Scene #2407: Busou Shinki Battle Rondo: Aurora vs Kari!

Fuki	The crowd is cheering, the monitors are lit up and the visualizer is humming with energy and the lights fall upon the announcers table, the bowl of water with a mic draped over it and a Ianeria Shinki inside. "Evening, evening everyone! Welcome to the semifinals of the Busou Shinki Battle Rondo! Mary is out tonight on an errand with her Master but I, Ia, will be announcing this very fun fight! So grab a seat, grab your favorite drink and enjoy one spectacular scuffle!" The spotlights fall on the two Shinki in the arena, "We have Kari Wolf, who had an excellent fight to get her into the Semifinals, this up and coming competetor has been giving it her all today, so everyone, let's give her a welcoming cheer!" With this, the crowd cheers for Kari, chanting happily. "In the other side of the arena, we have the brand new Shinki, Aurora, here who's shown tht even the first timers can get quite far! Everyone give a welcoming cheer into the Semifinals!" once more, the cheering starts for the Tempesta! "Today's arena is going to be the lovely Cannon Castle, filled with a variety of anti air guns, this can prove beneficial to the grounded Howling model as the Tempesta has excellent ranges from air and ground. This can be anyone's match, so watch and be amazed!"
Vervi	"/HOLD IT!/" From above the counter holding Ia's waterbowl, a spotlight highlights a fierce looking Maryceles shinki, her hands held aloft in a challenging gesture, "Working alone again, aren't you?! Watching VIOLENCE without me! How could you, Ia!" Tucking her arms in, Mary jumps from her perch and right into the waterbowl, wrapping her arms around the mermaid shinki's neck in a mock headlock, "I told Master to get drink without me--like HELL I'm missing the semifinals!"
Fuki	"Ara ara~, I see Master let you go early tonight. It just started!" a groan as Ia is tugged into the mock headlock. "NOw now, save that enthusiasm for the competetors!"
Aurora	As the spotlight is shined upon her, Aurora gives a happy wave and a cheer back to the crowd. The purple armored Shinki's body shimmers as she brings her full weaponry to bare and pumps her fist into the air. "I'm here to bring my Master happiness and to win the Battle Rondo! I will make it to the finals!" she calls out, her swords pointing towards the other side of the arena. "YOu've done well to get this far but a basic model Howling shouldn't be a match for a highly tuned Tempesta! I'll show you why I'm the Purple Blaze!"
Kari Wolf	Kari heys! "I'm not a basic model Howling! And if they'd allow it, I'd show you just how un-basic I am! You'd get to see the Dire Wolf armor!" She calls from atop the large stone castle. Her drones pop into existence with bursts of multi-colored light and dart off to hide among the castle's bits and pieces. "I only have one thing to say to you, Miss Rude!" "THPPPPBBT!"
Aurora	And with that, the start of the match is given! "Did... she just... raspberry me?!" Aurora puffs her cheeks out in a frown before taking to the sky. So, cannon castle huh, anti air emplacements, limited ground movement. "Hehehe, I think I have this in the bag. HEY PUPPY!" she taunts, the two swords dissapearing from view only to pull out her beam rifle. Aurora's thrusters kick in and send her flying into the air as she traces her gun along some of the area, "Welp, time to get rid of some of that anti air." and with a flick of a switch and a long trigger press, she sends rapid fire bolts of lasers all across the arena in hopes to damage some of the anti air and her opponent if she's lucky!
Kari Wolf	Kari is grazed by the laser fire and disappears into the depths of the castle. As Aurora is taking out the anti-air, she forgets that Kari has her drones hiding among the castle's fortifications! Hit and run potshots pepper across the Tempesta's flight path from the drones, in addition to the randomized firing patterns of the castle defenses themselves. Even if Aurora wants to take out the anti-air, the air is still filled with lasers, AA fire, and mortars. Kari transmits the sound of clinking bottles over the radio. "Auroooraaa~! Come out and plaaaaay~!"
Aurora	Bingo. Aurora comes dashing in only to take a quick upwards acceleration to avoid the majority of the anti air and mortars, "She must have her drones doing that." she grumbled, looking for an opening as in a bullet hell shooter with her as the player. Welp, if she wants to play it this way, then so be it! "Okay!" she responds, diving head first towards the castle, gun blazing in a focused fire towards one of the walls she believes the Shinki is at. "Come and get close, my swords want to play too!" she smiled, she's enjoying this as her six bits materalize and float around her, the red tips pointing behind. "You wanna play too, it'll be fun!"
Kari Wolf	Kari winces as she's hit hard by the lasers, but reveals her ploy as she hucks a chunk of masonry from the castle at Aurora as flies inward towards her. With both arms. Kari actually isn't controlling the gun emplacements, she realized they were set to automatic if nobody was manning them, which is why her mini machines are keeping low and near the castle ramparts. They're recalled back to the Howling in blinks of light, to keep Aurora guessing about where they are.
Aurora	Aurora holds still as the masonry is chucked at her, a stoic blink coming to her as she stares the Howling down. "Really?" She's not impressed. That flash of light returns, the gun gone and the twin blades are pulled into view. "Shall we?" she smiled, dashing herself forth to chase down the Howling model, her blades glowing purple as she starts having purple streaks trailing off of her... "I'll show you why I'm the Purple Blaze!" With a quick twist, Aurora brings both of her blades down in an X like fashion towards the Howling model, only to shoot off past her and turn back into the sky!
Kari Wolf	Kari takes the attack by /grabbing/ the blades with her gauntlets and consequentally getting dragged up against and battered by the castle's stone emplacements. If that wasn't enough, some of the anti-air bursts go off near her, causing further damage and embedding shrapnel bits into the armor. "SURPRISE!" says the Howling as she lets go of one blade and attempts to grab Aurora's face with the oversized grips of her gauntlet. The other arm tries to wrench Aurora's arm, twisting violently and suddenly to force the other shinki to drop the sword for now.
Aurora	"Wh... hey, I didn't say you could be a passenger on this flight!" Aurora shouts, only to get a faceful of Howling gauntlet. The Shinki flails slightly in mid air and takes a good knick of one of the anti air shrapnel and with this, lets go of her blades only for them to dissapear back into her slipway. "LEGGO! Get off me!" as she kciks around, flailing some and using her fists to try to PUNCH the freeloading flight finagler off of her! "Aurora Air is not acceping passengers!"
Aurora	"Wh... hey, I didn't say you could be a passenger on this flight!" Aurora shouts, only to get a faceful of Howling gauntlet. The Shinki flails slightly in mid air and takes a good knick of one of the anti air shrapnel and with this, lets go of her blades only for them to dissapear back into her slipway. "LEGGO! Get off me!" as she kciks around, flailing some and using her fists to try to PUNCH the freeloading flight finagler off of her! "Aurora Air is not acceping passengers!"
Kari Wolf	Despite the flailing of her ride, Kari maintains grip and swings around a bit to avoid getting punched off. Okay, step 2. What was step 2? Uh... Oh right. Step 2. Punch a thruster /really/ hard and hope it breaks, reducing Aurora's flight speed. Or something. Kari lets go of Aurora's arm and rocks back, still with a death grip on Aurora's face, and swings, trying to time it with the motion of Aurora's frantic flight. "Time to clip your wings!"
Aurora	Aurora closes her eyes and groans as the punch does do mostly what it was intended to do! One of the thrusters start sputtering, only to fall off in power and send the two Shinki into a nosedive towards the ground, the shrapnel from the anti air fire embedding itself into Aurora's back armor as well and making unclean dents and scratches into her armor. That hurt.. Grabbing at Kari, she tries to tug the clinging Shinki off of her face. "I know we're allies and need to be close and all but this is too much! Now get off!" as she tugs even harder to throw down but with her attack bits coming into view once more, they turn to fire pelting lasers at Kari to get her off!
Kari Wolf	Kari is forced off trying to evade the lasers by swinging and grabbing for purchase. She grabs at Aurora's arm as she falls, both gauntlets are going to end up yanking hard on the Tempesta's limb if she manages to. The mini machines pop back in and dogfight the bits, trying to take out their more nimble counterparts.
Aurora	The bits keep firing and as they become critically damaged, Aurora dismisses them back into the slipway so they can be repaired... then... POP! Aurora's left arm is yanked off as she crashes into the ground, creating a nice crater where she landed, hopefully also on top of Kari. "Nnngh..." she mutters, pulling her rifle out of the slipway once more. "You broke me..." the frown on Aurora's face becomes even... frown-ier... as she takes aim down the barrel, bracing it against her shoulder. A quick flip of another switch and the gun hums with energy in it.. "I'm going to win, Kari. I promised Ariah!" and with that, she lets out a large laser blast from her rifle, dead set to demolishing something!
Kari Wolf	"Oh, probably!" Kari says after getting up from the blast, a shoulder armor pad gone and a nice scorch mark across her helmet and face. The Howling waves Aurora's arm at its owner. "But now I can do this!" And it looks like Kari is going to beat Aurora down with her own arm, but instead- The mini-machines come flying in furiously blasting lasers and stuff at Aurora! Flurry of lasers flying everywhere! And then Kari jumps in from above with the Boneshaker Bazooka and lets loose with her own flurry of heavy laser fire.
Aurora	Aurora grins as the blast hits, a cheering sound as she jumps up and makes a fist pump in the air only... "Huh?" Kari's not down. And she's getting up... and she has the Bazooka... "Oh dear..." Aurora ducks and covers herself under her jetpack as she's assailed by the flurry of pretty flashlights. That hurt like hell when getting hit by! As the laser fire finishes, Aurora looks up, battered and dented all over, scorch marks coverig up the pretty purple she had and her face all scorched... her flight armor's near wrecked and she's missing an arm. She doesn't look that great. At least until some of the remaining attack bits come flying out of the slipway. The really damaged ones still in. "FUSILLADE!" The red laser beams start charging up for another round and the rifle thrums with energy before another full set of blasts from four attack bits and the rifle come pouring out from the Tempesta, filling the area with bright lights like the Howling did!
Kari Wolf	"Really? Copycat!" Kari says as she tries to dodge the lasers and loses more of her protective armor in the process. She dives in towards Aurora and goes to grab the other shinki by the feet with those busted up gauntlets of hers. And then, if getting a grip is in the cards, proceeds to bash Aurora around the place like a club before hucking her straight into a castle wall.
Aurora	Aurora chuckles, "If it works?" but when the Howling decides to get up close and personal to the Purple Blaze, it's about to get dangerous. And by dangerous, she means she's getting a one way trip to pain town on the Barktown Express. The grip is solid and while she's struggling to get out, the bashing is effective too, breaking off the jet armor she had and even smashing up her torso and bacck even more now that the armor's gone and when she's hucked at the castle wall, she takes a good chunk of it out! Not to be out done, she shakes her head and slowly breathes, kicking out of the rubble she's under, wielding her large sword in her right hand, her only good hand. "Time to finish this." she coughs, sprinting across the battlefield, hopping barricades like they didn't exist, rushing straight for the Howling. "I will win this for Master!" closer and closer she gets, the sword spread behind her until soon she jumps, spins and brings the sword down towards Kari!
Kari Wolf	The final blow is struck! Kari's armor dematerializes with the swordblow and the win is awarded to Aurora. Since the visualizer made all the damage unreal, Kari does get up to smile and congratulate Aurora. "That was a good battle, Aurora! Good luck in the finals!"
