Shit!" The photographer shouts out, taking more pictures even as Ioanna likely grabs him to move him to safety.

MEANWHILE: Haru would have gotten shot, if it wasn't for deleting that trigger. He speaks into the phone. He once again destroys a business. He leaves a mafia man terrified.

There's no time for a reply. As Kamen Rider Tetra hits the third business, tough men are waiting around the alleyways. The pizzeria is currently occupied with late night diners, and the men are likely armed. But they're nothing he can't match. Finish this, and he's basically bankrupt Dimitrio Valeska.
Taelveras Reyes calls light, and even with forwarning Taelveras suffers for it. She summons a globe of shadow to surround her, a bubble perhaps ten feet across, but even through it the blinding light is - well, blinding. And painful. Intensely painful. It's like the light stabbed her eyes.

She narrows her eyes until they are barely open at all, but even through that she sees spots. She can't make out faces, or distinguish everyone from everyone else, and falls back for a moment to let other people take the lead on assaulting. There's too many people in close for her to clog it further in her current state - the Rider combination, Rita's strike, the rest. She can still see shapes, though, and she can hear, which means she can still fight. It is harder for her to dodge, but she still almost manages it, smoothly dancing between swipes of the web and the weights on it until the last one clips her, bowling her several yards.

She lands in a crouch, pained but trying not to show it. And after a moment down, she manages to rise, without showing any of the pain she feels. Never show weakness in front of your opponent.

"I've seen all I need to."

Taelveras blurs. It looks like she's teleporting again, just like every other time she's prepared an attack, and it is unclear where she went - she does not immediately reappear.

That's because she didn't go hardly anywhere. She is taking advantage of a chaotic battlefield, of the sun-ball providing intense directional lighting; she is crouching in the shadow cast by the spider kaijin from that light, still and nearly invisible. Her sword is sheathed. She just *stays* there, moving with the shadow but otherwise not doing much.

Until she sees the perfect moment.

Tael draws her sword and slashes all in the same instant, forming a single smooth motion. One movement, one strike, one sheath again afterwards with a faint 'click' from the sword.

The Arcgalael had her opportunity to surrender. She did not take it; instead, she tried to kill them all. Tael may have a code against killing the repentant - but understands very well what you do with those who aren't.
Hibiki Tachibana     After taking all of those, from Kamen Rider beatdowns to Rita making an almost scarily close impression of her right down to a devastating punch, anyone would think the Spider Arcgalael would go down. But even maimed, she's still not giving up.

"Even now, you're just trying to...!?" No, of course she'd never surrender. A storm of webbing rips up the environment, and turns everything around the kaijin into a whirling mess of high-speed debris. A mess of concrete comes in, and her feet leave the ground as her body goes into a horizontal flip, sailing right over it. Another, and she plants a foot on it to launch off of.

It gives her a burst of momentum that's put to use when she grabs onto the wrenched-free light pole as it tries to send her flying, her remaining hand gripping onto it and sending her spinning a few times before she lets go - at an angle that'll send her flying back down towards the Arcgalael at full speed with one foot outstretched.

"You won't be taking anyone down--!" Her heel comes down with immense force and acceleration, but it's not aimed directly at Alice. Hibiki comes down right in front of her instead, boot smashing into the earth and cracking it inwards--before a moment passes, Gungnir's thrusters fire, and she stomps in down to her knee all at once. The ground underneath the Spider Arcgalael explodes straight upwards in a shower of force and concrete, to blow her off her feet and helplessly into the air. Wide open.
Kale Hearthward INTERMISSION

Kale gets slammed with the light pole, sending him stumbling back along the ground. "You're desperate, as if thinking that the final act is almost over-"

                                    ACT  UP
                                    ACT TWO

"But you forgot something important, after the final act-" he says as he rises into the air.

                                    ACT  UP
                                    ENCORE

"COMES THE ENCORE!" he calls as he brings his jet boots around for a rocket-powered dropkick!
Ioanna Langstrom      There's a long, long moment as Ioanna stands there, contemplating what to do. There are two thoughts in her head - one, that she should just take his hand and drag him off, and get him out of the danger zone entirely. But he'll fight that. He'll struggle. He might even hurt himself, or put himself in danger.

So, with a sigh, Ioanna sits down next to him.

"I'll make sure you aren't hurt," she says, "But please be prepared to get behind me if I tell you to."

     "..."

"Why is this so important to you?"
Brooklynn Bailey The spider was being pushed, even now its attacks were becoming desperate, which is what happens when monsters are pushed like this.  Brooklynn continues to move, but when those strands of the web go everywhere, grabbing what they can and try to drag it on them all, she moves.

Maybe some can get between the small hole she makes, but she moves to absorb as much as she can of the whirlwind of concrete and web.  Then it is all over, Brooklynn is laying against part of a broken wall, a piece of rebar stabbed into her side.  She can feel the sting, and slowly she drags the bar out of her side with her bare hands.

Clothing was now torn and ruined, blood from the wound dripping down, but the wound heals quickly.  In fact, her clothing looks more worse for wear than she does.  There is an exhale through her breath...as she looks to give the spider thing a look.

"Stand still," She commands the creature, attempting to use her now fully biblical-looking form, more alien angel than human now, flames outlining her figure.  Hair flowing from her head like wild flames than naturally flowing hair.

This time she throws a spear at the creature, but this time it will miss, aiming to land at her feet.  From it gouts of flame will fire up, aiming to immolate her before dying down.  The firestorm eventually ends, as the spear flies back to Brook's hand.

"I grant thee peace," She says, as then an explosion from the flame builds out, aiming to try and end the creature.
Cantio After plunging that sword into the Arcgalael, Cantio yanks it out and does a relatively impressive flip to get out of the way as the photographer gets into position. "That could have gone a lot worse than it did. Good wo-"

And then Alice speaks up again. Getting into a defensive stance again, Cantio inhales sharply as she actually tries moving through the oncoming projectiles, one hand actually left free to let her guide that telekinetic force around her. A lamp post is shunted aside. A piece of concrete is popped into the air. A fire escape gets forced back into the building it came from.

She holds the sword in front of herself, and then she tries something particularly risky. "If the theory's right, then...!" Holding the sword at shoulder level and pointed right at Alice, Cantio starts sliding around. She's not running or flying or anything, but she's propelling herself back and forth with bursts of force from behind herself to build up speed, then thrusting her sword in passing before shunting herself sideways to avoid colliding right into Alice or anyone else.

Cantio throws her sword backwards, and she slams it forward into Alice again with that same telekinetic power. Taelveras goes for a quick draw slash, and the telekinetic force shoves Alice towards the path of the blade to try and cleave the spider apart. Hibiki breaks the earth to strike at her from below, and Cantio slams downwards to try and flatten the spider. Brook brings the fires out, and the telekinesis aims to force the Arcgalael back into it. Kale comes in for a Rider Kick, and...

Cantio doesn't do anything to help him. She can be petty sometimes.
Candy      "Yeah? Give it your best shot!"

"I'm right here!"

"And here!"

"And here!"

If she's so much better at range, and there's already so many people fighting her up close, the best option is to flood her field of vision with fakes. One Candy after another appears, stepping out from alleyways, lining up shots in windows, firing on her from rooftops, one even making a crude gesture atop a parked car.

Her 'best shot,' however, is a brute-force area attack, and you can't always outsmart pure brute strength. The real Candy is taking cover -beneath- a van, having guessed the nature of the attack based on her oath. Her head, and that broken mandible, are lined up in the ironsights of his MG, his finger about to pull the trigger. The light pole collides with the van, flicking it into the air as if it were paper. More distressingly, it flicks him, too.

Candy is struck, and in that same instant, he is gone. When he reappears, it's a split second after Tael's sword strike. He's cradling his abdomen, his sleeve is red, the stain not quite gone from his mouth. But he's standing. The MG is being used as a walking stick. He watches, as Hibiki launches Alice into the air, as Kale makes a drop kick to send her back down. "Gimme a fucking break," he pants, as Brook sets her ablaze. "Dying because you wanted to keep bleeding poor people dry--/that's/ fucking pathetic."
Chase       TUNE - CHASER BAT

Mashin Chaser replaces the toy car in his Break Gunner with a new one , the shield on his arm shifts onto to his back, and splits apart to become a pair of large metal wings. He then brings the barrel of the weapon to his palm one more time as he holds the trigger, this time holding it in place until it bellows:

     EXECUTION!

With a single flap of his wings, he's up in the sky, his legs adopting a kicking position as he begins sailing towards the Kaijin at high speeds in an act that defies all known laws of aviation.

     FULL BREAK - BAT!

An aura of purple energy surrounds the roidmude's feet right before they impact with Alice's attack, struggling to push through it. Eventually something has to give however, and Mashin Chaser proves victorious, his finishing hissatsu connecting with the spider kaijin's chest.
Rita Ma      The Arcgalael can flail all she likes- Rita simply isn't there.

The way a "apex predator" hunts is very different from how humans romanticize it. People get bumper-stickers of wolves and lions to make themselves feel better about their low testosterone, but it's not about being really scary and aggressive.

When you hunt for your food every day, it's about being patient, lazy, and reliable. Pass up the openings that look too risky. Wait for just the right moment. Don't let them know you're there. Never give your food a chance to fight back.

After all the other attacks have played out, and Hibiki's knocked the Arcgalael into the air, Rita finally shimmers into view standing on a nearby rooftop right behind her.

So does a huge tentacle, arching from Rita's back. It's visible for the first time, translucent, smoky-blue, and evilly ridged with spiral grooves. It tapers to a sharp-looking point.

This ought to make me feel terrible. In front of this many people... I'll want to throw up later. But my body feels hollow and cold, so empty it hurts. More than that, I'm *angry*. My spirit wants her to die, and my body does too. So my mind's worries, they don't count for much.

     Crunch.

The tentacle stabs into the Arcgalael's torso from behind, piercing the spine. It immediately branches out into blue veins that course beneath her skin, permeating her body like a tree putting down roots.

"You're disgusting," she says quietly, as if scared her voice might carry too far. "Hurting people like it won't ever come back to bite you. Counting on the idea you'll always be at the top of the food chain."

     Glk, glk.

Bubbles of luminous blue energy are drawn out of the Arcgalael in audible 'swallows', traveling back up the tentacle in steady pulses. As more and more essence is extracted, the Spider Arcgalael's body will start to turn to dust.

"But you're not anymore. I'll make sure of that."
Reyes     The last thing that Reyes expected to be beaten down with is ARCHITECTURE. The fire escape's a force of nature as far as he's concerned, moving with that much speed and force. Clumsy as he is, there's nowhere to dodge. He's smashed with tremendous force, easily enough to shatter bones. The young man's picked straight up and tossed a hundred feet. After all his ribs likely break from the initial impact he then impacts arm-first against a far building and drops to the ground with a third THUNK following the second CRUNCH.

All the while, screaming in panic and then UTTER AGONY.

But, still, bracing himself against the bloodied building, the man rises, hissing through his teeth. Every foot he wins back from gravity and the awful pain is won through sweat and growling. One arm hangs limply, dangling in a way that is VERY wrong, but his other arm is still... usable.

"Ugh... what was that about not taking another awful hit..." Reyes coughs, spitting out some blood, but he wipes it away, grits his teeth, and raises his good arm. Once again... once again he begins chanting.

Energies flare and sizzle up his arm and into the skies above. Soft bluish light sets the skies swirling. Clouds gather and darken, rumbling and roiling and flashing in a freakishly, improbably-short span of time. The air grows charged across the entire battlefield as the amount of power Reyes is pumping into what ought to have been a very simple spell goes quite out of control. Ten times the required energy for this spell have been dumped into it and more, and the young man's aglow with a terrible light as he forces even more into the clouds.

The flow of power draws down to just wisps...

    "/FRY./"

It all comes down in a barrage of sizzling, arcing torrents of lightning bolts thick as tree trunks, hot as the sun and with deafening thunderclaps to match. Sparks fly and some stray bolts arc this way and that, but the piledriver of lightning's aimed squarely at Alice. And it strikes again and again and again like the hammer of the gods.
Hamada Haru Kamen Rider Tetra rides on. As he approaches his destination, he spies the reception waiting for him and dips beneath the road again. A single button is triggered, flames spouting forth from the motorcycle's exhaust -- though out of line-of-sight for the men on the street, since it passes beneath and through them -- accelerating to maximum speed.

                        DELETION PROTOCOL: BLACK POWDER

The rider machine bursts out of the road and screams against the pavement as it goes in a wide circle through the waiting thugs, through the diners, through the ovens and back room and pizza. No harm is done to anyone, or to structure, for the moment.

It is a pizzeria. This is a place where children eat and play shitty overpriced games.

But not a shot will be fired, and not a shot can be fired.

DELETION PROTOCOL: WALL, CEILING, PIPES, LIGHTING, INTERIOR WIRING...

The list goes on for a moment, and then Tetra does a great donut, once more atop the pizzeria in its entirety. It all goes, except for basic things-- he avoids getting rid of shitty arcade games and the minimal cabling necessary for them to operate. Cash registers and their contents are deleted, but patrons are once more spared.

All that's left standing is foundation, counters, a stone oven if that's the sort that they use, and the food that's been laid out on the surfaces they were laid out on. Drink machines, too, probably.

At the end of it all, Tetra gets up off his machine again and flashes a badge.

"Hamada Haru, Tokyo Metro Rider Services. Kamen Rider Tetra," Tetra says, blandly. He stops by the comically still-present pizza counter and takes a single large slice of meat lovers pizza.

"I'm taking this as payment," he says, waving. "Bye."
Shinnosuke Tomari "101! YOU MISTAKE! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE GODS! US ARCGALAELS!" Alice screams as the attacks come in. Tael's iaijutsu slash cuts off another arm. "YOU'RE STEALING FROM YOUR OWN KIND!" Brooklynn burns spider-flesh off, forcing her still with a command, but it's still not enough to finish her off. She's monstrously tough. Cantio assists everyone else in doing huge damage, as her own sword goes flying, and pieces of building are sent flying back where they belong. Bullets fly from Candy's guns, impacting straight into her and ripping huge holes in her. Hibiki launches Alice into the air, as lightning strikes into her...

The Spider Arcgalael is barely still alive. She's going to die from her wounds no matter what happens. But something shouts out. The belt.

PLEASE ENGAGE IN RIDER KICK
PLEASE ENGAGE IN RIDER KICK
PLEASE ENGAGE IN RIDER KICK

Kamen Rider Exodus taps his thumb to a different part of the belt, and slides it across.

CHARGING ENERGY TO LEGS

Kamen Rider Exodus's legs glow with a brilliant light, as suddenly, he leaps high into the sky, as do Kale and Chase. The photographer, even in all the chaos, manages to get off a picture of the shot. A grasshopper knight with two companions coming down like meteors.

"RIDER KICK!"

The kicks impact with the Arcgalael at the same time, as Exodus bounces off, sliding backwards. "If we're supposed to be like gods, if I'm supposed to be like you, I'd rather be a human."

The Spider Arcgalael explodes, violently. Whatever's left is drained by Rita, who has already started devouring her through the massive tentacle.

ARCGALAEL 76 - ELIMINATED

Kamen Rider Exodus taps a release on the belt. It simply speaks up as he desuits.

CONGRATULATIONS

He seems exhausted, and like he could collapse at any moment. But he's won.

As the final pictures are taken, and it's safe to leave, the photographer turns to Ioanna. "One of those monsters took my brother. If the Corporate Guard won't do anything about them, I will." And then he moves to depart, likely with her aid to get out of there.

Haru has ruined three businesses in one night. A pizzeria is destroyed, even if the pizza is actually not terrible. He might actually like it, honestly.

There will be consequences. But Haru made his punishment clear - thrice returned.

Dimitrio Valeska awaits the Watch for another day.
Cantio "Like gods, huh?" Cantio furrows her brow at Alice's last words, looking over when she hears THE CALL TO KICK. Eyes go wide as she steps back, keeping a considerable distance away and pulling out a tablet hastily to try and record some footage of that kick for her own purposes.

Also, the explosion, but that's more just because it's cool looking. She covers the tablet briefly to shield it from any flying pieces, then slips it away just as quickly while approaching the photographer.

"Are you alright, mister? What's this about your...? A-ah. The monster kidnappings..." She refrains from commenting on the Corporate Guard matter, although she does make a mental note to remember what happened.

Their contacts will need to know about what happened here.
Reyes     It's rare that Reyes gets to see such an epic beatdown befall what is obviously a monster with megalomaniacal goals. Before, though, he wasn't in horrible pain with half his body drenched in blood. But the display does get a strange kind of grin to show up on his face, briefly. That takes care of that, huh?

A few staggered steps away from the building, arm still dangling unnaturally, he ends up finding a nearby bench that got knocked over... he rights it with an angry kick and then plops himself down in it, struggling not to scream.

"We... we beat her! ... Now what...?"
Taelveras Taelveras keeps her sword sheathed. She raises from her half-crouch, giving Mr. 101 a long nod of approval.

Most of the others get a look of their own with varying degrees of poker face. Rita gets an incredibly *disapproving* look. But, given the situation, she doesn't make any further fuss. Right now. But she will remember that. There may be consequences.

But that is for another time. Right now, Tael steps into the shadow and vanishes, reappearing some dozens of yards away and on top of a building. She can see down at the others from up here, but she clearly does not want to talk to most of them.
Kale Hearthward Kamen Rider Encore lands neatly.

"And... there," says Kale, removing his belt. (He's still working on the untransforming callout). "Well!"

He goes over and puts a hand over 101's shoulders. "Hey! Good work! Nice job, nice ride, congratulations and all that."

"You alright? Not too exhausted? I have a feeling we might need to get back to the forward base before another one of these pop up."
Brooklynn Bailey Arcgalael.

They were a bit closer to the truth, and hopefully, they have something they can turn into to the person who hired them.  Right now she is still burning brightly, flames wrapped around her giving her that biblical 'angelic' look.

Though over time she'll start returning back to normal as the magic fades and her body is not responding to being hurt.
