Wally West The evening has claimed the great city of Urbania and at a Museum, the evening has only begun. The defenses were down all because inside a group have taken it over all in the hunt for one item. A diamond, at least that is what the guards were able to get out from the inside.

Worse the defenses have blocked out officers from getting inside and someone has overridden the security. No one knows what is going on inside and police cars have swarmed the area, along with a SWAT team attempting to break down the metal shudder that is between them and actually getting inside.

Once they do get it down though and kick it over, that is when they suddenly have to get out of the way as bullets go flying out of the hole, nailing one of the officers in the arm. It seems this gang has this place held down and more then likely have yet to find what they are after.
Gakupo Kamui     Gakupo's no speedster, but he's quite a bit faster than a normal human. So when he wants to ensure that no humans are harmed as he approaches the site of trouble, he takes to the roofs. Running and leaping over tall roofs, left hand resting on the sheath of his katana, tucked in his hakama's waist tie. He leaves the sword in the sheath for now.

As the the Vocaloid heads to the museum, he sends a message to the police in the area that he is on his way. It includes his UEF ID number and profile; he's legit. And it wouldn't do to be shot by the police as he arrives! And speaking of which, there he is, jumping down from a building, landing on one knee, cracking the pavement under his feet.

He stands, gives a wince at the damage-- he's heavier than a human after all-- but there's nothing he can do about it now. He instead goes to the where the officers are, keeping out of line of fire for the time being. "What's the situation?" he asks the one who seems to be in charge. Intel first, THEN go in blasting. Figuratively speaking.
Wally West When Gakupo arrives, the police look over to him and then look back toward the only entrance right now. "We can't override the security system as they have us complete blocked out and while we have an entrance now, as you can see, they got it pretty well fortified."

The officer shakes his head. "When we able to get a hold of one of the guards, he said there is at least fifteen men and one, well, blur. Apparently someone that moves so fast if you probably blink your eyes, you'll miss him."
Bahamut      While Kamui talks with the officers, there is a roar overhead. A look up would show a 15-foot long humanoid dragon is flying around overhead, slowly making his way downward. He lands carefully, but the effort of such a landing means his broad wings flap particularly hard, practically kicking up a windstorm.

Once he is on the ground, he lets out a rumble before crossing his arms over his chest, his intense gaze focusing on those doors. "What is the situation?" he asks in a deep, booming voice that is quite characteristic of a dragon.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa had just been in the area but hey it was theft and she's no slouch at this point as she shows up a bit after the battling Vocalnoid. She does however flash she's a Syndicate affiliate to the officer. However she pauses at his words about the suspect's speed.

"A blurr huh? Good thing I don't need to blink."

Kotone notes as she adjusts a few setting of her own. She shifts her weight a bit and now she's opening her network connections seeing if there are any camera feeds she can get into to see if she can spot this speedy crook.
Wally West Kotone would find she run right into that wall the officer brought up. Its a computer mathematical algorithms that is constantly shuffling the firewall. Not unbreakable, but its pretty complex, pretty AA grade stuff.

The Officer then looks over to Bahamut, "As I told him here," Jabber his thumb at Gakupo, "Fifteen men are in there guarding our way in and there is a very fast elite somewhere in there as well. They are after a very rare diamond, only two like in it the world."

The group may notice that during all the gun fighting, none of the officers have been killed at all and what shots are made, are non lethal from the group. They don't even seem to be out to claim lives.

"We are pretty blind to what the full status of things are in there."
Gakupo Kamui     Looking up at the entrance, Gakupo nods. "They'd have you bottlenecked if you went in like that," he observes. "Can you get a remote connection to the security override? I'm not a hacker, but I am a machine. Maybe I can reason with it." Pause. "Er, so to speak. Or if not, maybe my mother can, if I can connect to the system." He sounds totally serious about the 'mother' business.

And then suddenly DRAGON! After the dragon attack in Urbania, Gakupo's a little leery of western-style dragons now. But this one he remembers. Bahamut... he was fighting on their side during that battle. He raises a hand to shield his face from the windstorm, then bows politely to Bahamut once the dust settles. "Hello, Lord Bahamut," he offers.

Kotone shows up and he offers a polite bow to her as well. "Hello," he greets her.. Then a quick introduction, "Gakupo." He waits for the officer's explanation, and the adds to both Kotone and Bahaut, "I'm fast, but I'm not THAT fast. They haven't tried to get out yet, so they probably haven't found whatever it is they're looking for. Museums aren't particularly well-known for things being hard to find, except the exit, so we probably don't have much time."

And then to the dragon, "Lord Bahamut? How impervious to bullets are your scales? You might be able to get us in, since they're shooting at anybody who goes in." He looks to where the metal shutter of a sercurity system has been knocked down over a door. Might be a tight fit though, if it's a regular door.
Bahamut      Bahamut chuckles. "Sadly, I am not impervious to anything. But, my scales are tough. I would easily be able to weather a few volleys of assault weapon fire." he says. He isn't technically a lord anything, but Bahamut isn't going to discourage such an honorific title. "If we simply want in, I could of course smash the front doors." he adds as he observes the museum.

He looks over at Kotone, then down at Gakupo again. "Why? What is your plan?" he says to the machine man. "And...what is she doing?"
Wally West The officer crosses his arms over his chest. "The Museum hadn't even had the Diamond on display yet either, so it still be down in storage. That may be the only thankful thing about this taking them so long."

The Officer looks over to Bahamut, "If you want, you can. Though the owner may be none to happy. We are not even sure what we are going to do if that Elite does come around, you know?"
Kotone Yamakawa "Huh?"

She not hauty about cybersecurity she just didn't expect this level but she's going to mvoe to try to get in. She however can multi task thankfully she doesn't find any major issues with keeping up both these things.

"I'm trying to get feed on our suspect."

She notes.
Bahamut      "Luckily for you, officer, you have three elites here to handle the single elite inside. Whatever it is he wants with the diamond, we will stop him." says Bahamut before starting toward the front door. "The only other option is trying to get in from the roof. At least, for you and the young lady, Sir Gakupo." he says to Kamui.

Bahamut stops in front of the doors, then pops his knuckles. "It is your call. Either way, I will stay here and guard the door to ensure no one gets out."
Gakupo Kamui     "I'm willing to bet an angry dragon busting in is the last thing they were expecting," Gakupo answers Bahamut's first question. "The non-elites you may be able to startle enough for them to stop shooting and buy the officers enough time to get in and start restoring order in there."

The officer's comment gets a nod. "Good, that'll buy us a little more time." As for the elite? "Honestly I don't know either. I'm not that fast. I do have mechanical eyes and sensors, but I don't know if it'll be enough."

As for what Kotone is doing? Gakupo blinks. "I'm... not sure." He'll also open wireless channels and 'poke' at Kotone. She's reacting to something and it's not something he can see. So, being a machine, he naturally assumes it's something on a wireless connection. But there's not a lot he can do to help. Unless...

To Kotone, Gakupo notes, "Wait. If they have control of the security system, I might be able to get my mother to help out remotely." Seeing Bahamut heading to the Museum, Gakupo looks to Kotone once more. "Let me know if you want me to call her." Then he heads in the direction of the door.
Wally West Kotone being a hacker by some alien computers (at least basic kinds) will eventually crack this puppy open and get a hold of the security feeds at long last. Several guards can be seen tied up at different locations. Five guys are there at the entrance, five more on the upper level watching from high up. Two are guarding a door way and three more are wondering around.

As for down in the storage room....

There was indeed a flicker of a black blur image with red streaks that moves by from time to time, until he seems to come to a dead stop. Then walks up toward the camera and looks at it. That reflective visor reflecting the camera in it, he then smirks knowingly, before reaching up and that feed cutting out.

As soon has Bahamut shows up, the gun shots stop and a bunch of ruckus of voices can be heard. Including the sound of moving of boots. Kotone may pick up the fact they are high telling it for the upper levels.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawasays "There's a few guards they are alive and restrained. These guys are smart enough to not add murder to their charge list. She chedks a few other thing she gets a good look but the guy cuts the feed. she'll go after the datsa later as she gets ready to move out. Kotone's got a few little tricks on her side as she moves to follow the others in, but then? She ripples vanishing from view...
Bahamut      With the decision apparently made, Bahamut charges. He barrels into the front door, using the full force of his bulk and his strength to make a Bahamut-sized hole in the wall. And since he is so tall, he might even risk making a hole in the ceiling of the first floor. A fall risk for the criminals above.

Once inside, he makes room for the other two to get past and crouches so his head isn't poking into the ceiling. Assuming this isn't one of those museums that has a huge high ceiling in the lobby. "Attention mysteriously life-conscious criminals! Surrender now or we will come in and subdue you ourselves!" he bellows in his powerful voice. "I am the mighty Bahamut! King of Spiran Dragons and Aeon of Bevelle! And I have with me two other capable elites! You have little chance of success!"
Gakupo Kamui     That's exactly what Gakupo figured was going to happen, too. This means that he himself can act as a shield to get the police in there. He's made of metals and carbon-fibers, a couple shots won't take him down. Which is exactly what he'll do-- he'll wait for the entering force of police and quite literally act as a human shield! Well, android shield.

Kotone's disappearing act will help out! It'll keep her out of direct view as they go into the building. Better yet, Bahamut's battering ram attack should give them all more than enough space to get in.

To the officers-- hopefully some have followed him-- Gakupo replies, "Taking out the elite's backup first is probably the best idea. Let's go find where they've gone. If we come across the elite, get clear and we'll try to handle him." He's not going to promise results, only promise to try.
Wally West As soon has the group moves, the Police SWAT goes in as well and starts to get themselves stationed near the entrance. However it wont take long for the Elite group to locate the real trouble, who is leaning on the turned off Escalator at the top level. "That was some entrance there, dragon king."

The lean speedster with his fiery red, messy hair and reflective visor is holding something in his finger tips and its about the size of a fist really. Its the Diamond and it has a blue sheen to it. "Man, it took you guys long enough. I thought I'd have to wait around all night for some /real/ challenge." The speedster then smirks as he looks over at them, at least who he can see.

Soon several canisters get thrown over the railings from the goons who are with the dark armored speedster. Fog gas starts to fill up the lower area and then goes to escape from the entrance as well. "But I need to get this diamond to my employer and these guys here, well, they are to make sure I keep my end of the job you know? Mercenary life and all that."

Thankfully for Bahamut the area was indeed pretty tall and the mob seems to be hanging up at the upper level, given the fog may not effect him and he'll see them all booking it, while the Mercenary seems to be calmly just chilling out there with the Diamond in his hand as if to taunt them with it.

Though that begs the question doesn't it? Is it the real Diamond?
Bahamut      Bahamut chuckles at the mercenary, then grins. "Well, as the king of dragons I am practically required to make grand entrances." he says, then points a finger toward him. "But, I am afraid you will not be leaving with that diamond. Hand it over, and we will ensure you emerge as unharmed as the officers you have so far spared from harm." he says.

As that fog spreads, Bahamut spreads his wings and flaps them toward the mercenary, attempting to dissapate the fog. "He is at the top of the escalator." Bahamut calls to his allies. "And his henchmen seem to be retreating. Move in now if you are intent on capturing him!" Bahamut makes a move as well. That finger which is pointing at the unknown mercenary sparks with electricity, then a strong but not deadly electric charge fires toward him.
Gakupo Kamui     Gakupo looks up when he hears the voice. He pauses a moemnt, not answering immediately. Why not? Because he's recording this! Not only that, but he's zooming in and enhancing a still from his own internal feed. the image is one of the speedster and the diamond. The costume might make effortsto identify him useless, but they'll at least recognize the costume, once there's a chance to upload it.

There's about enough time for Gakupo 'snap the picture', so to speak, before the cannisters come rolling in. Fog! That's going to make it difficult for Gakupo to see. His mechanical eyes are just cameras, after all. No different than a backup camera on a car. He does have a motion-detect mode, thankfully.

He blinks hard, and his eyes are suddenly glowing red, and the 'white' seems black. It looks sinister, actually. Possibly even eerie. Motion detect mode engaged! Hopefully this will help his sensors keep up with GoFast McSpeedyrun.

And suddenly Bahamut fires electricity! He expects the mercenary to dodge, so he pays attention to where he's going, and plots an intercept course. Not with himself-- he'd never get there in time. As Bahamut fires his electricity, Gakupo's headset glows brightly. Gakupo will wait until the mercenary moves, and then he makes a motion as if to scream.

But what exits is not an audible sound. It's a VISIBLE sound! A bright blue-white ball of what LOOKS like electricity, aimed in the direction he hopes the mercenary will dodge in. It's a sonic burst attack, and the vibration would probably be felt even if it doesn't hit.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone has cloaked for a reason while there are many ways to detect her, you need to be /looking/ for her so to speak she's got an arc thrower as she moves in, she's not sure how effective this is going to be vs a metahuman after all even against things like Mutons and the like it wasn't perfect but it's the best non lethal shot she has as she attemps to come up on Drift and shock him the air will ripple a split seocn before she strikes and starts to fade back into view. The Arcthrower lets off it's powerful jolt, of power enough that it could very well stun the victem but it's not certain after all.
Wally West "No can do!" The Merc says with a shake of his head. "I have a contract to keep." Though when Bahamut goes to blast the lightning bolt, the speedster pushes off in a blur of speed. His foot pushing him back and the crackling of electricity coming in.

While to major arcs don't get him, the out edges do and enough force to zap him a bit off balance. His foot skids a bit to see that visual sonic ball coming right for him. The Speedster back flips away from it avoiding the sonic impact, but the explosive force of the shock-wave after from the sheer vibration, knock him right over.

He rolls with a hand sprint back and then slides a touch back. "I guess you guys are feeling pretty serious about this huh?"

Gakupo probably pick up on any database search over the web that this guy was a Mercenary by the name of Drift, not seeming to really work with anyone beyond the Syndicate Network really.

He tosses up the Diamond and catches it, "Well, sorry losers, but this is-- URK!" ZAAP! Kotone gets him right in the backside, it sizzles and pops as the electrical charge moves around his body, his teeth grit tightly.

The Diamond drops from the Merc's hands and clatters across the floor and he drops to the ground not shortly after! Success!!

Or was it?

While someone like Kotone can pick up the Diamond, the speedster can actually be seen getting back up after a few seconds had gone by saying with a cough, "That... hurt." Though as he was getting ready to probably make a speed dash for the Diamond away from Kotone, he pauses, seeming distracted by a voice over his comm.

He smirks faintly. "Well... guess this is a game changer after all." He then gives them a salute, "So long!" Then bolts away from the group, seeming to just run over the rail, down a pillar and toward the back door.

Where the heck was he going?

The security shutters were still down after all!
Bahamut      Bahamut was told this man was a blur, but to dodge lightning is a pretty amazing feat. Of course, he does have backup. So, when Kamui's shot throws him off balance and Kotone gets him with her own shocking attack, Bahamut chuckles. "Seems he saw the sense in giving up after all." the dragon king says witn a rumble. He isn't going to try moving further inside the museum for fear of damaging relics, so he leaves the retrieval of the diamond to the others.

He watches Drift run for it as best he can, but the dragon is no speedster, so the mercenary is quickly lost to his sight. "Is the back door covered?" he asks a nearby officer.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa face looks impassive it's still as a doll's at the moment. She's moving to go for the Diamoned she doubts she cna hold the speedster for long even tased. She's going to make a grab for the Diamond she knows even with how fast she is? That speedster out classes her. She knows she's not going to catch him and will at least settle for preventing the theft of the item, also their attemps to not leave a body count does not have her heckles fully up as it might be otherwise.
Gakupo Kamui     Gakupo makes to run between 'Drift'-- as he discovers he mercenary to be operating under the name of-- and the diamond so that someone else could pick it up. And then suddenly Drift seems to be heading away? Bahamut's statement gets Gakupo to shake his head. "No. Something distracted him." That's all he offers before hes' after Drift. He's stupidly fast compared to a human, but he's definitely no speedster either. He's not going to catch Drift, but he might at least be able to see where he's going.
Wally West The Speedster is pretty much gone, the goons have found others means to get out as Gakupo would find out as he tries to play keep up. Though Wally comes to a dead stop at one of the exits and rests his hand against the glass, with the metal beyond it.

His eyes narrow behind his reflective visor, before he places both hands on the frame and at super speeds, vibrates the door right off its frame, before tossing it aside, which the glass shatters. "Don't be to thick... don't be to thick..." Drift mutters to himself as he goes to place his hands against the metal and then his whole body starts to become a blur.

Yet somewhere in this he stops and then rests his arms against the metal, heat can be seen rising where his hands actually were. He pounds his fist against it before he laughs. "I... really need to work on this." He then sighs softly, before popping his knuckles with a sigh, "Well... if you can't go through it... you break it down!"

Wally slams his hands against it once more, seeming this time focusing on actually finding the frequency of the molecules to the point where the whole door shutter starts to wobble and bend. Part of the building attached to it start to crack and creak, as bit by bit, the metal shutter between Drift and freedom is starting to be broken apart.

Thanks to Bahamut's question, several officers move. Though they could be to late.
Bahamut      Bahamut shrugs lightly. "Regardless of his reason for fleeing, we seem to have accomplished our objective." he says. Then, he makes his way out of the museum's broken front door and spreads his wings. "Good work, Kotone!" he calls out. Surely he heard her name somewhere during all of this. Bahamut takes to the sky, and circles around the building as quickly as he can to see if he can either cut Drift off, or follow him if he makes it out. Plus, he doesn't feel as restricted outside the building. Flying between skyscrapers is something Bahamut is familiar with.
Gakupo Kamui     By the time Gakupo manages to catch sight of him again, Drift will have easily gotten the shutter open. And it's unlikely that the police, even if they get to the back in time, will be able to prevent someone running close to the speed of sound from escaping. Gakupo heads to the door, looks for Drift... and finds nothing except the torn-open shutter, and possibly policemen. "...Dammit."

Oh well. At least he got pictures of the perpetrator. And he knows that he wasn't acting alone. That's something, anyway. He exits the Museum; do the police need statements? He can turn over all footage and pictures for their investigation, if they want to follow up on it.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks to the dragon for a moment.

"When your not strong, you fight dirty."

She notes she's going to hand off the diamond to the police once she's got a moment as she's not going to be cathing up to Drift, as fast a she is. She does seem to be fairly pleased with her self none the less.
Wally West By the time the police do get to the back, the shutters are torn down and by the time Gakupo gets there, the speedster is gone. Though Bahamut probably would have caught sight of him escaping, giving big ol' draconic wings are faster then human feet, but as Bahamut catches the shutters breaking and Drift running there is a loud sonic BOOM followed in the distance as the speedster breaks the sound barrier.

The Museum does get searched around and things seem in order. The diamond is safe it would seem but the only thing odd is one of the guards who was tied up reports one of the conversations. Apparently Drift reminding one of the men that if anyone killed them or the cops, even overly physical harmed on purpose, the contract would be negated and they would be left to have cuffs around their own wrists.

Is maybe that why Drift suddenly switched motivation? Cause a cop got hit by a bullet earlier? Or was there something far more going on here? That part seems to remain a mystery for now.
