Polite Words     This time, there is not a clandestine meeting in some shadowy place. No, this time the meeting place is in Canada's southernmost city, lovely Windsor, Ontario. Well, rustic. Okay, it's kind of a shithole, but it looks nice next to where Emily, better known these days by her alias of Violence Behind Polite Words, is looking. Namely, across the bridges over to tonight's destination - her own hometown, in fact, of Detroit.

The Sidereal will greet each elite that arrives, a supply of weapons and Canadian flags and markings available for the taking, but will wait to explain in full what's happening now until everyone that she is expecting arrives. Given that they're well within sight of the closed borders, though, and the look in her crimson-speckled eyes, it probably won't take a genius to put two and two together.
Krezentia Einjager     Krezentia has never been here, so her ability to navigate it to a precise destination is fairly lacking. Fortunately, the Magi is accompanied by her fairy today, the foot-tall Kopie struggling to carry a GPS unit almost as large as she is. Krezentia's left arm is in a cast, courtesy of Sanary's care. It'll take more than a Saiyan breaking her arm to keep her from getting in trouble and melting faces, though.

It is with the precursor sounds of a loudly whining and complaining fairy that Krezentia eventually finds Emily, glancing at the flags and markings. The briefing did vaguely cover that, but she kind of skipped over the parts that weren't about causing a ruckus.

"Do we, uh. Actually have to use the weapons."
Kagenashi     One moment a space not far from Polite Words yet slightly out of sight from the wall in the distance is empty, and the next, Kagenashi appears seemingly out of thin air. At least that's what it looks like to any normal person; those with an ability to see the spiritual would notice her moving along to the meeting point. There shouldn't be many of those here, though, right?

The nogitsune offers a brief bow of greeting to Polite Words and Krezentia in turn as Munashi coils slowly around her legs, both of them devoid of a shadow. Her mask still covers her face, but the slight tilt of her head toward the pile of weapons and flags should be enough to precede her serene question. "Will we be needing to decorate ourselves in national colors for this?"
Serori Serori has a tendency to fly wherever she needs to go, and today's no different. At least she makes a cautious approach; between keeping to ludicrous altitudes and having respect for the world's potential air traffic, the saiyan is almost stealthy. The landing she makes is gentle, too, and doesn't leave a giant hard-to-hide crater in the middle of everything.

"Yo!" The quick wave Serori offers to those present is followed by a sharp turn toward the heaped goods. "Are those flags? What kind of weapons do you have? What's the plan, anyway?"
Souji Murasame This is where things get messy.

Souji can feel it. With a cursory examination of the progress of Polite Words' efforts, he feels he has a decent idea of where this is going.

He appreciates the audacity.

This is why he is present, arriving to look over the weapons and flags and markings. He frowns for a moment, considering the situation and looking over into the distance, tapping the side of his head. "Hmmmm..." He emits, but says nothing about it, allowing Polite Words to say what she wills first.
Guest Madeline     The Radiant Empress is here, standing tall and off... to the side. Nobody seems to notice that it's there, courtesy of a helpful little low-level Stealth Charm. It isn't what she's best at, but Madeline does find it useful to slot that Charm.

Madeline herself is not in the mecha, as it may be a little too destructive. Instead, she's here outside of the cockpit and taking a seat, looking around at the boxes. She pretty quickly gets the idea, then looks down at her outfit: a jacket and shirt and pants, fairly normal attire... but she is pondering it thoughtfully.
Hiei Hiei arrives shortly after Serori, already straightening the white headband back around his forehead as he enters the shortly after her. He raises a brief eyebrow at Kagenashi, but otherwise crosses his arms and leans against a wall with a tiny flag in his hand. He has no idea what's going on, but he seems intent on listening and watching. He's probably shorter than most of the people here, he's easy to ignore!
Polite Words     "You do not need to use the weapons, though if you would like them, consider them a bonus for coming along on the mission. You are, however, as of this moment the Mercenary Elite Canadian Forces, at least for the rest of the night if you want to be paid. As such, you should wear clearly identifiable markings. The clearer, the better." Polite Words won't turn around, at least not yet, keeping her eyes on the prize.

"As you may have guessed already, tonight we will be conquering Detroit at the orders of our mad Prime Minister. Please try not to spark a war with weapons of mass destruction, but feel free to do whatever you might like to take care of the defending US forces - including local police. The mission can succeed if we do not hold on to the city, but there's a good chance if we do that they will let us have it in peace talks afterwards. It's unbelievably bankrupt even before we start a war in it, and I wouldn't mind keeping it." Sentiment is an odd thing sometimes. "Thank you all for your assistance; if we're successful tonight, I'll be in a position to aid you with more than just the money owed."
Hiei "So, for one night I'm a Canadian." Hiei casually says as if there's something mildly absurd about the situation. But he wraps a Canadian flag around his arm, in plain view. "If I have autonomy, then I believe it would be in your best interests if I mentally dominate a few squads of police to make this go a little faster. I could assassinate the mayor if you like. Stabbing him with the Canadian flag would be quite theatrical."
Serori Or not so easy to ignore. Serori finds it a rare treat to work with somebody who's shorter than she is. Hiei's probably able to decipher the little look and smirk she sends his way.

Polite gets Serori's full attention once she starts speaking, though. Having not participated in previous schemes, she's missing quite a few details, but it's probably not the best time to go asking why Polite's chosen the target she has, why the regalia is needed, and why the destruction needs to be limited to reasonable levels. Serori had come here for a change of scenery, and to turn her mind from the Reptilon conflict; all she needs to do tonight is follow orders. If she wants the full story, she can get it later.

That decided, she turns away to the stack of supplies, and starts seeking out a suitable uniform. She'll have to swap out her boots and gloves, and might have to cram her wild hair beneath a helmet, but the rest is easy enough to pull on over her spandex-like battlesuit. Serori hums under her breath as she changes her attire. Before she puts on any kind of Canadian uniform, she pokes a hole into it so her tail can stick out.

Then, she ties a Canadian flag around her neck and shoulders, like a cape.

Perfect.
Souji Murasame Souji looks over the materials present, and he picks out an array of materials and carries them out of sight.

When he returns, he is wearing combat fatigues with the Canadian flag prominently displayed, his tag reading PIPER, with a helmer and balaclava covering his face. The glasses and suit are missing, and his blade has been carefully stored in his vehicle out of sight. When he leaves the blade, the vehicle begins riding much heavier on its tires, as if it is carrying a massive weight. He picks up an assault rifle and looks it over, attatching it to a tactical harness and adding a pistol, some grenades, and a combat knife to his toolkit. "This is not my preferred method of combat." He states. "But I will do what I can."

He looks over in the distance, and points. "I saw a train in the distance. Perhaps we could use it and whatever people are on it as our vanguard. Load materials onto it, and then use it to equip them as we breach the checkpoint and enter the target city proper."
Kagenashi     Kagenashi gives a brief glance to the others that arrive - Serori, being a ranking officer, is given a low bow in greeting - but for the most part, her attention remains entirely focused on Polite Words as she gives that briefing. A reasonable enough goal, though...there is a slight problem, she realizes, glancing down at herself. She certainly won't /look/ anything like the Mercenary Elite Canadian Forces.

Without another look, Munashi slips down and flattens across the ground, expanding at Kangashi's feet to once more become her shadow. Then, her entire form is obscured by black, and her outline starts to shift and warp slightly. After a few seconds, color returns to her, and there's been a significant change.

Kagenashi lacks her mask, but her facial features are slightly different, just enough to not appear as her normal self, and with rather normal brown eyes instead of silver. The star orb in her tongue appears to be little more than a gold piercing, as well, and her hair is allowed to fall down her shoulders. Her outfit has shifted entirely into a more standard military vest, pants, boots, and gloves, and Canadian flag armbands are bound around her biceps. The flag on the back of her vest is glaringly obvious, as well. She doesn't appear to have any weapons, but she probably has something under there still.

Her hands clench into fists at her sides as she takes a few moments to become familiar with her slightly different shape. Once she seems content, she grows a sly smile and brings her fingers up to her lips, where she blows out an ebbing orb of red fire that curls around her fingertips. Good enough.

Just to help, she picks up an assault rifle and tucks it onto her back. "Maybe those of us who can fly can just fly up and enter the city while you're doing that," the nogitsune replies calmly to Souji. Oh, she's speaking English now too. Much more relaxed than her usual serene tone. That's...strange, but at least she's getting into character.
Krezentia Einjager     "Hm."

Krezentia grabs one of the Canadia flags. She folds it, takes her baseball cap off, and then wears the flag like a bandana. She then hands another to Kopie, taking the GPS off her hands. "Here. Don't drop this. Be a flagpole!"
"I'm not a flagpole, funya~! Carry your own damn flag!"
    "I got candy."
    "O-Ooh. I guess I can carry this one, funya~."

    That'll do.

Krezentia's shirt and hair additionally turn white, while her eyes turn a slightly brighter shade of red. It'll contrast nicely with the flag on her head. All set! Well, besides still having a broken arm, but oh well.

"I cant fly but I've got a hoverboard, whatever works, though." She's not picky. This'll be fun either way.
Serori "I like the train idea." Serori works at pushing the hair from her eyes. It's not easy. The helmet's getting in the way. "Maybe those of you on foot could take the train while the flyers begin an aerial bombardment?"
Polite Words     Polite will glance around. "Feel free to start when you're ready. I have to handle one other thing, but I will be in touch over radio if you have questions." The checkpoint is currently closed, and there are men with weapons there, but likely not enough to stop a concerted effort by the group. The Sidereal will stride off.
Hiei Hiei sighs, since people seem to be doing a lot more than wearing a flag on their arm. He goes to dig through the clothes, finding nothing particularly in his size. No... wait, there's one outfit that got shrunk. Maybe in the laundry? Who knows.

He grabs a white tanktop and cargo pants, not finding any boots in his size. Then he heads back behind a crate and changes his clothes. When he pops back up, he's got on his original black boots, the military pants, and the tanktop. The scabbard of his sword is actually visible now, attached to his belt.

He wraps the Canadian flag around his now bare arm again anyway, then grabs a flag on a metallic pole, spinning it a few times. "I'd say that impaling people on a flag pole is beneath me, but I believe I can turn it into art."
Guest Madeline     "Mn. Fortunately I have been here before, and made preparations," Madeline states. "I know this area somewhat. This is the city I attacked with a construct of rusting vehicles over a year ago." She turns and heads into her mech, leaping up into the cockpit which closes with a loud hiss.

As the giant Warstrider rises, the cape it wears naturally unfurls... to display a Canadian flag. With a shimmer, the preplanned costume she sorcerously created appears, a hat atop the head and a red jacket surrounding the top. She's lagging behind the others, but that's okay, because she has transport...

In the form of a thundering noise approaching, revealing itself to be a massive dinosaur of some kind. With a rumbling roar, it displays jagged teeth as it comes to rest beside the Radiant Princess for her to mount up, a mecha-sized rifle in hand.

So yes, she's lagging behind, but will probably be the thing everyone is paying attention to at first. Checkpoint or not, it's doubtful that they're prepared for the support that is being given. The support of the RCMMP.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Mecha Police.
Souji Murasame Souji looks at the formation of the RCMMP and nods to both it and the suggestions of the fliers taking the lead. "Excellent. We will proceed with the plan."

Souji begins moving towards the train station, boarding a quick-transit commuter bullet train and simply pointing the rifle at anyone who gets in the way. They get the picture fast. He takes the intercom and states calmly, "This is your conductor speaking. The train to Detroit will be leaving now. Please stay in your seats, as tickets will be checked shortly. The usher will be by to provide you with compliementary souveniers for the trip."

He looks over to Hiei, the wordless directive to go 'usher' them into his demented army unspoken. In the meantime, he turns and heads into the control compartment, placing a hand behind the conductor's head. "Move. Full speed to Detroit. Now."

The train begins moving, and Souji watches impassively.
Krezentia Einjager     Mechas and a bunch of Elites to take out what's presumably going to be mundane (if armed) guards. There might not be any challenge there, but sometimes it's fun to just cut loose. Sometimes it's not! But today it will be, at least.

Krezentia lacks the showmanship of Madeline's contribution, or the sheer presence of Captain Canadia, so she decides to make up for it by being on the ball instead.

It's with a grin that she walks up to the checkpoint, Kopie flying a little bit behind her, over a shoulder, the Canadian flag trailing behind her in the air like she's a mobile flagpole.

And then she boards the train.
She'll find her way to the roof of one of the cars, to sit there. Why be inside at all? The view is much better up top.
Serori "I've seen more dinosaurs in the last two weeks than I even knew existed, but none of 'em comes close to possessing the majesty and grace of the fabled Canadiasaurus Rex. Good hunting, all of you. See you in Detroit." At that, Serori hoists two rocket launchers from the weapons pile, and blasts off into the sky, leaving only swirling dust clouds to mark where she once stood.

It'd be easy to just bombard the city from afar, but that wouldn't be too fun, would it? Nah, Serori opens up by taking aim at the border stations with her mundane munitions, nothing fancy. First one rocket's fired, then another, both streaking to their objective with wobbly aim. This isn't Serori's weapon of choice, okay? Using the resulting fireworks to announce her arrival, she plunges toward the station at an angle, punches through the rising smoke at top speeds, and comes to a dramatic, skidding halt in the midst of all those border guards. The Canadian flag she wears billows up from her shoulders in the heated air.

"On behalf of the Mercenary Elite Canadian Forces, I refuse your surrender."

Let the melee begin.

Serori laughs, and throws herself at the first viable target she spots, fists flying in a deadly blur.
Polite Words     The train had not been scheduled to go to Detroit today - with recent tensions, the border had been closed. Still, it's an easy enough directive to force, especially at gunpoint; there may be some complaining at the annouced destination, since these people were expecting to go to places like Toronto, but they'll presumably get over it in favor of either being mind controled, or in favor of screaming as the train picks up speed, rocketing along towards the border. Fortunately, the railline isn't being physically blocked, and they're going to be too distracted by other things to necessarily start shooting at it early.
Kagenashi     Polite Words is given a brief nod of understanding, and then Kagenashi finds herself abruptly distracted by Madeline's choice of distraction. A thin brow visibly raises, but it brings with it a slight smirk. Yes, that should do the job just well.

Off Kagenashi takes into the air, though her flight is nowhere near as impressive as Serori's. She simply seems to levitate, gliding up and away to the checkpoint. Rockets fly down, but Kagenashi keeps moving, using Serori's own distraction to give herself some space to move a little further in. Serori's got the border guards, and can likely deal with them; better for her to focus on causing a little more chaos just beyond the border.

It's simple enough when she lands on the ground just beyond the station in a light crouch. She stands upright, and with only the slightest smile, lifts her fingertips to her lips as if to kiss them. The kiss, however, sheaths her fingers in that burning red flame again, and with a quick /flick/, she sends it hurling toward something particularly flammable. Cars, mostly, as she draws out more flames and flicks them away, drawing further attention to cause some havoc and invite the authorities not dealing with Serori to address /her/.
Hiei Hiei unwraps the headband from his forehead and stuffs it into his pocket, quickly opening his third eye, very distinct from his other two, considering the significantly larger iris, and being purple. It's neither a left nor a right eye, it bleongs exactly where it is, and shows no emotion at all.

"You're Canadian now. Enjoy." is all he says to the conductor, and soon heads back to Souji, keeping his eye open when he returns. He stares idly at nothing in particular, but speaks as if he sees more than the floor. "Detroit is filthy. Their police stations are unimpressive at best. They seem as if they'll put up minimal resistance, but I've been wrong before. I can't begin to guess why we want it, though it does remind me a little of home."
Polite Words     The thing that will immediately grab the most attention, at least from those on the bridge border, is naturally the Mounted Mecha. The stunned silence is almost audible in the moments before the violence starts; then, the violence will start in earnest. The US may not have expected a massive attack from Canada, but they certainly were ready just in case of emergency, and rocket launchers are all the style these days; one is aimed at the mecha, along with a number of smaller weapons fire, before this group is rather firmly distracted.

That distraction? Captain Canadia herself. Those guns are going to be firing at a closer target, but they're about as likely to hit their own members as they are Serori, and they are prevented from further interacting with the incoming mecha, or the train
Polite Words     Kagenashi's able to slip past the border easily enough, and there are plenty of flammable cars and buildings in the area! Many of them already look rather burned out, but not all of them, and one of them explodes in a dramatic fashion after a few seconds on fire. This sends a number of people screaming, with one yelling, over and over. "The Canadians are here!" This is the type of response Polite Words had been looking for.

In the distance, sirens are sounding. Lots of them, really.
Serori Captain Canadia's not about to be slowed down by mere BULLETS! Dashing from foe to foe in blurring, half-seen movements, Serori spends no more than half a second a piece trying to break the guns, jaws, and limbs of anyone in her path. For someone of her skill, maintaining this kind of impossible assault is in fact very possible; she's not even winded by the time she's decided she's had enough fun kicking and punching and pummeling and shouting, and decides to change up her routine.

The first ki blast to go off has about the flash and pizzazz of a grenade. More of a concussive burst than anything else, Serori aims it at whatever cluster of brave American patriots happens to be the most annoying. Should she succeed in flattening them, she'll use the break to leap back up into the sky, so as to supplement the Mounted Cavalry's assault with little ki-booms from afar. Most of these are fired from finger guns, so as to appear more authentic for the setting.

It's when she's airborne that she realizes that, hey, a few of those guys got in some good shots! She might have to be a little cautious, after all.
Souji Murasame Souji continues to be impassive as he maintains presence in the conductor's chambers. When he looks over his shoulder to Hiei, he glances over towards the third eye, and then back to Hiei himself, before looking out at the track ahead. "The city itself is irrelevant. It is an excuse, a casus belli. Tell me, Hiei, what is the best thing to happen for someone who manufactures weapons? What is the optimal state for their potential customers?"
Krezentia Einjager     Krezentia stays on the roof of the train. Until something happens, this means she won't be doing much! Well, talking is never off the table. Presumably there's a radio wherever Souji and Hiei are, so she'll be keeping in touch.

"I dunno, according to Google it's an awful place. If you were gonna try to impress the masses, turning an awful place into a good place might work. Or maybe it's to recruit all the criminals there. Must be more there than other places if it's that shitty."

    Hell if she'd know.
She's not really a 'leader'. If you gave her a city it'd be bankrupt the next day. Probably sooner, actually.

"Well, the guy has a point too, I guess people who make weapons must love war time. Even cold war."
Hiei "Terrified, I'd assume." Hiei answers as he continues to stare off into space, seeming mildly distracted. "The ones at the border appear to be having significantly more fun than we are." he says, as if he can see it, presumably too bored with his current position to pay much attention to it.
Polite Words     The train is going to blast through the border, and given the instructions isn't going to stop unless Souji has it stop. The conductor - who is, in fact, Canadian - is trembling as he sees the carnage, and Krezentia will get the first view of the police driving in, their lights flashing, their treads making way through the streets...

Oh, yes, they're in tanks. That can't be good for the roads, really, but that must be a minor concern. There seem to be a dozen or more of them, which really raises a question of how bad crime is in Detroit.
Guest Madeline     As the Radiant Empress advances, the rifle in its hand blasts large shots, slamming into any clusters of troops that are too exposed. She's careful to minimize the damage, that's why she isn't using any Charms for this. Madeline drums her fingers thoughtfully, idly dismissing a bleeping status warning from a rocket impact. Her armor will be damaged, no doubt, but thus far the soldiers and rocket launchers haven't fielded anything that would be a danger to the Exalt. She's keeping an eye out for this, but right now sees nothing of note.

Except that a rocket catches her roaring dinosaur in the mouth. It's a sorcerously-modified creature, but still mortal, and a lucky strike has hit hard enough to cause it to stumble and crash to the ground.

    Madeline sees her chance.

As her mount stumbles and falls, the mecha lands on one knee, surrounded by rocket fire. Putting on her best performance, she has the Warstrider gather the beast's head up to her lap and chest, with the speakers shouting out. "Elise... Elise! STAY WITH ME! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

    It is a heart-wrenching performance.
Kagenashi     Sirens, people fleeing...good, that's exactly what Kagenashi is aiming for. More people coming means more people to take out for Polite Words's endeavors, and with the civilians screaming and yelling about Canadians, that /should/ clear the way a little bit. Exactly what she needs.

"Go on, run," she shouts, almost starting to dance in the streets as she hurls more fireballs around the area, twirling and flicking as if blowing kisses to a crowd. More cars are set alight, and those flames fly through the windows of dilapidated buildings, too, to progressively set them alight. "You wouldn't all want to get burned like all this /filth/, would you? Go, go, and we'll burn it all away!"

Kagenashi may be getting too into this, or maybe the pleased smirk she has is just all part of the character. It's tough to tell with her, sometimes, but as the sirens approach, she just keeps setting things ablaze.
Krezentia Einjager     Tanks! Police tanks. That's new.
First time Krezentia sees police tanks.
She could have sworn those were usually reserved for the military. Shows what she knows. It's not like it matters, cars, tanks, it'd take a lot of plating to stop her firepower. Granted, the weapon she's swapped to right now isn't the deadliest tankbuster in her arsenal, but it's thematic, and that seems way more fun.

The Magi steps further ahead on the train cars, and raises her only good hand, pointing the flat of it towards some of the police vehicles. "Freudenstachel!"

    Icicles!
Uh, five foot long one foot tick icicles.
    Pointed, sharp.
And machinegunning out of a blue-white spell circle that's appeared in front of Krezentia. She can't really aim for the pilots, having no idea where exactly in the vehicles they are, but that's fine. If they survive the hail storm, they'll be able to explain how the Canadians came by train and launched ice at their tanks.
Polite Words     It's not really that there's many people to view Madeline's show, at least of the non-Confederate variety, but it's quite the impressive show for the few who were there. Also for Serori; there's a few bullets still going her way, but by and large the immediate opposition is down, at least until others approach. Serori will see the first signs of other intervention, from outside the city; a plane in the far, far distance approaching.
Polite Words     Of course, 'civilian' is something of a loose term in Detroit, and Kagenashi burning things that actually matter to the locals, namely cars and also to a lesser degree the locals, is attracting the attention of some friendly local neighborhood associations. These upstanding gentlemen will begin to pull guns, shooting at the firebreathing thing as they run away. They do not have the precise aim of the more trained forces, but they do have the good sense to retreat as they fire rather than coming closer.
Serori Oh no! Canadiasaurus Rex is down?! "Oh, poor Elise." Serori stops mid-flight to rub the back of her helmeted head. Is Madeline seriously upset? She sounds kind of upset. Looks upset, too.

Well, nothin' to do but get back to the carnage!

Is that a plane?

Serori smiles in delight, and stretches her right hand toward the distant plane.

The air before her open palm ignites; rather than producing some form of deadly projectile, however, Serori's ki emerges all silvery and glimmery. Sparks like shattered moonlight glom together to create a fast-growing orb with a shining core that churns like spilled mercury. As it grows in size, so it does in radiance, until it becomes a blinding basketball-sized mass.

It only takes a flick of the wrist to send the orb drifting skyward. Without any direction from Serori's quarter, it stops at a set altitude, and there, it bursts, becoming an immense and magnificent source of moonlight capable of competing with the sun for brilliance.

To any civilians, it's just kinda weird to see the moon appear like this all at once, but to Serori, it's something much more special.

Becoming an oozaru -- a great ape -- is nothing half so pretty as a magical girl's transformation sequence. The results are kinda remarkable, though, right? Serori goes from a dainty five-foot-one to almost forty feet of brute strength covered in thick coarse fur. Fur that just so happens to be COVERED in white stripes and red maple leaves.

Somehow.

Serori plants her massive ugly ape-feet, leaps out into the city proper, and affixes herself to the first skyscraper she can run into. She starts to climb. And from there, she waits for the planes.

If she happens to step on a few tanks in the way, that's just a good thing, right?
Hiei All of that said, Hiei suddenly vanishes from Souji's sight, then kicks the train door open to jump from it. He wastes little time in jumping from tank to tank, peeking into slits and dominating the minds of the drivers. He does it to at least ten of them, and then immediately begin to turn on -other- tanks, firing with very little care for collateral damage.

Then he vanishes from the tenth tank and returns to the top of the train, quickly drawing his sword while holding the flag over his other shoulder. "I need to go to the mayor's office."
Guest Madeline     Hm. Well. The disappearance of Serori via leaping Canadian Biggerfoot has Madeline left alone... but that's okay. Her own Essence flares as capacitors unload, and she too does a running /leap/ that carries her in toward the city, landing with a loud >>BOOOM<< of giant robot slamming into the ground.

A little more Essence, and this is less obvious. Her voice booms out, "DEFENDERS OF DETROIT! We are not your enemies! Come, stand down and surrender and you will not be harmed! Is it not better to accept a superior savior?"

This will, of course, have some mental influence of her own on the nearest tanks or defenders. Most will only hear the words, not the effects, however.
Kagenashi     Kagenashi's pyromaniacal assault needs to stop for a few seconds so that she can turn her attention to Serori. Her twirl comes to an abrupt halt as she plants her boot firmly against the ground, perfectly placed to face Serori. She doesn't seem to /do/ anything, but soon Serori's turning oozaru, except...with a bizarrely colorful pelt to match their Canadian guise rather than the usual brown, as Kagenashi's illusion comes into effect. All Kagenashi does is smirk slightly in her quiet amusement, but after a few seconds, her expression suddenly shifts to surprised pain when the peal of gunfire rings through the air and strikes her in the back.

She falls forward, seemingly out for the count as the flames continue to go around her. Civilians flee, and Kagenashi lies still; is one of their assailants so easily defeated?

The answer appears to be 'no' as the nogitsune's form is suffused in black. From her form emerges a second shape, one much larger than her own delicate frame: something like a lion with an ape's head and a serpent's tail, bounding out from her body and gaining a scarlet sheen over its fur. It howls and barrels down after Kagenashi's assailants, snapping sharp fangs and raking razor claws at them...but Kagenashi is careful to control her secondary shape. Yes, it crashes into walls in its charge and smashes cars aside, but it's a very precise performance not carefully aimed to just /barely/ avoid harming civilians.

Kagenashi herself, meanwhile, soon stirs and rises to her feet, wincing against the pain at her back. That's going to need some recovery later, definitely.
Polite Words     Krazentia's hailstorm is quite effective, and more importantly very themeatic for the day; the icicles penetrate into some number of the tanks, and while it's difficult to tell as the train will start to pass them whether the drivers are dead or the tanks have simply malfuntioned owing to insufficient antifreeze, either way the attack is quite promising. The train is also driving the lines further back, and now the elites will see in the distance behind them the proper forces of the Canadian army starting to approach. This conquest is evidently going to have at least some support.
Souji Murasame Souji's prowess is demonstrated by not needing to demontrate it, for the most part. He is a nameless, faceless grunt who is helping to coordinate Team Train. Krezentia handily solves some of the tank problem while Hiei handles the other half.

Excellent. Everything is working as intended.

As they draw near to the train station in downtown Detroit, Souji gestures to the Conductor. "Stop here." He indicates.

He turn turns to Hiei. "Head down the highway and seek out Vernon Avenue. the city hall is there." How does he know this?

He can Google just like anyone else. "Take anyone you wish with you."
Polite Words     Well, it is traditional, now that Serori has stepped on some people and climbed a building, for the planes to be attracted to her. The classic ones didn't have quite the caliber of weapon that these do, of course, because even Exalted Earth is a terrible place. Thus, Serori will find herself on the receiving end of some missiles, rather than mere bullets, and may need to cut loose a little extra to really get away with the girl.

Also, noone should inform her how the original ended. Serori might cry.
Hiei Hiei pinpoints City Hall when he's given directions. He can see it quite clearly now. Already his ten tanks start heading toward it, and he brainwashes a few on foot cops along the way. But he's very quick, and he arrives at City Hall long before the tanks or the on foot police he gathered.

He smashes through the window of the mayor's office, holding up the Canadian flag. Then he looks down at his sword. Security raise their guns to fire at him, and he seems to swing his sword at the air a few times, never taking his eyes off the mayor.

That's when... the hands of security just sort of fall off with clean cuts, and they stare down in horror, but oddly not pain, holding their wrists and falling to their knees, yelling. "Don't worry about them, they're just going to bleed to death." he says as he begins his menacingly slow walk towards the mayor, ominously sheathing his sword before gripping the pole of the flag in both hands. He can't help but smile a little.

"Sorry, I was just thinking, you probably have a family." A pause, then, "The thought amused me."
Serori Before the planes arrive, Serori experimentally thrusts her giant hand into the nearest office-looking floor of the skyscraper in an attempt to nab a cute secretary or something. Before she can find anything more worthwhile than a 1998 Xerox Star 8010 model copier, she's hit in the back with a missile. The explosion puts the stink of burning Canadian pride into the air.

Serori /bellows/. Her voice is loud enough to reverberate across the entire city, and to shatter windows in the near vicinity. That hurt! And there are more missiles coming?! Still clinging to the building, Serori whips around to sweep the sky with her mouth cannon. Like spotlights announcing the opening of some big cinema premiere, the mouth cannon circles the sky in little superheated loops, hoping to catch planes and their projectiles in its midst.

A couple more missiles make their mark, though. Serori IS an awful big target right now; it'd be hard to miss! Those missiles burst against her protective battlesuit -- the only garment to survive her transformation -- as well as her red-and-white fur, scorching ugly burn marks into her hide. It stings!
Krezentia Einjager     This is going awkwardly easy. Not that Krezentia is complaining. Busting up some tanks is its own entertainment, after all. It's unfortunate that's the only opposition the train meets for the most part, but being up there does give the Magi a nice view of the incoming mechas.

And, well, Kopie and her flag provide a nice Canadian view for anyone looking at the train as it approaches. Probably makes it easy to identify the train. It's the one with the fairy carrying a flag atop one of the cars.

Once the train stops, she sits down on one edge of the car she's on and waits. Souji and Hiei can go chasing targets, she'll make sure the train doesn't get taken over while they're gone.
Polite Words     Madeline being left alone will get her to get PAST the tanks, and into an area filled with civilians and less armored police - normal cars, and bulletproof SUVs, but nothing like the actual armor she'd gotten past. These people do not have the will necessary to resist, by and large, and will begin to bow down to their new Canadian overlords, mostly in the form of the giant mecha.

This might be mental failure in most cases, and in others it's simply a desire to not be mecha-murdered today.
Polite Words     Hiei, with Souji's help, is able to make his way to the Mayor's office. The Mayor is not particularly well guarded, because presently every armed city worker is either dead, mind controlled, or trying to ward off the invasion. The Mayor will back against a wall, gasping, a portly older gentleman. "What do you want? We don't have any need to fight, if you just leave now we can try to forget all of this!" His attempt to plead, evidently.
Souji Murasame Souji doesn't go far, simply dismatching the mindcontrolled civilians into the city to support the army causing the chaos. In the aftermath, he simply leaps on top of the train with a casual display of superhuman athletics, sitting down beside Krezentia. "This was quick and simple enough." He comments to her. "I never imagined taking over a city would have been so straightforward. This place was truly rotten."
Polite Words     Kagenashi's assailants will seem to rejoice as they manage to bring down the attacker. This is short lived, of course, and they'll give up on even attacking as they try to get away from the revenge of the new creature. Spoiler alert: They're not nearly fast enough, and if Kagenashi wishes to get revenge, then that option is totally available! Civilians continue to scream, by and large, but it seems the resistance on the ground is mostly dying down.
Polite Words     Most of the planes will go down without too much of a fight for Serori, because they did not expect the giant ape to breath lasers. Silly humans. The final one will manage to evade, however, and make a turn, attempting to fly directly into the giant ape, a desperate last gasp to make some impact on the day.
Hiei "My people were insulted by the misleading labels of your maple flavored syrup." Hiei answers, unphased by the pleading. He stops, considering things for a moment... "I'll give you two choices of death." He pulls out his katana and tosses it to the floor in front of the mayor. "You can take your own life with that, or you can allow me to impale you with this flag pole, and trust that I can do it fast enough to crush both your heart and your spine, ending your life painlessly."

Meanwhile, the mayor's office is surrounded by tanks and police, all controlled by Hiei, and have left a trail of bodies in their wake.
Kagenashi     The creature, fortunately, doesn't seem interested in carrying out any lasting vengeance. Oh, it lashes out here and there and exacts some scratches and very near misses, but it continually comes just short of actually killing anyone. They're not supposed to kill civilians, after all, and Kagenashi's not interested in completely violating their terms, even with loopholes. Good enough, to her, that she's just putting on the show of it.

Soon enough, the creature stops giving chase and lopes back to Kagenashi. The nogitsune just offers it a small smile and a pat on the ape-head in praise, and then both of them are suffused in black before the beast melds back into Kagenashi's form. Once she's settled again, her hand comes to rest on her hip, and she looks around to confirm that she has, in fact, done a job well done. No more real reinforcements on the ground, at least; they must've given up by now.

Just to wrap things up, Kagenashi allows another fireball to seep out from between her lips, and carefully aims its slithering flight through the air to a car down the street that she hasn't set on fire yet. Down it slips into the fuel tank on the side, and Kagenashi has a moment to turn her back to it before the inevitable explosion.

Cool villains don't look at the explosions they cause, and so neither does Kagenashi, her back to the no doubt impressive fireball behind her as she saunters back up the street with a satisfied smile and a sway of her hips.
Polite Words     The mayor will look at the weapon, then at the flagpole, and.. Well, it seems it takes SOME level of courage to become the mayor of Detroit. He'll take the sword, and make a clumsy strike to try and cut down Hiei. There's rather obviously no training to it, of course, and it is likely easily evaded.
Serori That's right, those of you watching +conf -- the desperate plane flinging itself at Serori without regard for its own safety crashes right into her ugly snarling mug. WHAM. Hits her right in the nose.

"BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAWWWRRRGH!" The Canadian Horror-Monkey releases her grip on the skyscraper, and goes crashing to the streets below. Holding onto her bleeding nose, she kicks and thrashes around after she lands, doing what she can to tantrum herself through the worst of the pain. It's the kind of pain that brings tears to a girl's baleful red glare!

Mindless moshing does plenty of damage on its own whenever you've got Serori's altered size and strength. Nearby tanks are tossed like toys, cars are flattened, windows are smashed, and buildings are threatened. The street itself becomes semi-cratered from the colossal ape's colossal impact. Even after she gets ahold of herself, she has to sneeze a few times to clear her sinuses, and that sends mouth beams firing off in random directions.

Serori stands up, knuckles her nostrils a few times, and looks around. Looks like the city's starting to surrender, huh? Well, good enough. She leaps up to smash her own Moon Ball into non-existence, and transforms back to her usual self before she takes off in the direction of Canada.
Hiei Hiei appears to be slashed cleanly, at least until the slow eyes of the mayor catch up with reality, and he realizes that Hiei is not actually there. He instead appears on the mayor's shoulders, holding the flag pole over his head. "I commend your foolish bravery. Enjoy your painless death. If it makes you feel any better, atheists were wrong." Then he very cleanly impales the flag pole directly through the mayor's body, and even into the floor a little, allowing it to hold his entire body up once he jumps from the man's shoulders.

He reclaims his sword, sheathes it, then sits in the mayor's chair, putting his feet up. "I like this chair."
