Owner Pose
Sarah Rogers     Sarah's sitting on the edge of a fountain near the food court entrance. She's dressed in her usual green 'Crusader' outfit which honestly may be the only set of clothes she owns. Shame! She's tossing her shield casually into the air and catching it repeatedly while she waits for Septette to show up. Amazingly enough hardly anyone gives her a second glance in a place like this.
Septette Arcubielle      Even if she tried to blend in, it wouldn't be hard to see Septette coming: her brightly-glowing components and clanking footfalls are an easy giveaway. As it is, she's making even less of an effort to be subtle than usual: the lack of a cloak and the purple crocodile-leather purse aren't earning her any points for normalcy. "Most overqualified frisbee ever," she remarks drily as she comes to a stop a few feet away from Sarah. "I like it, though. ... Did you have any particular places in mind? I'm, um... not very familiar with places like this." By which she means she's never been in a mall before.
Valka      While they may not be giving Sarah a second glance, the woman slowly walking along one of the galleries toward the food court does get a few looks. Not her specifically - her leather armor is rather plain, all things considered - but the little dragon perched on her shoulder, it's head swiveling to and fro as it peers at all the passerby, does get a bit of attention. She's waling slowly, a pretzel held in one hand, a corn dog (half eaten) held in the other, looking with wonder at the everything surrounding them. From time to time she takes a bite of the pretzel and, when the dragon squeaks, it gets a bite of corn dog. Heading toward the food court....
Sarah Rogers     Sarah smiles warmly when she sees the murder-bot approach, they've met before after all and she's gotten over her appearance, "Hey! I'm glad you made it! I've only been here a couple times myself, and I doubt I've seen a quarter of the place. So don't worry, we'll figure it out together! They have *all* kinds of ships here. I think I even saw one offering 'synthskin replacement' whatever that is."

She stands up and removes her own cloak, offering it to Septette, "This won't cover everything, but maybe it'll help you feel a little less self-conscious?" she offers hopefully. "Oh Hey! Look over there!" She motions towards Valka, "That woman looks even more out of place than us!" She smirks
Septette Arcubielle      "Such a gentleman," Septette replies with a grin as she gently pushes the offered cloak away. "But I'm fine, really. It's not for my comfort so much as that of others, and the people here seem fairly jaded..." The little robot trails off as she glances over her shoulder with one eye, and turns around with her arms folded behind her back to nod respectfully towards Valka.

"The dragonlady arrives," she chirps cheerfully. "Valka, I presume? Septette Arcubielle. Is the cafeteria food any good?" That last question seems to be directed at the little dragon, rather than at Valka herself...
Valka      The display of hiking equipment just opposite the food court has seemed to entrance the woman in the leather armor who has slowed to a stop to peer at some completely unfashionable boots with laces and buckles. The little dragon, red with purple accents along his back, tail, and wings, seems more interested in the corn dog than anything else, gripping Valka's shoulder with tight little claws. He squeaks when Septette talks, hunkering down, tail wagging, even sending a little squirt of flame out to show just how big of a dragon he is and earning a playful thump on the chest from the red-haired woman.

"Enough of that, now. We don't want to set off those water spraying things. Again." Oh, there's a story there, for certain. Valka turns to look at the pair - first at the woman with the shield and then at the skeleton with the glowing heart who greeted her. "Ah...yes. Valka." She bobs her head with a smile, giving the little red dragon the rest of the corn dog, withdrawing the stick and tossing it into a nearby trash bin. "He doesn't talk much, but he seems to like it. They seem to cook everything in those giant vats of hot oil."
Sarah Rogers     Sarah puts her cloak back on then clicks her shield into place on her back, "Oh.. Hi!" She says to Valka, blushing a little. "Do you and Septette know each other? I didn't mean to point." She says apologetically. "I'm Sarah, it's nice to meet you!"

"Anyway, I recommend the fatty fried foods for *after* we've walked all over this place and gotten our shopping done, then we've earned it, kinda?" She grins
Septette Arcubielle      "We've spoken about her dragons on the radio before," Septette says, and smiles wider at the tiny draggie's adorable fire-breathing display. "It seemed like a safe assumption." Reaching into her rather gaudy purse, the robot pulls out an eclair wrapped in a paper napkin, and nibbles on the end of it. "Some of us don't have to worry about calories, you know," she jokes with an faux-evil glint in her eye. "Join the dark side, Sarah. The flesh is weak."

A moment later, she fails to hold back a surprisingly-girlish giggle, followed by a rather undignified snort. "Oh, gods, I could barely say that with a straight face. S-sorry."
Valka      "No....we've never met." Valka says with a smile. "I'm just...fairly active on the Union radio, and, as far as I know, I'm the only dragon lady about. We've talked about the dragons before, too, so...she did a little deduction and...voila..." She chuckles. "It's not like there are a plethora of dragon-ladies about, after all, so it was a reasonable assumption."

Transferring the pretzel to the other hand, the dragon on her left shoulder, Valka dusts her hand off and offers it, first to Sarah, and then to Septette, to shake. "Valka, Dragonmistress of Berk. A pleasure, ladies." The 'join the dark side' does get a bit of a widening of the eyes and a glance to Sarah before the giggle comes out, the red-haired woman visibly relaxing. "My diet is 'eat until I'm not hungry and work hard to ensure I keep my figure.' It's worked well so far."
Sarah Rogers     Sarah rolls her eyes at Septette, "That's not fair, you can eat all you want, you /need/ some meat on your bones!" Sarah says mischevously. How bad a joke was that?. She accepts Valka's hand and shakes it firmly, "A pleasure, Dragonmistress. I need to get myself a fancy title like that one of these days." She muses. "Alright, I know that uh, Victoria's Secret is in that direction. We don't want to go there, but in stands to reason that there might be some other women's clothing stores in the same direction. Our first priority is to find Septette a new cloak, then we can go nuts!"
Septette Arcubielle      The robot girl slices up her eclair neatly with her knifelike fingers, spearing each slice in turn before plopping it into her mouth. That's probably not how one is supposed to eat pastries, but she doesn't seem to care.... "Sarah, the closest I've ever come to having meat on my bones was when I wore animal skins. Besides, I weigh half a ton!"

"'Victoria's Secret' sounds like fun, though," she remarks obliviously. "What secret is it? Is it, like, a puzzle shop? A purveyor of tomes of forbidden knowledge?"
Valka      Valka shakes the offered hand and, respectfully, bows to Septette since shaking hands with knives aren't entirely a good thing, more often than not. The little dragon, still nomming the corn dog, maintains his balance fairly well, even through the balance. "I don't know, sadly. I came from over there, thataways." She waves a hand. "This place is massive....my entire village could fit into one of the wings with room to spare."
Sarah Rogers     "The short answer is it's just a name. I think it has some sexual connotations too, but I'd rather not get into that, we're going to pass it anyway and you can see for yourself!" Sarah explains.

She nods to Valka, "This place was a shock to me the first time too.. We had a mall where I'm from. It was tiny compared to this place, and since it had been ripped away from the city it belonged to, it was just used for resources, and by the time I got to see it, it wasn't much more than a history lesson."

Sarah starts to lead the other two woman down the hall she's familiar with, pointing out Victoria's Secret as the pass it so they're welcome to gawk if they like.
Septette Arcubielle      Once she actually catches a glimpse of the lingerie store, Septette makes a silent 'oh' and suddenly becomes very, very interested in the tile floor. "That's, ah. That's. Not what I'm looking for. No."

"We have all sorts of historical buildings where I'm from," she says by way of changing the topic. "They're mostly underground, though! Big skyscrapers and wondrous structures of glass and steel, hidden away in underground caverns like artificial gemstones... it's not hard to see why some people consider them holy places."

She's cut off from further rambling by the sight of a cloak in a store window, and practically jumps for joy. "Yesss! That one looks AMAZING! I'll, ah- catch up with you two later?"
Valka      Victoria's Secret gets a long, hard look - specifically some of the displays in the front. "Those breast coverings provide /no/ protection or modesty." Valka says with a shake of her head at the pink-festooned store front as they walk by. "And those...." She actually plucks at what appears to be a thong hanging from a clear plastic hanger, sending it swinging. "Is this supposed to be...what is this supposed to be, exactly? An eyepatch?" She shakes her head and continues down the hall where the sheer variety of....stuff....amazes her. The little dragon, his corn dog long finished, squeaks and watches the people, even reaching for a display when Valka gets too close.

"There's so much stuff....how can people use it all?" She sounds amazed.
Sarah Rogers     Sarah does her best not to laugh at rthe other girls' reactions. OKay maybe a little. "Nothing in there is about protection." She explains, staying steadfastly outside the store, "It's about exposing as much flesh as possible! I'm sure if we keep looking we can find much more practical shop." She sounds like she's urging Valka away. "And that's not an eyepatch." She waves at Septette happily as she dashes off. They'll find her later.
