Owner Pose
Taro     Once, long enough ago that there is no one left to legitimately lay claim to it but not so long ago that that it has become a worthless wreck, a starcraft crashed here. It might have been an emergency landing, one that the passengers were able to walk away from (or at least there have been no grisly discovery of bodies so far) but left the ship itself unable to ever fly again. Or perhaps it just fell off the back of a larger transport. Either way, this has become its final resting place, its aft side crumpled and bent from where it struck the ground first before the rest of it followed.
In the general shape of what's called a 'flying wing', the interior is a mess left by the landing and from the time and small critters that followed. Still, it probably was built by human-sized sentients of some kind, and probably was relatively comfortable to live in then if not exactly now.
Outside, night has fallen, and the moon is bright during the occasional times it's been glimpsed through the clouds. It's likely to rain in the next few hours, thankfully it's too warm here for snow, though a jacket and hat might be in order.
Rory White     A conical spacecraft the size of a housebeat's perched on its blunt and large end, the pointy part angled into the sky. It rests on a set of landing gear and has lowered a ramp. Even now a handful of not-quite-humanshape robots are carting hunks of debris into it.

There is no way this tiny spacecraft can haul in everything, but who knows what valuables its cargo CAN hold?

"Whoever left this here didn't bother returning!" A voice breaks the quiet. Rory's voice. She's out and about in the wreckage. Some tiny rotorcraft hover around her, shining bright lights every which way to keep things visible. "I suppose we should take anything we can use if nobody else is..."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is down on the ground taking a closer look s she looks it over.

"Computer cores would be the big thing to grab if they have information, look for small but valuable items, gear, art, tht sort of thing, rare materials we can strip and resale later for money. Or our own uses, I have salvage get but I suspect yours is going to make me look like a poor pauper."

There's a bit of amusment to her voice so she's not too insulted.

"Stil your world .. sounds a bit on the crazy side with where your technology has gone."
Taro     Depending on how sophisticated their systems are, and whether they're paying attention, there may be a ping of an incoming aircraft. Not a large one, something that might be considered a scout ship of some kind. It's mostly of note because it's not in whatever counts as a 'standard' flight path around the area, flying both lower and slower.
Aboard said craft, a certain Bishop Engineer is frowning faintly at his viewscreen. That there is activity below was unanticipated. While certainly this is unclaimed territory, that someone is here is also certainly bothersome to him.
Rory White     "The reactions I keep getting sure make me wonder about that!" rory answers while digging around for those mentioned computer systems. "Everyone has so many different opinions, it's a wonder anyone can track them all." She definitely has trouble. As alawys, her body langauge is poor. Rory's not even looking at Kotone in favor of sticking her face past what was once a paneled-off mess.

"And Perhaps for materials recycling! There's bound to be some rare enough heavy metals I'd best stock up on but the Odyssey's not a salvage ship! Hold on..."

She freezes while crouched, only to report, "Incoming aircraft, flying low. No IFF. High chance they're scavengers or criminals!" NOW she's gone quickly to worried. The drones don't change course though - they keep plodding the occasional lump of parts or useful metals into the shuttle.

As for how she knows there's a SOMEONE coming in? Radar.

That's what all the Saucer drones are for. And the ship. And the Mesh Personal Area Network...

Rory speaks aloud, but simultaneously broadcasts on some standard Multiverse hailing frequencies, "Distant Dream to incoming small unidentified aircraft at six hundred feet, bearing 140. Please state your intent!"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Well I'm aying in comparison to me and there's as many view points as there are self aware beings out there, right?"

She's also getting to work at this point.

"Given those fabbers you use, I could see why you'd want certain material right? If it's other Savengers it might be easier to cut a deal with them as there's too much here for us really."

Kotone stars to pull her self out of the uct she'd just crawled into, to check something.

"Lets hope this doesn't go bad."
Taro     There's no immediate answer to Rory's radio call. The small craft banks slightly to the right, and will pass overhead soon unless someone makes an issue of its present course.
The craft is also now on auto-pilot, though Taro does keep a connection to its onboard computer should he need to make a course correction. For now, though, it serves as a potential distraction to whoever is on the ground.
The darkness will likely cover the usual visual markings of his teleport to said ground, though of course other sensors may catch the transfer. He drops himself a hundred or so meters away behind the weathered ridge that was formed when the ship ran into the ground, and then drops into a crouch to make himself less visible. Let's see who beat him here, shall we?
Rory White     "Of course. There is plenty to go around and whatever information's on the computers is easily copied. If anything IS left!" Rory points out. "... but as you point out, they ay not agree to that kind of arrangement. Someone.. just... appeared out of nowhere nearby? I can't get a clear image at night. Maybe they weren't equipped to receive the message... or maybe they chose not to respond. I don't know. ....How worried should I be, Kotone?!" She's never dealt with anything like this before!

Taro is being watched. Several frisbee-sized devices are hovering overhead. They were slowly circling the wreck before in constantly adjusted patterns to map it out but now one of them is directly overhead him and the other is edging away.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Right I'm not about to get shot over scrap for the most part and hummm I'm not sure be ready I'm armed for a reason but lets not take the first shot if we can right?"

She's got a pistol sure but it's still in it's holster however it is no loonger sealed she rises up to see what she can do and would request a patch in from the drones to see what they are seeing herself.
Taro     No point in further attempts at stealth, then. Taro rises gracefully to his full if unimposing height, acting as if crouching was just simply one of the quirks of the teleportation process. If he's being scanned for such, he would be noted as being purely robotic, and yes, there are weapons on his belt. Along with a number of tools, and a set of prayer beads. A unusual combination by most standards.
He tilts his head upwards, eyes tracking the frisbee-like drone above him. "Good evening."
Rory White     "Scavenger, definitely. He knows we're watching him. Maybe he is friendly!" Rory's sounding more positive about this and gives Kotone a simultaneously excited and worried little glance. What if she's wrong?!

Either way she nods simply, then waits while clutching a piece of wreckage in her grasp until Taro greets the drone.

Rory triggers the thing to adjst flight, wobbling left and right in the air while also descending.

But then she gestures to Kotone. "Let's go out! If anything does go wrong, let's not damage the wreckage!" So she crawls out through sone of the broken hul sections and climbs up. In the night wind her strange labcoat-robes flap about gently. "Good evening... stranger. Rory White of the Argonauts and Syndicate Network. Shall we consider you a friend?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone nods to Rory and moves out to greet the new arrival and she heads out side she has to agree with rory's idea regarding the wreckage.

"Hello it seems we're not the only ones interested in the wreck. Look I'm not looking for a fight myself there's more than enough salvage to go around I'd say."
Taro     Taro keeps an eye on the descending disc-drone, then continues to keep half an eye on it when its presumed owner (owners?) emerge from inside the broken craft. For now, his hands are at his sides, and he makes no threatening moves. Aside from the ones he's already made, such as teleporting here at night without invitation or warning.
"No," is his answer to Rory's question. "I would hardly use that term for someone you have just met. However, I hold no particular malice toward you, and considering the truce, I have no interest in fighting. I am merely curious as to who beat me to this prize."
Rory White     "I'll prefer friend over foe." Rory counters gently, attempting a friendly smile. Her body scans... mixed. It's a synthetically-created shell over a robotic frame.. and none of it's truly alive, but it does futz up scanners a bit.

"The wreck seemed unbothered, so we moved in. I am not interested in very much! Kotone?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Says "We were looking to see what we could find of use to us to be honest if your not looking for a fight? That's enough for me to be honest." She snaps the flap on her holser closed as an act of good will.

"Pretty much what she said before as well. I was hoping to learn more by finding it's computer core and salvagint it in some fashion."
Taro     The smile goes unreturned. Still, Taro nods to both of them, and his tone remains civil. "Fortune does favor the brave, as well as the quick. Since you have already laid claim..." And since the prize is small enough that there is no point in pressing the issue, "...then I will wait until you have finished."
Rory White     "Don't be silly, sir. WThree hands getting parts out to sort is far more efficient!" Rory insists!

Only to then ask Kotone, "Do you know him?"
