Flint Hawke     There are many independant law enforcement agencies in Flint Hawke's Universe. The one that most often operates in the region Flint frequents is known as the East Sector Trading Company, a PMC and a freight company rolled into one handling organization.

Today, one of its smaller patrol ships had responded to a distress beacon. So people OUT IN SPACE can see this in the fact that the ship is pulled alongside a damaged-looking transport ship with an umbilical connecting them. Interestingly, it's not the damaged looking ship asking for help, but the frigate. The clear umbilical between the two ships is flashing with laser fire and trying to hold off hostile forces, while INSIDE THE SHIP, for those with a way to arrive on-board directly, the security forces are trying to scramble and prepare for hostile boarders on all fronts. Men are running around in full combat gear with rifles and armor.

Notably, for those who know Flint Hawke personally, his ship is not here. Nor is the Pirate Captain. Instead, a rookie marine is making his way through the halls with a rifle slung over his shoulder. The armor he wears creaks around him and his breath fogs up the tinted full-head helmet he wears as he tries to track down his squad to find the intruders.
Starbound Flotilla     "So this is yer little plant tribe."
"Only some. Floran thinksss good plural iss 'bouquet'."
"Har har har! I like it. For people who don't have blood they're sure in a bloody frenzy!"
"They want to get to Floran'ss good part quick."
"Well, they took our bait. Not like we're not on a timer!"
"Good. I think they'll ssstart eating Floranss soon if we don't."

That was the conversation held several minutes ago. What's happening now is entirely different, and a pair of Elites, alongside a small gang of lesser combatants, have rushed through the umbilical.

The first Elite is mostly humanoid, but bears many inhuman features. Their eyes are inverted, white pupils on black sclera, and their long green hair is made out of flowing leaves with an innocent-looking red flower where their bangs part. Much of their body is bare, and they wear furs strapped together into a cliche of a hunter's outfit that leaves them decent without covering much. Predatory jaws and claws make for a beastial appearance. This is merely one of the Florans, the leader of the small gang. In their hands, they hold a powerful, well-designed compound bow and many thick-shafted arrows, somehow crafted with chunks of ship hull alloys in their arrowheads.

The other one, the pirate, hasn't been seen quite yet. Where is she? Well, in any case, that gang of plant-people have been savagely tearing their way through the ship, hooting, hollering, and generally being a tribal nuisance while they attempt to kill and eat most of the crew, who may have connected with this craft because "plant people" usually evokes a much more peaceful image...

The Rookie is going to be able to catch the main Floran, who moves with more purpose and more direction, on their way along the ship, to its thrusters. They won't be noticing him, caught up in their own uncertain dash to the thrusters. Someone else, rather, is in charge of covering the Floran's back, but we won't see her until a moment from now. The main GANG have ventured more into the crew areas, attempting to kill, skin, and eat crewmembers with their machettes, and rather brutally ignoring gunshot wounds except when hit with overwhelming firepower. This may be the main element of that distress call.
Reina Kinney     o/~ Oh, think twice, 'cause it's another day for you and me in paradise... o/~

The Phil Collins tune is being sung along to by Reina as her craft cruises along through the stars. She's lying on her bed inside her quarters on the shuttle that she uses for patrol missions, looking a tad bit on the bored side right now. Apparently, she hasn't had much luck with missions for awhile, and this song really describes how she feels right now.

That is, until the alert goes out. Almost immediately, Reina shuts off the music and dashes to the cockpit of her shuttle, sitting down in the pilot's seat and checking over the information. When the coordinates appear, Reina says to herself, "Hey, that's not too far from here!" She immediately adjusts the facing of her shuttle then increases the thrust, heading towards the location quickly.

When she arrives, it's just as it seemed: Ship in distress because of an enemy. Reina shrugs to herself and steps out of the seat. "Looks like things are about to get personal." She steps into the teleporter after setting the coordinates carefully and teleports onto the ship. Once she gets there, she's shocked at what she sees, albeit only briefly after remembering this is the Multiverse after all. Snapping her fingers, a pair of energy projectile pistols form in her hands. "This is your only warning, cease what you are doing or I will be forced to attack!" The authoritive tone has a hint of sarcasm in it.
Rory White     A strange ship the size of a large houseboat's nearing the distress beacon. Its Syndicate IFF reads as the COGNIZANT ODYSSEY, and its construction is anything but terribly sci-fi. A thick, rod-like main body and four extending boom-arms that slowly circle to create artificial gravity give it a somewhat umbrella-like appearance. The 'underside' (such as this has any meaning for a spaceship) has a second ship atached. A small, conical vessel that's heavily heat-shielded. Clearly, an atmospheric lander.

And as soon as it's in decent range the Cognizant Odyssey unleashes a barrage of high-resolution scans with its brigade of penetrative sensor equipment at the quarreling ships...

The Odyssey fires retro-thrusters and does some quick course corrections to drift lazily near the conflict. It's not heavily armed, having only a few beam weapons and maybe some light railguns if anyone scans it.

What LYRIA MASON will have been finding pretty unnerving is that the ship itself's been talking to her. The one that's been giving her a ride has no apparent pilot. A handful of drones patrol the corridors performing routine maintenance checkups, but the only humanoid thing is Rory's Synthmorph... currently inactive in one of the body bank bays.

Lyria's been provided with a Vacsuit and a rocket-propelled apparatus with actual manual controls to close the kilometer or two between the odyssey and what's out there though...

"I've never seen a conflict like this one! Why they don't just detach the umbilical is beyond me!" Rory's voice declares over the Odyssey's PA as monitors near Lyria - who's probably by the airlock hopefully? - show the results of Rory's scans. Hopefully 'what's going on aboard.'
Starbound Flotilla     Reina winds up in a lower residential section of the crew areas! Spartan spacefuture furnishings adorn the area, and it's cramped as any ship's interior is expected to be, which is to say, rather a bit. The plant-people in this particular area seem just as much caught up with the soldiers as Reina, but two of them immediately lock onto her when she interrupts their attempts to bite a man's scalp off while he is alive.

"More prey triesss to sstop hunt!" One yells.
"Floran ssstab tiny sssarcasssm out of mouth!" For a Floran, hearing that tiny hint of sarcasm is a really impressive feat!

One of them has a broad machette, and the other has a huge javelin they've already thrown several times; the latter immediately tries to toss the javelin at Reina and spear her through the gut, or at least distract her while the machette Floran closes the distance and tries a swing at her neck, to hack her head off immediately.
Flint Hawke     "O-oi! Hands up!"

The Rookie Marine gets his chance at heroism! He lifts up the energy rifle he was carrying across his back and points it square at the Florian as it passes by him. He clicks off the safety and the gun starts up with a whirring noise. He fires a volley of shots that go WAY wide as the gun careens to the side from the inner workings of the machine having to violently let out hot blasts of gas to cool itself after the shots.

His rifle clatters to the ground and he starts fussing with his belt, trying to draw a pistol and run after her.

The Marines on the ship are trying their best to hold off the wave of Florans, using toppled crates and makeshift cover as they fill the halls with blaster fire and try to hold them back. But they're also suffering major losses to the seemingly endless forces, at least one or two of them going down to the swarm of plants and getting lost in the tide.

To answer Rory's question: A scan of the ship shows that the umbilical is operated from the bay between ships. And there are no signs of life around the umbilical, because it fell to the Florans almost immediately. The engines are also presently JAMMED due to interference.
Roxas     A swirl of darkness opens in the belly of the ESTC ship, and from it emerges a young man dressed all in black. Roxas steps into the cargo hold of the ship and looks around with a profoundly confused and silly-looking expression on his face. The roar of fighting elsewhere in the ship can be heard even from down here, but... this definitely isn't where the darkness should have spit them out! He turns back towards the portal and asks it, "Hey, what gives? This doesn't look familiar at ALL... we should be back on the desert world with the slug guy and the fancy cars."

Looks like he was on his way to Tatooine... or someplace similar.

Because he is a scrawny fifteen year old and apparently unarmed, Roxas is pretty non-threatening. But, he turned up here a pretty good bit away from the main fighting, so he's probably not an immediate interest yet. There's a lot of stuff going on, after all. Rifling around in his pocket, the young man pulls out a slightly oddly-shaped cell phone, which he pops open and hooks over his ear.

"Well... c'mon, I guess. We should probably see what all the noise is about." He says to the darkness, looking towards any easy entrances or exits into other parts of the ship.
Starbound Flotilla     The ridiculously high-powered scanners are able to detect that the structure of the transport shuttle this craft is connected to is... Dangerously unstable! It looks like power failures and missing components all along the thruster section have left this thing unable to repair its own hull, or maneuver much! Huh, rather like those last four ships. It also appears to have readings from no less than three seperate ships. Someone scrapped this together out of several different broken crafts. They're scavengers, no doubt, but there's an element of creative genius to the design regardless.

It's also empty, all the Florans ran out of it as soon as they could.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason had manged to get the captain of the Conizant Odyssey to give her a lift. A ship that goes in the void, the extraverse is certainly impressive. The ship talling is a bit shocking yes but she's spoken to no less than two spirits of warships from a planet called earth so she's not freaking out in stunnde sielnce she's suited up and is carrying some strange and alien weaponry, their power sources would be ??? to any of the scanners unless Rory had encounted magitech before, also with her was a large serpent like drone which seemed to be running on the same stuff she had had to fight the urge to try and study this alien technology that wasn't fueled by MP.

<<Copy that time to board and they might not have the means to we'll find out once we get on board."

Remora could form something to fight but it had no thrusters for space based combat, this was an upgrade it was in desperate need of in the extraverse. she'll have to do that lter for the moment she gets ready to deploy at this point.

<<Boarding action from the looks of it I suspect pirates and I'll stake my family's history as such.>>

With that she's set up her self and her mechanical companion to cross the void, there was only one way to go at this point as sh activates the deivice and is now in the process of boarding her self.

<<The entire crews' boarding from the looks of it.>>
Reina Kinney     Reina can only shake her head in disgust at these weird beings. But that disgust turns to adrenaline as her shield pops up just in time to deflect the javelin. At the same time, she's ducking down to avoid being decapitated by that machete. With a yell, Reina attempts to deliver a foot sweep type of attack to the machete wielder before attempting to roll away in hopes that she can give herself some distance between that attacker and herself. Then she fires a pair of shots at the other two.

"Think I'm sarcastic now? Wait until my adrenaline's flowing!" Reina comments as she fires.
Starbound Flotilla     The Rookie gets many shots off! The Floran doesn't stop running. "Floran handsss up." They say, putting both hands up somewhat -- bow still in hand -- and then continuing to run as the lasers go wide, boucing around it! When the damn plant-thing does eventually come to a stop, it seems to be more to try to figure out where to go next.

This will give the Rookie time enough to draw his pistol! As soon as the barrel is trained, with any accuracy, on the Floran, it will be matched with a sudden blade being moved into place at the Rookie's neck! A threat, from the side; a flanking Avian has interrupted, but meaningfully avoids any attack while the Rookie abstains from violence. She's a human-sized avian hominid, covered in red feathers, though a territory of white runs over her stomach and part of her face, and a set of very sharp yellow talons at her feet, with a practical boarding-party style of steel armor on her body, with a sort of mesoamerican aesthetic.

"Barker down, soldier. It's not us you gotta worry about, aye, it's them pretty flowers chopping everyone up in the crew section. You're gonna tell us where the main thruster engineering access is, anything we need to disengage all the couplings and get it loose, we'll take what we need, and then we go leave ya to your problems."

The Floran notices that the Rookie has his gun likely on them, the Avian has her sword pointed at him... They cautiously point the bow at the bird-woman. "Am sssupposssed to...?"
"No! Stop embarrassing us in front of the marks."
    "Oh. 'Kay."
Flint Hawke     "A-ah!" The rookie squeaks out in a timid voice as the Avian flanks him. He shuffles his footing a bit and seems to think for a long moment about what to do. Eventually, he decides that he's too new for this job to enjoy a heroic sacrifice and then slowly lowers his pistol.

With the blade against his neck, one of the less armored portions of his full-body armor, he slowly gulps and then nods his head, "R-right. Lead you to the thrusters. C-can do." He squeaks, "Gonna just... reach for my map."

He holds out his right hand and taps the back of his wrist. A holo-screen is displayed in front of him with his current position, and a few other spots noting pockets of marines or Florans. A yellow line would serve to lead towards engineer, "It-it'll uhm... fail if I d-di-... if you move that sword too much."
Starbound Flotilla     Roxas will find that this area has already been cleared out! There's a few bloodstains here and there, but it looks like there was a fantastical quantity of violence going on here, and then... Someone cleaned up! Or someones. Roxas likely won't be the sort of person who knows well what they're looking at, which is what happens when a force of enemies is immediately cannibalistic to both their own fallen dead and their enemy.

Looks like most of them headed back up, though! The audible talking, though, gets a roving Floran with a pair of large roughly-crafted axes sniffing down from up above. Covered in a bit of blood, the bulky plantman stomps their way down stairs, trying to sniff out who just spoke up in this dark cargo area.
Rory White     Rory doesn't deploy her Synth for this. But it's not like she's going to leave Lyria to handle everything on her lonesome. The airlock ejects a clunky-looking robot with a crappy encasement shielding its innards. It's inhuman as it gets, but thankfully is Humanoid. A majestic array of thin wings sprouts from a pack attached to its back and it has some kind of rifle-sized weapon with a heavy tank attached in its grasp. A handful of small probe-like robots have also launched free of the Odyssey at various places and head towards the transport ship where all the action's taking place. The nearest airlock that ISN'T being umbilical'd? Is about to get mechanically overriden through HOTWIRING if nothing else gets it to open and let them all in...
Xion     The portal that opens, opens against a bulkhead wall, depositing Roxas out into the belly of the ship. There's one small problem. Xion, being Xion, takes a bit longer than the protag-o-tastic youth to hop out of the portal, looping around the exit before leaping through.

Which means she's actually on the other side.

Of the wall. Thankfully, she's not sucking DELICIOUS HARD VACUUM. She's just in a different part of the ship!

Xion looks around. "Roxas? Hellloooooo?" She asks, looking around blankly. "Huh! He must have run off. Oh well! Time to explore!" She announces cheerily, summoning her Keyblade before slinging it over her shoulder, and continuing through the second dark cargo hold. Entirely seperated from her travelling companion. "Heartless!!! Come on out! Also, please explain why this isn't a desert! I'm very..." She pauses, thinking to herself. "... Actually I don't know what I am. Oh well! I'm here to experience the scenic hive of scum and villiany! Also, I hear there's Blue Milk! And since Blue Ice Cream is better than normal ice cream..." She cheerily announces to mostly-empty thin air, marching through the cargo bay with a childlike gusto.
Starbound Flotilla     Lyria can get to an available airlock without TOO much trouble. It'll be a bit fussy to get in, and it'll probably need both Rory's navigation and Rory's hacking, but it does work! Lyria, being the first one in, will get to see another pair of Florans on the inside... Who immediately see that the other side of the airlock chamber has opened! And immediately start a savage, tribal sort of shouting, slamming their weapons on the door.

One of them hits an emergeny door release button and the door opens, and the two LEAP BODILY at Lyria! One has a pair of knives, and the other is just PUNCHING WILDLY! "PREY! PREY! PREY!" They're chanting as they go screaming out the airlock and try to slam Lyria out with them! Of course, with proper forewarning from Rory it might be easily possible to dodge them and let them leap out into space on their own, or otherwise abuse the self-destructively precarious position here.
Noble Six     Responding to the distress signal is one more ship, a very rare sight in the UNSC fleet, the YSS-1000 Sabre. Noble Six, one of the test pilots for the program, has borrowed one from the UNSC Crimson Dawn and has taken it out to respond to the distress signal. Of course it's a two seater, so she can bring a passenger, if need be.

Glancing back at her passenger, Six motions for Alexis to begin the docking clamp procedure, "Hope you're up for a little space walk. This thing isn't exactly designed to dock."
Starbound Flotilla     The javelin-tosser is running in to close the distance on Reina too! The machette floran is swept off of their feet, clanging to the ground and scrambling as much as they can to leap back up, still yelling, and gripping that big chopping blade.

Both appear whipped enough enough of a frenzy that they're just not even talking anymore. Javelin Floran's Javelin broke, leaving them with a sort of pointy stick thing, which they immediately pick up in both hands and try to run Reina down with! The machette one goes in for a pinning tackle! Both suffer projectile wounds in their chest, creating a spray of amber blood-like sap and apparently not slowing them down! Best route seems to be headshots, or something to disable the limbs.
Rory White     As Rory was only just futzing with the airlock when the Florans began their hooting war dance to make sure it was closing properly behind her... she all but PANICS at the sight of freakish plant aliens waving knives and fists around! "Ah!! Lyria, brace for decompression!"

She forces the controls into a full override, opening the OUTER airlock door while the inner is already open. At the same time she orders Lyria's vacsuit and her own feet to magnetically anchor.

The hydraulics groan to life again and WHOOOOSH OPEN. Probably this comes with an AWFUL ALARM as the pressure difference results in a freakish hurricane-force wind. Chances are the Florans will NOT be able to deal with that!

Even if they get a few blows on Rory or Lyria, they're not gonna go anywhere. A few scratches, a few bruises or dents? Piddly threats compared to being SUCKED OUT INTO SPACE (whereupon they'll likely be easy pickings for everyone else out there.)

After which it's a simple matter to just close the airlock again. So maybe a bit of air was lost. Big deal? Nah.
Alexis Maaka     And in the co-pilot's side, Alexis probably had to sign a MOUNTAIN of forums and NDAs to make sure she didn't leak specs out to anybody from ONI, that said she's got no interest in that as a personal rule. Her suit's been rigged up with an EVA module for spacewalks, and when Six gives the motion, she nods and begins to seal up her STALKER armor.

"Copy that, Six. I'm ready when you are." She meanwhile begins to fish for the button needed to unseal their cargo just as the ship opens up for cyborg and SPARTAN-III.

Her jets hiss as she begins to float her way towards the cargo hold of the Sabre, grabbing two cases. One of which is kicked over towards Six, while Alexis herself opens her own up to grab her EM-GASH coilgun.
Lyria Mason With some help from Rory she's able to get in in and Remora is folloing along it's clearly not pleased about being in the void it's not like swimming however once they get in the airlock it attaches itself all right to the deck and Lyrai kicks in her mag locks she pauses for a moment as she looks at the humanoid plants. They are screaming a word they know well, she's going for her weapon when she halts she hears Rory over the radio and geta an idea of what the extraveral elite is about to do she looks aqt the florans and grins slightly riaing a hand and waves at them?

A moment later Rory does her thing and here's hoping it works she grips her weapon ready incase things don't go as planned.
Roxas     "Hey, aren't you coming?" Roxas glances back into the portal, sticking his head in it briefly. Xion isn't there. So she must have come out. Did they get separated, or...? He emerges back into the ship in time to hear some guys coming at him from above. Oh boy. Something tells him that most people aren't that friendly when they find strange people in the bowels of their vessel. There is a ringing noise from the cargo hold as he summons his Keyblade to hand, and advances in the direction of the noises that he'd heard... or rather, runs straight at them!

His goal is to run right through whoever is coming to investigate, and scrawny as he is, Roxas is pretty quick and hard to catch. Rather than starting a fight, he'll try to zip right out of the cargo hold and into the corridors of the ship. Only way he can leave to begin with is if he finds Xion, and she's got to be out there SOMEwhere... doesn't she? Come to think of it, he could just ask...

Over his headset, Roxas transmits, << Hey Xion, are you out there? I saw you weren't in the corridors anymore, but I don't see you anywhere in this cargo hold. >>

Since he's just moving towards the sound of the largest noises, Roxas is probably moving approximately towards where everybody else is. Assuming, of course, that the people investigating him don't hold him up too much.
Reina Kinney     Reina finds herself torn between the two, and gets tackled suddenly, twisting her body so she falls away from the one with the javelin. She attempts to point her gun point blank at the tackler and fire a shot, while the other one is hastily aimed at the alien with the javelin. "Get off me, you freaks!" Reina yells out, struggling to break free.
Starbound Flotilla     "You do that." The Avian says. "And then you get to walk away fine!" She winks in a charming way. "Name's Pavo. Got a good head on your shoulders, boy, I hope the flowers don't take it before your crew gets their acts together and exterminates the lot of 'em."

The Floran here doesn't seem too opposed to the extermination. "Sssmart prey is living prey. Besst survival. Make good hunt later. Dealsss now." They pause for a moment again, pointing the shaft of a nocked arrow back at Pavo. "Sssure is not..."
    "/Yes/."
    "Floran jusst checksss."

The pair fall in at either side of the Rookie, letting him lead them to the engine! They seem to be pretty agreeable about that. A passing Floran or two respects the Elite Floran's apparent right of Prey Dibs and doesn't interfere.
Starbound Flotilla     Xion was on the other side of the cargo area, it seems, and this is where some of the command staff passed through. What happened to them is not clear, but there's a lot of struggle that went on over here. plus scraps of much more elaborate military outfits!

Xion gets a firm look when she enters, from a Floran who is currently looting things not yet eaten. It has a fancy military cap on. "Floran hasss no food or milk for prey." It says. "Prey isss food. Floran hasss taken /captain hat/, givess ordersss now. Floran ordersss prey to be meat now." It gives a long, expectantly aggressive stare.
Starbound Flotilla     Docking here won't be too tough, as long as you don't mind a pair of Floran suddenly rushing by from some other part of the craft. They appear to be asphyxiating, but this isn't actually causing them any problems for the next three or so minutes. One slams headlong into the cockpit glass, wordlessly and silently beginning to punch it, perhaps ineffectually. The other slammed into the wing, and is currently weightlessly leaping off to try to go after Alexis Maaka.
Alexis Maaka     And suddenly plant people. Alexis blinks behind her helmet as she cocks her GASH, the coilgun shouldered as she takes aim at the Floran leaping at her. "Contact, I got him!" She transmits over short-wave to the SPARTAN, firing at the Floran in single-shots.
Starbound Flotilla     TEN SECONDS EARLIER...

Rory explosively decompresses the small section of the ship where the rambunctious Florans started trying to bust through the door. "PREY PREY PREY PREY" they continue chanting as they try to scratch and scrabble at Lyria before they're waved at on their way out into space!
Flint Hawke     "Ah, I'm F-Franklin," The marine stutters a bit, being led through the halls at Salad-point (Floran and all). He will probably not have vegetables for a WHILE after this in the mess hall. He gulps a bit and does seem agreeable to their terms, shuffling through the halls.

Any time they come into contact with Marines or members of the crew, the man ducks into cover and will let the two stronger people handle the grunt work. After all, he has to survive to continue leading them. He's pretty good at that job, too, "They j-just updated the maps. We'll be there soon."

It's not TOO much farther to the back of the ship.
Starbound Flotilla     "Floran see big key! Key prey! Floran will take key, unlock big prey death!" What a philosophical brute, that hulking savage with the twin axes sees and fixes their attention on Roxas. He dashes out of the rear cargo hold, towards the fore one! And so, too, does the hulk of a Floran with his axes, slamming them rapidly into the ground as he gives chase enthusiastically like some kind of horrifying drummer.
Xion     Something in Xion's pocket is being VERY LOUD. It's Xion's little comlink radio thing! But, much like C-3P0 while Luke Roxwalker is getting trash compacted, she has it stowed away! She will not be able to save you from the eyeball monster! Nor will shut down the compactors on the detention level!

Roxas' comlink returns the glorious sound of buttdialed phone-in-pocket, and the CRINKLECRINKLE SHUSHUSHUSHU of fabric. It is THE HELPFUL-EST.

Xion, keyblade in hand (and slung over shoulder, salutes the captain. "That makes sense! Prey is food! And you want meat!" She responds, to CAP'N FLORIAN. So she rummages in a pocket, and produces 3/4ths of a bag of BEEF JERKY (black pepper flavor). "So, captain plantman, I'm looking for blue milk, scum, villiany, and adventure! Also, heartless. Have you seen any heartless?" She asks, looking around at all of the scattered bits on the ground. Ooh! Costumes. But she can't change clothes, because her black coat is important! How... not-good!

"Hey, so, if you're the captain, is this your ship?" She wonders, not really having it made clear to her that the plant-person wants to eat her, and not her delicious jerky.
Noble Six     What in the blue hell? Noble Six spots the floran that is now pounding away at the canopy of her ship. She glares at the creature that's hitting her ship, and she reaches down to her side to grab the SMG that's mounted inside of the cockpit. Lifting the canopy up, she reaches out with one hand to try to grab the floran by the leg as the hatch lifts.

Being in a full seal suit, Noble Six won't have to worry about things like 'the vacuum of space', at least not unless something breaches her suit. She hops out of the ship with the Floran in tow. Spotting the big breach in the side of the hull, she uses the magnetic locks on her boots to be able to make her way towards it, bringing the alien with her, unless it insists on continuing to fight. She'll have no problem throwing it off into space if it doesn't want to be rescued.
Starbound Flotilla     The Javelin Floran takes several in the chest, while the Machette Floran, at such close range, can be easily picked off with a headshot while it's trying to get a blade down on her chest. The headshot gets it going limp, slumping dead and easily tossed aside, but not before Javelin Floran comes down! Another Floran managed to hear this all going down! One with a pair of daggers has rounded the corner! This looks to be like the last one or two in this area, though, the rest have been drawn off by other responders!
Roxas     "Aw, come on! Why do you even have a phone?!" Roxas cries in frustration at the lack of useful response from Xion. He whips around in reaction to the pursuit of the floran pursuing him and HURLS his Keyblade towards it. He doesn't actually stay still after that, though. He turns right back around and resumes running, sans Keyblade. Keyblades are convenient that way, he can just throw it away trivially and summon it back in a little while. Which is exactly what he plans to do, hoping it'll get the weirdo with the axes off his case long enough to lose sight of him.

Either way, he's making his way towards... well, really, he's not sure. More noises! Evidently it's the other cargo bay, which is where Xion is being adorably stupid at some of these plant guys. Roxas isn't moving fast enough to be there just yet, but he won't be long either. Again, provided that he doesn't get held up with cannibal plant jerks any more than he already has been.

Come to think of it, how could weirdo cannibals like that even figure out how to board a spaceship?

"XIIIION! Where are you?!" He calls into the ship, heedless of the fact that it's a mess and he'll probably draw more attention to himself. Maybe she's nearby.

Unfortunately his comm line is still open. Xion might hear him from multiple directions. Or, worse, strictly from the "wrong" direction.
Rory White     Rory remembers, in movies when people just escaped a life or death situation like that, the might sigh shakily. She doesn't do that though! Fidgeting isn't part of her psychology either. What she does do is exclaim, "...Completely... unacceptable... behavior!" Disgusted. She's utterly disgusted.

Chances are if she could see what was going on elsewhere here she'd be even LESS happy. As it is though... "Lead the way, Miss Mason! Hurry!"

Hurry WHERE, now that's not so sure, but Rory seems pretty plexed to. They have no idea what any others are doing. "...Hurry to wherever it's loudest?"

At the same time, she's using the Case's Wireless transceiver to try and connect to the ship's network, if it has one she can tap - or hack - into. Because access to any sort of internal surveillance system or diagnostics would be great.

Somehow this effort is not stopping her from walking along with Lyria either, or the handful of strange menacing-looking maintenance crawler drones that flew in with her from doing the same.
Starbound Flotilla     The Rory-spaced Floran assaulting Alexis Maaka takes two in the chest, and keeps going. Its pair of knives is swung wildly! It looks like it would be yelling, something about prey, but this is, after all, outer space. Speaking of which, the gunshots pound the Floran's chest, and their momentum makes it slam away! It can't actually maneuver back towards Maaka, so it THROWS its pair of knives, one after the other, trying to plunge one into their chest as it drifts helplessly off into space!
Reina Kinney     "I'll teach you to mess with me!" Reina yells as she pops up quickly and fires at the javelin wielder's head, her shields protecting her once again. Unfortunately, this give the dagger wielder enough time to sneak up on her and stab at her. Her shields don't pop up in time and she cries out as she stumbles forwards. She turns around to find who just stabbed her and she scowls deeply, ignoring the wound in her back.

"I hate backstabbers with a passion," Reina says. "And now you're gonna pay!" She fires her pistols several times, almost like she's making her point big time.
Alexis Maaka     "Okay, you're definitely getting annoying." Maaka growls, taking off towards the floran pirate with her rifle raised again. She uses her EVA boosters move her to the side from the Floran's thrown knives, firing her rifle to blow the plantman's head right off with a short burst. Sadly there isn't much else for Alexis to do besides look for a means to get into the bigger vessel itself.

    This may backfire on her.
Starbound Flotilla     "Floransss do not have heartss. Heartsss are for prey, for meat." Captain Floran says to Xion firmly. "Floran isss made of plant. Hass captain hat now, iss owning ship." Xion offers her bag of jerkey! The captain seems to consider it. "Good enough." The plantman's jaw splits wide -- VERY wide -- baring rows and rows of sharp teeth, and the plant attempts to eat the entire bag, as well as a small portion of Xion's arm. It could possibly be /extremely/ painful.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason is all right at this point she's a bit roughred up as the Floran pass but she leaves them to the mercy o the void for now as she presse her way in. She draws one of her pistols while leaving the other hand free for the moment she looks to Remora.

"Remora defence mode, target those plant things as hostile."

It gives off a mehcanical hiss as it updates it's warbook before she gets reayd to move out.

"That's about the best idea humm this ship, yes I should be able to do something with the hull."

What's she talking about, Rory will find out as with the tip off from here, she looks to move to the crew areas there's more killer plants to take out.
Starbound Flotilla     Florans are dealt with by the Elite Floran -- Biteblade, they call themselves after a while -- and told to leave off her prey. Meanwhile, grunts here are dealt with by a combo: Pavo rushes in close, using her one-handed sword skills in a swashbuckling, stabby style, and Biteblade covers, plunging arrows into their bodies constantly.

This should be pretty easy to deal with! And a good show of who, exactly, the two are, for the Rookie. They'll make good time to the back of the ship.
Xion     "Oh, you're a PLANT! That makes sense." Xion smiles broadly, and as the Florian's jaw splits horrifically. She doesn't actually react to that. She is entirely fearless. But, as the bag is attempted to be eaten, she just draws back, shaking her head. "No, no, that's not how you eat Jerky!" She replies, cracking the bag open before almost acrobatically dumping the contents into the Florian's yawning teeth-filled horrorcraw, discarding the bag to...

Clap her hands against the Florian's mouth-sides, from the outside. "So, you see, jerky is the best way to eat dry meat, becuase you can just eat it! So, you just sort of chew it, and get all that tasty meaty flavor without all the mess and fuss and stuff! Then, you know, you 'Experience the Beefy Flavor Sensation'!" She announces, before... ROXAS IS CALLING FOR HER! FROM... The wrong direction. Well, for Roxas. "Don't worry! I'll be right there!" She cries, before giving Cap'n Floran a big smile. "There. And that's the magic of Jerky! Make sure to chew it really good to unlock all the flavor!" She calls, before... Ninja-hopping over him and sort of nin-nin'ing her way across the cargo containers to the doors, landing in a crouch, and booting open the door. This fails, so she, you know, uses the door's button. While she waits for it to grind open, she remembers that she has a comlink! Hooray! Pulling it out of her pocket, she slides it over her ear, waiting for the Mandatory Area Transition Sequence works itself out. <<Hey, Roxas! I found a friend! He wore a funny hat. Where are you? I heard you, and I'm coming right over! Sorry about forgetting my comlink in my pocket, thought.>>
Starbound Flotilla     The canopy opens. The Floran has no intention of being rescued, but it does get grabbed easily. It attempts, with much vigor and gusto, to try to punch Noble Six repeatedly. There's a surprisingly great amount of strength behind that, but it'll drift off with its companion as soon as Noble Six realizes its violent intent. if there's any lateness there, it's going to start biting, in fact!
Flint Hawke     The meek Marine eventually leads Biteblade and Pavo down a corridor and to a large set of double-doors that slide open as people approach them. The engine crew has evacuated to try to find somewhere safe to lock themselves, leaving the room mostly deserted.

Around the room are three massive pillars which, when the proper devices are used, each open up to reveal a partially consumed dense stone about the size of a loaf of bread. Each hums and gives off massive amounts of energy, hanging inside of the ship and floating up and down in a suspension field once the engine power lines are open.

It's a pretty easy grab for the two boarders.
Starbound Flotilla     Roxas slings the key back. It clonks the hulking brute square on the forehead! Those things are actually pretty heavy, god damn! Whether or not this actually placated Roxas' pursuer is irrelevant, it got him off his tail for a moment. This will definitely not come back to relevance in any substantial way in the future, definitely no. Roxas likely comes upon Xion as she emerges from the cargo area to the fore of the ship, just as the door opens. There's some distant yelling from behind her. "Hey! Prey disssobey captain! Come back here! Be meat! Iss inssubordination!" The voice sounds like its mouth is really full for some reason! And also sort of getting closer!
Starbound Flotilla     The ship's internal systems give Rory a good view of the crew compartment. Looks like no more than a dozen, maybe two dozen Floran managed to cram into that ship, and several of them are already dead, either in encounters with the Elites, or with the soldiers. They had the element of surprise, but the navy is going to be able to get back on its feet and wipe them out... Assuming they live that long.

Water and ice don't work well against Florans, but the fodder that aren't engaging the Elites shouldn't be too resistant to this. A combination of pistols and drone fire ought to do the trick, but only if Lyria has the support from Rory to make sure she doesn't navigate into short-range combat, because that's where you get in trouble!
Noble Six     Well that settles that. Several strikes land on Noble Six and she hauls back and then lets go, sending the alien out into space. With that taken care of, she finishes making her way to where that hull breach is, and jumps down inside of it.

Even inside the ship she keeps the magnetic locks on her boots enabled, because there's still an open breach and the last thing she wants is to get sucked out into space. Once she gets to an area that hasn't been depressurized she will be able to disengage it.
Roxas     Unfortunately, Xion heard things wrong so Roxas shows up where she SHOULD be and doesn't quite catch her. Or at least, he doesn't catch her directly. Instead, he catches the plant person wearing the funny hat yelling at her about not letting it eat her. He summons his Keyblade with a distinctive metallic CHNK, striding forward confidently to tap the "Captain" on the shoulder with a gloved hand. It's talking so maybe it can be reasoned with more than the one that was chasing after him blindly with a bunch of weapons. The young man looks distinctly confused and aggravated.

"Hey, have you seen a girl around here? Black hair, around my height? Oh, and dressed like me, too." Roxas gestures at his outfit, which mostly consists of a spooky looking coat. He's like a tiny, modern ringwraith. This may or may not serve to distract the Floran from Xion, which really would be quite unfortunate for Roxas since it would just mean he has to deal with another cannibal psycho himself.

    Not that he realizes that.

<< Huh? Where ARE you? I thought I heard noises over this way... we can't be that far away from each other! >> Roxas responds to Xion. This may or may not serve the purpose of luring her even farther away from where he actually is. Probably not, though, because he's literally a few feet away and the Floran is just blocking their view of each other.
Starbound Flotilla     The many times that Reina manages to blow holes in the backstabber's chest suffice as a substitute for a headshot. As for the Javelin Floran, she manages to take it down in one, sending it crumpling to the ground as it swings the halves of its javelin.

At last, the close-range combat is dealt with. If Reina can make sure they don't get close again, she shouldn't have nearly this much trouble with the long-range, since she outpowers them so effectively there! There's a gang above that sounds like it's using more bows and arrows, though, and the gang below sounds like it's using more axes and machettes. Reina gets her choice of violence!
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason ias going to be relying on Rory for cover at this point she is a good fighter and knows her way about ships, but void ships? That's new to her in how they are laid out without Rory's help she's going to likely at some point blunder into trouble, she does now need to rely on Rory for directions int his mess she seems to be pretty good at taking directions she and Remora engagve the enemy the serpent like drone she brough tiwil he will attempt to get upon the plant people and is keaping to melele combat with the horrible plant things.
Rory White     With the sudden floor of extra information forcing Rory to reorganize her multi-tasking threads, the Case that's marching along with Lyria loses a great deal of dynamics with how it moves. It switches into a robotic walking style and changes postures. Rory's definitely not paying attention to it as much right now and relying on her Muse to keep it up close with Lyria. Only when Florans come near does she redirect attention to it and re-jam the thing!

In those brief moments, it braces and lowers the weird gun - which turns out to be...

A FOAM SPRAYER. Think silly string but SO much weirder. Great jets of cream-colored pressurized foam come flying from the nozzle. The stuff hardens as tough as cement in mere seconds on contact with oxygen!

It's as good as getting caught in a giant spider web, where the Florans are concerned. Oh the stuff's breathable, it's just UTTERLY INCAPACITATING.

Meanwhile, another of Rory's threads is scannin rapidly through the transport's surveillance. The two maintenance drones with ARC WELDERS kick into high gear and zoom ahead, being semi-navigated by Device AIs...

They're going to find some of the tribal Florans and ZAP THEM IN THE THE TUSH.

    A LOT.
Reina Kinney     After a brief moment of debating, Reina starts to head upstairs. "There's more of them where they came from, and there's more violence where mine came from too!" She grins to herself as she finds her way to the upper level. Once she gets there, she stops for a moment, and stares. "Looks like I'm a little underarmed here."

A few fingersnaps later, she's got her energy rifle in both hands. "Come on, I ain't scared of you guys!" She says as she fires several shots.
Starbound Flotilla     Alexis Maaka and Noble Six manage to get into the main craft. There's no hull breach, technically, since this was a trap, but there are a lot of airlocks that can be pried open. And as soon as they cycle through them, the pair face down a Floran with two axes in one hand, and an IMRACTICALLY LARGE KEY in the other!

"Floran unlock armor prey death!" The hulking brute of a plant-man calls out, swinging the key up to assault the pair right at the airlock, and then it disappears. "Floran was /lied to/." The six-feett-tall plant flies into a rage, restores the other axe, and goes into a dual-axe rage, trying to swing wildly and chop the Unonites to bits in the airlock chamber. This is a short-range situation, very dangerous!
Alexis Maaka     Alexis enters the ship after some manuevering, and she's greeted by the massive axe-toting Floran with a matter-of-fact, "Contact!" She raises her coilgun before blasting the plant in the chest a couple times, trying to evade the axes meanwhile. "Floran is going to have to get over it!" yells the cyborg, before she tries to drive the stock of her weapon into the Floran's head.
Rory White     Strangely enough a larger maintenance drone departs the Cognizant Odyssey and fires manuevering thrusters to go after the floating space'd Florans. This thing ALSO sprays hardening goo at the florans to bind up their arms and legs before dragging them towards an airlock.

An Airlock that will not respond to ANYTHING THEY DO, for sure. But at least there will be air.
Noble Six     Normally close quarters encounters would still be a bad situation, but Noble Six has thankfully recently come into possession of a weapon which will help in this particular kind of scenario. Her right hand moves down to her side to grab it as she uses her left to try to block an axe.

The blade in her hand unfolds outwards into a machete sized sword. She swings it upwards with all the force she can muster, the intent being to try to sever the Floran's arm that's trying to axe her a question.

    "Time for some tree trimming!"
Starbound Flotilla     The Floran seems confused all through the process, and is left behind by Xion! Hey! Come back! He's yelling at her for a while, through a mouthful of food that he can't actually stop chewing. Xion is going to find that heading UP instead of going to where Roxas went through is going to lead her through the lower crew compartments! This section of the ship has a half-dozen assorted Florans, wielding knives, machettes, axes, and other assorted melee weapons! Though they won't be tough to deal with long-range, if Xion has to deal with them in the close quarters, they'll try to tear her apart with surprising ferocity!
Starbound Flotilla     The Rookie gets a few backpats from Pavo after she negotiates aggressively on the radio. "Good work! Now get to a little more." She whips out her MATTER MANIPULATOR, a two-pronged orange tool, and Biteblade does the same, each going to one of the terminals. Both of them open it with the proper projected and simulated tools from the Matter Manipulators after putting their weapons away inside their storage, intending to extract these thruster cores! Two of them, for now, anyway. The third remains open, for now. Pavo seems quite content to have the Rookie fill in as an accomplice.
Starbound Flotilla     "Girl iss inssubordinate! Went that way! Human! I have /captain cap/. Thiss meansss I give orderss." The Captain Floran says, pointing towards where Xion went. "Go find prey girl. Make her into /meat/. Then Floran eatsss, and then you make you into meat too." He makes a dramatic motion with his hands, a military sort of display.

If Roxas expresses any opposition to this plan, Captain Floran will immediately attempt to bite him in the neck.
Flint Hawke     "W-well, if you're i-insisting that I help..." The Marine says, hanging back a bit and letting them go ahead and move forward to put away their weapons and take out their Matter Manipulators. Finally, he lifts up his hands to the helmet he's wearing, the map vanishing as he does so. He hooks his hands under his chin and there's a loud click and a hissing noise as the helmet disengages.

"I guess I'll have to just help myself," Comes a much smoother tone. As the helmet comes off his head, Flint Hawke's long blonde hair glows down and along his back. He stretches and rolls his neck, "Ah, hate the damn voice changers."

He flicks his wrists, a pair of heavy blasters appearing in them as he twirls them in one hand, "You lot sure made a right mess of my infiltration gig. I think it's only fair I get a third of the booty. Space Pirate's Code says each of us is allowed equal share." He notes, looking towards both of them.
Starbound Flotilla     Florans seem very indifferent to zapping. And to drones in general, it seems that whenever they have humanoid prey they ignore the drones. But the zaps are effective enhancement stun to other attackers. Lyria, meanwhile, also benefits from this, since none of the Floran ever try to attack her drone. 'Benefits', anyway, since they just attack her instead. She might run into Reina while she's up here on the upper crew section, where the bow-wielding Floran have spread out, making for an intense firefight/arrowfight!
Roxas     Roxas stares blankly at Captain Floran, completely baffled by the clearly deranged behavior it's engaging in. He nods along at first, and then gestures to one side with his free hand. A portal of swirling darkness appears, from which a number of strange and silvery beings emerge. They have the appearance of animate mercury, slithering and squirming about like serpents, and generally have a distinctly unnatural air to them. He points in the direction Xion went with his Keyblade and says, "This plant guy is nuts, get him!"

The Nobodies immediately leap towards Captain Floran, their silvery bodies twisting towards him with unnatural haste and movements. The smallest ones, the Dusks, try to twist around the Captain's ankles and arms, turning themselves into animate shackles and cuffs. They've got sharp little hands and teeth, too. The Dusks are the least of it, though...

The true dangers of the Samurai, of which there are two. The Samurai Nobodies are vaguely humanoid, though they look like caricatures of Samurai. Their blades come out rapidly, but they do not strike straight away. They raise them threateningly towards Captain Floran, appearing to give it the opportunity to surrender... if it wants to.

"Okay, just keep on like that. I'll see you guys later--" Roxas starts to leave, but pauses. He takes a moment to try to snag the CAPTAIN'S HAT from Captain Floran. Biting him on the neck's not much of an option with all these Nobodies interfering, but Captain Floran takes a pretty good bloody bite out of his arm during this.

It remains to be seen whether Roxas gets a hat out of it. He recoils either way, and retreats in the direction he ASSUMES Xion went in before he has more opportunities to get bitten.
Starbound Flotilla     Reina may run into Lyria and Rory! These Floran with their bows are pretty vicious, but they can't sustain fire like firearms can! It's going to be kind of brutal to clear out the upper decks, but it's possible, after a lengthy, exhausting gauntlet of arrows and bullets!
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason has noticed the Florans seem to ignore things like drones, , her drone is being left alone but she's also being attacked by the plant monster things and they are giving a pretty good showing all things considered. Seriously these things are focused on getting dinner and she's got no intention of being take out for some crazy alien plant thing. She may indeed spot Reina whom she does flag as friendly and will attmept to help her out.
Starbound Flotilla     The Floran berserker matches every strike with a strike of its own, but it can't sustain it! The stock of the weapon slams into its head and the machete takes one arm. It goes down swinging, with a spray of amber sap from one stump of an arm, crying out in pain and rage and trying to hack at Alexis Maaka's shins now with its one remaining arm while it tries to kick Noble Six square in the chest. But it should get finished off soon!

Oddly enough, it tries to BITE the arm Noble Six severed. And as it does, the severed arm-stump is going to show off the beginnings of some regeneration,
Alexis Maaka     Alexis's legs leap as she sees the Floran trying to chop at her legs. Her foot smashes down onto the remaining limb before she brings her rifle's muzzle to the pirate's head. She pulls the trigger, letting off a burst just to make sure it stays down.

"THis is turning into a clusterfuck, we gotta bail." She says, after hearing a LOT of discussion over the radio, something Six doesn't have the luxury of, unfortunately.
Xion     Xion turns around, frowning deeply. "H-hey! I'm not meat! I'm Xion! I /gave/ you meat. And you tried to eat /plastic/! That's not meat! That's not meat at all! Be thankful I..." She begins, turning around to rattle her keyblade at Captain Floran. And then... Black coat?

    "Roxas!" She calls, brightening significantly.

Then the door shuts in her face. "W-woah! What a rude door!" She groans, before jamming her finger on the DOOR OPEN panel. Beepbeepbeepbeep.

A tried and true method of getting things to happen faster. MASH THE BUTTON.

She is entirely ignorant of the happenings around her, even if there's a Floran trying to munch her.
Noble Six Wrenching the axe out of the severed arm, Noble Six opts to dual wield the melee weapons and unleash everything she has onto the Floran berserker, trying to just go to town on it with as many strikes as she can manage in the enclosed area.

"We just got here, why the hell are we backing down?" She asks, turning to peer at Maaka, "Don't forget who drove here. Give me a good reason why we're just going to abandon this op."
Rory White     NOW what?

Rory White isn't actually even on the ship where all of the horrible things are happening. She's safely running on the Cognizant Odyssey's computers, sending out a powerful bunch of signals to direct a half-dozen maintenance drones and maintain a priveleged connection to the assaulted vessel's systems. She lives in the Infosphere, surrounded by swirling streams of data. Her dozens of virtual fingers conduct a symphony of calculated signals and movements with the finesse a human might play a piano. Several wholly separate thought processes thread out to act in concert to check scanners, operate drones, speak on the radio... the last is playing overseer and coordination.

The Case that's keeping pace with Lyria regains some human expressiveness briefly, to speak and almost stumble. "Well, we've been outwitted, havent' we? Besides minimizing loss of life I don't know what else we can do!"
Starbound Flotilla     Rookie winds up revealing his identity! Damnation! As soon as the blaster is out, the core is into the two matter manipulators! And coming right out of them are a pair of weapons: Pavo's sword and Biteblade's bow! Pavo, of course, points it directly at Flint. "Ahhh, Kluex damn you! Knew I should've been more careful and gutted ya!"

Biteblade remains silent, but at the suggestion of another standoff, they sort of nudge their bow in the direction of pointing it at Pavo, still uncertain if these need to go circularly.

    "/I said no!/"
    "Okay!"

Then the Floran speaks up. "Floran needsss only one. Bird needss only one. Wanted to sssell more for bite cash. Or bury for rain day. Floran ssay you keep. Helped. Only if help fight angry radio people though, if that happensss. You take. We run to coordinatesss. Meet you?" The Floran seems more interested in allies than loot, while Pavo isn't putting down the sword quite yet.

Though she will, if there's an agreement, with much, much exasperation and distress and reluctance.
Starbound Flotilla     Let's be fair to Captain Floran here. They're entirely sane, if you compare them to the rest of their species. The Captain expresses as much. "Floran issn't crazy, ssstupid skin! Bite you!" Those cuffs and shackles can't stop a bite! And they CHOMP onto Roxas' arm, staying there as long as they can! That's how he'll get the hat, because if those Samurai Nobodies go after the Captain, they'll probably dismember his plant flesh pretty handily! Leaving... A head, still attached, intently, to Roxas!

This all, of course, happens just AFTER Xion's door shuts, so when it opens again, it'll be with a Mysterious Biting Body-Chunk now. It's pretty dead, though, so they can get out of here. Most of this area is clearing out, honestly!
Flint Hawke     "If it makes ya feel better, guttin' me wouldn't have worked," Flint says with a wide smile, twirling both pistols in his hands and grinning widely, "Just made a mess in the halls and then none of us woulda wound up here! Really it was cleanest that you let me live, this way we all win."

He makes a sort of shrugging gesture, looking at them both. Whereas Pavo seems regretful and Biteblade seems unsure of how this works, Flint has the gait of a man who does this 7 days a week, "I wish I had my crew here. You'd like em. I have this pink-haired one with an absolutely AMAZING..." Long pause, "Sword." She might hear him for all he knows.

"Oooh, but I do digress, that deal sounds fine. So we're all savvy, then? Weapons away, grab the loot. Don't forget the rules~. Fall behind and you're left behind." He notes, walking across the floor. One of his pistols is twirled and vanishes. He reaches out with a free hand and grabs the unstable energy source that is almost certainly not safe for the average person to just be holding.

He seems to be surviving, though, "So shall we?"
Roxas     As it happens, the Samurai DO attack when the Floran latches onto Roxas's arm, decapitating it unhesitantly. This doesn't actually seem to accomplish much, because the biting Captain Floran still seems perfectly capable of biting like this. He yelps in pain, waving his arm around to try and get the thing off... and he's just as freaked out that it can keep on going like this as anything else! He can't seem to get the Floran off though, so he calls over to Xion, "This place is too weird, we've gotta get out of here... and I need to find a doctor that will take this thing off of me!"

Roxas opens a portal into the corridors of darkness, waving the Nobodies -- and Xion -- through. He's not going to let her out of his sight before she goes through! Once everybody's left though, he'll follow after. With a Floran head determinedly attached to his arm, and a captain's hat along with it.

This has been way too weird.
Starbound Flotilla     Last limb goes down under Alexis, and the melee rush that Noble Six indulge seems to turn the Floran into salad.

The lower decks that they've arrived at seem to have a sparse squad of Floran still remaining -- a dozen or so, with knives and machettes and all sorts of melee weapons -- but they're scattered, a fair bit. It looks like the Florans are very effective shock troops, but not so good at sustaining an attack. If Maaka and Noble Six are willing to tolerate a somewhat exhausting campaign to hunt them down, they should be easier to clear out of this place.

    Unfortunately, by that time...
Starbound Flotilla     Reina, Lyria, and Rory manage to clear the upper crew area quite handily! It's a fair bit exhausting, but it's quite certain at the end of it, due to Rory's drones, that they've gotten them all.

Buuut, of course, by that time...
Xion     As the door opens, and Xion is bidden into the corridor to help Roxas find a doctor, a horribly bright look crosses Xion's face.

"Don't worry, Roxas! Let's just get home!" She announces, already pulling on blue latex gloves with soft 'snaps' on over her... Black leather gloves. "Just let me find a surgical mask and I'll Doctor at you! It should be fine!"

She'll Doctor at you, Roxas. Isn't that great?

Then, through the portal, and she's gone.
Starbound Flotilla     "You. I don't like /rivals/." Pavo says, narrowing her eyes at Flint. "Only takin' this deal 'cause my backup's not backing up and I need this."
    "But taking." Biteblade says.
"/Yes/." Pavo says through a gritted beak, flicking her sword away and sheathing it into her Matter Manipulator. "You got guts, even if yer fine with losin' 'em. We work together again, better have a better damn profit to it. Cut our losses is fine, but only once."

    "SAIL, beam me back."

"Talky computer, Floran wantsss to be light again."

Both of the horrible assailants dissapear, in a flash of red light! The coordinates are left for Flint, certainly he can get to them! Shortly before the others are finished with those remaining Floran all around the crew compartments, the Floran ship's restored thrusters will suddenly and rather immediately blast it quite some distance away, into the cover of nearby celestial terrain!
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason is more than happy to trade cargo for lives all things considered when it comes down to it really. If any of the floran crew flee she's not going to worry too hard but she's going to get checked back at the union HQ the last thing she wantst to do is accieenly track in Floran seeds back home, after all. Cirra was very much right. She didn't want to bring these things home or lead them home. She'f fear trhem meeting Marbours.
Flint Hawke     "You say Rivals, I say... business associates with moderate amounts of friction." Flint grins widely at the Avian, spinning the power core on his finger, "Still. I think we've all arrived at a very special place. Spiritually, ecumenically, grammatically."

It's with a wide smile and a saunter as he walks around the room, playing with his new power core. He sighs a bit, watching the two of them as they prepare to leave, "Cap'n Flint Hawke's the name~. I'm sure we'll meet again, lass." He looks to the Floran, "And you have a good day as well, fern." That's a proper gender nickname for a plant, right? Must be.

When they vanish, he sighs and looks at the core that is spinning on his finger, "Third's better than nothin. Time to leave."

    "Raphael. Unshift."

    And then he simply vanishes.
