Jinx             WELCOME TO SUMMONER'S RIFT

The Rift is, for once, not packed with solely Institute Champions. Tonight is a very special match, with hand picked heroes on either side of the rift. One the Blue Team.... It's the Institute's fielded Heroes, packed with a number of the Champions that have already made it out into the Multiverse, and a few other souls.

On Red Team? It's ADAMANT Squad.

The Lanes are getting ready, the Towers are up, the Nexuses are primed, and it's 5 minutes to show time!
Jinx     Jinx, for her part, is looking super nervous over in the Red Fountain area. She's got her starting gear, she's got on her very best belts, she's got Fishbones and Pow Pow, and is a bigger bundle of nerves than usual. "Crap crap crap crap did they seriously have to put this as the Match of the Night? SERIOUSLY?"

She looks up at the occasional floating scrying orbs and hex-tech scouts watchign the action from above and waves for the cameras.
Sanary Rondel      This is a first. Fighting isn't necessarily new to Sanary, but fighting in front of a televised crowd is. And fighting in a place where nobody really stays dead? That's...

Not too different from the Field of Trials, at least. Knowing about these things ahead of time does give Sanary an opportunity to get herself completely ready, though. She's decked out in her Tetsucabra Z armor, all her shells are ready, and she's even got her hair packed into a helmet to keep it from flopping around!

"Relax, Jinx. We just gotta give 'em a good show and get our asses kicked too badly, right?" She's lounging back against the fountain while making sure everything's on properly, eventually hopping off of it to give the Cannon a quick pat on the back. "And we can always win the thing if we stick together. Even if... Uh."

She pauses, looking just a little more apprehensive. "... This is gonna hurt a lot, isn't it?"
Ahri     Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the Rift, the blue fountain is starting to fill in with a variety of champions from the League. Ahri has shown up in a whole lot of new gear. The benefits of NOT WORKING WITH THE UNION. Shhh Ezreal. No telling. She's shown up with a few minor items, but the most notable item is her Spirit Orb, currently lit up, hovering just over her shoulder as she waits for everyone else to arrive. "I'm not looking forward to meeting Jinx's rockets again."
Karian Icefang     Azir watches the field, quietly for the moment. "We will have victory." He says, as he turns to take in his allies. He offers them a confident nod beyond that.
Ezreal     Ezreal is back on the Rift, for the featured match of the evening no less! Cameras are flying around, and the pretty boy Explorer knows how to play to an audience. He rasises his gauntleted hand, showing off his shining amulet and waving to the crowds. On the inside, though, he's nervous. Being on the Rift meant facing off against familiar foes most of the time, but tonight's match only has one Champion at the other end. As Ahri speaks up about not wanting to face Jinx's rockets, he smirks confidently. "Don't worry. I'll be tanking most of those I'm sure," he chuckles.

He gets his first buys out of the way, then mugs back for the camera. "I hope you're watching tonight!" he says, though who he's speaking to is left vague. "We're going to win this exhibition!"
Shizune Nakamura     Over on the blue side of the arena, a few purchases have been made, a few things have been pocketed, and the grizzled man involved in both these things has taken to leaning against the side of the shop in wait, unconcerned about the spectacle for the moment. "They sure do have some weird match ideas lately," Yasuo remarks idly, arms folded against his chest. "Exhibition match with a bunch of non-Champions from outside the world?"

There's a brief pause, in which he glances at the blonde young man also present in the fountain. "...Well, maybe it's not that far-fetched after all."

Azir gets an arched eyebrow, and a wry look. "Don't open the windows until the storm's passed, Pharaoh. We've still got to actually win it first." Ahri, on the other hand, gets a more curious look. She's been busy. "Never known you to be afraid of a few explosions."
Ahri     A friendly smirk is given Yasuo first, "Oh it's not fear, it's just not enjoying them, dear," she says before turning to Ezreal. That kind of enthusiasm will be great later on if everyone can keep their morale up. "Been a loooong time, Ezreal. I heard you was out and about, too. Glad to finally run into you again. Just keep the Trueshots coming, hmm?" Smile. As for Azir, the Kumiho hadn't spoke with the Shurmian emperor very much, and interacted far less. The amount of confidence he radiated was almost palpable.
Jinx     Jinx is doing some more checks on her gear, and grumbles over at Sanary. "Well Souji told you why he arranged this, yeah? It's been crap for me lately, just... crappy luck, people not helping, me getting caught out all alone, all of that. Just..."

She racks Fishbones a bit, checking the hex-tech bits that generate her rockets. "Hate that. Hate losing for dumb reasons."

Those red eyes narrow a bit. "They've got some good people on the other side."
Ezreal     Ezreal chuckles. "So they're not Champions. You're not afraid, are ya Yasuo?" he taunts, though there's no malice in his voice. He turns his attention to Ahri, and smirks a bit. "Has been awhile. So long in fact that you got some armor. Looks nice!" he says, giving a thumbs up. His eyes flicker over to Azir, and he smiles again. "I like your style. We've already got this won."
Karian Icefang     Azir turns and makes his initial purchases as well. "That we do, Ezreal." Then he looked over to Ahri and Yasuo. "Have faith. The might of Shurima will see us through this storm."
Shizune Nakamura     "A little respect for the unknown never hurt anyone," Yasuo replies to Ezreal. "What's the old phrase? 'Fools rush in where angels fear to tread?'" He finally leans away from the side of the shop, standing up straight and clapping Ezreal on the shoulder lightly. "You hang on to that enthusiasm, kid. Just don't forget - we have the home field advantage, but they do have Jinx to guide them."

The look on his face says 'I realize immediately what I just said.' But he doesn't comment on it.

Instead, he saunters over towards the edge of the platform, almost impatient for the start of the match. "The might of Shurima's all well and good, but you won't be offended if I bring my sword anyway, will you?" he adds, the faintest hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Everyone's got their own way of handling the pre-match jitters; Yasuo tends to favor a bit of the snark. But it's all in good humor, really.
Sanary Rondel      "Yeah, he did. Mm... Well, that's why we just gotta stick together. Can't get caught on your own if we watch each other's backs, right?" Sanary laughs easily and goes over to pat Jinx's back lightly, giving her gunaxe another once over just to make sure everything's loaded in there.

"Don't really get the rules of this whole thing otherthan just hitting people and buildings, but... Ah, doesn't sound too hard to figure out." She lets out another confident laugh to try and reassure Jinx, then checks the buckler on her arm to make sure that's securely in place as well.
Souji Murasame Souji stands, looking out stoically from the Fountain on Red team. He spares a glance to Jinx and Sanary as they chat with each other, then to Audrey. "Stick to the plan and we will succeed." He says, simply. He looks back out into the distance, as if trying to feel what's about to happen, planning ahead for what they are expected to face. "I will hold the center lane. Everything should progress as expected."

He steps forward. "Everyone. Stay in communication and prepare. Remember our objectives here and remain focused. Do not let them distract you." Even without Grant, he feels that they can still make this a compelling fight.
Xiaomu Xiaomu is a little later than she would have liked in joining the others in the arena, but she's here, she's geared up, and she's as ready as she can get. She *was* mostly planning to watch, but there was a call for 'volunteers' to join the champions in the field, and since Xiaomu was happy to get a closer look ... here she is.

She is possibly the last member of the Blue Team to join the others in the Field of Justice, but she grins breezily to her teammates. "Here's looking for a good clean fight ... or not, as the case may be!"

The grin which punctuates her question/greeting could, not unfairly, be described as 's***-eating' - and while an ear cocks briefly at the sight of Ahri, she grins wider and offers her fellow foxgirl a fistbump. "So what's our game plan?" she asks her teammates.
Jinx     From overhead, the forceful voice of the Announcer rumbles across the Rift.

THE SPECIAL RULES FOR THIS MATCH: TEAMS HAVE ONLY FOUR TURRETS IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF COMBAT. THE MATCH WILL CONTINUE UNTIL EITHER NEXUS IS DEAD.

    THIRTY SECONDS UNTIL MINIONS SPAWN
Souji Murasame And then Souji looks up at the sky, a mild expression of irritation on his face. "Do you normally have to deal with that?" Souji asides to Jinx. Nevertheless, he begins making his way towards the front line.
Ahri     The booming voice of the announcer doesn't make the Kumiho flinch. Instead, she just peers toward the sky for a moment, stretches out a bit, and then holds a hand out which causes her spirit orb to move into position over it. "Time to go!" she tells everyone, giving a welcoming nod, and grin, to Xiaomu. "Show me what you can do!"
Jinx     "YES, SHE IS A BITCH." Jinx accepts all the encouragement, but doesn't acknowledge it for the time being as she starts heading down the path towards the Outer Turrets and the River. "'Killing Spree!' Ugh. I bet you thought she was only on the broadcasts, but NOPE."
Audrey Stormfist     Audrey was always here, shut up.

The KIRIN supervisor, in her typical military overcoat of reinforced steel and likely mithril, has her gunblade sheathed, no additional weapon out (for now), but does seem to be bringing her A game as Sanary mentions not being entirely sure of the rules.

"I have studied the documents Jinx provided us extensively, not to worry. Although this ruleset appears to deviate from the standard mode." Well, it won't matter. She's fairly confident either way, and won't let Souji-senpai down.

"I have also looked over the roster of the League, but there is only so much information it provides. I will assume Jinx will provide immediate tactical data on our opponents as needed."

    Well, onward, either way.
Shizune Nakamura     "I'll hold down the middle," Yasuo replies to Xiaomu. "You do... whatever it is you do best." The thirty-second warning seems to put a bit of tension in his form. "Looks like we should get this party rolling," he agrees with Ahri. Without further hesitation, the ronin steps off the platform and begins to run at full speed right past the nexus and out of the base, wind already starting to flutter around him. "...if anything else, I'm not gonna be bored for the next little while."
Karian Icefang     Azir looks up, hearing the voice and nods. He gathers up his staff and starts getting into place. "I will support." He says before moving off of the platform and out of the base.
Sanary Rondel      And there it is. The voice signifying the start of this thing! "Loud, ain't she?" Snickering lightly, Sanary takes a long breath before following Jinx's lead. "What's it mean by that 'four turrets' thing, anyway? Does that mean there won't be any tower... Turret whatevers the way we're going?" She shrugs lightly and jogs a little to catch up with the Cannon.

"If that's the case... Works fine for me. Hitting a freaking building sounds boring, anyway."
Ezreal     Ezreal smirks, then waves to Xiaomu. "You guys know where I'm going. Let's roll, Azir." As the announcer announces the special rule, he blinks, but continues along his path. "That's going to make things a bit different," he says. However, after this, he falls silent. Last time he had met Jinx in combat, things hadn't ended well for him. He hopes today will be different.
Jinx     The Mid Lane, as it were is slowly starting to get crowded as a veritable horde of conjured little guys with sword and shields and wands and cannons all start to trundle mindlessly down into the path of combat. It is their lot in life to die, and do not feel sorry for killing them.
Xiaomu "Ooh, we get minions? Cool!" grins Xiaomu, as she follows her teammates into the field. She's not really sure what to expect besides a very lively throwdown when the two teams actually clash; she *is* wondering whether somebody ought to hang back on defense, but since nobody else said anything about it, 'the best defense is a good offense' seems to apply - and so she advances with the others.

Yasuo seems inclined to take the opposition head-on; Xiaomu is sort of following Ahri's lead (and sticking closer to the Kumiho than the others, if the team spreads out) for lack of anything more specific at the moment.

It's possible, depending on her teammates, that she'll let a couple of groups of minions get ahead of her so she can see what they do.
Ahri     It is time to prove her status as a member of the League! As minions spawn, and begin to crash into one another near the middle of the rift, Ahri is already on the look out for the members of the opposing team. For -the moment- she has ducked off the typical paths across the rift, trying to find her way toward a smaller crossing of the river. Why? She wants to see if she can see who may be going where, if they are going anywhere but down the middle lane. She is classified as an Assassin after all... it would be best to remain unseen. For now.
Souji Murasame Souji stands at the defensive line of their outermost tower, looking upon their enemy. He did his own research, and offers some tactical observations over the Zaibatsu broadband.

Teamwork is OP.

Jinx is by far the most experienced, but Souji stands there, waiting for the minions to move forward. The opposite line of champions causes him to narrow his eyes. "Interesting." He states, especially as he focuses on Yasuo.

You can basically /feel/ the Sword Guy resonance going here.
Xiaomu Well, if Ahri ducking off the path, no Xiaomu *isn't* sticking close to her - she doesn't want to spoil Ahri's stealth from her staff's rings jingling or anything. The huli jing will likely be bringing up the rear for Blue Team, then; she has quite a few ranged options, after all. (Not that she's any slouch up close.)
Audrey Stormfist     "We'll drive them off," Audrey answers Souji.

[Q] Audrey sheathes or unsheathes her gunblade, gaining a new set of abilities. When unsheathed, her attack damage is converted into ability power, and ability power factors into the damage of all attacks. Her attacks become ranged, and her next attack inflicts bonus damage.

With the weapon out, the Heritor produces a yellow-white cartridge and places it inside the revolver of the gunblade. She takes aim and fires, the Shockwave spell trying to rip through the lines of enemy minions-- and any champions attempting to hide behind them!

Ranged combat will do for now.
Shizune Nakamura     Yasuo is content to let the minions go out ahead of him; ordinarily, he'd go on ahead of them to feel out his opponent a bit, but that tall young man seems to be parking under his turret for the time being. And is that... yeah, that's a sword. Looks like it could even be a katana. Interesting.

He meets Souji's gaze briefly, but for the time being there's no bait to attack. In the opening stages of the game, he's quite happy to start with the basics. Which is to say, the enemy minions. Sticking just in side his own group of minions, the ronin paces back and forth, watching the initial exchange between them; but the instant one of the enemy's minions looks ready to fall, his own blade clears its sheath and cuts right through the minion.
Karian Icefang     Azir follows Ezrael and thinks again. "It is different, but we will not be defeated. We will teach our enemies respect." He says. He then turns and heads into a nearby bush, waiting for the right moment to call upon his sand soldiers.
Jinx     Jinx, for her part, is cautious around the river. She's staying between her minions and the others and away from all those goddamn brushy places along the haphazard canal that runs along the edges of the water. Pow Pow comes out, and the Loose Cannon starts off the boring bits at the begining of the game. Thinning out the enemy dudes to get at her actual opponents.
She does point pointpoint over at Yasuo. "HE'S A PRICK, GET HIM!" A GLARE. I SEE YOU, JERK.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary arrives at the outermost turret soon enough, squinting again before letting out an understanding 'oh' noise. "Okay.. I get it now. So we don't have to worry about splitting up or anything like that. Just a straight fight."

She's laughing again. "Oh, this is gonna be even better, then! Whoever's watching out there better enjoy the show?" She points towards the sky with her axe and grins widely for all of a few seconds before glancing towards her allies. "They... Uh. They can hear us, right?"

That could be embarrassing if they can't. Well, whatever. She's got to focus on the fight, after all! Following Jinx's lead, she takes a position not quite in front of the Loose Cannon, but in-between enough that she'd be in position to intercept someone trying to taget her directly. The healer squints a bit at Yasuo before following Audrey's lead and firing Ice shells in his/the minions' general direction as well!
Ezreal     Ezreal slows his steps, falling to the back line of the fight. He keeps his eyes focused around, before... He blinks away.

He reappears, landing on a supple branch in a tree overlooking the fight. One of the outsiders has a gunblade, and seems to be spacing with ranged techniques. The rest haven't really revealed anything, but he's not looking for or at them really. He's keeping his eyes out for the enemy team's guide.

When Jinx finally makes her presense known, he glares. She's playing smart, behind her minions and other teammates. With a sigh, he blinks again, reappearing behind his minion line. "I guess you haven't forgotten how to handle yourself on the Rift, eh Jinx? Fine then." He flings a few bolts, trying to pick up some kills on the minions and thin their force.

"I'm still coming for you! Don't you forget it!"
Ahri     There's a squawking cry from somewhere out in the jungle. Some raptors have clearly been sent out of the rift to be a part of a KFC bucket somewhere. After that, however, it all seems to go quiet again. Wolves aren't really howling, and there's no frogs croaking either. . . . Someone is busy out there. Why kill all these things? It means those critters won't call out when someone is walking by! No clues at all for Jinx and her team.
Souji Murasame As much as Souji would like to begin by engaging Yasuo, such a thing is tactically foolish. He remains to one side, letting Jinx focus on taking the kills. He glances to one side, not seeing Ahri. He knew there was supposed to be an Ahri, where is she? On the other hand, he totally saw what you did there, Azir. Souji turns and holds up a hand towards the bushes. "Slow-2." He states. There is a surge of MP as he forms the Spell Matrix, the Pattern surging from his hand and completing quickly.

A wave of temporal distortion washes out towards those bushes, blue-purple in some might call a 'Viktor-esque' fashion as he attempts to bait Azir into premature sandmanning.

After all, if they're already deployed, they can work around them.
Karian Icefang     Azir grits his teeth as he's suddenly slowed down. He realized then that he was definately spotted and rather then call a soldier, moves into the lane and starts to farm some of the minions. To do this, he calls up a and soldier, but keeps it close.
Jinx     It's not as if this is going to take long. It never does, really, and with this many Champions in the Mid with only so many minions to go around, soon the numbers are depleted, and there's only champions against champions, and the next wave is going to be... Well, Late for what's about to happen.

Jinx grins, spotting Ez, and she flips over to Fishbones, cackling happily. The Loose Cannon sets her feet and screams happily. "LET'S ROCK AND ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAP!"

And she hipfires her Stun Pistol, lauching one of those lovely dangerous lightning bolts at the opposing ADC, scampering close enough to start popping rockets out and into the midst of the ene-
SHIT SANDGUYS. Jinx sqawks and panicfires a trio of rockets at the nearest one, trying to get rid of the damn thing.
Ahri     Outside the lane, beyond the trees, and down the river, it's become very, very quiet. The lack of minions in where everyone is has not gone un-noticed. With the sound of rocket's going of, and Azir calling up his soldiers, Ahri decides to make her presence known just as Jinx panics. From the side, Ahri comes sprinting out of the brush, arm already pulled back before the spirit orb goes -soaring- across the enemy positions. Her pace seems to surge as the orb races forward, the fox suddenly spinning once before a trio of smaller flames appear and race out toward anyone that's close by.

HEY TEAM. THIS IS AN INITIATION. LETS DO THIS THING
Shizune Nakamura     Yasuo falls back as soon as he sees Audrey starting to load up; he's got no clue just what she's capable of, and his caution proves to be a good idea - that shockwave would probably have hurt. It's definitely done a number on their minions. He comes back around and circles to one side, however, carefully keeping an eye not just on Audrey, but Jinx and Sanary as well. The look on his face is one of cautious appraisal, as if he's preparing himself for something. The moment Jinx darts forward, he turns and dashes himself; the wind itself seems to carry him to and past a minion, slashing at it en passant and swiftly coming down on the other side...

    ...near Souji, rather than Jinx.

But anticipating a sudden reprisal, he turns and seemingly cuts at empty air before himself, in the direction of Sanary. "FACE THE WIND!" As if in answer to his words, the wind itself leaps up, dense and powerful enough to form a wall that protects him from ranged attack for just a moment while he closes in on Souji. "Let's see if that sword of yours is more than a decoration."
Xiaomu Hmm. That sounds suspiciously like the actual fighting between champion teams has started, doesn't it?

Xiaomu's ears prick up at the sound of Jinx's gunfire - the most identifiable noise in the Rift, since the sound of spells being cast is kind of hard to pick out (unless you REALLY know what to listen for), and she scurries forward a bit further, sizing up the opposition. Jinx, Sanary, there should be a couple more ...

Xiaomu plants her staff next to her, hunkers down next to it, draws her handguns and opens up - primarily on Jinx, and also on any minions that are coming past her. Sanary's getting some close-range bullet points as well if Xiaomu can get a clear shot.
Audrey Stormfist     They're making a dive for it.

Thank god for Audrey's Ramuhan senses. The slight changes in pressure from there being people closer-- the wind trailing behind them-- it's all enough to tip the Heritor off. Oh, don't mistake this for something everyone from Ramuh can do. Only a handful of them develop this skill to such a level it becomes useless in combat at all. When what else would you expect from Souji's, for a lack of better term, right-hand woman?

Ahri dives in, launching a ball of light forward-- Audrey sheathes her gunblade, producing out of her coat a long, pure white spear with green hexagons on it, and a large axe whose blade is shaped like a flame. She dives in front of Sanary, swinging the spear at the foxy flames.

The Reflect matrix inside the weapon kicks in, producing a bright green wall protecting both Audrey and Sanary. Ahri's flames won't be reflected wholesale-- too many of them, and too concentrated. The Reflect spell breaks, forcing the Heritor to tank the attacks for Sanary, scorches and burns accumulating on her overcoat.

But a few of the blue flames were sent back to Ahri all the same! And then Audrey breaks her tanking stance, lunging straight at the vixen with the flaming axe. It's an axe! It cuts things. And sets them on fire. Truly a mystery for the ages.
Ezreal     As Ahri moves in from the brush, Ezreal smirks. "Good work, Ah--"

And then he's zapped! He also gets pelted with a rocket for good measure, the explosion sliding the Explorer back a bit. He grunts in pain, but soon after he blinks, appearing to the side of the battle. He takes aim, then unleashes his Mystic Shot and Essense Flux. The Mystic Shot flies like a missile toward Jinx, while the Essence Flux is aimed... at his allies?

TAnyone allied with Ezreal might feel their movements increase in speed if the particles pass through them. He's aiming for Xiaomu and Azir, as the others are out of range. He smirks toward Jinx, then sends a basic bolt toward the newcomer with the gunblade as well. "Who's your friend there, crazy?"
Sanary Rondel      Some familiar faces! Also, lots of people aiming for Jinx. That's not going to go over well if Sanary doesn't do what she said she would, huh? She casts an odd look at Yasuo as he stops her shot with what seems to be nothing, but she's got other stuff to worry about for the time being.

"Hey, Ahri! Xiaomu!" Although she sounds cheerful as she shouts towards the two opponents she recognizes, her body springs into action quickly to cover Jinx. Well... Maybe less 'cover', more 'hipchecking her out of harm's way'. She doesn't regret it nearly as much as she could have, though, with Audrey covering the healer in turn.

The spirit orb still stings like a bitch when it passes through her, though, and the bullets and arrows from Xiaomu and Ezrael aren't exactly pleasant, either. They're not enough to put her down right away, but she'll definitely want to avoid getting hit like that again if the pained coughing is any indication.

And then it's time to actually do that thing she's good at! Channeling the magical energy from within herself into her hands, she starts directing that energy in a foggy green wave towards Audrey, boosting her natural healing to thoroughly unnatural levels!
Jinx     AUGH. Jink takes a few of those fire spells from Ahri and is summarily kocked out of the way by Sanary. But that's okay too, as she shuffles up to her feet. GOOD. Her team is drawing the aggro and that's good as another wave of little dudes starts to pile on into the fight again, this time with CannonMans in the waves as well. THis is her time to push the other guys back, and she just pops open with Fishbones, and starts trying to lay watse to the enemy minion lines with explosives. TOTALLY FOCUSED, NO ONE BOTHER ME RIGHT NOW as I CACKLE AND CHEER BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULETS.
Karian Icefang     Azir looks over and narrows his eyes at Jinx. The soldier falls to the rockets and attacks, but the Emperor calls up another moments later. He calls a second one after that and the thrusts his hand forward, and his soldiers charge forth at Jinx and her minion line, as well as for Audrey. As they charge, the emperor calls out "The order is given!"
Souji Murasame Oh god, Jinx just paniced, and the enemy team takes full advantage of it for an early initiation. Azir drops one of his sand soldiers, forcing Souji to dive to one side as the lance rips open a tear in the side of his suit. New opposition will take time to get used to. Meanwhile, Ahri comes burning in, Audrey doing her best to tank the alpha strike while Yasuo tries to cut Souji off from the rest of the team.

The Murasame heir's eyes burn as he raises his blade. "As you wish... Champion. Murasame..." The red ribbon holding the weapon into its scabbard unties itself, and Souji unsheathes the blade. "It is time to feed." The weapon is made of some inscrutable black meta, the runes incised into the blade glowing with a dark crimson hunger.

He immediately sets to, cleaving at high speed through Yasuo's position with a classic maneuver similar to his own. Any blood shed, however, is drawn towards the blade, absorbed into the weapon and healing the Murasame heir.
Ahri     No one in the League can send spells back at people! When Ahri's own foxfires start coming back toward her, the kumiho's eyes go wide. When Audrey's axe comes her way, she actually looks shocked. With the burst of speed granted from her Spirit orb sailing out, she tumbles forward, the axe barely catching her, but enough to keep her roll from being quickly recovered from. She bounds back, the orb flying back from where it had been sent. If it hits anyone on the way back? It seems to sting a LOT more, seemingly ignoring any kind of protection the enemy team has! "Ngh, ow," she mutters, slowly backing behind her allies as she takes a look at all of Jinx's team, and then she's out of sight again.
Xiaomu "Thanks a heap!" Xiaomu calls out to Ezreal as she feels the buff taking hold; she also calls out "Hi!" to Sanary in response to her greeting.

On the other hand, this is hardly a time to sit down and chat leisurely over tea, is it? Ahri looks like she just got pounded pretty hard - and Jinx going even more triggerhappy than usual prompts the Shinra sage fox to dive for cover. "Hey, Jinx," she calls out, "how much do those rockets cost? And how do you pay for 'em?"

She dives back OUT of cover long enough to grab her staff, and to get a fresh look at how the fight is arranged ... then holds her right hand out. "XIAOMU WAAAAAAAAAVE!!!" she calls out, and tries to immobilize Souji with a warding circle, a sphere of magical power forming around the swordsman (samurai?) if the spell technique locks in as it should.
Shizune Nakamura     The Murasame slams into Yasuo's blade; he's managed to get it up juat in time to stop the brunt of the attack, but not enough to prevent the tip from biting into his abdomen. The blood flowing into the sword draws his attention downward, one eyebrow arching slightly. "That's a pretty dark weapon you've got there." And then despite the wound, he pushes back with a powerful shove, breaking the lock and bringing his weapon around for a strike of his own. He expects it to be parried, which is why he follows with a second, a third, turning it into a proper clash of blades-

-and then the moment Xiaomu unleashes her warding spell, a split second after his own attack, his blade is suddenly right there again, stabbing straight forward in an impossibly fast stab. "Haa!"
Audrey Stormfist     Audrey gains Regen from Sanary!
    This is good.

Unfortunately this is followed by getting nailed in the face by Ezreal out of nowhere. The distraction is enough to get badly singed by Ahri's returning orb, though it also trips Audrey into slightly angry mode.

The fox retreats; Audrey leaps up, not to pursue, but to get a momentary view of the battlefield. She HURLS her weapons-- the white spear, at Souji. It slams into the ground at his feet, and bestows REFLECT upon him, with the last of the magic Audrey had stuffed inside. The axe, on the other hand, is hurled at Ezreal, the spinning, flaming disc of death moving with unusual precision for a thrown weapon.

And then Audrey produces two new weapons.

One is a dagger, with a sickly black glow to it. The other is a longsword, shaped like a lightning bolt. The Heritor dashes into Azir's minions, lightning firing from her sword with every swipe-- and more worrying, the knife has a chance to proc Death on hit, which is especially dangerous against minions. Less so against Elites, but them's the breaks.
Ezreal     Ezreal is on the frontline now, and this is a bad place. As he prepares to leap back behind the minion line, he is instead knocked away and back under his turret. The flaming axe slamming into his chest leaves him winded and hurt, but he stands back up as Jinx starts working on killing their minions. He aims his gauntlet, not toward anyone in particular, but toward the group as a whole. He fires another Mystic Shot, then starts working on thinning the minion wave as well.

"No, you're not pushing this tower yet!" he calls, magic lancing out toward the red minions while he keeps himself back. He was in a bit of pain, regretting his blink.
Sanary Rondel      Halting the flow of energy to Audrey to conserve her energy, Sanary encounters a new dilemma! Jinx has gotten hit with some of those spells, Souji's getting double-teamed, and the healer herself isn't feeling quite as good as she'd like. With Audrey covering the latter, however, making a decision is significantly easier!

Still keeping herself mostly in between Jinx and the rest of the enemy Champions, she starts to redirect that energy towards Jinx to mend the wounds from the fox fire. It's definitely not as instantaneous as she might like, but a steady stream of healing is still healing!

Of course, standing between Jinx and the enemy line does put the chunky healer in the way of just about anything thrown their way. "Son of a...! Get down here, you... You buttass!" She's not too happy about taking Ezrael's Mystic Shot head on. Even with the armor and the buckler boosting her ability to take these kinds of hitsm taking a hit directly like that still hurts something fierce! Better herself than have it distract Jinx, at least, although she does need to redirect the healing towards herself just to keep herself standing after that.
Jinx     Jinx would love to respond to you, Xiaomu. Really, she would. First, she shudders as deathly ghost sandmen cut through her like a ghastly wave of knives. There's a sudden bruising and slashing across her pretty tattoos, but she's GOT A JOB TO DO.

Right now those red eyes of hers are glowing RED and now Pow Pow is out and all she can really do is continue hosing down the enemy minion line. "BULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETS."

But now SOMEONE IS HARASSING HER SUPPORT. The Cannon's attention turns fully to Ezreal, and she.... oh, that's murder in her eyes. Like full on --Death--. "ANY LAST WORDS? HA! NO, JUST /DIE/." And then she's fully hosing down Ezreal. THIS IS WHAT YOU GUY FOR NOT BRINGING TANK YOU NERDS
Karian Icefang     Azir watches his soldiers charge on, only to be cut down by Audrey. Azir starts to fall back, but summons another pair of sodiers behind Audrey, and a third one behind himself. He pulls himself to the third soldier, while the other two are charged back.
Souji Murasame Souji's technique is very mobile. He doesn't stand still very much. as he stalks around Yasuo. The pair meet each other, a clash of blade sending up sparks. The Champion finds quickly that while Souji's blade looks light, it hits like it weighs much, much more than it does. His senses tell him something is changing in the weapon the instant before contact.

But Yasuo's own strike shows he, too, knows how to use his weapon. Souji moves to try to dodge out of the way of the strike in a blurred sidestep... When it becomes a race between Audrey's spear and the XIAOMU WAVE.

Unfortuantely for Souji, the spear is a fraction of a second too slow. The Reflect barrier begins glowing around Souji as the spear hits the ground, but it doesn't interfere with the warding circle, which causes Souji to slam into the invisible ward. "What!?" He says, moments before Yasuo cuts him.

There is a sick, wet noise, and Souji's eyes widen, the blade impaling him through. He falls to one knee like his bones were made of iron, stabbing Murasame into the ground in order to hold himself up. "Well then..." He hisses. "It looks like I left myself open."

Souji's blood soaks the ground, the red liquid streaking through the muddy dirt on the edge of the river brush. It weaves along the ground, being drawn inexorably towards the weapon.

Souji looks up. His wounds are not closing fast enough, but he can still do this. "Murasame, lash out! CRIMSON CALL!"

There is a wash of dark energy, as the spilled blood suddenly erupts into a rolling wave of scathing spikes and lashing claws that tear out towards Yasuo before being consumed.

Maybe if it hits, he'll stop dying. That would be awesome.
Ahri     Meanwhile, somewhere along the river, there's a kumihio chugging down a potion after her close encounter with a fiery axe of cutting things. If only that turret was down, but, alas. With Audrey lunging at everyone else, and everyone distracted? Well. Smirk time.

With the potion's restoritive effect complete, Ahri doesn't come rushing out from a brush. She's actually taking a page out of Ezreal's book from earlier. She lunges up a nearby tree, focuses enough Foxfire into her Spirit Orb to set it both red, and aflame, and then she comes racing down out of the tree, throwing the spirit orb as she goes. She doesn't even say anything as she enacts 'death from above'. It would ruin the surprise! Guess who her target is? It's that crazy gal with all the bullets.
Ezreal     Ezreal tags the support with his shot. As he attempts to thin the minions...

He comes under Jinx's enraged assault, bullets tearing through him and aggravating the axe wound on his chest. He scream out, but there's likely....

    No way to survive.

Ezreal slumps, falling on his back. He's riddled with bullets, and he's pretty scarred over. After a moment, the voice rings out.

    A CHAMPION HAS BEEN SLAIN.
Shizune Nakamura     Yasuo is an experienced fighter. Daring when he needs to be, but also wary by nature. He's willing to back off for a second or two, watch his opponent, appraise things for a second before diving back i-

    OH CRAP THE BLOOD'S ATTACKING.

That's something that catches Yasuo completely off-guard. A spike clips his abdomen, one jabs into his left arm right under that huge shoulder pauldron of his, another one stabs cleanly into his left thigh, and several of the claws manage to tear open ragged wounds as well. He leaps back, but far, far too late to avoid some pretty hefty damage. There's a fair bit of blood for Murasame to feast on.

"...You've got a pretty handy trick, there." Souji may be young, but he's got some fair battlefield experience. Yasuo's appraisal of him is enough to make the ronin wary all over again. So in a swift move, he pulls out and downs a small red bottle, and his own wounds begin to slowly knit closed as well. "Of course, in a place like this, so does everyone else. Including me."

The wind whips around Yasuo, and in a sudden and swift movement he dashes forward again. As if dragged on a rail of wind, Yasuo darts right on towards and past Souji, and lashes out with his blade on the way through. It's the same trick he pulled on the minion, but this time Souji is the target. And the very instant his boots touch the ground, the older swordsman comes around with his katana, delivers a single strike, and then suddenly unleashes that impossibly-fast stab. "TON!" Souji may notice a harmless bit of wind clinging to him afterwards, left there by the dashing attack. It seems like it would interfere with any attempt for Yasuo to do that again.
Jinx     JINX... GETS FIRST BLOOD.
There's a sudden rush of squealing, howling laughter as she watches Ez crumple to the ground, and she screams loudly over the noise of Pow Pow, feeding her Excitement into her hextech weapons... It's enough to truck pieces off the tower, but... really she should be paying better attention.

There's little more than an oof as Ahri lands on top of her, lights her on fire, and steals her life energy all in one go.

    "Hurk, bleaugh."
Audrey Stormfist     Ez fires another one of those shots; at least this time, Audrey vaguely knows what to expect. This is still a horribly chaotic clusterfuck though, and she's in the middle of a horde of minions, so she only has so much room to dodge. So she changes tactic. Tank more!

Her arms are brought up in an X-shape to defend herself, and she Braces, taking the shot head-on. It's not a very good idea-- Ezreal is very good at dealing damage, after all. Audrey is badly singed (and cut? those shots look sharp!) by the attack. If she were anyone else, that would surely be it.

    Thankfully she's a Monk, too.

Magic flows through her and closes her wounds; they remain no less painful, but at least she's not going to be bleeding or looking like a wreck.

Azir brings up more soldiers, even as she cuts through. It becomes painfully obvious cutting the minions isn't going to be enough here, she needs to aim for the master. Unfortunately, that means she can't stop Ahri this time. You're on your own, Jinx!

Trying not to get absolutely mauled by the emperor's minions, Audrey discards the thunder sword, producing a second knife instead, this one shaped like a green drop of water-- the point being the knife edge, obviously.

Rather than deal with the minions, she tries to lunge over them, activating a skill in mid-air. "VIOLA!" The Instinct, the techniques Heritor rely on, attempts to double-backstab Azir himself! The knife thrusts aren't even in his melee range, it's just a magical double stab from behind.

One knife can still proc Death, the other Bio-1.
And Viola itself, adds all the damage Audrey has taken so far to the damage of her thrusts. If Azir doesn't avoid the phantom backstabs, it's going to hurt.
Xiaomu Although the Xiaomu Wave wears off just before Souji unleashes the Crimson Call, that doesn't give Xiaomu remotely enough time to get clear before the wave of life-stealing energy washes over her, rocking her back on her heels. "Yeowch!!" she squawks, reeling, then rocking forward again with a venomous glare on her face. "You'd better let Big Sis Xiaomu teach you a thing about life-borrowing, swordsman!" She raises her right hand bright, mystic power flaring from her palm.

"DAKKI NO KATA!!"

She's primarily targeting Souji, but if any of Souji's teammates happen to be close enough (a few meters), they'll get caught in the spell too as Xiaomu leaches away some of *their* life-force with her spell attack.

... is she licking her lips? (Yes.)
Sanary Rondel      Things are really ramping up quickly, aren't they? Between Souji getting stabbed and not being in great shape while getting targetted by Yasuo and Xiaomu again, Jinx being targetted by Ahri, and Audrey moving in to take out... Somebody in some space she can't see, there's definitely way more shit going on than Sanary can process at once.

As terrible as it may seem, though, Ahri taking Jinx out does make the tactical decision significantly easier for Sanary to make. Mustering as much energy together as she can despite running somewhat low, she starts directing her regenerating light waves towards Souji to try and mitigate some of that damage he had taken earlier as well as some of the injuries soon to come.

She's not just going to stand there and do nothing but heal, of course, what with such an obvious target of Ahri in front of her. Panting slightly as she builds up to a running start, she tries just ram into the kumiho and push her right back towards their tower! She's not exactly the fastest person, though, but she does have a good amount of brute strength to follow through if she actually latches on.
Ahri     Such is the life of someone diving into the backline. Ahri expected to be assaulted the moment she dove in, but to get shoved back toward the enemy tower wasn't something she expected! She actually yells as the turret targets, and unleashes a shot, slamming into the kumiho's back. Without even a moment's hesitation she whistles and a moment later she just vanishes in a FLASH of light, only to appear a bit further away from the turret. Problem is? That turret REALLY HURT. She's making a beeline for her team mates and friendly minions..
Karian Icefang     Azir watched as Audrey came at him, but he counters the stab. He moves to pull himself to another soldier, bashing into Audrey in the process. This should engage a small shield around him, and give a light stun. With that done, the Emperor moves to get away from being the first blood, Flashing out of range. "I need assistance." He calls to his allies, hoping someone can move over.
Ezreal     It takes some time, but eventually, Ezreal's body vanishes from the lane! He reappears on the platform in base, blinking a bit. "Damnit... I was first to die?!" he says, "How lame." He crosses his arms, then makes a quick purchase from the shop, twirling a blue sword in his grip before pocketing it. He begins running back out into the lane, cursing his misfortune. However, before he gets back to the battle, he smirks.

He points his gauntlet down the lane, energy surging around him as he lifts into the air, a blow forming in his gauntlet hand. There's a rush of energy, and a crescent of small golden bolts streaks from his hand, rocketing down the lane. "INCOMING!"
Souji Murasame There's a difference between research and the reality of the League. Souji has a basic understanding of who he is dealing with, but until you have crossed swords, you do not truly understand the capabilities of one's opposiiton.

His wounds begin to close as the fragmented, blood-hungry weapon takes its due, pushing him off of death's door. Were this the end of it, he would have come out ahead. However, Yasuo and Xiaomu are not finished with him. The gusting strike from Yasuo cleaves through him and stabs Souji from behind, the katana erupting through his chest once again. Sanary's healing power keeps him standing for the moment, but then Xiaomu counters with her own lifestaling assault. His life is torn away as he, once again, collapses.

Is this what death is like? Souji wonders for a moment, everything fades to gray.
Jinx     And back from the Nexus.... Jinx reappears in a flash of light, looking green around the gills as she starts trotting out of the base with some fresh gear, trying to make it back up to be relavant still. DAMN YOU TINY LEGS.

Up at the River though, there's a crumpling, crumbling noise as the Blue Team tower finally falls over, allowing minions to keep on trucking past it, in a mindless wave of destruction.

Oh, Also Jinx gets tagged by the Barrage, and has to chug one of her potions just to get back to full. Dammit.
Sanary Rondel      With all the energy Sanary's been expending sending healing towards her allies, it's not too surprising that she's just about to run out. Unluckily for her, her plan to force the (surprisingly soft) fox lady doesn't work when she just flat out disappears from the healer's hold.

Even worse, the healer's reserves run out at just that moment, both halting the flow of healing energy towards Souji and making everything go black when her Magitech eye ceases functioning. Needless to say, there's a painful thunking noise when she runs right into the red tower and collapses in a heap next to it.

Sanary lets loose with a few pained curses significantly more severe than buttas, then points at the sky. "Don't talk like me, kids! Motherfu..." Definitely not a good situation to be in. Blind, not sure where everyone is, and lacking the energy to throw more healing towards Souji and Audrey.

Still, it's a safer position than being out in the middle with all those minions! She's something of a sitting duck while waiting to recover, however, rising to her feet and bracing one hand on the front of the turret while trying to listen for anything coming towards her. She freezes up slightly at hearing the Trueshot shooting down the lane, though, moving juuuust a little closer to the other side of the tower while waiting.
Ahri     Back among her allies, Ahri takes a moment to look over everyone that's near. Looks like one of the other team is down, Ezreal is -WOOOSH- ... On his way back. "Rush their tower while one of them is gone!" she calls out, trying to make a call before trying to move forward again. A few smaller blasts are sent out from her Spirit Orb, but after a moment she pulls back and sends the orb rushing forward again to hit whoever she can!
Shizune Nakamura     Yasuo's opponent is down for the count (quite literally). But while the ronin is still healing up a little from the potion, there's only so much it can do - and he took a pretty hard hit from Souji.

...And there goes their outer tower. Crap.

Yasuo turns and goes dashing back down the lane, right past the ruins of their tower. Someone's got to handle those minions or they're gonna take the next tower while everyone's busy teamfighting. So his decision is to dash through one, stab the next, dash through another-

A shot from a minion nails Yasuo in the back, and he stumbles, before turning around and just managing to raise a wind wall to protect himself. "...I'm headed back to the fountain. Someone take care of these!"
Souji Murasame Everything is gray. Souji finds himself sitting at the Fountain, waiting patiently in some realm between life and death.

He sits, waiting, in lotus position with his bare blade set across his knees and meditates while waiting to return.

Murasame still hungers.
Karian Icefang     Azir look and see's the tower fall, and shakes his head. "No. Shurima WILL Endure!" He calls out. He charges all three of his soldiers forward through the minion line, taking any that he could with them. As he moves closer to the fallen turret, he raises a hand and from the pieces a new turret emerges, a Sun Disc. "This now belongs to Shurima." He says. He looks over towards Jinx and Sanary, again pushing his soldiers forward.
Xiaomu "On it!" Xiaomu calls out to Yasuo, and she literally leaps into the minions' midst, drawing her handguns while she's in mid-air; even before her feet touch the ground, she starts pulling the triggers - and once her feet ARE on the ground, she twirls like she's going into a close-combat martial arts kata.

... which she kinda does, except with her guns instead of, oh, bare hands or a staff or a sword. And every time she pulls a trigger, a bullet hits a minion almost immediately thereafter.

A couple of them are going to get kicked instead of shot, for good measure.
Jinx     Screw all of this! FUCK EVERYTHING. Jinx sees the STUPID PHONY SUN TOWER go up and she just snarls nad plants her feet once again. "THIS WASN'T HOW THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO GO! THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO WORK!"

There's a howling mad scream from the Loose Cannon, as she shoulders Fishbones, and lets loose... somethign terrifying. A missle the size of a buss suddenly busts from the end of the rocket launcher and goes screaming downrange, aiming for the tower, the enemy, all of it.

    "BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURN."
Shizune Nakamura     You know what's downrange of Jinx?

    Yasuo.

Or, well, it would be more accurate to say 'was'. Splat.

Who was teasing someone else about being afraid of explosions, again?
Ahri     Oh no. Ahri knows -that- sound. The kumiho moves the -hell- to the side of the lane... only for it to slam into Yasuo with a massive explosion. Is that a happy face in the explosion? Hard to tell because the concussive wave throws Ahri into the nearby river. "HIT THAT TURRET!" she yells out, insisting on wanting that turret to go down. Where the heck is Ezreal?!

After a moment to recover, Ahri gets up, winces, and decides its time to Back.

    "Just you wait.."
Xiaomu So too does Xiaomu get gloriously and spectacularly gibbed by the passing super-missile. Right in the middle of farming the hell out of those minions, too.

It's probably just as well that the passing of the missile is *TOO LOUD BY FAR* for anyone to hear what Xiaomu says with her 'death' bearing down on her like that. The odds are very high that it'd be unprintable.
Sanary Rondel      Taking long, steady breaths to recompose herself, Sanary's eye flickers briefly before a light sheen covers it, indicating that the Magitech eye is working once again.

She's still clearly winded, however, and stays right next to the tower while leveling her gunaxe's barrel at the minions coming their way. She definitely doesn't look like she's going to come out from there anytime soon, content to just plink away at the blue minions from the safety of her tower.

Girl's even leaning on that tower to steady her aim! Laaaame. She does pause for a moment when Jinx fires that massive missile, though, looking eternally grateful that it wasn't aimed at her for not being able to keep her healed up last time.
Ezreal     Ezreal appears back on the scene just in time to watch Xiaomu and Yasuo die to the Super Mega Death Rocket. He sighs, tallying Jinx's score in his head as he does. "Damnit, she's getting strong," he says, before he steps behind Azir's turret. He starts trying to mow down the minions, but their team is pretty decimated.

"We need to make a push! This... this isn't going well at all!"
Karian Icefang     Azir watches and pulls himself away with yet another soldier. He hears Ez's call and nods. "Agreed." He pulls up more soldier and gives another command. "Forward, my soldiers!" He shouts, sending them on a line right for Jinx and Sanary again, bent on a double-kill.
Jinx     JINX DOUBLE KILL. The blue haired menace CHARGES back in, braids whipping around in the air like some hell maddened spectre of murder and guns. Hands flick up from her hips as she hurls grenade traps downrange into the river and just keeps going as far as she can. "FUCKIN' PUSH SANARY MURDER THEM."
Pow Pow comes back out, and she starts stutter-stepping the blue minions, popping pot shots at Azir and Ez, trying ot shove them off that sun disc. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH."
Souji Murasame Everything flares and goes bright white. Souji's eyes open and he stands, passing by the shop. TRANSACTIONS INTENSIFY, and Souji turns towards the battlefield beyond.

Magic gathers around him, and he forms another matrix. "Haste-1." He says, simply, glowing orange as his movements speed up drastically. "He is the wind." Souji says.

Lightning crackles around him, as the Murasame Blade rises. "But I am the Oncoming Storm."

Thunder rolls down the lane as Souji surges forward in a blur. The Blue Team is preparing to siege, and they're just getting reassembled.

Souji has his own plans. He arrives and stands before the approaching Blue team, his blade held horisontally. With a low, humming tone he places his hand upon the blade, and draws his palm across it. Blood, thick and red, wells up and is greedily consumed by the weapon. "Blade of eternal hunger, rise up and feed!"

    > Samurai
        > Sword Arts
        > Draw Out
            > MURASAME BLADE

Light dims across the battlefield as the crimson runes of the weapon begin winking out and a terrible, oppressive force fills the air. Xiaomu and Ahri probably knows exactly what's about to happen. "Murasame Sword Arts... COME FORTH, MURASAME!"

There is a terrifying tearing noise as black rips open in space around the mass of pushing Blue Team minions and Champions. Holes open up in the air and the ground, and with screeching noises, claws of crimson and black rip out shrieking as they grapple towards anything in the area. This continues, over and over and over again as claws pin down and rip apart anything they can get their hands on, the blood streaming out into the air in vapor and being sucked away into the blackness.

To those outside, it lasts a while. For those caught within, it seems much, much longer.
Ahri Backed, purchases, and back down the lane. Seeing Jinx surging around the lane, though, is something that would worry the kumiho. She can hear it, sure, but she isn't there -just- yet. Sure, a recent purchase has her moving a lot faster, but with so much energy pouring out of the Cannon this is going to be really hard.
Sanary Rondel      Push? She can barely even see! Still, Souji and Jinx /are/ her bosses, and they do probably know what they're doing more than she ever would in this type of situation. A soldier's job isn't to question, after all. A soldier's job is to fight, and to fight with honor and dignity!

And so, the axe-wielding healer charges into the fray with the two, rushing directly at Azir and the soldiers he sends forth. Instead of trying to plink at them like she had before with the minions, however, she's going for a much more... Brute force approach with her axe. No quarter! No surrender! All of her efforts are going into trying to cleave right through those soldiers and to actually reach the... Bird... Priest?

Just what the hell is he, anyway? Well, no matter. Sanary's goal is to sink her axe right into his sand soldier summoning bird face, even if she has to go down doing it!

She totally goes down in the attempt, though. Still, she tried.
Karian Icefang     Azir was caught in a bad situation. He was facing an axe to his face and wasn't exactly in the mood to die. So, he raises up both hands and...calls forth a wall of shield carry soldiers to hold Sanary back. Even so, he got licked good. "Your Emperor...will return." He says, retreating back to base for items.
Xiaomu Well, if Xiaomu were there to *SEE* it she might recognize what Souji is doing, but THANKS VERY MUCH TO JINX, she was in limbo, and now the sage fox is back at the Blue Nexus.

And then she's running, grasping her staff with both hands as she barrels down the lane to rejoin the fray. She only slows down when she spots the shadowy front of Murasame's power chewing through the air - and even then, she just diverts off the path, cutting through the jungle at the best speed she can manage.

If she can blindside Jinx, she's totally going to - apparently taking part of a page from Ahri's book, except for one thing:

"XIAOMU STUNNER!!"

The sage fox's fandoms include *pro wrestling*, and she demonstrates what she's learned by trying to powerbomb Jinx straight into the ground instead of leading off with magic like Ahri did.
Shizune Nakamura     The Murasame's attack lasts more than long enough for Yasuo to have returned to the land of the living, so to speak. But it clears out and, oddly, he's still not showing his face. There is silence, and silence, and still more silence from downlane. He surely respawned by now, why would he be taking this long to rejoin his allies?

A blue blur lunges out of the bushes through a minion from /behind/ Jinx, erupting from the jungle and using one of her own creeps to hurl himself closer. On the way by, his blade lashes out - and a bolt of lightning arcs from one minion to the next, striking several in an instant. Yauso waits until the instant Xiaomu's attack finishes, and then Jinx finds herself the final target of his dashing advance. She should definitely be worried, because charging in, he's got wind whipping around him.

    "ASERYO!"

And of course, if she can't manage to avoid getting hit by that powerful spin at the end of his dash, there's only one place to go from there!

    "SORYE GE TON!!"
Jinx     SO MUCH BLOOD, SO MUCH CARNAGE. Jinx's eyes are swimming at the blackness and blood and death from the Murasame, from the blade that carries that name. Minons are swept up, Azir's tower takes its last pot shot at a cannon minion, and then crumples into the ground, sand wafting on the breeze. Jinx is so stupidly turned on right now you have no idea but that's likely a secondary effec-

DUNK. YOU ARE NOT VI. These are the thoughts that come screaming in Jinx's head as she's rudely interrupted from her fangirling and gunning to get Zangief'ed into the turf, and then SWORDED again, this SUCKS.

    "Hurk Bleaugh."
Ahri     With Xiaomu rushing by, Ahri picks up her pace and rushes along with the other foxgirl. A quick spin, a flurry of foxfires, and then the light from her orb goes brilliant, the foxfires surge into the orb, it turns red, and then the kumiho -rockets- down the lane, showing off the move she came up with in the Multiverse. The Meteor rush! And she still has two more! "RAH!"
Ezreal     On Ahri's urging, Ezreal steps out...

And gets caught by Souji's ultimate. He can feel his life draining away, but he keeps himself steady. He's still squishy, and the fact he just got hit by an ult is making that show.

"Son of a...!" he says, before attempting to unload on the tower. Of course, he's in the open, the minions around him dying away. "Shit shit shit!"
Ahri "Now hit that tower, hard! Get it going before Jinx or anyone else can get back down here!" Ahri adds once the Cannon falls.
Sanary Rondel      How many people back home could say they've experienced death? Multiple times, even! Granted, the death here and in the Field of Trials isn't exactly the same thing as regular death, but there's definitely similarities between the two.

Waiting in that weird limbo state gives Sanary a good opportunity to think about things. To wonder if, perhaps, all this fighting is really what she's meant for. Or is it to keep people healthy and let them fight? Is all the fighting even necessary? Perhaps if-

There's a store. With shiny weird names and power. LOADS OF POWER. She can even afford these things! But what to buy, what to buy...
Karian Icefang     Safely back in his base, Azir feels his wounds being patched up and looks into the store. He grabs a few items to enhance his speed and his cooldowns. He also teleports into the battle again, using his soldiers and popping them into the turret, wanting to take it down. Of course, the emperor keeps an eye on his flank, should he need to divide again.
Xiaomu "Tower, right," Xiaomu answers. She looks down the lane, considers what she's already seen those turrets capable of ...

"Gonna have to bring her with us, sorry. XIAOMU BLIZZARD!!" The sage fox from Shinra directs some of Suiren's ice-elemental magic into Jinx's currently-prone form, encasing the triggerhappy bluenette in a nice big block of ice. Then, with a follow-up shout of "XIAOMU SURFER!!" she jumps on top of the Jinxcicle and goes speeding down the lane ...

Right into the turret's firing zone, crashing the ice into the tower's base, and going to town on the turret-tower itself with her cane-sword.
Jinx             MATCH TIME EXPIRED!

Someone up in the Institute must be watching the clock here. The Announcer Lady is non-plussed by the turn of events though.

THIS MATCH IS A DRAW. CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH TEAMS.

Also this game is butting up against the rest of today's tournaments, so the Institute is kindly showing you nerds the door.
Ahri "What? I still have two rushes left!" Ahri is actually shocked by this. A draw? Since when do matches on the rift end in a dr- .. Exhibition. . . Right. Bluh. It's also about this time that the kumiho spots Xiaomu and the frigid form of Jinx who, now, probably vanishes back to the fountain. Or something. "... That's new.." Then to her team mates, "Good job, all! It was nice seeing some of you again," then to Azir, "And it was an honor to finally meet you, Azir."
Shizune Nakamura     And time over. "Huh. That's a new one."

Slowly, Yasuo stands up straight, returning his blade to its scabbard in a movement that's smooth enough he must have done it ten thousand times. The chief draw of his attention now that time's been called, however, is Souji Murasame, to whom he looks with an appraising gaze.

"You're not bad with that sword, kid. Little experience, and you'll go far. But take it from me." He pulls out an old-fashioned bamboo flask, uncorks it, and takes a swallow of wine before turning to go.

"A sword's poor company for a long road."
Karian Icefang     Azir looks over and was surprised by the draw. But then he remembered it was an exibition. "It was an honor to fight with you all." He then looks to Arhi and nods his head. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Ahri. I wish you well in your future." He says. Then to Yasuo. "Your skill is impressive, Yasuo. May you find what it is you seek in life."
Shizune Nakamura     That does bring Yasuo to a halt, briefly. He's silent for a second or two, as if trying to decide how to respond to Azir. And then he finally says, "Me? I don't seek much. Just looking for a road home."
Sanary Rondel      Coming out of the strange death limbo zone, Sanary looks and sounds much more confident than she did before. It probably has much to do with learning about the store, and all the interesting little trinkets on sale inside. She's loaded up with defense boosters and aura-granting items along with a white magic... Sword thing. Not like she'll use the sword itself, but the words attached to it sounded good!

All she needs to do now is rejoin Souji and Jinx with her renewed vigor. She runs along the path, spots the two familiar foxes at the red tower, and... Then there's the announcement about the match ending in a draw. She actually looks somewhat crestfallen about that, but she recovers eventually to grin in satisfaction at the Champions of the blue team.

"That was a fun fight. Very... Very rough. Let's go get something to eat, eh? I'm buying." She's going to regret that, isn't she?
Souji Murasame The Murasame has drunk enough blood for now. Sated, the weapon is returned to its sheath, and the heir looks to Yasuo, considering his words for a moment. "It is good, then, that my sword is not my only company." He says, before he turns away to leave. He gestures to the rest of his team, and leaves with the others. "I agree. Some food would be acceptable." He replies, to Sanary. "There is no need to buy for me." The others are her own problem.
Karian Icefang     Azir pauses at that, quiet for a moment. But then he nods. "I understand that all too well. May you find your way home." He says, giving the Ronin a fond wave farewell.
Jinx     JINX?
Jinx reappears on the Fountain, on her back, looking up at the sky.

And then she's rolling on her back, laughing and giggling and laughing and LAUGHING.
Xiaomu "Well ..." says Xiaomu, checking her sword for damage, then sheathing it. "That *was* an interesting go-round. Wonder how badly we freaked out the judging panel with our unheadrd-of-in-the-League abilities?"

If Jinx is still here, she should be out of the ice by now - and Xiaomu will help the triggerhappy bluenette to her feet, squeezing her hand. Then she trades handshakes with everyone else who *is* here, whether they were teammate or adversary just before. "Good match, looking forward to the next chance we have!"
