Thranduil      Daytime in Mirkwood looks just like night time with the tight canopy of trees lets little light through. Cold rays of light do escape through the trees, landing on certain pointsand bathing it in light like a spotlight. A lone figure rides through the shafts of light on the back of a great Elk. The rider wears silver, and has almost white hair. It is unusual for someone of his status to ride alone, but he decided to break away from the norm and do a bit of investigating himself.
Quentyn Westwind     Hello creepy forest. Not that Quentyn didn't want to explore but, well, this is maybe one of those times he wished he had a tank to go on these exploration trips/adventures with. So the white mage has got his rifle out and in his hands as he prowls, just in case. When he catches sight of a distant figure, the student adventurer crouches and leans against his tree. Weapon stays lowered-- Quentyn's worried about monsters, other people not /as/ much-- but he edges on the side of caution anyway, trying to see if his little hiding spot might give him a better view of whoever it is.
Oberyn Levy     Oh, well this is nice! A wonderful leafy tree-filled forest! It's so hard to find places like this back home... maybe this whole Multiverse thing isn't so bad after all! Oberyn Levy is walking through the forest at a leisurely pace, looking furtively around and taking notes in an oddly large journal. Peer, scribble... turn, stare, scribble... what's even there to /write/?

Well, besides 'creepy'. Kinda creepy. Kinda /very/ creepy. Like, 'keep a Banish half-cast just in case' creepy... "... man... I shoulda waited to sign on with a party..." But hey, when directions and a general 'explore this place' quest turn up, who wants to wait?

For all the looking around he's doing, though... poor Oberyn isn't /seeing/ a whole lot. If he's not careful he's liable to walk right into the Elf rider's unlucky mount without noticing at all. Grade A adventuring material, right here.
Xau'ra Tayuun Xau'ra Tayuun has found himself in a rather dark forest. A forest at which he has no need to wear his goggles and it reminds him so greatly of how the Black Shroud once was before the Calamity. Great massive trees block the sun light. The smell of the old woods.

How the elements must dance and sing here. The dark furred male Miqo'te walks easily through the woods. Two swords at his hips and a bow, with quiver on his backside. His armor was that of dark brown leather pants and a tan leather vest over a loose white shirt. Such a contract to the dark gray fur of his and black hair with those white strands.

The black band over his eyes also cause his own gold eyes seem to glow against it, though be it true, like a feline, they do tend to glow ever so slightly when the light hits them just right. When he hears the hoofs hit the land, his ears move in that direction before he looks that way.

Carefully, Xau'ra crouches down and went his trained stealth as a hunter and thief, moves carefully to see what hooved creature it could be. His black feline tail only moving ever so slightly as he pushes peers through the brush at the Elf and its rider.

"..an elezen..?" He whispers to himself with some mild confusion.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has got her self a bit lost she'd taken a wrong turn after deliveirng something to an off client she's warmed ofcouse it be insanity not to and is wearing a nanovest under her clothing but that's about it for the moment she's making her way as best she can unaware of just what she might run into.
Thranduil      The regal figure draws his sword, quckly dispatching a spider that was trying to stealthily lower itself and attack the small party. It sputtersa and screeches, then falls silent. Thrandil spins his sword around and sheathes it into its ornate sheathe.

"Who dares enter the woodland realm?" Comes a booming but somewhat peasant voice. The figure watches the newcomers with an ice cold stare.
Xau'ra Tayuun The male Miqo'te stays hidden behind the brush in the trees, but he does watch as the elf king takes down a large spider with ease. While he questions those around, that he also spots. Xau'ra goes to climb up into the tree with ease, mostly just to stay out of sight, out of mind for now.

He rather watch how this unfolds then getting directly involved right now.

...unless a spider tries to eat him too.
Oberyn Levy     Whoa. Whoa, what. Okay, guy on a-- what the hell. Um, those things are supposed to be, like, deadly monsters aren't they? Okay, so badass or utterly insane guy, waving a sword around - oh, giant spiders. Gotta jot that down. And he wants to know who is in the forest. This forest. Uh-oh, forbidden forest or something? Well, this is trouble.

"... uh... I-I... I'm Oberyn... Oberyn Levy. A-a student from Alexander Academy. I'm... here to survey? We -- Dolet Corps -- we're still figuring out the... the whole 'Unification' thing. Making maps and... and stuff. I-is... is this... /your/ forest? I-I can l-leave..."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa pause and comes to a halt at the booming voice.

"I ... yes I took a wrong turn I'll be getting out of here it's clearly I'm trespassin and can only pleed ignotrance sir." She's not looking for a fight and she's much like Oberyn she's getting ready to bolt, she's a small fry and she knows it.
Quentyn Westwind     Spiders. From above. Just like last time. Always from above. Quentyn too checks above himself, but like Xua'ra, remains hidden. Or maybe not, but unless the Elvin king actually looks at Quentyn, he /thinks/ he's cleverly hidden.

...Until he overhears Oberyn, and see Kotone. Reluctantly he rises from his hiding place, and makes his way over to the two. As Quentyn's hands are full he can only greet Kotone with a quick smile and nod instead of his usual wave. The white mage hesitates a few seconds, looking between Oberyn and Thranduil. To Oberyn he says as gently as possible, "...Um... You need to be more careful if you're leaving the Academy without a party. He," Quentyn nods slightly to Thranduil, "could be dangerous, and, um... unless you're stronger than you look, you probably want to avoid Encounters too..." Quentyn does finish the criticisms with a quick, small smile to show he doesn't mean to be too harsh.

And, yes, he seems to think the sword-wielder might be dangerous... Quentyn stays back a healthy distance, only just close enough to converse. "Quentyn, Gigas, white mage, by the way..." he adds to Oberyn.
Thranduil      The sun has set behind the mountains, bathing the forest in pale starlight. The Silvan Elves love to come out this time of night and look up at the stars, even if they are not the same stars as before Middle Earth unified. The chatter of the Elves can be heard throught the sickly forest as they take some time to relax and bathe in the warmth of the starlight, drinking and generally having a good time.

They are always on their guard, however, and some of the guards sit on twisted roots drinking sweet berry wine and laughing. A figure in white that almost looks ethereal in comparison to the other Elves with almost white hair, dressed in silver robes. His stark blue eyes catch the dim light and look rather eerie. The crown upon his head that resembles twisted twigs and berries indicates that he is perhaps royalty among the others.

While all of this is going on, something lurks in the shadows, preparing itself to carry out an ambush.
