Lloyd Irving     The magic stone for which the island of Phase Rock is named is a place under hot contention, most of the time. The power contained within the stones there is alluring, to those that can control and harness it. Which is the major reason Lloyd Irving is here. The UEF Colonel swoops in like a bird of prey, dressed in his normal travelling attire with a few key differences. First and foremost is the lack of his jacket. Destroyed in his last engagement, Lloyd has retired the garment for good, and stands instead in a simple black t-shirt. The second is the lack of his sheathes, meaning that the Eternal Sword has been left behind. Instead, across his back are two of his customized gunswords. One glows red along its blade and is black otherwise, taking the shape of a simple single-edge broadsword with a revolver assembly. The other is a bit more complex, with gold coloring its edge and silver besides. It seems like a wider katana style blade, and seems to incorporate a clip system.

As he lands, he draws the black revolver blade and aims it skyward, firing a loud fire shot into the sky. "Confederate forces, take your leave! I do not want unnecessary casulties!" After this, he draws the second blade and holds each weapon at his sides, waiting for Sarracenia to arrive. His longer brown-red hair blows in the breeze, and he seems to have gotten out of his beard phase, his face cleanly shaven. His wings, blue-purple angel constructs with red tips, flap idly in anticipation.
Sarracenia      Even as Lloyd is flying in, a large airship is moving toward Phase Rock as well. It looks like a Spanish galleon, made completely of wood and some 60 feet long. But, rather than sails, there are large spinning propellers on the masts keeping the ship aloft. Standing on the bow of the ship is the princess, Sarracenia. She looks almost like she belongs there, her hammer balanced on its head with the handle pointing up for her to lean against.

The ship flies slowly toward Lloyd, and as it passes overhead, Sarracenia leaps off the bow. She spirals through the air, then brings her hammer down again and aims it at Lloyd before she stands on the head, riding her hammer down toward the ground, her dress somehow managing to stay down even as it flutters in the wind. It will be pretty easy to avoid the 'attack'. But, when she lands, the hammer creates a crater several feet wide and Sarracenia herself is shrouded in a wave of dust. As it settles, she twirls around the handle of her giant hammer, then smirks. "Well, you look strong. Perhaps you are worthy of a princess like me."
Lute      Lute heard Sarracenia was heading out to battle. His mind wandered back to a talk the other day. She felt disconnected to the war. He assumes she felt like she was in a rut. But, this could be it. This could be the thing to help push her forward, and help get her mood up.

Lute teleports into Phase Rock, his Gardevoir next to him. He's dressed rather normally. Black jeans, labcoat, no shirt. His current standard outfit. He quickly recalls his Gardevoir into a Pokeball. Normally, he'd offer to help. But, it's best sometimes if things like this are handled solo, and he's kept in shape for the next mission. AT the least, he can provide motivational support!

Which he does by holding up a large flag on a pole, waving it around back and forth. Upon the pole is a chibified image of Sarracenia. He waves the flag around, ranting and cheering loudly, "GOOOO SARRACENIA!"

But he pauses for just a moment as the 'worthy of a princess' line sinks in. Soon after he starts waving again.
Lloyd Irving     Lloyd glances upward, watching the airship circle and then the princess jumping down. He leaps back, bringing one arm to cover his face as she craters the earth. He flicks his arm outward, sending out a pulse of fire in front of him to clear the dust. Her proclamation is met with a smirk from the Colonel, resting his silver blade on his shoulder. "Certainly not lacking in confidence are you?" he asks, popping his neck. "And I guess it goes to show how much I am inactive, but I don't immediately recognize you. Name's Lloyd Irving, by the way." He draws his blade from his shoulder, then sinks into an offensive stance. "I hope you don't mind if I..." As Lute shows up, he glances toward the researcher, then shakes his head. "Looks like you have a fan. Anyway, I hope you don't mind if I get things started right away."

He points above Sarracenia with the silver blade, finger resting on the trigger as he does. "I need to show that I still have what it takes to fight, you see. So... Judgement Ray!" The blade clicks, before a roaring sound is heard and a beam of Light magic rockets from the point. It arcs over the Princess' head, stopping as it reaches a point directly above her. After a moment, it rockets straight downward to slam into the crown of her head. Lloyd immediately switches into a defensive stance once the spell is fired, eyeing Sarracenia's hammer with a worried look.
Sarracenia      Princess Sarracenia giggles coyly as Lloyd mentions her confidence. "Of course I have confidence. I am a lovely princess, heir to an entire kingdom." she replies before blinking at Lloyd's other comments. She looks over toward Lute, then smiles and offers a cute little fingerwave. Distracted as she is, and in the middle of a crater, she hardly realizes she is being attacked until she hears that roar.

Sarracenia blinks in surprise and turns back toward Lloyd, then again as that beam rockets toward her. As it moves over her head, she giggles. "Hah! You mi-", her words are cut off by a surprised yelp as that beam hits her right in the top of the head where her crown rests. Her body compresses from the hit, and her crown bounces off her head before she huffs. "Light is not supposed to do that!"

She quickly picks up her crown and places it back on her head, then hefts her hammer in one hand and twirls it as easily as a baton before resting it on her shoulder. "I am Princess Sarracenia Sundew, crown princess of the Sundew Kingdom! And if I have a bald spot after this I will send you so many bombs in the mail!" She then reaches into her purse and pulls out...what appears to be a bomb! An archaic one that is a black orb with a burning fuse. She giggles and grins, then throws it at Lloyd. "Catch!"
Lloyd Irving     Lloyd chuckles, falling back ever so slightly. "There's a fine line between confidence and conceit, Princess. I think you may have just crossed it," he notes, before he narrows his eyes. What sort of counter should be expect? A hammer strike was the most obvious, but he knew from years of fighting Elites that the obvious is rarely the answer. He smirks as she starts to announce that he missed, only to be caught directly by the Ray. "Light can do many things," he says, "Especially in the hands of a Seraph. But you'll find out soon enough!" He hears the crown clatter to the ground, then watches her carefully.

The fact that she can wield her hammer so easily reminds him of Presea. Would they have similar combat styles, then? "Sarracenia Sundew, huh? Nice name. Kind of long, though, but hey. Royalty always has long names, right? " He narrows his eyes again, watching her reach into... her purse? That was an odd thing to do in combat.

    Bomb. Well... shi--

As the explosion rocks through the area, Lloyd is sent spinning away, his shirt ripped and his skin darkened with soot and burn damage. He reclaims his feet quickly, coughing slightly as he shakes his head. "A bomb? Fine, alright. I just have to be ready for anything then!" He races forward, drawing his black gunsword back in a thrusting motion. However, he stops well short of Sarracenia, thrusting at the air.

And from the blade rockets a large beam of fire, the heat roiling the air around it as it scorches the ground beneath it. "Try this!" he says, before he takes to the air. "I'm not without a few tricks of my own!"
Lute      Lute continues to furiously wave the flag. His eyes remain locked on the battle. He continues to chant Sarracenia's name, loud and clear, so that anyone might hear it.

"SARRACENIA! SARRACENIA! GO! GO! KICK HIS ASS! HE ISN'T AS HANDSOME AS HE THINKS HE IS! GO! GO! I BET HE ISN'T EVEN HEROIC! He's beating up a /princess/ after all!"

     ...Lute obviously has some issues.
Sarracenia      Sarracenia laughs as her bomb explodes right on Lloyd. "You thought I would use my hammer, didn't you!" Sarracenia says proudly. Only to be caught up in that stream of fire.

The princess cries out as she is engulfed, the fire burning away at her dress and her hair. She dives out as soon as she can, then rolls to put out the fires burning at her. She has as many scorch marks and soot marks as Lloyd when she stands again. "Why does everyone fight with fire! It completely ruins clothing!" she says, patting at her dress in a few places.

When she is certain she is not burning anymore, she sets her hammer against her shoulder again, then hmphs. "This is a battle, Lute! It is not unheroic to face someone in combat!" she says before she charges at Lloyd. "Here I come!" she exclaims before she leaps into the air and goes into a spin. She uses the motion to bring her hammer in toward Lloyd in a powerful baseball swing. If it connects, Lloyd would feel just how heavy the hammer is. It feels like it weighs as much as most cars, and getting hit with it is just as bad.
Lloyd Irving     Lloyd chuckles, then nods in affirmation. "That was my expectation, yes, but clearly you have more at your disposal than I thought. No matter, though. The only way to adapt..." he says, "... is to fight." As Sarracenia takes the Fire Beam, Lloyd watches, attempting to note any odd moves or anything that might give him a clue as to her next move. She turns to berate Lute, and that brings a bit more of a smirk to his face. "Glad you have that mindset, Princess. Maybe I misjudged you."

And then she's spinning at him. HERE comes the hammer strike. Lloyd crosses his blades, then shouts as the blow comes in.

    "GUARDIAN!"

A bright green barrier appears around him, before shattering under the sheer force of the strike. However, Guardian does its job and keeps the damage minimal as Lloyd is smacked by the heavy hammer. He's sent spinning through the air, but aside from a bruising chest and shoulder which he rolls with a wince, he seems only a little worse for the wear. "Damn... You wield that with such ease I thought the weight had to be less. Incredible!" He beams, then rushes in. If the Princess was going close quarters, then he could match her.

Both blades arc upward to slash her from below, then come back down for another strike.

    "Tiger Blade!"
Lute      Lute is of course totally annoyed that Sarracenia feels Lloyd is heroic, and this has nothing at all to do with any jealousy he may or may not have. He waves the flag more furiously, trying to think of chants to insult Lloyd less, support Sarracenia more. If he /is/ her taste, he doesn't want to insult her taste...

"AHHH! GO SARRACENIA! PRINCESSES ROCK! YOU'RE MUCH BETTER THAN PEACH! Your hammer is a righteous fury!"
Sarracenia      Sarracenia grunts as she hits that barrier, then grins as she breaks through and sends Lloyd flying. She giggles as he compliments her fighting style. "I am full of surprises!" she says happily.

Then, the slashes come in. One good thing about a big weapon is it works almost as well for defense as for attack. Sarracenia uses the handle of her hammer to parry the blows, but she can't stop them all and yelps as one of the blades cuts into her shoulder. She twirls again, using the full force of the hammer to swing low, bring herself around again, then swing high. She uses the hammer almost as if she were dancing, the movements flowing into each other smoothly, using the weight of the hammer to her advantage.
Lloyd Irving     Lloyd is primed and ready to respond to Sarracenia's next attack, but something Lute says catches him by surprise. A familiar name. "Wait, what do you have to do with Peach?" he asks, blinking.

And then she smacks him with the hammer. Twice. His body rolls with the strikes, though they ring through his body and cause his vision to blur from the impacts. He falls to the ground, then shakes his head. "Never mind. No time for that right now." He closes his eyes, and a red magic circle appears beneath him. "Instead... burn! FLAME LANCE!"

There's a sparkle in the sky, before a giant lance made completely of fire begins rocketing down from on high. Lloyd leaps back, watching the construct split the sky and hurtle toward the Princess.
Sarracenia      Sarracenia giggles as Lute calls out that cheer, and again as Lloyd is sent rolling away again. When Lloyd asks about Peach though, Sarracenia hmphs. "I have nothing to do with Peach! I am much better than her in every way, not to mention I am not so easy to kidnap! I am sure that is why she was targeted so often. She was simply an easier target than me! Otherwise, I am certain I would have been kidnapped by now and found my hero!"

She looks pretty upset by the mention of Peach. But, not so upset that she doesn't notice a giant flaming lance flying down toward her. She blinks, then shrieks rather girlishly as she tries to leap out of the way. It is only mildly successful. The lance catches her in the legs as she leaps, tearing her dress apart and leaving her standing in more of a skirt that shows off her legs. Which would usually be good, except now they are charred thanks to that lance.

Sarracenia winces as she lands, gritting her teeth against the pain. She reaches into her purse again, not wanting to move for the moment, and pulls out...a bob-omb! The cute little black bomb creature with sneaker-like feet and a turnkey on its back. She turns the key a few times, then grins. "I hope you like cute! This little guy is practically exploding with it!" she says before throwing it at Lloyd. Despite the turnkey, it explodes on impact.
Lute      Lute contributes, yelling over to Lloyd, "Peach is kind of her rival! But, Peach is nowhere near as cute as her! Besides, I hear all Peach has flirting with her are plumbers! Stupid shit like that. Sarracenia is /so/ much more deserving of attention!"

Lute is almost certainly not helping.
Lloyd Irving     Lloyd narrows his eyes, setting his body into a stony defensive position. However, at Sarracenia's last line in her speech, his eyes soften and his body seems to sag. "That's gotta be some sort of joke, right? You WANT to get kidnapped to find a hero? That's... That's..." Not that unlikely, honestly. That's how he ended up with Peach for a short time, after all. "That makes sense, I guess, but still... that shouldn't be your ambition! If you want a hero, go find one. Though, you're strong enough that I don't know why you need one, honestly."

He brushes his hair from his eyes, then resumes his guard stance. Too late, though. There's another explosion, and this one blasts him away again. He slams straight into the main crystal of the island, his vision going dark as he slides down it. However, byy the time he touches the bottom, his vision is cleared. His shirt, however, is gone, lost in the blast, showing his athletic torso scarred and burned by the attack. He doesn't seem to notice or care, though. Instead, he straightens up.

"I was Peach's hero, once upon a time," he states, as a white magic circle appears beneath him, "It's not enough to hold people together, though. So... if that's what you're after, I'd advise against it." His eyes snap to Lute, then back to Sarracenia. He then moves a hand to tap at his heart. "Follow this instead, princess," he adds, before...

    "JUDGEMENT!"

Beams of light begin to rain down across the battlefield, striking at random though seeming to concentrate around Sarracenia.
Sarracenia      Sarracenia seems surprised when Lloyd actually seems to...understand. Then, he goes and gives the same advice as everyone else who has heard her ambition, and the same sentiment that she doesn't even need one. If she doesn't find a hero, and doesn't need one...how will she find the one who could care for her and guard her heart and do all the romantic things she likes?

The princess is even more surprised when Lloyd says he actually dated Peach, and that even though he was her hero it didn't work. This seems to hit Sarracenia harder than the attacks she has been weathering. She steps back. "W-what? You...you did?" Then, she realizes, it didn't work -twice-! Because she knows that Mario was the first Hero to rescue Peach, and if Lloyd dated Peach, then it didn't work between Peach and Mario either!

Sarracenia is so caught up in her thoughts and the threat of depression that it brings on that she almost doesn't respond to the attack. Especially after Lloyd suggests following her heart, which just jumbles things up all the more.

A few beams of light hit her, waking her from her thoughts and sending her running, her skin and dress smoldering. But, she isn't about to just be beaten! She runs toward Lloyd, hoping a few stray beams might hit him. But, that isn't her main goal. She leaps, then goes into a spin again and lands with her hammer outstretched. And, her spin just keeps speeding up as she dances rapidly toward Lloyd, hammer becoming a blurr as she nears. If she gets in range, Lloyd will be in danger of a severe pummelling by the hammer. And even if deflected, she would bounce back and spin her way toward him again like a top.
Lute      Lute reaches into a pocket of his labcoat. He pulls out a shirt. God only knows why he has it. He tosses it to Lloyd, annoyed.

     "WEAR A SHIRT, YOU JERK!"

Lute, for reference, is only wearing a labcoat and no shirt. Also, the shirt reads 'I'm With Stupid'.

He smiles, looking towards Sarracenia. "...Look, don't let his words confuse you! What does he know? He's just trying to ruin your dream, isn't he? Yeah, you might not need a hero. But, if it's what you want, what's wrong with seeking it? I mean... You haven't found him yet. But you will." There is a bit of a sinking feeling in his heart as he says this.
Lloyd Irving     Lloyd brings his blades to bear, noting that he seems to have gotten under Sarracenia's skin. Which wasn't his intention in the slightest. He only meant to give the young Princess some insight on his experience with things. "I did. And yet, here I am. Alone. So, I learned that there's no way outside of a true and lasting connection to make something work." He shakes his head as the Princess rushes him, spinning like a top. He needed to keep his head in the game. But now his own thoughts are racing. There were people he felt strongly toward, it was true, but the feelings were thus far unanswered.

What isn't unanswered, though, is his Judgement, as he takes a hammer to the everything. There's no bracing there, just a solid impact. There's a sharp crack of bone as ribs are crushed under the strike, and he slams back into the crystal of the island again. He drops to the ground, remaining there for a moment before growling in pain and standing to his feet. He coughs, blood flying from his lips, but grips his swords tightly. "I would do you a favor and deal with that," he says, glaring at Lute, "but it's not my place. I would advise you don't listen to him too much, but it's your call. I'm an enemy, and he's an ally after all."

He offers Sarracenia a small smile. "Though, if you do insist on seeking a hero, I won't stop you. You have to do what you feel is right. Maybe that is what you need. I just wanted you to have perspective from... from a hero, though I loathe to call myself that." He straightens up, then rushes forward on his wings, pointing both blades toward the Princess and pulling the triggers. "Explosive Ray!" he cries.

A ball of fire arcs toward Sarracenia, before moving to instead hover above her. After a moment, red lasers begin to pour from the orb, exploding on contact with the ground. Or the princess, if Lloyd is lucky.
Sarracenia      The princess is unsure now. But...Lloyd doesn't seem fake. Why would he be trying to ruin her dream? On the other hand, by his own admission, he is an enemy. On the other other hand, he admitted it, which kinda adds credibility to his argument. And then, Lloyd speaks out against Lute. Sarracenia looks toward Lute, then back toward Lloyd.

"What...I feel is right..." the princess says softly to herself, a hand moving to rest over her head as she looks down introspectively. Not exactly a good idea during a battle. Of course, Lloyd can probably tell by her style and her lack of discipline that she has no formal combat training. So, it is no surprise when those beams of explosive energy engulf her, tossing the princess around like a pinball in a machine.

When the rays finally stop, Sarracenia falls to the ground, flat on her face. She is still moving, but she is obviously not used to being injured so badly. When she rises back to her knees, she has tears in her eyes from both the turmoil inside her and the pain from the attack. Her skin is bruised and burned in many places, and her dress is in tatters. "How...how do I know you are a hero? All I know is what you have said? How can I take your word for it? I do not even know your name." she pants, voice cracking a bit from holding back tears.

She gets back to her feet, then starts digging in her purse again. Then...she starts pulling things out and throwing them, one after another. A bob-omb, a sticky grenade, a missile, a Bullet Bill, and even a large spikey iron ball. With each throw, something else deadly and either explosive or stabby, sails through the air. "How do I know you are not simply trying to torture me?!" She doesn't sound like she actually thinks he is. She is just venting her anger and frustration.
Lute      Lute just stands silent for now. Sarracenia is mad. And, if there is one thing he has realized? Don't piss her off while mad. He quiets a little, still holding the flag up. What can he say to encourage her? She's dealing with some subjects he /knows/ she is bad with. A slight pause.

"Hey, this guy /is/ a bit of a hero I think? He's a higher up for the Union and has quite a record for heroics. ...But I still don't think he is right for you. ...Your choice, though!"

This will probably only confuse things more.
Lloyd Irving     Lloyd crosses his arms, letting his blades rest a bit. As Sarracenia is put through the explosive spin cycle, he watches her with a curious eye. When she finally recovers her feet, he recoils visibly. She was crying? He relaxes ever so slightly, his gaze softening even as his body is visibly beaten. Then she speaks, and he hangs his head. "I... I don't claim to be a hero, Princess," he says, "I do what I feel is right. I jump in to protect the innocent, or those who can't defend themselves. I put my life on the line for my ideals. I do what I have to do for what I believe is right. Does that make me a hero? Some claim I am. Me? I've done terrible things. I ended a universe. But I've saved two worlds. I've saved people, often at the cost of my own health. Heroism is in the eye of the beholder." He shakes his head. "I told you my name. I am Lloyd Irving. I am... just a man, saddled with the title of Hero while not feeling like I've earned it."

He closes his eyes. Proving to be a mistake, as he is immediately pelted with everything Sarracenia can throw at him. Explosions rock him and blades pierce, his scream of anguish lost under the torrent of sound. When the smoke clears, Lloyd stands bleeding, blades sticking from his body and smoke trailing off his skin. It's clear he's suffering, but his eyes seem to shine as he turns them on Sarracenia. "How careless of me, to speak about such matters on the battlefield. I guess I've earned my trip to the hospital today." He smirks, coughing up a bit of blood as he does. He raises his blades, then rushes toward Sarracenia again. "I know you have a lot on your mind now, Princess, but I'm not beaten yet." Even with broken bones, burnt skin, and stabbies sticking out of him, Lloyd moves. "I still have the reason I came here. And unfortunately, to succeed I have to beat you. I... hope to meet under less explosive circumstances next time, Princess Sarracenia Sundew." He leaps, then stabs down at Sarrracenia with his silver blade. As it moves, the trigger clicks.

    "Sonic Light Spear!"

A beam of light lances from the tip of the blade, aiming to stab the Princess before his blade connects true.
Sarracenia      Sarracenia usually feels pretty good after unleasing her fury on someone. But, this Lloyd guy, some higher up in the Union, doesn't falter even after her onslaught. She finds herself comparing him to Lute. Lute claims he is heroic. Lloyd claims he isn't heroic, but that others think he is. She knows Lute is disreputable but caring, while Lloyd is...well, she doesn't know much about him except what she has heard today. She sighs as she realizes she just doesn't know enough about boys or heroes to make a good decision.

And she realizes that just in time for Lloyd to leap in at her. She yelps and brings her hammer up quickly to try and deflect it. She is only partially successful. Rather than being skewered through the torso as was likely intended, the blade deflects and slashes deep into her leg instead. The princess cries out as her blood actually flows, and when she sees it she feels a bit light-headed. "That...would be nice." she says, responding to Lloyd's comment. "But...I am here for the Confederacy, so I can't just let you win."

She twirls her hammer, trying to send Lloyd off balance with the long handle, then she leaps into the air and raises the hammer over her head. "If you are a hero, then you should win today!" she exclaims before she brings the hammer down. Combined with the momentum from the jump, it should be quite a hit.
Lloyd Irving     Lloyd winces as a stabby thing falls out of his body, clattering to the ground as he bleeds out. However, he offers a small smile to the Princess regardless. He pulls his blade back, staggering into a defensive position. It's a weak one, but it's the best he can manage. "Heh... then perhaps once we recover we can meet? Neutral ground, of course. I... admit that I want to know more about you. You... seem a bit different from most Confederates." His smile increases a bit more, before she makes her proclamation. He opens his mouth to answer, but is immediately cratered into the ground by Sarracenia's hammer smash.

He stays grounded for a moment, but then he's pushing himself back up. He's bloodied, beaten, and broken, but Lloyd Irving still stands back up after the titanic smash. "Heh..." he coughs, spewing blood across the ground, "That's the thing... about heroes..." He dashes forward, aiming to stab the princess with both blades through the stomach. Mostly so he can get close enough to whisper in her ear.

"Heroes... aren't recognized... until they fall."
Lute      At this point, Lute feels he needs to say more. Sarracenia is almost certainly going to fall for Lloyd. He knows her. He knows her type. And stealing Peach's ex might also help quite a bit.

A slight pause. He lifts the flag high to the sky, shouting one last time.

"COME ON, SARRACENIA! FOR THE CONFEDERACY! Do it for all of those in the Confederacy who care for and admire you!"
Sarracenia      Princess Sarracenia is left wincing from her own attack after the force of landing with a giant hammer in her hands, even after using Lloyd as a cushion for the force of her hammer landing. When he comes in for the stab, she can't move. Both blades slide smoothly through her, and a scream of agony echoes off of the rock that is the whole reason fighting happens here.

The princess has never felt this sensation before. After the initial impalement, it feels like her body goes kind of numb. Even moreso after what Lloyd whispers in her ear.

She gasps at Lloyd's words, and her eyes go wide, even as her blood flows down his blades. She doesn't want to kill anyone. That's not what princesses do! They can fight, that's allowed, but killing is an absolute bad thing unless it is a mindless minion or someone who is genuinely trying to kill you. Arguably, Lloyd might qualify as the latter right now, but she doesn't think he's trying to kill her. He is just fighting for his faction. If he were trying to kill her, he would have gone for her neck or her chest, right?

Lute's words reach her, but all she does is turn her eyes in his direction. Then, she looks at Lloyd again. Lute's cheering and Lloyd's words mesh rather well in that moment. She can get victory for the Confederacy and see if Lloyd is a hero in the same moment.

The princess grunts, then Lloyd might feel the swirl of magic around her, coming from the hammer. A multicolored sparkle flows down the handle from the head, then soaks into and starts to radiate from the princess. "If you are a hero...then fall." she says, though there is no malice. She actually seems to be hoping Lloyd will fall.

The magic causes Sarracenia to twitch, then fully possesses her. Her body starts to radiate power and strength, then...her hammer comes down on Lloyd. Again and again and again, in rapid succession. One might even swear one hears a soft melody playing as blow after blow of devastating destructive smashing power lands. The hammer fever lasts about 10 seconds, but in that 10 seconds at least 20 hammer hits are dealt. If Lloyd isn't fast enough, they could lead to quite a bit of damage...
Lloyd Irving     As he strikes home with his stabs, he leans in against the Princess. In this moment she might notice just how little he's running on now, but he continues to function. His eyes glass over as his functions begin to rebel and shut down on him. He's blind now, but he offers a wan smile. He can hear her, and he chuckles weakly. "It seems... that is my fate this time. But I cannot die yet. Victory, though... is yours."

Lloyd feels the blow fall and his grip on his swords is released. However, by the time the next blow falls, he's already fading. The third is unfelt, his body already unconscious. By the time Sarracenia's fever ends, Lloyd is in a crater, broken and yet still breathing. It's labored, and there's a growing pool of blood, but he'll survive. The swords clatter to the ground next to him, still coated with the princess' blood.
Lute      The moment Lloyd falls, Lute runs over towards Sarracenia. He actually takes off his labcoat, for lack of a better bandage to use. Unless he is stopped, he'll wrap it around her worst wounds tightly, to try and stop the bleeding. He sighs in relief at the fact she won. But, a soft smile, and gentle eyes, look into Sarracenia's.

"...I'm glad you won. ...Do you need help back to medical? Sanary is usually asleep at this point, but we can have someone else look after you til she can help you in the morning. You know she's a great healer, so she'll do good work on you. Or maybe Medusa?"

One of his hands reaches for Sarracenia's own. He's trying to gently take it. He looks down at Lloyd, smiling.

"...Yeah. He's strong. Surprised he dated Peach. Buuuut, really... Do you want Peach's rejected ex?"
Sarracenia      Sarracenia stumbles as she comes out of the fever, then looks at Lloyd. She smiles just a bit toward him, then looks to Lute as he runs toward her. She doesn't fight him. She lets him wrap the jacket around her, wincing as he applies pressure to her wounds. "Yes...help back to medical..." she says before coughing wetly, a bit of her blood being coughed up.

Lute's words about Lloyd make Sarracenia giggle, then wince from the pain of giggling. "I do not know. Perhaps Peach rejected him because he was always sacrificing himself for his ideals..." she says, already romanticising Lloyd. Sarracenia leans against Lute, even putting an arm around him. "Be sure he is picked up by his faction's medical corps, please." she says, even as her ship moves back in and her pirahna plant soldiers lower down a rope ladder.
Lute      Lute provides a supportive arm to Sarracenia. He speaks rather gently and calmly. It's really unlike how he usually talks, though. He winces a bit as Sarracenia coughs up the blood, though. It's not out of disgust. It's out of worry.

"...One second. I have an easier way to get you on your ship again, than making you climb a ladder after being impaled."
