Owner Pose
Taylor Scott The hanger being used is a bit distant from the main stadium and groups of the Arena. The area itself does allow guests to come in to look at the dropship used by PCI for the purposes of Armored Cores and to even peek inside the Hanger to see that massive thirty two foot machine that Taylor has been using: Gabriel.

The Armored Core right now has been stripped down of some of the parts, with mostly with the core and head unit still attached, that for now is being suspended slightly in the air where it is easy to get access to. The Arms are located over in stacking racks, including what looks like replacements and so are the legs. One leg actually has a really messed up thigh, ankle, and shin from the previous match. Though probably looks far worse, since a good deal of the armor was stripped for analyzing purposes.

Taylor himself is a raggedy t-shirt, along with jeans that are in no better condition, which one can easily guess these are the clothes he wears when he is working on stuff. For the moment he is directly under the core, on a platform that can be raised or lowered, as he is working on something in the core itself.

In the background is some 80s rock playing from some speakers and the whole area has all types of equipment, computers, and even a place to sleep, along with eat, that has been temporary built for this very purpose. Taylor seems to have made this Hanger not only his temporary work place, but also his living space as well.
Karian Icefang     Karian makes his way in, flanked of course by his ever present wolfguard and his thunderwolf, Ygdril. He lets his good eye take in the sight of the armored core, and nods. "Impressive." He says simply. He himself was likely impressive to, standing at 7 feet tall and looking like he ate bricks for breakfast. But the music, however, caused a few cringes and some rather unflattering remarks, most of which would be muttered softly. "Shame I'm not watching this machine in a fight."
Soundwave Soundwave is also not a big fan of '80's music, but for a different reason. He had to listen to the tunes as they came out, so he was sick of the newest 'big hit' (now known as 'classics' from that era) within days of it releasing. Humans do love to repeat certain songs for some reason or another. That said, background music can be tuned out and ignored for the sake of a larger focus, and the Armored Core on display is definitely the primary focus.

Soundwave is in his holomatter avatar, visually indistinguishable from a standard human male wearing a business suit and tie. He folds his arms behind his back, studying the Armored Core with a keen eye and a low interested hum. Though he's seen human attempts to build mechs (usually to fight Decepticons like himself), this is the first mech he's ever seen that could actually work.
Taylor Scott Taylor hears the steps of some people and crouches down from where he is working. There is a bit of dark smudge on his face from possibly lubricant. "Oh hey there!" He looks over at the wolf and blinks his teal blue eyes a few times. "... That is a big, I mean big, puppy. Its, uh... Trained right?" The pilot and corporate owner kicks the switch to lower down the platform as he snags the towel off the ledge to wipe his hands. "Also welcome to my evil laboratory, where I conduct mad, evil Armored Core repairing." He says with a playful grin, "Also would shake hands, but you know... Mech fluid and all that."

Taylor then steps off with no concern before the platform touches the ground, much like getting off a moving escalator. "And you might be able to catch the replay of the fight Sagat and I had. The guy hits like a freight train, which is really impressive for someone on foot. We have /no one/ in my world who can do what he did."

"I'm really excited about tomorrows cause of it." The young man says with a dangerous grin, "Maybe I won't have to hold back as much." He then looks at the group, including Soundwave with a bit more a keen eye. Suit and tie, was-- always a problem cause it meant probably business... And he didn't want to deal with business. "So, who do I have the honors of meeting?" He asks as he continues to wipe off his hands.
Karian Icefang     Karian smirks softly as Ygdril takes a seat, head tilted curiously at Taylor. "He is. He's no pup, either. Likely older then you. But...you may recognize my voice. I am Karian Icefang, of the Space Wolves Chapter. The wolf is Ygdril, my companion and my steed. These are my bodyguards, the Wolfguard." He says. As for the fight with Sagat, Karian nods. "Aye...Sagat does hit hard. I sparred with him myself once, and he proved to be quite a skilled opponent. But I had no clue he could do that." He says, pointing to the damaged leg."
Soundwave Soundwave's head tilts a bit, catching Taylor Scott's keen eye and sensing the man's surface thoughts. A very open individual, easy to read and little mental discipline from one like himself. He will need to keep this in mind should it become... relevant. Though he does glance down at his own attire, as if following Taylor's gaze.

"I seem to be overdressed," he remarks in good humor to try to disarm Taylor's wariness. There's just a faint hum of his usual melotone in his voice. "I am Soundwave." No need to be overly evasive here. "I have heard you were the owner of these mechs' manufacturing company," he motions to the Armored Core, "but I was not aware you fixed them as well."
Taylor Scott "Older than me, huh?" Taylor remarks, "That is... Probably not hard." He chuckles a little and then looks at the bodyguards, "But you probably didn't need those, given I am pretty sure most of you guys can crush me with a bear hug."

Taylor at last gets his hands clean and motions to the fridge, "Help yourself to any of the food and drinks, Karian... Or your guards, but it is a pleasure to meet you." He then looks over to Soundwave, "No biggie, I'm just hoping to stay out of the corporate light as much as I can."

The young man then throws the towel over his shoulder. "And Soundwave, huh? Interesting name... Or that a handle? I'm Taylor Scott, but something tells me you already knew this." There is a smirk for just a moment before he continues, "And yeah, I do. I love working on Armored Cores, been doing it since I was a kid. Not really to my father's liking, but whatever. The old man can keep rolling around in his grave for all I care." Perhaps family trouble between the two?
Karian Icefang     "It's their duty to follow me around. I'm a Jarl, or Lord. They have to keep me safe at all times. Never know when a chaos agent or an alien assassin will pop up." He says. To that, he pulls out a rather large flask and takes a drink from it. "brought my own. The downside of being a Space Marine is that while we can digest just about anything, it takes the enjoyment out of things."
Soundwave Soundwave allows a faint smirk to cross his face. Taylor is quite sharp for a human. "Name. This form," he motions to himself, "is a disguise of sorts to prevent undue attention or alarm. My true form is..." His voice trails off for a moment, his gaze sharpening and studying the incomplete Armored Core, "...about as tall as your mech, I would assume."

He politely declines the offer for food or drink, folding his arms over his chest and approaching the mech a little closer. He does not touch on the topic of Taylor's father, sensing bad blood and emotions he'd rather not deal with at this time, instead focusing on what Taylor actually does like to discuss. "Did you design this mech yourself?"
Taylor Scott "Lord huh?" Taylor says with a raised eye brow, "Interesting... and Space Marine? I know what a Marine was, before the American Alliance changed the whole way the military structure was done after the UN collapse, but... what is a Space Marine in comparison?"

He then looks over to Soundwave, "Wait--- You're a giant?" Taylor blinks his eyes a few times before grinning like a kid, "That is awesome!" Then furrows his brows, "And yeah, I did. Gabriel is my own personal design. I mean, someone could make another Armored Core to look like her, but they also have to figure out what I have on the inside and she isn't cheap. No Armored Core is cheap when you start playing around with the custom modular nature."

He crosses his arms over his chest. "But, shouldn't stop people from eventually making a true machine, just means time and investment. Like anything in life you love."
Karian Icefang     "We are the elite warriors of the Imperium of Man. Taken when we are young, we are trained and augmented into what you see before you. Super soldiers, the edge of the blade and tip of the spear. We go where the enemy lives and destroy them. We have many other names, including 'Angels of Death'. The core of it is that we are the defenders of all mankind, the God-Emperor, and Imperium of Man." He then looks over to his wolf, who apparently trotted off to investigate the hanger. "We fight alien forces, mutants, and heretics who follow chaos."
Soundwave Soundwave honestly didn't expect that reaction, or a positive one at all. Well, he'll see where that innocent enthusiasm goes when they fight each other. Taylor strikes him as a Union sympathizer by personality alone if not in fact, so they'll be on opposite sides soon enough.

He hums softly as he nods. "I see. Just as some worlds have vehicles they can alter to their own perferences, you offer a mech. Interesting." He largely falls silent, though, listening to Taylor and Karian talk.
Taylor Scott Taylor gives a nod to Soundwave, "Right. We use them for all types of things, but normal transportation is still done by a vehicle." He then looks over to Karian, "Sounds like you guys are out to kick all sorts of asses and claim names." This is followed by a smirk. "I'm sure the Frighteners probably like you guys, hell, probably even the Ravens themselves."
Karian Icefang     "Aye. No mercy, No remorse, No regret. We know no fear, for we are fear incarnate." He says with a chuckle. "Usually, if we're sent to a world or something like that, the situation is bad. We take command and either win, or die trying. Of course, I've seen alot of war in my 120 years, but even so I'm still a child compared to some of my brothers."
Soundwave Soundwave raises an eyebrow. "I assume 'Frighteners' and 'Ravens' are your military forces?" He asks Taylor. But at Karian's reply, he turns towards the Space Marine. "I know standard humans consider 80 years to be a long life. If you and yours consider 120 years to be young, what do you consider old?"
Taylor Scott Taylor gives a nod to Soundwave, "They are both part of the Armored Core Forces. Ravens are our standard guys, while the Frighteners are... Far more specialized and dangerous. Only the best of the best become a Frightener and not everyone even then can make it to wear the badge of honor that marks them as such."

His teal blue eyes look over to Karian, "You guys live to be /that/ old?" He says with some amazement in his voice, "Holy shit, that /is/ impressive! I mean, we got a few who can live past hundred, but they are old fogies who can't even get around well."
Karian Icefang     Karian looks over to soundwave. "Our Chapter Master is over 700, and our honored brother Bjorn, despite his residing in a dreadnaught frame, is over 10 millenia old. We live a very long time." He says. Then he looks back over to Taylor. "The Frighteners sound quite interesting....tell me more about them."
Soundwave Soundwave looks impressed. By no means is it a number that would match an average Cybertronian's lifespan, but it is still an impressive feat of science and engineering to extend a human's lifespan into the millenia. Far beyond most human-based worlds he's seen, at the very least. "Indeed."

Though he's still listening to the conversation, he wanders off to get a better look at the different parts of the Armored Core. He still maintains a respectful distance, keeping in mind this mech is in the WMAT and all, but it's still fairly clear where his interest lies.
Taylor Scott Taylor shifts his weight slightly as he goes to explain to Karian, "The Frighteners are some of our best pilots and the only fools who are willing to risk fighting an Armored Core on foot. Its still suicidal for them, but they stand the best chance." Taylor then lowers his arms as he continues to explain. "They operate under the direct orders of both the President, like all of our military, and a man by the name of Leos Klein. He is an old general who has seen allot of battles and is not someone you want to get on the bad side of."

"I have never met the guy myself, very few have, just like you never will meet a Frightener, but at the same time you might. Many of the Frighteners tend to hide their identities behind aliases in order to cover secrecy, some don't. It depends on what they do and how infamous they are." Taylor explains further with a hrm. "Bottom line is, if you see a Frightener, you know something serious is going down."

As Taylor talks with Karian, Soundwave will find all types of parts laying around, including even the weapons as well. The machine looks to be fully articulated, where like with a human, it doesn't seem to have much in the way of limitations. The computer terminals for now all have screen savers, hiding whatever information may be behind them, but they all seemed hooked up to a drive of some kind. Perhaps the black-box of the machine, which is actually not that large.
Karian Icefang     Karian nods softly. "Sounds like another group I'm familiar with. A secret order of Marines sword to serve the Inquisition as Deamon hunters." He muses. He was, of course, speaking of Grey Knights. But he then shifts back to the Armored Core. "You mentioned to Soundwave your a tech as well as a CEO....what can you tell me about this mech? It does seem like a potent tool....and potentially a good acquisition."
Taylor Scott Taylor chuckles, "I'm not the CEO, I /am/ the corporation." He muses at this. "CEOs are what some of the smaller firms under us have, but yeah... That is all boring details, I'd rather not get into." He rubs the back of his neck a bit. His gaze, then moves over to Gabriel, "Armored Cores were designed back in World War Two by the Germans. They were superior to anything we or the allies had, so a group figured out how they worked and we built our own."

Taylor smiles softly, this seeming to be his true comfort zone of conversation "Now, Armored Cores are pretty much used for all types of applications. From military, police, construction, and even rescue. The AC, as we like to short hand it to, is fully modular, so if there is a job it needs to do, the parts can be swapped out to do that job." He has a bit of pride in his voice, "While Millennium Enterprise though may have us beat on the flight tech though, we are going to get their eventually and they know it too."
Karian Icefang     Karian nods in approval. "Quite a useful endeavor, and noble cause." He says. He folds his arms and thinks for a long moment. "While I'm not authorized to speak for the Imperium as a whole, I am practical enough to know that we sons of russ will need more firepower when the time comes to fight chaos. I would like to propose a kind of business arrangement.
Soundwave Soundwave is silent for a long while, listening and studying, but something Taylor Scott says catches his attention. "Millenium Enterprise?" He wanders back over closer to Karian and Taylor, seemingly content with what he'd seen. "I assume a competitor?"
Taylor Scott "Sure, sure..." Taylor say as business agreement comes up. "We can probably work up something once I get breather from WMAT and got the right tools around for it." And headspace...

The young man then looks over to Soundwave, "ME? Ha. They are, yeah, they are the ones who are also in charge of the whole damn Euro-Expanse. Those guys have no interest in the people and only their corporate control. If it they had it their way, the rule over the whole world and be the only voice. The only reason they haven't is because of the American Alliance and partly the DOVE system, but... DOVE can't do anything about our war... Only make sure the people who are not involved don't get caught up in it."
Karian Icefang     Karian nods again, contemplating. "Sounds like corporate warfare. Or like nobles in-fighting." He says, rubbing his temples softly. He didn't like politics like that at all.
Soundwave Soundwave nods to Karian. "Corporate warfare is an accurate term." Still, it's a thought. Certainly an option to consider reaching towards if Taylor is indeed as Union-leaning as he seems on the surface. "Though I wonder," his attention returns to Taylor, "what are the differences in technology between Millenium Enterprises and your PCI? You mentioned something about flight earlier, I believe."
Taylor Scott Taylor nods to Karian, "Corporate warfare is accurate, only difference is... It is on a global scale. If we lose, being American Alliance, then all the people of our world will lose total freedom. If Euro-Expanse loses, people all over the world can have true, proper freedom. The American way." He says with a sage nod.

"But, I will not deny that M E has some really nice stuff, as much as I hate to admit that." He frowns a little, "Yet, they really need to work on their paper mechs, though I suppose that is the price to pay for aerial dominance and speed."

Taylor looks to Soundwave, "Right, flight and forcefields." The young man crosses his arms over his chest. "Their Armored Cores are fast, can fly for near forever, and have kinetic based forcefields that use, what we guess, is the magtech generators to create them. While our Armored Cores can be no slouches on speed, but we don't have the aerial abilities nor the forcefields, we depend on sheer armor and being built to take a beating."

"While their Armored Cores can be punched through like paper if the field ever fails." Taylor adds with a shake of his head. "About as bad as Black Jacks when it comes to carrying about the lives behind the cockpits."
Karian Icefang     Karian hrm's softly at that. "Judging just from what I see here, the AC's are somewhat akin to our dreadnaughts. I wonder if there is a way to combine both bits of technology, without compromising the person within." He then realizes that he should explain. "Dreadnaughts, in my world, are used as living tombs. Greviously wounded marines are interred into the frame. They are kept alive, but can never leave the frame. They also must be kept asleep until needed."
Soundwave Understanding crosses Soundwave's face, his pupils flickering red for a split second. "That is how some of your comrades are able to live so long?" He asks, thinking he somewhat understands a bit better now.

Though the thought of combining man and machine reminds him of the Machination and Scorponok's messing a few years ago... but it's hardly a comparative, all things considered.

Taylor's explanation gets a thoughtful 'hmm', complete with a hand rubbing his chin. "I see. Different focii, different results, but still based on the same tech. I wonder if the modularity also allows compatibility between two companies." His eyes narrow slightly. "Black Jacks? That is a new name."
Taylor Scott Taylor raises an eyebrow, "So these Dreadnaughts have human brains installed into them or...?" The idea seems to bug the corporate leader a bit but he hrms softly. "Might be able to use the MT device for the same function, it uh... reads the neural transmission that helps control motor functions in order to aid the AI on board the Armored Core to understand more complex locomotion that you want done." This explanation is followed by a nervous laugh. "We found that easier to do then trying to teach an AI every, single, step from a keyboard stroke, you know?"

The young man then looks over to Soundwave, "I think they are, yes, but you'd have to find some of the Men of War to ask them. They are mercenaries, as for Black Jack... They are a terrorist group." Taylor tsks softly. "Black Jack is lead by someone that goes by the name of Hustler One, he is a pilot you don't want to mess with and is serious trouble."

Taylor shifts his weight slightly. "The Black Jacks also managed to hack into H-1 once, but thankfully the system booted them out before they could really /do/ anything. Though I'm sure they are still trying to find work-arounds to get past all three quantum computers."
Karian Icefang     "Not a brain, but the person. They often would not live otherwise. It is a curse as much as a blessing." Karian admits. He then perks an ear up at the Black Jacks. "Sounds like a challenge to me.....I like challenges."
Taylor Scott "They are... give most of our basic military fits." Taylor explains to Karian. "Only thing is, they been damn quiet since we've been in the Multiverse, but I'm sure they are planning something... or working on a bigger black market production."
Soundwave Soundwave listens carefully, nodding in turn to Taylor and Karian as explanations are given to various questions and parts of conversations. While information gathering was quite unintentional, it has given him much to consider and study in his own time. "I see." He looks up at the wall to the digital display of the time. "Ah. I should be returning soon." He bows his head to Taylor and Karian both. "Thank you for your time. I enjoyed the converstation."
Taylor Scott Taylor places up his hand to Soundwave, "You take care as well, if you ever need anything, let me know!" He then looks back over to Karian, "I probably should also get back to work. Like to get Gabriel back together and do a final test run to make sure all the systems are talking before the fight tomorrow."

He grins, "Should be real fun."
