    Castle of Fayt Ravus
    Magix

Fayt's home is odd to put things mildly. A large castle, set upside down and cliinging to the roof of a massive cavern, There's fortunatly a perfectly rightside up bridge leading to a rightside up front door. Or maybe they're simply upside down compared to the rest of the castle? either way, they're here.

The path to the castle is fairly long and winding, though fortunatly traveling it doesn't require navagating several stages of bullet spewing faries and spellcard wielding Youkai. In fact, the trip out here would be pretty uneventful.

Marisa might have heard the rumors about the place namely there's a mage living down here, and mages mean cool magic stuff.

More curiously however, is that while it's known someone NASTY used to live down here, he's also known to be long gone, apparently whoever is down here now is a lot calmer than the previous owner. How long he stays that way is likely up to Marisa.
Marisa Kirisame     Fortunately for Marisa, despite the tortuous nature of the cavern's layout, she can /fly./ The laserwitch humms a cheerful tune as she dodges left and right around pillars of subterranean stone. Her hakkero sheds a cone of light for several dozen meters in front of her, making the trip as easy and relaxing as a jaunt through the woods!

Except, of course, no fairies. This is mostly an improvement.

She'd heard about the massive inverted castle through the idle mumblings of one person or another. As every treasure hunter knows, inverted castles are ALWAYS better for loot than the normal ones. The question is just whether or not she'd be able to get to the treasure room.

She's not worried about getting out. That's what the Spark is for.

As for her entrance... Well, there's a front door, isn't there? So why not fly on up and give that a try, first?

Which she does! By immediately going for the handle, because honestly, how would she steal anything if she actually /knocked/ first?
Fayt Ravus     The door is, perhaps unsuprisingly, locked. Somone's definately home though, there's some lights on, eletric lights, which is a bit suprising, as you wouldn't expect this to be on any sort of power grid.

outside of that however, there's nothing at the door, in fact from the look of it the door doesn't see much use, whoever's here is either a totla hermet, or has some other way of getting in and out.
Marisa Kirisame Oh, well of course it's locked. She was expecting a lock. Now let's just break out the picks and--

Pfft, no.

Marisa just keeps right on humming that song as she extends a finger towards the point where the door should latch together. Light blossoms around her fingertip, and then lances out in a thin, but distinctly ~RAINBOW~ beam.

Provided she can cut right through the lock with Laser Magic, Marisa would proceed to float right through the doors. Treasure huntin' treasure huntin'~
Fayt Ravus     The door readily opens as the lock is cut through, and Marisa would find herself happily floating across the bridge, back towards the mouth of the cavern leaving the castle behi-no wait a sec that's not right.

Ok, that's a bit weird. It might take Marisa a moment or two to notice, but somehow she's been turned around and the door she was about to go through is now behind her. Worse yet she likely won't remember actually turning around, it just sort of... happened. There's nothing here that would cause this, nothing obvious anyway, Maybe it's just a crazy fluke?

Either that or something's very weird with this place.
Marisa Kirisame Well, that's odd. Marisa frowns as she suddenly finds herself moving back the way she came. Without even turning around! Something smells... fishy. Or Yukari-like. One of the two. Well, there's always the tried and true method!

But that means blowing an even bigger hole, and she'd rather not be noticed /just/ yet.

So instead Marisa applies Gensokyo Sense, which is like the opposite of common sense. She faces the bridge, humming happily, and proceeds to fly backwards through the doorway.
Fayt Ravus     This time, Marissa would fly right through the door, and then very likely bump into a wall. Which is kinda strange, you generally wouldn't expect the door to go right into a wall like that.

Marissa is... not at the castle entrence, the front door is in fact missing, she's certainly in a hallway somewhere though. It's mostly uninteresting, just a stone hallway someone ran some eletcric lights through with the occasional doorway or window for good measure.

It's perfectly normal, at least it doesn't LOOK like any sort of weird extradimensional shenanigans are going on. It's also quiet, the castle was big enough but there's no guards or monsters or anything in here. Though with the lights on clearly some's home, right?
Marisa Kirisame Aha! Progress! Despite being mildly disoriented, this isn't actually the first time Marisa Kirisame has had to deal with bizarre spacetime in strange supernatural castles. At least this one probably doesn't have a knife-happy maid skulking through the halls. Marisa briefly rests herself on the wall, and takes a moment to look from one end of the hallway to the next. First thing's first, she supposes...

Time to open ALL the doors! And peek into each and every one.
Fayt Ravus     looking through the doors yeilds some results. Empty, empty, outside - oh hey, that's where the front door went! Kitchen. Outside, apparnetly that door is now a third story window. Living room, with TV, it's showing the news now, HOW is anyone's guess. Empty, outside - there's that front door again, and finally a workshop.

Said workship has what appears to be some scrawny little guy with pale blue hair looking over what seems to be a tennis ball. Apparently someone DOES live here! Maybe it'd be a good idea to say 'hi'? Or maybe not, intruder and all that.

Also, it's pretty obvious none of that was in the same hallway. Clearly there's some sort of screwy misdrection thing going on here, but how it works is anyone's guess.
Marisa Kirisame Well! That certainly is... Disappointing. Where are all the treasure rooms? Where are the massive golems and the magical artifacts they're supposed to be defending? What about the demons and the monsters and all the awesome RELICS. Marisa was looking forward to all of that stuff! Instead there's just... A workshop.

Marisa does not make her disappointment known. She barely even says a word as she hovers silently into the room to try and get a look around without being noticed by its owner. Well, maybe she can find a book or something to take home.
Fayt Ravus     The inside of the workshop is odd. Tables set around hte room are littered in random junk, of note there's a table with two networked computers et on it. Wooden panels glowing with a soft white light hang on the walls, and there's an alarming lack of books, save for one notebook that's right next to Fayt.

Fayt fortunatly, doesn't notice the new arrival, as he's busy with that tennis ball. namely, there's a weird buzzing sound as he grabs hold of it and focuses for a few moments. This buzz is also met with the apperence of strange, multi-colored electricty dancing around his head. Odd.
Marisa Kirisame Well. There's only one thing to do here. Marisa Kirisame came for a book, and goddamnit she will leave with a book!

Slowly. Carefully. She sneaks up behind the mage at his workbench until she's /so close/ she has to hold her breath not to alert him.

She waits there for a moment, IS SHE DETECTED!?
Fayt Ravus     As Marisa sneaks up on the stairs-oh God damnit!

it's weird how that happens, there's no warning or anything, it just sort of... happens. Worse, if she has a radio, Fayt suddenly speaks up over it. "Who is this? You're not Union. probably not a fed? I don't advertise my home and I'm not the kind of guy they throw assassins at. Unaffiliated then? Who is this?" There's a pause then. "Also try not to move around too much, I CAN get you out of here but I need to get to where you are first." Suprisingly, he sounds far more confused than angry.
Marisa Kirisame /Goddamnit./ Well. This was basically a bust. Marisa mutters, rubbing at the side of her head. "Fucking portals," she says, growling, before whipping a small, octagonal box out of one of her pockets. "What kind of magic house doesn't even have any proper books?"

She glances up as the voice starts to play in her ear. She grunts, rolling her eyes, "Nah, I think I'll pass. I can just... Make my own way out, or something."

There's a distinctly prismatic glow building over her Hakkero. 'Make my own way out' may in fact be literal!
Fayt Ravus     Fayt's voice is calm. "Sounds like your charging something. Just a little heads up? The trap that has you randomly hopping about the castle? Never tested it on projecties and stuff. Whatever you're doing? It'd probably work, maybe? or the projectile or whatever your shooting would redirect adn well... hopefully it doesn't come back to you." There's a pause, then Fayt adds, somewhat embaressed sounding. "That's not actually a threat, I honestly have no idea what would happen."

His voice shifts back to normal, well.. maybe a bit harsher than that. "Seriously though, we're hanging from the Gods damned cealing, I doubt this place is THAT soild so please drop the badass routine and lower the high-yield ordinance before it buries us both under several hundred tons of rubble."
Marisa Kirisame "Eh, think of it as incentive," Marisa replies with a little bit of a shrug. "Faster you get me out of here, the less likely I'll be to try somethin' reckless," She flips the Hakkero like it were a coin. Is it going to be heads, or will it be tails!? "Don't worry, I've got tons of faith in you! Just, you know, hurry it up 'fore I start thinking about flying top speed until I get outta here. Or shooting the walls."
Fayt Ravus     Fayt's voice is still calm. "I have a good idea of where you are. Hold still." He conitunes to seapk over the radio. "Hmm... should of said eariler, if you're here about the previous owner? He's been dead since a long time before I moved in and the place was more or less picked clean already. just me here now."

after a few moments, Fayt can be seen walking down the hall towards Marisa, suprisingly, he doesn't seem all that angry, kindo f annoyed obviously, but not nearly as angry as one might expect. "I'm Fayt, Union Tra...der." there's a long, awkward pause, Fayt giving Marisa a perfeclty dumbfounded look, before very suddenlyy. "You don't work for Heaven or Hell do you?" As he says this, Fayt actually slowly lifts his hands up to rub at his temples. Apparently he saw Psyber's report "The one who nuked their library? That you?"
Marisa Kirisame "I didn't nuke their library," Marisa replies, cheerfully, as if she isn't lost in the middle of a bizarre space-time maze. "I ventilated it. That place was stuffy. Full of dust, bad for asthma, you know?"

It was none of these things. Probably.

"Really though, you should tell people that there isn't anything worth taking down here. Woulda saved me and you a lot of trouble." And it'd mean less false advertising.
Fayt Ravus     "Well, if you actually damaged anything I know who to bill now." Now he's sounding annoied. "Anyway I'm writing this off as a crazy misunderstanding."

There's a sigh before he speaks again. "The traps only activate for non-Union. I never expected anyone besides the occasional Union elite down here so..." he reluctently offers Marisa a hand. "Here, as long as you're being led by someone from the Union you shouldn't be randomly displaced around the castle."
Marisa Kirisame "Ain't my fault your defenses are weird," Marisa says with a grunt. She stares down at Fayt's hand like it was covered with spikes or... Something. "Buddy, we just met and you wanna move straight to holding hands? A bit forward, ain't you?" She zooms forward a little bit, scooting up on her broom, "Here, just hop on and tell me which way to go. That should work fine."
Fayt Ravus     "Eh? What are you even-nevermind, getting you out of her now, finding apsrin later." Fayt, uneasily, hops onto the broom as instructed, somehow looking even less happy about it than Marisa likely is. "It's either this or waiting about half an hour while I go edit the whitelist. Anyway, the exit's close enough." Fayt would give some directions and as it turns out the castle, aside frmo the whole 'it's kinda upside down' thing is perfectly normal when that weird misdirection trap is inactive.
Marisa Kirisame Marisa isn't so much unhappy about having another rider as she is disappointed that a potential treasure haul turned out not... to be one. "Yeah, yeah," she replies, kicking her flight into gear. They go skimming down the length of the hallways at a brisk enough pace, at least. "What are you even doing living in an underground castle, anyway? Jeez."
Fayt Ravus     "I needed a safe place to set up my workshop, someone in the Union knew of this place and led me too it." There's a pause as he gives more directions. "Again, outside of the occasional Union member needing me for something, I wasn't expecting anyone to show up here."
Marisa Kirisame     "The people outside're still talking about how there's treasure and stuff down here," Marisa replies with a disappointed sigh. "Man, and I was looking forward to a nice, big haul too. You got a huge house but barely anything in it, y'know?"
Fayt Ravus     "I didn't hear any rumors about treasure myself... oh wait, rumors, right, people adding stuff." A sigh. "As for how empty it is, it's only me in here, so most everything's set up in the inner parts of the castle. Treasure wouldn't matter in this case anyway, since robbing me means robbing one of your new boss' allies."

Eventually, the front door looms into view. "Here we go, The way out, I'll have to get the door fixed later."
Marisa Kirisame "Yeah, but if I did it right," Marisa replies, stopping OUTSIDE the door, "You wouldn't know it was me who took your stuff. Anyway, you should like, charge for rent or kidnap someone to be your librarian or something."
Fayt Ravus     As soon as Marisa is outside the door, Fayt quickly hops off the broom. "I'll think about it. Anyway, I get supplies for the Union and that includes Heaven or Hell, so if you need anything I'd perfer if you ordered it rather than robbing me."
Marisa Kirisame     "I didn't even know it wasn't an evil overlord living down here or something, sheesh." Marisa grumbles, adjusting her giant witch-hat ever so slightly. "Besides, it's not fun if I get everything legit."
