Angela THE CITY OF TOWNSVILLE...

A peaceful day and a wonderful place to visit! Even out of towners...Even WAY out of towners are welcome in this little slice of Americana!....... Well maybe not these out of towners!!

The camera zooms in on a blonde haired woman in a suit that has a leathery patch of skin strapped to her face with a big teethy grin on it. It smells real bad but the blonde woman (Parker) doesn't seem to mind. The scene pulls back to reveal that Parker is not alone. With her is a clerk (Jeff) who is holding an ipad like device in his hands, a blue-haired gender-indeterminate individual with a sideshave cut (Random), and walking alongside of them is their captain Justin Rook (no relation), a relaxed looking man wearing a bakuran with long black hair and twirling a cigarette twixt his fingers. They're all armed with light weaponry and wear similar clothing besides. Outside of Jeff, they all wear a black suit and slacks and a red armband with the letter M on it. Jeff's uniform and slacks brown and he has no tie.

"Does she have to wear that thing?" Random utters to Rook.

"Of course I do! How else will people know I'm happy?" Parker calls back.

"It's ALWAYS smiling!"

"Exactly!"

"Just let it be," Rook advises as the four of them pass by a morning day mugging by the Gangrene Gang helpfully supplying a sight gag. "This place looks as nice as a Nest. You know, for someone named Random you're awfully uptight."

"I didn't pick the name!"

"Now let's try to get along everyone!" A woman's voice chirps from the pad Jeff is holding. "We're still checking out Ya-Boy, so you're going to have to handle this with just the three of you but I believe you can do it with a little extra effort! And don't worry, if you stumble, that's okay so long as you keep trying~."

"And Jeff." Rook quips.

"Yeah, sure. Jeff exists," Random adds.

"How many faces do you think the RowdyRuff Boys have?" Parker asks, fingering her pistol that also has faces stapled to it.

"There's better looking EGO Gear than this..." Random mutters.

"They sound like any other Abnormality so we'll just have to treat them like one. Carefully." Justin lights up his cig and blows out a cloud of smoke. He pauses as his team is about to pass by a Ramen Shop where three young men happen to be eating. He stops suddenly, reaches into his coat pocket and draws out a folded up picture. He looks at the picture.

He looks back up at the Rowdyruff Boys in the flesh. Then back down at the picture Then back up. "...They look more like Rowdyruff Men to me." Rook says.

Jeff sees them and slowly lets out a faint pained half squeal of terror. "Don't antagonize them don't antagonize them..."

Rook draws out a large mace as he approaches, keeping it at his side and lowered. The mace has a cross on its end and on that cross is a skull. And on that skull is a crown of thorns.

"You the Rowdyruff Men?" He asks.

"They have so many faces," Parker whispers in exultant joy.
Rowdyruff Boys THE CITY of TOWNSVILLE...

Is having a peaceful day, actually. What did you expect? It's Friday evening, not Saturday morning. And so, the Rowdyruff Boys are... having dinner.

"Four koku, add an egg to all of them, two edamame, six yuzu soda," Brick drones. His mind is elsewhere, and the exchange is performed on autopilot. Shortly thereafter the three of them are sitting on the pavement out in front of Ramen Tatsunoya with their spread arrayed on the ground around them.

Boomer takes several shots of the ramen and edamame with his phone before he even CONSIDERS eating any of it. He glances at Brick, eyebrows raised. "What's with you?"

Brick makes a questioning noise with a mouthful of broth and noodles.

"He means you're too fucking quiet," Butch offers.

"There's been a lot going on! I was sure you'd have more to say about it," Boomer elaborates.

With an almighty SLURP and a subsequent wiping of his mouth with the back of his hand, Brick replies, "Are you fucking kidding me? I'm not bothering with ruminating on the ongoing bullshit. Everybody else is doing a good enough job of it on their own. All it changes for me is what outsiders are likely to show up fucking about in town."

Boomer frowns, cracking open his soda with a HISS. He takes a sip, stares into the bottle, and then wonders, "Then why're you all introspect-y?"

"I'm not," Brick says, shrugging.

"Prolly just thinking about his SatAM date," Butch chimes in.

"Oh."

Brick's silence is taken as agreement (whether it is or not), and the conversation dies down, overtaken by the occasional pronounced sips and slurps. Naturally, this is a moment absolutely ripe for... MISUNDERSTANDINGS.

//You the Rowdyruff Men?//

"Uh, you know, you don't have to change that to 'men', it's kind of a brand name. The girls didn't become the Powerpuff Women," Boomer answers, helpfully.

Brick toggles a device attached to the collar of his shirt but otherwise ignores them and continues eating. When he notices the other two fail to do so, he puts down his bowl long enough to repeat the gesture like he's used to practically mothering them.

Butch is drinking his second soda, but is obviously paying close attention.
Remee Halcyon THE LIBRARY OF TOWNSVILLE

"What? They're closed?!"

In which: Remee forgot to check the library's operating hours, and thus still cannot get that one book she needs.

THE RAMEN SHOP OF TOWNSVILLE

"Two tonkotsu, koime, double extra meat in both of them, plus an egg in both of them, and..." She considers the menu, and gauges her appetite. "Yeah, actually, make it three orders altogether."

She settles down at the next table over from the Rowdyruffs, and partakes. The ramen has vegetables, but 'soaking in pork juice' is one of the few acceptable ways in which vegetables can be consumed, so it's fine.

She's starting to really like Townsville. There's just enough weirdness that she can let her hair down (or, more accurately, let her fur out) without standing out, and there's two teams of allies that are local to the area so she's less likely to run into trouble (citation needed). And the food here's pretty great, even if most of her trips to that one diner tend to end weirdly.

The loud eating noises from the Rowdyruffs are kind of welcome, too. They remind her of home. Thus she inconspicuously has her ears swiveled that way when the agents arrive and start asking questions.

"Suits," she mutters to herself. Is there going to be trouble? She keys up her radio, just in case.
Utsuho Reiuji Let's be honest: Utsuho Reiuji has absolutely no reason whatsoever to be in Townsville.

Seriously. Nobody asked her to be here. She has no business that takes her here; nobody hired her, and it's not even the sort of place where she'd leave one of her new advertisements. She doesn't need anything from here. She doesn't know anyone from here.

And yet there she is. She is in Townsville because it is one of the names that keeps coming up on the radio and so when she picked somewhere to go she figured she'd pick a name she recognized.

You can see her in a background shot. She can get ramen at home and didn't want it, which means she is instead busily trying to trade some extremely tarnished silver coins for a sub sandwich ('they're still good, look, all of this brown just rubs off!')
Rowdyruff Boys     MEANWHILE, WITH UTSUHO...

A slightly-too-savvy fellow behind the deli counter weighs one of the silver coins and accepts a trade for less-than-face-value. Taking them at face value, it's probably a good trade.

(It is not, however, ACTUALLY a good trade, because the silver value in the coins is high here.)

They throw in some chips, a drink, and cookies out of proportion with what would be expected. There's some yammering about old silver dollars involved, but it probably gets tuned out.
Remee Halcyon CORRECTION Remee is in the diner but at the table closest to the door (past which the Rowdyruffs are).
Kukuru Speaking of outsiders fucking about in town, Kukuru is here! She's heard bits and pieces of what's happened here through... Well, just through listening to the radio, but she hasn't really gotten a clear idea f just how entwined it all is yet. Although she's ostensibly come out to Townsville to do some digging on all that, in reality...

She's already forgotten her original reason for coming out here. The sights sure have been nice to see, though, and there's a ramen shop that sounds like the perfect place to get a snack right about now. She's wearing her usual frilly whiteand green getup instead of something more suited to accidental spills, but she's not too concerned as she heads in to check out the menu!

"Hmm... Oh, can I get one deluxe, one takoyaki, two karaage, pork and chicken gyoza..." Thanks to the power of the internet, she actually pronounces most of these things correctly! It's important to know how to say what she's ordering, after all, especially if it's something she's never actually had before.

It's around that point that she sees a few familiar faces, smiling widely at the suit crew, Remee, and Utsuho. She probably has to turn around a few times to greet them all with lazy waves, clapping her hands together in her moment of glee. "Oh, he-llo everyone! Wow, I didn't think I'd see you all here at once... How nice~"

She's not familiar with the Rowdyruffs, but they get a broad smile from her all the same when she puts two and nothing together. "And you must be... Um. Friends of everyone, right? My name's Kukuru. Ku-ku-ru. It's nice to meet you too, boys~"

She forgot to order a drink to give with all that salty food. That may or may not be a problem later.
Hibiki Tachibana THE CITY OF TOWNSVIL--

...nope, there really is no particularly special or overaching reason for Hibiki Tachibana to be here right this moment. It is very well established that all weird going-ons tend to be localized to Saturdays, and thus a Friday is almost definitely going to be quiet, uneventful, and generally a normal day - or as normal as it gets here.

Which is precisely why she's here, looking as if she (still) hasn't gotten enough sleep. After everything lately, to be quite honest, she doesn't know what to do with herself. The majority of her time has been spent cooped up at home, and it took some pushing from a certain someone to get her to go out and pay Townsville a visit when it's not at risk of catching fire, getting flattened, or going up in a nuclear detonation.

And it'd be kind of nice to give Brick a begrudging thank you, in person, for being the voice of reason lately.

This makes it more surprising than it'd otherwise be when she comes expecting an extra-large bowl of beef miso with dumplings on the side and a little thing of stir fry to go with it, and instead gets...well, /this/ surprise meeting right outside the doors while she's still counting bills.

Rook's mace is given a glance, then another glance, then a real quick look at Parker's mask, and finally she gives a sweeping look between both his group and the Rowdyruffs from the sidelines.

"...I could have swore today was Friday," she murmurs just loud enough to hear.
Miyamomo     Someone is leaving the restaurant right as Remee and Kukuru arrive. Another outsider, clad in a loosely-fitted kimono with a fan of nine violet tails behind her. A genuine nine-tailed kitsune emerges from the ramen shop and produces a pipe from her robes when one of the waiters approaches her from behind.

"Miss, I'm sorry, but we don't accept these." In his hand is the payment she left on the table. A bunch of ancient-looking coins, held together with rope that had been passed through the square holes in the middle of them. Anyone who knows that classical Japanese finances would recognize them as 'mon,' a currency that fell out of circulation in the early Meiji.

"Uh?... oh! Yes, yes of course, I forget sometimes~" The woman begins patting around her robe, before eventually producing multiple crumpled bills, thrusting them into the waiter's hand. It's a large amount, but a glance at the number of bowls sit on the table she was at indicates it's only a little bit 'too much.'

"This should cover it I trust? Thank you very much for the meal, it was sublime~" she says with a wan smile and a bow before turning away, resuming the lighting of her pipe with a snap of her fingers. It is only now that she notices the suits. Particularly Parker with their horrible mask. "Ah~ It's a time for night terrors," she says conversationally to no one but loud enough to hear. Squatting down on the sidewalk, she watches the interaction between the two groups with interest.
Timespace Riders      "...two chicken chashu. Usume. An egg for each." A pensive-looking boy in an apocalypse-world double-breasted coat--Woz--had taken a moment to order. He looks anxiously back at Sougo, the would-be Demon King of Time. Sougo, a boy in an slightly too-large canary yellow button-up, has a face given to warm smiles. He is instead staring distantly out the window while he waits, hands resting alongside the seams of his rolled khaki pants.

They'd spent the day together, but it was far from their usual dynamic. Woz has seemed almost to keep Sougo at an emotional arm's length, and the would-be Demon King's smile often wavers when he thinks Woz isn't looking.

The two of them share an uncomfortably quiet dinner compared to Remee and the boys. Having come in relarively late, they're just finished up by the time the motley team is mid-conversation with the Ruffs.

Sougo's attention is fixed on the exchange, peering out from inside the shop, but Woz seems as though he's trying to pointedly ignore it, as if hoping that with his gaze fixed sternly enough on the wall, Sougo might do the same. He doesn't. Woz then finds himself breathing an unexpected sigh of relief, when Kukuru arrives.

"Hi, Kukuru," says Sougo with tired warmth. "It's good to see you again. Um, I know about those guys outside," he says. "The Rowdyruffs, I mean. They seem like good people, and I feel something coming on. So... I think I'd better keep an eye on things."

Woz no longer looks relieved. He reaches up as if to stop Sougo, but stops short of catching him by the wrist. With a sigh, and a troubled frown, he makes to join his king outside.

Sougo ends up standing with his hands in his pockets, beside Hibiki. Lifting a hand to cup his mouth, he says, "Have you seen these guys before?" He stutters, noticeably--not in his speech, but the sight of him. Like reality had dropped animation frames for a second.
Angela "Ah, thank you, that clears that up." Rook says, certain that he doesn't need to call out to Malkuth for her to update Lobotomy Corp's information with this in mind. His posture remains relaxed but he knows full well that just because an Unknown seems perfectly friendly to start with--doesn't mean it'll stay that way. You can stumble on a landmine at any moment and judging by the reactions of the other two, it'd be a mistake to rely on Butch's personality too much. "Branding's important for Fixer Offices too, gotta be clear about the kind of services you provide your employers."

"We're gonna die we're gonna die we're gonna die." Jeff says, fingering his own more basic looking pistol, staring not at the Rowdyruff Boys but Remee, visible from the window.

Random helpfully baps him upside the head before her attention is drawn by Utsuho. Crow wings, she thinks, could it be that lady...

Neither she nor the captain have any bodies to burn but they might after tonight. It might be their own. There's a visible tension between all the suits even if Jeff is the one that is most overtly panicking and Parker is the least concerned. Random steps away to approach the Hell Raven.

"You the Hell Raven?" She asks. "Corpse Retrieval and Disposal?"

"Miss Kukuru!" Jeff says, gushing with relief. "You're here too! Can you make us big again? There's so many magical girls here...."

"She's a magical girl too!" Random shouts back.

"But she's a friendly magical girl." Jeff says. "I'm sure she's nothing like the Servant of Wrath..."

"Aww, they have nice faces. I'm sure they're happy to play--" Parker begins and then immediately draws a bead on Brick with her strange pistol when he activates the device, pointing right at his head. "You're not trying to change faces are you?"

"Parker..." Rook pushes down on Parker's arm but doesn't get it all the way down. "Don't suppose you'd mind if we took a picture, just to update our files? It's digital so don't think you can sign it..."

Parker doesn't take her eyes off of Brick though she does aside, "It's not 3 AM yet~."

"Hm?"" The datapad speaks again, "Is it Friday? Turn me please, Jeff."

Jeff finally takes his terror-stricken eyes off of Remee and places them on Hibiki, raising the datapad up so Hibiki can see it.

She sees, there, a young woman with short brown hair with a red hairband, unrealistically white skin, and dull brown eyes looking right at her. She's dressed similarly to the agents, with the red band with letter M on it.

"I'm sorry if we're interrupting something important to you. I'm Malkuth, what's your name?" Her eyes flit over to Sougo. "The... 'King', yes? Good to meet you too."
Utsuho Reiuji Utsuho doesn't have much of a head for money (and doesn't need to on this scale of purchase, given she's funded by the Concord) so it is doubtful that she will ever notice she's been taken advantage of, and it's not going to hurt her budget any. Honestly, she's just happy to be given a cookie or two.

She hooks a bag with the rest of it over her rod arm while carrying the meatball sandwich so she can eat it while she walks. Her route takes her toward the ramen shop, without any particular intention to... "It's you!" she says, to Kukuru. Her brows furrow, before she remembers: "Kukuru!"

Her eyes flick toward, of all people, Miyamoto. "Surface youkai!" she blurts out, though by now she's just taken a bite of meatball sub so it comes out a little like "Srfafrkai!" but she can't always be perfect.

She swallows, having been about to add something before she is distracted by Random. "That's me! Utsuho Reiuji. You can tell because of my cloak, nobody else has one of these." She spreads her wings a little bit, which spreads the cloak a little bit, showing the the (animated, somehow) starfield on the inside lining. "And I guess the rest of it," she adds, wiggling the rod with the bag containing chips and cookies hanging off it. It rustles.

She stands on tiptoes - well, tiptoe, her concrete-encased foot doesn't really bend but she can balance on one foot - to look past Random. "Is there gonna be a fight?" she asks, because she saw the weapons.
Kuroto Dan      Being a CEO, Kuroto Dan is an understandably busy man. That said, even he can find time out of his busy schedule to take time off, especially when it's motivated by a petty reason. Said reason being the knock-off riders he fought a while back. There's a good chance the real mastermind has already been found and dealt with since the last time he was in Townsville, but honestly? He doesn't care. It's not about solving the problem really, it's simply about being there on the off chance they somehow show up again so he can cement the fact that his technology is better.

Unfortunately, even a genius like him is weighed down by the physical limitations of his own body, which is a more verbose way of saying that he really needs to stop and eat. Which, eventually leads him to the same place that everyone else seems to be eating at. Purely by coincidence, surely.

He quietly makes an order of gyoza as he takes a seat at his own isolated table, before examining everyone who's there. Of course, there's the stand out with Parker and their mask, but other than an awkward glance, Kuroto doesn't say much. Of course, he has things to say, but not like this. Then comes the others, a few familiar faces and voices, especially the Rowdyruff Boys and Remee who he's met in one form or the other...

And then there's Hibiki and Sougo. Kuroto waits for his food to arrive, before carefully picking it up and making his way towards the two.

     "Tokiwa-san, Tachibana-san. It's been a whi- Ah!"

Kuroto raised his hand to greet the two, completely forgetting he was still holding onto the plate, causing its contents to begin falling to the floor. Not willing to let that happen however, he dives down with surprising agility to catch them back onto the plate before standing back up, now awkwardly adjusting his tie with his free hand. Rather than let that incident linger however, he instead opts to continue where he left off.

     "It's been a while! I hope you're both well?"

He can tell they're not. He doesn't care either, but appearances are appearances, and these two are perhaps some of the most trusting individuals he's encountered in a good while, so it's not like it's hard to keep his image up around them.
Rowdyruff Boys "Nice to meet you, too!" Boomer exclaims to Kukuru. The other two continue eating, mostly. There's definitely a designated face among them, and it's certainly not the surly boys in the back. He gets a quick selfie with her, evidently assuming that's what random passersby want. "Just tell me where to send it~!"

"It is," Brick says, tossing Hibiki one of the spare yuzu sodas. "I do not lose track of days."

It is in this particular moment, while an object is moving in the air, that a flash of blue light follows, and Boomer is simply no longer there-- the trail of blue that wreathed him arcs over the rooftops.

Brick up-ends his bowl and finishes his noodles rapidly because he's not certain he'll get a chance to if he doesn't just wolf it down. He sets it beside him on the sidewalk, eyeballing the presumably-a-gun being aimed at him by Parker. "Your firearms discipline sucks. Talk to me again when you seem exceptional instead of deeply, gravely mediocre."

"We're in public, taking a photograph is lawful enough. I'm not going to give you my blessing, though," he adds, towards Rook.

Butch cracks open another soda with a pronounced HISS. It's a lot louder given the tension going around. That's how that works, right?

"You guys... must have started scoping out the good places, after being in town on weekends so consistently," Brick comments to the gathered crowd, leaning back against the building and dragging a foot underneath him. It's not a good position to bolt up from. Probably doesn't matter, with the flying that's been seen on these guys.

//Is there gonna be a fight?//

"Hold on a sec," Butch takes out his phone and pulls up a calendar. It has days highlighted in green, yellow, and red. Friday is highlighted in green. He flips it around, "Maybe? Sure as fuck isn't normal though."

And yet, Butch is most definitely the most tense of the Rowdyruff Boys-- well, the two of them still hereish.
Kukuru "It's Friday, mhm!" Kukuru replies to Hibiki 'helpfully', waving lightly at her shortly afterwards. Clearly, Kukuru hasn't been here enough to recognize signs of trouble, but she's not a tanuki. She won't be here on Saturday, anyway. "Have you been eating enough, Hibiki? You've been... Busy with stuff lately, huh?"

She has a bit of an idea, at least.

Miyamomo's mass of tails gets Kukuru's attention in passing, too, and her eyes go wide at the implied fluffiness from that visual. "Ooh...  That looks so luxurious... Hm? Night terrors?" That's an unfamiliar enough term that snaps her mind out of the idea of sleeping, at least, and she peers at Miyamomo inquisitively for a bit longer before turning to Sougo and Woz.

"Oh? He-llo, Sou-go and Wozzy~ You do? Ah, that's good, then..." She lets out a relieved sigh, her already lowered guard somehow going down even further. "If you think they're good people, then there's nothing to worry about. Ah... Things?" She pauses, finally piecing all of the strange occurences together to realize...

She doesn't realize anything right away, but she'll worry about anything bad if it happens. For now, she just giggles lightly at Jeff's greeting and question. "Oh? Maybe later, okay? It's really tiring to get so many of you big all at once, but maybe after eating?" She offers with an apologetic smile, then raises an eyebrow when Random speaks of magical girls and Parker gets out her gun.

Maybe that's what Hibiki and Sougo were worried about. "Hey, hey, this is a food place. If you're gonna do anything silly, make sure it happens outside, okay?" She chides nobody in particular, already turning to greet Utsuho with a wide smile when her name is remembered. "Mhm! Good job, Utsu. And no, no fighting inside. It could put the food in danger." She reiterates, but her stern-ish tone doesn't even last all of two seconds before she's chuckling again at Boomer's face-y greeting.

Out of reflex, she throws up the peace signs at the camera with yet another smile. "Aw, how sweet! Oh, you can just send it to my phone! Um.... Yyyou." She oblivious enough to not recognize Boomer or his brothers, but she won't turn down a nice picture! She can't quite keep track of where he goes after taht, though, but her attention is once again claimed by the Boys and the building tension outside.

"... Well! If anyone's gonna be roughhousing, don't go too far, okay? Teleporting and healing a bunch can get tiring, too." She lies as easily as she breathes. She just doesn't want to move far from this shop.
Remee Halcyon Remee immediately tenses up on seeing the kitsune, and doesn't really relax till she's convinced that Miyamomo's attention isn't focused on her specifically.

Kukuru gets a return wave, though Remee is focused either on her food or what's going on outside.

Eventually, she finishes her second bowl, and takes the third outside with her to go say hi, and makes her way out just in time to catch Brick giving Parker a comment about firearm discipline. Ah. So they're *that* kind of suits.

"There a problem, gentlemen?" she says, boosting her Karen Levels to about 25 percent.
Hibiki Tachibana     "Nope, not at all," Hibiki whispers back towards Sougo when he saddles up next to her, raising a hand (the one not holding her yet-unspent money) to catch the soda Brick throws her - with a slightly raised eyebrow at his visible stuttering first, and then towards a member of the Control Team. "...Actually, now that I think about it, I swear I've heard his voice somewhere before..."

Her eyes are on Rook as she says that, though it's not long at all before they go to Jeff instead.

"Ah--" Whether it's something about Malkuth's appearance, her politeness, or maybe just the misunderstanding over what she's here for, Hibiki stops and blinks for a moment when she's addressed, just to drop a little bit of her tension.

"Hibiki. ...Hibiki Tachibana. Um, nice to meet you, Malkuth. Sorry, you weren't interrupting anything. I was just..." She gives the team another once-over, once again going to Rook's mace and Parker's handgun. "...hoping your...friends? Employees...? Weren't here for a fight or anything like that. I don't think they want one, though?"

She glances Brick's direction, just to double take towards Kukuru instead after a second. "Wait, did they just call you a magical girl?"

And that's not even the last surprising thing today, when none other than the CEO of Genm Corp himself is here and catching gyoza dumplings in freefall. Talk about a one-two punch. Some of her obvious tiredness even goes away for a moment. "Kuroto-san!? You're here, too!? That was...kind of impressive. Uh." Pause. She glances a little bit off to the side.

"...I'm okay. We haven't spoken in a while, so I was actually a little worried how things have been on your end."
Miyamomo     "It's 3am somewhere~" Miyamomo says in response to Parker's aside, with the air of someone who has used a similar-sounding excuse for other reasons. Her eyes light up as the gun comes out, and she gasps as Boomer just vanishers, her eyes following his trail to the rooftops. "Ah! That was some incredible speed! And flight too?!" Her eyes swivel to his brothers, and she asks, "Can you two do that too?!" Now she looks at Parker, and seems to be quietly begging them with her eyes to pull that trigger, until..."

"Ah! Sun Raven!" she shouts in response to Utsuho, flash stepping over to pull her into a fond hug, before pulling back and smiling. "You are well I hope? It took me a while to recover from our bout, how about you? Fighting fit once more?" Kukuru asks a question, and Miyamomo nods. "Yes, you know. Bad dreams~" She gestures once more at the horrifying grin on Parker's mask, as if it's all self-explanatory. "Worry not, it will pass. They always do."

Dan's flurry of movement inside the restaurant catches her eyes too, and she laughs. "Goodness, is everyone here fast?" She catches Remee staring and smiles at her, showing a little too much teeth. "How about you Miss Wolf? You seem wary of me? Going to run away~?"
Timespace Riders (Earlier...)

"It sure has, Mr. Dan! It's really good to see you. I've been keeping an eye out for the people misusing your work. Nothing so far," he says, with a hopeful tone, "But I'll let you know as soon as I find any. And please let us know if you need help!"

Outside and presented with a tablet video call, he blinks and makes an endearingly buffoonish noise of enthused surprise, at the tablet being turned to face him. He waves. "That's me! Hi Malkuth! You must be pretty busy," Sougo manages to smile for her, before his expression shifts to a thoughtful frown. "If you know who I am, and you're not..." He trails off. "...Well, you must know a friend of mine, I think. Or you're with the Concord! Either way, um..."

He motions with a nod towards the superpowered trio. "The Rowdyruffs... I don't think you need weapons with them. I know the Powerpuffs a little better, but... these guys really don't mean any harm."

"A worthy pursuit, when one intends to do more than simply pass through," says Woz to Brick, of the choice in tonight's fare. It makes sense. He'd reacted pretty strongly to Futaba suggesting a hypothetical Denny's, after all.
Kuroto Dan      "Me? Fast? Well, I suppose I have to be to get to all my meetings on time."

Kuroto answers Miyamomo, nervously chuckling a bit at what he just said. He turns his attention briefly to his gyozas, picking one off the plate with his fingers to bite into, his eyes widening a bit as he spits it out.

     "Hot!"

He repeats that word a few times as he blows on his food, trying to cool it down a bit before finally responding to Hibiki and Sougo.

"Ah, is that so? Honestly, I'd rather you not concern yourselves over that. Kids like you should be having fun, not throwing yourselves into danger. Anyway, I'm glad to hear you're both doing well!"
Utsuho Reiuji "It's fine," Utsuho assures Kukuru, "we're outside. But the food's outside too, so..." It might still not be the best idea in the world.

Butch confirms there is probably not going to be a fight because it's not scheduled. Utsuho accepts this as fact. "Oh, okay. I thought there was going to be." She doesn't seem especially inclined to start one, or at least *she* isn't the one waving weapons around.

It had been so long that Utsuho had forgotten Miyamomo's name, but Utsuho was *absolutely* not going to cop to that one.

"Of course! We can do it again if you want... but probably not now, I don't want to fight you with a sandwich!" She is busily trying to hold it well out of the way to not accidentally smoosh it against Miyamomo, so the hug is more than a little awkward, with Utsuho having one arm stuck straight out. But she's trying.
Remee Halcyon > "How about you Miss Wolf? You seem wary of me? Going to run away~?"

"Oh, uh, just had some fox problems lately. You aren't him, though." Remee doesn't seem to be too intimidated by the teeth, necessarily.

<Tac-Watch> [4] Brick says, "We've been visited by more than a few letter agencies."
<Tac-Watch> [4] Brick says, "Usually it's because we have better access to space than they do."
<Tac-Watch> [4] Remee Halcyon says, "Didn't file a flight plan?"
<Tac-Watch> [4] Brick says, "No, it's because I mined out 16 Psyche and made gold worthless."

"... Say, you all looking for a job to do?" Remee asks the Rowdyruffs.
Angela "Anything you say, Kukuru!" Jeff chirps. "Kukuru says to be polite, everybody!" He is, of course, ignored.

"Well, maybe." Random says, unintentionally agreeing with Butch. "I don't think they're magical girls, they're Fixers. They sound like Fixers. It's just, y'know, the trappings but in practice they probably do Fixer work." When Boomer flies off they add. "Actually I get the vibes like they're a Color."

Whatever a 'Color' is, the Agents only have more apprehension about the situation. Parker's expression is impossible to read due to the mask but she does willingly lower the weapon for the moment.

"What's trigger discipline?" She asks with (presumably) open eyed wonder.

"For normal guns you generally don't want to ready your gun like that unless you intend to fire it because it's a waste of bullets." Rook says. "Not really an issue for your EGO. Don't worry about it, Parker." The possibility that Brick being more concerned of shooting someONE without meaning to is too gentle to occur to him.

Parker quiets down as she marvels over Miyamomo's wisdom, staring at Brick. "The Colors of other worlds..."

Malkuth is all smiles. They seem genuine. "Oh I'm very busy. I'm the Control Department Head of Lobotomy Corp and that's a job that takes a lot of hard work! But the Sephirah aren't supposed to leave the building. But it might be fun if you got some of your Concord friends and paid us a visit. We've never had a King visit before but we have a Warpgate so it's possible... It's actually the only way in or out right now, eheheheh..."

She looks down, making notes on her clipboard. "Don't mind me, ahahah, I'm just taking notes to keep track of everything... I learned about you through Rook over there! You talked over the radio. We're newly connected but we'll do our best to be a helpful partner to the Concord, okay?"

To Hibiki, she has a bit more context. "Oh we don't mean-- it is a sub-classification for Abnormalities. Since we are using an Abnormality to reach other universes, those through the Warpgate are also classified as Abnormalities for the moment. Being a girl doesn't really factor into it but magical girls tend to be classified as WAW level threats so they are being cautious since the last time a Magical Girl broke out, she killed 4 Agents and 8 clerks."

Sougo skips frames as he goes back, back to the past, Samurai Jack. Starting with Rook..
Angela "We're new to the multiverse so we have to learn everything we can and catch up, even if it means poking a few hornet nests, Rook. Can I count on you to do your best? It's okay if you mess up, so long as you try your hardest."

The first thing that hits Sougo is the smell. It smells like rotting meat in here. And blood. And other smells he can't quite identify. Chemicals.

The second thing that Sougo notices is that Malkuth's voice is coming from something that doesn't look like the Malkuth on the screen at all. Instead it is coming from a rectangular robot with a singular yellow eye, a familiar looking notepad held by two pronged metallic hand. The word MALKUTH is emblazoned in glowing black and pale orange-yellow where the 'forehead' would be if it wasn't just a square box.

Is she a robot?

... The Smell is coming from the box.

"Don't worry, Chief.." Rook doesn't seem to either notice or mind either way. "Parker's coming so I'm sure we'll get the hornets swarming in no time and we'll get all sorts of goodies for the Information Team."

"I knew I could count on you~. And watch over Jeff, he seems about ready to give up..."

Checking in on the others indicates they are largely following Rook's orders here and it's more of the same. A line summarizing their thoughts and behavior...

Ya-Boy was killed in an instant... I have to be careful for them...
I can't wait to see these cuties...
Please...please, that magical girl killed all my friends, please....
A Fixer'll die if you pay them, but if it takes some of the burden off Malkuth...
Kukuru There's another face that Kukuru doesn't spot right away, too: The pale one with the red hairband!  Once she does, though, she abandons her food again to get a closer look at Malkuth. It takes her all of two seconds to clap her hands together, apparently coming to a conclusion about something: "You should get outside more. I know some nice spots to take a nap outside if you ever wanna see them."

That vacant smile returns to her face, and then she giggles lightly at Hibiki's question. "Did they? Ah, but I couldn't pull off all that twirling and fancy transformy stuff... Could I?" She blinks slowly at that revelation, then turns from Hibiki to the agents again, then to Kuroto to greet him with yet another casual smile and wave.

The more attentive types might notice that there's a slight gleam in her eyes after seeing him make that save for the food. "He-llo, Ku-ro. Good catch~" She offers encouragement in the form of a broad grin and thumbs up, and then she just gives up on keeping appearances to instead approach him for a ruffle of the hair and a hug from the side. "Don't worry, you won't have to worry about going hungry around us, okay?"

Miyamomo explains the night terror thing, and Kukuru's gaze goes from her to Parker's mask, then right back to Miyamomo with a knowing nod. "I see, mhm... It's kind of cute in a way, isn't it? Just like the masks they used to have back home..." She murmurs, recalling something from her earlier years with a fond sigh before eyeing Remee when Miyamomo seemingly challenges her or something. "Oh? Aw, don't worry, Remee. She's friendly!"

Jeff gets some lights pats on the head as a reward. Granted, it's not too hard to get these from Kukuru, but it's the thought that counts! "Colors...? Fixers? Like a mechanic, but for... Teams?" She asks, clearly unfamiliar with the terms being used and just sort of guessing based on the Rowdyruffs having their visible color coordination right in front of her. She's mostly looking at Rook for guidance there, though, then Malkuth as she explains her position with the corporation the agents are coming from.

If nothing else, at least it's clearer now that the Sephirah shouldn't be outside, whatever they are. "Taking notes on so many new things at once? Wow... Doesn't it make your head hurt, trying to keep track of all that?"

Abnormalities are brought up again, and that at much is vaguely familiar from the other day. "Definitely sounds tricky, this... Um. All of this. But I'm sure you'll all do fine with the Concord as long as you keep working hard!" She chimes in with some more words of encouragement, then taps her chin lightly. "Are... Um. Are magical girls usually super dangerous? And do they have to be girl-aged?"
Rowdyruff Boys "Yep," Brick says to Miyamomo, eyes flicking towards her tails and back to her face. "Don't make a habit of demonstrating on demand, much less when people are fishing like this. That sort of expectation is why we don't run with superhero outfits."

In other words, they resent being seen as a solution to other people's problems as a default.

"It's Egypt, by the way. It's 3 in the morning in Egypt."

To Woz, he asides, "Try the Bone Kettle. Bit pricy, but it's one of the best places in town. They do mapo tofu fries."

Brick, despite his flippancy and disinclination to engage or open up or share IS paying attention. Keywords like Colors, Fixers (though that one is self-explanatory), EGO, Sephirah, Lobotomy Corp, Abnormalities, WAW, and lastly not an acronym, since the last time a Magical Girl broke out.

Before Brick addresses any of that, he looks at Remee, "I mined out 16 Psyche so I wouldn't have to engage in things like 'jobs' that I don't want to do. If you want us to do something you should ask. We can't be bought."

Butch frowns. He shifts in his seating position, picking up what's left of his food and taking a moment to deposit disposables in a nearby bin. Then he turns towards the LobCorp team. "Sounds to me like you lock magical girls up, that this is the moment you're least prepared to deal with anybody from this world, and that you classified us as magical girls."

It's not as matter-of-fact as it would be coming from Brick. Butch always has some feeling to his words. In this case his hackles are raised, but he's not hostile yet.

"The faces thing," Brick says, jabbing at his own illustratively with an index finger. "We don't. We could, but none of us ever bothered practicing the morphic body shit much."
Timespace Riders      Woz gives a respectful inclination of his head and a curt half-bow to Brick. He appreciates the recommendation, even through whatever he and Sougo are going through right now.

"Your words of counsel are well-given, Kuroto Dan." His tone indicates he appreciates it--yet at the same time, has come to doubt that Sougo will take them under advisement. His conflicted frown seems to say there's more than just a retainer's concern behind his agreement.

That blip earlier, from Sougo--it was deceptive, for the amount of past events he witnessed. Being an observer unable to interact has its advantages and disadvantages. One such (dubious) advantage is not disrupting a meeting with his strong reaction to the acrid stench. After lifting his shirt over his nose, he can focus fully. It's then that he notices the source of the smell--Huh...

Back in the present, after his little visual stutter, Sougo continues as if it hadn't happened. "I'd love to visit sometime soon," he says with warmth in his voice and a tired smile on his face. "And like I told Mr. Dan, I'm happy to help if you guys need." Sougo takes his hands from his pockets to stretch, then sits down on the curb.

"Do you work with Angela, Malkuth?" he asks. "I spoke to her a little while ago, and it sounds like you work in the same place, but... with all the work you do, it also sounds like it's a pretty big company."

Looking past the tablet, at Random and Jeff, "These guys are cool," he says. "You don't have to be guarded around them! The guy that runs the diner, um, he's a little different... but I'm sure he means well."
Rowdyruff Boys "Dad is capable of positive feelings, but it's a mistake to think of him as an entity that ultimately means well," Brick interjects towards Sougo. He also nods back at Woz.
Hibiki Tachibana     "Ahaha...it's a little too late for that kind of advice," Hibiki replies to Kuroto, with a little bit of forcibly injected energy this time around. Rubbing at the back of her neck, she honestly can't bring herself to say anything that might bring down the cheer of the poor and slightly bumbling CEO, so she quickly adds on. "...But I'll try to take it easy. Still, if you ever need help with anything, just let me know, okay?"

No, she has not ever pieced together getting a message from Kuroto into getting ambushed by Genm. And yes, she does still feel bad about losing that Gashat.

Thankfully, she doesn't linger on that for too long, since there's a lot of interesting stuff and Capitalized Words she doesn't understand being thrown around, among other things. EGO...Lobotomy Corp...Fixer...Color...and more. Huh. One look at her face is enough to tell she's probably only processing a fraction of it - including the Concord affiliation, for as much as it matters to her - but that's probably enough.

"O-Oh, I see..." Hibiki isn't sure how she feels about potentially being categorized as something called an Abnormality, but it /is/ just a classification, and Malkuth seems like she doesn't actually mean anything by it. That and, for a world striking out in the Multiverse for the first time, honestly? Understandable. Except for one part. "Wait, magical girls where you're from do that--?"

There's a little bit of look somewhere between shocked and mortified on her face, although it simmers down to something more like general awkwardness after a moment as she looks from Malkuth's datapad to the rest of the Control Team. "W-Well, uh...for whatever it's worth, I can promise that magical girls out here don't...do that sort of thing. Like the...you know, magical girl-magical girls."

She actually cannot get the mental image of Kukuru as one out of her head now. This arguably works to help get rid of some of her depression.
Miyamomo     "Oh I'd love to sometime Sun Raven~" It's very likely that Miyamomo has also forgotten Utsuho's name, hence her adherence to the strange title instead. "You are correct however. Fights at the table are just bad taste, even in this place where food is eaten on foot. One cannot bring all of themselves to the battle when leaving their stomach behind~" That was something almost sagacious, if kind of on the level of obvious that The Art of War operates on. 'Don't fight on an empty stomach,' is absolutely on the level of 'don't pick fights you won't win.'

"Yes Miss Wolf. I'm oh-so-friendly~" she says to Remee, still showing teeth. There might be a little bit of animosity there? Not specifically for Remee, more generalized. "Cute?" She looks to Parker again, and cocks her head from left to right, then back to Kukuru. "I'm afraid you're asking the wrong person dear~ I don't have an eye for aesthetics," she says, in her flashy kimono. She might just be politely disagreeing though.

"The colors?" she says in response to Parker, not putting the right emphasis on it. "Oh yes, I've seen many new colors ever since I left my cave~ For example..." She gestures at the neon sign of Ramen Tatsunoya, buzzing away with electric blues and purples. "It's a brilliant display, isn't it? Though, I've also seen lands scorched and trampled beyond anything mere fire and feet could ever do to it, places poisoned in ways I don't fully understand. Soil dyed a miserable, deathly grey, trees mere spindly black cracks in the world..." Her face falls some...

But she brightens up when Brick confirms that all his brothers can fly and move at that speed. "Incredible! In my day, the sky was the domain of birds and tengu like the Sun Raven here, but so many these days can take to it. You three, Ichigohime..." She exhales in soft wonderment, hands to her cheek. "You mentioned that you schedule your fights. May I request a bout? I'll take any of you, or even all three at once if you like!"
Angela "Well yeah, if we don't lock them up they kill us. And we can't kill them so..." Rook is indifferent to the possibility of this reflecting badly on Lobotomy Corporation. Random is more anxious about it but is staying near Utsuho.
[ransi(hb, "Yeah, hopefully no fighting. Just some prodding.")] Random murmurs to her. Lord knows how Lobotomy Corporation would classify a 'Hell Raven' but she just doesn't have the same threatening aura as the Rowdyruff Boys right now. Maybe it's because of her personality or maybe it's because she is running a Corpse Disposal Service which is completely normal to them, Hell Raven or not. The Rowdyruffs are eating ramen which is also normal. And they have a dad who runs a diner--well that doesn't put them at ease at all, especially with Brick's clarification. Especially with how he's called HIM. The idea of a Mojo Jojo is also unnerving even though they don't know who this Dad, Mojo Jojo, actually is or what he, Mojo Jojo, is like at all.

Malkuth listens to Hibiki carefully "Oh no...they don't?" Malkuth's smile fades--it's not entirely gone but there's this stressed look in her eyes. "We're going to have to redo our entire classification system... I hope they appreciate all the trouble it's going to be. Rook!"

"Yes ma'am?" Rook doesn't take his eyes off of Butch.

"They're different from our magical girls."

"Yes ma'am. I'd classify them as Colors as far as threats go--maybe Grade 1 if I'm being overly cautious. They aren't real Colors, 'fcourse, but they act like 'em and are fast as 'em, and can probably wreck our shit as well as a Color. I'd use Fixer categories for them rather than Abnormality categories. They've got the right swagger."

He finally turns away from Butch and Brick and makes his way back to Random. "That wasn't so bad, was it?"

Random sighs. "...No Captain."

"If you're gonna ever climb up the ranks you're gonna have to be able to look at a situation you don't have much intel on and keep cool while you assess the situation."

"I'm not even sure if I'll ever get back to the Nest again." Random mutters but doesn't otherwise argue.
Angela Jeff seems relieved that the tension seems to MAYBE be abating. At least from his team's side. He moves the pad around so Malkuth can get a good look at the two remaining Rowdyruffs.

"Oh I'd love to, but I'm not allowed to leave the premises right now... Also humanoid AI are outlawed by the City so..." Malkuth tells Kukuru.

Jeff gets headpats. He is feeling better already. Jeff is firmly as on Team Kukuru as he can be. He is the kind of guy that would donate a thousand dollar superchat to her streaming service. "Eheh... Colors are the best of the best Fixers around. They're kind of like mercenaries for hire, they're reliable so long as you can pay them..."

Malkuth adds to Kukuru, "Magical girls don't have to be girls, or young or anything. We classify them through unexplained magical-like abilities, and mental and physical transformations. They're usually quite deadly. It's a bit of an unofficial classification but keeping track of similar Abnormalities helps us because sometimes similar Abnormalities can synergize... Like, well... Those two?"

Parker doesn't have much of an attention span and is distracted by Miyamomo. "Hahaha, not those colors. I like your face. Can you tell mine is happy?"

Malkuth is asked about Angela! "Oh yes. Angela is the direct assistant to Manager X and she manages us Sephirah. When one of us is lacking, she is supposed to pick up the slack but...um...well..." She trails off. "If you come by the Corporation you could talk to her yoursel--"

Malkuth blips out suddenly, the screen shifting to a pale haired and paler faced woman in a labcoat with her eyes closed.

"Agents, prepare to extract yourselves. Clerk, remain." She says.

The agents, even Parker, start gathering up, though Rook lingers, glancing over as Remee offers a job to the Rowdyruffs.
Remee Halcyon Remee glances over at Rook as he lingers.

"... What, you looking for a new gig, too?"

A business card is offered.
Rowdyruff Boys "It's not a schedule. Just statistics," Brick answers Miyamomo, and jerks a thumb towards Butch. "If you want to fight just to fight, he's the one you're looking for. I got over the destruction-for-fun thing a long time ago." Mostly, a tug at the corner of his lips seems to say.

Butch glances back at the calendar. "Yeah, but there's probably a thing TOMORROW... so maybe not right now? But hell yeah, sure. You just like to fight, or are you some kinda sensory enthusiast? You've got a wild way with describin' things."
Rowdyruff Boys                   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKieGUH9pzg
Through the surrounding traffic and ongoing conversation, comes the sound of a siren. Several sirens, actually. A proportionate amount of sirens for... oh, say, a couple of people brandishing firearms in a California city.

Police cars collapse in on the road forming positions of cover from their cars, followed soon by the people within pouring out to the covered side of the cars. Although uncharacteristically no weapons are brandished...

"DROP THE WEAPONS AND PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD!" calls a loud voice from a louder megaphone.

Brick's expression contorts in confusion-- and then in aggravation. He looks over towards the arc that Boomer took. "Really? You called the fucking cops? Are you fucking kidding me?"

"SORRY!" Boomer's voice thunders from somewhere several blocks away.

Butch just kind of stares in mute aggravation.

Brick takes a deep breath and sighs as if greatly burdened. He asides to Rook, "This is the state of California, brandishing your weapons is a felony." After a moment or two of lingering on that statement, he adds, "Seeya."

Just like Boomer, one blink and Brick is gone, leaving behind a glowing trail of red light.

Butch just kinda stands his ground and stares SOME MORE. He shrugs after an unnaturally long time to react to this has passed, and goes to order two more bowls of ramen.
Angela "Networking's the biggest part of the job. A good Fixer never turns down a card." Rook takes a business card and--

OH SHIT IT'S THE POLICE!!

Rook seems confused. #-1 INVALID ANSI DEFINITION: +xterm "The fuck's a cop?"
Angela "Networking's the biggest part of the job. A good Fixer never turns down a card." Rook takes a business card and--

OH SHIT IT'S THE POLICE!!

Rook seems confused. "The fuck's a cop?"
Utsuho Reiuji Utsuho definitely agrees with 'you can't fight on an empty stomach', given how she attacks that sub sandwich when she isn't otherwise occupied.

"Oh, it's tomorrow?" Utsuho thinks about that for a moment, and makes a mental note of it that she may or may not actually remember when it comes to *be* tomorrow. It is especially likely to fall out of her head when something comes up that makes her bristle. "I'm not a tengu! Those are CROWS. I'm a RAVEN. It's totally different!"

(it is not totally different)

The cops arrive. Utsuho mostly looks baffled rather than anything else. "I didn't do anything!" she says, loudly, which is absolutely true if you count only today. "Anyway, I can't put my HANDS on my head, I only have one and it's full!" She waves - well at this point it's mostly just a sub sandwich wrapper, energetically. Her other hand, the rod, still has a bag with cookies, a little thing of chips, and a canned soda hanging off it; it threatens to slide down when she waves her arms. "And I can't drop any weapons either!"

Utsuho thinks hard about the situation for about five seconds (you can practically hear the gears grinding) while she decides if she wants to put up with any police before she spreads her wings, beats them once as she jumps into the air, and then rockets upward. Literally; something like thruster-light burns out from underneath her cloak and she goes straight up fast enough as to be little more than a dot in the sky shortly. The dot turns about ninety degrees and heads northeast.
Remee Halcyon Remee has both hands on her ears as the sirens close in - and a moment later, is back in human form, which has blessedly worse ears.

"Jeez, do they always have to be that loud?"

Remee brings her hands back to her sides, and conspicuously, not 'up'. Why should she have them up, anyway? The police are for arresting people without money, everyone knows that.
Kukuru Kukuru getsout her phone to tap in some notes. "Mapo... Tofu... Fries. Bone Kettle." Try as she might, she can't help but overhear matters of food. Sougo mentioning a diner, too, gets her attention, as does Brick bringing up his father for some reason. Even Kukuru can put things together, and she taps in yet more notes! "Brick's... Dad's.. Diner. Okay~ I'll make sure to stop by there sometime, too."

The potential danger of magical girls isn't completely ignored, of course, but Kukuru takes it all in stride as she moves on over to Hibiki to clap a hand gently against her shoulder. "Oh, Hibiki knows. She's a magical girl! I think. Um... She has a cute outfit like one." She affirms to Malkuth. "But she's never done anything super dangerous to other people, so she's okay."

Listening to Malkuth and Rook helps explain some things, though, as Kukuru's able to deduce a little more about the classification system involving Magical Girls and Colors. Fixers and Abnormalities still remain something of a mystery to her (although it's somewhat helped by Jeff's explanations), as is Malkuth's assertion about not being allowed to leave the premises.

"But... You're here. Isn't that off those premises?" Kukuru's probably missing something here, but she sounds confident enough in her logic! She listens closely as the magical girl classification is explained, though, looking more confused by the time she finishes. "Then... Hmm. Well, if it works for you kids, it must be right even if I don't get it."

Smiling confidently again, she squints a bit as Malkuth uses that Sephirah again. "So you're all... Um. Okay, agents like yourselves are all Sephirah because..." She'll be here for a while trying to figure it out at this rate. Luckily, Kukuru's train of thought is interrupted by another face replacing Malkuth's on the screen, then sirens and shouting.

"... Huuh. Wonder who they're talking to." Kukuru shrugs, then promptly goes back to eating. She's not going to let some noise stop her from enjoying her meal, after all!

She's actually really good with the chopsticks, too. Shame her actual ramen eating technique sucks.
Miyamomo     "Is it happy? I'm sorry dear, I'm a fox. Bared teeth just scream 'aggression' to me~" Miyamomo says kindly to Parker. Looking to Butch, she smiles serenely. "I am alive in the world, and experience it every day, as are we all. In that sense, are we not all sensory enthusiasts? But, to answer your question properly... I live to fight." It comes through. This whole time, she's had a sleepy look in her eyes. But when she says that, a light comes in inside them, and she seems more 'aware.'

And then the cops show up.

"Oh no! I guess that wasn't enough for the ramen?!" she exclaims. Inhaling a large puff from her pipe, she exhales a thick cloud of smoke from her mouth that engulfs her. Then suddenly, hundreds of Miyamomos seem to erupt from it, all running in different directions, running down the street and up buildings and squeezing into storm drains.
Hibiki Tachibana     Ah...haha..." Even Hibiki isn't immune to Malkuth's change in expression, leading to an awkward chuckle. She sure didn't expect them to change their classification system on a dime - but it works...probably. Hopefully it won't be too much effort for them.

And Colors and Fixers sound kind of cool. Or maybe that's just because Rook used 'swagger'. Between this and Kuroto's unexpected appearance, she might not've gotten her ramen and gyoza (yet), but at least this has done a good job of helping take some weight off her mind. For now.

And when Kukuru claps a hand on her shoulder, she nods along. Cat's out of the bag there, so she puts on a slight smile and scratches at her cheek. "...Guess I just had to defend the name a little bit." Even though she's been feeling a little unworthy of the title, lately.

And then the cops show up.

    Flatly, "...I'm following Butch."

    She's going to get three.
Timespace Riders      "Oh, really? That sounds--eh?!" He blinks owlishly, when the image of Malkuth is gone. Replaced, by Angela. Sougo waves cheerily, though anyone who can look past his exterior can tell there's still something gnawing at him beneath it. "Hi, Angela! Malkuth was just telling me about working with you. If there's any kind of questions I can answer about how everything works out here in the Multiverse, don't hesitate to ask! Even if I don't know... Woz is really knowledgeable."

The retainer gives a curt nod, but quickly finds an excuse to look away.

The approaching sirens have him standing up, reaching and scratching the back of his head sheepishly. "The police, huh... um, Mr. Rook, the police are... well, I guess it depends on how you look at history..."

"They are the enforcers of the local government; their hand among the common people," he says, managing one of his theatric upturns of the chin as countless Miyamomos scatter. "Here to begin the process of punishment for an infraction of their law. My Demon King, let us away from here," he says.

     Sougo nods, absently.

Woz reaches for his scarf, and flings it out with a flick of his wrist. The garment expands impossibly, enveloping the two in a sphere of rustling fabric, before disappearing like water down a drain. Empty air is left where they stood.
Angela BEFORE MOJO JOJO BIZARRE ADVENTURE: POLICE FREQUENCY

"Oh um," Malkuth had managed to say to Kukuru. "Using a communication terminal like this is fine..."

AFTER MOJO JOJO BIZARRE ADVENTURE: POLICE FREQUENCY

"The fuck's a California." Random says. Out of the Agents present, she's the only one who hasn't drawn a weapon. The clerk, Jeff, had drawn a pistol (it only has one bullet in it). "H-hey I didn't do anything wrong!" He stammers. "This gun is just for shooting myself!" But it's too late, he's already grabbed by a cop who confiscates his pistol and cuffs his hands behind him. Random just barely seizes the datapad before it is also confiscated. "Miss Kukuru...!! Please visit me in...Where are we going?"

"To jail, wiseguy." The cop says.

"Please visit me in jail!" Jeff cries out.

Rook and Parker don't seem inclined to listen to these cops who don't even seem to be armed but...

"Agent. Let me get a good look around." Angela orders.

Random dutifully swings the pad around, giving Angela a good view of the police and the rest of the the Townsville in view, including the Ramen Shop.

"...So this is what a Nest looks like outside our world..." Angela's eyes have opened just slightly, revealing bright yellow eyes--cold with an odd glint to them. Using Miyamomo's exit, Random starts backing off towards an exit strategy.

"Show me the actual magical girl."

Random, now a LITTLE more nervous about Hibiki but trying to get over themselves, guides the datapad, aiming it right at Hibiki.

Angela observes Hibiki coldly. "Adequate, Agent. Now the King."

Random shows Angela to Sougo again. She listens to him explain the concept of police. "Thank you. Please come to Lobotomy Corporation for proper communication. I will grant you permissions."

Rook was also listening to Sougo describe the police and he doesn't like it, no sir. It sounds like Wing Enforcers to him.

"No thanks to that. Come on Parker. We'll fight our way out if we have to." Rook says, readying his club, expecting the police to remove a hand or something. Or a neck.

"No." Angela says suddenly. "You will hand your EGO Weapon to Agent Random who will escape. You will be arrested by the police, Rook."

Rook's professionalism takes a small blow here. "Ma'am...Why?"

"I wish to observe the process. Take me."

The Captain sighs and exchanges datapad for EGO weapon and Random quickly absconds after giving Rook an apologetic look, using the Miyamomo army as cover to escape.

"Just so long as they don't take my face I'll go wherever they want~" Parker singsongs.

Rook runs his hand down his face. "Yeah Parker I doubt...they're gonna confiscate your face."

AND SO THE DAY IS SAVED THANKS TO...

THE TOWNSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT?!?!
