Rhapsody         It's Ravnica! It's Nivix! It's BLOODY COLD OUTSIDE.

Seriously, a lot of magewrights have opted to stay a bit later inside the spire, or just stay overnight, rather than heading out at the end of their day. For the trio of dragons that live at the top of the spire, beating the cold was really easy. While Ryxinel was working the Dragonsforge, all that was required to warm up the Mizzet's Den was opening the doors to the forge. The amount of heat that pours out of there would warm up the area a lot faster than piping it up from the steam vents far, far below.

Tonight, Sidonia is... well it's not clear where she is, as per usual. Ryxinel? Forge. Rhapsody? Pouring over some information about any other newly unified worlds.. watching for certain keywords. . . . didn't seem to be anything interesting tonight. At least, not yet.
Ryu     Ryu loved the cold.

It was a strange thing, really. He always enjoyed the feeling that the world had grown still. Few soldiers wanted to fight when they could hide away from the snow with their families, so the peace and eerie calm that it brought was something he welcomed openly. So he had a genuine smile on his face when he stepped out of the elevator at the top of the spire. He walked through and felt the warmth of the forge before he could even see the doors, smelling the unique scent of a metallurgist's workshop.

Ryu loved being inside a warmth house during a cold winter evening even more.

He let out a heavy sigh, letting the simple enjoyment distract him from his troubles as he stepped into the office that he saw before. "Hey, Rhapsody," he greets, distractedly. He turned his head to regard the door to the forge... and, spontaneously, he turned to walk into the open doorway. He was far too curious about what the Dragonforge was, expecting something mythical, something that would tug at his imagination, like many of the things he's seen in Ravnica. He removed his white scarf as he walked in there, carefully rolling it up and tucking it into a pocket in his coat.

"I hope it's not rude to come in here," he worries, not wanting to cause any social blunder by entering a dragon's workshop.
Rhapsody     "Evening, Ryan! Nice to see you!" Rhapsody would respond, smirking lightly as the visitor made his sudden turn toward the Dragonsforge. Rather than introduce or even suggest anything, she simply allows Ryu to head inside. It wasn't everyday someone got to see that forge, so why not?

Inside, the forge lives up to its name. There is an absolutley massive furnace in the center of the room, an equally large worktable to one side, and what is probably a smelter to the other. The smelter, however, appears to be insanely complicated. It has a multitude of different chambers for different metals, all of which can be poured into a number of different channels, all before ending up in a centralizing crucible that hovers over a number of places in the ground meant for pouring out ingots.

One wall, colored a brilliant silver, likely Mizzium, is the Equation that Rhapsody poke of before. The math is -complicated- and takes up the entirety of the wall. Near the top, all it says is 'MIZZIUM EQUATION'. Near this wall, in a larger form than Rhapsody's current one, is Ryxinel. Very likely this is the dragon's actual form, and not a shapeshift. He seems to be, at least for now, quite focused on the Equation on the wall. (Ryx Pix: http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l45/Azurius/NivMizzet/RyxinelDragon.jpg )
Ryu     It's absolutely beyond Ryan's comprehension.

He's fine with that, marvelling at it like some sort of child at a museum, his mouth cracking a big grin and his eyes widening. He steps up to the furnace and stands at jusssst the right distance to feel the warmth heating his face properly. Then he walks around the room to stand near Ryxinel's side. He stares up at the equation, trying to make sense of it, too. He doesn't interrupt.

He closes one of his eyes, his tongue sticking out. A face he's making that is a subconscious attempt to understand it better if he looks at it differently. It's kind of goofy.

He then looks up at Ryxinel, blinking slowly at the fairly intimidating appearance of the much larger dragon.

"Is this what you do all day?" he wonders in a gentle tone of voice, trying not to jar him out of his thoughts too badly.
Rhapsody     It doesn't seem to jar the larger red at all. In fact, he's so used to his sisters interrupting his equation musings that it doesn't bother him that Ryan does it. "Mm. No. Not at all," he says without missing a beat. A single golden eye turns down to Ryu after a moment. "More often I'm putting this equation to work, making the alloy it calculates." How such an equation is converted into metallurgy is probably the biggest riddle of all. "Ryan, yes?" he asks, "I am Ryxinel, Rhapsody's brother. She speaks highly of you."
Ryu     Ryan takes note that he has golden eyes. He wagers it's pretty common among dragons or other mythical creatures, or really anything with traits that can be described as 'bestial.' He stares for a moment, not really sure how the equation could be used. The confusion's probably something he's seen before.

"She does?" he wonders, a rhetorical phrase because he seems to be embarrassed about it. He smiles uneasily at Ryxinel, and looks back to the equation. "I don't know if there's anything to speak highly of. I've mostly just gotten kicked around or gotten into fights that are too difficult for me." Or been a huge coward about being a dragon, there's that as well, but he doesn't mention that part.

"What /is/ Mizzium, anyways?" he wonders at Ryxinel, changing the subject just so he can avoid his own irrational embarrassment for a while.
Rhapsody     For a moment, Ryxinel considers a reply to the first part, but decides against it. Instead he answers the second question. "It is a highly complex metal alloy comprised of a number of different metals smelted in a -very- specific order, in specific amounts, requiring specific temperatures at different times of the creation process. However, it results in the most durable material known in Ravnica," he explains. Ponders, and then, "Similar to the metal known as 'Mithril' in some worlds.
Ryu     "Durable," Ryu repeats, thoughtfully. His arms cross, eyes focused on the equation. He's not reading it, mostly just peering at it cluelessly as he thinks. "So what's it used for, like... Legendary pieces of armor? Buildings? Machines? I knew this Woren guy who was into construction and he went on and on about the different kinds of steel and what they're used for..."

"I don't know what Mithril is for, either, it's too rare in my world to be used for anything but scientific study. Alchemy, that kinda stuff."
Rhapsody     The dragon turns to face Ryan a bit more directly, "It can vary. Due to its complex nature I do not often use a lot of it at a time, however, weapons and armor are some of its more common uses. The blade that Amalthea wields, known as Fate, was forged by my father. I crafted her a matching shield this year made of the same material. I hope it serves her as well as the blade," he explains. "Fang also asked me to repair a weapon of his, and I am going to attempt to use a small amount to do as he asked." Ryxinel's head tilts, glancing Ryan over, "Did you have a request?" he asks, rather plainly. He doesn't seem like he'd mind making something for Ryan.
Ryu     Ryan looks at Ryxinel with some wide-eyed surprise when he's asked if he has a request. He looks up at the equation again, and to Ryxinel once more. He opens his mouth, as if he's going to answer. "W-well... No. I wouldn't want to impose. But... It does make me curious." He reaches behind himself, and pulls the scabbard of Bonebreaker off his belt. He examines the weapon carefully.

"A shield," he says, looking up at Ryxinel. "I want to be able to protect myself and others more easily." He smiles curiously, wondering what the answer would be.
Rhapsody The red seems to consider this for a long moment, nodding after a while, "It will take some time, but I will see what I can do for you, then." Simple as that. Given the time, Ryan will very likely have a mizzium shield. ".. Is there a particular type of shield you prefer?" Yes. There are different types! CHOOSE.
Ryu     Since he uses a very heavy sword with much more ease these days, Ryan answers with some glee, "A large kite shield." He fixes the scabbard back to his belt. "Thank you very much! I'll think of some way to repay you, too." He looks very happy at the idea of receiving a defensive tool for fighting, despite being such a solemn or awkward creature otherwise.
Rhapsody Another nod is given after a moment, "A good choice. I'll see about getting that done when I can, Ryan. I have a decent store of ingots at this time, so, it should not take too long," Ryxinel muses. Also don't mind Rhapsody over there in the doorway, peeking in, smiling brightly, before sneaking back to her desk. Huzzah for more dragon bonding between dragons!
