Fang In the small town, things were peaceful. Though for the former Dragon Emperor the peaceful was-- slightly boring. The young man with his slightly elfish look and slightly draconic like eyes walked along the sidewalk.

He had a piece of bread of some kind he was at /last/ finish up that was given to him some time ago and he was mostly just browsing by some of the shops. Looking at what they had to show off in the windows.

It was times like these he wish he knew where he could buy some armor, as though the used orc armor worked in a pinch, it was heavy-- and he didn't really care for that.
Gakupo Kamui ...What's that sound?  Singing?  It's not just singing.  It's a song, with a full band.  But there's something weird about the voice.  It sounds... metallic... somehow.  It's on-key, though; the metallic sound is just an undertone to it, a clue to the source of the sound.  And at times it sounds like there are several people singing... but all with the same voice.  It's a mysterious-sounding song, speaking of the mysteries of time.

Should Fang continue further to find the source, he'll find a small crowd of people gathered around a tall, slender fellow in attire that makes him impossible to miss.  The surcoat and pleated pants speak to an older aesthetic, but the bodysuit underneath, with its technological bent, and the lights softly glowing on it, is definitely modern.  Possibly postmodern.

His flamboyance doesn't stop with his clothes, though.  His hair is PURPLE, and done up in a topknot.  nd even in the high ponytail it still reaches nearly his knees.  Not only that, but a close look at his face shows he's wearing eyeshadow and lipstick, though he is visibly male, and his voice is audibly so.

Something else a little odd.  The crowd listening to him seems to be swaying gently to the rhythm, most looking content and contemplative.  They seem to be... sort of spacing out...
Ryu     The gentle sound of song drew the ears of a dragon. This dragon, seemingly smaller and perhaps less intimidating than most, ambles down the road of the town from a different direction. This strange dragon with pearl scales begins to hum the song as he gets a hang of the tune, and when he reaches the edge of the crowd, he finds himself swaying a bit, too.

Gold eyes try to peer over people's heads, but alas, it is fairly difficult to tell what's going on due to his smaller height. So the dragon walks over to find a nearby bench-- a metal bench that he lifts over his head with a grunt. He walks over to the edge of the crowd again, setting the bench down (*CLANK*) so he can stand on top of it and get a look from another perspective.

His tail wiggles behind him, his animal-like curiosity evident when he stares toward Kamui. Ryu looks across the whole crowd, people who are spacing out thanks to the music, and his eyes narrow suspiciously, then direct back toward the singing mechanical being.
Fang Fang hears the sound of music and raises an eyebrow gently. Those teal blue eyes narrow for a moment as he hears the odd song, taking one last bite out of the elf bread that has served him for a long time. Eventually the young half-elf (is he really??), makes his way over to the crowd and the singing.

He does take notice of the white dragon and furrows his brows. More dragons-- or was that--? Hrrm. Either way, he then looks over the people and to the singer who seems to be entrancing folks-- or maybe they really enjoy it?

In this case, Fang is use to musical craziness from his own world known as the Siren Clan-- don't ask how he knows about them. Its a loong story. Either way, he walks toward one of the people on the edge, trying to ignore the music best he can, before stepping around one of the people and aheming gently, "Know what is going on?"

Figures better to ask before waving hand in front of faces-- and hoping his own strong will keeps him from being effected.. if this is infections. Maybe he is just being paranoid... Man.. that be a new one.
Gakupo Kamui There's nothing going on magically here.  And the sound of his voice has no malice in it.  It's just a pretty song.  Neither Ryu nor Fang will feel any compulsion to space out.  There's no pull of the consciousness, no lulling to sleep, nothing like that.  The crowd doesn't seem to be drawn towards him or towards anything in particular.

In fact, some of the crowd turns to look at Ryu when he lifts the metal bench up.  So they're not completely unaware of what's going on around them.  Fang's gentle clearing of throat to the townsperson gets a surprised look, and the townsperson says, "Hm?  Oh, I'm not sure.  He showed up a little while ago and wanted to sing for us.  Nobody saw the harm in it, and he's not causing trouble, so nobody's told him to go away."

He seems like he's finished his song, though.  And when his audience applauds, he bows.  But it's about then that he sees Ryu.  Fang doesn't look much different than a normal person (much to Fang's chagrin, perhaps).  Ryu, however...  The purple-haired man takes a step back, looking in Ryu's direction and blinking as if confused.  None of the townspeople seem upset to see him, though there is a young child who appears to be trying to catch Ryu's tail...
Ryu     Ryan is a heroic sort, and the idea of singing doing some sort of mind control evidently does not sit right with him. The fear in the robot's behavior makes the white dragon hesitate, though, as if uncertain how to handle the reaction when he sees it. "Hey there," speaks the dragon without moving its mouth, backgrounded with a faint crystalline quality. It's actually fairly soothing, but not quite human.

He looks down when a small child grabs his tail. His gold eyes blink a couple times, and his tail flops over and out of the way, just trying to avoid getting his tail tugged on. He looks back up to Kamui and seems brightly curious. The crowd doesn't seem to be doing anything malevolent, now that the music has stopped...

"Nice music." His head turns, though, spotting a familiar face. He raises a hand and waves at Fang with a lot of energy and enthusiasm, the dragon apparently quite excited to see his swordsmanship trainer!
Fang Fang listened to what the guy had to say and gives a soft nod. "Good to know." He says with a calm sound in his voice. Honestly though, he doesn't care if he blends in or not. The Multiverse is a big place and even with his more ornate clothing-- somewhere-- someplace-- there is a place just like that with people.

Though he stares at the strange man up on the stage, before he then makes his way through the crowd with some pretty simple ease and very well placed foot work. Seeming to move around people with very graceful steps. "Hey. Hey you." He says toward Gakupo, "What's your name, pal and you some traveling bard?"

Though as he hears the dragon speak he pauses. The tone in the voice.. the sound. He narrows his eyes sharply then before he suddenly changes his entire focus, "...Ryan?"
Gakupo Kamui Following Ryu's observation of the crowd not doing anything malevolent... this is the cue where that whole crowd SHOULD, given Multiverse shenanigans, turn into mutated zombie monsters and attack both he and Fang!

...Which is totally NOT what happens, because Gakupo's name is not 'Eve'.

What actually happens is the crowd starts to wander away normally once the music stops.  Ryu's calm response, and the fact that Fang seems to know the talking dragon, seems to have put him at ease.  He still looks confused, though, and what should be nothing more than light reflections in his eyes move from one side of his eye to the other.  It rather reminds one of a loading icon-- if one is familiar with what a 'loading icon' is anyway.

However, Fang HAS asked the singer's name.  The 'loading' stops, and the light reflections stop moving and return to their previous positions.  "Ah, thank you," he responds to Ryu, bowing politely.  And to Fang, "My name is Gakupo Kamui."  A hand on his chest.  "I'm a performer, yes~!"
Ryu     Ryan drops down off the bench, landing on his digitgrade feet. He lets out a soft, hissing sigh, looking around at folks as they wander off, and then picks up the bench to put it back. A glance over his shoulder at Fang acknowledges his confusion, but the white dragon finishes the task of putting the piece of outdoor furniture back where it was before coming over to answer.

"Yep," he answers to Fang, simply enough. He seems cheerful about it. Despite how serene his voice is, the lazy nature to how he talks is still there. "Sorry if I spooked you," he smoothly goes on to say, looking back over to Kamui with those warm golden eyes. "My name is Ryan Bateson. I'm a soldier and an Ally of the Union, and a minor member of the Izzet." He gives a little bow to the performer.
Fang "Spooked me?" Fang about barks a laugh at that. "Come on kid. Your talking to a guy who challenged a twenty foot robot. I don't spook easily." There is a grin on his face.

He looks back over at, "Gakupo huh? Interesting name. I'm Fang. Dragon Emperor-- well-- former.. its complicated." He grunts at that, "..though one second."

Then Fang looks back at Ryu. "So kid, what is the story? First you were scared of being a dragon, now your wondering around like a whelp taking it easy." He then crosses his arms over his chest. "You don't go from being scared of something then suddenly accepting overnight." There was a strange look on Fang's face. Though he was hiding it behind the smirk. Perhaps a hint of hidden jealousy or mild hidden disdain.

After all-- in a sad truth, Ryu was just being a reminder right now.

Though his teal eyes look back over to Gakupo, "Back to you though.. " He tilts his head gently, "Just /what/ did you do to those people?"
Gakupo Kamui "Oh!  I just joined the Union myself," he observes.  "My mother wanted me to join one of the factions so I could choose what kind of person I became."  He goes quiet as Fang introduces himself.  "Ah, pleased to meet you--"  Pausing then as Fang is suddenly... interrogating Ryu about his shape.

And then suddenly interrogating HIM!  "What?"  A confused blink.  He freezes a moment, eyes doing that weird thing again.  Then he's in motion again.  "I... don't know that I did anything to them," Gakupo hedges.  The hesitation is out of confusion though.  "What do you mean?"
Ryu     Ryan looks at Fang with some uncertainty. He doesn't know about, say, jealousy, but the suspicion is enough to clue in the dragon about the whole thing. "You're one of the people who helped me accept it, in your own way," he mentions to Fang in a softer tone of voice. "All of the dragons I've met made it easier to understand what it meant for me. And then something... forced me to strengthen my resolve. Nael tried to command me to do something against my nature, and my uncertainty made me more pliable. I can't be afraid of being a dragon if I want to protect anyone."

He nods firmly. "That is a man I think you would want to flay," he points out. "'Nael Dues Darnus.'"

He looks over to Kamui, blinking once very slowly. "It looked like you hypnotized them," he tells Kamui with some measured patience. It's pretty matter-of-fact.
Fang Fang's features soften for a moment as Ryu explains. He hasn't forgotten what Ryu told him or about the dragons he had to kill. It was-- just a mild surprise. Someone actually.. was giving him thanks. "Huh. Yeah. I guess I did..."

Fang then ahems softly, getting himself out of his moment of 'well then..' and back to the matter at hand. "Pretty much what the kid said," To Kamui, "You had them under some type of hypnotic state. I mean, you had to be aware of that-- right?"
Gakupo Kamui Gakupo brings a hand up to cover his mouth in shock when Ryu mentions having been almost controlled.  Though he lowers the hand form his face, smiling, when the moment of camaraderie passes between Ryu and Fang.  But he doesn't comment on it, because it wasn't aimed at him.

He'll keep quiet until he is addressed about the hypnotism.  "I... no, I didn't realize it."  He looks between the two with surprise.  "I wasn't planning on doing anything with them.  I just wanted to entertain them, that's all..."
Ryu     Ryan looks pleased that Fang is accepting the explanation, and doesn't elaborate on it beyond that. He just keeps his attention mostly on Kamui. The dragon chuffs once at the surprise that Kamui shows. He shakes his head slowly at the performer and then goes on to say, "Don't worry about it too much." He gestures at some of the people that wandered off, "If something's up with your singing, I don't think the effects are that strong. They cleared out right after you were done."

"Might just be something about your nature. Like your songs are powerful. All you gotta do is make sure you're careful."
Fang Fang gives a nod in agreement with Ryu said, "Exacly and trust me-- if you were /honestly/ a threat, I am pretty sure the Kid and I here would have actually take far more... unfriendly.. actions." The dragon emperor says with a snort.

"Anyways, if you two excuse me. I need to continue looking around the place and probably get something to eat," He then looks at Ryu, "..and you can join me once your done here."

Fang then turns on his heel and goes to walk away. "See ya, music man!"
Gakupo Kamui Gakupo nods.  To Ryu, "I hope not.  I don't want the only reason people listen to me sing is because they have no choice..."  And he really looks disturbed by that notion, truthfully.  He frowns, clearly upset at the thought.  And he draws his hands up protectively, towards his chest, when Fang mentions 'more unfriendly actions'.  He doesn't seem to like that thought either!  But when Fang makes to go, Gakupo bows politely.  "Enjoy your lunch!" he offers.
