Razer      The Green Lantern Corps has been making inroads into the Multiverse, it appears. They've set up a small listening post in Astroidia, the lynchpin of any Multiversal operations they might conduct. Of course, when Atrocitus learnt of this, the order was given - the entire place was to be razed to the ground and all Green Lanterns killed. Such is the will of Atrocitus. His grand crusade cannot be denied.

It's not an order Razer understands. Killing Green Lanterns just means that their power ring ends up in the hands of another worthy person. The end result is neither positive nor negative. However, that isn't the point. The point is, that for every ring that returns to Oa, the Green Lantern Corps will be gripped by fear as they realise they are under targeted, deliberate attack. While Lanterns can be replaced, their experience and knowledge... /that/ will be lost.

By the time the Union responders arrive, the Green Lantern base is already in flames. Giant red armored soldiers with cyclopean helmets and staff weapons are attacking the place, red beams igniting from the ends of their weapons. A Green Lantern raises a shield and three of the soldiers triangulate their fire, shooting him in the back.

Phobo appears to be in combat with Razer. Or, to be precise, is just trying to survive Razer's onslaught. He's deployed a shield from his ring and Razer is countering it with an unending torrent of red hate. It doesn't blast the shield - no, the red energy /contaminates/ the shield, fissures beginning to split it. In the face of rage, simple willpower just isn't enough.
Black Arachnia If the Green Lanterns were on their own, they'd probably be in a lot of trouble. And from Black Arachnia's perspective, they're in a lot of trouble *anyway* - but she heard the distress call from Phobo, she was in the sector surveying for energon, and her surveying partner probably wouldn't let her get away with ignoring a plea for help from other good guys.

(And to top THAT off? It's not Silverbolt she was working with on the energon survey, but that's beside the point.)

Rather than being all heroic and issuing an ultimatum on her way in, Black Arachnia sticks to what she's good at, traversing the gaps between chunks of rock with a combination of jumps and her mandible grapnel, sizing up the Red Lanterns, finding stray individuals who don't have teammates nearby whenever she can single them out ... and ambushing the hell out of them before most of them can realize they're under attack, picking them off one by one.

She's very likely using her electro-disruptor to help prevent sensors from detecting her - but she isn't pushing it up to full 'actually invisible' intensity, either; she's just damping her mechanical and electronic signatures, and usling the asteroids to help hide her presence further.
Crys Gattz Crys Gattz si they are in space, huh? this was going to get intereing Crys mused as she arrived. She sees the bast is already in flames. She sees the Red Lanterns here and her eye narrows a bit as he reaids a photon saber in one hand and a pistol in the other. She's not issuing a call she's following much what Black Arachnia is doing. She's sneaking about and making ready to get a good bumb rush in on the red laterns.
Blurr     Blurr and Black Arachnia had just happened to be in this particular sector of space, so it's a good thing the Oans aren't alone out here as far as space-worthy allies in the Multiverse. The two of them had been scouting for energon deposits as well as other potential assets of interest, though most of this area had come up dry.

Plus, this kind of work often really bores the speedy Autobot, especially when the mission is rather uneventful and slow. Anything slow he hates, you know. So when the URGENT GET HERE FAST LIKE REALLY FAST distress signal is received on the comms array he can't help but be just a little bit relieved. Not that it's -good- the Green Lanterns are getting attacked, it's just...well you know!

Upon arriving and seeing that the devastation is already underway, just as Black Arachnia he wastes no time in moving to defend the outpost. Nor does he announce his arrival, just gets to shooting immediately. He notices that guy with the shield that is starting to give way and decides to fire first on his attacker in an attempt to knock his aim off.
Razer      The Lantern soldiers are quite unaware of Black Arachnia and Crys as the pair pick them off, one by one. They're surely well-trained and well-equipped but it doesn't seem like they have any real idea of what's going on. Still, eventually, someone in charge notices that they're losing soldiers and the remainder begin to congregate near the center of the base, where Razer is just striking down Phobo - who appears to be the last survivor. Small green stars, the power rings of the dead Green Lanterns, slip out into the darkness of space.

Underneath Razer's onslaught, Phobo's shield shatters, green fragments of hard-light fading away into nothingness as the Green Lantern goes bouncing along the ground. Razer floats after him, like an ethereal assassin. "This is the end, Green Lantern," Razer seethes, and his ring glows-

Just in time for Razer to get struck by Blurr's shot. Razer is knocked for a spin, smoke curling off his glowing crimson armor, and he glowers in Blurr's direction. "You're too late," Razer comments, planting one boot on Phobo's chest.

Razer lowers his ring hand, and fires - and the red energy consumes Phobo from the outside in.
Black Arachnia The Maximal spider parks herself on another asteroid and does a quick sweep for life signs. None in the fortress ... and other than her allies, most of the other remaining life-forms in the immediate area are clustered together now.

'Too late' seems like an understatement. She does some brief number-crunching, then starts circling around to try and come up on Razer's blind side. It's either this, or throw herself into a fight against multiple super-powered enemies who are actually on their guard, and she's not stupid enough to go blundering into something like that.

And there's a piece of her which wonders why she's bothering. If the local contingent of Green Lanterns is already dead, there isn't much left that Black Arachnia or her allies can do about *that*. She could just as easily turn around and leave instead of trying to sucker-punch Razer like she went after so many of his buddies ...

Maybe she should. She holes up on another rock where she can keep a couple of eyes on her allies and see what *they* do.
Blurr     Slag it! Blurr knew they should have gotten here faster! Faster is always better, and this is proof of that. He scans for any other lifesigns besides Crys' or Black Arachnia's, but finds none save for the final survivor.

The shot temporarily distracts Razer but finally even Phobos is down as well before the Autobot can act--fast as he is. He shakes his head and speaks over the Autobots' local comms to the Maximal. << Well -that- was a failure. I say we pull out, doesn't look like there's much else here to salvage. Guy's not worth our time anyway. >>

He transforms, folding back down into his vehicle mode before starting to take off back toward their ship.
Crys Gattz Crys Gattz is moving on quirtly for now she'll go loud soon enough. She watches as Blurr bails on it.

<<No the enemy is still here we need to thin their numbers at that. I thought someone at war for so long would get the idea to take out the enemy whern you had the chance.>> R
She's noe starting to hunt and stalk looking for an unwary Red Lantern to pounce.
