Owner Pose
Ryu     Ryan has returned from the frigid and unpleasant area known as Coerthas, at least temporarily. He came right back to the Izzet Quarter because it is his home now, a place that he has grown familiar with and comfortable living at. It wasn't long before he started hearing about how Rhapsody caught the draconic cold, and he found himself weighing his immediate instinct to go up and give her some company and make her day a little less miserable. He had to weigh whether he actually wanted to risk catching the cold himself.

Deciding to go through with it, he scrounged around for stuff to make soup and tea that would help her feel better, making sure to get enough for both of them if he started to get sniffles, too. All the preparations in place, he made his way up to her lair.

The rustling of a bag can be heard along with the soft thump of his boots as he walks across the room. He approaches the couch, and sets the bag aside, smiling at her in that tired way he usually does. His wild hair has been tied back and managed some. "I guess you are sick, huh? I got some stuff for your cold. I don't know how it works for dragons, so I got teas and soup... and some medicine, too," he says, crouching down to dig through the bag, holding up a couple cans of soup. Not the cheap stuff, at the very least.

    "How're you doing?"
Rhapsody     She was in and out of sleep for a while. Yunomi had been in earlier, signs left by a few empty cups and even a bowl, but that had been a bit earlier. Hearing Ryan's boots against the floor actually causes her to wonder who it is, rather than realize. She'd become very familiar with his draconic form, so his arrival in the form she met him in comes as a small surprise. "Oh, heya Ryan," she greets groggily, starting to sit up on the couch she's resting on. "I didn't recognize the sound of you coming in," pause. "I'm surprised you're in that form. You was in the other for a while... taking a little break?" It doesn't occur to her that he may have shifted so he could cook up the stuff he had brought.

"Mmnf. Doing alright. Colds are a pain for a dragon." Another pause. "I hope you don't catch it. Starting out human, it may keep you from getting it, actually," she notes. She still doesn't hold it against him that he didn't start out as a dragon. In fact, she had all but forgotten about it already.
Ryu     Ryan looked surprised for a moment, that she wouldn't recognize him, but then he realizes he had spent a good span in his dragon form without reverting. He smiles lightly at that, and goes about pulling out cans and contemplating what to make for the both of them. He decides to leave that for later, setting it all aside and looking at her with one of the more cheery looks. "I planned for catching it. Wouldn't have showed up otherwise." Then he stands up and looks for a place to sit down, probably on the couch if there's room.

"I was wandering around Coerthas in human form. I try to stay in human form most places, just because a lot of things are built for humans or humanoids. I still knock things over on accident with my tail." He gives a little embarrassed smile at her, even blushing somewhat. He looks toward the TV and falls silent, content to just relax there with the other dragon.
Rhapsody By now, the Guildmaster had sat up on the couch, leaving enough room for Ryan to take a seat. "Well, aren't you well prepared?" she notes, settling back against the bit of furniture. "Well, reverting once in a while isn't bad, I suppose, hmm?" a grin, probably alluding to what she had shown him a few weeks earlier. "I'm sorry I don't remember this right now, Ryan, maybe its the cold, but... can you fly?"
Ryu     Ryan gives a few nods in agreement with her words. He decides to remove his boots and pull off his socks, drawing his feet up to cross his legs beneath him. He turns his head when she asks if he can fly and he shakes his head in reply. "Nah. I don't think my type of dragon is supposed to fly. Though it does feel 'right' when I go flying with others, so maybe I'm supposed to grow wings at some point." He shrugs his shoulder, clueless as to how it works in his world.
Rhapsody For a moment Rhapsody looks a little disapointed. "Ah, r-right." she gives a little sigh. "There's a reason I'm asking, though, I think I may have to ask Bahamut then. While I can glide really well, and have flown in emergencies. I Um. well. Can't.. for the most part." she finally admits. "Time to learn?" sheepish smile.
Ryu     There's disappointment, which makes Ryan frown for a second, seeming sad about that. He then nods at her, seeming to shrug off the feeling quickly. "Bahamut would be a good choice for that," he tells her, smiling again, reaching out to touch her on the shoulder to show that he approves. His hand returns to his lap with the other, fingers interlocking, when he goes on. "Maybe there are simulations in the Ring of Philosophy? We can find some way for me to help you, if you want. Even if it's just moral support, yeah?"
Rhapsody That gets her smile back, "I always forget that the Union has that," Rhapsody muses, shaking her head. "I barely get over there anymore. Certainly not as much as Niv-Mizzet used to. I've been so busy with the Izzet, learning the ropes, catching up all the paper work, the recent Tax Year. just. ngh," a sigh, she slumps back against the couch. "I don't feel like i'm a part of the Union lately. I'm glad I was able to pitch ideas for helping Reptilon, though. Hopefully Allo will get the info I need to me and I can get the League working to help them out.." she muses, blinking, realizing she's kind of rambling a bit about what's been going on. "Ah, haha, sorry, Ryan, I don't want to sound so self-centered. How have you been doing? What happened with your trip?"
Ryu     "The Union's pretty open-minded. I don't think anyone's bothered that you're focusing on your world," Ryan tells her, in a reassuring tone of voice, "And I don't think anyone should be." He looks at her somewhat confusedly when she turns her attention toward him, the apology being the part that confuses him. He smiles at her after, and lets out a sigh. "I need to go back there, but now I know eventually my presence is gonna draw out people that need to be dealt with anyways. Nael's flunkies are thriving over there, I bet." He lets out a sigh, and flumps back against the seat some, eyes closing. "I talked to a dragon and found out that I can't really stop the hatred between the Dravanians and Ishgard on my own. It's been a problem for too long."
Rhapsody     "Sounds like elves and dwarves," Rhapsody notes, thinking about the emotions between the two races. "Maybe if I catch some time I can roam up there too, though I'm not sure what I would do. I'm not very familiar with the situation," she admits before giving a glance to the bag that Ryan had brought, smirking back. "Should I have Rizix set up the kitchenette? The lair's very modular, everything's here, its all just hidden in the walls."
Ryu     Ryan shakes his head slowly. "They have problems with dragons. Serious problems. They'll throw you in a pit and leave you to die there if they find out you have anything to do with dragons," he tells her, "I can look human, but..." He shakes his head slowly. "I don't know if I'd be able to protect you if a mob comes after us." He reaches down to pick up one of the cans of soup, examining it. "Yeah. Let's get this food cooked up for the both of us." He looks around, as if trying to find the seams of what she's talking about, his brows lifted.
Rhapsody That gets a little "Oh," out of the Guildmaster. She misunderstood part of that, and just nods, "Noted, probably not the best place to go, then," she finally admits. Without a word, Rizix actually shows up from the larger doors that Ryan had come in through. He never seemed to be very far. He roams to one side of the lair, flips up a small panel, and then he starts to pull. Before long a full kitchenette is revealed from the wall. Stove, counte top, sink, all with water and everything that Ryan would need. "Thank you, Rizix." The goblin just nods and roams out again.
Ryu     Ryan watches with some awe as the kitchenette just unfolds on the spot. He gets up soon after that, gathering up the tea and the soup cans, stepping over to the kitchenette to begin cooking. He hums a little song to himself, sounding a little like a folk song. It's the same song he hummed back when he was in his dragon form on that island, so it's clear that the song is important to him in some way. He doesn't have much else to say now that he's busy with this task, gathering a pot for the soup and dishes so that they can eat when he's done.
Rhapsody While he starts cooking, Rhapsody just listens, actually starting to hum her own part. She's moved over to the wall not far from the kitchenette and folds a table out, tugs out a few chairs, and then slumps into one of them. Still humming, though.
Ryu     Ryan doesn't stop humming, rolling along with her harmony. His voice takes on that crystalline tone, somehow, even in his human form, almost as if being happy brought his draconic features up to the surface more easily. When he was done making the soup, he served it up and sat down across from her, smiling over at her. "That song's from where I was born," he tells her in a soft voice, "Mum used to sing it to me." This is the first part about him, about his actual background, that he's mentioned beyond the stuff with Teepo.
Rhapsody That causes a light smile, "I was wondering about that song.. I'm happy you told me," she muses, having a sip ouf the soup before giving an approving nod before having a little more. The next question, however, may be sudden, but she's young, too. "What was having a mom like..?" Its not that she wants pity or sympathy. She is -honestly- curious.
Ryu     For a moment, Ryan is brought back to a happier time, a time that he lost. The look her question draws out of him is unguarded and it's clear he is trying not to cry about it when his brow furrows. His eyes don't water, and eventually he manages in a quiet tone, "It's hard to remember, sometimes. I remember she was like an angel watching over me. She made me feel safe." He focuses on eating his share of the soup after that.
Rhapsody Not.. the reaction she expected. She recognizes it, at least, so the guildmaster doesn't press the question further. "I'm.. partially named after mine. Me and my sister. We never had the chance to know her but Niv spoke highly of her on the rare chances he did.." she muses before silencing herself behind the soup. Subject change time. Think... think...
Ryu     Ryan looks up at her, and he looks sad, but he remedies this by reaching to touch her on the wrist. He's gotten in the habit of gestures such as that one, to emphasize some sort of compassion or friendliness. "It's alright," he tells her, "It's not easy for me to talk about my family, that's all." He slurps at his soup again, seeming to shake off the sorrowful parts of remembering the past pretty quickly thanks to her presence.
Rhapsody Well, at least Rhapsody didn't seem to mind the gestures. They always seemed to help her calm down if she needed to. Subject change! "So, what did you put in this soup? It's wonderful."
Ryu     "It's a vegetable soup, ahh..." Ryan smiles bashfully, "I put some of the local seasonings in. I have a list one of the more helpful goblins made for me so I could avoid the weirder stuff." He is aglow with happiness, apparently, from the compliment. "I'm glad you like it. I was worried I messed it up."
Rhapsody A light laugh, "Its nice to know that there are some helpful goblins around besides just Rizix. Sometimes they can be really rambunctious but some of them are passionate about what they do here. Most other upper guilds wouldn't give a goblin the time of day, let alone a job." Pause. "Upper meaning they're located in the upper portion of the city.. last thing I want the guild to sound like is superior." Another pause. "And i'm politicking at you. hahaha. Jean's training is rubbing off.."
Ryu     "Fella was happy to help me out. Also kind of twitchy about me being a dragon. Like instinct, it seemed like," Ryan mentions, in between enjoying spoonfuls of soup. He brushes off the politic stuff all except for the face value of it, when he addresses it, "I don't think I've ever been to the deeper areas of the city. Are they dangerous?"
Rhapsody "It depends on the sector," Rhapsody says between sips. "I never understood why, but the Simic are in the undercity. They're the majority of the doctors and biologists in Ravnica. The rest would be the Dimir, or what's left of them anyway. And then the Rakdos, Golgari, and the Orzhova. I wouldn't go by myself into any of those sectors, to be honest."
Ryu     "Doctors do shady stuff sometimes," Ryan says, and then he taps the spoon on the edge of the bowl, "And doctors, real doctors, like to be where people most need their services, like the dark depths where people can't easily get help otherwise. I knew a back-alley doctor who got run out of a hospital because of some political crap, and he couldn't stop practicing, even if he knew it was illegal. He /needed/ to help people. It was all of himself he had left." He sips at his soup again. "He's the one who stitched me up, during the darker days."
Rhapsody "Hmm.. Good point. I guess I never thought of it that way," Rhapsody muses before she finishes her soup, settles back, content. "That was wonderful.. Thank you. Between you and Yunomi visiting its been a wonderful day despite my cold.."
Ryu     Ryan flashes a warm smile at her. "I'd do anything for you, Rhapsody," he tells her, seeming as happy as he can possibly be, when he soon finishes off his soup after that statement. He gestures with a thumb over his shoulder, "Want some tea? I can make some tea."
Rhapsody The first comment may actually get her to flush a little, "Thank you," she says before nodding, "I think some tea would be nice. Yunomi had brought some green earlier, but I do enjoy most kinds, hot or cold."
