Xiaomu The Bullet of Bullets tournament preliminaries have been going well so far - better for some players than for others, obviously, but Kanokon and Eisen are both doing well so far. The foxy blonde has been relying on a fairly unorthodox combination of tactics, and has few qualms about trying to close the distance when an opponent is particularly stubborn about staying behind cover and not letting her shoot them.

On the other hand, the stage that's been 'drawn' for Kanokon's match with Eisen seems like it's meant to play to most if not all of the strengths: a mix of relatively-intact buildings which promise to force things into fairly close quarters, separated by long, fairly barren spaces with a fairly persistent lack of cover, which would be a sniper's dream come true. There are also stretches of rubble and ruins which would give a decent supply of cover outside of the Sniper's Alley areas ...

Who gets the advantage is probably going to depend on where the combatants spawn into the battle stage.
Tomoe The Redheaded Eisen Blumen, was here for the BOB, the name made her giggle, it had to be a dev joke. The joke might be lost on those that didn't know common English names. Still it made her day and here she is, she knows she's managed to get all the way to the last round. Win or lose she's in the Bob. However getting first would get more attention, also might give her an edge on where she deploys in the final. It should be a heck of a fight, she's brought her shotgun with her, but she is packing a few extra things given the nature of the fight.

She wonders however as she moves into a old building, where is Kanokon hiding? She's now using an old mirror to peek about a corner to see if she can spot anything.
Xiaomu At the moment, Kanokon's only hiding place is an outside wall; she's kind of glad that the GGO avatar creation system doesn't show off her real body's foxy features, since ears or hairtails might poke out of hiding and give away where she is. Not that she isn't used to hunkering down that extra bit further in reality, of course.

As it is, for purposes of the BOB, Kanokon's wearing a sleek and lightly-armored bodysuit, akin to what you'd see some mecha pilots wearing in the right sort of anime. ... Okay, not quite THAT sleek - it's efficient and doesn't hinder her movements, and she's got a helmet on for that extra little bit of protection, with goggles over her eyes and a breath filter mask covering the rest of her face.

She glances around the edge of the wall, speedcrawls across to a corner ... then peeks out long enough to see what light was glinting off of.

Then draws one of her twin pistols and squeezes off a shot at the glint of light. You never know ...
Tomoe Eisen is on alert she's dealing with a tricksy nerdy cos playing fox spirit. Who could also shape shift too, she has to wonder about the sort of pranks she play. That however could make her a very dangerous foe. She takes a moment and moves ahead, however the shot catches her mirror turning it into digital shards. However Eisen now has a lead on Xiaomu and moves she does not strike there she moves to get up to high ground. She just uses the terrain to her advantage doing some stunts that should wow the crowd watching, she now looking down trying to spot where her attacked her, hopefully she can get the drop on her foe.
Xiaomu Given that a stunt like that was going to give her position away in any case? Yeah, Kanokon wasn't going to stay put and watch what happened; as soon as she sees hints of Eisen moving, Kanokon is on the move as well, trying to keep at least one wall between herself and the opponent. As such, she doesn't get to see the stunts that Eisen's doing as she crosses the field ... although she does hear some of them.

End result, when Eisen reaches the top of a building, Kanokon is now INSIDE that same building, putting her stealth skills to work as she rapidly sneaks upstairs, both pistols drawn and ready ...
Tomoe Eisen is going to keep a view for her foe, now where is she, debates, she can be a paitent hunter, she'll set up to get on the roof to wait. She's confident she can bail from here. She's got the agility to do so. She sets up her ambuish and moves to set a grenade primed to go off if someone opens teh door on to the roof. She simply now must wait.
Xiaomu And sure enough -

**BOOOM!!!!!**

The trap goes off as Kanokon lets out a yowl of pain; she realized the door was trapped at almost the same moment that the trap was sprung, and while she's far enough back to get *some* protection, that still carved away a substantial chunk of her HP. She kicks the door back open, though, and is firing with both of her handguns as she comes out through what's left of the roof-access door - a combination of suppression fire and actually firing for effect, trying to carve away Eisen's health bar at the same time as her barrage is hopefully denying the other gunner a chance to get a clear shot back at Kanokon.

"That was pretty crafty!" Kanokon shouts over her own gunfire, grinning despite whatever pain the system is directing to her perceptions as a reminder that she just got hurt pretty badly. "You forget how cunning a live player can be compared to the AI - and my opponents so far haven't been that kind of tricky!"
Tomoe Eisen looks as the trpa works and she's going to mvoe in on Kanokin without much of a word. The shots are coming she's bounding around. She gets cliped, but she does not go down. She does however start shooting with her shotgun. She also smirks.

"Given my life it pays to be sneaky when you need to be!"

Given her spaz-12 she's got heck of a lot of shots to fire at Kanokon as zhe bounds about the roof just trying to supress Xiaomu.
Xiaomu It's also not like Kanokon's going in a straight line once Eisen starts returning fire; in fact, she's going in as far from a 'straight line' as possible - leaping and twirling and dodging, even throwing an expended magazine at her shotgun-wielding opponent before she does a spinning, twisting leap that looks like a cartwheel without the handspring. A fresh magazine gets slapped into the empty handgun -

And with a fair amount of luck, Kanokon can close the distance enough to get her handgun up against the SPAS-12 and use THAT pressure to pull back the slide, chambering the first round from the new magazine. Her other handgun isn't empty yet, and comes up to try and get a shot into Eisen at point-blank range.

Mind you, Eisen's almost certainly been taking out additional pieces of Kanokon's HP bar this whole time, thanks to the scatter from standard buckshot ammunition. So a point-blank shot at Eisen might only even them out at an excitingly low HP bar for each of them.
Tomoe Eisen is moving and shooting when she can. She flips backwards to avoid some of the fire coming at her. She hit again but it's not enough to take her out however. She knows that Kanokon is no weakling adn she's going to have ot play it. She however hasn't loaded just buck shot as noe she hits the slug rounds she loaded in the gun's payload.
Xiaomu Of course Kanokon is still putting a high premium on not getting hit directly - and even when her off-hand gun clicks on empty, she doesn't take the time to reload it just yet. As much as Eisen's trying to open the distance up between them again, Kanokon is constantly trying to close it and get back into what *should* really be melee range ... and really, this is the part where slugs are a mixed blessing. Sure, a direct hit at this range will STILL put Kanokon out of the fight - but it's that much easier for her to avoid taking further injury, since slugs don't spread like regular shot.

There's also the difference between their weapon sizes to consider: a shotgun is a two-handed longarm, while Kanokon's pistols give her a lot more room to maneuver. Additionally, it takes a lot longer to stick extra rounds into a shotgun than it does to swap a handgun's magazine. On which note ...

"KANOKON LARIAT!!"

Kanokon surges forward and does a wide-armed pirouette, trying to catch Eisen in the center of it. The object isn't so much to whack Eisen physically, though - instead, Kanokon's twirling around and shooting whenever her handgun lines up with her target. If Eisen can keep up with her, though, this is another key moment of vulnerability - and Kanokon only has bullets left in ONE of her handguns.

Until she finishes, anyway. She may be empty by that point.
Tomoe She knew Kankon had a few ticks but Eisen's got a lot of experience this is still perhaps more of a game to Kankon than it is to her. This could be an edge or it could get her butt handed to her. she does however notice the attack coming in for her. She sees the incoming attacks and she's fast enough to be evading the shots for the moment she sees the vulnerability and she moves in ending to catch Kanokon in and up close when moves in at Xiaomu she moves in and drops her gun, wait what she moves to grab Kanokon and does something that might be very unexpected and it's partially calculated, to get people's attention on her.

Kanokon is embraced by Eisen who has an amused look on her face.

"So how about a show humm?"

She move in go grab her foe and /kiss/ her, when she does she moves her hand on the other's back and presses something in that small part of your back you can't reach. She's going to move to break lose at this point and try to get to cover before her present goes off. Eisen thinks if this doesn't get people talking about The GU? Nothing will!
Xiaomu Who goes for a kiss in the middle of a gunfight? It's absolutely gotta be a trick ...

Which is why Kanokon latches onto Eisen with both arms, pulling her close and *holding* the kiss. Poor Eisen is probably getting more than she expected ...

And with any luck, when the bomb goes off - well, Kanokon knows she's losing as soon as she feels something getting planted on her back where she can't get it off. She's just aiming to zero Eisen's HP along with her own ... not for spite, or even for her pride as a gamer, but just because 'why not'.
Tomoe Eisen thought it was a good way to get attention however Kanokon is holing on she trues to break lose but her strength stat isn't the best here, it's not bad but it's not enough for her to break lose. she's held in the kiss the charge explodes, and goes off in a blast is more than enough finish both players leaving it at a draw.
