Defiant      BROCKTON BAY
     PRT HEADQUARTERS

Since Leviathan's attack on Brockton Bay, the city has begun the long process of recovering. In some areas of the city, there is still water damage and flooding. The fact that numerous villains have set up various claims in the aftermath have only made things more difficult.

However, the Protectorate Headquarters had weathered the attack and recovered more quickly than most. There has been some restructuring in the aftermath of Armsmaster's 'incident', leaving Miss Militia in charge, but the Protectorate continues to try and help people as best they can. There are capes all over the city, doing what they can with their powers. With all those capes out, there aren't too many at the actual headquarters - only the mundane Protectorate Response Teams, fancy SWAT teams for a superpowered age.

It might just be the perfect time to stage a heist.

With multiple levels, the visible parts of the large skyscraper like complex are reserved for offices and training rooms. It's the levels below ground where anything interesting might be kept - Tinker technology, confiscated villain gear, or whatever small bits and pieces of Endbringer material that the Protectorate was able to salvage from Leviathan during the battle. Grey scales of a crystalline nature, kept fiercely protected by the PRT to ensure that no one - like some mad Tinker with an affinity for cloning - can do something horrible with the material.

Of course, now that the Endbringers are known to the Multiverse, it'd be foolish to think that only people from this world would be interested in their unique capabilities.
Starbound Flotilla     Far above, in orbit, one can find the Starbound Flotilla. The six founding ships that broke off from the multiversal allies to work on a little job, the Starbounders will have an extremely brief radio conversation, led by their more raiding-inclined member.

Shortly after the radio conversation concludes, six beams of red light will descend to the area just outside the complex itself. SEFT, the robotic member of the group, immediately sets about scanning for data about potential entrypoints closer to the point below, while the MAIN GROUP begins their approach into the PRT building proper. Not a lot of subtlety from this particular gang, they're just going to approach head-on. Today each of them have on their steel combat gear, Moonfin in samurai armor, Biteblade in steel plating with bone ornaments, Pavo with a pirate-styled segmented-plate sort of thing, Albert wearing some kind of dystpian commando armor, George with a scavenged spacesuit altered into an armor suit, and Seft wearing full-on medieval soldier wear.

Their approach is lacking in immediate violence, but their previous radio will likely preclude that.
Alpha Centauri The city from all long distance scans have shown that it is still under recovering and perhaps something of value lurks within a particular facility. Though the Accretian Empire is heavily advance, there is still some interest from those of the Science Caste in some areas of the Multiverse that may have-- objects-- of furthering progress.

After all, if it has something to do with genetics or something akin too, the Accretians will not turn a blind eye to it for long...

Though it doesn't seem they are the only ones interested in what may lurk below this complex, as it seems aliens from far away also have taken great interest here. An issue perhaps, but an issue Alpha Centauri will deal with.

As the gang of aliens make their descent, the two cloaked aerial drones bank away from the sudden action, before shifting around a few buildings and then going to hover near by a tall mechanoid that stands around ten feet tall. His gold optics flicker gently.

His 'wings' spread out slightly, before he then leaps off the building he was standing on and his thrusters blast him straight for the area. Glass shatters at his low approach and as his feet impact the ground, they slide ever so. Sparks catching off as metal meets concrete.

His shield activates, along with his own photon rifle that he holds in his hands. There was a low throttle in his growl within the vocalizer. He looked at the group that came from-- who knows where and examines each of them, trying to find some match in the Confederate database-- if any at all.

Meanwhile, the two aerial drones swoop around and then suddenly go bolting into the complex itself, willing to fire off any its pulse rifles or missiles to gain access for whatever Alpha Centauri is seeking here.

Thankfully the drones are not that tough, though to a non-elite, they may take a bit to break.
Toph Beifong     It is a little out of the way, but the master earthbender does make her way to Brockton Bay. The streets themselves rumble as the blind girl surfs on an earthen plate down the street towards the PRT HQ. Her approach isn't stealthy nor silent in the least, and she listens intently to her radio as well as the noises in the area. Alpha's destructive flight doesn't go without notice either, and Toph frowns slightly as she recalls the fight she had with the large being before.

Still there are potential raiders here who require her focus. And there is no way that they will get their grabby hands on something that they shouldn't be messing with in the first place!

Skidding to a halt in front of the skyscraper, Toph kicks into the plate and points an index finger at the six members. "Don't think about taking another step," she warns them. Okay, one robot, and the rest are wearing steel... That ought to make things simple. She isn't sure just what their abilities are, but it's better to keep them occupied until the others arrive.

"Leave now, and I won't kick your asses!" Yes, the short earthbender looks dead serious as she makes that claim.
Rory White     Is violence REALLY necessary here? Rory's no longer so sure about this group. Raiding a society out of the blue seems... EXTREMELY un-neighborly?

And yet apparently there wil be rules of engagement. No deaths. Minimal blood. How is that supposed to work?

Whatever the case, she said she'll adventure with thiscrew. Despite her objections, abandoning them entirely doesn't seem very comrade-like now does it?

So Rory deploys as well. Not with the Flotilla, but from the warp gate. A small frisbee-sized device - and the shape of a frisbee for that matter, looking much like a tiny UFO - floats along behind the Flotilla, while several identical devices float high up into the city and begin high-resolution scanning across the whole spectrum to get a detailed map of the PRT building's rough layout- what of it isn't specially shielded anyways.

This time, however, that information's not being shared with anyone.

The blue-haired scientist herself takes up a position a few blocks away from the PRT building, on the top floor of some building within eyesight of the ongoing events.

    Wireless radio. Gotta love it.
Alexis You didn't need to be a genius to see where the conversation on the broadbands was headed. The discussion between the would-be pirates and Defiant hadn't even finished before Alexis was pulling out of of the ranche on her motorcycle and hitting the nearest wargate chain to get to Brockton Bay, and it only takes a few minutes before she comes roaring out of the gate for the cape-town.

Yes, the motorcycle is colored in shades of pink as well as red. No, it's not girly. It's still awesome because it's a custom built, high performance machine, and roars just as nice and loud as any proper street chopper. It even has a sidecar! Which with no other riders is being occupied by a Porygon-Z projecting a holographic GPS map so they can navigate around the reconstruction zones of the city.

The bike roars one last time before Alexis clamps the brakes and purposely fishtails it enough to come skidding to a stop just outside the building and not far from the others. One it's idle she pulls off her helmet and shakes her pigtails loose, tossing the headgear in the sidecar next to the Porygon. "For being home of a lot of superheros, this city sure sucks at ever catching a break."
Eryl Fairfax      It's been a quiet few days for Eryl! Just putting one foot in front of the other, 24 hours a day. At least, until some woman with an accent started making threats towards an organization allied to the Union. Checking his internal pedometer, he's met his daily quota for distance travelled. Though it galls him that he has to justify leaving his route to help people, ReGenesis has no cause to complain right now.

So, he goes warpgate jumping, eventually arriving at Brockton Bay. Having never visited before, he simply checks the skyline for skyscrapers and heads towards the one that seems to match best with the maps he downloads in his brain.

Soon, he walks towards the invaders beaming down from their ship from the side. His cloak is pulled tight around his body, concealing whatever may be under it. When engaging with an unknown enemy, it is best to be unknown yourself. In a loud, steady voice, he addresses them. "Please, do not do this. If you need materials, barter for them. Engaging in violence will only build up resentment towards you, not to mention the issue of bodily harm suffered at the hands of defenders. Should you persist, I will not hold back, nor will the Union and the PRT. This is your last warning."
Brooklyn     Seems Alexis isn't the only one traveling by motorcycle. Gargoyles have wings, sure, but they're designed for gliding and short-range flight using thermals. When someone has to get a long distance quickly, they have to find an alternate means. Thankfully Brooklyn has an alternate means of transportation.

Having taken the warpgate in Manhattan and driven straight through to Brockton Bay, the gargoyle knows that whatever these guys are after, it's better they don't get it, for the simple fact that it sounds dangerous. Sometimes it's better to keep these kinds of things out of the wrong hands, even if you have to find a way to destroy them yourself. The gargoyle's motorcycle roars, the custom built sports bike tearing across the pavement of the city after he comes out of the warp gate.

His wings are wrapped tightly around himself so they don't catch air and lift him off of the bike. His bike roars up near Alexis' own, though he turns and ducks it into an alley before he hops off the bike. He starts to head in her direction, "Might wanna get that off the street. I speak from experience, these things seem to be a magnet for bullets, especially when they're custom built!"
Staren     Staren's not sure what to make of Brockton Bay and the Protectorate. Though, he's mostly interacted with Armsmaster, who has rules and then breaks them so Staren can't predict him. That's unsettling. But, the Protectorate is allied with the Union, and inside their HQ are stored dangerous things -- much like similar vaults Staren's aware of in Njorun, Nivix, Morg McGee's lab, and to a lesser extent his own lab.

And now those people who helped XCOM want to use those things to do who knows what. They have technology that's good at making things. Could they duplicate the dangerous things here? Certainly, they could combine them with something else...

So it is that the Star Hawk, last seen here during the Endbringer attack, flies in from the direction of the warpgate. In a blur of tiny moving parts it transforms to humanoid mode, over 40 feet tall,, and thrusters in the leg and back allow it to come in for a landing in front of the PRT Headquarters. "Leave now." Staren's voice comes over the speakers. "There's plenty of treasure out there in the Multiverse that's less well protected. If you just want stuff, or to get rich, you're welcome to it. But if you /need/ the treasure in here... and you can't talk about it... then you're up to something we can't allow. So what's it going to be?"

"Leave, explain yourselves, or be destroyed?"
Lyria Mason TOph is not th eonly responder this time here comes Lyria and she's looking more than a bit out of place with what she's wearing it's a bit out of place then agian with super heros running about it might not be /that/ out of place. She's brought her drone with her at this point and the mechanize serpent coils along after her she notices Alexis and Brooklyn's arrival so she chose to form up with with them and she's makes redy to intercept hte attackers. So that pair of pirates were back and had friends. Okay if that's how they want to play she'll play.
Defiant      The Starbounders would find the interior of the base remarkably cosmopolitan. It is, after all, designed for civilians to come in and out of, to visit the gift shop, to get autographs and photos. There don't seem to be many around - perhaps they were all given the order to evacuate.

The half a dozen or so Protectorate Response Team members, clad in some sort of advanced body armor and wielding what look like flamethrowers, give the Starbound team an icy reception. With them is a young man who seems to be made out of metal - hair, skin, eyes, everything. This is WELD. If the Starbounders have access to the local Internet, they can tell that he is completely metal and able to shapeshift.

Oh, and he forcibly and uncontrollably bonds to any sort of metal he comes into contact with. A lot of memes about him, too, strangely enough.

SEFT would find that the only entrances into the basement level are a set of elevators towards the back of the foyer area.

But they'll need to get past the PRT, WELD and the UNION DEFENDERS first.

When ALPHA CENTAURI sweeps in with pulse rifles and missiles going off all over the place, everything explodes into action.

The PRT members begin trying to hose down the attackers with a thick foam that rapidly hardens over what it touches. WELD advances upon the six, pounding one metallic fist into another with a distinct 'clang'!
Starbound Flotilla     The matching in the Fed database for Alpha Centauri is fairly simple. They've been doing scientific trading with Lance Benson, bouncing back and forth between heroism and raiding, known for a very tolerant way of thinking as a group. No risk of obstructing! They've noticed the drones, but aren't quite understanding what's going on there yet...

Meanwhile, they're challenged! "Aye, lass, but if me crew leaves now, how'm I supposed t'get me buried treasure, mmm?" Pavo says, casually coming to a stop somewhere near Toph. Alexis hasn't approached yet, and so she goes without response, while Eryl's reasonable negotiation gets a laughing response. "Aye! Who'd want ye holdin' back, hmmm? Bartering? Yaharharhar! Maybe ye don't know the way pirates work, lad. It's 'take all ye can, give nothin' back', not 'take all ye can, give economically appropriate exchange back'."

Seft is detecting Brooklyn's more remarkable car, as well as other higher tech around, and quietly begins alerting the crew to it. Meanwhile, Staren and Eryl get a more rational response from the samurai fishman here. "Salutations. We are the Starbound Flotilla, and I am Moonfin. We've come seeking certain critical components of industrial advancement. We've no grudge against you or the people here. We've simply nothing to trade this for, and... Decisions were made in compromise to permit a more pragmatic approach this time. Defend against us if you wish; we will adhere to your rules of humane combat, and hold no grudge against you for doing so."

And then, the attack begins. Seft is the one who speaks up. "Recognizing. Target identified as 'WELD'. Do not physically contact. Metal may be reused against you." All six draw their weapons suddenly from the hidden space of their Matter Manipulators, though! It's clear that some recent advancement has brought them to TIER 2 of their WEAPONCRAFTING! Seft's axe, Moonfin's katana, Biteblade's twin knives, Pavo's cutlass, George's baton, and Albert's hammer all seem to be made of much more advanced alloys than steel... And crackle with non-lethal stunning electricity on their surface!

Albert is the first to attack. WELD gets a critical, assessing look, before a GRENADE LAUNCHER is drawn in the other hand, leveled, and fired without regard for recoil, launching a stun-explosive grenade square at him! Since, you know, they should DEFINITELY avoid attacking him with their actual weapons. Pavo takes a superhuman leap into the air, HIGH, avoiding the spray of foam! It's a jump high enough to maybe land on Staren's giant mecha-shoulder, attempting to disorient before she pounces forward into the foyer!

Brookyln and Alexis aren't quite here yet, and Eryl is ignored -- mostly because he's concealing what he can do and not seeming directly confronting! -- just for the moment, so that leaves Toph and Lyria to handle the remaining four for now! Biteblade and George dash forward with inhuman levels of speed, seemingly propelled by lines of energy, dodging around and between sprays of foam. BITEBLADE will attempt to pounce and plunge a non-lethal taser-knife into Toph's gut immediately, while George will just swing his stun baton intending to catch her on the head before the pounce, and then hopefully leave her down while he dashes into the building proper! Moonfin and Seft both approach with similar bursts of dashing light, Seft swinging her hefty axe at Lyria's drone to shock it, at least for a moment, and Moonfin trying to do the traditional Samurai Dash-Slash Strike that passes past her while performing an intense electrical strike that will cause stunning pain!

And unless someone stops him, Albert will be closing in on the PRT defenders, and Weld, continuing an irregular spray of stun-grenades -- how's he even reloading?? -- and trying to crash against people's torsos with the stun-hammer.
Alpha Centauri The drones attempt to get around, but when the foam gets on them, it brings them straight down to the ground. They ended up shorting within the foam, before they suddenly explode. This sudden lose of contact with the drones causes Alpha Centauri too look toward the inside of the building and rumble lowly.

"..how typical.." He can only rumble as he looks back at the Flotilla about the time that everyone else shows up. The ten foot mechanoid turns on his heel gently to look at each of them. He then peers back over at the group from space and hms gently. "If you handle the exterior, I will handle the interior. I am only after one thing-- you can have the rest."

That should be pretty reasonable right, because he was /after/ only one thing and with the drones down, the large machine makes his way inside.

He shifts his body to get in, and uses his shield to ram anything out of his way, then switching from his photon rifle to a plasma blade, in equal turn if he can not ram it-- he cuts it. Any sensors can tell the metal alloy the Accretian is made out of is not normal and any attempt to 'hack' or 'override' him is met with a massive wall that is actually not code at all, but something.. different.

Any defenders that get in his way are met with either shield or sword. Though from non-elite shots they would find bullets do not work and more heated weaponry will scorch the metal, but Alpha Centauri has every plan to keep marching forward unless something bigger gets in his way.
Lyria Mason Lyria has a feeling this is going to become a thing with this group she's more shocked to see certain others comming after TOph and her self. Lyria is a geomancer and Toph will shorly notice something. Remora is caught off guard by Seft it's a really good hit and moonfin would find something happenin as she closed with Lyria. She moves stomping on the ground and channels something, while man mand this is still connected to the elemnt and the charging alien samuri would find a burst of magma exploding out the blacktop as she closes.

Toph would sense that Lyria is clearly doing something akin to bending btu not quite in the same way as things. Lyria does not care if the magma hits or not but it should be enough cover for her to get out of harms way and draw her own cutlass.
Starbound Flotilla     Seft is the one who speaks up, the synthetic being speaking in her robotic monotone as she runs in towards Lyria. "Affirming. We will advance to the interior when we are able." A brief pause. "Grateful. I do not understand why you are assisting, but if you adhere to the rules provided for humane combat, your assistance is appreciated. Optimistic. I am hopeful that we are not after the same thing."
Toph Beifong     "I guess that means you will have to go without treasure then," Toph snorts with a frown. Well, they were given a chance. But if they won't leave, then that means that she has to be ready for fight. When their weapons are drawn however she frowns. It's metal, but not a type of alloy she has encountered before. But that doesn't discourage the blind girl, not even when the six of them get moving.

Toph's expression hardens as she feels Biteblade head off towards her as well as George, swinging their weapons. Already she is moving, taking note of their direction as well as the way they wield their weapons. A kick to the ground raises an earthen wall between her and Biteblade, and then Toph lashes out with her right hand, sending a series of earthen spikes towards George. "You aren't getting in! How difficult is that to understand, dunderheads?!" she demands as she steps back to avoid the stun baton as best as she can, wincing as she feels the electricity tingle. Too close for comfort!
Starbound Flotilla     Seft then manages to slam hard on the drone! Aw, sweet! She managed to get past here without hurting people. Seft, of course, is perhaps the most moral and upright member of the Flotilla, and so the princessy medieval soldier will be fine with attacking what mostly looks like a non-sapient target. She slips by now! Meanwhile, Moonfin gets magma'd! Skidding to a brief stop as the magma blocks his path! The spray sears him, minorly. "Fourth Sea Hylotl Style: Bubble Passing Through Water." He mutters under his breath, then suddenly rushing THROUGH the spray of magma! His electro-katana goes through a flurry of strikes against the fluid itself that manage to dampen the spray, but the magma will still blister flesh and slag sections of his armor!

He winds up taking the most direct possible path to Lyria though! And swings his electric katana in an overhead strike just as her own cutlass is coming out!
Defiant      Beneath the building, it's a very spartan, sterile atmosphere. Bright lights, bare walls, blank corridors. It is very much the sort of chic that screams 'secret facility'. There are sensors trained on him, running straight into the wall. Dragon feeds whatever she can to Defiant. She is elsewhere, at the moment, but her partner isn't.

There's not many people down there, but the few that are are quickly dispatched by Alpha Centauri. As he approaches one of the secure vaults, Defiant appears, as if out of thin air, a spear held in his two-handed grip.

Defiant is six-feet tall, clad in green and gold powered armor that resembles a high-tech knight. His visor is blank, expressionless, decorated by a set of sleek wings on either side. His armor, too, continues the theme, replete with etchings of scales and other draconic features.

Defiant levels his two-pronged spear at Alpha Centauri. "This is your last warning," he intones, voice masked by a filter in his helmet. "Leave, or I will destroy you."

As if to punctuate his words, a grey blur flickers into life around the head of his spear.
Alexis "And if you put a big red R on something it's like it instantly becomes a lightning rod," Alexis replies to the gargoyle with a bit of a chuckle as she swings over her leg and hits the pavement. "Don't worry, got it covered." Seeing as soon as she got off the seat the Porygon-Z floats up into her place. There's a little discharge of electricity to turn over the ignition, and then drives the cycle off scene. Look ma, no hands! ... if only because it's using its faux telekinetic control to steer.

With that taken care of, let's see what we've got he -- pff, figures the raiders would try and bumrush everyone while they're getting situated. With a snort she snags one of the red and white balls off her belt and expands it to full size as she darts in after the spaced invaders. "Well, they've got the lack of patience down for being pirates at least." As soon as the group is back in few she skids into a stop and puts the momentum into throwing the pokeball with all the grace of a professional pitcher. Though instead of the floor she aims it at a wall to rebound off to get past the back of the group, and then it pops open with a flash of energy.

A black and blue form briefly archs by to land with precision atop Toph's stone wall. Dog-like features glance over the fighting, and notices the robot-girl smacking the drone and trying to run through. <I do not think so...> An indigo color of energy ripples around the Lucario briefly as she leaps off the barrier, form briefly blurring with speed as she aims her leap to intercept Seth with a timely Quick Attack.
Staren     Staren's watching the other large robot here... so when Alpha Centauri shows up and heads for the building, he raises the mech's arm and fires a full-auto burst of hypersonic slugs... which then begins to veer off to the side as Pavo superjumps onto his shoulder. Staren shuts the railgun off and tries to just slap Pavo like a mosquito.

There's some kind of nonlethal fighting agreement going on, but Staren refuses to be hampered -- if people get their hands on the stuff in this vault, the potential loss of life is far greater. Besides, quite a lot is technically survivable if you get someone medical help immediately... They don't technically /need/ most of their bodies...

Fighting all these small targets with a mecha seems like it should be inpractical, but Staren has a plan -- he draws his missile launcher and fires a salvo of missiles at the Starbounders still outside. As these are designed to penetrate targets and explode, their blast radius is much smaller, allowing him to avoid catching his allies in giant balls of fire.
Eryl Fairfax      When the battle begins in earnest, Eryl blinks in surprise as no one seems to engage him. Perhaps his attempts at peacemaking made him come across as a man of words and not action? It has been a little while since his words have gotten him anything during a fight in the Multiverse. Admittedly, he wasn't able to make the Flotilla retreat, but he was able to give himself a tactical advantage.

     Time to play it up.

He begins walking through the battle, occasionally flinching away from the other fights. His eyes flick around nervously, looking to all the world like a man out of his depth, someone with no idea what they're doing.

Until his feet carry him close to Biteblade, that is. After they have tried to attack Toph, Eryl suddenly lashes out! His foot raises up, them kicks down, aiming at the back of Biteblade's right knee, trying to break it!
Alpha Centauri The Accretian continues his way down, the tight spaces make it sometimes interesting-- but he manages. Once he does get to where he should be, his gold optics train on Defiant before him, tossing one of the guards simply aside he still held in his hand with the tower shield attached to it.

"You are in an imperfect. Inferior." Alpha Centauri intones to Defiant with a calm voice. "Yet you stand before me. Weak. Coward behind armor." The plasma blade raises up, its hot white-blue light flickering around the area.

Even as Defiant lights up their own spear, Alpha Centauri stands his ground. "I shall not acknowledge your request."
Defiant      In the melee, Weld rapidly runs into a problem. He frowns when Seft speaks up, and frowns further as Albert begins pelting him with grenades. The metal parts on the outside of the grenade /stick/ to Weld, as if melting slightly to become part of his form.

He can't remove them before they go off.

The PRT line falters as Albert continues hammering Weld with grenades. The PRT spread out, but that allows Albert to clobber them with the stun-hammer. One by one, the PRT squad falls.

But Weld, dotted and pock-marked by the metal remnants of spent stun grenades, closes in on Albert. He has formed his left arm into a hammer of his own, like a big version of a claw-hammer you might find at a hardware store.
Defiant      "That is acceptable!" Defiant replies, and he charges, whirling that spear around his body like it weighs nothing at all. It seems way too big for the corridor, but where the spear comes into contact with the walls and floor, the metal plating just /vanishes/ into smokey plumes as the blade disintegrates everything it comes into contact with.

As Defiant closes the gap, he thrusts his spear forwards - and the weapon /extends/ out to strike Alpha Centauri!

Luckily, it'll probably be stopped by the plasma blade.
Starbound Flotilla     "Floran isss plant! Plant go THROUGH ground!" Biteblade yells from the other side of the earth-wall at Toph, after accidentally headbutting it painfully. And it's true! Plants are very well-inclined to going through ground, so rather than go around, they just sort of kool-aid man their way through the wall! They're moving to try to stab at Toph, before Eryl slams a kick at the back of their knee, throwing the aim off! Toph might get a jolting, buzzing slice at most from the grazing jab.

Meanwhile, George finds he can't deal with all these spikes, which not only cut a gashing line through his repurposed EVA Armor, but also cut him off from his entry! "Whoops!" He calls out. "Looks like I forgot somethin'." Whipping his gaze back, he sees... Toph, responsible! She's doing some kind of martial arts, isn't she! He can recognize that. And he takes his own stance, flipping his baton into a reverse grip: Robusting style, a martial art developed in zero gravity. Deciding against trying to pass by her, instead he rushes in with a series of brutal stun-baton-jabs combined with a sudden bit of advancing footwork intended to sweep Toph off her feet with abrupt rotation impulse! Or at least force her onto a defensive with the sudden, strange use of this hand-to-hand combat style.

Meanwhile, Eryl finds that the leg is... Cracking, and making strange fleshy noises. "AUGH! Ssstupid cloak, isssn't harmlesssss! Breaksss! Floran breaksss too!" Abruptly, the knives are gone: They have a compound bow in their hands, which they first swing from their prone position very wide, to batter Eryl away, and then begin firing mildly explosive STUN ARROWS at his torso to push him yet further away!
Rory White     Rory's very confounded to say the least. Chaos unfolds in her view as friends fight friends - however faint the covering of that description right now - in a conflict she never saw coming. This is far out of her calculations!

    People. Such weird logic.

ANd yet here she is sticking her nose in the whole matter to do... what, exactly?

The scientist leans back against the wall she's appropriated, gazes up at the ceiling... even while her real attention is on the dozens of sensor feeds showing the fight.

Yeah. What does she even HOPE to do? Why is she devoting resources to an effort she doesn't support?

"... I see... that's it... Moonfin's smart. Perhaps he and Seft picked this to mollify Pavo. If he knew they had these rules of engagement ahead of time, then it makes sense..." Or perhaps she's naively guessing that the Flotilla people are more principled than they likely are. Maybe.

    She's just ignorant that way!

The little Saucer drone's now in the PRT building, hovering over the conflict silently and out of the way, sending a feed back to Rory.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason is having an interesting time of it as she engaged the Samurai from space. She doesn't say a thing as her blade is made ready she presses a button on the hild and the blade seems to fiantly vibrate asz she moves to engage Moonfin with her own blade mocing to parry the strikes with her own blade hopefully at the last moment. This does preclude her form making other attack.

"Enguard!"

She'll attempt ot break the blade lock to try and launche a few strikes of her own.

Remoral meanwhile is trying to recover from Seft's bit but it may be debating going after what it's AI presume is another drone...uhoh.
Alpha Centauri Alpha Centauri doesn't even move as Defiant comes in. The Accretian only observes the movements of the one before him, though when the spear comes in for the jab, that is when Alpha Centauri moves with far more fluid motion then a machine should ever posses.

The Spear impacts into the shield with a spark of blue that lashes out as the shield contacts react to the kenetic force. Though the energy of the spear do scorch the shield and heat up the section it makes contact with, it was only there for a moment.

As Alpha Centauri uses this chance to use his own brute strength to slam the spear away and with thrusts quickly move right in on Defiant with a sweep of his plasma blade...
Starbound Flotilla     Staren tries to swat Pavo out of the air! This is a bad idea. She's an Avian! She bounces right off the hand! Though the process is pretty exhausting to her, she shouldn't do that too much. "Yarharharhar! Avast, boy! Ye think an Avian Grounded can be kept outta the skies!?" She leaps up again, bouncing in a wall-jump off the building itself. One shot towards Albert is all Staren is going to get off before Pavo descends, dramatically, from above! Her cutlass plunges down, attempting to skewer his micromissile launcher before he can get any more off. While Pavo suffers intense, horrible blistering and bruising elsewhere, it'll at least prevent more of the crew from suffering the same.

She remains standing on the missile launcher, and takes her cutlass into a challenging position right at the Star Hawk's eyes. "I'll cut ye down if yer four feet or if ye fourty, metal-lubber." It's a challenge to him! She can afford to fight him directly for a moment, until the path to the objective is clear.
Defiant      There is a flaw in Defiant's nanothorn technology. It is defeated by fire, forcefields and electricity - something which plasma might qualify as in all three categories. And the spear might be too big to quickly bring in to guard when someone sweeps in with a plasma blade.

The blade slashes across Defiant's chest, drawing sparks and leaving a great black gouge through the green armor there. Defiant moves, bringing up one of his arms to intercept the blade. Is he insane?

No, because that limb is also shrouded in the grey haze of a disintegration field. Defiant parries the blade aside with his energised arm, and uses his other arm to ready his spear for another thrust, aiming for Alpha Centauri's centre of mass!
Toph Beifong     There's some surprise when Biteblade crashes easily through the wall, and Toph frowns. This is new, but she should be able to do something, though as she raises her left hand she picks up the shape of... Eryl? What is he doing? Toph blinks as Eryl joins the fight and kicks into Biteblade's knee, and she pulls aside, wincing as the blade grazes her arm, drawing blood and making it twitch.

But it's not like George will be able to avoid being noticed either, and she turns even as she sweeps her foot, sending up several more earthen spikes at him and stepping forward, directing spike after spike up to block the swings of the baton. She is on the defensive, not about to put down her guard not intending to be swept off her feet! Letting out a grunt Toph kicks the ground and throws up her arms, whirling up massive amounts of dust!

For a blind girl it doesn't matter, but for seeing people it might prove a challenge she hopes. And then promptly lashes out, aiming to shift the earth underneath George in attempt to send him crashing into Biteblade.
Eryl Fairfax      These plant-based beings are very strange indeed! Eryl was taking a gamble in kicking the back of the knee, working under the assumption that they were similar enough to humans that they would be incapacitated by such a blow. So, he does let out a sigh of relief as Biteblade lets out a cry of pain and staggers.

Although, they're clearly not out yet! When Biteblade swings with the conjured bow (the sudden appearance of which makes Original Face yell at him again), Eryl leads his torso back as he steps away, avoiding the swing. But the sudden, close-range shots manage to catch him right in the torso, the stunning explosions knocking him back!

He lands on his back and lays still for a moment, long enough to maybe trick Biteblade that Eryl really was a nobody who got in a lucky shot... when something under the cloak shoots a single round, aiming for the elbow of Biteblade's draw arm!
Starbound Flotilla     Albert is driving off most of the PRT with his stun-hammer, but Weld is tough to get to go away! Albert is planning on something here, it seems. Dials are operated on his hammer, and the two hammermen face off! Albert's the one who moves in first, and despite burns and bruises from Staren's missiles earlier, seems still intensely energetic! Not enough to avoid Weld smashing his own hammer against him, of course.

He intends to smash his hammer into Weld. Of course, it'll unfortunately stick to him, but he's already fiddled with all the dials properly. Unless he can control technology inside the things sticking to him, the hammer will overload its inhibition elements and begin electrifying itself WAY too much! And, hopefully, electrifying Weld's armor too, and subsequently Weld himself, before it burns out.
Staren     Pavo... /attacks the gunpod/. People /never/ attack the gunpod!

It's actually three different missile launch systems, and it's pretty big -- but the micromissile launcher is disabled.

Staren just stares at Pavo through the optics for a moment. What?

Then he waves the gunpod wildly, trying to shake Pavo off.

Fighting her in the mecha is clearly going to be a problem -- this isn't the kind of fight he wanted! The cockpit opens and Staren, armored because he was expecting he might be pursuing the Starbounders through the HQ building, flies out, opening up with two shots from the beam cannons and a two-missile salvo from the launch systems in his armor.

The cockpit closes behind him. If Pavo was shaken off, the Star Hawk takes off and starts to fly away -- if not, it stays put while Staren prepares to fight atop his own machine!

"Do you really understand what you're after? This is no joke! You could endanger countless lives!"
Alpha Centauri Alpha Centauri doesn't have much room to move down here and while his hit was successful, the counter was about to be perhaps equally as painful. With no time to bring up the shield, he can only try to step back slightly.

The spear lashing into his chest armor, scorching it, then slowly attempting to melt in. The Accretian's optics burned brightly before he then went to actually slam the tip of his shield right into the staff of the spear.

Hoping to maybe break the weapon into two or at least damage it enough to kill the power source.
Starbound Flotilla     Moonfin is parried! The samurai is grinning under his helmet. Ah, a personal swordfight! How validating of all of his ego. A flurry of blows and blocks now; the pair are locked in dramatic combat! Cutlass styles versus katana. Sparks and electricity arc all around the pair with each bit of contact! Moonfin pretentiously rambles as he fights, of course; his ego won't allow it to go without some pseudo-stylish "As waves break against a shore, as storms crash against trees, this is the natural course of things. You fight with a sense of righteousness, or perhaps simply energy? It does not matter. I will not hate you for opposing me. Would you, for my assault here?" He begins to dash again, back and forth, attempting to attack from multiple angles as his position shifts several feet to the left, then the right, then right again, then left, then...
Defiant      The spear wavers. A lesser weapon might shatter, but with Defiant's skill of miniaturisation and efficiency, he has packed it full of ideas that make it much more resilient than normal, designed to be strong against the worst his world can offer. But it still wavers for a moment.

Putting all of his strength into his next blow, Defiant goes to drag his spear /up/ and /through/ the armor plating there, hoping to bury the two prongs into each of Alpha Centauri's eyes before he can strike the spear again!
Brooklyn     The PRT defenders look like they could use some help. The gargoyle had needed to get some air, and in doing so had been scaling the side of the building. Once he was high enough to get the speed he was going to need, Brooklyn lept.

Angling downwards, he tucks his wings against his back and drops like a stone, aiming towards Albert. That commando-esque armor looks along the lines of the same kind of gear Xanatos' mercs might wear. Brooklyn knows how to get through it. Though usually that way is just with an extremely violent strike.

He flares his wings at the last second as he comes towards Albert, and then angles his feet out, trying to plant both of them into Albert from behind and send him flying. Like a gargoyle powered missile dropkick.
Starbound Flotilla     Alexis' pokemon tackles Seft! Slamming into the metal body is going to be an unusual experience. She winds up on her back, her eye-visor flickering. With a high-pitched whine, the robot's body kicks into action all at once, all four limbs slamming upwards with enough force to launch the lucario back up into the air!

She's expecting it'll come back down with another attack. This time she comes prepared! The electrified axe swings around, trying to catch whatever hand goes to punch or foot goes to kick or beam goes to strike on the blade, dispersing the attack and possibly applying an electrical strike back. Then she intends to take a guarded position and strike back at the combatant! She's far too honorable to go after Alexis, after all! With a heaving swing, she swings in an overhead chopping sort of attack wherever that foe may land. It's nonlethal! Even though it craters the ground where it strikes!
Defiant      Albert sticks Weld with his hammer.

Weld's unique physiology accepts the metal, almost like its hungry for it, and Weld is suddenly off-balance as he swings his hammerhand for a powerful blow. With too much weight, Weld topples into a handrailing.

That sticks to him too. It doesn't go through him, but it melds perfectly with his chest, arms, hand, his cheek and hair. And the electricity from the hammer arcs into him, forcibly fusing Weld further.

To his credit, Weld doesn't shout or cry out. In fact, given his metal body, he's probably completely immune to pain. But that doesn't mean much when you can't /move/.

It'll take him hours to extract himself from the hammer and from the handrailing by piecing together where he begins and where the other metal isn't part of him.

He spits out a globule of some silvery saliva equivalent. "Fuck me," Weld murmurs awkwardly, half his face meshed with the railing.
Starbound Flotilla     George is launched! After failing to land any stun baton strikes and suffering a few more brutal spike-impacts against his armor, he's suddenly blinded by dust and TOSSED at Biteblade! Biteblade has temporarily gotten Eryl off his feet, and seems to think that's the end of it... And their leg's healed! Somehow! It's not clear how they've mostly gotten onto thir feet when George slams roughly into them. Both manage to scramble up. When the gunshot from Eryl lands, the Floran's long-range power is temporarily taken out! "AUGH! Floran ssswap with meatman!"

And then... They swap! George brutally rushes in to close the distance on Eryl's prone form, trying to run him down and kick him square on the ribs in the brutal "stay down" kind of way! And again, and again, and again... This isn't martial arts! Biteblade springs back into action, one arm shot up, the hand other holding the knife again. More vicious, brutal stabbing and jabbing, combined with... Unexpected BITING! She's going for that arm, tantalized by the sight of blood!
Starbound Flotilla     Pavo jumps again, as the gunpod begins to wave! They're Avians, air mobility is their thing! Pavo also has jump-enhancing techs on right now, of course. Staren jets out, flying, it seems, to pursue! The beams slam into the armor, slagging it and melting steel while blistering the feathered skin below, but the pair of missiles get cut out of the air by swings of the cutlass! And with a sudden horizontal movement canceling her vertical momentum, Pavo reaches level with Staren and then comes in to try to stab him in the gut with the stun-cutlass!

"Aye, a'course me crew knows whar we're after! Booty! What kinda bilge-rat sits around months and months of minin' just to afford some trade, when they could /take/ it in a raid? A lazy one, that's what! Yarharharharhar!"
Alpha Centauri The spear cuts up Alpha Centauri's chest. No pain is barked from the Accretian, making one even wonder if he feels pain. Though gash does show internal armor protecting even deeper in, though some mech fluid could be seen trying to leak out.

As the spear goes to cut up, as soon has it breaks past his chest armor and swings up for his optical sensors, the Accretian does not stay put.

Instead he leaps back, slamming his back against the wall and then with his thrusters ignite, he uses that sudden momentum to throw himself right at Defiant. Moving to slam his body right into him and perhaps into something else on the other side-- be it the wall-- a door-- whatever.

It was an attempt at a very nasty, high-speed tackle.
Alexis That's okay, Seft got tackles by a Pokemon that is also part metal! Well at least Lucario has steel coated fur that acts as a sort of biometallic armor, close enough. The impact of two bodies was probably loud and metallic sounding. Particularly when the robot jerks back to action sooner than expected and flings her off again.

The glow was gone from her body for the moment, but Sanshou's eyes still had the indigo sheen in them -- Seft actually pinged kind of weird to her aura senses, being clearly robotic yet registering as 'alive'. This is quickly summed up to an aspect of multiversal weirdness when the Lucario realizes there's a counter-attack waiting for the descent. So instead of striking directly she brings her arms up in front of her chest, electrical arcs snapping from the axe as it slams into the defensive posture and knocks her to the ground.

As she rolls onto her feet Sanshou brings up her arms and a six foot long form consolidates between them as she focuses aura energy into a solid form like a bone-shaped bo-staff and uses that to catch the overhead swing. Legs flex briefly with the recoil, and then she pushes up to dislodge the axe, and then spins around to whip out one of her legs in a roundhouse kick. With the foot-paw igniting in FLAMES courtesy of Blaze Kick. Go go rediculously specialized breeding for elemental moves.

Alexis, meanwhile, shifts her attention. Looks like Eryl is down and in a bad position. With a grunt she reachs into her bag, and pulls out one of her golf clubs. "Hey..." Alexis darts in close and swings the driver at George's side to knock him off the downed guy. "Mind if I play through?!"
Starbound Flotilla     Albert loses his hammer for a while. And then his footing! He's taken off his feet by a sudden GARGOYL DROP-KICK, tossed several feet through the air and thgen bouncing and rolling against the ground. He lands on his feet though, or at least on all fours, with an apelike grunt. With a rush of intense rage, his grenade launcher is dismissed to his Matter Manupulator, and a smaller rocket-launcher is produced! Futuristic, its size can be wielded so much more easily. He tries to intercept Brooklyn out of the air now! Firing rockets one after the other, he's using very militaristic anti-air future patterns, having his missiles explode in the air near Brooklyn or even just against his body, to try to force him onto the ground.
Toph Beifong     There we go! Toph exhales when she feels George crash into the Floran, giving her and Eryl a chance to breathe. Though they recover quickly, and when she hears Biteblade tell George to swap, Toph narrows her eyes. The wild attacking from the quick Floran requires some fast thinking and Toph finds herself pushed as the stabs and jabs are not going to stop. If it wasn't for her seismic sense she would have had no chance to keep up she imagines. The biting takes her by surprise though, and Toph cries out when Biteblade latches onto her arm, drawing more blood.

But up close it's far easier to fight too, and Toph gestures with her free hand, focusing on the metal in the blade Biteblade carries... and twists her hand, doing her best to yank it out of the Floran's grip and to slice at them!
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason says "You sound like a Levitani almost!"

She notes as the battle contiunes as as oftwn when two seafairing sorts cross blades they may dip towards the relm of the swashbuckler. The blade cross again they talk for a moment but Lyria lacks the power of the ultimate insult to lay low her foe with but a single word. So she's going to have to do this the normal and hard way, fight it out. She sees her foes is coming at her corm multiple angle she parries a good number of bnit all some slice into her, her clothing and otherwise score hits but she's still standing even as the woudns start to bleed.

"You seek to play with something best left burried!"

She then counter attacks but the strikes are more of a diversion as she sends a powrful furst of wind to try and assault Moonfin.
Eryl Fairfax      There's an advantage in having an ally to swap with in one on one battles. By changing it up, you keep the opponent off-balance, removing the advantage of knowing what your opponent will do. But, there's also a disadvantage there, if both parties don't understand both opponents.

As such, in that brief instant when Biteblade and George are swapping Eryl and Toph, there's a subtle shift in the cloak that covers Eryl. It rises up a few inches around the torso. Sneakily, Eryl has moved his arms to cover his chest, giving him as much defence as possible in this prone position. Thus, when George starts stomping on him, Eryl simply stares up at him with an impassive look as his foot clangs against metal over and over.

But then, in comes Alexis with the assist! And an appropriate one-liner too. Eryl takes advantage of the distraction, his legs sweeping at George's while he's setting up another kick, trying to knock him prone! Either way, he follows this with a kip-up, bending his legs back and kicking them forward to launch him back on his feet.
Staren     Pavo /cuts the missiles/. How does someone DO that?!

And then she comes to stab him with a stun weapon.

He's in power armor. He tries to hug one arm around her while drawing his beam saber with the other, starting to cut through her armor if she didn't evade him. "This booty's not worth it. Whoever you're selling it to wants it for something we cannot allow. Call your friends, and abandon this job. This isn't about money for me. This is /more important/. Is it more important than money to you? Is it more important than life?"
Defiant      Defiant's spear is suddenly annihilating air as opposed to metal when the big machine ducks away, and he is already swinging it down to counter Alpha's charge. On some level, Defiant is wondering just what sort of person charges someone armed with a spear.

The type who are fast enough and big enough to not have it matter, apparently.

Alpha collides with Defiant, and the pair slam into the heavy metal vault doors behind the power-armored cape, leaving a sizable dent. Nothing can be heard from behind Defiant's helmet, but the man groans. If it wasn't for Dragon's cybernetic enhancements, he might have been knocked unconscious, or made dizzy enough to not follow up.

But Defiant energises his arms with the disintegration field, somehow having lost his spear in the fall, and begins trying to punch his way through Alpha's armor and plating!
Alpha Centauri Once the charge is over, Alpha Centauri slams down his feet to only watch Defiant come right back at him. The Accretian weaves past one punch, blocks the other with a shield, takes another to the chest that actually knocks him back with the armor denting under the impact.

Then housing the plasma blade as the next throw comes which impacts the shield with enough force to even cause it to dent. There was a low rumble for the Accretian, for as the next swing comes in from Defiant, the Accretian then goes to catch the fist in the palm of his hand.

His objects glow brightly as he speaks, his fingers will attempt to slowly crush down on the hand if Defiant doesn't move it out of the way. "For an impure-- you are resilient." This is when Alpha Centauri attempts to run a scan on Defiant. Trying to figure out if there is any details he can get on the individual past the armor.

"Resilience is hard to come by from those of flesh.."
Brooklyn     The explosions going off around him are forcing Brookly back down to ground level, even as he tries to regain altitude. One of them is way too close and knocks him for a loop. He recovers but comes skidding to a halt, leaving a trail of claw marks in the pavement behind him, dropping into a crouch.

The armored gargoyle glares at Albert and his rocket launcher for a moment, "Listen, I don't have any issue with you, but you're putting a lot of people at risk, and that I can't allow." He knows that offering to let Albert leave won't work, it never works. Instead he has to figure out how to penetrate that rocket launcher's range. Then he gets an idea, a slight grin crossing his face.

The gargoyle jumps forward, and slams one of his feet down onto the pavement, causing the manhole cover there to pop up into the air as he catches it with his talon. It flips through the air a couple of times, before he grabs it out of the air, his momentum bringing him in a spinning motion before he releases the manhole cover.

The idea is to knock the rocket launcher out of Albert's hands, but these things weigh upwards of a hundred pounds, and he's throwing it like Captain America might throw his shield, so it'll do some damage if it hits.
Starbound Flotilla     CLANG. You kick a robot! Ouch!

Seft's body has locked up, and Sanshou will feel like they're kicking a solid wall! But steel armor crumples and dents, wounding the robot. But... her axe is caught! And she's fighting a foe that seems to be using magic! Oh shit, she needs to pull out...! Abruptly, she draws something from her Matter Manupulator, letting go of her axe. "Panicked. Please stand clear." She says in a perfect monotone as she draws... A gnarled wooden staff!

Something shines really brightly and some kind of massive eye opens between the Lucario and the Glitch, within which one can see horrible digital distortion patterns. Standing near it is extremely painful and causes constant lacerations.
Defiant      Alpha catches Defiant's armored hand in his grip and begins to /squeeze/. The metal, tough and resilient, begins to give way. That arm is the one that he - Armsmaster - once lost to Leviathan and, so, beneath the armor is just the strong metal of a cybernetic limb. Defiant doesn't even make a sound as that, too, begins to get crushed.

The scan would reveal that Defiant is a fairly average man of approximately thirty years of age. Tall, strong, no apparent physical flaws. But he's missing an eye, it having been replaced with an augmetic of some kind, and numerous cybernetic implants are riddled through his cranium, all hidden below the flesh. His torso, too, is filled with cybernetics - there's barely anything of his biological body left in there!

One arm is completely cybernetic, the other is normal. His legs, from just below the knee, are cybernetic as well.

"I gave up my flesh for an additional edge," Defiant replies, bringing up his knee in a leaping thrust to throw all of his weight into Alpha's midsection.
Starbound Flotilla     Biteblade draws blood! This plant-person is carnivorous, and their strange biology metabolizes blood and whatever bits of flesh they can get off of Toph immediately, and the successful bite means their arm is restored! They're running out of overall energy, though. Metal is yanked! The knife plunges into their torso, tearing a vicious gash into them, and they don't seem slowed at all! "Floran'sss knife! Augh! Tiny meat girl hasss /magic/." With both arms finally functioning now, the compound bow is what's in their hands now! They... They don't use it ranged at all. They try to slam it into Toph's neck, pin her to the ground, and press her down there. "Floran knowsss how magic worksss. Tradition isss: Hunt, eat heart, get magic. Not how really workss! Won't take heart of meatgirl. Jussst choke a bit, to sssleep! Shhhhhhhh!" What the fuck.

George continues stomping, his intent just being to keep Eryl down. Until he's taken off his feet by a golf-club to the head, stunned, and brained hard through his space helmet. "Wow!" He calls out. "Rude!" He JABS the electrified stun baton from his prone position at Alexis' feet and scrambles back up, trying to get back to Eryl before he properly prepares some other little trick!
Toph Beifong     The bite hurts, and Toph grits her teeth together at the pain. Luckily she can still focus on her bending. The hissing speech is disturbing, and Toph's eyes widen in surprise as she finds herself pushed back to the point where she nearly falls over! It's a really close call, but luckily Toph is steadier than most people with a solid stance. Even with her arm bleeding she grabs at the sides of the compound bow, struggling to keep it from pushing her over.

"... it's not magic... it's /bending/!" Toph winces, then twists her foot. In response the concrete shifts underneath Biteblade, opening up into a five feet deep hole.
Alexis It's not magic! ... though to someone who's not seen pokemon and their often bizarre powers in action it might certainly seem that. What with the glowing auras and flinging around elemental powers. But enough about that. Sanshou is not about to just let her opponent hit and run because they said to stand back... Though in hindsight, she might wish she had. As the Lucario pulls back from the kick and returns her foot to the ground she turns to follow it up with swinging the bone-staff for another blow.

But doesn't quite get there as the strange staff is used and a giant floating eye of some sort of dsitorted horror is brought into play. Slices of some sort of force dig down her arms, the bone-staff disappearing in a flicker of energy motes as Sanshou loses her concentration on it and quickly jerks back away from the magic eye until the cutting sensation goes away.

Her gaze remains narrowed at the eye though. That is still a dangerous obstacle, considering the lack of space fighting indoors.

Indigo flares from her eyes again as the Lucario pulls her arms back to the side, the similar glowing energy starting to gather in between them. It looks like it could be Lucario's trademark move, until instead of throwing the sphere she thrusts her arms palms forward in front of her, and the glow erupts into a stream of energy with a vagely dragonic shape to the leading point of the stream. The Dragon Pulse is aimed at obliterating the lacerating eye before it can cause anyone else trouble, if Seft gets caught in the blast depends on how fast she can run.

At being called rude Alexis just smugly smirks. "Thank you." That's right, she took it as a compliment. "Now how 'bout you just back off and we put this little mess to re--aaaaugh!" Of course she gets jabbed with a taser stick while she's being cocky. The padding she wears for armor abosrbs most of the impact, but it doesn't do much against the electrical discharge and she staggers backwards to half lean against the wall, cussing under her breath.

"Ka?" A pair of black tipped long ears poke out of Alexis' bag. Followed by the rest of the pudgey yellow mouse they belong to as she (you can tell because of the heart-curves shape to the end of her zigzag tail) hops onto Alexis' shoulder ... That and that she's wearing a cute little pink and white frilly dress.

The cute look is gone though when she sees the sparking stick held by George, and realizes what happens. A few sparks arc from the red spots on her cheeks. Then she leaps off Alexis shoulder, and at the mid-air of her jump there's a "Pikachuuuuuuuu!" and a rather large Thunderbolt hurtles at George. See how you like it mister nasty man!

Despite being in momentary pain Alexis still manages to smirk again. "Good to see that frufru dress doesn't hinder your fighting skills any."
Eryl Fairfax      Tricks? Eryl? Well... maybe. He does have a weaponised body, after all. But, he's actually been weirdly... direct this whole fight, engaging in unarmed blows and only firing a shot once. He hasn't even taken off his cloak and thrown a punch, using only kicks. Is he holding back? Or does he not have them?

Either way, he again attacks George very directly. Watching the man as he struggles to get up, he waits for the point where his head is off the ground, then acts. Bending his legs, he jumps, lifting his legs so the knees rest against his chest. As he starts coming back down, he quickly extends them, towards George's head, aiming to use a strong kick, gravity and his own weight to slam his head into the ground!
Alpha Centauri Alpha Centauri's optics narrows slightly at his own scans that show up on his HUD. This would explain a great deal of why the man is resistant. He is an imperfection that is almost-- perfect. When Defiant sends his whole weight into the kick, it makes contact and slams the Accretian back.

The mechanoid slams his backside into a wall and almost clean through it really cause of the weight of mass. He pulls himself out of as he speaks very calmly, "So I see. You have almost reached the peak of perfection-- but you are still limited by being a singularity."

Though they had some distance between them, not much. Alpha Centauri brings the photon rifle to pair. A humming sound could be heard from it as it powers up to its full charge. "I wonder if a near perfect being can be cleansed to correction."

After those word spoken, the photon rifle fires off a beam of energy right for Defiant.
Defiant      "Perfection is overrated," Defiant retorts, well, defiantly, as he takes the beam of energy square in the chest. Defiant stumbles backwards, smoke curling from where the blast had penetrated his armor and burnt through several cybernetic components.

Defiant drops to one knee, although his visor is still firmly fixed in Alpha Centauri's direction, as if glowering at him, provoking him.

Before Alpha Centauri can get off another shot, however, there's the sound of a voice behind him. Canadian, female. "You've won," Dragon says, looking remarkably similar to Defiant in a matching set of green and gold armor, although she wears a jetpack with outstretched wings, like some sort of angel. "Take what you want and go."
Starbound Flotilla     Moonfin is assailed by the wind! He winds up taken off of his feet and slamming hard against the ground and suffering bruising to go with his burns, before... Taking the momentum, and running with it! The others have limited their attention to one, and so Moonfin just sort of BOOKS it! It's DISHONORABLE AS HELL! "All things buried must reach the surface one day. Nothing that lies beneath waves will be undisturbed forever. Also, Pavo will hit me if I don't, and we need it for something." Moonfin, away! He's going to slip back into the foyer! Looks like it was mostly the ego shenanigans that had him engaged directly with the enemy.

Looks like he's after his own objective here, that stuff in the basement! With the others so occupied, Lyria will need to chase instead!
Starbound Flotilla     "Selling? Bilgerat, what do ye think we're here for? Science! Not /sellin'/!" Armor is slagged by the plasma beam. "And really, lad, more important than money? What's more important than /that/?" Unable to maneuver on her own, she drops her sword! And goes for... A grappling hook, drawn from her Matter Manipulator! Instead of shooting Staren herself, she's going to work it over one shoulder and fire it into the foyer! It instantly retracts HARSHLY. The internt, of course, is to SLAM Staren bodily against desks, pillars, doors, whatever she can impact him against, break free, and then run for the downstairs access!
Starbound Flotilla     "We will engage in combat with standard humane battle protocol." Albert says, grunting with apelike tones. He blocks the manhole cover with his rocket launcher, bending it harshly but blunting the impact against his body. "Grrrrhhhhhh..." He seems to be getting more and more frustratedly enraged, now drawing his grenade launcher again and spraying several shots of explosive stun grenade at Brooklyn as he works to get into the building, intending to go to the basement now as well!
Starbound Flotilla     "Floran issss /plant/! Put plant in ground, isss bad idea!" But, wait, they don't come out of the hole in some giant tree form. What just happened? Actually, Toph will be able to FEEL what's happening. The vibration is... Nonsense. Unfamiliar. It's like a million tiny little pickaxes going underground. Oh, the Floran is using their Matter Manipulator to dig the hole even deeper and get down to the storage area belowground more DIRECTLY!
Starbound Flotilla     The eye is dispersed in a huge gush of light, shutting out its strange, glitchy effects for good. What was that? It looked like the robot just cast a magic spell! And then, it's clear that was just meant to buy time. What's left there is Seft's axe, and one entire arm -- shattered by the strike -- and a hole in the structure where Seft began digging underground! Presumably using her superior sensors to focus in on trying to go after that objective of hers. She's completely missing an arm! It looks like she HAS to retreat, as the Lucario seriously outright dismembered her! Thank goodness that's really easy to repair, later.
Toph Beifong     What the crud?! Toph blinks, then frowns when the Floran starts digging its way down into the ground. Okay, even if the basement isn't covered by metal and other tough stuff, even if this plant isn't stopped by sewer and other stuff, she isn't about to just let it get away!

So Toph widens her stands and reaches down to the ground, and the area trembles. "TIME TO GET RID OF SOME WEEDS THEN!" she roars, then throws her arms upwards, upending the entire area and making concrete and earth fly upwards!
Starbound Flotilla     "Alright." George says, muffled through Eryl's boot. "Turnabout's fair, this is pretty much what I did." Eryl managed to slam his head into the ground. It looked PAINFUL! It also has completely crushed his EVA helmet. "I don't know what any of those other noises mean, am I about toAUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHGGGGHHHHHH!!" He's electrocuted! His armor does nothing for this and he winds up kind of spasming for a while. Despite this, he has the presence of mind to try to grab Eryl's foot with one hand and press his stun baton against it with the other, surging electricity out of both his own body and the baton into Eryl! Hopefully!
Staren     Staren blinks. So they want it for themselves? "You won't understand."

The grappling hook is fired, and yanks the two of them... but Staren sees where this is going, and his armor locks in place to keep him from moving and to distribute the impacts. Mega-damage materials are barely scratched by this sort of attack. Staren grunts as he's slammed around -- it's far better than his flesh and bones being broken against obstacles, but he's still getting shaken around!

And that initial yank before his armor froze might have loosened his grip juuuust enough for Pavo to wriggle free with some effort. Staren's certainly distracted!

He unlocks his armor and rises to give chase, holding out his arms and firing again - two beam cannon shots, a salvo of four of the little micromissiles, all that remain in his armor. (He still has a missile pistol in his bag, though)

"If you weren't planning something horrible, stand down and talk out a deal! The /only/ reason you'd need to risk your lives to /take/ it is if you're planning to hurt people!"

He wonders how hard it's going to be to destroy the Flotilla. Part of his mind tries to work it out -- could he sneak a powerful explosive onto one of their ships? But he won't know where they're keeping it. Still... whatever they're using the Endbringer for... his mind races through possibilities. Armor? No... that would cost them nothing to share with the PRT. Cloning? Can they /do/ that? That would be suicide. Are they that stupid? Harnessing its powers as a weapon somehow? If it's a weapon they don't want anyone else in the Multiverse to have, it can't be good. He's missing something, he just knows it...
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason does sense some things in common with the culture of this strang alien fish samurai but she's not about to let that get in th way of stoppoing him but she's not at least overly vicous but she's cleay going to try and stop them but they break off and she's forced to turen and sprint after Moonfin as fast as she can. she's pretty darn agile hopefully she can keep up with im but Remora has to be left behind for her to keep pace.
Alpha Centauri Alpha Centauri steps forward, his weapon trained on Defiant. His finger on the trigger, even as the woman arrives, the Accretian doesn't draw away his weapon from his attended target. He can hear the moderator in his audio receptor. Stick to the mission parameters. There will be another time.

His gold optics flicker and even under the damage he has taken, even as the mech fluid drips down from the cut in his chest and the marks of battle obvious across his form. "And how do I know this is not a trick from a Singularity out to protect another?" The Accretian asks as he steps away and slight back, training his gaze to her, but he weapon stayed on Defiant. "You impure have a tendency to act illogical and treacherous when given the opportunity."

Though he does slowly move himself toward where his original goal was, unsure though if either would try something.
Brooklyn     This dude just loves his explosives. Brooklyn is sort of glad he got that protective vest. And Broadway said it looked stupid. It helps shield him from shrapnel from the explosive grenades, but doesn't much help with the stun grenades, as he covers his face with his arms to try to block the incoming blast.

Recovering from the blast, he looks around for where Albert might have gone, catching a glimpse of the building's door closing, "This guy is gonna run through their security in a heartbeat if I don't get back in there." Brooklyn mutters to himself, as he gets back to his feet and rushes through the door as well, trying to catch Albert in the lobby. He really needs to start carrying a weapon of his own, as he grabs the closest thing to him, which happens to be a potted plant, and hucks it after Albert, "We're not done yet, dude! Get back here so we can settle this!"
Starbound Flotilla     Rocks fly into the air!

Now, Biteblade the Floran doesn't actually KNOW about how Toph sees. They're not privileged with that information. But... When the smashing rocks -- which near about crush the Floran between them, shattering one of their legs and part of their shoulder brutally -- manage to rise up into the air, they do clear the Floran out! ...And put them into the air, where they can leap between rising chunks of Earth! Since the vibrations don't transmit through the ground now... They put their HUNTER skills to work. Leaping between rocks as they rise with their one remaining good leg and arm, they draw their knife again, and try to descend upon Toph from above, with a sudden falling knife strike to the back!

Nonlethal stabbing, of course. It's electric, though! She might still dodge, mostly because the Floran calls out, "Not weedsss! Weedsss don't ssstab! Floran will ssstab!" Does that plant-person even know about Toph's blindness? No, not really.
Eryl Fairfax      Eryl smiles grimly down at George, grinding his heels a little bit. "Indeed, but a word of advice. If you are going to stomp someone when they are down, put your weight behind it. I did, and look at the difference compared to when you did it." Is he seriously lecturing his opponent on battlefield tactics?

But then, the lightning from that strange creature strikes George, and it conducts into Eryl from him! In addition, he takes a shock from George's stun baton too! While his metal limbs are designed to not conduct heat well, electricity is fair game! His body convulses, a strangled yell coming from his throat, but he retains the presence of mind to fall backwards, so he's pinning George with his body still.

"Enough of this..." he mutters darkly, before his cloak billows out from within, revealing his body! It's... a typical humanoid body, clad in a suit.

Complete with his two arms. That end in two fists.

He sits up, putting his weight on George as he starts punching at George's face through his ruined helmet, again and again! Metal fists need to pay heed to sharp shards!
Alexis <Hey, Lex.> Sanshou picks up the axe, holding it so the arm is hanging off the end. <I disarmed this one. Literally.>

Alexis turns her head just enough to look. ".. Good quip, but where's the -rest- of her?"

"..." That's a good point. Discarding the weapon (and arm attatched) Sanshou steeples her forepaws together and closes her eyes, though as she focuses on her aura senses her dreadlock like protrusions start to float a bit around her head. <... There's too many living bodies around, her robotic nature is making her hard to pick out.>

"Well that's just fantastic," Alexis replies sarcasticly. "And by that I mean totally -not- fantastic."

When she realizes George is trying to use the current to zap Eryl as well the Pikachu stops trying to electrocute him. Now that's not playing very nice! Which is what she does precisely. That is, the Pikachu gives the hand holding the baton a little kick, then shakes a forepaw at him and "pika pika pika"-ing in a very tsk tsk manner.

No, she hasn't been in enough multiversal battles to know that debuffing moves like Play Nice don't really work on non-pokemon in non-pokemon battles.

And then Eryl starts just pounding away on George. Well, they don't need to do much else at this point, so she climbs back up onto Alexis' shoulder. "Y'know, I was gonna offer him a bat to use, buuuuut I don't think he needs it."
Toph Beifong     There we go! While Toph can still sense the location of the rocks and gravel that explodes up into the air, she can't sense Biteblade themselves. The blind girl listens for any sign now that the enemy is up in the air, to feel if the earth above her is moving from anything touching it... anything! But it's not enough to give her a clear picture of what is going on above.

But then Biteblade calls out, and she turns, punching out in succession twice in attempt to block the downward descent of the Floran. But her aim is off, and again blood is drawn as the knife sinks into her shoulder. The electricity spreads along her nerves and muscles, causing her to convulse slightly, stumbling and falling back roughly to the ground.
Starbound Flotilla     "Yarharharhar! Ye don't understand much, do ye?" Pavo is still running after wriggling out. "I'm a /pirate/! These folks, they're /police/! There's just some things 'round the world ye /just do/, boy! Aye, it's who we are! Ye scurvey dogs have to stop us! Me mateys have to do what we do, and this bird's gotta fly!" Dashing becomes LEAPING! The birdgirl almost sees to fly! It's a pretty incredible sight. Also, unfortunately, her small amounts of remaining armor don't manage to stop the beams, which stumble her, and the micromissile shots, which she -- god damn it, again! -- cuts three out of the air as she stops for a moment! The fourth hits her dead on, giving her severe burns and some bruising, and ruffling her feathers before she can get going to the downstairs area...

As Staren gives chase, he'll get a very fun, entertaining sight. Going down through the PRT's storage facility is a goldmine for Pavo, but since she can't slow down or else Staren will catch up! And that would be /awful/. So he's certainly denying her a lot of loot here.
Defiant      "Because I'm not lying," Dragon replies evenly. "It wouldn't do my heroic reputation any good if I lied to you and then stabbed you in the back," she says. As Alpha moves away, Dragon slowly moves to kneel down by Defiant, letting him go, letting him retrieve whatever it is he came for.

Damn her need to save human lives beyond all else.
Starbound Flotilla     Moonfin meets up with Pavo, sort of catching up once they're underground after a quick few abuses of his DASH. He's bruised and beaten, and his Shock Katana is looking a little chipped, but he's still in fighting condition. He manages to slip in behind Pavo but ahead of Staren, halting his own dash and cutting off both Lyria and Staren from pursuit. He's not gonna win this confrontation, obviously, he was only holding his own with Lyria, but he's here to buy Pavo time! The shock katana is prepared, dramatically!
Alpha Centauri Alpha Centauri continues to back away. "Good." He says calmly before he turns away from them both.

Once he enters the area, he does not spend much time looting around. The Moderator knew what the Caste was after and what scans possible gave them. It was just relaying back to the Moderators what he was seeing, so that they could determine if that was honestly /what/ they were looking for---

-- or if this whole operation was a bust.

Yet low and behold, there it was. What they have been seeking. A piece of cloning technology. Alpha Centauri carefully went to remove it and gave it only a mild interest look over, before moving it to be stored in one of his compartments...
Starbound Flotilla     The potted plant smashes Albert's head, knocking his helmet off, bruising him, and knocking him onto his hands and knees! With one single, intense POUNDING fist into the ground, he turns around. "Do you do nothing of battle but /COMPLAIN ABOUT IT/?!" He calls out in an enranged sort of tone, leaping apelike on all fours before drawing a fresh hammer -- his original, steel one -- and trying to swing it down overhead onto Brooklyn's head before he can halt his advance. He looks a little angry, though!
Starbound Flotilla     George knows enough ROBUSTING to get out of this situation. A red MEDISTIM is injected into his thigh while he just takes the punches to the face, and then a startling martial reversal! The technique is ACTUALLY used in Robusting when pinned to the ceiling or walls rather than the floot, so Eryl manages to bloody George's face a little, but shortly experiences a sudden reversal of orientation based on a complex flexible leg maneuver around the neck and a sudden twisting motion from George's shoulders, resulting in a strong attempt at a solid throw somehow executed while pinned down! It may sent Eryl crashing brutally onto his back or head, but with good reflexes it won't be too tough to avoid brutal damage and just be moved clear of George.

But, at this stage, George's helmet, torso, and face are all mangled badly by the martial arts and he's clearly lost this fight. "Okay! So I'm gonna go ahead and get out of here because I don't wanna have to escape from a prison again. How's that?" He doesn't wait for an answer. "Alright, peace." Abruptly, he turns into red light and flies up into orbit!
Staren     Staren chases Pavo, and mentally writes her off as clearly not worth talking to. And then he gets a bright idea: Race ahead of her and grab the Endbringer parts himself! Then he can take them to Njorun for safekeeping...

But then he sees how much STUFF is here. And he has NO idea how bad any of it is... Can they afford to let these guys get ANY of it?

The fishman runs in front of Staren. "Die!" Staren fires his beam cannons and draws his beam sabers and just charges straight ahead. He'll make a token swipe to cut the Hylotl down, but he cares more about getting past than fighting.

And on the radio, he asks about the viability of a couple desperation tactics.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason is still hounting after Moonfin but she's a bit behind the other and given the techs that the space fish samurai warrior might have? She might be a bit behind them but she's comming he won't have long before she drops in on them.
Starbound Flotilla     Toph gets stabbed! Biteblade makes sure to keep their knife in just long enough for the taser stun effect to knock her out. "Okay." They say. "Isss done. No heart eating, right? Not bendy magic eating heartsss." Biteblade pats the downed girls' head and then... Hugs her? With one arm. "Good prey! Okay, where isss..." Limping onto one slowly regenerating leg and still unable to use one arm, Biteblade stands above the downed Toph, and tries to figure out what's next. They're the only Starbounder still outside!
Eryl Fairfax      Eryl is pounding away at George's face, the shards tearing gaps into his fake skin a little, when he does... something. Original Face starts trying to compare this manoeuvre to all martial arts he knows, but comes up with nothing. In addition, it's far too practiced to be just George lashing out.

As such, it takes Eryl completely by surprise, and the back of his head does slam hard against the ground when he's flipped! Thankfully, all that brain surgery has left Eryl with a skull full of metal plates to patch the holes, and he landed on one, leaving him only a little rattled.

Luckily, George pulls out rather than push the advantage, so Eryl gets back to his feet and scans the battlefield. A lot of people are still fighting, but Toph is down, and that plant being is standing next to her. Eryl's next objective is clear in his mind: drive him off, and ensure that his ally is not dying.

As such, he points his index fingers towards Biteblade and lets out a volley of shots from 'One Hand Clapping,' the tips of those fingers opening to launch slugs at the Florian. All the while, Eryl is running towards it!
Starbound Flotilla     "Third Sea Hylotl Style: Waves Breaking Against Shores."

One beam is blocked by the blade! The blade half-slags down into melted metal, while the other beam punches through the Hylotl's armor. A leg shoots out, braced against the wall, meant to block Staren's advance past by making him slam his solar plexus into the knee! "Second Sea Hylotl Sty-- AUGH!" There goes that plasma saber through his helmet! He's in pain as it blisters down his face, reducing him to one eye for a moment. "Damnation! Boy, our Avian ally is awful at diplomacy but I thought we had agreements! We are not going to do anything with this that would justify breaking those rules, we're going to /make a table/ out of it." He seems indignant at Staren for breaking the apparently necessary rules here! Lyria is gonna walk in on this and it'll be awkward.

He draws another, regular steel katana. Still taking a defensive stance to cover Pavo's fleeing...
Alpha Centauri Alpha Centauri having what he came for is already making his way back up. The sound of battle does not escape him, nor the fact that his HUD readout alerts him of it as well. Though he was to help the Flotilla with their mission. He /did/ tell them that he was only after one thing and /they/ could have the rest.

He never did say that he remain for the duration of the fight nor did he say how much help he would give. Then one has to look back what he said to Dragon and you realize..

..Alpha Centauri is no better then what he claims people to be and perhaps he knows it--- or doesn't care.

As soon has the Accretian sets outside, he flexes his 'wings' and then radios the Flotilla that remain. >"The rest is yours."< Yep. He was so done and when those thrusters went into full burn. He went straight up into the air and then blasted off into the distance hitting mach speeds on the way out.
Brooklyn     If he had to be honest, Brooklyn would rather not be fighting if he didn't have to. But since Albert is making him fight, he doesn't really have a choice. He can't just lit the guy get whatever he was trying to do, because it could be dangerous.

That hammer does look dangerous, though. Brooklyn is going to have to try to dodge that, diving and rolling to the side to keep himself from getting smashed. He tries to swing his tail out to grab the hammer and either yank it out of Albert's hands, or at least yank Albert off of balance so he can follow it up with a kick to the Apex's chest.
Alexis "Dammit!" Alexis cusses as Toph is downed, and by the sound of the radio, Defiant as well. "Stay with her." Though it's not really clear if she's talking to her pokemon, or Eryl, or both. As she does she slips the golf club into her bag. Dang the whole 'nonlethal' thing this world has, because as much as she'd love to pull out the Claymore, she doesn't want to incurr the wrath of a bunch of Capes later.

So instead she pulls out two shorter blades. That of their own accord wrap the banners bound to their hilts around her arms and the eye in each crossbar opens up, revealing their supernatural nature.

Doublade. The Sword Pokemon. More accurately, it's middle stage of evolution, being -two- ghost swords.

"Hey, dickweed." Alexis throws a suitable wordplay namecalling in there as she makes a slow stride towards Biteblade. Partially because it looks intimidating and badass, and partially because she doesn't want to get in the way of Eryl shooting. "Y'know the nonlethal rule?" She steps in as Eryl finishes and swings one of the sword-mon at the Floran in a heafty slash.

Though the Doublade, being a ghost type, partially dematerializes itself, so the slash will pass -through- Biteblade if it hits. It's still going to hurt like hell, but the specific technique isn't lethal and leaves the victim with at least a small portion of their health to avoid it.

"False Swipe, biatch!"
Starbound Flotilla     "Okay! Ow! Metal and weird prey girl winsss! Ow ow ow!" The Floran is shot several times! And then, False Swipe overwhelms their senses, knocking them to the ground and leaving them without a horrible dismembering! Since, you know, they would have been completely bisected, otherwise. The emergency teleporter goes off for them too, sending them back up to their ship in a big column of red light, way back up to their ship!
Staren     Observant listeners on the radio may wonder how Staren is able to talk while running around and fighting. In truth, he's not talking -- he thinks abbreviated messages to his support AI, which strings them into sentences using heuristics to sound like something he would say, and then synthesizes his voice and transmits that.

"Oof!" Staren grunts as Moonfin's knee stops him in his tracks, cracking and denting armor. But he retains the presense of mind to stab the Hylotl in the face!

Only to be told something that leaves him stunned. He pulls out his weapon. A /table/? What? He just stands there and stares at Moonfin for a vital moment. Then shakes his head subtly. "Noone's that dumb." His wings manifest and he uses them to put on a burst of speed, trying to tackle Moonfin to the floor and then leap off of and past him! "Nice stalling attempt, though!" Of course, Staren hasn't had to fight a lot of trained martial artists like this, so he's focusing on getting in close to stop the Hylotl from using the /sword/. And he just got kneed, too! Well, his mind is on other things.
Eryl Fairfax      Eryl breathes a sigh of relief as Biteblade warps back to his ship. No one else seems to be around, so he kneels down to start administering first-aid to Toph. The wound doesn't seem too deep, but he takes off his tie and starts applying it as a makeshift bandage to cover her wound, then putting her in a recovery position.

Bowing his head to Alexis, he offers a tight smile. "Good working with you. But it seems that the fight at street-level is over. I leave Toph to you." He starts following the trail left by Staren, into the PRT storage room! He doesn't make any attacks though, scanning the area before moving in to assist, if any is needed.
Starbound Flotilla     Albert is yanked off-balance, unable to fight quite as intelligently because of his frustration! And then he's kicked! He's an ape, and apes are... Surprisingly light! Brooklyn kicks him elsewhere, and he goes sliding, sliding, and-- Wait, did he just disappear?!

He fell in a hole someone else started digging. There's a lot of wrecked stuff around the place he disappeared, and scorch and cut marks from something that happened earlier, as well as a dismembered robot limb. Wait, what?
Starbound Flotilla     Staren approaches! Running in close on a trained sword wielder is a bad idea, as it turns out! The fishman is extremely used to using his katanas for unusual defense! "Sixth Sea Hylotl Style: The Boat and the Reef." This sacrifices his backup katana as well, possibly. The technique is meant to force an attacker to suffer self-damage if they continue an advance! Staren will have enough time to abort his efforts to get past Moonfin, but if he DOESN'T abort the tackle, the blade has been maneuvered such that it will try to dramatically pierce the armor -- as you know, glorious hylotl steel is folded enough to have arbitrary piercing in dramatic moments -- and also break the blade off, lodging it in Staren in an impaling thing. Looks like Moonfin himself is escalating out of the shock weapons too!

That doesn't matter too much, though. A one-armed Glitch kicks open a ceiling tile several yards down. "Panicked. We must flee now." A monotoned robot's feminine voice can be heard from the ceiling! And Pavo is coming back this way from the end of that hallway. Let's hope nobody went down under that hole in the ceiling. If Staren or Lyria did, they're about to get hit by several pounds of extremely angry ape in a commando outfit, yelling.
Alexis Alexis gives one of the swords a fancy twirl as Biteblade beams out. "And they said False Swipe wouldn't be useful anymore." Then she lets go, both swords unwinding their banners and floating back into her bag. "Com'n you two." "Lucario?" <The robot?> "Forget it. If she didn't run away, she's just gonna run into everyone else gathering downstairs."

Being the tough tomboy she herself is Alexis has little trouble picking Toph up and slinging her into a fireman's carry. "Tell Glitch to bring the bike back around. Good thing we brought the sidecar."
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason is finally able to catch up and comes into the fight with Moonfin and Staren, she can't use her Geomancy for fear of hitting Staren or doing possibly worse damage to the base. SO she's going to go in with her cutlass and try to get their attention. She's not honorless so eshe calls out.

"I found you! Did you thnk you could get away so easily?!"

She then jumps into the battle making good her attack.

No she's not gone down in that hole thankfully because it would turn into a need for an ape escape.
Starbound Flotilla     Unfortunately, the defensive maneuver can only be used on one attacker at a time! Doing this at Staren has left the Hylotl open to Lyria's attack, which plunges the blade through his armor and into his flesh. "AUGH! Does nobody have the simple technology of /stun swords/?" He speaks up in an egotistical tone. He's going to have to LEAVE NOW, it seems! Doesn't look like he can take much more punishment!
Staren     Staren is in high tech armor! There's no way some metal /sword/ can *SHNK*

Staren might succeed in the tackle by sheer momentum, but he's not persuing Pavo. The pain is intense, although it starts to dull quickly thanks to his medichines -- he's left staring down in shock at the blade sticking into him. That shouldn't be possible! That shouldn't be possible!

When the pain dulls enough for him to move, he tries to get up, but there's a blade /in/ him that starts to cut again, and it kind of hurts to breathe.

He can still talk through his armor's speakers, though: "You wouldn't do all this for a table. We will find you, and stop you!"

After a few seconds of planning his next course of action, he teleports back to the gate.

    He still can't stand.

After likely injuring himself further trying, he partially activates his armor's release, allowing him to remove part of the chestplate, and then pull the blade out. There's a lot of blood. How much consciousness does he have? He's not sure. No time to think about it. Chestplate back on. The power armor's strength assist helps. It hurts a bit less now as he drags himself to his feet and slowly walks into the warpgate. Oh right, the medichines will stop the bleeding. That's good.

The mecha will be remotely piloted back through the gate once Staren's reached the safety of his healing vat.
Starbound Flotilla     "Yarharhar! Ye sorely underestimate a pirate's taste for furniture, scurvey lad! Now avast, mateys, we be leavin'!" The sprawled Apex at the bottom of the hole is grabbed in one hand, still frustratedly yelling something about metal, and then fires her grappling hook up the hole! Hopefully Brooklyn doesn't check out the hole, 'cause that hook will hit him and latch onto him if he does! The tackled, wounded fishman manages to scramble away and grab onto the apex's ankles, and then the Glitch onto his!

Brooklyn may be witness to a surreal event where a monkey fell into the hole, and then a bird linked with the monkey, a fishman, and a one-armed robot all suddenly emerge and try to book it past and out the exit, where they intend to beam their way into the sky!

That was all a little silly.
Eryl Fairfax      Eryl rubs his chin as he scans the scene. Staren is retreating, but his opponent has warped out. The robotic woman is advising retreat, and it seems everyone is heading that advice. With a tired sigh, he dusts his hands and stretches.

"I think... it's over. Status report?" he says over the radio.
