Alif      A call for aid on that global radio frequency had seemed to work out well for Alif so far. And so she waited, a path had been laid out for those who offered, several of her spirit soldiers on the path to guide those that came to offer aid. When they arrived at Alif's location, they would find a relatively small camp, carefully hidden by camouflage against the snow. alif was waiting inside of the largest tent, looking over a map of the area, where general positions of the armies that were fighting were positioned.

As people arrived, they may also notice, off in the distance, a battle that was going on. While most of those battle were hard to make out, there were several giants among the enemies, and and occasionally it would likely be possible to see the sky go dark as volleys of arrows are loosed towards the giants. The battle was raging, and it was right over those ruins that Alif wished to plunder for its weapon cache. "Tch... okay. So if we trust in Inga, it may be possible to just focus on the giants, and the armored ones will probably ignore us." Alif murmurs to one of her mages, Gerard. He had his arms crossed over his chest, a frown on his face. "True, but if we join in the battle, there's the possibility we may be mistaken for enemies." He responds. Alif sighs softly. "Yeah... well, it's a risk we'll probably have to take if we want those weapons."
Setsuko Kaminagi     Though she'd said no word on the radio, the Union's own demigod of war heard, and she finds herself intrigued for more than one reason; the most significant of which being her battlesense drawing her attention to it. Not one to distrust the strange supernatural gift for feeling battles past, present and future, the swordswoman soon decides to investigate.

Though she has it in her power to fly on her own, Setsuko Kaminagi still prefers to use a Union hoverbike for long-distance travel, and that's what she arrives on, stepping off and onto the path set down for her and the others with an easy, smooth movement. Her arrival, though, is probably sensed long before it actually happens - to anyone with even faint supernatural senses, it's possible to sense her from miles away (dozens of miles, to those whose senses are stronger), and even to those with no magical sense at all, there is a certain... presence, about her. She stands out, whether surrounded by others or not, whether she /wants to/ or not.

And for the most part, her focus lies on those in the distance, fighting against each other so fervently. But her inhuman ears bring her the conversation regardless, and she opts to speak up in response to Alif and Gerard. "Do you consider either side of that battle in the distance to be an enemy?"
Freya Freya arrives! She human sized right now. She got here by walking at her normal gaint size then shrunk down as when she got close. She doesn't want to attract too much attention yet. She look on that battle in the distance. "So pointless...", she says. She looks over at Alif waiting to her plan on getting the weapons from the outpost.
Emiya Shirou     When Emiya SHirou arrives it's via motorcycle. A clunky-looking, somewhat rusted, sputtery motorcycle that's been barely restored to serviceability. The startling thing is how well it's handling the snow and ice. The bike's definitely been prepared for an odd ride. Probably nobody'll detect the subtle magic running through many crucial parts of the mechanical beast, increasing its efficiency and especially increasing the traction those tires are getting.

Shirou's gotten better at Reinforcement, that's for sure! If only a little. He's also gotten smarter about using it!

The bike putters to a halt just behind a snow bank. Shirou cuts the engine, hops off, and leaves his helmet dangling on the handlebars.

He's ready for the cold weather and even a battle, not that anyone can see the protective gear under his jacket.

"I heard the call for help. What's going on out here?"

For sure he can see some of what's hapening in the distance. But only briefly and barely...
Tomoe SO here she was she had bene wary on this world she admitted but she's not about to let people get slaughted by Ragnarok so here she was. She came as Tomoe which really was her main face to the multiverse that most people knew her as anyway. She looked to all the world to be some sort of Fair Folk, a Salamander, okay once she was she's an Alf now but really that's not something most people would catch. While she had her wings out she's not too far off the ground as she arrives, she's clearly a close up fighter from the mix of plate, and leather she's wearing. Also she bears strange red crosses on a number of parts of her armour. She's also bearing one handed sword in one hand as she arrives she's looking to see where best to strike and she nods slightly to Alif as she decends fully to the ground, her featerying red wings vanishing as she does so. She looks over to Shirou.

"Ragnarok. A battle's going to wreck a base that has weapons we need to salvage."
Staren     The world undergoing Ragnarok needs help. Staren tries to get an idea about what he's up against. Giants, twenty or thirty feet tall? Hmmm...

Staren doesn't do subtle very well. There's a sonic boom as the Star Hawk descends from the skies, quickly slowing down and transforming into the plane-with-arms-and-legs hybrid mode and coming in for a landing near the others, then transforming into a 40-ft-tall humanoid robot just before landing. The Star Hawk Mk. W is descended from the machine once called a Valkyrie on another world, and it shows in the fuselage-shaped torso -- but it looks like someone took a Valkyrie, chromed it and made it sleeker, and then made the design out of thousands upon thousands of tiny transforming parts, like the Transformers from a certain world. Six large, blocky add-on packs have been attached to the arms, legs, and back, and Staren seems to have traded his usual missile launcher gunpod for a giant laser cannon this time.

The machine kneels by the place where the others are gathered, and opens its cockpit. Staren drops down on some kind of retractable grapple tag, which disconnects once he reaches the ground, pulling back into the armor on his left forearm. "Indeed. So we need to distract those giants. Perhaps by using our own giants... What, exactly, are we trying to get from the base? Do we need... is there anything we need to consider in planning to transport it all, or is it something small but incredibly powerful we can just carry out?"
Alif      It would be a lie to say that Alif hadn't begun to panic a little when she felt Setsuko begin to arrive; it was an unknown signature. But when Setsuko arrived, Alif managed to calm down relatively quickly, giving a soft sigh. "I consider both to be an enemy, as their battles are ruining this world, but the giants are a more pressing, and dangerous enemy." Alif responds, having a brief conversation over the radio band she'd set up before that, focusing on tactics. "I'm also beginning to consider the vikings somewhat less of an enemy, if Inga is someone that I can believe... and thus far she seems to be." Alif adds, to be somewhat kind of fair. "But our worlds differ so that might just be a desperate wish."

Freya's arrival was similarly worrying, but when she shrunk down, a bit less so. She was a bit of an oddity, but she also had come to aid her, so Alif had decided to take it on good faith that she was an ally. "...I feel similarly, but they have some form of feud or something, and that can be a powerful motivator." She hesitates a moment, musing a bit. "Still, either way their battles are threatening my world and destroying much of what we'd built..." Not to mention the winter that had befallen the world. Right now, the skies were clear, but many days it was a blizzard that little could be done about beyond hiding inside.

And then Shirou arrived! Finally, someone who seemed /relatively/ normal! Kind of. Except that from what Alif could tell, that bike he was riding really shouldn't be able to do what it's doing, but there are definitely more pressing things to worry about. "A summary of the tactical situation is thus: There is a military outpost where that battle is raging. I'd intended to go in, gather the equipment, and get out. Unfortunately, once we'd prepared means to carry the equipment, this battle started. Hence why I called for aid. I only have a small amount of combat-ready people so going in with only my forces would potentially be a suicide mission."

Staren REALLY doesn't do subtle well, but luckily, something like a plane isn't AS weird to Alif! ... The fact that it transformed was a bit strange, but since it turned out to be another person responding to the call for help, the small 'army' of spirits at the camp seemed mildly uncomfortable, but it could have been worse. Once Staren addresses Gerard and Alif, Alif gives a small nod. "We have transport for the equipment planned, there's a couple of trucks in one of the tents to carry the equipment. It's largely things such as turrets and weapons from the log we uncovered. But it will help with defense of the city. We can move out whenever you all are ready, though the trucks will be hanging back as the giants seem to like using vehicles as projectile weapons."
Freya Freya listens intently to Alif plan. "I can help carrying stuff to the trucks if need be. But i'll proably be busy dealing with gaints"
Setsuko Kaminagi     "Then I'll spare the vikings, unless they force my hand," Setsuko decides simply. Besides, as Alif noted on the radio, they might be useful tactically besides.

Staren and Freya's arrival prompts the demigod to give each a little nod in turn; it looks like they'll have plenty of firepower to handle the giants. "Freya, Staren. I'm going. Join at your leisure." The plan is already more-or-less solidified. There's little left to do but get to it; with a last nod towards Alif, and a soft, "Good luck," the demigod turns to begin walking towards the battle, and draws her sword.

And then, she simply lifts up off the ground, flying under her own power, and hurtles straight towards the battlefield.

Her plan is simple. With a snap-FLASH of light and sound, the katana in her grip transforms into a blade as wide as she is at the shoulders and twice as long as she is tall; she means to simply fly in behind one of the giants, slash it a shallow wound across the back of the shoulders, and then bank around to keep flying. Upsetting it, and then luring it after her, in short.
Tomoe Tomoe nods a bit. She gets the deal, and she knows things do differ but if it's like her world the Vikings may be here just as a response to the other side. The Giants in the tales on her world? Let's just say it's not a happy thing they got planned for mortal king. She looks for a moment.

She seems ready still she feels wary all things considered. She is however ready to go after the gear. She gets it what they need to get. She could also stuff some things in her inventory she thought.

"I'll do the same I won't go after the Vikings unless they come for me." She now looks ready to go in and go after the Giants her self.
Freya "Off to battle it is then!", Freya says smiling as she start to walks toward the battlefied, shifting up to her normal 50 foot size. It's a impressive sight. "I'll do my best to try and avoid the vikings but I can make any promises!", she pick up her pace now running towards the battle. "What was that battle cry I hear once? I remeber now!"

"LEEROY JENKINSSSSSSSSS!"
Staren     Staren listens. "So... the base itself isn't that dangerous, you need more help distracting and fighting the giants and vikings, than helping get the gear." He nods.

And... two of them run off immediately. "Umm... I guess I'd better get going." He grapples back up into the cockpit, it closes, and the robot leaps into the air... transforming briefly to hybrid mode while flying, then transforming again to land by the giants. "That's right! Leeeroooy Jenkins!" The machine draws twin beam sabers and starts laying into the nearest frost giants!
Emiya Shirou     Relatively normal indeed! Shirou finally catches onto what's going on and is frowning just like that. "There isn't a place in the Multiverse where there's any real peace," he mumbles to himself. RAGNAROK is happening here? SERIOUSLY?!

Can they even WIN that if that's true?

"So it sounds like our best bet is to get that stuff out of there and go before the battle gets too intense. I'll go with the retrieval team! ... Giants are a bit much..."

If Inga believes in this new situation, he'll give all the help he can!
Alif      Alright, the vikings would be spared. That would likely make Inga happy, and keeping her current allies happy was probably a good thing for Alif to do. "Alright. We'll follow close behind you. I'll have some of my spirits join the battle to aid in distracting the giants." Alif says, watching as Setsuko leaves rather abruptly. Well. She was fast. That was a good thing, she thought! When Setsuko engaged the giant, slashing its back... well. It was, predictably, kind of pissed off. It turned to attempt to swipe at her with a large club -- seemingly made more out of ice than anything. Meanwhile, the battle raged, but luckily for Setsuko... the vikings took her as a Valkyrie, and began aiming to avoid shooting her with their arrows. A strange valkyrie, but still, she had come to join the battle against the giants, so she must have been sent by the gods! Or was a god herself, but they more or less assumed valkyrie.

Alif gave a nod towards Tomoe, moving to begin to leave the tent. As they spoke, the sound of a vehicle starting could be heard nearby. Two trucks, though they only had passing resemblance to the older-style trucks. They had a far sleeker, and more futuristic general appearance to them. "I'm going with the trucks to gather the equipment, any who would like to join me are welcome, though I understand if you're more interested in the battle."

As Freya ran to join the battle, there was confusion amongst viking and giant forces alike. She certainly didn't LOOK like a normal giant! Still, the vikings were mostly distracted with the giants immediately there, which resulted in her largely being ...waited for. Which would likely be a good thing in the long run, as the giants were likely to get a nasty surprise when their 'reinforcements' turned out not to be!

"Pretty much, that's a good summary of what's needed. I would honestly prefer the giants killed, they're known to be actively malicious towards humans." Alif responds to Staren, hopping into the back of one of the trucks. Meanwhile, several spirits charge after Staren and the others! Many of them hold various melee weapons, and a few hold weapons that looked somewhat like guns, however they had no obvious firing hole in the tip. Once they got close enough to join the battle though, it would be obvious what those guns were for: They launched blasts of magical energy for the giants, aiding in those arrows that were being unleashed towards the giants!

Shirou is given a small nod, and Alif gives him a welcoming, "I'm glad to have you; the retrieval team is going to have to be small, so having one of the people of the Multiverse along with it will be helpful." Alif settles into the back of the truck, getting ready to, well, wait. "You may join me in the truck or use your own vehicle, whichever you prefer." And then... after Shirou made his decision, the 'convoy' took off! The trucks moved relatively slow, largely so that there was time for the giants to be distracted before they got there.
Alif      As Staren shot at the giant, it gives a howl of pain, turning towards Staren to sweep up several vikings, and attempt to use them as projectile weapons, thrown towards Staren with a giant's strength!
Setsuko Kaminagi     The swipe is met head-on with a sword, the silver-haired woman bringing her weapon up and neatly parrying a blow from a being a good five times her size. Matching it for pure strength, and looking it right in the eyes as she does so.

There is no way it can be mistaken as anything but a challenge.

And with her challenge issued, Setsuko turns and backs away, hurling herself through the air and flinging herself towards the next giant she can see, looking to do something similar. To piss off as many of them as she can, until they realize as a collective that she's going to be a Problem(tm).

Her plan at that point is to simply flit between them, fighting and parrying, while slowly backing off - luring them away from the outpost. Hopefully, Staren and Freya will see what she's doing, and follow suit.
Tomoe Tomoe nods and she gets ready to head out at this point she does bring back her wings at this point, she does however have magic which will fil her ranged need. Okay it's not really magic but hey it's close enouth, right? So away she goes at this point She's going to keep her self low as she goes in she's going to head for hte giants at this point and chants in Norse, the accent would make any speaker's weap but the light rays are seeking out one of the giants.
Emiya Shirou     Shirou decides to enter the truck! and leave his clunky bike behind. For a very good reason. If he's not driving, he can focus...

"Trace... on." And for the most part he's silent... for the better part of a good minute or so during the ride, anyways.

"Man. Hopefully INga knows what she's getting into out here!"
Staren     Staren tries to cut down some of the giants... and then... they start picking up vikings and /throwing/ them at him.

Staren's not sure what to make of this. He never would have imagined such an attack. It's... not the best way to fight a 40 foot tall death machine. There are thuds and screams, or perhaps sickening cracks of broken bones, or maybe the giants throw them /really/ hard, cracking and denting futuristic armor and making an aftermath that looks like cans of tomato paste were thrown really hard.

    It's not pretty, either way.

When Staren recovers from his surprise, he sees Setsuko backing off, and follows her lead -- he slashes the swords, threateningly, but starts backing away slowly, after her.
Freya Freya is smiling just a bit it not often she goes up against opppents her size.. She bring her fist back and clobbers one of the giants right in the jaw! That should get his attention and hopefully a few more as well.

"Bring it on!"
Alif      That was one thing the giant had not expected. A parry. Seriously, a tiny human just parried a GIANT swinging a weapon! What the fudge?! And ... that challenge. Oh, the giant was PISSED. It /howls/ its rage, and tries to swing again at Setsuko! Only... she's gone. off to annoy one of the other giants! "GET BACK HERE!" The giant howls, beginning to chase after Setsuko -- even as arrows rain from above. Setsuko was definitely succeeding in her plan, as gradually, giants began to focus on her instead of the vikings.

Poor norse or not, it was norse! Which fit in well in this situation. Also the rays of light struck hard! And the giants really didn't like all these rays hitting them. Arrows were one thing, they mostly just got stuck in their thick skin... but rays of light, lasers, and giant swords of doom? Yeah things were getting unpleasant pretty quickly.

Crack, thud, screams! Being surprised was possibly a dangerous thing for Staren, as one of the giants approached him. The giant was wielding a giant sword in its hand, wrought of iron and with a slightly dulled blade. A howl of rage escapes the giant as it swings the sword towards Staren's giant robot, one of its arms hanging loosely from previous attacks on it. The plan was working, and the giants were getting distracted -- and the battle was beginning to move away from the military outpost that was to be raided.

THUD! The giant Freya approached, not expecting another giant to attack it... well, it was clobbered. And that was unpleasant. Still, the giants were tough if nothing else! And it lifts its hand to begin to attack Freya back. The easiest way it could. It began to punch back at her, intent on slugging her right in the face in return! Hah! Take /that/, giant woman! Yes, a giant fist fight might just be breaking out.

Meanwhile, on the truck, Alif gave a slightly dull chuckle. "I hope so as well, she's largely being my informant as to what's supposed to happen; we weren't prepared for this 'ragnarok' thing that's happening." Alif says, shaking her head a bit. The ride was fairly easy, the trucks had been outfitted for driving on snow, and it wasn't long until they were beginning to near the facility. "Alright." Alif pulls out a small map, blueprints of the outpost. "We managed to get this from an old military computer. The weapons cache should be right... here." She points to one of the lowest rooms, "Hopefully it should just be a quick in and out... hopefully."
Staren     Staren is sure the army is truly fearsome when they're /all coming for you/, but one or two giants, ten or twenty feet shorter than his machine? It's... it's somewhat underwhelming. But if they don't have to face the full might of the army today, that's good!

One swings a blunt sword. Staren tries to parry it with a giant robot hand. He looks around at the nearby armor... trying to gauge whether they're being led away enough, or whether he needs to give them some more encourgament.
Freya Freya brings her arm to block the incoming attack still hurts but not as bad as if she got smacked in the face. She with her other hand punches the attacking giant right in the gut!
Emiya Shirou     "'Ragnarok' for my world is a tale from Norse mythology. It describes the final battle at the end of the world." Shirou states plainly. "A battle where many gods die and the world's hit with one big disaster after another!" But that's when he starts sounding heatedly worried about this. What can he do if it actually IS Ragnarok?

Well those WERE giants out there.

He's sitting up quickly and looking at the map...

"A military base? Wouldn't there be guards and security to break through?"
Setsuko Kaminagi     Once she has the attention of several giants, Setsuko finally stops in the air and flourishes that tremendous sword of hers, waiting for them to approach. It looks as if she's standing her ground, but as they move in to attack, as the swordswoman whips her weapon around and begins to parry, strike, to attack and counterattack, she slowly begins to move backward in the air. On the surface, it look as if they're too much for her, as if she's giving ground because having several giants to fight at once is starting to overwhelm her. But that impression is exactly the one she wants to give; she's moved in such a way that their backs are all to the facility, and the more 'ground' she gives, the further away they get. Once they're at a safe distance, however, it's awfully tempting to do more than just distract...
Tomoe Tomoe is doing the magic it seems well pysdo magic she's trying to not end up squished, it could be worse right? She's got trick those fighitng her. She does take to teh skies now and hovers above chanting again, this time it's a single arrow of light she launches as the runes dance about her body. However to those who can sense magic or the like? There is none actually at work here. She can only hope she cna help buy the recovery team the time they need.
Alif      The hand likely easily catches the sword! However there was a downside to this, most likely. The giant was STRONG. There was possibly a decent chance that Staren's mechs' hand just got heavily damaged. And as Staren stops the blade, the Giant moves to throw its weight into the mech afterwards, trying to send it off-balance! Largely attempting to use the momentum of the original sword swing to do that! On top of that, another giant came up behind Staren's mech, attempting to make use of a giant spear to stab THROUGH the center of the robot's back, assuming it was an armored being, rather than a robot. Luckily for Staren, his robot probably doesn't have a spine to stab through, but it probably wasn't good for it either way!

Right in the gut! The giant seemed winded for a few moments, even doubling over somewhat! However he moved in low, attempting to charge into Freya's stomach and bring her off-balance and down! And even if it didn't successfully knock her over, it might knock the wind out of HER stomach as well!

Three, four giants... strike, parry, strike, strike! The giants swung giant swords and hammers, some of them holding icy clubs to try and beat her with! They seemed heartened by the fact this strange person was backing off! Meanwhile, the vikings let out a cry as they charged, beginning to attempt to swarm, climb, and stab into various parts on the giants! They would protect the 'Valkyrie'! They would use her advantage to bring these giants down! Being distracted was very quickly proving to be a /bad/ idea for the giants, as the vikings were not an incompetent army!

"I'm really hoping to deter that 'end of the world' thing, if possible." Alif responds to Shirou, as the truck begins to near the half-buried outpost. "Not really, the base has been abandoned for a while, what few guards that remained probably left after this great winter began..." Alif murmurs. Soon, they were at the base, and several of her spirits quickly began to dig out one of the main doors. It wouldn't be long until they could get inside... but there was also a huge hole in one of the ceilings. "The defenses should be disabled by now, since they use an old style of electricity that we no longer use." Probably. And if not, she could probably hack them. However, the next door was ajar, and there were sounds coming from the other side of it. "...Maybe we're not alone." Alif motions towards her spirits, two of them moving to either door... before quickly bashing the door open, moving to take defensive positions just on the inside of the room. And... there was someone inside, that was for sure. She seemed 'human', however her clothing was strangely reminiscent to the giants outside. She stepped back, lifting her hands to the side as she dropped a sword that she'd had in her hands.

Pew! The arrow hits home! Well, sort of. The giant it was shot at lifted its hand to catch it with its hand, as it began to charge after Tomoe. Rather than attempt to attack or swing a sword at her, the giant reaches to attempt to swipe her straight out of the air, intent on catching her in its giant hand! If it was successful, Tomoe should try to get out quickly... because it was beginning to open its mouth...
Freya Freya purposely takes the attack and falls down, proably squishing a few vikings as well. Not the best postion to be in but she keeping the gaint attention focused on her. She punches the gaint a few times in the face. "Get off of me!"
Emiya Shirou     "Maybe not. Trace off, freeze out!" Emiya Shirou's quick to leap through the entranceway once it's bashed in. Power sizzles in his palms, congealing into Kanshou and Bakuya swiftly and smoothly without most of the usual flare of clumsy wasted prana. The advantages of taking time to prepare, probably!

When he spots just who Alif's been speaking about though, Shirou blinks a few times. A girl, but a very unusual girl... and unusually armed.

    "Who are you?!"

He's not just dumbly standing there either. His gaze sweeps across the room quickly and briefly. Sir Bedivere's training is sinking in!
Setsuko Kaminagi     Back, back, further and further, Setsuko puts her swordsmanship to the test in holding off four opponents five times her size, and doesn't so much as flinch from the challenge. If anything, she seems to come more alive; as she whips and whirls Zanjintou around herself, fending off attack after attack, focusing solely on defense and falling back foot by foot in the air, her eyes almost seem alight with energy and determination, drawing vigor from the battle itself.

And when the vikings begin to attack as well, the swordswoman decides now is the time to act.

Zanjintou ceases to parry attacks. The blade formed of pure divinity given physical form turns, and she begins swinging her strikes /at/ the weapons. Impossibly sharp and massive, backed by the weight of War, the colossal blade can carve through even steel with ease; Setsuko plans, quite simply, to cut right through each of their weapons in turn, and then lunge forward into a low spinning slash that will slice open the legs of the nearest giant to her. "HAAA!"
Staren Staren knocks the blade aside, but his eyes widen in surprise at the impact and force it took. He can't keep doing that, or the hand /will/ be rendered inoperable. And the giant is rushing him, pushing... freaking supernatural strength! He knows they're strong, but he hasn't really seen just /how/ strong until his robot is shoved back... His sensors saw the giant sneaking up behind him, but the /shove/ was unexpected. It also provides the force needed for the other giant to pierce armor with its spear. A damage alarm appears in Staren's HUD. Armor pierced, reactor array partially damaged. He has power to spare for now, but...

    ...This fight just got serious.

He stabs both beam swords down into the giant in front of him. The packs on the legs fire curving beams of light at the giant behind him. He starts trying to kick the giant in front away, then decides not to stay down here. Time to cheat. He leaps into the air, jets in the back and legs kick in. The right arm pack opens its front panel, and three barrels spin up and start unleashing a hail of hypersonic metal slugs, and he begins spinning, to hit giants in front and then behind him...
Tomoe Tomoe is moving fast she's however not expecting something to try and eat her, this is where it's get back She not quite fast enough as she tries to evad ethe giant gets something it gets Tomoe's arm and she screams, ther'es no blood just a horrible digital distortion where her bloody stump should be and hte arm just explodes into shards of light as Tomnoe starts go crash /hard/.
Alif      The woman doesn't speak, in fact, she instead backs off. A group of people seemed to be more than she wanted to fight, and while she was a giant, she didn't appear to be armed or armored. Possibly just curious? She backed towards the wall, not going for the weapon, which had been dropped. Possibly she was some form of scientist or wisewoman, herself? Importantly though... even though she was not offering attacks at present, she did not look scared. After a few moments of silent staring, she suddenly attempted to make a break for the doorway! She was strong enough to knock aside the spirit guards, but if Shirou attempted, his blades could probably catch her... but she seemed more interested in simply fleeing than fighting. "...Shit, what was she doing in here?" Alif asks, more to herself than anything. Meanwhile, several of her soldiers quickly began to secure the rest of the building -- which, beyond having to disable a couple of security systems, was largely easily completed.

The battle between Setsuko and the giants was perhaps short-lived, as that blade suddenly cut through the weapons of the giants, though they continued to fight --they could not effectively defend against a blade of that supernatural power. They were basically grunts, and did not have any supernatural powers of their own... beyond endurance and strength. And while they were not speaking much, the giants were not mindless. As one of the giants is felled by the vikings, and another has its leg cut straight off... the other two that were fighting Setsuko opted for the much more intelligent option: They fled. Though it would be hard to tell, at the same time as the smaller giant...

As Tomoe is grabbed... while there was some crushing, it was more like the giant was attempting to catch an annoying fly than actually crush her. As she screamed and began to crash... the giant began to lift Tomoe up above its mouth, tongue sticking out. However, it seemed to be taking a strangely long amount of time to do so... possibly out of confusiong as to why her arm exploded into shards of light?

Staren's giant robot was damaged, and the giants had succeeded, perhaps they could fell this strange metal giant! ... Oh crap there were laser swords. As Staren slashed the giant in front of him, it howled. It did not go down easily, having already taken strikes before... but it was definitely dead now, cut into several pieces from Staren's assault. Meanwhile, the one at his back! Well, it fared a bit better. It didn't die immediately, though the blasts did rather heavy damage. It had enough life left in it to begin to limp away, attempting to flee the battlefield. Of course, with the vikings chasing after it, it was likely it wouldn't get far.

PUNCH! PUNCH! PUNCH! Getting struck in the face repeatedly by a larger being, that is quite possibly stronger than you... well. It wasn't particularly good for anyone, even giants. With each punch, there began to be an unsettling cracking, squelching noise... until the giant simply stopped moving. It could not, however, obey Freya's command to get off of it, as it was now quite dead.

This battle had been won, it seems, as all of the giants were either dead, or beginning to flee now. Well, except the one attempting to eat Tomoe, but it was stupid for over-focusing on that.
Freya Ew. Ew. Ew. She pushes the dead gaint carass off of her.. She got blood and guts all over her clothing.. She erks seeing Tomoe is grabbed and knocks the giant in the back of the head! "No eating my friends!"
Setsuko Kaminagi     The swordswoman floating in the air comes back up to a ready stance after her low-altitude slash, prepared to finish off the remainder; but she sees them fleeing the battlefield, the last felled by the vikings below, and the others falling to her allies, and realizes that this fight is more or less over. With the air of ritual, the demigod whips her sword around her one last time, finishing with it in a straight vertical position, and declares, "There is nothing my Zanjintou cannot cut." With another snap and soft rush of air, the blade returns to its base form of a katana, and she returns it to its sheath with a flourish.

Her eyes turn down to the vikings below briefly; she isn't sure what they think of her, but she can see some sort of reverence, and that speaks volumes as to the impression they have. Rather than disabuse them, she simply gives the warriors a bare, respectful nod, and then turns to fly back towards the base. With that taken care of, they should check in on Alif and her group.
Staren     Giants are starting to flee. Good. He's making an impression. The Star Hawk turns, bombarding the giant army with railgun and beams of light. "Surrender and return this world to its inhabitants, or die." he announces over the loudspeakers.

They're fleeing. He considers whether to kill them... every giant dead is one they won't have to fight later... but he still has a /sliver/ of hope that this might be resolved. So he'll let them flee.

The one trying to eat Tomoe is a problem, though. He lands behind it, about to cut it down with his beam swords.
Tomoe Tomoe is recovering from the feed back at this point but it might need some help she lost her arm, she's now hefted up. The Giants are falling but this one is going to be eating her as she finally pushes through the feedback. She looks up and attemps to get free. Thankfully Freya is on the job and decks the giant, she goes flying into the ground with a crash, but she'll live as she's still moving right. However that's no blood as she finally rises? Her stump of an arm has this strange red wiredrame nature to it and Tomoe seems to be all right otherwise. The fate od the Giant? She has no idea right now...
Emiya Shirou     "Ghh---" Well if she's just brushing aside the spirits and running, Shirou's not going to get in her way. Shirou sidesteps quickly rather than attack, for he's simply too chivalrous to attack a fleeing woman when he doesn't even know what they were doing!

"Wait! Geeze, it's dangerous out there!"

... On the other hand he's dense enough to think a fleeing woman-maybe-giant is probably someone worth protecting.

    "What about the weapons...?!"
Alif      Hitting someone that's trying to eat someone is rather effective, really. Freya's hit causes the giant's mouth to close rather forcefully, biting down HARD on its tongue. Possibly even severing it. Partially, if not entirely. Either way, it's not eating Tomoe now, who has gone flying to the ground. Luckily, it's only like a 15 foot drop, since this was one of the shorter ones! And the ground was snow, so kind of sort of softer than one might normally expect from falling.

The nod from Setsuko is given a cheer from the vikings, who then begin to swarm over the fallen giants. They were beginning to work at claiming trophies and similar of the battle... and afterwards they would begin to march off to wherever they were needed next, directed by a Valkyrie.

Since the giants were already fleeing, and the vikings were beginning to leave, Staren's threats fall on either terrified or uncaring ears! However, the giant that he was preparing to cut through would be quite ripe for the picking, as it was kind of panicking over the fact that it was bleeding out through the tongue right now. It might actually be a kindness to end its life right now. A quick death over a slow one!

The giant doesn't really respond to Shirou; though she does remember his words. She would not forget that he had cared for her well-being! ... As foolish as it might be. Unless she was stopped, the giant woman would simply flee the battlefield to parts unknown. Alif, meanwhile, lifts a hand to her ear, listening to one of her soldiers speak. "...Secured; if we add that one to it." She says, motioning to the one the woman had been holding and/or examining. Alif moved to pick it up, carefully examining it herself. "But the weapons were honestly the less important thing in the long run."

And then Alif's soldiers began to bring out boxes. Some of them were carrying weapons, others were carrying armor, but the majority of them? They were carrying boxes of rations, clean water, and medical supplies. After all, weapons were important... but weapons were useless in the hands of the starving and dehydrated.
Freya Freya ahh at the gaint woman! She doens't see many others like hersefl! She just lets her go she didn't attack them and seeing another like her is very rare..
Staren     "Tomoe, are you alright?"

Staren leaves the giant be for a moment -- Freya has dealt with it. He stands to watch and make sure no more enemies approach the lab.

After a moment, he realizes what happened to the giant. He turns and considers it for a moment, then stabs it in the neck to quickly execute it. A mercy killing.
Tomoe Tomoe says "I'll be fine...I suffered worse."

She watches the Vikings depart with the Valkyrie's direction. She takes a moment to get to her feet as she looks over everyone e over she shakes her head a little bit.

"I'll be fine once I reset later, is there anything else I'm needed to help here. Let's get out of here with the supplies..."
Freya Freya nods in agreement with Tomoe. "I need a bath anyway."
Emiya Shirou     "What's she thinking, running into a warzone?!" Shirou blurts, worried so much he sounds furious at this development! But he doesn't go chasing even though an urge in him says he probably should. He has to protect Alif and the mission too...

"Then let's hurry up. The others are still fighting!" He quickly joins the labor force...
