Rhapsody     Welcome to the Third Randomly Held Yet Somehow Annual Izzet League Presentation Day!

Unlike in previous years, where Niv-Mizzet himself had the entirety of the Izzet League filter through his lair high utop Nivix, Rhapsody has decided to make it far more interesting! Today, as anyone comes into the Izzet Quarter and draws near the spire, they would find that the magewrights of the Izzet League all have their own places. Booths, tables, desks, workshops, or other manner of thing to display a project can be found all around, and even within the foyer, of Nivix. Its more like a super-massive science fair than it is a series of presentations. As the day has progressed, the Guildmaster has made her way around from one table to the next, seeing what the League has put on display. However, a stage -has- been setup inside Nivix, infront of the elevator, where anyone that wants to put on a presentation of their project will be allowed to do so!

Rizix, a goblin that had served Niv for years, and now serves Rhapsody, has the illustrious duty of handing out numbers! And yes, if you take a number, you will get your turn, in order! So. If you want a number? Go get it from the goblin. He may or may not be grumpy! Much like a certain cat on the Ravnican News Networks. No not that cat. A different cat. This isn't the city of memes, after all.
Seto Kaiba      Kaiba Corp, of course, has seen to ensuring that they have a booth set up. And, while it is hard to set up a booth that would draw attention amongst all of the other booths? Kaiba Corp is doing its best. Three large dragon shaped machines surround the booth, each one akin to the Blue-Eyes. They're mostly just advanced animatronics, for show. The booth itself has a number of high tech games set up. Most of them are akin to normal real world games, but with tiny holographic projectors in them.

Mokuba is, currently, manning the booth. Seto himself hasn't shown up. Or at least, he hasn't shown himself /quite/ yet.

Because he is currently arriving outside the tower, in his Blue-Eyes White Dragon Jet. It lands, and he effortlessly leaps out. In his right hand is a briefcase. On his left arm? A duel disk. Shortly after his arrival, a number of Kaiba Corp emploeyees arrive as well, each of them holding large metal briefcases as well.

Kaiba barely even glances around as he heads inside. Once he is in, though? He heads to the main stage. Waiting for his own time for a presentation.

     He mutters to himself.

"This better be worth my time."

This isn't intended to be heard. But, really. While he is coming here of his own choice? He has a specific intent here. And he will be very annoyed if things don't work out. But, even then... At the least, he'll have a chance to show off to a world connected to the Planeswalkers and the Deckmasters.

He /really/ wants to outshine the Deckmasters for some reason.
Corona Arclite Wandering around is a silver pelt foxgirl dressed like a country western crashed through a cosplay convention and then the prop department of a 60s sci-fi series. That's okay, by this point Corona has just accepted that she stands out no matter where she goes outside of Brimsteel and that is that. Unsurprisingly she keeps getting distracted by various stalls she passes, so it takes her a while to actually get to where she's suppose to be going.

Grumpy goblin need something to be grumpy about? We've got that too. Corona is anything but quiet. Bronze and copper detailings on her clothing, several tools hanging from her belts, and of course she's got spurs on her cowboy boots. If that's not enough, there's the old fashioned copper framed steamer trunk she's pulling behind her on a luggage dolly that squeak-squeaks at a certain point in every revolution of the wheels. "Hey! Hey you! Ya the one handin' out the demo passes or whatever for this shinding?"
Staren     Staren... doesn't seem to be here. But there is a a stone golem, a rough humanoid figure about ten feet tall, wearing an appropriately-sized labcoat, a utility belt, and Staren's usual messenger bag slung over its shoulder, although at this scale is starts to look like a large purse. The golem approaches the goblin, leaning over Corona. "I'll take a number, please." it rumbles, and holds out a hand expectantly.
Iria     It may seem strange to see Iria arriving wearing her cape, but that's just how she is sometimes. She walks in with a rather neutral expression on her face, stopping occasionally to look at some of the attractions that are already there. Iria nods at a few of them, seeming to show interest in some of them, before continuing to make her entry into the actual convention.

Then Iria spots Rizix, and she stops to ask for a number politely, while explaining that Kei had already helped set up her booth in advance. "I'll take a number, please?" She says to Rizix, not letting his grumpiness get to her.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason is not very well known in the multivers however after looking up this world and this guild? If she can get notice here it would go a heck of a long way to boosting her overall reputation. She was excited she was prepared however, her creations followed along the snake like remora, the spider bots cinging on to the larger drone as they took in the city. She smiles a little bit as she looks to the goblin.

"Good day sir I'd like to get my number if that wouldn't be too much of a problem."

She's polite and her drones are behving for the most part, for /now/.
Theo Morrison Presentation Day in Ravnica? Sure, why not. Theo's got nothing better to do, and when do you get the chance to show off a whole lot of nonsense to a bunch of wizards?

Theo is here with Kickotron. He's got a bunch of covered wagons -- that is to say, wagons covered by tarps, not the colonial type. They've got Things and Stuff. He is patiently waiting for a chance to present his... things. And stuff. Mostly stuff.

Kickotron is carrying a bag. It does not look impressed.
Rhapsody     Yes. Booths. Booths as far as the eye can see! Well, maybe not that far, but certainly enough to get a little lost around if it weren't for all the Magewrights, Goblins, and Weirds that are wandering about, willing to give instruction. Problem is? The goblin instructions will probably be wrong and the Weirds instructions just sound like water boiling or running over rocks, so.... best to ask a magewright if needed.

A jet? Landing outside Nivix? Easily done. Probably flanked by dragonauts as it flies in, for the sake of safety, but once its down they'd be back into the sky. These folks are probably the security for the whole event. There are a LOT flying around up above. Kaiba's booth actually draws a LOT of attention, but Mokuba would get a lot of comments like: "You know those robots don't look like the Guildmaster at all." Don't bother trying to explain they aren't her, it's Ravnica. It's going to be the common assumption! When one of the 'goons' takes a number, it wouldn't appear they got a number at all! The paper would say, on the back, "You'll know when," and nothing more. How very odd.

The Foxgirl wandering about the booths would blend in very well considering the steampunky-tech she has going on. She may even find some of the booths interesting considering steam-powered gear is a tech that the Izzet seem to enjoy, though not often employed. When Coronoa gets her number, she would find her bit of paper says the same thing. Its the Izzet, after all, it wouldn't be very izzet if it wasn't random, somehow.

The sight of a huge stone person... thing, causes Rizix to snort, but he offers up a number all the same. "Couldn't ya have made it outa rock AND somethin else!?" he grouses, seemingly not very impressed. Its hard to tell with that one. He's been around forever. He's seen a lot. And a lot more.

Iria, though, is a familiar face. Rizix's grump seems to lessen a little at the sight of someone that had helped the city 4 times before. A number is offered up to her in the same manner as the others. It still says the same thing on the back. Izzet, eh?

The grump seems to return when Lyria arrives for a number. For a second, the little device Rizix is using seems to jam. In a fluster, he actually throws it down, jumps on it a few times, kicks it into a Weird who then kicks it back. Suddenly as 'calm' as he was before it broke, the Goblin picks it up, it produces a number, and he goes back to looking for anyone else that wants one.

The train of wagons, with a Planeswalker leading them, gets a wary eye from the Goblin, though, seeing as Theo is 'like Niv' the goblin actually goes over to the man, shoves a number at him, and wanders off again. Sure, the goblin is assuming Theo was going to show something, but is he wrong? IS HE? Well that's up to Theo, isn't it?

With a lot of numbers handed out, a long GONG goes off. As it does, Rhapsody wanders up onto the stage to a lot of applause and the like. "ALRIGHT!" she starts off, voice amplified by some invisible spell thats acting like a microphone. "A lot of you have bits of paper! We are going to draw the first presenter right now. Everyone have a look at those papers!" And the first presenter is...
Rhapsody The guildmaster actually reaches over to a little portal on one side of the stage and then tugs something out. Corona would find her paper has, strangely enough, vanished. However, it seems Rhapsody is holding it, and it has the Foxgirl's picture on it now, "This person!"
Seto Kaiba      Kaiba was going to just quietly watch until his turn.

     And then he sees Theo.

     A smirk.

"Let me guess. You've brought a paper mache volcano?"
Alvira     Wagner Industries, in fact, does have a presence here but not in the form of a booth or a presented invention. New to multiverse at large, there is still a considerable amount of back and forth going through corporate and the "customers" to determine what would be appropriate to show at trade shows or fairs.

Despite that, the CEO of the company, Alvira, does stalk the hall, wandering around and examining the various displayed technologies with mild interest.
Theo Morrison "Totally," Theo replies to Kaiba, straight-faced. "Kickotron here was going to setup the baking soda and pour the vinegar, but you can if you want. It'll go pretty well with all that salt you're doling out."
Shigure     Chitose comes striding in, checking her rigging before approaching the 'Number Booth' whatsit. "Hey there. Could I get a number?" she asks the person behind the counter. She likely asked someone on the way in what this hoohay was all about.

Shigure and Nowaki file in not far behind Chitose, ushered by Kuma who keeps reassuring the taller black-haired destroyer. "C'mon, it'll be fun, kuma~! Besides, we've got some time before we need to go out on patrol again, kuma!"

The Fifth Force Recon fleet has arrived, and they're kinda clustered around the Presentation Desk, place... all of them wearing their equipment rigging.
Rhapsody So busy, today! When Chitose wanders over for a 'number', the goblin provides one! Its the same as it has been for everyone else though. No number, and on the back it just says 'you'll know when'. Though, after Rhapsody's display, its clear just how this will work, now.
Seto Kaiba      A small chuckle comes from Kaiba. He turns his nose up towards Theo a bit. Not overly or dramatically so. Just a small amount of tilting his head up.

"Well. It's good to know that you realize you couldn't even do something so simple without /my/ help, but I'd rather just watch you botch whatever it is you're up to."
Staren     The golem stares back at the goblin, stone-faced. "The golem's appearance is not the project. But I will keep that in mind for future presentations." He chuckles at Theo's comment.
Iria     As Iria arrives at her booth, she is greeted by a happy looking Kei, who has finished setting things up for her. Iria grins at Kei before taking off her cape and setting it to the side in her booth. She then steps inside to check over a few things before looking back to Kei and giving her a nod. "You did well setting things up. Hopefully this will go quite well."

"I'm glad I had the chance to help Iria," Kei replies.

When the first number is drawn, Iria turns her attention towards the stage, looking at it rather intently. "I wonder what we'll see first," She comments to Kei."
Theo Morrison "Nah, I just thought I'd be polite and give you a chance to do something yourself tonight." Theo shrugs and pockets the not-a-number.

Kickotron rummages through the bag.
Corona Arclite If anything seeing a few steampunk-like things here and there only steadied Corona's internal worries, considering she's seen everything from inside computer worlds to depths of space far beyond what Brimsteel could reach right now. To see that it's not entirely out of place here, that's reassuring. She gets her number, stops to lean on her trunk, and then nearly falls off of it when she realizes her number was now! Oh bother, she yanks the trunk back onto its wheels and hustles it, taking a few tries to haul the thing up onto the stage and into the center of it, where it lands flat on its bottom with a THUNK that's sure to get a lot of attention.

"Well, I ain't much the talkin' type, so I'll keep this short. Name's Corona. Corona Arclite." She pauses briefly to tip her hat off her head in a proper greeting. "And today I give you." She turns and kicks the trunk, which causes it to open. And then to some degree transformer, practically turning itself inside out as various working mechanics lock into place, some pipes rise out of it and start smoking lightly, and what looks like a minature display area in the center. Corona grabs one of the revealed levers and pulls it down, and as the steampipes hiss and the mechanics click-clack to life almost sounds like "The automatronic choreographizer! This ain't pre-set, folks. This thing takes what plays on it, and, well." oh no that actually is music the contraption is playing. Corona grabs another lever with a giggle and pulls it down. "You'll see!"

o/~ In this world there is evil! Murderers and thieves! o/~
As the music plays the machinery pops up shadowy flats in the display area, then they move around threateningly and change as the lyrics go. Looking closely though, one can see that it's not just a preset bunch of puppet-like clockworks, they are actually being formed and moved to accord with the music, by the machine itself.her/~Reprehensible scoundrels, doing anything they please.
But though these villains are heartless, and they show no remorse.
Out to the west is a hero o/~ A giant mechanial horse head pops up behind the forms and blasts them all over with steam from it's nostrils. o/~ On his giant iron horse!

It switchs to a mockup of the giant robotic horse running in front of a sunset.
o/~ He rides valiantly through the desert, And he fights corruption everywhere o/~
The masked steampunk cowboy puppet shoots more badguy pop ups with a tiny popgun as they bounch around.
o/~ At night in a blaze of glory
He comes into town and he takes them down
Then rides off into the cold night air! o/~

It's like watching a musical puppet show generated on the spot by musical steampunk anamatronics.
Seto Kaiba      Kaiba just stares blankly at the performance. Though he is ont one to show it, it actually impressed him a minor bit. It's not something that he really /cares/ for, but. Creating a device that automatically makes music and a show, without being preprogrammed? If that's true, well, it's a fairly impressive peace of technology.

It's just... the actual presentation, the song, and the show that it is making aren't very good.

He just gives three slow claps at the end of it, that come out rather sarcastic and snarky.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason pauses at Theo's words to Kaiba and she tries to not laugh, it was a very good burn, but she sounds almost like she's choking as she attempt to stifle it. She accepts the number from the golbing anad is ready now. She listens up as they start to draw the numbers and she waits to see. She looks ahead with intrest as shw aits, who knows how this is going to work out but she's making the attempt because nothing will happen for her reptuation if she does not take her shot.
Rhapsody Well doesn't that just beat all? As Corona moves onto the stage and begins to present, Rhapsody and her siblings slip off to one side to observe the presentation. Ryxinel, especially, seems to approve of Corona's garb as well as her incredible transforming trunk! However, when she reveals what it is, and the music starts? Well, it looks like Rhapsody AND Ryxinel are loving it, a lot. Sidonia may seem indifferent but for anyone that has met the second sister, they'd know that's just how she is at times.

Once it's done, there's a fair amount of applause from the crowd! While it may not be entirely something that can better the city, it still makes for a good bit of entertainment, so, its fine!

When it's done, Rhapsody would slip back up onto the stage again, "Excellent show!" Then to the crowd, "Just a note to anyone that thinks 'well what was that all about?' Well! Its PRESENTATION day, and it was a presentation! While the Izzet League will be watching for projects that can better the city, or the guild, over all, tonight you will all be entertained, enraptured, or simply impressed by anything on this stage." Then the *GONG* goes off, "Time for the next entrant!" Back to the portal, she reaches in...
Staren     Staren watches with interest. Last time, he came completely unprepared -- this time, he at least could think of recent projects to present. So why not that he was able to put himself in a golem body? Of course, now he's going to have to awkwardly /explain/ that to anyone he talks to before his presentation. Sigh.

Corona's project is intriguing. It's /making/ clockworks, on the fly, to suit the song in real-time? That's impressive! He claps, then quiets down to let the song finish.
Rhapsody When her arm comes out this time, she isn't holding a bit of paper. Instead, wherever Iria is, her bit of paper just caught fire. "A familiar face! Honorary member of the Izzet League, and one of the few that were at the Cauldron! Iria, you're up!"
Theo Morrison Theo applauds. That was actually pretty cool. His is /not/ sarcastic, because he actually likes neat stuff like that, rather than being a soulless gaming dragon-hoarder.

Even his inner monologue is anti-Kaiba.
Alvira     Alvira also politely claps though she herself didn't really much care for that particular style of music. As an engineer, she can appreciate the mechanics behind that kind of construct, ESPECIALLY since as Corona noted that they were self assembling, to a degree.
Corona Arclite The contraption doesn't miss a beat, even segaying into the slow, somber point of the song, and then flying right back into the high tempo finish without a skip. Then once it's done it folds itself right back up into a trunk, and Corona gives the applauding crowd one more tip of her hat in appreciation as she grabs the handle, and pulls it off the stage.

If anyone was to ask her, Corona has plenty of ideas on how it could be used. But this was suppose to be a -presentation-, just like Rhapsody said, so she presented it in a much more spectacular fashion. Folks tended to respond better to things that dazzled them with the idea first, she'd learned that from experience.

Not that Corona gets too far from getting off the stage when she catchs sight of Ryxinel. The foxgirl just stops right there dead in her tracks, craning her head back and grabbing her hat by the brim to lift it back so she can see clearly, eyes wide. "Oh my steam and sprockets...."
Iria     Iria's watching what's going on, and even smirking a little at this whole show. This is going to be quite fun after all. Then, when it's all over, she applauds a little with a smirk. "Looks like it's a good thing we came after all," Iria says to Kei with a grin.

    "You said it, Iria!"

Then the numbers are drawn... and Iria's chosen! She's caught off-guard a little by this, but she simply shrugs and walks up onto the stage with her contraption. She sets it down on a table and looks to everyone in the audience. "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much for having me. Now I'm proud to present to you one of the greatest inventions on Myce. One that will make everyone's life easier night and day!" With that, Iria spins around her contraption. It looks simple enough, until Iria says, "Ever had a time where you wanted a pizza but you didn't have the money? Or your favorite place wasn't open? Well, not anymore!"

At that, Kei comes up on stage with a tray containing dough, sauce, and cheese. "All you need to do is put the ingredients in here," Iria says as she opens the top of the contraption and puts the ingredients in one at a time. "Then, you can choose how well done you want your pizza, how big you want it, and then with a press of this button, it's all mixed together!" Iria presses the button and there's the sound of mechanical workings for a few minutes. Then, Iria opens the front of the contraption and produces a fully made pizza. "Voila, instant pizza!" She takes a slice and munches on it. "This will be a blessing for families who are busy, partiers who need food fast, and college students who need food while they study!" She gestures for Kei to come over and take a bow with her. "Thank you everyone!"
Staren     Next is an /instant pizza machine/. Which... well, he can appreciate the skill and work put into it, even if it's only a small subset of what the food generation tech /he/ has access to can do. Besides, he didn't /make/ it.

He claps, but less enthusiastically than for Corona's self-assembling clockworks.
Rhapsody     The first brother blinks a little when Cornoa seems to be rather impressed by the red dragon's appearence here at the event. "That was very entertaining! Its been a long time since someone has put up something so... industrial! Can it be used any other way?" That's not the only question the red would ask, he'd be rapid-firing the questions.

As Iria presents, Rhapsody's finding herself suddenly hungry for a pizza. HOW CONVENIENT. "Good show!" she calls out, possibly snatching a slice if the pizza is left unattended, taking a bite, and then giving an approving nod, "And it even tastes fine!" she calls, getting a few claps and even a little laughter out of the crowd. "With as fast paced as Ravnica tends to be, something like that would be great! Have your pizza, burrito, sandwhich, or anything else made in an instant? Sign me up!" She kinda sounds like Billy Mayes, the way she's approving of some of the projects.
    *GOOOOONG*

"Alright! Lets see who gets to come up and show their stuff next. One second!" she calls. She returns to the portal, reaches in, aaaaand...
Rhapsody ...then pulls it back out again! Oddly enough, Staren's bit of paper just started glowing. Is it radioactive?! Nah. .. Hopefully.. Probably not? "Staren! .. I don't see'm though.."
Black Arachnia A voice rises from around the level of the ground, accompanied quietly by the sound of skittering. "Pardon me, coming through ..."

Arachnophobia check time! Black Arachnia's making her way along one of the 'roads' between booths, and she's got company: about a dozen spider-drones, looking vaguely like oversized Christmas tree lights on eight-legged blocky bodies. Fortunately, the drones don't look THAT much like actual spiders beyond the four-pairs-of-legs arrangement that lets them get around. Black Arachnia herself, though, makes up for it: not only does she look very much like a spider, but she's huge - about seven or eight feet long in her beast mode, which she's currently in.

There also seem to be some technical difficulties, as she keeps having to double back and chivvy an errant drone back into line. Clearly this is not up to her regular rigorous standards - but she felt like showing off, which is actually rather unlike her. She'd rather demonstrate a completed product, but this was kind of on the spur of the moment.

Which also means no, she doesn't have a booth.
Staren     The golem retrieves some rolls of wire mesh previously stashed, and approaches the stage. He sets it down, turns to them, and spreads his arms. "Friends! Izzet! Gathered enthusiasts of science and explosions! I have temporarily transferred myself into a golem body! Quicker to create than a clone, and cheaper and less prone to break than a robot! Easily scaled to different shapes, sizes, forms! Mostly, I just wanted to see if I could, but it might be able to help others as well." He begins unrolling and positioning the mesh to put a cylindrical cage around himself. "I will now prove that this isn't a trick! By the way, it doesn't have to look like this. I just figured this appearance would scream 'golem', you know? There." He spins around once, gesturing at the mesh. "A faraday cage! This is not a machine being remote-controlled by myself hiding in the audience! Nor is this a robot wearing a stone-looking exterior... observe how the stone deforms around the joints, rather than behaving like plating! And it is true stone. Observe!" He draws a knife from his belt and takes a few stabs and slashes at his other arm, producing sparks. "Nor is this some other supertough material." He drops the knife, and draws his beam saber, holding it juuust touching the opposite arm, the area immediately around it heating, slowly glowing red, then beginning to become molten before he pulls it away. "Hmm. It's kind of unnerving that that doesn't hurt..." he mutters, "See? Stone!" He takes down the cage. "I look forward to seeing future developments in golemancy and other areas of science and technology! Thank you!" He heads down off the stage. He'd have had some of his other golems launch fireworks, but that doesn't really work inside. Oh well!
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite coughs a few times as she realizes she's gawking. "Apologies sir, never seen something much the likes of you where I'm from." Don't mind her having to look up so far, she's short and she's use to it. Asking about her contraption helps to snap her out of the staring too. And maybe hide a bit of her embarassment as she turns her head to glance back at it. "Well, to be honest with ya, it's still pretty prototypic. Voice and music is the only input I've been able to get the adaptational gearing and processing to respond to fully yet. But if it could alter itself based on what's around it, you'd have a might fine machine that could be what it needs to be, when it needs to be it."

She looks up, not to the red, but to the other things going on. "I know folks 'round here got magic, and stuff that would be considered 'advanced' and 'fancy' and.. y'know. Multiverse and all that." Corona pauses to blow a whistle of appreciation for Iria's instant-pizza-oven, then turns her attention back to Ryxinel. "But there's worlds out there, mine and others, that can't always -afford- that. This," she leans back to pat the trunk. "Other than the calculating response mechanism, can be built outta almost anything. And with no electronics, it ain't gonna suffer things like, y'know, no electricity. Or those EE-EM-PEE things folks have mentioned.... Whu?"

Her attention snaps back to the stage again. Did he just make a himself a body out of something WITHOUT machinery?
Seto Kaiba      Kaiba just stares forward. Golem bodies that you could transfer yourself into? Though Kaiba knows he has the potential to do things like that, well. He sees little use in this technology. Or at least, little use for using it on himself. After all, he is already perfect. A golem body is simply redundant.

He could think of a few lunatic serial killers he could put in golem bodies, though.

...But, for now, he just watches quietly. He might have to contact Staren about this whole 'putting minds in other bodies' thing. It might be a way to seperate Yugi from... his other self. Heck, maybe he could use it to seal Yugi inside a virtual world prison and-- no. That's just stupid.

Still, though, he ponders the practical applications of this while remaining with a poker face. He doesn't want to show interest in this, in case someone realizes it and decides 'let's make sure Kaiba stays far away from this'.
Iria     There's plenty of pizza left for Rhapsody, and Iria and Kei step down and go back to their booth, both grinning at one another. After that, they both sit back and watch what comes up on the stage next. "I'd say we did a pretty good job, don't you Kei?" Iria asks.

    "Definitely, Iria!"
Rhapsody A sincere nod is given by Ryxinel to Corona's thoughts, "No no, I agree! Not everyone is as capable of using magic as everyone else! Sometimes non-magic alternatives are required! I think your device has a lot of promise, to be sure. I'll see if I can get you some resources, if you want. I think it'll work out pretty well!" Seems Corona has made quite the impression!

Meanwhile, Staren proves that, his invention is, in fact, a golem, and little else. There's still applause from the crowd in regards to it. Rizix looks -entirely- unimpressed where he is on the side of the stage. Sure, the Izzet League has its weirds, but new types of elementals never hurt! Rhapsody is pretty sure they've never made a pure stone one. They always mix and match elements... without the matching part! "Thank you, Staren! I think perhaps trying to make a weird or two out of one element could be something different! Hard to say, we like trying to mix things that don't get along, you know? I remember, once, a magewright tried to make an oil and water weird. It didn't work so well, though," she notes as she wanders back onto the stage. "A lot of interesting presentations so far! Time for another one, right?"
    *GOOOOOOOOOOOOONG*

Without another word, the guildmaster reaches for the portal again. "Next up... iiiiis...."
Shigure     The Fifth Force Recon fleet watch the presentations. Chitose claps, while Shigure tries to keep herself partly hidden behind her. Nowaki just sighs softly, adjusting her turrets a little in preparation, while Kuma just stares at the Instant Pizza machine with giant sparkling eyes. "Oooh, I wish we could have one of those for the base, kuma~!"
Rhapsody And now? A certain planeswalker's paper just froze over itself. "Theo! Haven't seen you in a while, but its nice to have you back around! Show us what you brought.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite hhms. She's got no interest in putting her brain in a fake body, even temporarily. But she can see how easy access to a mobile alternate form like that could be useful to people. Wonder if he can make one out of more than just rock. Maybe she'll ask him, just for her own curiousity.

Right now however Ryxinel has most of her attention, though she shifts her position so she can see the stage a bit more easily while still talking to the dragon. "That would be might kindly of ya. Every little bit helps. Some of us ain't got the big businesses and bankrolls behind us just to try and make things a wee bit better for folks. When I heard you folks round here do this because ya the sort that like tinkerin' and occasionally blowin' things up for a city's good thought it'd do right to mosey over. Kinda do the same thing myself back home, after all."
Staren     Staren-golem nods to Rhapsody on his way down, and pauses to consider this. "I'm not really sure what the difference is between a weird and a golem. Different things for me to work with is problematic -- I could use metal, or wood or earth... but not fire or water or the like. Constructing a construct out of such unstable materials requires different techniques, which I don't know. Um... if it's any consolation, magic and technology were combined to produce this?"

Theo's up next! "Theo! Yeeeeah!" Staren cheers preemtively!
Rhapsody The guildmaster nods toward Stone-Staren, "Well, sure! Its all a matter of what you want to use. Weirds are Weirds typically because they are made of elements that usually oppose one another Steamcores are the best example. Watery body, fiery core."
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason is watching th3e whole affair with a great deal of enjoyment however what Staren has done leaves her unsettled, given how her world workd ya that's pretty skeevy /at/ best however she knows he's an extraveral but it doesn't change the creeping horror in the back of her mind. She does not however voice this she's bot about to ruin his day right?
Theo Morrison "Huh. That's ominous," Theo mutters, looking at the frozen ticket.

Theo takes his turn. Kickotron goes on up with the carts of stuff, putting them in a row at the edge of it. Theo takes center-stage, raising a hand in a wave. He's wearing the new Izzet signet prominently, as if he needed more rep with them or something.

"Hi. I'm Theo Morrison, Planeswalker, presenting... well, you'll see. I thought it was pretty cool. I need just a minute to setup, so --" He holds his hands out palms forward for a second, and then pulls out a deck. "I figured that you guys wouldn't mind a little magic, on account of Magewright being an actual Izzet title and all."

Kickotron doesn't hold up the typical table. Theo pulls out a compact folding one instead, swinging it in front of him and setting it up on tall, narrow legs. He shuffles up, puts the cards down, and Kickotron walks to the other side. He draws his hand, nods, and plays a card. It's impossible to see from the ground. Theo looks to Kickotron, gesturing with a hand palm-up in a passing motion. Kickotron immediately does the same. This goes back and forth a few times: Theo draws, thing hits the table, they make the motions, repeat. It's really fast.

"Alright! So, it's been pretty cold this winter in most places I've been," Theo starts. "Heating's been an issue. So, I went out, looked some stuff up, consulted with my trusty assistant Kickotron here," the myr doesn't react, "and we came up with a cheap and effective solution. Turns out, there's this world out there in the Void without a nearby sun to warm it, but it stays really hot all the time. There's this rock there that reacts to liquid water by heating up, kind of like an instant-action skillet."

He gestures to his side, muttering, "Myr Servitor." There's a flicker of white, wispy Aether, and a myr identical to the other small birdlike robot appears on the stage. It goes and uncovers the wagons, one containing a pile of red rock, another having a bunch of machine components, and the last having neat stacks of metal plates. It organizes things some.

Theo waves, and it picks up the rock, walks over and holds it up. He pulls out a plastic water bottle and drips a little onto it. It glows red, the water steaming and sizzling, and it keeps the glow for a while after. With another gesture and a mutter, the Servitor sets it aside. "Cool, huh? So, like I was saying about the heating, we used this, a water reservoir and some sheet metal and cooked up a thing I like to call," he turns towards the wagons, "the Thermal Pylon."
Theo Morrison Kickotron goes over to the pile of machine parts, and with the other myr, unloads and assembles it in rapid succession. They're quick and efficient, setting up what looks like a long, narrow metalworking station across the stage. One end is up against the carts of materials when they're done; the other is open.

"Doing it by hand would be kind of rough, so we made a machine to make them. Mostly it was Kickotron's design. Okay, Kickotron, put one together."

Kickotron, perhaps to differentiate himself from the other one, pulls on blast goggles. They're sized for a myr. (They look ridiculous.) It marches up, taking the stacked metal and the piled stone and running it through the workstation, apparently hand-cranking a layered assembly of gears and rods to roll it, bend it, cut it and assemble it. He sticks the rock in the top, clamping it in place, and then caps it and sets it up on the far end of the assembly machine. It looks kind of like a plain grey lamppost with a pull chain.

Theo walks over and opens up an aperture very obviously. He pours the rest of the bottle in, caps the opening, and pulls the chain. There's a 'clack-hiss,' and a glow comes out of slits in the sides of the top of the pylon. People nearby can feel the heat. "So hey; Thermal Pylon. You could put lenses in there too to provide light if you want," he adds, "but I didn't really think to do it for the demo. The water reservoir is self-closing, so you can measure it out."

"Okay," Theo says, "now for the cool bit." He turns to the table, holding up a card dramatically and slapping it down. "Paradox Haze!"

A white mist wells up on the stage. Everything is still visible in it, but there are hazy shadows of it all, like there was a second copy of it behind the fog. Theo, the machine and the two myr are all still quite visible, if a bit more ominous. "And a second Paradox Haze!" The fog thickens. A second set of shadows appears behind the first. It's really strange. "Ready?"

Kickotron gives a thumbs-up. At the motion, Theo pulls his phone out of his pocket. He thumbs a button. The backpack Kickotron was carrying around -- now at Theo's feet -- starts to play a tune.
Theo Morrison BGM CHANGE: http://youtu.be/gyCDLW7n53A

"Go!"

The begoggled Myr goes through the motions again. The machine gets cranked, clicking and clacking and groaning -- except it's doing it in triplicate. The clamor is cacophonous, oddly in time with the music, and the fog makes strange silhouettes and unsynchronized shadows of everything that's happening. For a second, it looks like the world glitched out and Kickotron has started over again. Then, he's suddenly near the end of the process.

The fog roils. He's back in the midst of it. Sparks fly as the myr increases the production speed up past what the initial demo displayed. Everything goes as it should, but the haze that clings to it is making things completely wonky on-stage. It's getting difficult to track.

Then, there's a CLANG. There is a second pylon next to the first.

CLANG-CLANG. Two more.

CLANG-CLANG-CLANG. Three more next to the first set.

Kickotron only ever goes through the motions one time. He goes at lightning speed, a one-myr machine shop, smoothly and expertly moving the parts along the assembly process and out the other side. Every time he finishes it, there's that weird flickering, that strangely rolling fog, and suddenly --

CLANG-CLANG-CLANG.

CLANG-CLANG-CLANG.

CLANG-CLANG-CLANG.

The music ends. Theo stacks the cards on the table and puts them on top of the deck. The fog disappears with a rush of wind that doesn't even ruffle his hair. The stage is clear.

Well, except for the empty carts, the long machine, and the three rows of five pylons.

"/That's/ the cool part," Theo says. Kickotron walks up next to him; they take a bow. "We'll have the stage clear for the next one. Thanks for indulging us, Ravnicans and otherwise."
Rhapsody The presentation from Theo gets a resounding response, applause roaring up out of the crowd at is what was clearly a very good presentation, and something that could very easily be put to use! Even Rhapsody is applauding as she wanders onto the stage, looking to shake Theo's hand, "I think we have our first offically funded project! Who agrees?!" The crowd roars to life again. "Consider yourself funded, Theo. We can talk about it later, but after the winter that's been roaming around, something like this is wonderful! If we can figure out those rocks and replicate the material, it'd be quite the thing. Wonderful job!" Even Sidonia is in agreement on this one, giving a fair amount of applause. Ryxinel is absolutley beaming about this one. He's VERY interested in those rocks, for one, and the pylon over all secondly.

"Well, that's going to be one tough act to follow! But, its presentation day! That's just how it goes, right?" More applause. "Lets see who gets to follow that display!" The draconic guildmaster reaches for the portal, and then, (with a small feeling of Deja Vu) Seto's bit of paper suddenly turns into an origami dragon! It even has two blue dots for eyes. "Well well well. It looks like Kaiba Corp gets to show us what it's got!" There's some applause, but, for whatever reason, Rizix is booing. BOOOOOOO. (Hey, he knew Yugi when he was here. He has a good reason!)
Seto Kaiba      As Kaiba watched Theo's presentation, he makes a small yawn, covering it with his mouth. This is fairly definitely intentional.

And then Kaiba's name is called. And, he walks onto the stage without a second thought. He has the same stoic look as usual. He has /quite/ a presence as he walks onto the stage, though. His cloak flutters a bit. In his right hand, the briefcase. He lays it down besides him. Or, more of, just casually drops it next to him. He speaks. Obviously, he is used to presentations such as this, or at least, public speaking in general. He is the president of his own corporation.

He clears his throat, preparing to speak to the audience, "Ladies. Gentlemen. Theo Morrison." Yes, it seems even while giving a presentation, he feels a bit of a need to be an ass to Theo. Granted, it is a fairly standard method of doing so. He continues on, though, "Most of you know me by reputation. I am Seto Kaiba, the head of Kaiba Corp. And, I am here to not just show you a new invention. I am here today to revolutionize Ravnica, and the various other worlds it is closely assosciated with."

"I have heard, that amongst your worlds, there are those known as 'Planeswalkers'. Beings who have great power, capable of calling forth creatures from various realms to fight for them. I intend to make it so that every single person on this planet can have the power of a Planeswalker. I, in fact, have the first step to this technology already ready. So. Let me /show/ you."

He pulls out a deck of cards, and slots it into his duel disk. He stares at his hand, somewhat. His poker face is probably giving away a bit of his surprise. This is, perhaps, the best possible first hand he could ever draw.

And he is wasting it on a demonstration, and not an actual battle. He sighs just slightly.

"I call forth the Blue-Eye Ultimate Dragon!"

Kaiba places the Polymerization card. Due to having all three Blue-Eyes White Dragons in his hand, he can use it straight away. And, there is a swirling burst of energy in front of Kaiba. The form of the three glorious Blue-Eyes White Dragons appear in it, only to be merged into a single massive beast: The Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. A giant, three headed dragon, with pure white scales and pure blue eyes. Each head lets out a roar towards the audience.
Seto Kaiba      "With my technology, I can bring forth any beast possible. I look to develop this technology even /further/, to bring forth any creature from your world. Much like certain Planeswalkers can do," he says, as he glances at Theo. The smug smirk on Kaiba's face is aimed straight at the Deckmaster.

"And, there is one more thing I'd like to show you all. Though it will take time to get through the proper channels to build this project upon Ravnica, support from those here will help get it through faster. But. I want to create something the likes of which you never have seen."

And, Kaiba kicks the briefcase open. From it, a hologram appears. This one is less solid, a bit transparent. But, it shows a massive technological tower, decorated with designs of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

"I look to build Kaiba Land on Ravnica. A theme park. But, also, a place wherein those who take up my new technology can master their skills with it. What's more, it will be filled with various challenges and training devices, so that those who live here can use them to reach their fullest potential. Potential beyond what this planet itself already has to offer. To become some of the /most powerful/ beings in the Multiverse, or to become great geniuses with technological skills beyond what any here can even begin to imagine yet."

Kaiba smiles, motioning to his men, "And, as a sign of good faith, my men here each have a briefcase. Those of you here who simply can not wait may recieve a Duel Disk, and powers akin to a Planes Walker, /right now/. ...This offer only goes out to those of this world, though, for practical reasons."

And, yes, the men will basically give out Duel Disks to the first twenty or so people who come. Complete with (somewhat crappy) Duel Monster decks, and instructions on the use of the device written in the local language.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite is tapping along with the music. Or maybe with the way the machinery is matching the music, with her sharp ears it could even be a bit of both. Either way she's watching with rapt attention... though maybe more at the myrs than what they are construction. Little robotic(?) buddies to help with all that work? As much as she likes working with her own hands, that could be really useful too. Hmmm.

As the music is coming to an end and the project finished she looks back at her own contraption. Maybe if it was smaller....

With a shrug she turns her attention back and... making creatures manifest now? Wow this place is covering all sorts of topics tonight.
Staren     Staren watches curiously. Heat rock? Okay... He's not sure where this is going...

    And then, TIME SHENANIGANS!

Staren gasps at the realization of what Theo has /really/ demonstrated: The card effects go away, but not what those effects have /accomplished/.

Staren claps, but it's automatic, mechanical -- he's distracted by thoughts. Hmm...

Also, mapparently Theo can make machines. Staren will have to ask about that, he wasn't aware it was a skill Theo posessed. Did the myr /really/ do it all?

And then, Kaiba summons a dragon! or does he? Staren qickly whips a scanner out of his bag, scanning for non-visual light, magic, lifesigns, and using ultrasound to check if its solid.
Alvira     At the apparent rivalry between Theo and Kaiba, Alvira cannot help but smirk. She remains silent, for the most part, between the two presentations, occasionally making notes on some kind of tablet, raising it a little higher every now and then-perhaps she can take pictures with it? The rock that Theo discovered, in particular, definitely catches the interest of the woman. She'll have to look into acquiring one of those pylons later...somehow. Perhaps she can interest Theo in fat stacks of money.

But as for acquiring things: "I-" Alvira speaks up boldly, stepping forward to Kaiba's display, "Simply cannot wait for a theme park to open."
Rhapsody     Some magewrights are skeptical, but Seto's goons would find a FLURRY of goblins rushing to get their hands on the duel disks. "Well, if Kaiba can defeat the great and powerful monster know as 'Azor Paperwork' we may very well have a themepark in Ravnica very soon!" There's some applause, so, its not like the RIVAL CARD GAME is that hated in the City of Guilds. "Very good display, Seto! Thank you for showing us all of that!" Rhapsody calls before making her way toward the small portal at the side of the stage. "We still have a few more presentations to go! So, without further delay.." she muses, reaching into the portal...
Seto Kaiba      Staren's scanning of the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon shows it as being both solid and not. But, no life signs. It probably wouldn't take long, though, for him to determine it was a hard light hologram in the shape of a dragon. But of course, with all the features and powers of such.

Kaiba walks off the stage, and looks at Alvira. He pauses, curious.

"The theme park will be coming soon. The Duel Disk, though..."

Alvira, at a glance, doesn't /seem/ like a citizen of Ravnica. And, all of the duel disks are given away anyways, so even if he wanted to, he couldn't give one out now.

"...Speak to me another time, and I might be able to get you a Duel Disk. The ones I am giving out here are combat capable. The ones I sell in stores are not."
Rhapsody Her hand comes out with nothing! However, the maximal in the crowd would find her number has turned into a shiny bit of metal. "Well, I've never seen an Arachnid make a presentation, so, I hope no one has a fear of spiders!"
Black Arachnia Once she collects her number and finds a good spot to watch the presentations from, Black Arachnia is largely a polite spectator, occasionally looking away to round up one of her drones that's threatening to get away. It's almost enough to make her try to web them all up, but untangling their legs when she needed to show them off would be a huge hassle.

Still, she has enough attention to watch Staren's golem demonstration - and she has to fight not to call him out on how he COULD have done that as a trick, but she successfully suppresses the urge. Theo's display is somewhat more impressive - screwing with temporal mechanics for fun and profit - but the very nature of it makes her frown anyway.

Then comes Kaiba. She really has to struggle not to jeer at this one. A theme park to train Elites? Seriously? She doesn't even *bother* with the duel disk offer - she could probably cobble a counterfeit one together, it's just a matter of hacking into KaibaCorp's databanks to get all the card data.

She doesn't have time to wrestle with the idea for long, though, as her number is 'called' and she skitters up towards the stage - with a lot of doubling back to keep her pack of drones moving in the right direction.
Theo Morrison Theo frowns at the Duel Disk's entire... /thing/. While he's cool with the idea of solid holograms, the concept that they'll 'let you do what a Planeswalker does' is a dangerous proposition. There's more to it than what Kaiba knows about it, and it's not all that safe. Still... it's neat, he supposes.

Theo has a seat off to one side of the stage with all his stuff. The pylons are being moved by the myr, of which Theo has called in two more with the same casual display of summoning. The machine got disassembled in short order. The little birdlike robots are pretty quick on the wrench.

He'll have to talk to the Izzet later about the whole funding thing. Maybe it'll help some people out. That's kinda the goal, anyway.
Seto Kaiba      Also as a note, the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon is still hanging out near Kaiba. Because he hasn't turned the Duel Disk off, yet, and because he wants to show off.

Also, a glance at Theo. Kaiba honestly has a /guess/ at what Theo is thinking. Yes. Planeswalkers don't just summon monsters. Though, Kaiba only knows a small bit about what else they do, he does have one other project in mind.

Copying the actual act of traveling from one plane to another, via technology.

The look Kaiba is giving Theo, though? It's another look of smug superiority. As if he is trying to say, just by this look itself, that he will be uncovering all of the secrets of the Planeswalkers, and how to mimic them.

After all, that is one of the reasons he wants to build a Kaiba Land here.
Alvira     "Soon." Alvira intones, sotto vocce. Her eyes flick away from Kaiba, clouding with disappointment as the last case is handed out to some grubby-looking little goblin. "Damnit, too slow, I suppose." Only a small frown remains on the woman's scarred face but that gradually fades to a mask of neutrality.

"All the more a pity that there are no more left here." She offers in a detatched tone. "An impressive presentation nonetheless." One hand slips out from behind her, flicking something upward as she turns away. Her business card sails through the air and lands neatly between the teeth of one of the Kaiba booth's Blue Eyes White Dragon anamatronics.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason watches Theo oen roll out with a good dela of intrest she watches the pylons go up with intrest. She then notices the overall set up and seems to be fiarly impressed with it as sh notices the card and everything else.

"Not bad, Theo right?"

There's not much time to talk as Kaiba is now on deck. She watche as Kiba does his and she also happy Theo got funded, this is sometimes the only chance some great minds have, is to find a patron who can see wher their ideas might go.

She does behold Kaiba she watches the h9olo tech is quite impressive she has to admit but she wonders about it, she also sees he's getting down to business with what he's up to. She hangs back now to watch wat happens next but she doesn't think holograms does a magic user make. IT's an interesting option for those who can not use magic she admits though.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite finally notices a familiar face amongst people and ambles over, slapping Lyria lightly on the back as she walks up. "Lyria! Didn't see ya when I was up there on the stage. How ya doin' pardner? Here to show somethin' off too?"
Black Arachnia It takes a couple of minutes for Black Arachnia to get her 'retinue' onto the stage in good order - although once they're there, they line up properly from left to right, a single line of twelve with a break in the middle - a break too narrow for a giant spider.

"Black Arachnia, maximize!"

Easily remedied when she transforms into robot mode and steps into the gap. "I've been reverse-engineering something an ex-colleague of mine used to use," she states. "These spider drones," she gestures at the little robots, "are ideal for covert infiltration and espionage - small, power-efficient, very difficult to detect even when they stand out against their environment. There are variations that can be made on their construction and programming, allowing for a wide range of mission profiles."

The drones are starting to get disorderly again, but a stern look and a short-range pulse transmission chivvies them back into order. "They're not quite ready for field deployment yet, I'll admit. Their AIs are still somewhat wonky, so it takes relatively ongoing remote control to keep them on task - but they can operate via burst radio transmissions or quantum-entanglement communications, and if for some reason you're working within line of sight of the drones, you can also use laser pulse transmissions to send updated commands."

The Maximal fembot lurns to look at the Izzet dragons, Rhapsody in particular. "If the Izzet League wants to support my development work, I'm sure that implementing some kind of magical remote interface would make them even more useful, particularly in feigning radio silence where *any* transmission might be detected. There aren't many who would think to look for both magical and technological signal traffic on any given world, after all."

The drones are starting to drift out of line *again*, so Black Arachnia cuts her presentation short right there and jumps off the stage, commanding the drones one by one to fall into line behind her as she returns to her 'seat' halfway up a convenient wall overlooking the stage. She has to transform to get up there; the drones don't.

.... although two of them try to start climbing the wall, fall off, flip onto their backs, and explode noisily instead of going anywhere.
Theo Morrison Theo stares at Kaiba. He doesn't look angry; he looks a little concerned, if anything, and maybe a touch irritated at how smug Kaiba is about all this. The far-reaching implications are... well, far-reaching!

"Uh-huh. Nice to meet you." He bobs his head in Lyria's direction, and raises a hand at Corona when she wanders over. "Hi. Cool automatronic choreographizer."
Rhapsody The rambunctious drones are getting some amused looks and the occasional laugh out of the crowd. The fact that Arachnia admitted they need some work, however, keeps her from getting any jeers or boos from the crowd. If there is one thing that the izzet can appreciate, its admitting that a project is in progress and that work is still needed. "Well! We can see about trying to help improve the AI! Perhaps some artificat intelligence can help keep a few of the little buggers in line, hmm?" More applause. "Now then! I hope everyone's having a good night. Certainly a number of really good projects so far, and still have a few more to go! Lets see who presents next!" Over to the portal she goes...
Rhapsody Her hand comes out, and then Chitose's bit of paper folds into a little boat! "Ah, I'm sorry! I'm not familiar with your name but please, come on up and show us what you got!"
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite nods her head to Theo. "It's still a bit o work in process, but thanks all the same. Guess it turned out to be a good show opener before it got to stuff like yer super assembly line though, hahaha!"
Shigure     Chitose cheers a bit, while Shigure eeps at the slip of paper turning into a boat. Kuma steps forward though. "Could ya come outside, kuma! We don't wanna damage stuff in here, kuma~!" Chitose nods, and gestures for folks to head out the doors.

Once outside, the four shipgirls turn, and salute in unison. "Fifth Force Reconnisance Fleet! We're part of the Combined Fleet out of Hikari Seaport." they say. "Flagship Kuma! I'm a Light Cruiser, kuma!" says you know who it is already. The ahoge'd girl grinning and bouncing in place. "S-Shigure... D-Destroyer." squeaks the girl in the black serafuku, as she inches behind Chitose again. The stoic little grey haired girl pipes up next. "Destroyer-class. Nowaki." and finally, the tall grey haired woman who took the slip first off speaks. "Seaplane Tender, I'm Chitose!"

Chitose then reaches behind herself to grasp the plane launch rails, flicking them forward and causing the rails to extend to launch length. "We don't really have anything that we can make or give out, but we wanted to show off what the Combined Fleet is capable of!" she announces, before turning and aiming her 'Plane Guns' skyward. "Up and away Zuiun!" she chirps happily, as a pair of green-painted planes materialize on the rails. Their propellers spin up, and the little Fairies inside the cockpits salute before steam gouts from the rails, launching them skywards. The floatplanes bank out away from each other, and begin performing aerial acrobatics for the crowd.

Kuma meanwhile materialized a smaller, unarmed floatplane and holds it like one might a javelin. "Go Reimatei!" she crows, the little fairy going all D: face as she's thrown forcefully.

Shigure and Nowaki exchange looks, then unhook their cannons. Shigure gives her Cannon-fa a twirl, then fires blank shells into the air, while Nowaki leans on her torpedo turret and has her machineguns strafe blank bullets across the aircraft, a few yellow 'tracers' flying into the sky, before vanishing completely.

"It's not really as impressive as everyone else's displays! But we hope we can help all of you, on land or sea!" Chitose finishes, the fleet girls bowing, as they finish their 'presentation'.
Black Arachnia The Fifth Fleet's demonstration is actually pretty impressive from Black Arachnia's perspective - although rather than going outside like everyone else, she settles for taking to a rooftop so she can see what's going on.

And she sees functional miniature fighter planes.

It's enough to get her wondering if the Combined Fleet from Hikari might be able to help finagle a flight-capable version of her drones, at least. And let's face it, NOBODY outside of the Fleet's world would expect fightere planes of that size. If they could upgrade to jet fighters instead of propeller-driven, they'd be a truly terrifying enemy.

Which makes the Maximal spider all the happier that Kuma and her sisters-in-arms are with the Union.
Rhapsody     Ships! Ships that are girls! With planes! Hey, there's no problem with the Izzet with this presentation. They are happy to slip out of the Foyer in Nivix to watch the display. When its done, the fleet would get a round of applause from the Magewrights, some wondering just how they could replicate such a thing! After a moment, the crowd would start to wander back into Nivix to see who would be next. "It never hurts to have more allies! We all know the Izzet has plenty of allies, and the Fifth Fleet would be a welcome addition anytime rough seas come calling! We're all rather familiar with such things," she muses before moving to the portal. "Alright! Enough potential gloom, lets see what we have next!"
Corona Arclite "We'll consider that the fireworks display for the night too!" Corona calls towards the shipgirls in amusement. All that firepower (thankfully blanks) is all right with her.
Rhapsody Arm comes out. Lyria's bit of paper would turn gold! (its not made of gold, sorry!) "Ah, you! Over there, I'm sorry, I don't know you but I'm sure you'll be making yourself pretty well known once you come up here!"
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason grins at Theo.

"We should talk later."

She looks to Corona.

"Yes I'm a machinist along with being a Geomancer so yes I do have some things to show of Corona hopefully she'll have a chance to really show things off here. She'll get some extraversal notice at the very least. She pockets the ticket now as she goes to come in, still Kuma however did make her smile with what she had to show. Living ship spirits, it was something that appealed to her given how tied to her people were to their own ships.

So she comes out a she's called and she bows slightly.

"I'm Lyira Mason, A machinist from the world of Galianda, notably the plate of Leviathan and thank you for this chance to show my creations off."

The large serpent like drone has been working at setting up a number of thing including what seems to be a fairly large water containment unit, it's totally not a pool.

"The Archnotron X-1, is a small drone developed my myself with application notably in shipping and elemental control in various industrial processes the drones re deigns to channel geomancy on their own accord as they are direction they are able to freeze water, in such a fashion they can act as an emergency way to plug a breach, various means of security applications should I be able to development further."
% The drones now leap into the water and it freeze the moment they contact with it but it also start to rapidly reshape shifting and making cracking noises as the ice moves to form a wall.

"Pattern Bravo. This will be able to show the level of control they already have in this early testing phase."

They shift and move again this time it's slowly and carefully reforming the ice into a very good ice sculpture of the Izzet Guild crest. Sure it's calculated but it also shows the level of the control the drones have now.

"collectively these five units have the ability to deal with about Fifty cubic meters of water together and it will expand as more drones are added to the network. I hope to be better able to harness other elements for more uses with industrial annd civilian applications. While there's clearly weapon applications she's doesn't seem intending to mass military use of them.

"They also can server to aid in dealing with fire fighting, stopping flood waters and the like."
Rhapsody The ability to control water is something the Izzet hold in very high regard. Seeing tech that can control it in such detail gets a lot of adoration from the crowd. When the presentation results in the creation of the Izzet League sigil a -lot- of applause go up from the crowd which even leads to Rhapsody to come up on stage and offer a nod and some applause of her own, "Very nicely done! Its clear the amount of control the drone has, and I'm sure it could be put to very good use in the future, thank you!" more applause. "Well! Ladies and Gentlemen, we've had a pretty interesting night so far, there's no doubt of that. We've had music, we've had dragons... other'n me... we've had corporation owners, planeswalkers, machines, and even ships come out to present themselves to the Izzet! It just shows that technology and progress is a universal, even multiversal constant, and one that everyone can agree needs to be chased after, no matter what! We all want to get better, and I for one am proud to see so many of us, Izzet or not, showing that we're all thinking about how we can make our collective worlds move forward!" Applause.

"So what's next? Well, I know a few folks have been asking me about the #1 Off-World Apprentence, so..." Rhapsody reaches into the portal, knowing full well who will be next. When she pulls her hand out, she has a seed. "Yunomi Stadler! Please step up onto the stage!" Applause. MUCH applause.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite huhs. She'll have to yell for the water-bot bucket brigade next time they have a steam boiler spring a leak. She claps along with everyone else. "Hey Lyria, you think those bots could be modified to handle liquids other than water?"
Yunomi Stadler     The lights go out over the presentation hall. Against the murmur of the crowds, and the whine of a mana generator spinning to speed, there are the taps of footfalls. The whisper of leaves brushing against one another and the heady smell of nun's orchid lift on a breeze.

"The last time I stood here," The Izzet Guardian's voice keys up, and with a lick of her fingers, she's illuminated. The ball of light above her is a blossomed flower, the edges of its wide petals glowing with mana, "it was in the presence of Niv-Mizzet himself," she finishes.

She steps forward, and as she does, the light spreads, tracing its way around, gently traveling along the leaves of manavines. More blossoms, resembling the heads of orchids, with red in the petals and blue in the centers, the labellum curling, forking like a serpent's tongue. "The last time I stood here," she reaches up, and lowers her goggles, moving slowly in a circle around the room, "I introduced the Multiverse to the Manavine -- a living powerline that can be raised in minutes and sustain operations, giving comfort and solace in times of worry -- and a reliable source of power in times of need. The power needed to keep the lights on to hospitals and hostels alike, able to be grown anyplace."

She stands in the center of the room, looking through the crowd as if searching for familiar faces, and she takes a deep breath. "The manavine has been an /incredibly/ popular project. Orders from the Simic Combine have largely replaced the old metallic wiring with an infrastructure that not only blends into their guildhall seamlessly but can be easily repaired or replaced in case of emergency... or any small issues with escapees." she gives a wry grin. "But I'm not here to trumpet my past. I'm here to champion a future vision."
Lyria Mason Some of the older union elites Like Yunomi, Staren and Black Arachnia might notice a woman wearing mostly form fitting clothing with a tabbard, red hair and is umm quite stacked watching, she's also not alone as several penguin liks things seem to be keeping her from bolting, to make sure she watches the show.
Yunomi Stadler     And Yunomi takes a deep, shaking breath, and shakes out her hands. Green mana, not the usual color for the Izzet League, swirls around her fingertips, and there is a twisting, fiberous sound as the manavines begin to swell, reaching for one another. As the leaves touch, there is the crackling of electricity, snapping through the air. Loose hair might begin to stand on end as the air saturates with mana, becoming electrified, invigorated with the energy.

The manavines begin to fold in on one another, creating honeycombed networks, with mana traveling along them. Yunomi switches, red mana drawing down from her elbows, coursing like fire along her arms, and the vines glow vivid red, looping the fed mana through the honeycomb structure.

The room may heat up. The structure gives an angry rumble, and Yunomi's ears flick forward, her tail on high alert, fuzzing out. She holds her breath, and as it stabilizes, humming with a deep barritone, she slowly begins to straighten up.

She removes her goggles, the heat evident in the soot that dusted over her face from charred plant matter. "A n-network..." she squeaks, then clears her throat.

"A network, a manavine comb structure to store and transform mana from one type to another. A massive mana bank is possible, and it is possible to construct, to rebuild this world. A Ravnica Reconstructed, more harmonious with nature, in a world where Progress and Protection of what natural green spaces we have go hand-in-hand," and she turns, her chin up as she faces the draconic siblings who head her guild. "This is the end result of the research that could not save the Parun"
Seto Kaiba      Kaiba casually watches as Yunomi puts on her display.

...And then when he realizes it is entirely connected to mana, and not actual technology, he turns away, nd goes to help Mokuba tend the booth. At least for a little bit.

Yeah, he doesn't like magic much.
Black Arachnia Quite a few impressive presentations, really, thinks Black Arachnia as she observes Yunomi's mana network. Now, if she could make spider drones interface with mana ... probably not gonna happen, magic isn't her thing.

Although if Lyria's 'Arachnotron' project could tie into things as well ...

Hmmmm.
Rhapsody Welp. That is a hell of a thing. Rhapsody is wide-eyed. Sidonia is slack jawed, and Ryxinel is -gawking- at this display. Creating converters to change one kind of mana into one other kind of mana was par the course for the izzet but this? This was something different. A ... universal converter? Any of the five to any other of the five? Is that what this is? Was it even possible?! There's a lot of silence. Maybe an uncomfortable amount. However. A clap from near the back of the foyer is the trigger that cause the entire guild to explode into applause and roars of approval. Rhapsody only has to say one thing, and her siblings echo the sentiment.

        "FUNDED!"
Staren     Machines that control magic? That use it autonomously? Staren's intrigued! He's at the edge of his seat as he considers the possibilities. Full of questions, but... it will soon be time for the next demonstration! He claps, and watches...

Yunomi! He hasn't seen her in a long time.

She'll rebuild Ravnica? Mana storage and conversion on an unheard-of scale? He stands and cheers! "Yeah!" He claps enthusiastically!
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi's smiling, she turns, and makes a sweeping bow. She turns to the other side, and she bows, and when she straightens again, she lets her goggles fall back over her eyes, as if the lights around her were too blinding.

And she turns, giving a triumphant fistpump in the air to return to the doors of the presentation hall.

Now. How to stabilize a /whole lot of them/.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite lets out a low whistle. She doesn't understand a lot of this magic stuff, but she gets the impression this is pretty impressive just from those around her. "Welp, I think that one left me right near speechless." Then she huhs, tilting her head to the side a bit thoughtfully. "Y'know, that's kinda a dumb saying. Left speechless. Cuz you gotta tell someone yer speechless, so you're speakin'. Which means ya ain't speechless."
Rhapsody th the presentation done, Rhapsody catches Yunomi headed off stage, gets a hug in, then waves to the rest of the League as she comes to center stage, "And that's it! I'd like to thank everyone for coming out to Presentation Day! I promise it won't be so long until the next one! Take care everyone, and remember! If we all work together, we can do anything. We can even make the world stop. GOOD NIGHT!"
Yunomi Stadler     ACK! Yunomi is caught mid hug, and she's dragged a little backwards with a panicked, flailing look on her face, arms out and ears flicking forward and backwards!
Seto Kaiba      Kaiba is obviously trying to stiffle a laugh as Rhapsody says that. Okay, not super obvious, but those that are looking at him closely might notice him holding back as she mentions the whole 'working together' thing.

At this point, though? He just walks out. Mokuba can handle the booth.
Staren     Staren waves back to Rhapsody, and claps in appreciation of her speech that if we all work together we can even control time itself.
Black Arachnia And that seems to be that. Black Arachnia doesn't seem particularly taken aback that her project didn't get officially funded - but Rhapsody was encouraging about the prospects, and there's always next time.

Not that she really needs money for the project, either - not at this point. Black Arachnia can do her own programming, and the physical parts are more scavenged than purchased. The moral support is ... well, if she were outwardly the sort to *care*, Black Arachnia would consider the moral support to be sufficient.
