Cassandra Dolet      It was time to go again. This time, however, had been a long-touted dungeon by Cassandra Dolet, one that had only been rated and announced a mere week and two days ago. It was after school one day when the group formed on the inside of the Alexander Academy campus, Cassie with her hands on her hips and peering around at who did show up (and who didn't, but let's be fair, the first is a little more important here - for now.)

After everyone groups up, it's off to the booked ship to get them out to the island. The stately 'Alianore' is off to the races again, this time cheerfully hoisting them out there. There are also a few more smaller boats for when they get to the area where the bigger ship will have to achor at so they can go in. Her personal bodyguards are on the ship, but they will not be coming with her - Fuu, for example, is sailing them in.

As they land on the beach, the view is shocking: the beach is made up of actual white sand that no footsteps have ever seemed to touch; the water here is a beautiful, crystal blue, able to see down in the depths and the people and creatures swimming in it for many, many depths. There are palm and coconut trees that form a large border around the beach area about a hundred feet in, and there are areas that look like paths.

More importantly... or rather, more interestingly, is the sight above and beyond the trees.

There is what seems to be a large glass and crystal building, nearly a palace, with many parts of it broken, and vines of all types and seaweed crawling across it. There are large mountains that surround the building, with cascading waterfalls, one of which has started destroying and going through the building itself.

There are also the clear and obviously dangerous noises of various creatures and animals in the leading jungle.

"Okay, so here's the deal. The grading team said this place was large, so I want the group split up into smaller groups. No one goes alone, nothing smaller than a trio, so I'm splitting us up into groups of fours and fives. So here's how it's going to go." The B-ranked student seems to have no problems taking the lead here, rattling off names.

"Okay, so group one is going to be me, Cirra, Landon, Dominic, aaaand Kyra. Group two is going to be Akurusu, Mirielle, Soan, Souji, and Lyria. Everyone has their radios set up, and they will work out here. If you get into trouble, do not be unafraid to call for help. There are two distinct paths that we can take in towards the building."

Cassie turns to point down more to the left, or the west of the beach, and the to the right, or the eastern part. "Group one follow me, group two head to the east path. I suggest picking a general leader for group two, more'n'likely Soan or something. Okay, I'm all done. Everyone, good luck, have fun!"

With that, Cassie turns and starts heading up. She's dressed a bit more normally today - a pair of skintight capris, a matching shirt, and around her waist she has belted a -- well, a belt. On her left side is a pair of pouches, on her right lies a scabbard from wich a very real rapier perches. Her long hair is bound up in a ponytail, and she wears *smart* dancing shoes that will survive the trip. It's a bit of a beating heat trip to the paths though. Thankfully it'll be cooler in the forest...
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason nods to Cassie as they split up into team two and well it makes sense to have a Levitani in both parties right? She looks over she's going with Akurusu, Mirielle, Soan, and Souji. This was going to be an interesting crawl she thinks. She nods to Cassie once more ashe moves to fall in with the rest of her group.

"Let's form up and get to it? Soan lets get your eyes up front for any traps that might be wiating for us."

She's pretty sure he's gong want to strip them for his own use and that's all right with her.
Souji Murasame Souji wasn't actually going to be here. As if he would need to adventure with the /Light Warriors/. But circumstances led to this situation coming up anyway. Souji stands with the group in his usual clothing. Rumors are that he has an entire closet full of identical suits and matching shoes.

He barely spoke a word as they traveled to the location, simply looking out to sea on the boat. Once they arrive, Souji scowls faintly, but turns to head towards the disgnated path. "I will play along with this farce for now, Dolet." Souji replies, heading forward and expecting the rest designated to move along to do so.
Dominic Masoch Dominic is here. He's also only half paying attention because he has an mPod in his belt and earplugs in. He's listening to music, bopping his head up and down in a slow gesture. Those standing near enough can tell he's listening to some classic rock, as the seminal hit by the band Aerorasmith: 'Janie's Got A Gunner', is faintly hearable through the buds in his ears.

This means that, for the most part, he doesn't have anything to say as teams are declares and divided up. Not that he'd object in the first place, he's on one he'd vaguely favor. So to whatever Cassandra says to him, he gives her a nod and a thumbs up. He's being pretty passive about the whole dungeon dive thing today. Or just delinquent in paying attention.

At least he brought his rapier, though, so that thing is pretty useful.
Landon al Cid      Landon has had a lot of...um...well, /stuff/ happen over the last couple days, particularly where two of his teammates are concerned. Complicated stuff. The stuff of youth and politics, of compromise and self-loathing and the troubles of nobility.

But he sets that aside, for now. For the moment he has but one goal: to spend a relaxing day in a dungeon with people he very much likes and appreciates. He's dressed in his heavy Judge's armor, complete with his rarely-seen helmet - the wide-horned helmet with a faceplate that hides everything but his eyes. His Judge Blade hangs from his hand as he walks with the rest of his group. His eyes are on Cassie and Cirra as he walks, though not terribly obviously - he casts glances at the girls every so often as he heads after her, Judge Blade in hand.

The nice thing about the Judge Armor is that it hides his expression.

He falls in step with Dominic after a moment and leans over to whisper something to him.
Akurusu Yami Akurusu Yami crosses his arms as he's given orders.

He looks at the structure in the distance.. Its always freaking crystals with the ancients. Leaves a sour taste in his mouth.

Aku starts walking towards the structure, whether or not his 'designated group' follows or not..

He draws Malfessor from his back, his fingers running along vibrating strings as he gazes at the structure with a dark, narrow-eyed expression.

"Form up? Only our school would try to suck the fun out of plumbing a necropian depth by making it all f***ing textbook."

He turns and looks at Soan and Souji..

He frowns, "I'd use some pigs if we had some for trapfinding... If you two mess up finding traps too many times, I might just locate some."
Kyra Hyral     "Huh." Kyra looks conflicted. She has no problems with her group, especially since Akurusu and Souji are in /that other group/. But Soan! Poor Soan! He must suffer with them! (Then again Soan's way more resilient to the presence of people like that than Kyra is.) Still, Soan's skillset was /fantastic/ for dungeons. "So we're going to split up."

She seems dubious about that-her thoughts on splitting the party have been made clear many times in the past. But if there are two paths to explore...

As usual, Kyra's come loaded with the full compliment of potions and mixtures that might be needed for exploring the depths of a new dungeon. The majority of these mixtures are, of course, explosives. She doesn't even bother zipping up her hoodie for this, displaying her gear quite proudly. Furthermore, rather than just the skirt, Kyra's got some leggings on underneath it instead of straight-up bare skin. They might be made of kevlar.
Mirielle Edelweiss     Unlike Dominic, who is half paying attention, Mirielle Edelweiss, 'Calculator'... Is not paying attention. At all. Well, okay, she is. She's following along with the other light warriors, her school outfit traded out for a robe with a ribbon tied around a single braid of her hair, and a long, crooked staff. Pretty standard white mage fare, really. Her robes, though, are tan and trimmed with black, with pockets and sachels festooned all over. A contrafaction of many robes, but very utilitarian. It even has the classic cowl, which she draws up, as she finally arrives with the others. "Ah. A dungeon."

She draws out a small clipboard with some forms on it. "Great. This will be perfect for my independent study PE credits."
Cirra Constantine     Cirra is glad she isn't in Aku's group at least at least, and she'd probably raise a stink if she wasn't in the same party as the person she was supposed to be gaurding.

The Dark Knight Judge starts moving ahead of the group she's in with Landon and the others. Her own Judge armor helmet covers her eyes with red crystal. The wide horns of the helmet resembling those of a behemoth.

She would rather not think about her troubles, or speak about them aparently since she's been even quieter then normal.
Souji Murasame Souji studies Akurusu with a stoic gaze. "I am not a Thief." Souji comments, oddly enough for the second time this week. He looks to Soan. "He is." He turns away and looks over to Mirielle. "With any luck this will go smoothly." Then back to Akurusu, "Sagittarius should be enough for now. We can keep your plan in reserve, however. In the meantime, I agree, let's continue."
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason looks over at Souji for a moment and gets the idea pretty esily that he's not very happy about this set up. Whatever her personal feelings about it? She wishes to try and make the best of things here. Who knows what they might find and she looks up to Akurusus for a moment aned peers.

"Oh so tht's how the demon music king wants it humm?"

She gets why Aku is in her group, if he and Kyra were in the same one things would get damn explosive. She gives Mirielle a grins.

"That's the spirit, Mirielle!"
Cassandra Dolet Cassie wouldn't dream of splitting groups. At all. Ever. Ever ever. Dominic, Cirra, and Landon always stay together. As such, she had to balance out the groups wisely. While being a little bit of a bitch, but mostly wisely. You have to do things the way they do things. Her group finds a single-file path that Cassie leads them down. It is still fairly well lit at the moment, but night is creeping down on them. It is also very thick in the jungle - Cassie pulls out her rapier to help cut down vines.

Group two, however, gets about fifty feet into the forest before there is a large chattering noise and then a hail of ... well, coconauts. Sitting up in the tree are red-eyed creatures, likely baboons or something of a similiar nature. They are not very happy with the group. Coconuts hit hard.

Meanwhile, on the ship, anyone left behind is sent off in a boat, guided by a young man in black clothes. Sei drops Ainsley off at the beach where she can hurry up to catch up with group two - Akurusu, Soan, Souji, Lyria, and Mirielle.
Ainsley     Ainsley was napping on the boat. It seems her constant adventuring takes its toll, and she just sat around while she was reading and the gentle motion of the boat carried her to dreamland. She didn't actually need the help of a boat to get her there, but she accepted anyways, not wanting to get excessive with her abilities. Once she stepped off the boat, she rushed off to meet the second group, which had a few students she knew, and a few she didn't know. When she arrived, she saw something of a very distressing sight.

"Oh no!" exclaimed the flying lizard sorceress, shortly before she burst from some dense foliage, and then sent an branch of non-lethal lightning into a group of baboon creatures! ZZZZAP!!

"CEASE AND DESIST, RUFFIANS!!" she shouts, the vibration in her voice a result of being groggy and disoriented. "Honestly!"
Akurusu Yami Akurusu Yami is clocked by a coconut.

His head jolts slightly from the strike, and his gaze shifts upwards to the mocking chittering creatures.

"...monkeys...we get f***ing monkeys..."

His fingers lock around the neck of Malfessor as he begins to strum, a dark energy floating around the instrument..

He stares at the baboons, eye gleaming with almost lumiscent hatred.

"You throw coconuts at me? Do you little sh**-flinging primates have the slightest f***ing idea of who the F*** YOU ARE MESSING WITH?!"

As Ainsley opens up with the lightning, "...I think you're gonna find out..."

He draws his hand up and brings it down, unleashing a powerful torrent of boiling licks...and solidified dark energy at the tree trunks.
Dominic Masoch Dominic isn't a total flake. As the Prince comes over to whisper to him, he takes an earbud out of his ear and lowers his music to almost non-existence, leaning to the side slightly to whisper back to the Prince. It's a pretty hushed conversation as the two walk together. Dominic will, for the duration of it, stick with Landon and kind of coast through the dungeon.

He has a pretty serious look on his face. At least one thing they're talking about does cause him to pause, though. He leans back from the conversation and kind of randomly plants his hand on top of Kyra's head, ruffling her slightly and then looking around, "We seem to be making good progress. We should be wary of hidden traps, however."

He still hangs around somewhat close to Landon, but it seems to be more of a 'I was here when we started walking single file' now. He draws his rapier out and gets it ready in case of an ambush.
Soan Sagittarius      Soan Sagittarius has been here for most of it. He's paired with Mirielle, Souji and Akurusu. The first one is fine, she's a Light Warrior, even if he don't really know much about her. Bit creepy, spacey. Has fair parts in a syndicate. Souji is Souji. Akurusu, however... Smells. Well, perhaps he actually /do/ smell smell, his kind of musician usually does, but he Smells. He smell Evil on him. Whenever it's the 'weapon' he's using or the man himself still remains to be seen, he don't particularly have the time to pursue the subtle differences about it.

"Traps are my speciality." He comments, quietly, as they moved along, keeping his eyes open. Leadership for him sounds about right, as much leadership is needed in an exploration of this level. "We--"

Soan deftly steps to the side, leaning his head to the left, narrowingly evading a coconut. He looks upward, lifting an eyebrow. "Looks like we've got natives. Ainsley joins up to them, learning fast by throwing lightning first then asking questions later. "Take it down. Be wary. It's probably not alone. This kind usually aren't." He states, simply, lifting up an arm upward toward the creature, sleeve falling loose down his wrist. A subtle set of spring noises comes out, rocketing a hand-helt crossbow out from which he fires an poisoned bolt at the three-eyed monster.
Kyra Hyral     In a single file formation, Kyra usually matches last or second to last. Dead last gives her a good view of the entire group, which is pretty essential for providing expert support. On the other hand, it does leave her back vulnerable. Despite this less than ideal arrangement, Kyra's tried to jockey for the last spot in the party.

She mostly keeps to herself for now, looking behind her every now and then to make sure that they don't get sneak attacked. Kyra does pause when Dominic leans over and musses her hair, slightly confused by this sudden gesture. She stops for a second, processing this, before scooting ahead to catch up again.
Souji Murasame The chattering noise immediately causes Souji to frown, and he reaches into his suit. Flung coconuts come fling at the group, only to halt with metal spanging noises as Souji's hands blur, throwing Gil coins through the air to intercept the coconuts.

As Ainsley arrives, Souji looks to the side. "Glad you could join us, Professor." Souji replies neutrally.

He turns his attention back to the enemy, and he frowns. "Stop wasting our time." He says to the baboons, and begins Gil Tossing at them as well.
Landon al Cid      As they part, Landon also casts a glance over at Mirielle. He doesn't say anything to her, but...well, there's a picture on his phone, somewhere. It's a sweet picture. It means a great deal to her, and to him...well, it's a bittersweet memory. Part of that is because it's a memory. Part of that...well. He looks away from her as the group splits up properly, still in mid-whispered conversation with Dominic.

The jungle is hard. The Judge Blade flits forward, the transparent, telekinetic crystallized law weapon slashing through the vines of its own accord as Landon and Dominic discuss whatever problems Landon's having the way only very good friends can when you have the nobility.

The horned helmet swings to the side to look at Dominic as Dominic ruffles Kyra, a look of confusion in Landon's eyes. His face remains hidden by the helmet. Then he turns back to the normal single file.

"I should drop back," he observes, "It would be easier to protect the group if I was in front of in back. And it's our role as heavies to do so, mine and Cirra's."
Mirielle Edelweiss     Mirielle is halfway into following Landon and Dominic, when... Oh. She's supposed to be in the OTHER group. There is a moment's pause as she weighs her options. Perhaps if she KILLED THAT HO-wait, no, no. No. Calm. This won't even matter to her soon. In fact, knowing how these sorts of things go...?

She probably wouldn't be remembering the first three quarters of this expedition. So, instead, she just notes down a few things in her notebook, as she wanders along. Her situational awareness, however, is pretty bad. Which is why she gets a coconut to the face, causing her glasses to clatter to the ground as with her notebook. And her pen!

Falling on her butt, she starts scrabbling around. "Oh no... My glasses!" She cries, before she lets out a thin snarl, and extends her staff.

It sure isn't white magic that comes out of it. A nova of pure shadowy darkness explodes in the air, aimed well above the party's heads but which should hit most of the annoying apes. She doesn't look happy at all. In fact, the way her hood shades her eyes she looks downright evil. Shady at best.

But that squint is due to her nearsightedness, not her desire to KILL ALL THINGS.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra looks back at Landon as he suggest he and Cirra be at opposite ends of the line. "I'd rather someone be with you."

"But if you /insist/." she says coolly and moves to the head of the line. She uses her own Judge Blade in hand rather then using it telekenetically to cut through foliage.
Landon al Cid      "That isn't what I meant," Landon starts as Cirra breaks away, "I meant that we're not doing any good here in the center, not that we shouldn't be together-"

     Dammit.

     Women are difficult.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason looks over to the group as they are no heading in thankfully she's got a fairly good screw but well F***ING monkeys and she now looks up at the as she's being assauling she pauses shigt her weight and brings her fet down sending a small blast of sand for some of them.

"Monkeys?! Really!?"

She doesn't seem too pleased about this as well however Soan is doing his thing and thankfully he's got osme back up ranged fire power as Ainsley joins their group.
Cassandra Dolet GROUP 2:

Generally, things go well for you. Well placed Gil Tosses here and there take out baboons, and the lightning and nova shots and everythg else scare off the rest of them, if not seriously harming them. Their path, as well, going onwards, is relatively clear - some vines here and there, but generally, they can see the building well before group one does - and they do.

Approaching the building, it is clearly visible. It ranges up many, many floors, the glass and crystal visible here. There is also the roaring sound of a nearby waterfall that beats down. There's also a door.

What do you do?

GROUP 1:

Cirra is looked at as the judge slides forward. "Right, then." She says. She's going to try to stay aside of Cirra as much as posisbly, being more dps than tank in comparison to the judges - as such, she's standing off to the side when she spots something.

"Hold up a second!" She calls out, making sure everyone stops. She then takes a step forward and pokes a vine with the tip of her rapier. There's a clicking noise, and then the ground disappears beneath everyone's feet. There's a sequence in many games and movies where the group ends up in a big waterslide. Think the goonies. Down everyone goes, unless someone has clever enough thinking. Otherwise...

Well, hey, group one *is* in the building now, if they go down the slide.
Ainsley     "Hello, Murasame," Ainsley replies cordially, as the brief encounter dies down. She gives a curtsey in the air at him, and then realizes she's still floating, and decides to come in for a landing. She helps Mirielle locate her glasses, giving a warm smile but saying nothing. It's trivial for the lizard scholar to locate something like a pair of glasses if nothing exciting is happening to distract her, but someone else might find them first anyways.

She doesn't return to flying at all during the rest of their little walk, even as they reach the building. She lets out a cheerful humming noise and pulls out a notebook, and begins doing sketches of interesting things she's spotted in the forest or details she's likes about the building.

"The door is the obvious choice," she suggests, but she doesn't go up to it herself. She's too busy with her scribbling.
Landon al Cid      Landon mumbles something and takes out his mPhone. He starts texting furiously.

And then he falls down the slide.

The heavy armor makes falling terrifying. He could easily break his neck, his leg...anything. Even with the physics of Galianda making that unlikely, it's usually true that heavy armor is dangerous to move in, and though Landon's practically lived in the Judge's armor for most of his life, he's not quite skilled enough to turn a landing into nothing. He's forced to stop his fall before the rest of the group with a Law Card - a crystalline barrier appearing in front of him, and him alone. He hits it, hard, and tumbles off the slide, landing near - but not on - the rest of the group.

He may have cracked a rib. Heavy, blunt impacts are not good for heavy armor. But he didn't crush his friends, so there's that!
Soan Sagittarius      Soan was not too worried about cocconut-tossing baboons, at least as a fight. Annoyed, yes, sure. Just not worried. However, the combined firepower here, including some surprising one from Mirielle, easily takes care of them. Without adding much, his crossbow springs back into his sleeve, leaning down to lend a hand at Mirielle to help her up. "They're next to you, next to your left leg." He says, smiling. "Didn't expect a Shadow Nova out of you, there, Mirielle." Once that's done, he looks around to give Ainsley a nod. "Good to see you've made it, Professor. You almost missed us."

As they approach, Soan keep his senses sharp, looking out for little traps of nature, not to mention giving a closer look to the door itself, as well what surrounds it. "Two paths here." He says, squinting at the ancient work. "The waterfall may have a way in that leads somewhere different, or an escape route of sort." He gives the Door a try, pushing his shoulder against it. He could ram it down pretty well, unfortunately, that would raise some suspicions toward his own abilities. He shakes his head. "Woah, that thing is /rusted shut/. I think we can move it." He says, nodding at Ainsley. "Gimme a hand, you all."
Akurusu Yami Akurusu Yami looks assessingly at his team mates, before looking at the door...

"You gotta man up.."

He again strums.

The music is flush, carrying a beat in active time. It boils the blood, and inspires a deep and abiding hatred of things which stand in one's way. Indeed, you cannot simply halt because of barriers.

You have to, as they say, crash through those m*****f***ers with a deep and hatefilled prejudice.

Aku makes it about three stanzas in and he's describing the bone ribbed aperatures of a demon king, that spews blood, where the knob is made of the shattered glass and dreams of a thousand cast down stained glass windows...

And despite it being very loud, and including some references which might have dire theological import, the end effect?

Everyone should probably be really damned inspired about getting doors open.
Dominic Masoch Dominic smiles to Kyra when she looks confused before he looks back to Landon and seems to have a bit more to say. But he doesn't really get that out, because the floor opens to a slide.

Dominic has almost the polar opposite problem of Landon: He wears almost no armor as a fencer. A light vest and some occasional leg pads at the most. This means that he hits the slide hard and has nothing to absorb impacts as he careens down it, unable to fully stop. And so the most he can do is try to spring at the bottom of the slide to avoid hitting the stack of however many ladies are currently in front of him at the bottom of it, aiming to shoot over the top of them. At least two, maybe three. This results in him coming up off the slide and then slamming across the floor in a tumbling heap.

"Ow."
Souji Murasame Souji turns away from the retreating baboons and looks to Mirielle. He reaches down to pick up her fallen glasses and hands them to her. "Miss Edelweiss." He says, pleasantly. Once she has recovered them, they move on towards the ruins. He looks to the door, and frowns, tilting his head. "Hmm."

Despite his apparent misgivings, Souji moves forward to assist with opening the door. As he listens to Yami's music, Souji starts pushing even harder, apparently almost ready to get violent. Maybe it's the inspiring METAL giving him a hand.
Cirra Constantine     "What is it-" *click* "-ya!" That was *almost* adorable if it weren't for the terriffying fall.

The party goes falling down the long slide. Cirra puts both hands out against the sides of the tunnel, metal gauntlets throwing up sparks as they grind against stone. The Judge tries to controll her fall, but other people start pilling up behind her and eventually she has to give way to to prevent herself from getting further injured.

At the end of the slide, Cirra lands in a roll across the ground and comes up to her feet, resummoning her Judge Blade. "Landon-"

Cirra moves over tot he Prince.
Kyra Hyral     "Yeah, but if I'm in the back, I get a good eye on everyone." Kyra offers, reluctant to relinquish her spot, ignorant of any issues Landon's currently having with OTHER MEMBERS of the party. It's a good thing she sticks to the back because it would absolutely suck to have Landon in his heavy armor fall on top of her. (Fortunately, Landon takes steps to prevent himself from falling on anyone.) Instead, she brings up the rear or top of the student pile at the bottom of the waterslide-lightly.

While she doesn't have heavy armor concerns, she also doesn't want the glass vials she carries to break prematurely so before they hit the bottom, Kyra casts float on herself and calmly drifts to the ground afterwards, her reagents and potions in one piece. "That was fun." she remarks cheerfully, the cheer fading a second later as she looks around at her friends in various states of disarray, "Uhh...is everyone alright?"
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason sees that she's along with everyone else are able to deal with the attacker and she doesn't think twice before she moves on toward the building she pauses looking over at the waterfall and humms she reaches out with her geomancy for a moment to see if she camn part the waterfall long enough to see if there's anything behind it.

"Let's see if I was making a place like this to hide something the obvious door would be a trap or missleading."

She notes look she may or may not be the daughter of the local Dread Pirate Roberts or a previous one after all. Also the music is fairly metal and is shockingly inspiring.
Landon al Cid      "I'm alright," Landon waves his hand, "I'm fine, I'm fine." He pulls himself to his feet, hand over his ribs, as his Judge Blade spawns behind him. "I'll be fine, Cirra, really. I'm not that hurt. Did you see where my phone fell?"

He winces behind his helmet. "Kyra can heal it, it's just a rib. Is everyone else alright?"
Dominic Masoch Dominic starts to push himself to his feet as people are landing at the bottom of the slide. He has some scrapes and abrasions due to falling down the slide, "I'm fine. I'm fine." He assures, shaking his head a bit and adjusting the beret atop his head.

He wipes a trickle of blood from a very minor scrape on his temple and then starts working at dusting himself off, "Well." He doesn't have much to say about that. His mPod is shattered on the floor, though, so he takes out his mPhone and makes a note on it: 'Have R&D Design Better Shock Absorption'.
Cassandra Dolet GROUP 1:

Cassie goes down just as hard as Dominic and Kyra go, being in basically no armor. She can be heard swearing something under her breath as they land, and she aims to come out feet first, managing to mostly landing on her feet and then continuing the gravity forward into a roll, crashing into the opposite wall. She sort of lays there for awhile. "I'm fine!" She says, preemptively before Kyra asks.

Once everyone is on their feet, there is only one obvious exit from the dank, lit by florescent fungi room - a set of stairs in the far corner from the waterslide entrance. However, there are a lot of chests and boxes in the room. Many of them are rotted away due to the water, but there are some that remain in good shape.

GROUP 2:

Akurusu rocks out. Souji and Soan start working on the door, and eventaully, with a scraping noise that can be heard down in the basement by Group 1, it opens, casting light into the room. This is a grand hall, with many tattered hangings around the room. Most are mildewed and water ruined, though. The walls here seem to be made of crystal and glass. There are several room openings up and down the hall, along with a giant, circular staircase that leads up into the upper levels of the building. The waterfall is now roaring - it did break into the building, but where?

(pose when you're able too if something is coming up, guys)
Akurusu Yami Akurusu Yami ceases rocking out as the door opens... He steps forward, past the other two as he stares into the room, "...maybe if they didn't make everything about of damned good luck crystals their houses wouldn't always be f***ing falling apart..."

He steps in. He doesn't care that he's wearing a heavy, bare chested armor...rocker...thing.

"...what the hell are we looking for again?"
Mirielle Edelweiss     Thankfully, Mirielle is reunited with her glasses - and then her pen. And her notebook! The help from various people - including Soan helping her up, gets her on her feet. "Don't worry. I'm fine. Did I, ah, singe any of you? I tried to keep the burst, ah, in the air. Ahem. Not everyone has to stop! If I don't do /something/ myself the PE credits will be all but wasted." She notes, but smiles at all her helpers. Even Souji. She bears him no ill will! But then, you know, there's a door. And a ROCKING OUT.

Holding out her staff, she contains a tiny spark of electricity, a sort of 'sustained lightning peal' that arcs within the crook of her walking apparatus and doubles as a source of flickering light. "Well. Shall we?"

Yami's question draws another curious look. "Ah, yes. What is our objective here? Beyond the pitiful amount of magical practice the apes will offer us?"
Cirra Constantine     You can almost see the frown behind Cirra's helmet as Landon insists that he's fine, and then wants his phone. She turns around and steps forwards in to the room a bit, crouching down to pick up the beaten phone. There she spies the rotting boxes, "Object." It's a common Dungeon crawl callout when someone sees something of unknown purpose, often treasure boxes. She steps backwards, holding the phone out to Landon. "THey look rotted, but some are still intact. THey might be trapped."
Souji Murasame Souji helps shoulder the door open, and he lets the Thief lead. This is standard, logical party formation handling. Souji does move in second, however, looking through the area. "I concur. Untreated crystal is a poor building material." Souji agrees with Yami, and he looks over the area. He approaches the hanging in the hall, trying to see if any are intact enough to give an idea of what they are, but it appears that none are. He looks back to the others, and then to the other rooms. "Let's explore this floor first before we change levels."

Mirielle brings up a good point. "We are the first people to assess the ruins. We are here to discover any archological items of use and determind if there are any unknown threats the assessment team could not detect with their tools."
Dominic Masoch Dominic finishes making a note on his phone about R&D and then turns it sideways. He starts to type out a quick text message, watching the others out of the corner of his eye. The phone is put away a moment later and he walks over to Cassandra while she's still on the ground, "Lady Dolet, allow me to help you to your feet." He notes in a formal tone, extending his hand towards her.

The chests and crates that Cirra points out are looked at suspiciously, "I wish we had Soan here to check them for traps," He remarks, squinting at them a bit.
Soan Sagittarius      Soan bursts through, rubbing off his shoulder as they step inside. He's got to admit, Akurusu' music is damned loud, but it sure got him pumped up to break down a f***ing door. Dude Stinks like a damn a******** and he really pumps people up with his music. He'll have to keep a close watch on this guy.

Ugh, great, his swearing is rubbing off him, now.

"What he said." Soan agrees. "Explore the area, find things of interests, hazards that's been missed, perhaps find secret rooms and antechambers." The Thief, without much prompting, takes the lead of the exploration efforts on the first floor, looking for traps from opening to opening, searching for trails for monsters, the usual thief things.
Kyra Hyral     "Heal what?" Kyra immediately looks at Landon because he spoke her name. Obviously she can't really tell what is hurt due to his heavy armor hiding everything but that he's admitting to something being wrong is good enough. Casually, she walks over to the Prince and puts a hand on his shoulder, preparing to cast Cure.

This does not happen. Everyone here can feel the sudden and unpleasant surge of magic particles around Kyra, the oppressive 'humidity' of her aura growing even moreso. The expression on the white mage's face turns to one of horror really quickly before she yanks her hand away from Landon.

But it's too late. The effect is mild at first but it quickly grows to become noticable. It starts as inaudiable whispers, turns to murmuring, then into chattering filled with some sort of dead or nonsense language. The effect itself seems to be originating from Landon himself-for now at least, and wherever he goes, the /noise/ follows. His rib certainly isn't healed.

"S..shit..!" she mutters, fumbling for a potion off of her belt.
Ainsley     "I really apologize for showing up late. There's no excuse for neglecting to participate in this when I came along on the boat," Ainsley says to Soan, evidently quite genuinely fretful that she'd create a bad impression of her by passing out like that. She smiles wearily, bad at hiding her fatigue from the students, but she's making a concentrated effort.

"I'm fine," she answers, simply, to Mirielle, since the question was asked.

Once the door is open, Ainsley steps inside, and stops to examine the decorations in the room that have shown signs of wear and tear due to a lack of proper treatment or maintenance. "Hmm!" she sounds out, thoughtfully.

"Thank you, Murasame~" the professor chimes in gratefully in that soft voice of hers, when he explains why they're all here. "I will keep my eyes extra open."

She seems to be mostly lingering around the group, carefully examining the details of areas and jotting them down as they go. She does check at the portals to other rooms, not really venturing away from the group too far.
Landon al Cid      Landon smiles at Cirra, the kind of smile you can just see through his eyes. "Thank you." He doesn't really need to clarify why he needed it. He just stows it back in his armor as Cirra mentions the object, his eyes gazing over towards the rotting boxes. Ordinarily, he'd take the lead, but this is Cassie's operation, and he's not about to get in the way there.

Kyra walks over, and he moves to thank her - and then there's just sme loud chanting echoing from around him. Landon mumbles something of thanks, then just...well, he just heals himself. What the hell, Dominic and Kyra and Cirra all already *knew*, and if he trusted Cassandra enough...well, she was liable to find out anyway, at the rate his father was urging.

Landon heals himself. There's a little white light around his hand, and he straightens and shrugs. The noise won't go away, but...whatever, small problem. "Thank you for trying, Lady Hyral."

He gives Dominic a Look. Dominic knows why. But it's not a very angry Look, and there's a heavy amount of amusement mixed in. "You aren't funny," he repeats aloud for everyone to hear, with absolutely no malice in his voice - quite the opposite, a fair amount of entertaining, "And I encourage you all not to give in to the delusions of Sir Masoch that he is."

"I'm the only one who was injured, yes?" Landon asks, "Then we ought to get moving, right? Cirra found something in the other room - we should check it out."
Cassandra Dolet GROUP 1:

Cassie takes the proffered hand, rolling to her feet, bowing afterwards slightly. "Thank you, Sir Masoch." She hears the word and flits over. "I'm not Soan, but I'm at least a little bit better at dodging than everyone else here, and I'm not blowing Kyra up, so..." She shrugs. She was all prepared to dance some cure magic Landons' way, and her blue eyes flicker over to Landon, slowly eyeballing him up and down thoughtfully at the magic reveal.

"Anyways, uh, we could go *try* to find Soan and the rest of the group, they should be in the building anyways by now, if no one wants to really risk it."

GROUP 2:

Soan does the trap search. He doesn't find any traps, but he does find a trap door, leading to a staircase leading down. There's the sense of water all around, for Lyria. The waterfall can also be found bursting through one of the side rooms to the left side of the building, forming a large pool in the broken crystal, and a secondary exit and entrance from the building. The rock behind it doesn't move, geomancy wise, but there is a chest in the water that is weirdly holding up.

There are also plenty of other chests and the like on the first floor for people to try to get into. However, for the more perceptive, like Ainsley, long glances are needed to examine the hangings in the hall, which depict hume-like figures moving large crystals around a building that could only be this sprawling mansion.
Landon al Cid      "If that's your call," Landon confirms with Cassie politely, "Then we should go find the rest of them."
Akurusu Yami Akurusu Yami looks around the room... He steps over, looking at the large pool, and frowns for a bit, looking around the chamber...looking at the chests...

"...great...all this water is going to make anything we do complicated..."
Kyra Hyral     Kyra knows very well that Landon takes special precaution to hide certain abilities. Which is why she's all ready to heal him up and everything! Except...Kyra's immense magical power does not seem to be cooperating at the moment at all, cursing her friend with noise instead.

She looks very apologetic at the very least. Horrified, even, that she's subjected -THE PRINCE- of all people to her unreliable magic.

Clearly a little depressed about this now, all she can manage is a small shrug to Cass's question, "I'm good with whatever."
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason has paused to find a chest in the water and that does get her attention she gets a grin on her face. She calls out.

"I found a chest I'm going to check it."

She's going to check what she's dound there could be anything and she is to her credit keeping alert for traps and will call Soan if she spots anything she doens't think she can handle. If the chest it clean she's going to open it...

"I'm a Geomancer it shouldn't be too much trouble Akurusu."
Cirra Constantine     "Then we should find them." Cirra agrees. "I think this dungeon has been mis-ranked. Normally external traps automatically bump the rating up another grade."
Soan Sagittarius      Soan knows the sight of treasure chests! It's a welcoming sight, a goal for many thieves to see! Still, he was... somewhat dissapointed in this trip so far. There has not been any crazy traps that he could salvage. Usually, theses omnious water temple ruins have the /best/ traps, he hears. Oh well, the run is still pretty young.

The Thief methodically disarms and opens all chests he comes accross, taking subtle pictures with his secret cameras "It's going to be." He agrees, looking over at the central chest, letting the levitani going to swim to get a grab at it. Sure, she can swim, no problem, it's her's.
Souji Murasame Souji looks over to Ainsley with a faint squint, as if trying to distinguish whether Ainsley is mocking him or not. After a moment, it seems he has come to the conclusion that her response is genuine, and he turns his attention to the surrounding area. Souji, lacking the ability to disarm traps, watches for any possible incoming monsters. Everyone sticks to their specialty. "Be on your guard. Remember, this area is still mostly unknown."
Ainsley     "You know," Ainsley says aloud, oblivious to Souji's squinting, "I used to be able to manipulate water and fire with magic." She seems to be mildly taken aback by this realization. She shrugs at this, and returns to searching. A particular chest catches her attention, so she approaches it, kneels down and checks it with the Visual Field in case there's anything in it that might get set off if she tried to open it. She does this before Soan begins working on the rest of them like a champion, and she takes /far/ longer to become confident in opening it than he would be.

She's already got some of the art from the hanging cloth written down in her notebook.
Dominic Masoch Cassandra's hand is gripped tightly and she is helped to her feet. He bows in return and says, "My pleasure, Lady Dolet. Think nothing of it, I assure you." He smiles a bit and then steps back, sheathing his rapier for the moment and then twirling his phone on one finger after he's helped her back up.

"I will have you know that many people find me humorous, your highness. I may sell off my mighty empire and steal the job of your court gesture on a matter of pride," He throws his phone up and then catches it, sliding it back into his pocket. His tone is as amused as Landon's on the whole matter and then he takes a deep breath.

Dominic can spot the depressed Kyra and he gives her a pat on the back, "Hey, mistakes happen. We should press on. I'm fine with trying to regroup." He looks towards Cirra, "She is right, though. I wouldn't expect a trap like that from a C-Ranked."
Cassandra Dolet GROUP 1:

Cassie nods. "I'm fine with that." She promptly heads up the stairs, frowning at the trapdoor that it leads too. "Welp." She promptly shoves herself against it. It, like the other door, is rusted shut. "Okay, nope, I've got this."

Oh god, what is she plann--

GROUP 2:

Lyria dives into the water. She gets to the chest, which is on a small rock that is keeping the seam out of the water by mere inches. It is not locked, nor trapped. If she reaches into it, she pulls out a small, crystal clear dodecahedron crystal, perfectly smoothed out with no markings or anything else. It is worth a pretty mint.

Soan goes for the other chest. This one is locked, but not trapped. It being Soan, he has no issues with the lock at all, and pops it open. This box contains another crystal, a perfect triangle, with a small indent on the left side, perfectly worn.

GROUPS 1 & 2:

When everyone starts moving in on the trap door, there is a distantly heard 'Iyaaan!' by group 2, and then the trapdoor blows open as Cassie utilizes a bit of her more destructive magic to knock it open rather than having to shuffle people up and down the stairs.
Cassandra Dolet      AINSLEY:

Ainsley examines the final treasure chest, one that is using seaweed as a pretty little cover. It is not locked, and if she attempts to open it, she finds a percet little square crystal, much like the ones Lyria and Soan have found.
Kyra Hyral     "Yes, but..." Kyra confides to Dominic, "I just wish those mistakes wouldn't hurt my friends in the process, you know? It'd be nice if that only happened /at/ enemies." She seems...still kind of glum though Landon did bring up a very good point. It could have been worse.

Cass blows the trap door open with the power of explosive hip-bumps. Kyra pouts a little. "I could have exploded the door too.." she mutters.
Mirielle Edelweiss     Mirielle looks around. "Ah. If this is a dungeon with external traps, we should send someone back to warn the school and potentially send for help." She offers, pragmatically, before frowning deeply, before beginning to... Take notes. Lots of notes. In fact, she isn't really participating! She's... Taking notes. Sketching, actually, going full Nathan Drake's Journal on the place. "Hmm. We should consider finding a way to reconnoiter with the other group if this is B-Rank. Having Miss Constantine's experience in such an area would potentially be invaluable. Though the monsters outside seemed D-rank at best. How terribly curious..." She offers, finishing off her sketchings of the vaulted cieling.

Yep. Other people open treasure chests. She nerdily draws vaulted ruin cielings.

    "Has anyone found anything?"
Souji Murasame Souji looks to Ainsley once more. "You used to? So you were able to alter your abilities?" He asks with curiosity. He continues to watch for nastiness as they head for the trap door. He tilts his head for a moment as he hears a noise, and he comments. "Stay back from the door."

The door explodes a moment later. "I wonder why this area was graded so highly." He asides to the team. "This has been positively prosaic so far."

Souji, by now, has his arms folded, nodding to Mirielle. "Something seems to be odd. I wonder if the survey team had made a mistake."
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason lets out a low whistle as she successfully opens the chest and looks at the crystal this has been a good run so far she thinks She moves to carefully pocket her find and will make sure to rejoin htre party after all. She hears the call of Iyann and raises an eyebrow and she starts wondering about the gem but she doesn't voice it just yet.

"I'm not sure did something clean it out between the team finding it and our arrival?"
Ainsley     "Oh, no," Ainsley tells Souji, starting to go on like a certain energetic bunny, "It was like my abilities properly asserted themselves for the first time, and the extra junk sloughed off of me during a stressful experience that was too complex to explain without a good cup of tea. I suppose you'd describe me as a 'late bloomer,' here in Galianda. It took some significant external influ-- and I am talking your ear off, I apologize." She stops talking when she locates the crystal, and picks it up, turning it over in her hands and looking quizzical at it. She stands up and scurries over to see what the ruckus is, and delights in the presence of the rest of the students.

"Hello~" she greets, waving at Cassandra and all the others coming up the stairs. "How convenient."
Soan Sagittarius      Soan has been looting things, taking notes, returning to the second group just as things started exploding from the trap door. He looks a little surprised at it. "My, my," He lets out, adjusting his jacket as he peers over to see Cassandra peeking out of things. Who knew? The paths were connected after all. "Perhaps they did, Souji. Perhaps they did." He hefts up the crystal, perfect shape of a triangle as he looks it up to peer at it through a light. Perhaps a puzzle piece?

He looks down. "Hey! Are you guys allright, down there? Did you find anything good?"
Cirra Constantine     Cirra holds out a glowing law card, creating a blue field around the rest of group 1 as Cassandra explodes her way through the door. "You should at least warn us when you're going to do that." She puts the law card away.

"Boxes." She shouts up to Soan. "We can't confirm if they're trapped or not."
Soan Sagittarius      "Oh, is that all?" Soan shouts back down, moving to the trap door, pocketing the crystal. "Hang on, I'm coming down!"
Dominic Masoch Dominic has many people to whom he must give emotional and moral support today. He pats Kyra on the shoulders a few more times, using both hands, "I know you could have, Kyra. Likely with a very fancy concoction from inside your jacket. It would have been very fantastic." He may be trying to reassure her, but he is avoiding sounding patronizing.

"Oh hey! Hi guys!" Dominic says, once the other group becomes visible. He waves up, happiest to see Soan, but Mirielle gets a close second. The others get a wave too, "Watch out on the way down."
Landon al Cid      Landon watches Cassie explode the door. Well...that was something. He applauds politely, then looks up as the group arrives. Thank Goodness he hadn't shown that healing ability to anyone else. Souji would've *leapt* on it.

Landon lowers his head slightly. "Hello. It's good to see that you're all alright."
Cassandra Dolet Cassie flattens herself against the side of staircase. "Anyone find anything interesting out there? I kinda triggered a trap and we went on a waterslide and ended up down here! I can hear the waterfall in my bones!"

Soan heads down to the one chest. It is in fact, both locked, and -trapped-. Beautiful. The lock is easiest to bypass, but the trap involves a series of shots of acid from various spots. Do well enough and he can retain the acid containers for future use.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason pauses at the crystal for a moment and she looks tat Soan before she loks about ready to come down. She moves to follow Soan down she'll land in a crouch none the worse for ware and she grins. Domnic gets a greeting

"Good to see you Dominic. Kyra, Landon, Cirra and everyone else.

"Soan? I found a gem just like that one and I'm wondering if it's some sort of key..."
Souji Murasame "Interesting." Souji replies to Ainsley. "Perhaps it is similar to how when a Galiandan passes through their Squire phase and finally crystallizes a Job. Many of us experience similar things during that time."

He continues to stand there and wait for everyone to get back together. Landon should totally be glad he didn't see that. It would raise interesting Questions.

In the meantime, however, Souji simply is happy enough to hover ominously near the group.
