Owner Pose
Cory     The section of Ring that Cory's chosen to hang out in happens to be simulating a large workout floor with plenty of exercise machines and weights. That's one half. The other half is a blue padded floor. Cory's standing in the middle of the latter, wearing her typical orange gi with the Turtle kanji on its front and back. Unfortunately for anyone who might know him, she has no connection to Goku whatsoever though!

Except in one way, maybe. The black-haired, slim young woman sports a rather odd monkey tail through a slit in the outfit's pants. It's idly twitching at the air while Cory, well.. she's got both arms folded, and a rather pensive expression. Embarassed, maybe, a little.
Fassad      Fassad, upon hearing of a combat demonstration by a Saiyan, rushes in immediately. The white-clad knight has no particular interest in the Saiyans themselves. But. The whole idea of 'achieving a new level of power straight out of the legends' is something that /does/ interest him. He seeks a legendary artifact himself. Different, but similar goals.

He comes riding into the Ring. Yes, riding. He sits on his white horse, Excelsior. His cape flows behind him as he brings his horse to a stop, despite the lack of wind. Yes, he is minorly pushing his cape back with magic. He is also using magic to make his teeth more sparkly as he smiles.

Also, a small Shinki sits in front of him on the horse. An Olbern. She's wearing custom clothing right now. A white dress, and fake fairy-wings.

Fassad smiles and speaks, "Ah, it is a pleasure to meet you, lady Chikorri! I hope I am not late for the demonstration."
Septette Arcubielle A series of muffled, heavy footsteps echo through the room before their source is revealed: a surprisingly petite-looking young lady clutching a lavender cloak tightly around her shoulders. On closer inspection, it's not hard to spot a couple of oddities, however: her 'ears' are a pair of clearly artificial triangular sensors, her eyes glow faintly, and her legs end in three-toed metal claws. The figure looks a little bewildered- lost, perhaps- as she glances around, before spying the two others in the room. "Ah," she murmurs in a crackly, synthesized voice, "are you the ones? I am Septette, if you hadn't gathered..."
Cory     The moment Cory turns about she's faced with a sight that's only confronted her before in kids movies! A handsome man on a white horse. Well that's enough to impress even a barbarian like her into momentary speechlessness!

"Wow... it's like looking straight at a knights and dragons tale." Well, lovestruck she's not, but holding in a bit of squee? Maybe just a bit! The wide eyes say all.

She wouldn't be caught DEAD squee'ing over anyone who hasn't at least knocked her into a wall.

The other newcomer gets treated to a head-tilt. Soon enough, Cory's rubbing the back of her head with one hand. "Pretty sure... ah, I know that look. New here like me, huh."

She reaches out with both hands and cracks her knuckles palms-outward, then does a few stretches. "Well I can show you what you were asking about... but it ain't much to look at?" Is that an apology in her tone? From a Saiyan? Maybe kind of one.
Fassad      Fassad smiles at Septette as she enters as well. He leaps off of his horse, and bows to Cory first, and then Septette. He pauses for a moment, considering kissing their hands in greeting as well. But, after the last time, when he did that to Sarah... Well. He decides not to. He ponders though. Is he being a coward on that front?

A smile at Septette, "Ah, it is a pleasure to meet you in person, Septette." He then motions to the Shinki, the tiny robot girl, who is still sitting on the horse. "Though, let me introduce both of you to my Shinki as well. Lady Serafina Christina Spryte Ari-ARcadia the Third."

The small robot girl stands on the horse, and curtsies. She speaks, in a high pitched voice, "It's a pleasure to meet you!"

Fassad then turns back to Cory. The smile still on his face. Though, let's be honest, she's impressed about him being such a knight. He's positively beaming, though he is trying to hide the fact that he enjoys his ego being rubbed.

"Ah, yes! I am from a world where knights often travel the land, and dragons do exist. I myself am Prince Fassad, of the land of Arcadia. I set out years ago to travel the lands with my horse, Excelsior. We look to do good, righting wrongs, and help the innocent! I am, in fact, a true hero of the land! Many even call me the Hero of Light!"

He pulls out his sword, and dramatically points it to the sky. It looks like there is a beam of light engulfing him, making him look /extra/ heroic.
Septette Arcubielle      Nodding sheepishly, Septette pulls off her ragged cloak and hangs it on a piece of exercise equipment, revealing a distinctly inhuman form- a sharp contrast to her initial appearance. Instead of having contiguous 'skin', her limbs and torso are dotted in flesh-tone armored plates reminiscent of an exoskeleton. The gaps between the plates reveal a glowing 'core' where her heart ought to be, a spinal-cord-like structure with multicolored wires running along its length, and blades folded into her legs and forearms. Septette still looks more skeletal than sturdy, but the gouges and dents on her frame hint that she's taken a few hits before.
The war machine curtsies and smiles politely in response to the knight, though she seems a little amused by his 'heroic' displays. "I believe we've spoken before, Prince Fassad- though it is a pleasure to meet you in person. And I'm pleased to meet you as well, little one!" Septette seems just as interested in the Shinki as she is in the prince- perhaps moreso- and regards her with a mixture of adoration and curiosity.
"And you are miss Cory, I can only assume," the robot posits in that pleasant artificial voice of hers. "I wasn't expecting... ah, never mind. Are there any preparations I ought to make before we get started?"
Cory     The prince's display brings a grin to Cory's face. Nope, STILL holding in the squee urge and channeling it into the most tomboyishly savage grin she can possibly manage instead.

"Hero of Light, huh. We'll see that in the field I guess." She has a similarly big reaction to Septette's reveal.

yes, she boggles at the exoskeletal nature. "Well that explains why I can't sense you or the little one..." Her lips twist around in thought. "Lots of robots around this place." And she gives the little Shinki a friendly half-wave of acknowledgement.

"Chikorri's my name. Nothing fancy, but Cory's my earth nickname. So you wanted to see the Super Saiyan thing... I was just gonna show what I've got. Unless you had something else in mind? I'm up for a light spar!"
Fassad      Fassad, for his part? He shows little reaction to the reveal of Septette's body. Despite how much he is concerned with his own outward appearance, he actually is fairly comfortable with the wide variety of appeareances of his allies. He /is/ holding a reaction in a bit, though. But, a prince never reveals his surprise!

Serafina, on the other hand, looks excited. The small shinki looks at the girl and her unique robotic body unlike any other robot body she has seen before! And so, she chirps out, "Soooo coool," as she looks at Septette's body.

He simply stands tall, sheathing his sword, and smiling still. "Well. I /could/ spar you. But, should Septette wish to instead... Well. I'll simply give her the first right to refusal, let's say."
Septette Arcubielle The robot nods eagerly, seeming quite excited at the prospect of a decent sparring match. Despite the clearly mechanical nature of the rest of her body, Arcubielle's face is remarkably expressive and sincere. "I'd be delighted to have the opportunity, Miss Chikorri! What rules did you have in mind?" Glancing over at Fassad, she seems a tad contrite at stealing Cory away from him... but not contrite enough to pass up the offer. Once she picks up on the Shinki's reaction, Septette looks a tad embarrassed at the attention, but can't bring herself to discourage it.

As if to make sure they still work, the robot girl flicks out the curved blades in her forearms from their hinges just below her wrists. They coruscate with a magically-induced current for a moment, then fold back into her limbs seamlessly as quickly as they appeared. She might not be conscious of it herself, but Septette's already adjusted her posture slightly, turning slightly away from Cory to minimize her profile and passively scanning her surroundings. "I'd understand entirely if you'd rather I not use my built-in weapons or magic- after all, it doesn't seem you brought any weapons yourself. But as you made the offer, I shall leave the terms entirely up to you."
Cory     "Heh. What kinda warrior would I be if I couldn't tackle people using magic and guns and stuff?" Cory stretches out an arm, doing circles with her shoulder. The prospect of a spar's gotten her excited just like that. "Well, first I'll show you what you came to see. Who knows.. maybe I'll get lucky and manage it this time!" One can hope, anyways.

The young woman takes in a deep breath and shifts into a deep stance, knees bent and feet spread apart. "Right, another try... HUUUAH!" Bringing both arms closer in to her body and clenching her fists, Cory proceeds to scream at the ABSOLUTE TOP OF HER LUNGS!

Energy whirls up around her like a swirling tornado - a wind strong enough to rip up some of the floor padding! It's thick and white, a murky light that quickly roars up into a bonfire-like aura!

Remaining motionless in the eye of this storm, Cory struggles hard with SOMETHING. If only anyone had the senses for such, they'd have no trouble at all picking up on intense rage and sorrow kicking up. Her eyes are open but her mind's eye is inwards.

Whatever she's seeing will remain private for now. What ISN't privte is the rage-filled scowl that flashes across her face. A look of desperation and primal ferocity.

That's when it happens. The air around her crackles, bolts of electricity briefly flickering through the air. With a noise like sharp thunder the aura grows larger and shifts to a bright golden yellow! A few seconds later Cory's hair also wafts and drifts around in the wind, rising upwards. Every bit of hair on her, from head, to eyebrows, to her tail shifts to a muddy yellowish shade... some of it, anyways. The change begins at the roots and slowly creeps upwards!

But just as the display's reaching a fever pitch and it SEEMS like SOMETHING's about to happen---

It all comes to a screeching halt. The aura vanishes with a SNAP and she topples over onto hands and knees, hair back to normal too. "hah.... hwehgh....." She's left gasping and panting for breathing...

    "n... nope... not lucky..."
Fassad      Fassad moves to lean back against his horse a little bit. Petting him a bit. He wants to stay back from this fight. But, as he watches Chikorri's transformation attempt? He just smiles.

"Do not worry! One day, you will get it! You seem so close!"
Septette Arcubielle      Septette's eyes widen with a quiet whirr as she watches the spectacle, and though she's dense enough not to be buffeted about by the fierce winds, the robot takes a step back and clutches her cloak before it can fly away. Despite the fact that it ultimately fails, she seems startled- impressed, even- by Cory's display, and her talon-like feet dig into the padded floor instinctively to help avoid getting blown away.

Throughout the attempted transformation, Arcubielle stays respectfully silent, but once Cory seems to have recovered somewhat, she steps forward and offers the saiyan a hand. "A valiant effort, Miss Cory. Would you like a moment before we get started?"
Cory     "Hwah..." Cory takes the hand after blinking at it. She wasn't expecting kindness, but she accepts it regardless and raises, dusting off her gi. Fassad and Septette are both given a sheepish look of apology... is she really embarassed about the failure? Probably.

"Close isn't gonna cut it I'm afraid. what's the saying about horseshoes and hand grenades?"

Then she executes a backflip and places herself apart from Septette, tail wraping around her waist. "I'm fine! Wasn't expecting so much fighting spirit from a robot... you've got me interested!"
Septette Arcubielle      "The saying... that they are interchangeable in destructive capacity if one throws the horseshoe at sufficiently high velocities?" Septette shrugs. "Not sure that we have a cultural equivalent, Miss Cory." Bending her digitigrade legs a little bit, the robot sinks into a fighting stance and flips out the blades on her arms again. This time, they're imbued with a different effect: the air around them starts to distort and crinkle like cellophane, and in a matter of seconds they're glowing orange with heat.

Septette's lips curl into a lopsided grin as she analyzes Cory's stance. "Why would you be surprised by that, Miss Cory? I was designed, in body and in mind, to fight. Of course I have spirit!"

As if to underscore her assertion, the war machine makes the first move: she drives one of her arm-blades into the ground, scorching and blistering the padding, and extends it to launch herself in an arc towards Cory, holding her other blade between them. It's not the quickest maneuver, but the petite robot's deceptive density puts surprising momentum behind her leaping charge!
Cory     "Uhhhhhh---" Cory blinks a few times. Then her twisting-up, perplexed lips frown. "n-noooo. Don't think that's how it goes.." She shrugs back, and takes note of the blades. White light gathers around her palms and arms, a thick layer of Ki circulating around them and through the muscles in kind.

    "Is that so?!"

Grinning, she takes the opening blows head on - and that's a big mistake.

Skin blisters and sizzles on contact, but somehow the blade's not cutting deeper than a scratch through Cory's blocking arm. The impact's totally solid... but Cory only manages to hold the guard for a split second. Her body compresses all that momentum up like a spring, which she releases in a backflip. The moment her feet touch ground... "KAIOKEN TIMES FOUR!" Once again she's wreathed in an aura, this time a bright fiery red!

And she comes in with a spinning kick to the side of Septette's head.
Septette Arcubielle      A look of surprise flashes across Septette's face as her strike is blocked, but it swiftly changes to an expression of almost-manic delight: it seems like she doesn't have to worry about hurting Cory too badly after all. The robot follows it up with a sweeping slash from her other blade aimed at Cory's abdomen, but by the time it would connect, the sudden backflip puts her opponent out of reach. "Kaioken? What's-"

Septette's bewilderment lasts for only a moment before Cory answers that for her. Either unable or unwilling to block the spinning kick, she takes it directly to the temple and hits the mat hard a second later with a resounding THUD. If she were human, Arcubielle would likely be out cold.

     If she were human.

Though she allows her body to go limp, the robotic girl doesn't lose her wits for an instant. The blade on her left leg folds out with a dangerous-sounding electric crackle, and she aims a sweeping kick with the sharp appendage at Cory's knees as soon as she lands!
