Riva Banari Welcome to the Bar at the End of the Multiverse. It's like that other, lesser bar you might have heard of except here everyone really does know an approximation of your name. Riva is sitting at said bar, swirling a Long Island Iced Tea while reviewing her information from the DigiWorld and figuring out if there's anything that triggers her 'I need to poke this' sense. She's gotten a pretty fine version of that honed up since she swallowed a bee one night.
Wuyin Tsai That other bar had a tragic accident and burned to the ground a few years back. Nobody ever did know the name of the one who did it...

(This one, being /in space/, has less of a problem with that sorta thing happening.)

A familiar guy in 3D glasses sits down next to Riva at the enormous actual bar in the Bar & Grill(e). He gestures for the bartender and says a few words. Pretty swiftly, he's brought a bottle of some random world's microbrew's best beer (or, well, so they claim).

"Well," he remarks without prompting, "I think that went well."
Riva Banari "Considering there wasn't anything trying to eat us and no world-shattering crisis at hand, I'd say that was pretty damn optimal." Riva replies, looking over from her drink to the weird guy who seems to wear 3D glasses basically everywhere. "Doesn't that mess with your vision? Seeing everything in blue and red, I mean?"
Wuyin Tsai There's a nod at the bit about not-getting-eaten. That comes up way too often. It is, perhaps, a disturbing norm.

"I like to think it helps me keep perspective on things, especially now that the Multiverse is something we'll have to deal with on a regular basis," Wu replies. "There is the Union," he gestures at the blue lens, "and the Confederacy," and then at the red one. "But what about all the things in between?"

"You have to think in at least three dimensions," he advises, lifting his drink to his lips.
Riva Banari Riva just shrugs at that. "Right now I'm just working on understanding the Union. Everything is just so... big. There's bound to be all kinds of people that slip through the cracks or don't fit in." She takes a drink of the Long Island Iced Tea at that. "So what's your deal?"
Wuyin Tsai "A larger mirror to the worlds we once felt were too alone. Exaggerated, even. The heroes are larger-than-life, and the villains are, too. And unionized, though only one will be open about it." He smiles a little, taking a sip and putting the bottle down lightly.

Wu glances at her. "You'll have to be more specific. By the by, tell me how that goes, the whole Union understanding thing. I get the impression they don't really understand it, either."
Riva Banari "God, you sound like that guy from my Philosophy class." Riva replies jokingly. "With the whole deep pronouncements and everything. What don't they understand?" She thinks for a moment, and then shrugs. "You showed me that message in the Digital World. You say you know me, but I don't know anything about you. So what, are part of one of the other, um.... groups?"
Wuyin Tsai "Yeah, I keep getting told I should've been a philosophy major," Wuyin asides with a slightly broader smile. "That'll show me, being a non-professional and making those proclaimations and all." He shrugs a shoulder. "I don't know yet. But if they had it all figured out, don't you think they would have told you whatever 'it' is?"

A nod. "Mm. I saw you head out of Agartha. Not many people go through that gate. I think most of them are waiting for some word from on high about what to do in the Multiverse. I prefer to act instead of wait for orders. The Council likes to take its sweet time before it sends any of its agents abroad," Wuyin says, perhaps significantly.
Maya Maya looked normal enough well barring the tattoo streaks oin her face and those on her exposed lower arms she looked like someone who might be from earth that dyed her hair blue. Maya come sup to the pair at the bar and pauses for a moment, taking note of Riva and Wu.

"Evening Riva, friend of yours?"

She asks looking to Wu trying to get a feel for the man.
Riva Banari "If that's how you want to take it, sure. I more look at it as people saying you should do what you seem to be good at. Of course, we sure don't seem to get a choice in the matter, since now we all seem to be suddenly good at killing horrible things." Riva shakes her head at that and then drains off a significant amount of the Long Island she's been playing with.

"I don't know what the answers are. There might not even be answers. You just deal with things how you can. That's what I've been doing so far, it's working out fine so far."

The mention of the Council and Agartha cause her to frown. "And if the Council's not out here... It's fair game... Not that they could possibly enforce anything out here. It's too big."

Maya's arrival causes Riva to brighten up a little. "Hey, Maya! Good to see you again. Um... I don't know about 'friend', but we'll settle for 'professional acquaintence' for the moment."
Wuyin Tsai "It isn't, but that's certainly the easiest way to take it." He lapses into momentary silence when she mentions the monster thing. He nods his head, slowly. "There are a great deal of horrible things," Wuyin says, "that, all of a sudden, need killing."

Wuyin shrugs again. "It isn't as if the Council can enforce anything home, either. They tend to make the 'big three' do all the heavy lifting in the name of peace and cooperation. One can hope it doesn't collapse out here."

He casts a look at Maya. Wuyin nudges the side of his 3D glasses in the closest approximation to a hat-tip he can manage.
Riva Banari "So we're basically on our own, with no oversight and basically no support unless we hike back to our own world." Riva summarizes glumly. "Great. I look forward to the first Illuminati who thinks it'll be hilarious to sit over an Anima Well with a sniper rifle."

She drains off the last of her drink, and then looks over to Wuyin. "IF nothing else, at least we're not alone, even if we're not really going to be able to access our support networks."
Maya Maya does take note of some of th eterms being dropped and does recall them from the reports. She doesn't comment on them for a moment. She greets Riva and smiles at the other woman.

"Ah I know how that goes honestly."

She looks to Wuyin and nods.

"Yes, yes there are a lot of such things I'm afraid."

She looks back and forth for a moment

"DO you mind if I join you both?"

She catches the hat nod, okay glasses ti-p but she caught it.

"Off world support has helped my world and others ... change how things might have played out otherwise."
Wuyin Tsai "Well, you said you're trying to figure out the Union, right? That's a sort of support. I think the Syndicate may be up our profession's particular alley, too. Besides... it's not as if you've got any Illuminati enemies, right?" He shoots her a sidelong look. "It doesn't sound like you've been doing this very long."

"Support will come if you desperately need it; I imagine you can keep in touch. Helps to have friends in Multiversal places, too. Like her, for instance," he says, gesturing at Maya. "It isn't like the Templars would be any more help than the Union would. Though, there /are/ certain constants between worlds, at least in the form of, ah..."

He searches for a word. "...unlikely information?"
Riva Banari "I don't mind at all." Riva says, gesturing to the seat next to her. The one not occupied by an enigmatic man. She gestures and orders another drink, which she begins the process of nursing once more. "Maybe we can get help from the people out here to deal with the problems we're facing. Though with the situation how it is, I wouldn't be surprised that we'll end up with things getting a lot more complicated." She shoots Wu a look and hazards a guess. "Though I guess that what you guys are all about, right?"

She shrugs at the question, however. "Not very long. I was assigned to dealing with problems on Solomon Island before being reassigned out here. Either I've been really impressing them or I screwed something up." She takes a drink. "I have no idea which. I'm learning things and meeting people. Maya here is pretty cool." She laughs and gives her a clap on the shoulder at that. "As far as the rest..." She makes an uncertain hum. "At this rate maybe I should start drinking mead."
Maya Maya nods a little bit for a moment ato Wu not sure with everything he said.

"There are maniacs who will poke things that are unwise to poke. Then again I sene a lot here in ten years out here. It generally does, I recently have people cut a deal with remants of fallen noble house and others to invade my home world. It got really messy and humm Solomon yes I hear a little about that I think."

Maya takes well to the clap on the shoulder.

"Mead? That's one of the things on the list of things form earth I enjoy. Also chocolate."

Yer her world did not have chocolate...Maya also looks a bit sheepish at the compliment as well.
Wuyin Tsai "I think it would not be inaccurate to say that the entirety of the large power-bases in our world are all about things getting complicated, through their interference or someone else's," Wuyin replies, a second before he takes another drink. He isn't as drown-your-sorrows about it as Riva appears to be.

"I'd wager it has something more to do with your fresh perspective." Fresh is the operative word here. "Mead wouldn't be a bad idea. Chocolate couldn't hurt, either. It sounds as if the Multiverse is going to interfere whether we want it to or not, given your history with it," Wu observes, looking Maya's way. "Might be best to get them the introductory course sometime. Know of the Anti-Anima before it knows of them."
Riva Banari Riva's moping a bit, but surely she isn't srinking her sorrows away.

Or maybe she is and she's in denial. It's not just a river in Egypt anymore! "You've read the dossier I sent to the Union already? Well, that's... good! That's good." She seems surprised. "But you're right, the hellish zombie apocalypse is out of the ocean. Can't put it back so easily." She mutters for a moment. "But yeah, I included what we had on it in the document to the Union. I assume you're doing the same for... whoever you're working with. Anyone? Everyone? I can't imagine you're planning on limiting yourself."
Maya Maya says "I did, I try to keep up on threats. Zombie apocalypses I have experianice with such, and I know others do too. This however isn't something certain allies of my normal tactics would ... work against such. I'm still milling over it I don't like it, it's crouptive that makes it dangerous even against people like myself. The anti-anima reminds me of a few things in pracitce but I doubt it's only due to how it seems to operate. I'd be foolish to assume we'd seen anything like it before. If it cn leave the groups on your worlds concerned. We'd be foolish not to be as well."
Wuyin Tsai "I'm certain it isn't going to be enough." His expression becomes serious for a moment. "That's the reason we're here, you know. You and me, outside our comfortable little lives and blissful ignorance. I don't think what we know is even close to adequate for solving the problem."

Wuyin momentarily bows his head. He lifts it again, and then reaches into his pocket, pulling out a handful of coin -- Pax, which appears to be accepted here like everything else. He leaves it on the bar with an empty bottle. It's more than enough to cover him, and whatever the two women had or might want, too.

"I think that everyone needs a helping hand now and then, whether they want to admit it or not. If they ask about it, and if they want to help /us/, then I'll tell them what they need to know." He sticks his hand in his pocket again, and withdraws a blank business card with a number scrawled on it. He places it next to Riva's drink, and then turns towards the door.

"Call me if you need me." He's gone in a span of breaths.

Dragon, man.
