Kuroto Dan      Everyone wants to see Kuroto Dan these days. That's to be expected, he is an extremely talented individual, after all. Unfortunately, as the CEO of an entire company, he's also extremely busy with his projects.

When it comes to the members of the Concord, however, booking an appointment to meet with him isn't that hard. Especially since Kuroto himself seemed somewhat eager to meet with Kukuru.

Inside the Genm Corporation building, it's surprisingly empty, with a lot of wasted space and seemingly few employees. That's not the focus of the visit however, and Kukuru finds herself directed by the receptionist to the elevator that leads all the way up to Kuroto's office.

Inside, it's somewhat dark, the only light coming in being from the large window behind the CEO's desk that overlooks the city. He himself is currently busy typing away at his computer, pausing to look at his visitor before continuing his work.

     "Welcome. Please, make yourself comfortable."

He takes one hand off his keyboard to motion towards a chair that sits across from his desk.

"Is there anything I can help you with?"
Kukuru It's always nice seeing family members at work. Sure, it might be a little awkward for them to have someone like Kukuru poking her nose around in things that she clearly has no experience or knowledge in, but that's why she usually makes sure not to show up unless they actually want or need her to!

In this case, she's actually managed to secure an appointment, and that means showing up in her officey-best: A suit jacket, a matching skirt, nearly opaque glasses to really make her look smart, and a clipboard with an empty memo pad stuck to it! There's no writing on it, of course, since she didn't think quite that far.

The receptionist and the few employees Kukuru does run into on the way to Kuroto's office are greeted pleasantly, of course, although she does have to resist the urge to leave them snacks and things. She's on the clock today, and she still remembers the last time she got too friendly with employees at a Concord member's company.

So many people died.

"He-llo, Dan~" She calls out cheerfully when she finally spots Kuroto, quickly clearing her throat as if trying to recall her lessons in decorum. "Erm. I mean. Hello, Mister Dan. Thank you for meeting with me today." She greets far more formally as she approaches his desk, curtseying lightly before taking the indicated seat.

She's already fidgeting a bit, like she really wants to fuss over him. Instead... "I'm here about... Business! Today. I was wondering if..." She takes a deep breath, as if trying to get the words right in her head before saying them for once. "... Do you have anything that needs testing? Any... Weapons or gear that could make someone more useful in the field? Something like what Yuuki had?"
Kuroto Dan      "You want to help with my work?"

Kuroto stops typing to lean back in his office chair, resting his elbow on one of the arms as he closes his eyes in thought. He technically has a few prototype gashats, but they're nothing he couldn't test himself. This request does however, make what he wanted to do easier. He's been much too busy to deal with all the gnats that have decided to annoy him, so he needs someone easy enough to lead into 'teaching them a lesson', as it were.

The CEO flashes a smirk for the briefest of seconds before opening his eyes again. His attention turns to one of the drawers of his desk as he bends down and begins rummaging through them.

"I do, actually, though, I've got a request of my own, one I've been much too busy to do on my own."

There's a bit of (feigned) sadness and regret in his voice as finally reappears from under his workstation to place a Bugvisor and gashat in front of Kukuru.

"I've got a bit of a... bootleg problem, as it were. A certain member of the Watch has been making illegal copies of my gashats and gamer drivers. Ignoring the obvious theft of my intellectual property, I'm much more concerned for the public's health if these forgeries were to enter the public..."

Once again, Dan leans back into his chair, this time steepling his fingers as he looks at Kukuru with a completely serious look on his face.

"I'm the only one who knows how to work with the Bugster virus, so the potential of an outbreak is possible if this technology is handled by an amateur. Now, I don't want the man dead, but... Well, if you could 'discipline' him, so to speak, I think it would deter him from doing anything he'd come to regret... It'd also be a good way to test my work."
Kukuru A smile. A good sign! Kukuru's seen smirks before, sure, but that's usually only from people plotting strange things, not from family members. Seeing it only briefly just makes sense, of course, since Kuroto probably has to keep up his appearances even in matters such as this. So professional!

That's all good setup, then, for when he actually seems to have something that she can help with. "Really? Oh, that's perfect!" Sounding immensely pleased with this turn of events, she listens closely as Kuroto explains the bootleg situation with the Watch.

"Oh no.... They're not even pretending to help people with this, are they?" Kukuru asks with obvious concern with some strong notes of disappointment in her voice. The matching look only grows stronger as he continues, causing her to bite her lip lightly in greater anxiety. "If it's something that can be dangerous without training, then... They really don't know what they're doing with these ga..."

Kukuru struggles a bit with the word. "Gash... Ats?" For once, she actually gets herself away from the pronunciation problem. "Those thingies. We're gonna have to get these back fast, then, before an outbreak happens, mhm. If it's just one of them making these, that'll be easier. And... I guess this needs to be handled quietly, right? So-"

She gestures around Kuroto's office. "-nobody outside gets scared. I get it... Yeah. Just lemme know where to find this person. I'll make sure to punish him plenty, and then convince him not to do this again." She suggests, still sounding somewhat sad about the whole matter. "And maybe... Maybe even find out where else he's been selling these, so I can get those back, too."

It takes a little bit longer for her to finally recall that last thing Kuroto mentions. "Oh. Uh. What would I be testing, anyway?"
Kuroto Dan      "I'm not sure what they're doing with these bootlegs honestly, which makes it all the more worrying. None of it can be good, however, and it's as you said, an outbreak would case a panic. As for what you'll be testing, well..."

Kuroto pauses as he finds what he wants to say. It really doesn't matter what she does with the gashat so long as she goes after Phreak, truth be told. Still, she's the the type who likes to be helpful, so it doesn't hurt to stretch the truth a bit.

"I'm looking for general data, most of it will be combat, given the nature of what these gashats are, but if you kind think of anything creative... Well, I'm sure the information I collect will be useful for something."

Kuroto gives another smile as he pushes the belt and gashat closer to Kukuru.
Kukuru "Maybe they're getting these together because they... They're preparing for something big." Kukuru surmises with an anxious noise coming out of the back of her throat. "IF that really is the case, we'll need to get it taken care of fast."

Needless to say, she's already super on board with Kuroto's plan. Being reminded of the testing, though, does get her to perk up once again, and it's really not hard at all to butter her up and sell her on being helpful for her mind rather than just for her fists or her healing.

"Combat data and general... Creative? Like... Suggestions?" Her eyes light up at that, and she takes the belt and gashat gingerly to inspect the devices more closely. "I won't let you down, Dan~" She chimes in cheerfully, giggling softly as she looks eager to help with his work.

It's pretty clear Kukuru has no idea which end goes where, though, as she inexplicably turns the belt backwards to stare at the part that would be facing inwards, and the gashat is being held by the little doohickey that sticks out rather than the designated handle.

At least she's not breaking them yet. "So! Um... How do these work, anyway?"
Kuroto Dan      "Ah, right." Having seemingly forgot something, Kuroto quickly reaches back into the drawer and pulls out a black belt buckle.

"You press this against your waist and it'll fasten itself to you. From there, simply latch the Bugvisor onto the hardpoint on the Bugster Buckle and insert the gashat into the opening with the game label facing towards you. The A and B buttons will access your weapons and finishers, and removing the gashat will eventually cancel your transformation."

Dan explains the ins and outs of using the device like the back of his hand, which only makes sense, given he's the inventor of it.

"Anyway. Whatever they're planning, they need to be stopped. As a fellow Concord member, I'll leave it to you."
Kukuru The tutorial is given all the attention it deserves and then some! Even if Kukuru isn't the fastest student, she's certainly an attentive one, and she even mimics the movements Dan shows her with the device she's given to try out. She doesn't actually use it in the office, of course, since she's not willing to cause any accidental collateral damage to the inside of the building, but she's certainly picking up on the basics!

"It goes on by itself, and I put the... Oh, this end goes into the Buckle, and then that button... Hmm. Okay, I shouldn't use them in the wrong order, then. And that comes out with..."

She's just not fully grasping the posing part. That'll come over time, probably.

"I'll make sure he learns good. He'll be punished, too, but.. I'm sure it'll help him out once he learns better after all this. Then everyone'll be happy and safe, thanks to the Concord and Genm Corp!"
