Sanary Rondel      It's a normal day in the Medical Ward, with doctors and nurses going one way, patients and corpses being moved another way, and perhaps even some sitcom-like hijinx going on in random sections of the ward.

Sanary's actually in one of the beds rather than treating someone in a bed for once, snoring peacefully with her legs propped up by a couple of extra pillows. She's dressed in a hospital gown rather than her usual clothes or combat gear, and her arms are bandaged up heavily all the way up to her shoulders.

She's a very loud snorer. Some of the patients in in nearby rooms do not seem to approve, considering how awake they are.
Lute      Lute walks into the medical ward. Which, in itself, is actually a bit unusual. Most of the time it's him who gets terribly injured. Yet, last night, he managed to get out of the battle with essentially no injuries, aside some ringing ears due to yelling. Sure, his Pokemon, Mr. Crabs, and Imima all need to recover. But still, it's a nice change of pace to come out alright.

But, with how much drugs Sanary was on last night? He is a bit worried. He didn't want to bring the smoothies to her while she was so high, and so it's now that he finally is making his way in. He's holding a drink carrier with four different flavors of smoothies. After all, he doesn't know what Sanary likes. And he didn't think to just ask.

But, seeing that he arrives, and she's asleep? He doesn't want to wake her. He sets the smoothies down on a table for now, and just pulls up a seat next to Sanary's bed. He leans back in it, smiling. And he'll just observe her for a bit until she wakes up.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary's not usually a snorer, but recuperating from internal injuries can do that to a person sometimes. Luckily for Lute (and the patients in the nearby rooms), she's not snoring for that much longer. Stirring awake slowly, the bedridden healer rubs her eye slowly before rolling onto her side to get into a more comfortable sleeping position.

That, of course, is followed up by a pained grunt and a string of colorful curses. From the looks of it, her arms haven't healed up completely just yet, and she doesn't even seem to notice Lute in the room yet.

It's not until she swings herself back around to lie on her back and grumble in annoyance at the pain in her arms that she notices something... Off in the room. As if her cursing didn't echo quite right. Her Magitech eye gains that telltale sheen as she activates it, finally noticing Lute and staring at him for a long, awkward moment.

"... Uh. H-hey, Lute. How long have you been there?"
Lute      Lute smiles softly as Sanary starts to wake, get in pain, and swear. He remains fairly calm, and the snoring didn't seem to bug him too much. Partially due to his ears still recovering from all of the screaming yesterday. It sort of dulls the senses a bit.

"Don't worry, I haven't been here long. But you were snoring up a storm. And your arms... ....You doing okay? What happened? I haven't seen any reports yet, and you look... Really not well, at all."

He reaches over to the drink carrier, and holds it out to Sanary. Smiling.

"Not sure what you wanted, so got... Banana strawberry, orange, blackberry, and passion fruit."
Sanary Rondel      Blushing slightly at being caught unaware so easily, Sanary forces a neutral expression as she takes the orange smoothie gingerly. She's got enough strength in her arms to do that, at least, although she's definitely not going to be doing any heavy lifting today.

"Well. Uh. I went on a hunt over in Wyveria. A Lagombi and a... Barioth? Real tough fight." She takes a sip of the smoothie and lets out a content sigh before grinning lightly. "That's the stuff... Ah. I took 'em down, though. Without using the axe, even!"

She looks particularly proud of that last part, although she does conveniently forget to mention the eye lasers. "The Barioth kinda fucked my arms and everything else up pretty bad, though. But I did the job, and I'm not dead. Thanks for coming, Lute." She gestures at him to come closer and takes another sip of the smoothie, seeming content to keep her ass parked on the bed for now. "I'll try and do a report later once I'm not stuck in here. Aah... Glad to hear the bank job went alright. Got enough for that ranch yet?"
Lute      Lute sets the smoothies back down, smiling. He knows Sanary can have quite an appetite, so best to save them all for her. Besides, he can get out and grab food more easily than she can, right now.

"Well, any battle you get back alive from is a good battle. I really need to visit Wyveria sometime. I know that's where Serori's pet came from. Buuut... I know at least one of the locals doesn't like me and doesn't trust me. But hey, I'm used to that sort of reaction by now. ...But why not use your axe? Do you need to use special weapons to hunt these monsters?"

He looks at Sanary's arms. And, even though they're bandaged, he moves to rub at them a bit. Partially to comfort, and partially because he just wants to see /how/ badly she got injured. If it's /really/ bad... He'll probably try and find a way to get more powerful healers in here sooner. Hard to rush the healing process, but there is always /some/ extra help that could be offered...

"What's your interest in Wyveria, anyways?"

He then ponders the bank job. He moves a finger to rub the inside of one of his ears for a second, as he is reminded of the ringing in them. "The bank job went well, although chaotic. And I'm just about where I have enough money for the land itself. The actual structures is a different matter, though. I have some, but not sure I have enough to build everything I want. ...But might have to settle with what I can afford now. Or might just ask Confederates to help me build stuff."
Sanary Rondel      Sanary is quite pleased with the orange smoothie from the looks of it, raising the back of her bed enough so she can slouch back in it and keep sipping. "It's a really cool plac.e Lots of weird creatures around, Serori's pet is from there... Really powerful fighters, too. Even if they did start double-teaming me after a while."

Laughing for a moment, she immediately regrets that and bites back a wince. "Nah, nothing like that. I just wanted to practice using something other than the axe all the time, you know? To make sure I wasn't getting too comfortable with using it for everything."

There's another brief wince at the initial contact with her arms, but she does settle into it with a relaxed sigh after a moment. "Thanks... Ah. I.. Might have had to use the eye a bit, though. Since the Barioth wrecked my arms by the end. Great fight, though. Wyveria's... Well, first time I went there was just because Ysabel said the Guild provided free starting weapons. Figured... You know. Free stuff. And then we fought that Berserk Tetsucabra, so I got armor from that. Then there was the Daora, and now these things. Lots of... Stuff."

Her eye lights up after a moment. "You should tame one of those things for yourself. They might be able to help with the construction or... Hmm. Yeah, maybe getting Confederate help'll be easier." She strokes her chin briefly. "That MORDRED guy's got a big robot suit, so even that might help a lot if you don't want to pay an actual construction crew..."
Lute      Lute remains gentle as touching the wounded arm. At the least, it's not hurting too much. After a moment, he takes the hand off. A smile, "Well. Least you're not /too/ miserable. And least the arm stayed on. It really sucks when the arm gets cleanly removed. ...Worse if uncleanly removed though."

He nods as she explains why not the axe, "Well, variety is good. Plus, if we ever go exploring to find legendary weapons or something, there are generally more magical swords out there than axes, I think. Maybe we can at least get you a good ranged weapon down the line, too."

He thinks back to the Tetsucabra. That thing was... intense. He looks up at the ceiling, considering for a bit, "...I've thought of getting monsters from there. But, I have a feeling the locals will try to forcibly object. So while I plan to eventually check it out, I'll have to be careful. Plus, running out of space for more pets, until I get the actual ranch going. ...Though yeah, maybe I'll ask Mordred. Really, I should just ask around in general. Tons of guys around."

And, suddenly, he leans forward, to give Sanary a kiss on the lips. Because he likes surprising her. Okay, this'll eventually stop being surprising, but still, he throws in spontaneous kisses where people least expect it.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary laughs and winces again, rubbing her side lightly after the fact. "Yeah, that would be pretty bad. I've put a couple back on before, but it's.. Really draining. Never my own, either, so I don't even know if I'd be able to concentrate enough if that happened."

She chuckles lightly after that, nodding slowly at the talk of axes and monsters. "It is. I've got the bell and the gun part of the gunaxe, but something with more... Kick to it wouldn't hurt. Or even just adding more stuff to the eye." She hums for a moment, another grin crossing her face. "Maybe if you tamed one of those Tetsucabra things, you could command Pokemon from up there while I'm firing lasers down at everyone."

There's a pause, however, when Lute brings up the topic of locals objecting ."They might, but... Hmm. I mean, Serori got one. Maybe you could ask Ysabel for help with it or... Find out where Serori got hers from? Just don't confused Mordred with MORDRED. Saber was kinda serious about not calling Mordred a girl, so..."

There's a light squeak of surprise at the sudden kiss, the healer still managing to get caught off guard by it after so many others in the past. She holds it for a while before tilting her head to the side and creating a gap between them juuuust enough to slip that smoothie straw in. Even a kiss won't stop her from sipping frozen orange drink!
Lute      Lute pulls back, laughing. He can't help it. The whole 'drinking smoothie during the middle of a kiss' is just too much for him to take. It's not a hurtful or insulting laugh, though. It's really fond. When he calms down, he finally speaks a bit again, "Oh god, you're so adorable."

He smiles a bit, leaning back, "Well, Serori got it from Ysabel as an egg, if I remember right. I asked Ysabel for one, but she's the one who does not trust me at all. But, you know, maybe you could talk her into getting me an egg. If she likes you, you'd have a better chance of it."

He ponders the laser thing a bit... Yeah. That'd be cool. Just the two of them, tanking through things, blasting everything in the way. But, Sanary's desire to get stronger, her desire to be the best she can possibly be... It reminds him of something.

"...Have you made a choice about the Psycho Power yet, by the way?"
Sanary Rondel      It seemed like a good idea at first. Well, until Lute starts laughing with Sanary joining in afterwards. "Wh-what? The kiss was nice, and I figured the drink might.. YOu know. Make it better 'cause it tastes good." Still giggling at that, she shifts around on the bed before leaning over to rest her head on Lute's shoulder.

"So that's the case, eh...? Hrm. That might be tougher, then. I can try, but no promises. I've heard of some people trying to get loads of these eggs for jobs, though, so maybe I could do one of those and ask her if I can bring some back. Or... Maybe you could arrange one of those jobs through her to get the eggs that way?"

She blinks slowly at the last question, sitting up briefly to nod. "Oh. Right, yeah. I talked to Yari about it and she was really against it, so I called it off." She chuckles lightly and sets her head back down, sipping more of that orange smoothie. "Really made the decision a lot easier after that. Although... Mm. If she hadn't gotten so upset, maybe... I dunno. Do you think it'd actually work?"
Lute      Lute still chuckles a bit as Sanary gives her logic, "Well. I've just not had that happen before. I mean, I've shared hard candy with Harp through a kiss before, but this is a bit different."

A bit of a nod from Lute sa they talk about the eggs, "Well. I might be able to figure out taking a job and hijacking an egg during it. She's going to be keeping an eye on me, though. I'm pretty used to that, but it'll still make it harder for me to get away with stuff. But... We'll see. What's the worst that could happen just from asking?"

Lute shrugs a little bit in regards to the Psycho Power, "I've got no clue if it worked or not. ...I have to admit, if it were me? I'd probably go for it. But my track record for decision making isn't the best. Not like the option to learn it is /gone/ though. So if you change your mind, it could still be an option."

Lute scoots his chair forward a bit. As he gets close, he lays his head right on Sanary's lap. He smiles, looking up at her.
Sanary Rondel      "Reaally? Hmm. I should try that some time." Sanary chuckles to herself and doesn't elaborate any further, leaving the meaning as to what exactly she intends to try up in the air.

A low hum escapes the healer as she leans back to stroke Lute's hair lightly, resisting the urge to use his cheek as a cupholder. "Well, if we can get a job set up for you to actually take the eggs and pay the person that does it, you might not even need to hijack anything. It could be for... Research or something." She smiles easily, giving his forehead a light tap with two fingers. "I'll ask her next time."

Sanary twitches briefly as Lute mentions his track record, a grin tugging at the sides of her mouth while she holds in another laugh. She's already caused herself pain twice before, but she's actually managing to keep it in this time around.

"True, true... But if it's going to hurt her that much if I take it, it's... Probably not worth it, you know? Doing shady, dangerous shit is one thing, but hurting you or Yari is something else." She leans forward with a bit of a wince to kiss Lute on the lips this time, holding it for a few seconds before straightening back out with a pained groan and grasping her sides.

     "B... Bad idea."
Lute      Lute just keeps his head laying on Sanary's lap for a bit. He looks up at her, worried, as she is obviously in pain. A frown. "...Hey, don't do anything to hurt yourself too much. I really don't want you in pain. Just... lean back and relax, alright? i just want you to relax and feel good."

"As for the egg hunting... Yeah, I'll at least come along and keep an eye out for missions. I'll do my absolute best, and then earn the chance to get some eggs. ...But really, I have a /ton/ of monsters. I might need to make sure all the ones I have get settled in well first."

He considers a bit. He knows that Vega was mad at people convincing Sanary not to train her. But, mostly due to the insult to his honor. "...You might want to train with Vega a bit, even if you don't learn Psycho Power stuff. I'm sure he and his allies could at least have some tricks to teach you for battle. I'm trying to think of who all can train you... Also, you really need to train with Medusa sometime, too. She's a nurse, so can teach you medical stuff. But she's also a good fighter too, from what I hear."
Sanary Rondel      Sanary nods as she rests back in the bed, still rubbing her side lightly and chuckling. "Right. Remind me never to try fighting two giant bastards at once. Double-teaming assholes."

Settling back into the bed, she returns her hand to Lute's head and strokes his hair lightly while focusing her gaze on the opposite wall. "No rush. The monsters from Wyveria are... There's plenty of them around. Plenty of people doing jobs, too, so... We'll play it by ear. I'll make sure to put in the good word, at least."

She raises an eyebrow at Lute's training suggestion, humming softly as she lets her head stew on that for a little while before responding. "Yeah... I heard he's got some really crazy moves, so it'd be great if I could learn how to do... /Any/ of them. You still need to meet Mike, by the way." Grinning lightly, she nods at the last suggestion.

"Definitely gotta train with Medusa, too. Havne't heard much about her medical stuff aside from being really good at it, but yeah... You think I'll ever actually get to her level?"
Lute      Lute chuckles a bit, "Double teaming enemies can be hard. You have to learn how to fight them eventually, though. We can train for that, though. I can use multiple Pokemon at once, and you can learn how to fight them both. ...Though even that is different than just fighting two enemies at once. Because I'd be in the back, giving orders, seeing things they don't."

"...Yeah, I'll tag along on one of the missions. But I'd like you to come along too. It'd... be using you, a bit, but. You're really trusted. It'd be easier for me to get an in with you. Sorry."

A smile is on his face. He looks up at Sanary. "You /will/ get as good as Medusa. It's just a matter of time. And with everyone helping you? You're going to have a /really/ unique skillset, from everything you've learned. I mean, you're already learning to fight monsters, use magitech from Souji's world, and learning to fight from a bunch of people. It'll be an interesting style you develop."

Lute straightens up a bit. He starts to climb onto the bed, his legs on each side of Sanary. He's very careful not to hurt Sanary, as he puts his hands on the bed next to her. He smiles, looking down at her.

"Besides. You've already done a lot of amazing stuff. You will be accomplishing a /lot/."
Sanary Rondel      "Sounds like a plan. I'm still more used to fighting human-sized people than anything else, so the practice'll be good for a lot. Could even use the Field of Trials for safety or.. Hell, trying weirder scenarios." The gears seem to be turning Sanary's head as she mulls over that, although she doesn't linger on that idea for too long. She's still recovering, after all, and there's plenty of smoothies to drink!

"It's fine, don't worry about it. I mean, I suggested the idea in the first place, right? And worst case scenario, she just says no to the egg idea."

She smiles bashfully at the compliments, leaning forward for a moment before reconsidering and leaning back on the bed again to just pat Lute's face instead. "I hope so. It's definitely... /A/ style. Wouldn't hurt to have a lot more raw power and speed to really make it shine, but... I'll keep working on it.

Sanary raises an eyebrow slowly as Lute adjusts his own position on the bed, eventually smirking in response. "I got a lot of help from a lot of people, though. So... I shouldn't take all the credit. But I totally will."
Lute      Lute continues to look down at Sanary, smiling. As she thinks on the sort of practice to have, he's already getting his own ideas on how they should train, and scenarios to set up. "...Hm. Well. Once you're healed, let's have a practice duel sometime. I have some... ideas. I won't let you know my strategies ahead of time, though. You gotta learn to deal with all sorts of surprises."

He nods a little bit with the talk about the eggs, "Well, I'm sure it'll work out. It'll work!"

A grin from Lute. He shakes his head a little, "You need a bit more of an ego. You're working /really/ hard, and you're getting stronger. You will get much stronger, and you'll earn every bit of the strength."

With that, he leans forward, to give a deep kiss. He breaks off the kiss, leaning back, and smiling, "Hope my position isn't making you uncomfortable. Just want you to... not be bored in here." A sly smile.
Sanary Rondel      Sanary hums again at the idea of a practice duel, nodding in approval moments later. "Sounds good to me. I get to practice thinking on my feet, you get to work on dodging a lot. Although it'd probably be better if you had a shield or spear or something just to practice fighting up close, too."

She laughs at the recommendation to get an ego, followed up by the inevitable wince and more subdued chuckling. "Yeah... Yeah, I know. Just gotta keep at it and it'll happen sooner or later."

Returning the kiss, she reaches up to hold Lute's head in place for a little longer before letting him go, a mischievous grin crossing her face. "Not at all. Although you shoud probably get the door in case... You know. Don't know if there's a policy against that, actually..."
Lute      A grin on Lute's face, "Ehhh, I'm not going to worry about closing the door. It's not like we're up to anything bad in here, anyways."

He considers, though, smiling. "Well. I look forward to it. I look forward to the day where you surpass even me. I think... no. I /know/ it will happen, one day."
