Dukemon X The Strait of the Americas is a rather busy place, though one area of the sprawling city after city has become active with some great concern. After some strange events, people have started to go missing and typically nothing is left in this attacker's wake. No body, rarely any blood, and nothing linking it to the killer itself.

Clean scenes and it was causing a great deal of frustration for the officers of the law. All to clean of scenes and little to sometimes, no evidence at all. The biggest hint they had was three deep claw marks in the stone, some burn marks, and the damage to the cop car. This scene was tapped off, at least until they cleaned up the location only leaving behind the char remains and the marks in the building.

One creature has come in curiosity to these events, a small four foot Guilmon X. While reports have warned that night was dangerous, the Digimon had no reason to believe that the beast would return back here again-- or maybe he was silently hoping he would. His nostrils flares as he sniffed the area around the location, trying to keep himself hidden in the ally.

Those gold eyes looking at where the blood would have been, the claw marks, and then down to his own claws. His eye ridges narrowed, before he trotted over their carefully, extending out his three clawed paw hand, and checking the marks with his own...
Blurr     There's someone else here who is on the case, in fact someone whom Duke might recognize. Parked in the alleyway where he is carefully examining the footprint is a slick blue and futuristic-looking hovercar.

Blurr had heard the reports about the humans' technology in the area acting up recently, and since he himself is technically a super-advanced AI, he thought it might be something he could look into.
Dukemon X The Guilmon X pondered over the size of the claw marks. They were larger than his own, but Alexis own words rang in his head, but no---- he couldn't have done this, the time periods down match up. The red dino-dragon let out a soft sigh of some silent relief in his own mind, as his ear fins moved back slightly.

Yet as he moved away from the wall, that is when something caught his eye. A strange look car that seemed a touch out of place and--- something he has sworn he has seen before from TV. His tail moves side to side gently as he stares at the vehicle, then gently tilts his head.
Blurr     Hmm, this guy looks kind of familiar. But Blurr doesn't -quite- remember where it was he'd seen him. But yeah, he does look rather out of place. And he does kind of look like something one might see on TV.

Quite suddenly, the vehicle Duke is staring at starts -talking-. "Have I met you before? Because you look really familiar."
Dukemon X The vehicle talks and Duke blinks his eyes a few times, "uh... uh.." blink blink. "I don't think so?" he says bringing up his index claw to the front of his muzzle in some confusion in thought, before he tilts his head to the side. "Though sorry if I disturbed you. I was looking into something out here, worried it may be one of my own kind... though really hoping it wont be." He says that last part looking back at the claw marks.
Blurr     "Yeah? So what are you, exactly?" Blurr asks. Suddenly, the blue hovercar starts to unfold, and the Autobot stands up into his biped form. "Whatever it was, it had the ability to tap into human technology and wreak havoc with the code. That sound like something you can do?"
Dukemon X "I'm a Digimon." Duke explains watching as the car becomes a very large robot and causes the Guilmon X to take a few steps back. "And I am... not sure if we do?" He doesn't seem very sure even in his voice. "I know we are digital monsters though."

Duke's ear fins drop back a bit. "Though I have no idea what you are and I do swear it wasn't me who did this! I would never hurt people knowingly!" Now he--- sort of knows how Ferham, Gogo, and Alexis felt that night.
Blurr     "Oh, no, no of course not." Blurr shakes his head. "I'm not saying I think you might have done it, just trying to see we can shed some light on the perpetrator, if you think it might be one of your own kind." He pauses, pensive. "Hm, digital monsters? What do you mean? You can exist in cyberspace?"
Dukemon X Duke sighs a mild bit of relief before he hrms gently. "It may have been one of my own, but they were much bigger then me." His gold eyes close for a moment in thought, before they open again to Blurr's question. "Hm? I suppose so? We came from a Digital World that wasn't much different from many other worlds. Had blue skies, clouds, trees, streams, rivers, all that kind of stuff."

The Guilmon X lowers his head as his voice takes on a tone of sadness, his ear fins matching, "Then it was destroyed by Yggdrasil... our god... and he created a new Digital World... but nearly all of us were not allowed to return to it. We would have been dead if not for the Unification, that gave us portals out, so we ran before we could be deleted."
Blurr     "Huh, so like a giant virtual reality, kinda?" Blurr wonders. It's probably not a good comparison. But that's what it sort of sounded like to him. "Well anyway I know what it feels like to have your home planet basically destroyed." he says soberly. "Except in our case we were the ones who turned it into a wasteland, not someone else."
Dukemon X Duke mms gently at Blurr explanation and he looks back at the markings once more, then to the char location. "If it was one of my own who did this-- if was another Digimon. They are hunting and hurting people who can't defend themselves."

Duke eyes narrow gently. "I'm not sure what kind of Digimon they are or what level of stage, but from the marks and the char prints... they maybe be an adult or perfect." The Guilmon X's tail twitches gently "You should keep an eye on the people, make sure if someone is out, they are being monitored. No telling when it may strike next."

The Guilmon X then starts to walk back to the alley. "I'm going to be in the area too, so hopefully I'll find it and cut it off before it can really hurt anyone... and... and hope they can be reasoned with..."
