Ryu     Ryu is bed-ridden. He stares up at a television up in the corner that gives him the public news about the Union and the various worlds that ally with it. He can't really move off of the bed that he's been placed on thanks to a faintly glowing cast wrapped around one of his legs for the time being, and a neck brace that makes turning his head kind of an issue. Although all the blood and stuff has been cleaned off of him, he still bears plenty of damage from the fight with Madara. He was not built to take a hit like the ones Madara was dishing out, his body a roadmap of the pain inflicted on him in that battle.

He sighs depressively at the television and finds the remote, turning off the box with a click of hard claw against plastic button.

He's stable and can be visited by anyone so inclined to do so. They're just warned that he won't be much of a conversational partner-- he can't really speak in dragon form, relying on simple emotional cues to convey what he means to tell someone.
Rhapsody     Dragon form? Upset? Probably wishing he was anywhere but a hospital bed? Despite the many attempts people made to deflect Rhapsody from visiting Ryu, this was something she had to do. Ryan may not have been a fan of his draconic form but Rhapsody wanted to see it. And later, she'd probably repay the favor by allowing Ryan to see her own, but that was a story for another time. For now, the Izzet Guildmaster approaches the door to the other dragon's room, takes a deep breath, exhales slowly, and then taps the doorway a few times. It takes a moment, but Rhapsody would realize the inability of Ryan's neck and would wander closer, "Ryan?" she asks, just to be absolutley sure.
Ryu     Ryan turns, almost completely bodily, to look in Rhapsody's direction. For a moment, he realizes that he's still a dragon, and she's a dragon, and maybe he's just completely stupid about getting into fights at all if all the big name baddies are going to force his hand like this every time.

He makes a soft chuffing noise at her, confirming that he's awake and free for being... talked at. He can't really say that, but it sounded friendly enough. He's got this almost consistently disoriented look to his face. Whether that's from being a dragon or from the pain medication is unclear.

His tail lazily flops off the side of the bed on reflex, big enough to drape against the floor some. He sticks his purple(!?) tongue out, the cool sensation of the floor feeling nice against his lightly-scorched scales.
Rhapsody Thankfully, being a dragon, Rhapsody is pretty good at translating her kind's body language. "I just wanted to be sure, I .. hadn't seen you in this form yet," she muses as she comes around the bed, having a closer look. Of course, the fact that he has scales at all catches her for eyes, but she doesn't speak about it. She wasn't quite ready for that just yet. "I'm glad you're alright, for what it's worth, Ryan," she starts before settling her back against a wall of the room. A lot of thoughts are racing through her head. She could help him learn to talk in a different form, she could compliment the form, but ultimately she isn't sure -what- to say. What do you say to someone that doesn't like the form they were giv- .. mmn.. right.
Ryu     Ryu watches her, unsure what she would mean. Was she really so curious about this? He chalks it up to her being a dragon, too, the kinship evidently a strong point of familiarity... because dragons are rare? Clarity shows in his eyes for a rare moment when he thinks about that. The disgust and fear washes away momentarily, and that's when he hears that she's glad that he's alright. His mouth opens as if he wants to speak to her, maybe to brush it off, maybe to fumble over his words.

He realizes he can't easily reply. He turns away and turns to look at one of the walls. He starts to seem sullen, a faint discontented rumbling rolling from his throat.
Rhapsody     That's enough to get one of the thoughts in Rhapsody's head to spill out, "Give it time, Ryan. Shapeshifting isn't easy, and I can understand you may be upset you can't speak, but like anything, you just need to practice at it, okay? Thankfully I am probably understanding what you're implying more than you think.." Considering what she just said? It probably proves her point.

"On top of that? You took some licks, sure, but that's something that is going to happen. Think of it like not being able to talk in your new form. Learning to fight in it is a -whole- other thing that will take some time to adjust to..." she trails, wanting to say she'd help him with that too, but, well, again, this is not a dragon that is proud of her true form. "Maybe I can get my brother to help you out with that."%
Ryu     She seeks to comfort him. The idea makes him uncertain how to proceed. His awkward heart makes him feel a measure of uneasiness... he doesn't necessarily WANT to form a bond with her, and he sighs heavily halfway through her talking, his eyes closing. His tail curls up off the floor and drapes across his legs, coiling around his leg cast.

The subject of training in his dragon form gets a plain negative reaction. He growls deeply, like a grumbling complaint. He doesn't want to snap at Rhapsody -- she has done nothing wrong, by suggesting it -- but he can't abide the idea.
Rhapsody     "And why not?" Rhapsody jabs, "You're a part of the Union, Ryan. Fights are going to happen. If you're lucky, it won't be anyone like Madara again. However, if you're unlucky, it could be someone even stronger. What you are right now is a part of you, Ryan. I'm sorry if you don't like it, or don't want it, but this isn't going to change much as you may want it to. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to hold your own in this form. When you can hold yourself? You won't need to roll over and hide what you are. Did you ever stop to consider that there may be someone out there that actually thinks this form of yours is better than what they have?"

That's about as Rhapsody is going to get to saying she's a little jealous of his scales.
Ryu     Ryan winces as she admonishes him... because what she says is true. He opens his eyes, ashamed of himself for making someone angry at him. His half-lidded eyes seem saddened, for a moment. They widen in mild recognition of the tone of her words when she says something that implies something more. He turns his eyes and body to look at her properly, searching her face. His scaled brow furrows.

"Mmrr?" he manages to sound out, questioning that odd remark she made. He's not entirely sure where that even came from.
Rhapsody     Now it's Rhapsody's term to huff a little. She understood, of course, but she still didn't feel ready to go into it. Another breath, a sigh, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be yelling at you," she deflects, attempting to not answer the question. "It's just.. there wasn't any other dragons besides my siblings for a long time and now there's ..." she pauses, probably counting mentally. "Five or six more now, it was just really sudden.."
Ryu     Ryu stares at Rhapsody for a bit. He's as still as a statue, trying to measure how to proceed. She didn't address what he wanted to hear about, which is entirely okay. And she seems overwhelmed, too, though for different reasons than he is.

Another chuffing noise is made at her: 'It's okay,' he is trying to convey. If she looked closely, she'd be able to see that light smile, just like his human form. After that, he spent a moment to readjust himself on the bed so his scorched back didn't grow sore if the painkillers wore off for any period of time. He takes her deflection in stride, not wanting to push something she's not comfortable with.
Rhapsody     Which she appreciates. There were some in the Union that would push further, some that would just blatantly point out what she did, but this? This was a bit of a relief. With all the pressure from Ravnica, The Izzet, her Union allies? For once she was being herself and not getting called out on it. That, alone, was worth the visit. "Thanks.." she finally says, glancing back at the other dragon. ".. You don't look really comfortable. They DO have beds for our kind, Ryan. Did you need one?"
Ryu     If there's anything Ryan doesn't need, it's special treatment. He lets out a soft rumbling noise, and shrugs at her, not protesting the suggestion anyways. He turns on the bed and sits on the edge of it, after that, able to do as much-- he can't walk around, but he's been patched up enough that he can carefully rest however he wants.

He looks at her curiously, wondering if she has anything else to say. His tail tip twitches against the bedding, making a gentle 'thump thump' noise.
Rhapsody     "Well.... once you heal up feel free to get a hold of me, stop by Ravnica, do what you like, ok?" She's at a loss, clearly. The awkward moment in the center of their conversation derailed what she was gonna say. . . What WAS she even going to say? She can't remember now.
Ryu     There's silence from Ryu, aside from the breathy noise that his powerful lungs create.

He smiles at her. It's quite clearly a smile. It's accompanied by warmth in his eyes. Her awkwardness is familiar. He can't say anything in reply, so the best confirmation he can give is to just seem pleased at her words.
Rhapsody     Finally, Rhapsody gives a light smile back to Ryan, wandering up to give his shoulder a pat, lightly, in case of injury. "You're better than you give yourself credit for, Ryan, ok? Rest up. Visit when you can. I'll see you then," she muses before heading for the door, only to pause and turn back, "You're sure you don't need anything?"
Ryu     A touch enough to get Ryan to relax some. That she would care is nice... it tells him that the dragons of other worlds don't have to be evil, and that, perhaps, he doesn't have to be the thing he had expected to be when this happened. "Rrf," he confirms for her, raising one of his hands slowly to wave slowly. The IV arm remains down, because he doesn't want to accidentally yank it out.
Rhapsody     It earns him a bright smile from the Guildmaster, "Take care then. Don't be a stranger, alright?" A wave of her own, and then she'd be off. ... .She'd still stop by the nurses desk to suggest the dragon get a bed made for a dragon, though.
