Ishirou There was a meeting that needed to happen.

It would be called by Angela, and would take place in a meeting room.  Belial would enter, human-sized for right now.  He's confident in his walk, something about him is more sure of himself than before when he questioned his actions.  Ru Li would know this, of his own insecurities in regard to the Land of Light.  It was, after all, his home.

For Angela, she had information to give.  What she got back on her in-depth scan of Belial was the following.

A) Belial and Reiblood are genetically combined at this point.  Ultra DNA is here, and it has an innate ability to physically change matter around itself.  They can produce energy, and matter, and even reverse the process to some degree.  Reiblood, on the opposite, is different.  He worked through genetics and can enhance and change someone on a fundamental level.  This is most effective on Kaiju but can be applied to anyone at least partially successfully.

B) This genetic change ability functions more like a virus, but right now Belial isn't in complete control of it.  There is likely a mental element to it... a desire to control someone completely.

C) Belial's power doesn't seem to come from those around him, but rather, a nearly limitless source of energy now radiates from his gem... and it's not a friendly power, but more on this later.

D) Belial naturally resonates with inhuman things now.  Kaiju, Monsters, things that hate sapient life, and an ever-growing desire to 'be stronger'.

The mental corruption of Belial, according to Angela's tests rests about at fifty to sixty percent with some margin of error.  After all, it isn't a one-to-one ratio to what her tests were designed for.  She can also figure out that if Belial WERE to use his mental corruption on others, he could make them act according to their vices or desires without restriction.

The good thing is that the corruption levels are stable, he isn't increasing in them, but he's not decreasing either... it's like this is the new average, but it's also resonating enough to point out that it isn't 'normal' for him... not yet anyway.
Angela Lobotomy Corp is pretty thorough with tests. Consent, as it has been said, was given. And as usual when you get bad news, you tend to be extra thorough...Though it isn't the maximum worst news, at least, and Angela can reassure herself with that.

Lobotomy Corp always smells a little bit of blood and disinfectant. Even if deaths are rarer now than before, it still happens, and wounds must be inflicted and received. Angela, whom Ru Li may be really seeing for the first time, is a pale blue haired humanlike android largely understood to be of artificial design through her too pale skin. She is not 'chibi' in reality, and her eyes are a touch more golden in person. The outfit is the same, however, though the labcoat seems to be an awkward tight fit.

Angela sits at the head of the table. Gebura, who is a boxbot, is also present nearby though being quiet fot the moment. Angela has not handed off the details of the analysis yet out of concern of being too blunt about it.

"Welcome Belial. Welcome Ru Li...to Lobotomy Corp."

Belial and Ru Li were escorted by Hod who is friendly and chirpy though she isn't sticking around long.
Ru Li Cheng      Lobotomy Corps is...an unsettling testament to chaos as a form of power. Ru Li already does not like it here, and it's writ plain on his face. He's mentioned a couple times his radial senses, so maybe that's part of it - seeing, hearing, feeling, and even tasting, the aftermath of abnormalities and those who wear their blessings around him is probably more than a little unpleasant.

Still, Ru Li is also a god, so even if his discomfort is clear, he's doing his best not to make mention of or draw attention to it. He's polite, well-mannered - he bows to Angela with one fist against his palm as is proper for deference in someone's home, and he sits when a chair is offered, and he thanks Hod for her escort.

"Thank you for assisting," Ru Li says, somewhat awkwardly, "I...know that you have a great deal of your own projects to attend to, but I feel that this is the only place Belial might be able to receive whatever he needs, and I am concerned for him - even though I trust his judgment, I can't help but be concerned for a friend going through changes, yes?"
Ishirou '...even though I trust his judgment...'

'...I can't help but be concerned for a friend...'

Those words fall on the Ultra a bit bittersweetly.  On the one hand, concern, and reaffirmation of their friendship... but the unsaid causes him to twitch just slightly.  He keeps his thoughts to himself, for now, because it would be uncharitable for him to lash out at Ru Li.  This is a concerning time for them all, right?

Belial himself nods at Angela, "I appreciate your aid in this matter, Ms. Angela.  However, I am a rather straightforward person, so I would rather not dance around the subject.."

"There is something off if we're talking here in private," he acknowledges Gebura, noticing the spirit inside of her... despite it being chained for now.  "Your company also warrants note."
Angela Imagine living here.

Angela says, "Of course, Belial, but I will not be crass on request so allow me some level of professional courtesy."

Gebura says, "Toldja." When Belial points out that her presence speaks volumes.

"She insisted." Angela says. "But feel free to ignore her. Her status as a Color does not mean that much to me." Angela holds her hands together, resting them on the table.

"Your union with the Reiblood is intricate. At this point in time we have evaluated your mental corruption to be around 50 to 60 percent. It is stable for now but your condition suggests that you can be pushed into further corruption with the appropriate--and uncontrollable--stimuli. In other words, for now you are 'fine' but you are a ticking time bomb. It is impossible in public to control the circumstances that may exacerbate and accelerate the mental corruption."

She looks to Ru Li and says, "We were as thorough as we can be without resorting to inhumane methods that I am ill inclined to incorporate at this time."

She nods a bit. "The changes are at a genetic level to the point that I do not believe it is possible with our technology to seperate them without killing him so I am ill inclined to incorporate this method. His power is primarily drawn from his gem and he seems to resonate with our more monstrous Abnormalities--And I believe this will function with Outsider monsters as well." She neglects to mention he can use his corruption to influence others right now. She is sharing enough off the bat.
Ru Li Cheng      Ru Li really does trust Belial. As far as he's concerned, this is nothing but a medical visit, concern for a friend's well-being. Angela's information affirms his concern, too - the frown that crosses his face is quite clearly a sign of that.

"Is there anything that can be done to fight the mental corruption besides willpower? Could the corruption be...I've no idea, split into a separate vessel, to lower Belial's burden?"
Ishirou "No," Belial immediately says to Ru Li.  "I can already tell what you think you are doing, but doing so would open you up to the corruption... and if it's this pronounced in me.." he lets that linger.  It would be near suicide of the self to even consider the idea.

Despite whatever small things that Belial is drawn to, whatever mental corruption he is suffering makes him pick up on... he refuses to deal untold harm to a person.  Especially one he had possessed for a while.

He turns to Angela, "I assume you have little in the way of answers as well, given the situation?" he says, considering his situation.  If he were a ticking time bomb... then what?
Ru Li Cheng      "I didn't necessarily mean me," Ru Li says, leaving out that that would've been his first thought because it's painfully obvious to everybody, "An inanimate vessel might serve, too. Something similar to your capsules."
Angela "As far as we could ascertain, this level of corruption is the new base average. If there is an option out there it would require abilities that we at L Corp do not have. I asked Binah and she would not answer me so there is not much else we can do."

Angela looks to Belial. "...The only solution I was able to imagine was placing you in stasis. If the corruption can be imbued into a safe vessel, I do not have access to something like that. I know Tamamo has been able to twist fate before but I am uncertain on the particulars."

She nods to Ru Li who also thought of an inanimate vessel. "Such a vessel would no doubt also have to be under tight control."
Ishirou Belial listens, it's hard to tell his facial expression right now, because... well Ultra's don't really emote, but it's easy to intuit how they are feeling almost innately.  He takes a moment to consider everything, both Ru Li's suggestion, and then what Angela suggested.

"Is... the reverse possible?" he asks Angela, "A way to make a copy of what I have, and then imbue a host with it?  Someone who would not be bound by the burden of neither myself nor Reiblood?" he asks.

Belial is thinking, he is thinking long and thoughtful.  "A copy of me without my or Reiblood's baggage.  Then it would be fine if I were put into suspension, correct?  Otherwise..." he thinks...

"We have Galactrion on the way."
Angela ''Someone who would not be bound by the burden of neither myself nor Reiblood?''

Angela can feel her, even now, deep down below, lingering in that Well and whispering truths to her that she doesn't want to hear. Even now she can't be sure which words are her own and which are hers.

But Angela won't lie about this.

"In my experience," She says. "They'll still be bound to you two in some capacity, but yes--a copy can be made without the corruption. This will not strictly help you, however. The copy may even deem you an enemy someday."

It is simultaneously fascinating and offputting that he can be like this, she thinks.

"...I am living proof that it is possible but it is as you say, they will be their own entity. I would think on the matter from your 'copy's' perspective first."
Ru Li Cheng      A copy.

Ru Li doesn't turn his head, but the sense that he's not looking at either Angela nor Belial is present despite that. As if he's withdrawn, or refocused, his senses, perhaps even inwards.

A copy. What does that mean? What does it mean, to copy oneself? What does it mean to make oneself less unique? Such a concept simply doesn't exist for the gods of Yinghua - purpose-forged all, designed and built. The idea of making another Ru Li, or a lesser Ru Li, or anything of the sort, is simply too odd for him to grasp.

Of course he understands children, but children...that's not a concept for him, either. And calling children a copy is so clinical. So...cold.

"...is that worth it to you, Belial?"
Ishirou 'I would think on the matter from your 'copy's' perspective first.'

Belial sighs, "Very well, but we may not be afforded the luxury of time.  I will at least allow a copy of my genetic sample to be kept by L-Corp, in case things become too dire before the end of this issue with my home.." he says, firmly, but also acceptingly of Angela's suggestion.

"I do not know everything that happened to you, and I know that they may not agree with me... or even seek to destroy me one day.  They might, in fact, be the solution to that future.  I also need you to understand I do not think on this lightly either..."

"If such a being could be into existence, they would carry a purified version of Reiblood.  It... very well could force the Ultra's to rethink their policy for the betterment of the galaxy... but it is an unfair burden to place on someone unknowing, isn't it..?"

Belial rumbles.  "No... if I were to do this, there can be no other motives... it must be because I wish for a son to not live with either the burden of the Ultras... nor that of Reiblood."

With that, he pauses when Ru Li speaks up.  "I don't know, to be honest with you.  ...My words have left you both uncomfortable, but Ultra's do not... reproduce in the same way those across the Galaxy do.  Ultra's are essentially genetic copies of each other, but time and distance tend to give them their unique properties over time."

"...But I want to think on this for now, alone." And with that, Belial is simply gone.
Angela ''I do not think on this lightly either''

Angela says, "I know. And I know there is not much time as far as you are concerned but you should give it due thought all the same. Perhaps even talk with your friend Ru Li about it, as he knows you better than I could hope to." She stands up in the chair. "My apologies that the news is not better." She says with the tone of one accustomed to saying something like that. "...I am not uncomfortable, but I do take the idea seriously. Risk analysis is part of my duties after all, and recognizing those who flew into careless well meaning acts without the time to really think about it. Is this careless? I do not know. Therefore give it some time."

She nods to Gebura who leaves without further incident, looking at Ru Li for a long moment before she trots on out.

"At least a few days." She says. "Thank you."
