Soundwave Over the past few weeks, Soundwave has been searching for signs of Autobot bases from the Transformer-2 universe. Used to be you could almost trip over one, but since Unification they've become quite scarce. Yesterday, however, that changed. A familiar ping came up from the Strait of the Americas, the tell-tale signs of a dark and abandoned Autobot base.

He's had a full day to get allies and equipment ready, and he's leaving little to chance. Just because a location has been abandoned does not mean it will stay that way.

A Confederate transport ship flies through the nearest warpgate and lands on the ground in the valley of a small hill range, a fair distance away from any population centers. About 100 yards away is a pair of massive metal doors buried deep in a hillside, and not quite closed either -- there's a gap between the doors big enough for humans (or similar) to slip through.

Rumble disembarks first, tossing an Earthen microcassette recorder into the air. The device transforms into Soundwave's full 30-foot tall frame, and the Decepticon barely misses a step as he lands and walks towards the doors. "-Mission parameters: enter facility, find the holomatter generator, and leave as quickly as possible.-"

The laser sight on his shoulder-turret flickers before it displays a holographic image of the target: a black box roughly two-feet cubed with bundles of cables connected to most of its sides. "-Questions?-"
HK-47     As the droid disembarks, HK-47 can't help but find his current company is rather comforting.

For perhaps the first time in a long time, he faces what he could call an equal. A fellow autonomous machine entity that was every bit as calculating and cold as he could want, and showing adequate concern for meatbags - that is to say, none at all. Granted, the current machine - the 'Decepticon' known as 'Soundwave' - seemed to focus on cold and concise directives, and didn't seem entirely preoccupied with things like recreational chaos. A bottom-line type of thinker.

Not that HK couldn't respect such pragmatic thinking. In fact, this may be the most enjoyable mission commander he has seen thus far... if for no other reason then the fact that it isn't a blasted organic flesh-bag leading the charge.

"Query - Is there any estimation as to what we will fine here? Or any indication of what this outpost was or whether this outpost has been permanently abandoned? Addendum - Will we be expecting combat situations? Perhaps meatbag interlopers to practice our targeting algorithms? I wish to know the soonest opportunity to begin charging weapons."
Mantigora Draken were many things. Being naturally aggressive, antagonistic and brutal, they were the primary military force for the Dominion for a reason. But at the same time they were in some ways honorable, like a sort of noble space savage.

That is why Mantigora strides off the transport along with Rumble. She had promised, if the chance arose, she would help Soundwave aquire this 'holomatter' technology that the Decepticon sought. And for all the mean and nasty things they can be, Draken prefer to keep their promises to their allies.

As Soundwave projets his image the holo-monocle flickers to life over her right eye, recording the image for her own reference. But just a picture wouldn't be enough. "Does the device give off any specific energy signature?" She's pretty sure it's different from the technology used to make her holographic doppleganger, because that uses air-born nanotech to give it the 'solid' aspect that makes it a useable weapon.
Jazz There doesn't seem to be anyone autobot side. If there /is/ anyone, it probably be more local authorities and more hired on personal types. Nothing that some elites can't handle easily and besides--- even they don't know what's inside.

Truth is, it is pretty dark, gritty and forgotten inside. Might seem pretty lifeless with crates upon creates. Though something was inside, hanging out--- or maybe those were just some rats. Yeah--- had to be rats.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa had taken to getting some notice after Souji's tech show and she's got a customer all the way on this world. It been the final delivery of the bike and she was making her way back now. She'd thankfully picked up a rental that would get her back to the warp gate, well that's the plan at the moment, she was just taking a brief bit of a break near by unaware of just what was about to go down.
Soundwave Soundwave's yellow visor focuses on HK-47 first over his left shoulder, though he does not stop walking. Ah yes, the droid from the radio frequencies. "-Any remaining technology is what was forgotten when this location was abandoned. Discovering Autobot intelligence, major projects, or weapons: unlikely.-" He hums. "-Function of outpost: 'Cloak-and-dagger' operations to counter Decepticon activities without alerting human populations to our presence.-"

Rumble grins over to the droid. "Might wanna go ahead an' charge up, then. Nev'a know who's hangin' 'round, or when they'd pop up."

Soundwave turns his head to look over his right shoulder, towards Mantigora. They have crossed paths many times before, but it's probably one of the first that Skuzzler had been left behind. "-Negative, by reason of design. Visual description and image is the best I can offer.-"

He pauses in front of the doors for a few seconds, his head canting as if something bothers him, then he turns to Rumble. "-Rumble: guard the transport. Buzzsaw will join you.-" Rumble plants a fist against his chestplate in a clear salute, then turns and jogs back towards the Confederate transport ship. Soundwave presses a button on his shoulder, near his neck, and his chestplate hinges outwards slightly. "-Buzzsaw: eject.-" A gold-and-black cassette tape flies out of Soundwave's chestplate, which closes, and transforms into a large bird-like robot that flies after Rumble.

Soundwave slides his hands into the cracked doors and pulls with noticeable strain, slowly forcing the doors open just enough for /him/ can get through. Mantigora and HK-47 should have no problems entering the base whatsoever.
Mantigora Trust me, Skuzzler wasn't left behind without much protesting... until Mantigora gave him a random gun design she pulled out of the Confederate's general distribution database and told him to make a version for her. Considering she pulled it out of the -FAILED PROJECTS- folder it would keep him distracted for hours on a project that would either be pointless... or he might actually solve what was wrong with the design after several hours of blowing himself up. Win-win either way.

The reptillian woman has little trouble slipping in through the opening. "Understood." It's still enough for her scanning hardware to work with. Once they're inside and her nanotech systems have had a chance to adjust to the interior lighting and shadows, the Stalker fades from few with little more than a brief visual ripple.

Didn't matter if the facility was supposedly abandoned. She's been through enough 'abandoned' Eldan facilities on Nexus to know to -not- count on it being safe just because of that, and activated her cloaking ability all the same.
HK-47     The droid does not waste any time in charging up power to his disruptor carbine, charging it in anticipation of hidden adversaries as he cautiously enters the doors. His photoreceptors easily compensate for any darkness caused by the lack of power to the abandoned complex.

#-1 ARGUMENT OUT OF RANGE HK-47 was honest with himself, it could be considered just the slightest bit daunting that this was a complex built for autonomous robotic /lifeforms/. Machines tended to have a creator... and yet these mechanical giants had apparently /evolved/ somehow. A very strange effect that almost mirrored how Rakatan technology back in his own universe could feed off the life-energy known as 'the Force' to grow, mimicking a living being.

A vastly superior living being that is, as they lacked the weaknesses universal to most meatbag species.

Already the 'Decepticon Rumble' has gained HK's approval with his gratifyingly eager-sounding admission that weapons should be charged.

The saurian meatbag seemed to have a natural defense - a cloaking field to hide from enemies. An admittedly effective defense... however, he could still somewhat track her general location by the vibrations she made when walking or breathing, although exact pinpointing was much harder.

"Query - Do we at least have an estimate of where in the facility the target device is being kept? A storage facility or laboratory? It would help to know what area to seek out, due to not having any concrete information on what power sources or structural design the device has."
Jazz As the group makes their way in, it stays pretty hard to pick up on anything. Though as they do step in, one may hear some movement. Something /moves/ and a box shifts. Yet nothing to be seen in sight yet.

Then comes running past a rat, which sniffs the area and runs off into a sewer trap.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa slows down her bike at this point, she notices movemen and takes a good look she spots movment and she zooms in a little bit. That's when she's able to make out, Buzzsaw and Rumble. Transformers? It does't take her long to notice the purple badge of the Decepticons on them either.

"Oh great."

She should walk away, it would be the smart thing really, she had been glad she'd taken to using her optic Cameo suit for riding in the multiverse. There was just too much of a chance ofg something going wrong. So she moves to get a weapon from a storage compartment on her bike and then she seems to fade into the background. This is not true invisablity it's the suit mimicing the terrain around it more correctly. It's likely pretty old hat to the Transformers, but it's what she goes. She's going to move in and try to get closer, maybe she can listen in and see what they are up to. She also wisely cuts her own wireless connections, she recalls what happned in Blurr's shuttle after all. She has no idea what hardware or skill set those two cons are packing after all.
Soundwave Soundwave takes one step into the facility, then the box shifts. It's barely perceptible to the ear (or audio, as the case may be), but the Decepticon's senses are above-average even by Cybertronian standards. There is also a prickle of familiarity at the edge of his mind, a presence he knows very well that no amount of training can hide.

"-We are not alone.-" Soundwave's voice drops an ominous octave, his visor suddenly flaring bright red.

He presses the button on his shoulder again and his chestplate hinges open once more. "-Eject!-" Three cassettes leap out, transforming into a red-and-black bird, a jet-black panther, and a purple-and-blue robot. "-Laserbeak. Ravage: take Mantigora and HK-47. Find the target. Frenzy,-" his rifle materializes in his hand, "-with me.-"

He opens a direct comms-line to HK-47, pulse-transmitting more detailed information to the droid. One part is a blueprint of the Holomatter Generator, somewhat more detailed than the holographic picture provided earlier. The other part is a layout of a standard Autobot base with particular emphasis noted at the medical bay.

"-Time is now of the essence. Go!-" Laserbeak -- the bird -- seems more than willing to fly ahead at the lead. Meanwhile, Ravage -- the panther -- almost seems to meld into the shadows similar to Mantigora as it brings up the rear. An odd subsonic hum emits from the 10-foot tall purple robot as he stands next to Soundwave, who shifts his stance to one far more battle-ready.

******

From the outside, nothing seems to be amiss. Buzzsaw and Rumble don't seem to be particularly alarmed by anything and actually seem rather bored with mere guard-duty. Buzzsaw soon takes to the skies in a low-flying pass over the valley, making sure they haven't drawn any undue attention. For now, it seems Kotone is going unnoticed.
Mantigora Mantigora tenses for a moment at the rustling box, but then the rat scurries off and she gives a disgusted snort in its wake. No surprise rodents would take up hiding in someplace like this.

Soundwave, however, seems to sense something more than just the rat.

While cloaked like Ravage, unlike the feline Mantigora has little trouble taking to the lead along with Laserbeak. She's only slightly slower than the bird-con, and that's likely due to moving at the full capacity of her wired body would cause more visible distortion in her cloaking field. Unseen, her arm-blades slide out partially from her arms, a ready at waiting position should she need them.
HK-47     The droid idly entertains the idea of shooting the rat with a projectile dart, but deems it a waste of ammunition given that they have had no hostile contacts as of yet. Best to save it for the actual acts of wanton slaughter.

However, perhaps it's the fact that he is being accompanied by someone that possesses a natural cloak, of if their dubious surroundings are stimulating his sensor output to continue running at top efficiency - either way, the droid doubts that they are alone. In fact, he quite honestly hopes that they aren't.

Then the lood of remotely-transmitted data and the vocal message from Soundwave confirms HK-47's hope that someone is indeed inside the complex with them. Something that is moving. There was the off-chance the most they would encounter would be a rodent or some other form of flesh-based pest species that organics spawned as a constant facet of their evolution... but the droid had learned a long time ago to never leave well enough alone when it came to missions like this. With more detailed schematics of the base layout and the target device entering his processor.

He also take note of any locations on his newly-squired map of the base where suspicious sound-waves have emanated.

Priming himself, HK cycles through his internal weapons, picking the swiftest weapon for the job - an ion-electric shock-projector.

Their target was likely cloaked or hidden... so a well-placed jolt of charged ion particles would disrupt any energy-fields around the target - including a cloaking field.

However, his armored frame is not quite as swift as the reptilian meatbag accompanying him, thus he brings up the rear in case of sneak attacks from behind. After all, meatbags usually tended to attack from where the enemy could not see them when at a disadvantage in numbers.

It was just a matter of when the target made themselves visible to him.
Jazz Mantigora and HK-47 would find nothing to get in there way. Soundwave though /knows/ who is here and he might start to hear Madonna's material girl playing in his head. Yep-- his fears were being confirmed.

Just /where/ was he?
Kotone Yamakawa So she spys Rumble and Buzzsaw, damn these guys are big and they are tiny by their species standards. stills he might be able to so something for now she's trying to get close enough to listen in. She takes it slow and well is going to keepo low to the ground at this point, as if they are just scouting or something she's not going to pick a brawl with these cons, it would be foolish.
Soundwave The sense of sheer scale of the base far exceeds human construction. The hallway is almost akin to a cathederal, upwards of fifty-foot high ceilings and minimally thirty-feet from wall to wall. There's barely a crack or seam in the metal, itself a strange alloy that is definitely not Earthen. Casual analysis would probably match it as similar to the metal plating of the Cybertronians.

They have to go deep into the facility, as the medical bay is only second to the command center in terms of location. Fortunately, the base itself is relatively small and it seems a single hallway connects everything together. One also cannot miss the big red circuit-like cross painted on the door (an influence from the humans' Red Cross? Or is medical signs more universal than they seem?) But the door itself is sealed shut with only an access pad with large keys seated in the wall next to the doors, roughly 15-feet off the ground. Anyone got hacking skills?

Soundwave's jaw makes a vaguely metallic creaking noise. He's spent two decades deleting that song from his memory-banks, and this blasted Autobot keeps trying to put it /back/. Well, enough of that. He shifts to block the path that the Confederate team had taken, since he can sense that their target is also still in this room. "-Frenzy.-"

The purple robot's red visor flares as his mouth opens, and the subsonic pulse abruptly erupts into a sonic scream that surpasses any sense of safe hearing levels. HK-47 and Mantigora may hear an echo down the hall, but they're safe.

Outside, though, the semi-opened doors do allow some of that screech to get out at a noticeable volume, and this noticeably catches Rumble's attention. A concerned frown settles on his face, and whatever lax, bored mood he had been in earlier is gone now. If there are any radio communications, it isn't by speaking outloud into a radio in the forearm.
Jazz The sonic screech goes out and as soon has it does, there was a flare of a blue visor that comes to life. Then that /smile/. Soundwave knows that smile. This followed by a whirl of something activating before a loud BOOM of base goes out, following by one /hell/ of a light show. Several boxes go crashing down from the mixture of sound waves impacting the air to negate one another, but it doesn't stop some crates from falling over.

Mantigora and HK-47 probably hear all that as well. Seems Soundwave found some action.

Once the two impact, Jazz own turn off before he chuckles, softly. "Yo." He says with a grin now. "Ya should know better ta go rock'in an' roll'in in my turf, Soundwave." He says with a 'tsk tsk' of his index finger. "Also I saw you brought some friends. Playin' a heist are we? Helpin' the Feds get some loot from this here ol' facility?"

Jazz doesn't step forward, he keeps his distance. He isn't an idiot, cocky-- oh yes--- idiot. No. He knows this game. They both do. They been playing it for a long time. "Cause ya know-- its rude ta not knock or even say your comin' by." Jazz puts on a fake frown, "...I could have livin' up the place for ya. Made it a /real/ part'a."
Mantigora Mantigora doesn't shift out of cloaking yet, but HK would be able to hear her speak just behind his shoulder. "Do you have hacking interfaces, robot, or shall I?" It's a simple and to the point question. Since by the sounds of down the hall that they cam from, they may be short on time.
HK-47 The design of the building is immense yet somehow natural-feeling, reminding HK-47 of the Star Forge in how it seems to stretch for what most organics would likely consider an eternity.

The droid sees the doors, and, although his hacking skills are not as adept as the standard utility droid, he is confident that he can at least open up the locking mechanism... provided he can actually reach the lock. Then perhaps a well-placed fragmentation grenade planted into the locking mechanisms would blow the door's central lock housing apart.

Something akin to an annoying tune lays in the distance, grating slightly on HK's auditory receptors as he turns to face the saurian meatbag. "Conformation - Indeed. Enough to bypass most base locking mechanisms. However, cybertronian locks are relatively new to me, so perhaps a... combination of elements will be needed."

With this, he hefts out his frag grenade in preparation to place it into the locks once he gets the casings open. "Crude... but effective."
Mantigora A throaty, almost purring sound comes from the Draken as she does flicker into visibility again. She's going to need that energy focused elsewhere in a moment. "I do like the way you think, robot."

Mantigora tilts her head back a bit, the holo-scouter flickering to life again as she focuses on the control panel 15 feet above them. Tail lashes a few times as she flexes her legs. An challenging but not exceptionally hard distance for her. "Let me see if I can loosen it up a little, first."

Mantigora leaps off the deck, feet coming in contact with the wall about partway the distance, only to push off from it again to vault herself up farther. One hand reachs to grab the exterior frame of the keypad. The other extends her blades fully, nano-energy crackling down the length before she stabs it into the keypad.

It was like blunt force trama as far as hacking goes, but maybe she can score an advantage over the cybertronian technology with the unfamiliar alien nature of her nanotach trying to pry its way in. If nothing else, get it open enough to expose the mechanisms for HK to do his fun thing.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa assumes the guys outside are using something akin to cybercons, she knows transformer do use verbal communication but it would only be logical they'd have far more secure. So she's going to move in but she's well concerned there's something else going on here she notices Rumble's picked up on something that isn't her. She's going to have to be careful she's going to assume these guys likely put hackers from her world to shame. Still she's got in pretty close now and she's keeping to the showes then well enters the Jazz actons can be heard. Okay so things got hot she may have to act after all.
Soundwave Mantigora's acrobatics easily get her to the panel, and the nanotech blade drives as deep as it can go into the panel's face. The panel erupts in a cloud of smoke, smelling of burnt wires and severed hoses, and the doors slide open with a soft hiss. Clearly they were designed to operate this way, perhaps held closed by a supply of air pressure if the continued hissing is of any indication. It's obviously not going to close by themselves either.

HK-47 may want to keep that grenade handy, though. The medical bay is largely what one would expect from any sort of medical facility, just on a larger scale. Huge gurneys, tools about the size of an average human scattered about, and plenty of half-opened cabinets and pieces and parts to boot. It's a good thing Soundwave provided details as to exactly /what/ they're looking for, as it'd almost be a needle in a haystack otherwise.

Also plenty of places to hide...

The deep bass counteracts Frenzy's scream almost perfectly, negating the full range and power, and the subsequent light-show overwhelms the Cassetticon. As the light fades, Soundwave lowers his arm from in front of his visor as Frenzy crumples to the ground. Good to know his instincts were right, even after all this time and post-Unification. Frenzy is going to be out for a little bit.

"-Jazz.-" There is no roiling hatred in the Decepticon's melotone, as one would usually expect from a meeting of sworn enemies. If anything, he sounds almost bored. "-Confederacy: secondary.-" His arm snaps up, pointing his rifle directly at the large '4' on Jazz's chestplate. "-Mission: personal.-" Without warning, his shoulder-turret opens fire with a spray of laser bolts.

Rumble seems more concerned with keeping the transport ship safe than anything. Buzzsaw, however, is swinging by for another pass, and his gaze seems to be scrutinizing the ground far more closely than before. If Kotone is going to do something, she'd better do it fast before she's spotted!
Jazz Soundwave opens fire and Jazz pivots on his heel to avoid the shot and go around a crate. Jazz's voice then comes out from behind it as he chuckles a bit. "Not bad. Not bad a' all, bu' personal huh?" Jazz hms softly as he activates his own rifle. "Do I wanna ask?"

Jazz then snaps around, but ducks back behind the box, before he gives the line a good hard kick with his rather large feet, trying to tip over the line before moving to another section. Yeah, he isn't making this easy on Soundwave, but would he expect less?

"Ya know wha' I like about you, Soundwave." Jazz taps his head. "I have to keep the music playin' or your gonna start figurin' out wha' I'm doin'!" Jazz tsks softly. "...an' speakin' of, but on the radio. Wha' was so personal about the sparks, huh? Care ta share tha' story?"
HK-47     As the casing in the panel is torn open, HK-47 sees his chance and lobs the grenade upwards into the gap, watching as it sails with practiced efficiency into the console.

Milliseconds later, there is an explosion as the innards of the console are blown apart by the detonation.

However, the droid doesn't let himself become complacent, already selecting another grenade - this time, he selects his adhesive grenade.

After all, be they flesh or mechanical, they still needed to move or perceive their targets - and a mass of glue-like material enveloping them was very detrimental to said functions.

"Cautionary - If one autonomous machine-etity managed to hide here undetected, other entities may be present. Whatever weapons you carry, fix them to their highest output and set prejudice to maximum."
Mantigora Mantigora jumps down as the grenade is tossed. That's a good way to make sure someone doesn't try to lock them in to boot. She hits the deck in a crouch to absorb the landing. "Mmhm." Both sets of arm-blades extend fully, already glowing with nano-energy again. Followed a throaty laugh as she follows HK into the opened room. "You remind me of some of the Mechari enforcers I've known. Just less boring."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa can't get into the transport and has no high explosives, she's got a blaster however an that should be enough to deal with the con. Or so she thnks. She kcan hear Jazz and the others at this point. She hears soundwaves and the sounds of weapons fire she's going to assume the cons have foun a Autobot, which is confirmed a moment later as she hears Jazz's voice jjust enough to ID JAzz that selas it as she moves in to attempt to shoot Rumble from behind, she knows she's got to play dirty, right? She might have a bit more time as after the first blaster bolts are fired? She's moving again hopefully that will buy her time.
Blurr     The explosion caused by HK's grenade has no doubt set off quite a few alarms, to say the least. So when the blips showed up on the surveillance, Blurr dashed down to the repair bay to investigate and/or deal with whoever or whatever was causing the disturbance.

Upon spotting HK-47, Mantigora, and -especially- Laserbeak, he immediately takes a defensive posture, his weapons emerging quickly. He doesn't know who those other two are, but he -definitely- recognizes the Casseticon. And if they're with him...

He considers demanding identification or surrender or something before attacking, but thinks better of it. If they're with the Decepticons, then there's little chance of that. Instead, he simply levels a shot at Laserbeak.
Soundwave Well, the door definitely won't be working anytime soon after HK-47 fragged it! Laserbeak and Ravage also enter the room alongside the two Feds, but the cloaked Ravage hesitates as he audibly sniffs the air. "Someone's--!"

Blurr's sudden appearance cuts him off, the Autobot's shot hitting Laserbeak in the back. The red-and-black avian Decepticon squawks in both pain and surprise as he crashes to the ground, the assembly on his back noticeably damaged. Ravage snarls sharply as he leaps onto a gurney and pounces Blurr, shimmering into view with fangs and claws bared at Blurr's face and/or throat.

Laserbeak looks at Mantigora and HK-47. "We have to hurry!" He 'flaps' his wings once, testing joints and durability. "We don't have to fight to win!"

Soundwave shifts away from the doorframe he'd been framed in, slapping aside a few boxes with one arm as they tumble past. Though the crates do create some obstacles, they don't block the hallway. As he moves, he scoops up Frenzy so the purple robot doesn't get caught in the crossfire in his current state. "-Personal.-" That's all Jazz will get as to why the Decepticon is even here.

"-Tell me if this cycles your memory-banks, Autobot.-" He too ducks behind a stack of crates, increasing his rifle's power output with a deft few flicks. "-Zeta Prime. The New Institute.-" His free hand flexes, his melotone twisting and darkening to a low snarl as vitriolic hatred takes hold. "-SHADOWPLAY.-" He fires a single shot into the section Jazz is currently hiding in, enough power in the bolt to punch /through/ the crates instead of reflecting away or dispersing.

Rumble is caught off-guard as gunfire pelts against his armor, scratching or scorching paint and leaving dents. An annoyance, really, but it's the principle! "Oi!" He snaps angrily, stomping over towards Kotone. Buzzsaw screeches once as he flies overhead, but the gold-and-black condor merely lands on the transport and perches menacingly for now.
HK-47     Upon seeing the machine, HK is instantly on guard. Then when he sees the red insignia on the opposing mechanical being, the droid quickly realizes he's facing an Autobot.

The droid quickly takes cover, keeping his adhesive grenade on standby before quickly lobbing it at the Autobot when the feline machine 'Ravage' pins it, intending to glue the opposing machine to the ground, or perhaps glue Ravage onto the machine and prevent his escape. From there, he readies his rifle, intending to fry the Autobot's processors as he starts charging the disruptor for the next round.

After all, if a disruptor could fry the instruments in a scout-walker, it could surely do the same to an autobot... provided he could hit the faster-moving target, so long as the adhesive grenade and Ravage kept the bot pinned.

And in spite of his pride, HK knows better then to try and fully engage an enemy without any intelligence... and the decepticons on-site would be a very handy way of obtaining that information. As such, he starts broadcasting an alert on his linked comms to the other machines.

"Warning - All Decepticons! Secondary Autobot located! Primary distinguishing features include a predominately blue frame, an apparent booster unit and increased movement speed! Requesting advisory on how to proceed."
Mantigora Mantigora merely nods a bit in response to Laserbeak. There are times when saying less is the best, so you don't give away too much to your enemy. A gutteral growl rumbles in her throat, though despite the brutal nature of her species, as a Stalker she knows there are times when one has to consider more than just fighting from a tactical stand-point.

She generates a couple of her armor slicing discs and launchs them at Blurr, though it's mainly in an effort to keep Blurr from getting too easily situated. Ravage is already on him, and she expects from what little she's experienced of him HK-47 is likely to open fire too.

So while she's throwing out an attack to make it appear as she's on the aggressive like everyone else, it's actually more of a diversion as she mentally cycles through her nano-tech hardware to start scanning the medbay for the target of their little intrusion.
Jazz Jazz hears the word 'Shadowplay' and his body tenses, those optics behind the visor narrow sharply. Oh yes-- he remembers well. He knows the stories, the classified documents. There was many things he got to dig up or accidentally stumbled on.

When Soundwave breaks through the boxes with the shot, Jazz tries to snap around. The shot from Soundwave cuts across Jazz's white upper arm armor, but in a snap return, the Operations Officer opens fire back, while attempting to then back pedal before a flip up on a box ledge, then swing himself up high.

"I guess tha' is where I say, Oh... Okay. Tha' makes /total/ sense." Jazz remarks as he glances around the area for a /new/ idea. Soundwave may pick on that; Jazz wasn't expecting him to shoot through the boxes. Which now makes the game more interesting--- and perhaps dangerous.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa cloak will help but she can be spotted whens he's moving faster.

"Nothing personal, but you boys came to kick down someone's front door. Now I'm pretty sure that's not more than a paper cut to you but why don't you be smart humm and both of you head home?"

She foolishly holds her fire for the moment. She hears the fact things are heating up and she thinks someone else has arrived. Oh this is turning into a regular old furball tonight.
Blurr     Blurr staggers backward when Ravage launches himself onto him, attempting to take hold of a hind leg and yank hard. Unfortunately, HK's adhesives make sure that becomes rather difficult, and the Casseticon becomes stuck to his chassis. Cursing, he transforms, his body folding up quickly into his hovercraft form. Now Ravage is glued to his hood, and he drives straight for a pile of crates stacked against an outer wall. It'll hurt, but it'll hurt Ravage more if the feline doesn't manage to get himself unstuck before he makes contact. He's a lot smaller, after all.

Mantigora's discs make purchase, making scratches on his armor though not doing much more than that. He ignores them for the most part, since he's got Ravage to deal with right now.
Soundwave Rumble sneers at Kotone. "Hey, it's an abandoned outpost from /my/ world. Little fleshbags like you don't get a say on th' matter." One arm transforms into a piledriver and it SLAMS into the ground in front of him, still a good distance away from Kotone but a clear threat nonetheless. "If /you/ get outta here /now/, I'll forget about th' potmarking youse caused."

Buzzsaw leaves Rumble to deal with Kotone as HK-47's emergency broadcast echoes through his radio. "Sounds like Blurr," he radios back, his voice slightly deeper than his body double Laserbeak but almost identical otherwise. "Best thing you can do is hit him hard. He's fast, but not durable. Keep him from using his speed to his advantage." His optics narrow. "But honestly? I really think you guys should find the target and get outta there. FAST."

Ravage doesn't care that the adhesive grenade has stuck him onto Blurr, and his yowl of protest as his back leg is yanked only fuels his full intention to tear this Autobot apart. That said, he quickly finds himself glued to Blurr's hood and heading right for a pile of crates! Instead of fighting the glue to get off, Ravage instead curls up the best he can and braces, letting the boxes slam him off of Blurr's hood and into the Autobot's windshield. That hurt a LOT, yes, but the Autobot is /still/ gonna hurt just as much once he gets through with him! And so Ravage continues ripping and tearing, this time targetting Blurr's interior.

Laserbeak hops around, trying to find the most likely locations of their target without making himself another target. Playing wounded dove, if you will. Hopefully Mantigora is making better headway...

Soundwave can sense how that one word rattled Jazz, ignoring the return fire skimming too close to his turret-less shoulder. Good. All the better. He wasn't expecting laserfire to pierce his cover? He can use that to his advantage. "-Query: After the Machination and Sunstreaker, would you let /your/ spark be tinkered?-" As if to punctuate the question, he sends a volley of shoulder-turret laserfire up at Jazz's high-rise hidey-hole. Normal power, but will Jazz take that chance after the last one?
HK-47 He dislikes the idea of retreating... but he also understands the merits of a strategic retreat. Therefore, he takes aim with his rifle and lines up a shot, working to try and keep the now-identified 'Blurr' on a path that Ravage can easily intercept, aiming for the tires with his very deadly disruptor rifle.

"Statement - I shall attempt to hold the Autobot off, saurian meatba- ah, organic Mantigora. Locate the objective and secure it."

With that, the droid pulls the trigger, sending a shot of directed energy potent enough to fry scout walker-class machines, somewhat eager to see what the effects will be on a 'robotic organism.'
Jazz Jazz doesn't answer Soundwave at all. There is no response back for the question, no comment, not even a jab back. There was just the cold air of focus and the rapid firing thoughts of what to do as Jazz quickly formulates a whole new set of directions. Several of them; He was improvising quickly.

When the Decepticon opens fire, he can hear pipes creak as Jazz hops to one to swing to it, and then lands on another set of crates, but he may hear the autobot moving, before a clang of a vent opens up. Was he trying to move above?

However if Soundwave was distracted by that what he may see next is a grappling line, before Jazz comes swinging /through/ some boxes like Tarzan and goes to slam both of his feet directly square into Soundwave's chest.
Mantigora Mantigora shifts her nanotech focus to her legs almost reflexively when Blurr turns into a vehicle and leaps up onto a work station to not be in the way of potentially becoming alien roadkill. "Working on it," she radios back to the others. A few running steps and she jumps off one station to the next, focusing on her scanning over attacking farther at the moment. Laserbeak's right, they need to find what they came for and quickly.
Blurr     Ugh, Ravage is really starting to get irritating. He may be small, but those claw are sharp. Circuitry is torn and energon starts to spurt. When HK fires his weapon, he attempts to maneuver his body so that Ravage is in the droid's line of fire and will act as a shield, taking the brunt of the shot. It's true, he's not very strong, but his agility is one of his greatest strengths.

Regardless of whether this is successful or not, Blurr then reaches for a laser cutter that happens to be lying about atop a nearby circuit slab. Powering it to its highest setting he attempts to simply -slice- off whatever part of Ravage is stuck to him, then fling the Casseticon against a wall as hard as he can.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Says "Oh is that how it's going to be and Fleshbag?"

Her tone seems ot hint at something else. She does see the pile driver come down and just what he does, okay so the little guy seems to be into melee.

"Sorry I hear a friend of mine's here and I'm going to bail him out. I appicate you seem to have more sense than then many I run into but no dice, I'm afraid."

She's going to at least Keep Rumble busy right? She doesn't fire yet as she stares Rumble down.
Soundwave Ravage shrieks as HK-47's blasts almost hit him instead of the suddenly-robot-mode Blurr, and the air around him crackles enough to make his plating crawl. If that /had/ made impact... Not that he has much of a chance to appreciate his relative good fortune. Blurr manages to grab a tool and slice off his front left leg just above the elbow joint, dislodging him entirely. The scream goes beyond cat-like and almost sounds human as Ravage is subsequently thrown into the wall, which leaves a nasty-looking dent as the feline 'Con falls to the ground.

Laserbeak squawks in dismay as he hops over to his fellow agent, carefully gathering Ravage up onto his own damaged back. Mantigora, however, will quickly get a match in an ajar drawer in what could only be described as a torn-apart parts cabinet...

Soundwave realized as soon as Jazz went quiet that matters had gotten serious. He tracks the sounds, but doesn't try to follow them -- Jazz rarely makes noise unintentionally, and like the box earlier he WANTS to be noticed. So when Jazz swings in with a double boot to Soundwave's chest, the Decepticon takes the kick with glass-shattering force without even a guard up. However, he immediately locks his arms around the Autobot's ankles, drawing the tow-line and Jazz's body taunt from the momentum.

Frenzy suddenly appears on top of a nearby box as if summoned by an unheard command, releasing another screech at far closer range and greater intensity than earlier.

Rumble smirks. "Youse got guts." Maybe he was a little presumptive calling her a 'fleshbag', as his sensors are picking up anything but standard human readings. "I wonder tho'. Is that gonna be enough?" As Frenzy's newest shriek echoes from within the outpost, Rumble charges in close and swipes one hand at Kotone towards the hillside, like someone would swat a fly.
Mantigora Mantigora keys back to the comm signal. "Think I've got something. Confirming." Hopefully the others can keep Blurr busy just a little longer. She makes a running leap off the station to get over to the cabinet, and drops down into the ajar transformer sized drawer to look for the actual device.

Depending on how big it is she might have to just push it out for one of the recordicons to grab. Soundwave's holographic image didn't really give a decent scale reference.

Oh wait, how silly of me. I'm discussing scale when dealing with Transformers.
Jazz As /soon/ as Soundwave takes hold of Jazz and yanks him taunt, the Autobot tsks softly. "Well... slag." That was a miscalculation, because there is Frenzy pulling a Five Nights at Freddie's routine! Jazz attempts to unlatch the grappling hook to yank himself free. Allowing his hand to come out just as he hands hit the ground and go to flip Soundwave over with all his face he can muster while doing a hand stand.

Problem is, as soon as he attempts them and goes to get back up on his feet that screech hits him. "AARGH!" Jazz stumbles backwards and goes straight down on his knee, reaching up toward his audio sensors. His body tenses as he grits his teeth tightly before attempting to reach for a box with whatever strength he can muster before chucking it at Frenzy, "Shut up, you damn spring trap!"
HK-47     It really was frustrating how such a large target was so abnormally fast. Especially fast enough to try and block his shot.

Perhaps something a bit more wide-angled was needed.

HK pulls out the third of his grenades - an Ion-electric energy grenade, designed to short out machines... with HK himself specially built to be able to withstand such blasts through the unique desh plating on his chassis, giving him an advantage against what was typically the bane of other droids.

Priming his throw for a split-second, HK throws the grenade, watching Blurr's movements... and banking on the droid to assume the target is him, as opposed to the laser-cutter.

After all, a good electrical charge through that ought to have quite the entertaining - and hopefully explosive - result. He also begins priming wrist-mounted weaponry for the next attack, also selecting his ion launcher.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I'm not going to back down or be run over by anything again without a fight. It's just how I am now."

The Cyborg moves with speed that no human from Rumble's world could muster unaided. She's not holding still. She's forced to try and counter the attack. She's been learning to fight she makes an error she acts without thinking nad moves to counter punch him. This does not go so well as she's sent flying into the hillside she slams into the wall leaving an impact crafter and should be down right? Howver she's making a paine sound and trying to pull herself out of the rockface.

"So many people who ... waste ... their power. Destroy everything ... around them." She will attemp to rip free some of the rock and hurrl it at Rumble with enough force it might actally do some damage.
Blurr     "Hah, good riddance!" Blurr shouts as Ravage goes splat against the far wall. Two down, two to go. He turns his attention on HK and Mantigora, but mainly HK since he's the one actually on the offensive.

Yes, the former racer is incredibly fast despite his size, but it is considerably harder to dodge things that are that much smaller than you, even when you're Blurr. The grenade explodes near his feet, causing him to stagger backward momentarily. It doesn't keep him from hurling that scalpel at HK like a javelin, however.
Soundwave The device is a box about two-feet on every side, with bundles of cables sticking out of almost all sides. It isn't even terribly heavy, just a bit bulky. Laserbeak doesn't allow much time, already scrambling up to the shelf and picking up the entire device in his beak. He lowers his head, indicating for Mantigora to climb on his back alongside Ravage's still form.

If Blurr somehow gets a good look at this device instead of focusing on HK-47, he'll probably recognize it immediately.

Jazz attempts a springing back handstand to kick Soundwave off, and it works! Soundwave does indeed go tumbling into the crates as a result, but then Jazz gets so easily distracted by Frenzy. Should've remembered who the real threat is in this game! The purple Cassetticon leaps down as the thrown crate bounces off of his platform, a malicious grin firmly on his face.

Soundwave immediately lunges out of the crates, shoulder-checking Jazz from behind and knocking the Autobot fully to the ground. He stomps down HARD on the center of Jazz's back, pinning him, and aims his rifle down at the Spec Ops' helm. "-Enough,-" he states evenly.

He opens an open radio channel to Blurr and Kotone. Even the various consoles within the base crackle to life as the frequencies are accessed, just in case. "-Listen well. This is not a request or a negotiation. Jazz's life is forfeit unless all of you stand down NOW.-"

Rumble lifts an arm to block the rock, which shatters against his forearm. Still leaves an impressive dent, though. He growls and takes a step forwards as if to take another attack, but Soundwave's transmission causes him to pause and grin unpleasantly. "Huh. Guess there's no use continuin'. Beatin' up someone so weak's no fun neither." He turns away and heads back to the transport. "Maybe next time!"
Mantigora Mantigora grabs a couple of cables attatched to the device as Laserbeak picks it up, and wraps them around the mecha-condor's neck. Just as a saftey measure in case something were to make him drop it from his beak. Then hops onto his back. Considers a moment, then retracts her arm-blades. "Let's hedge odds a little as precaution."

Instead she manifests some of her nano-tech into a shoot spike-shaped device, which she turns and sticks to Laserbeak's jets. The Amplification Spike should give him enough of a boost to help get them out of here quickly, hopefully.
HK-47     The droid barely has time to think as he all but leaps to the side, arm extended outward to fire his ion-charge straight at the incoming blade - his intent being to detonate it mid-air and send an explosion back-blasting into Blurr.

Either way, the droid is ultimately tossed back, skidding harshly across the steel floor, his front and side noticeably scorched with a series of finger-sized scrapes running across his chassis from torso to shoulder.

He is about to try and utilize his wrist-mounted weapons again when Soundwave's transmission goes out... and he capitalizes on this. He keeps his aim trained on Blurr, intending to try and blind the Autobot with an ion-charge while the latter is distracted by Soundwave's claim, in order to garnet Mantigora and Laserbeak can retreat.

    "Statement - Charging Weapons!"
Jazz Soundwave manages to play dirty and it works. While Jazz can be /just/ as dirty, it seems the Communications Operative wins this round. Next time Soundwave-- Next time. Jazz oufs as his back is pressed down and his armor creaks. He tsks softly before he actually laughs a bit. "Tha' is wha'... two for you... one for me... since we been talkin'?"

Leave it to Jazz to not take a death situation seriously, though he does try to move a bit, but realizes there is no place /to/ go. It all be a waste of energy at this point, wouldn't it? "Ya realized... next time we meet--- I'm gonna wanna even this score..."
Blurr     The explosion of the laser tool sends some shrapnel into Blurr, though it does not affect him as much as it does HK, again with the size difference. He notices the device Laserbeak is taking...a holomatter projector? Heh. They were going to all this trouble just for that? Or did they have something else up their tailpipes?

Glaring at one of the videopanes where Soundwave's face is displayed, he quickly identifies the room the Decepticon is in. Stand down? Ha! Frag -that-. << Jazz, I'm headed your way--hang in there. >>

HK needn't concern himself with blinding Blurr at the moment...he's much more concerned about Jazz than about preventing Mantigora and Laserbeak from escaping with the emitter. The courier dashes out of the repair bay, and mere astroseconds later he is standing in the doorway of the sector with his weapons trained on Soundwave. "You've gone to a slag of a lot of trouble just for a holomatter projector....so tell me -Soundwave-, what is this -really- about?"
Jazz Blurr comes to the rescue! And while Jazz could not say anything, just let this play out--- but he also knows Soundwave isn't bluffing and really... there is next time. "Blurr." Jazz says right there. "Stand down... let 'em go. Not. Worth. It."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa hears the order to stand down now. She seems to have no choie but to give it up she slumps in her impact crater on the hill and does not move she looks at Rumble as he leaves but says nothing. Was it worth giving up? She had no idea on that but she did She's however in kinda bad shape at this point. She doesn't move from where she is but one might see that impact done her a lot more injury than one might have expected froim the looks of it. She's stood down now it's only Blurr, who has not.
Soundwave The engines on Laserbeak's back splutter to life thanks to Mantigora's Amplification Spike, and the bird-'Con takes to the air. He swoops around, grabbing HK-47 in his talons before jetting out the door and down the hall. He intends to make best speed for the door before Blurr can call Soundwave out on his bluff and take them out with him.

Though from the looks of things as they pass by, it isn't a bluff!

Soundwave hums in response to Jazz's semi-warning. "-I look forward to it.-" He looks up as Blurr appears, weapons trained on him. He doesn't even seem surprised to see him. "-There is nothing else.-" The frank statement will probably be dismissed because SURELY it can't be THAT simple. Can it?

There is no parting grinding of pede-plate into Jazz's back, no parting shot at either Autobot. Just the weight disappearing from Jazz's back as Soundwave simply backs away through the doors to the outside. Oh, his rifle is still up in case someone takes a potshot, but it's quite obvious he won't shoot first. He's /letting/ Jazz go, despite Blurr calling him out on the ultimatum. He also knows that fact is going to rankle the Autobots severely.

As the Confederates return to the transport, all four of the active Cassetticons (Ravage being the odd one out, who's still out cold) transform into their tape forms as they enter the ship's bay. Even Soundwave transforms as he enters, his device form clattering to the floor. And as the transport takes to the skies with everyone accounted for and the device safely in hand, Soundwave emits a low sigh. "-Thank you.-"
HK-47     Looking over himself, the droid notes with irritation that it will take a notable amount of time to repair the damage to his chassis and armor. Although considering that his opponent was several times his size, it could have been much worse... displeasing as it was to think about.

Looking at the saurian meatbag, the droid gives a simple acknowledgement - "Statement - You are a very efficient mea-ah... organic. I would not be opposed to working alongside you again in the future."

If HK could describe the feeling in his circuits, it would be surprise. However, the droid feels obligated to accept the courtesy from one of the few individuals that he could consider an equal. "Reciprocation - It was an interesting experience to work with you, Decepticon Soundwave. I believe I would very much enjoy future cooperation with your faction... and your missions."

Looking out at the transport, the droid also thinks back to the two autobots - foremost being the one named Blurr.

"Addendum - And with any luck... I will be able to settle some scores of my own."
Mantigora Mantigora grins a toothy grin full of sharp teeth at HK-47 in return. "Prehaps next time we actually kill something. Definately fun times." She's satisfied with having appropriately filled her promise to Soundwave to help. That the other robot was actually tolerable and entertainingly aggressive was just a bonus.
Blurr     Blurr glares at Soundwave as he takes off, though he is somewhat relieved that the Decepticon isn't going to follow through on his threats to Jazz. He doesn't fire his weapons, though he does let loose with a string of very rapidly spoken Cybertronian profanities at the retreating foe. -Thank you-. Hah, he'll give that spawn of a glitch something to be -thankful- for!

The Autobot shakes his head. "Well at least we -know- what they took." he comments. "You okay there, Jazz?" He glances over his teammate, scanning for any serious injuries.
Jazz Jazz can only /roll/ over onto his back once Soundwave leaves and just--- lays there. His audios were /still/ ringing truth be told and when Blurr asks him he was ok. He gives him a thumbs up. "Jus' a bad miscalculation on my part with tha' screamer two point 'o an' how long he snooze."

"...Next time... I'm stuffin' him in a box and shippin' him to Alaska."
