Owner Pose
Bruce Banner Early afternoon, Malibu's beach just below the ocky crags upon which stately Stark Manion perchs. The mansion glimmers a bit from the bright sun's rays bouncing off of all of the galss and surfaces. To Doctor Bruce Banner, however, it is a mere glimmer through UV sunglasses.

The good doctor sits propped on a small portable beach longer, a data tablet in hand as he lazily reads the news or works on some technical formula he may have sudden inspiration on. JARVIS and Pepper have both indicated that a decendant of Steve Rodgers was interested in meeting him. Bruce figures it should be a casual meeting. Being as Bruce enjoys low pressure and stress free, he's decided the beach was as good a spot as any. Besides, he's only a short distance from the mansion and should anything crazy happen, he always has...the other guy.
Sarah Rogers      Sarah approaches the Stark Mansion from the air. She's keeping an eye out for a big green guy. That's the only Bruce she knows after all. All she can see is someone sunning themselves outside, so she sets down near him, anyone who's hanging out and Tony's probably won't be too freaked out by a flying blond girl.

"Excuse me Sir, I'm looking for Doctor Banner? Do you know when he's going to arrive? I imagine he'll be pretty hard to miss."
Bruce Banner The scientist glances in the direction of the voice and sees the blonde girl approaching. She doesn't apread in any way threatening or hostile, so Bruce maintains his relaxed demeanor. He can't help but chuckle a little.

"Well, miss. He's certainly not hard to miss considering you're addressing him at the moment." The doctor stands from his seat and introduced himself as the girl approaches. "Doctor Bruce Banner. You must be Miss Rogers?" There's a slight questioning in his voice as if he's not sure, though her outfit certainly leads to that conclusion.
Sarah Rogers Sarah blinks a couple times, "Oh!" She extends a hand in greeting, "It's nice to meet you Doctor Banner. I.. thought you'd be taller. And yes, I'm Sarah Rogers." She smiles a little awkwardly before composing herself. "I'm hoping you can help me with a problem of mine, it's not urgent though. As I understand it it took twenty years for you to solve it the first time. Also. when I start explaining, things are going to get very... Multiverse."
Bruce Banner Reaching out and shaking the girl's hand, Bruce has a bit of a confused look on his face. Not often does the scientist get thrown for a loop. This is one of those times. "Uhh, it's nice to finally meet you Sarah. You thought I'd be taller...or greener?" A slight chuckle.

"I've at least been around here long enough to understand nothing is a straight-forward as it seems. It's not like they taught us anything about giant space whales from across the galaxy in Physics 101. I'll certainly be happy to listen to your explaination of things, but you'll have to forgive any eyes glazing over until things sink in."
Sarah Rogers Sarah returns the chuckle, "Both actually." She smirks, "The version of you I met referred to himself as The Hulk, but didn't seem to mind anyone calling him Bruce." She pauses and finds a comfortable spot to sit down. "Alright.. where do I start?" She sighs, "I'll just stick to the important bits for now. The world I come from, and where my family still is, is so far away from anything else that we didn't have any stars in the sky. The brains on Njorun Station tell me that since I'm here, it's unified. It's just amazingly far away from anything else. The way I got here to begin with was using a magical artifact to open a dimensional portal, that was guided by a targeting system that you.. my version of you, built using 30th century technology." She pauses a gain and looks Bruce over, hoping he got all that. "My hope is that You and Tony, and anyone else we might be able to get help from, can recreate that, so we can be reunited."
Bruce Banner As Sarah tells her story, the doctor listens intently, trying to wrap his head around quite a number of her points. Though it might not be evident to her, a small glimmer of hope twinkles in the back of Bruce's mind....does this mean that someday, maybe, he will be able to co-exist with his other half? That thought in and of itself is mind blogging as it is. But there is so much more here. Starless sky? Dimensional portals?

"Well, there is certainly a lot to absorb here if I may say so. Though I've come to beleive nothing is truely impossible with the right mindframe and the right resources." Bruce scratches his chin a moment, and then leaves his thumb and forfinger grasping this chin at the jawline.

"I'm hoping you have some details or perhaps other information about this device. That might help us fill in the gaps. But... it sounds a lot like the same or similar technology to the Tesseract. A cross-dimensional or...trans-sapce type of device. Quite true your world has unionized if you're here now. But for there to be no stars?" Bruce jots some numbers down on the JARVIS pad. "I mean....the universe as *I* understood it was 13 billion light years across. So, assuming no visivble light, your world would have to be almost twice that."
Sarah Rogers Shifting uncomfortably, Sarah lets out a sharp breath. "I'm afraid I don't know much about the technological end of it. I can recreate the portal whenever I want, but it's only use is as a garbage disposal as I have no idea where the other end's going to come out." She nods as she continues to listen to the Doctor, "I've heard that 13 billion light years estimate before, but, it may not be that bad. Apparently this planet used to be next to a galaxy, which was destroyed in a display of power, and please don't make me go into any more detail about that unless I have to." She says nervously, "But the being who did it is dead now if that helps. Anyway, since I've gotten here I've become a huge astronomy buff. Because, stars.. totally amazing!" She grins. "I've figured out that it's possible it might only be 3 million or so light years away, and just not near any bright objects. There are plenty of stars in the sky that aren't visible to the naked eye, and no one back home ever saw a point to Astronomy."
Bruce Banner "Well, there are such things as what our astronomers refered to as rogue planets. They were just planets without a star or sun." Bruce gauges the girl a bit, as it seems that some of this may still be a bit of a trauma for her by his read. After all, he can remember what it was like just waking up after hulk bascially dumped him in this strange new place.

"If you have the technology, I'm sure we can get Tony to look at it as well. We've gathered some, though certainly not much, infomation from the Tesseract. Maybe we can leverage that information. Or, at least try and track out where this...garbage...might be ending up when it goes into the disposal...so to speak."

Bruce looks down at his skin, a light tinge of redness from the sun appearing. "Can I offer you anything to drink? Perhaps we can walk back up the the mansion and speak further or take a look at your devivce a bit. I've been in the sun a bit long today." Bruce smirks just a bit with his typical dry wit. "One can never be too careful with exposure to radiation."
Sarah Rogers "I don't have the tech, just the other thing." Sarah murmurs, looking down at the ground and letting her hair obscure her face for a moment. "But.. The planet itself is very unusual. It was created artificially out of pieces of dozens of other planets." She explains as she perks up a bit and looks Banner in the eyes again.

"We even had a piece of Denver Colorado which is where we made our home. There was a sun and moon too, scattered alien villages, all sorts of technology. Basically everything my parents needed for a perfect little war. Ah.. the point is, It should stand out if we can figure out where to look for it."
Bruce Banner "Ahhh, I see." Doctor Banner scratches his chin once more before gets up to grab his chair. "It sounds like your world has a unique enough signature to it. Perhaps we can do a gamma or xray trace and try to see if there's a trail. We'll certainly find the places to start, especially if we can get Tony's help. I'm sure we can."

Bruce gathers up his portable chair. "Why don't you come up the the mansion and take a load off. Once Tony is free, I'm quite sure we can dicuss some of the logistics. In the meantime, you can tell me how I, or well...the other me that's like me plus the other guy... figured all this out, or what...we...were like on your world." If you were to look into Bruce's eyes, you could swear you'd see gears actually turning in there somewhere, ttrying to aling, absorb, and make sense of all of this.
Sarah Rogers Sarah stands up and starts to follow Bruce inside. "That sounds promising." She beams, "And Tony's place is really nice.. Maybe Jarvis will let me spend the night again." She ponders, her eyes narrowing for just a moment. "Well, Most of my life the Hulk was basically a boogie man." She smirks a bit, "When you're raising kids with super powers you need extra scary stories to keep them in line." She says knowingly.

"But when he finally showed up, Completely different from the raging monster we were told about. Huge and green, but smarter than Professor Xavier. I got the impression that being off alone for so long helped him come to peace with himself." She chews on her lip for a moment, looking Bruce deep in the eyes. "Not to dangle a carrot or anything, but if we can figure this out. Maybe he could help you out with that?"
Bruce Banner As the two walk toward the mansion, Banner ponders the "carrot" that's presented. Could there actually be a time, even if in the distant furture, where he finally comes fully to peace with the monster within? To have and maintain control, while still being able to do good for mankind...or all creatures. It certainly seems, at least in this fleeting moment, to good to be true.

Finally, the two enter the main par tof the house where the living room is. The sun is still sniing in, giving the room a soft and inviting glow as the doctor places his chair off to a side to be stored later.

"Greetings Doctor Banner. How was your stay on the beach." JARVIS inquires.

"Never long enough, JARVIS. Never long enough." Bruce reaches over and grasps a data pad from the nearby coffee table. "Please, make yourself comfortable. We can try to hash out a few factors about what you know about your world and see what hypothisese we can come up with. Maybe Tony will be along and we can pick his brain a bit on the more techincal aspects of your arrival here." Bruce smiles warmly as he finds a comfortable chair to sit in.
Sarah Rogers     "Is everything alright? You look a little distant." Sarah notes worriedly, then goes to take a seat near the coffee table. "Alright, where do we start? This is still going to be like finding a needle in.. a massive infinite void." She sounds like she was trying to be humorous but it came out rather flat. "All I know for sure is there's a very lonely star outthere somewhere, presumably floating between galaxies."
Bruce Banner Bruce glances back at Sarah for a moment. "Maybe distant is a good word for it. I was just... considering what you'd said. Even the idea that I COULD come to peace with the Other Guy. It seems a bit distant and daunting to me. Thise certainly you've observed it. It at least gives me another glimmer of hope that my caurse can still be leveraged as a gift."

Bringing up the datapad, Bruce begins to take some notes, with his finger ocassionlly sliding over an inch or two into a corner of the pad to jot some numbers and mathy looking equations. "Everything in the universe...yours, ours, anyone's here for that matter, has a signature. A wavelength of radation or characteristic that makes it unique. The secret is determining that sigature, or at least, getting close enough to elimnate obvious areas. What else can you tell me about your world?"
Sarah Rogers     "I wish I could understand what you're going through." Sarah says apologetically, "At least we both have seemingly insurmountable problems we can work on together?" She adds hopefully.

"As I said before it was assembled from peices of dozens of other worlds, That in itself likely took a massive amount of energy that might have left something you could detect. PLus the fact that bits of different planets that has no business being near each other suddenly got crushed together. Two God-like beings died there. Again that's gotta leave an interesting fingerprint of some kind." She pauses to think for a moment, "There's also technology and life forms from all over the place there. We never succeeded in making contact with anyone off planet with any of it though."
Bruce Banner Sitting back for a moment, Bruce thinks about what Sarah has said, making a few more scribbles and jots as he does so. His fingers clutch and rub his chin for a moment, before his fingers leave his chin and points forward in an "ah-ha" kind of gesture.

"It's plausible that your world, being comprised or s many other wrolds and techonoglies, is giving off so much and so variant of an energy signature, that is almost...." his mind stops a moment as if to find the right word. "...cloaks itself from the rest of the worlds. Though it is unlikely, at least from my redumentary understanding, that it's claoking on purpose. It could just be the that energies involved to bring so many dissimilar parts together could be so immensely chaotic that they scatter radiation everywhere. That could certainly interfere with any radio or radiation based tech."

Bruce eyes the girl over his datapad. "Don't worry though. As you said, tough problems can be solved by working together." He gives a reassuring smile and nod.
Sarah Rogers     Sarah frowns a bit, "I was hoping that would make it stand out, not cloak itself." She sighs "It /better not/ be cloaking itself!" She almost pounds her fist on the table, fortunately she remembers she could snap it in half without even trying and catches herself in time. "It's already in the middle of nowhere, that's a hard enough problem to solve on it's own! Can't we just start scanning empty areas of the sky for something that's not supposed to be there?" She asks in frustration, already knowing it's not that easy.
Bruce Banner Seeing the dismay in Sarah's face, Bruce puts the datapad down a little more, looking at her more fully. "We will do whatever we can to find it, Sarah. I'm sure Steve would agree, as would the rest of the Avengers." Bruce says camly. "We just need to think rationally and maintain our cool...some of us more than others." His face dispalys a look of lightening the mood just a bit. After all, Tony has always said he should "own" the Hulk.

"And it's..." he ponders. "...it's not so much that it's cloaked. The fact that there are that many divergant and dissimilar radiation could certainly be a beacon. Even from what scientists on my world know about the universe, those energies should not be together."
Sarah Rogers     Sarah flops back into the couch, "I'm sorry. Somewhere in the back of my head I thought that talking this out might lead to a quick solution." She sighs, "It took the Bruce I knew three weeks to build the navigator. I assume it'll take at least that long to make whatever fancy detector we'll need and then we still have to get some idea of what direction to point it."

"Is there anything else I can tell you that would be helpfull or should we just relax and mooch off of Tony's mansion for now?" She grins.
Bruce Banner Bruce chuckles. "Well, mooching off of Tony is never really a bad thing." The good doctor then nods his agreement. "I'm sure we'll be able to figure things out. At the same time, we can't over-think things either." Bruce settles back into the chair a bit, comfortable with his position and his intent to relax a bit.
Sarah Rogers     "So... can I get you anything?" Sarah asks as she stands back up and wanders towards the kitchen. "The Bar here is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. all kinds of liquor I've never even heard of. And I think you have to spit to pronounce some of it correctly." She muses in a mischevous tone
Bruce Banner "Tea with lemon would be fine with me, thank you. I do drink the occassional alcohol, but I still need to be careful." He chuckles a bit more. "I'm sure the illustrious Mister Stark will be able to help you pronounce them. I imagine only someone influenced by some of them will be able to actually SAY them."
Pepper Potts     "That would be the Klingon spirits that people keep giving Tony." comes a voice, as a redhead stalks into the room. She looks like she's just arrived from work, a silver blouse and white skirt on, jacket over one arm and her lips pursed, giving a look to Bruce and then to Sarah, and she gives a warm, small smile. "Hello, Bruce. Good evening, Miss Rogers"
Sarah Rogers     Sarah was actually detouring from the kitchen towards the bar despite Bruce's request for tea. "Klingon huh? Where's that? Never heard of it. Nevermind.. I'll just find it. Oh, and good evening Ms. Potts!" The girl's actually thrilled that Pepper made an appearance. She's more elusive than Tony when he locks himself in the workshop and she's never had a proper conversation with her before. But, for the moment alcohol is more important!
Pepper Potts     "War-loving aliens with great senses of honor, weaponry, and poetry. Reminds me a little of an Asgardian, except.." Potts halts a moment. "... way less shampoo commercial." Seriously. How /does/ Thor keep his hair so pretty? Potts was curious. She paused a moment, and gave a look to Sarah. "Are you even old enough to drink?" she inquires, straightening up and assuming Professional Potts demeanor.
Sarah Rogers     Sarah freezes mid-stride and curses inwardly, "Does it matter?" She says as she turns to look sheepishly at Pepper. "We're in a private residence!" She points out, "And I have the liver of a super-soldier!" She says proudly, yet also defensively. "It takes a lot to get me drunk. I'm sure I'd barely even feel a little Klingon Booze!" She grins hopefully.
Pepper Potts     Potts crosses her arms. "You're in /my/ private residence in a state that has a strict drinking law, in a United States which requires age of majority to drink. And if you have the liver of a super-soldier and would barely even feel /that/, then what's the difference if you drink a soda over some alcohol?" she offers, and makes a face, "besides, Klingon bloodwine tastes awful. And someone gave us Gagh flavored."
Sarah Rogers     There's just something about Pepper's gaze that completely disarms Sarah. This must be how she keeps Tony in line. "Fine..." She replies with a disappointed sigh. "Your house, your rules." She adds apologetically as she glances at the floor and shuffles her feet. "I still could've gotten a nice buzz..." She murmurs. She doesn't bother to ask about the Gagh flavored Bloodwine, The description is enough to convince her that it likely really is awful. "I'll just make us some tea then."
Pepper Potts     Mother hen rules the roost with an IRON CLAW. WING. Whichever.

"Trust me, it's not all it's cracked up to be, superliver or no." Potts replies. "First it's 'oh, this is harmless' and next thing you're handcuffed to the stool of a schwarma restaurant swearing that it wasn't a teammate who did this to you and no one will give you a ratchet to unbolt the thing from the floor..." Potts replies, with the air of 'true story' about her statements. She gives an apologetic look to Bruce, and moves on to the kitchen. "What kind would you like?"
Sarah Rogers     "I swear you've spent more than one lifetime being a mother." There's both awe and respect in Sarah's voice. She's not even sure why she just dropped the argument right as it started. "Something calming would probably be best. Chamomile? But I'm happy to get it myself really! Then you can explain the story with the handcuffs and the ratchet." She says curiously.
Pepper Potts     Putts gives a small laugh. "Why is it that everyone assumes I'm /motherly/? Is it Tony?" she laughs, and sets up the kettle for tea. "CHamomile it is, for everyone." she calls out. "And I will totally let my fiance handle the story, if he feels like sharing it. I wouldn't have made it so far if I was one to share his stories."

And she turns the stovetop on, listening to the click of the light. "He tells them /so/ much better than me."
