Howlback     You know that empty time of night in a city that never sleeps? That time of tnight when the streets are relatively clear, when the wailing of police sirens can be heard for miles around?

It's that time of night, and the local constabulary was hot on the chase. A ratrod was tearing up the streets, running through stoplights in the dead of night. Two police cars were chasing after her, calling to one another to try and anticipate movements.

But HOwlback was no regular machine. And she made a sharp turn, tires squealing and smoking as her rear end shifted into the turn, and sped up, heading towards a bridge.
Blurr     Ah, those unfortunate police officers. They thought they were just after some really road-savvy petty criminal who enjoyed joyriding a little too much, but they are in fact trying to chase down an alien machine whose technology far outmatched their own.

Which is why, when the Decepticon makes a sharp turn, they are unable to make such a quick move in their primitive vehicles. They try, all right, but they just end up fishtailing all over the place, swinging into a full 180 into each other and into the other cars parked in a lot nearby.

No, this is a job for someone who has the ability to actually present Howlback with a real challenge. Someone who can fight on her level. Given the Decepticon's swift and agile nature, the job of tracking her down has been delegated to someone of smiliar caliber--yes, Blurr, the fastest of the Autobots and in his world the fastest on Cybertron ever.

The speedster has been tuning in to the local authorities' communication frequencies, using them to determine where the target is headed before moving to intercept. Thus, a bright blue hover speeder that looks rather out of its time even compared to some of the current milieu's newest models, suddenly pulls out in front of Howlback from a narrower cross street. It's a few hundred meters ahead, giving her a little bit of time to try to switch course, though not very much. Certainly, the Decepticon can tell that whoever it is, it ain't the humans.
Howlback     Locked in, and out of when the speedster comes into view, the ratrod hits the brakes. Tires screech, smoke catches from burning rubber, and the rod turns back, going over a sidewalk and tries to shoot for an alleyway.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaah slaaaaag it! /HOW DID YOU FIND ME/?!" bellows a voice from the car, through speakers and over the networks, broadcast broadly. Howlback is not a happy Decepticon with this development.
Blurr     Blurr swerves quickly in response to the escape maneuver, also clipping the sidewalk but since he is a hovercraft it doesn't affect him as much. "Decepticon Howlback," another voice responds. "You are apparently wanted on your world for assault, battery, property damage, and attempted murder. So why don't you make this easy on yourself and turn yourself in so that no one has to get hurt." Heh...just like old times...for better or for worse.

"Also, why the frag would I tell you? So you can evade us next time? Pfft!" He's quickly coming up behind the Decepticon! It's starting to become quite clear that it won't be easy to simply outrun him, though it -might- be easier to outwit him.
Howlback     The faster they are, the easier they crash in Howlback's experience. She speeds up, taking the Autobot towards warehouses and construction. THe road becomes a bit bumpy -- she adjusts for it, and as she comes along a 'CAUTION! BUMP!" sign, she bounces, and then transforms, the ratrod being replaced with a smaller-than-usual Decepticon! She lands gracefully, catlike, and loose kibble about her head in the form of tubes and jointed metal clack noisily. She looks like some... Earth Punk.

No time to appreciate the view, the Decepticon roughouser grabs up the streetsigns, concrete footing and all, and lobs them at Blurr!

    "Leave me /alone/ Autobot! /ONLY WARNING/!"
Blurr     "Ugh." Blurr finds pieces of street signs and concrete being thrown at him, and he stands up out of vehicle form to jump and dodge through the barrage as best as he can. By Cybertronian standards, the speedster is very attractive. Well of course, he had to be, every celebrity has to be, which is something many culture have in common.

And surely enough, once he's completed the transformation, it becomes fairly obvious from the symbol on his chest that he is indeed an Autobot. "Sorry Howlback, but I can't leave you alone, you see it's my job to not leave you alone right now." Guns fold out of his arms, though he doesn't fire them just yet. "Now I'm going to give -you- one final warning. -Stand down-, or I'll shoot."
Howlback     Howlback's optics narrow a brief moment, backing slightly towards a set of train tracks that run through the site. And she draws her arms out, as if considering surrender.

"You're not putting me back in stasis. Not for what I did." she growls. And when she snaps to action, she's trying to flank Blurr, firing off the little plasma gun that she keeps onboard. "Dig yaself to a scrap pile, mate! I'm not going back!" she roars!
Blurr     Hah, Blurr knew this would happen. Decepticons never listen to reason. So he doesn't really fall for the arm thing. "Not my decision. Your world thinks you deserve jail. And from what I've seen of you, you sure as the afterspark deserve it."

As Howlback attempts to flank him, he sidesteps to prevent it, though the plasma weapon manages to score a shoulder.

"Oh so you'd rather risk getting killed? Hah, typical! Fine, have it your way." He opens fire without further hesitation, letting loose with a series of rapid blasts directed toward Howlback.
Howlback     "It'll take /far/ more than a pretty-bot like you to finish me off!" Howlback mocks, and she tries to close in, moving pretty quick on two legs.

She withdraws a long bar from a compartment in her leg, a giant, metallic bat, and she cries to come in and home-run smash Blurr in the back!

"I told you to leav eme alone! /I WARNED YOU/! THis is not my fault!" she snarls!
Blurr     "And why is it not your fault? It's not your fault that you tried to murder someone? Please, enlighten me." Blurr takes a sizeable hit from the mace, or whatever it ism causing him to stumble forward. However, instead of retaliating, he suddenly dashes off, disappearing behind a nearby building. Is he gone?
Howlback Oh, he's not gone. Howlback goes for cover herself, behind a large dump truck. She rattles out her arm, feeling the burn against her armor, and she grasps her bat tightly. Quick little bigger. And chatty. Ugh.

"I don't expect you lot to understand. You wouldn't understand. All /I/ want is to be left alone!" she states, and she takes a look at the construction, and brings her blaster up, aiming in on the support pillars for one of the floors. "And I am willing to go through any length to get it."
Blurr     "Sure, yeah you should be left in peace, you shouldn't have to be answer for trying to murder someone on top of all the other stuff you did. Because that's totally fair." Blurr replies wryly. "Not that you Decepticons really care about fairness to anyone but yourselves, anyway!"

With that he throws a "small" grenade at the truck she's hiding behind. Small by Cybertronian standards, of course. But by human standards, it ought to be large enough to ignite the fuel tank and cause the entire thing to explode into flames. Well let's just hope these people have good insurance.
Howlback "OH SURE. Lump me in with a buncha THEM why don't you, no getting to know me, no 'hello Howlback, how is the weather, do you miss your homeworld' just /get back in the pod Foul Decepticon/! Slag you, /and/ the cyberequine you rode in on, Autobo--"

She was about to fire when she heard the sound of the grenade metallically tapping against the ground. A precious few seconds to get out of the way of the heavy truck, and she takes it, rushing to the steel-and-plywood construction tower as the truck explodes, shooting scrap and pieces of shrapnel everywhere.

Violation of protocol 1121-234 subsection a -- destruction of civillian property. Blurr was really, /really/ intent on getting her.

"If he keeps this up, there's going to be fleshies involved..." she mutters to herself.

"HEY!" she roars "TRY TO KEEP IT DOWN TO A DULL ROAR!"
Blurr     What is she so worried about? There were no fleshies in that truck, Blurr already scanned it. Shrapnel flies, a few windows broken, but it's not close enough to any inhabited buildings to really cause too much damage to anyone. Still, if Howlback knew more about the Autobots of the universe he's from, she'd probably have a -lot- more to say on that. Suffice to it say, their methods tend to be a bit more...unrestrained.

While the Decepticon is able to move out of the blast radius relatively quickly, the area temporarily fills with smoke, obscuring her view of Blurr as he darts out from cover and attempts to get close enough in all the confusion to hit her with his electro-laser, a stun weapon intended to cause temporary paralysis. "Hey, I'm not the one roaring!" he quips back.
Howlback     Well, he'd find out. Their voices echo against the buildings and warehosues, and as he approaches her, she gives a low growl into the smoke, and a loud "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" as the electro-laser strikes!

She's paralized! Her right leg crumple s beneath her, her left arm droppig the little blaster and her right manically clinging to the bat. She reaches over, holding her arm a moment as she examines the damage.... and finding it temporary, pushes herself back and away from the Autobot.

"I don't recognize you." she growls. "At least give me your designation."
Blurr     Blurr arches an optic ridge at her. Huh, she recovered from that pretty quickly. Quicker than he'd seen anyone else do it, anyway. "And you're interested, why?" He asks, weapons still leveled at her. "I'm surprised you expected pleasantries, is that normal on your version of Cybertron? Do Autobots typically make small talk before they attack or something?"
Howlback     "Typically they don't attack out of the blue when I've done /nothing/ wrong." Howlback replied. Oh, no, she's still paralized -- just the extent wasn't total. Her right side is still limp as a noodle, electricity crackling. It must be taking all of her effort to move. "I didn't attack you until your pursued. I haven't hurt anyone since coming to this /miserable/ little mudball of a planet, but it doesn't matter, does it? You lot would attack an asteroid if it said 'DECEPTICON' on it -- assuming you can /read/."
Blurr     "Well 'they' told me to come after you, so maybe you're a little deluded?" Blurr shrugs. "I dunno." He notes that she is still struggling, even if she isn't completely paralyzed. Lowering his weapons finally he takes out a pair of stasis cuffs and starts to unlatch them, preparing to use them on Howlback. "You're right, we would attack an asteroid if it had Decepticon written all over it because we're like -at war- with you. Oh, and the war they started pretty much destroyed the planet, on top of that one." Yeah, of -course- that was -all- the Decepticons' fault!
Howlback     "The war is over where I'm from. And yeah, the Decepticons lost, I understand that, I get the concept... and I understand. You're just doing your job, same as I was. But I told you," she could process movement to her limbs again. And as Blurr approaches, a blast shield lowers over most of Howlback's face. Her eyes light up, and she plants her right foot back as she charges a sonic burst to give her a few, sweet moments to get away.

"I'm not going back to the Alchemor operational."

And the young Decepticon fires off a sonic blast, and turns tail to run!
Blurr     The sonic burst sends Blurr stumbling backward a few steps. With his own abilities, he could very well have pursued her. But something about what she said keeps him from making chase this time. Instead, he just watches her take off, stasis cuffs still in hand. "Huh."
Howlback     She spins wheels fast enough, leaping and transforming into her ratrod form, that it creates smoke on her way out, kicking up debris and detrius. The Decepticon gets away... this time.
