Agahnim      During the time in Kakariko Village, a bit of info on the location of the Great Fairy was gained. The Great Fairy rests just to the North-East of the village, on the path to the Forsaken Fortress. It's visible from the road, if one knows where to look. A slight fork in the mountain path, heading towards what looks to be a natural cave. A simple wooden sign sits outside of reads in the local language: 'Spring of the Great Fairy of Power'.

This place is, thankfully, fairly far removed from the village, or any other people. Few have any reason to travel to the Gerudo Desert. But, the ominous cave lays before the group. On occasion, a small ball of light with insect-like wings fly out. Fairies.

This is, almost certainly, the place.

And Agahnim has asked everyone to kill what is inside.
Sanary Rondel      The Great Fairy of Power. It was a name that Sanary hadn't heard much of before, but she knew better than to underestimate anyone just because of the name. For even something like a fairy to be renowned in that manner meant it had to be truly powerful even compared to non-fairies.

With that in mind, she's fully prepared for the job at hand. She's got her Tetsucabra Z armor on today, knowing full well that she probably won't be able to meet power with power after her past few fights with... Well, everything. No, she'd need something to amp up her defenses, and this armor would do just the trick. She's also brought her trusty charge blade and kite shield combo along, stowed on her back along an odd looking staff under all that for safe keeping.

And just in case anyone legitimately trying to seek the fai aid is around, she's got a light cloak and breathing mask on for good measure. Sure, it makes her look even bulkier, but she's not in this to win a beauty contest! She's here to kill some fairies.
Project MORDRED MORDRED is not really a fan of faeries to begin with. This is based on reading up on various variants of his own story, and fairies never being mentioned in anything but a negative light in them. Unlike Sanary he makes no pretense at being here for peaceful purposes, he's suited up inside Glare-NT, the fifteen foot tall warmachine looks somewhat like a giant suit of medieval armour, if it wasn't for the thrusters and other mechanical elements that aren't exactly hidden. He's drawn his monofilament broadsword and seems ready to go.
Krezentia Einjager     "Is that a freaking sign?" is Krezentia's first reaction, as the group (or at least, Sanary and her) come across a wooden sign advertizing the spring. She wasn't there, when information was gleamed about the Great Fairy, but she expected...

Guards? A dungeon? A palace? Something, really.
    Anything.

Instead it's some backwater cave with a sign.

"Huh... well, alright," the Magi finally comes to the term with the facts.

Flying by the blonde girl is a fairy of her own, purple light forming a sphere around Kopie, who'd actually blend in pretty well here if not for the fact her wings are much smaller, and her foot-tall humanoid body is much easier to distinguish. The ones here are so bright it's kind of hard to tell if there's a tiny person there or just a very large firefly.

"I guess we should knock, funya~," Kopie offers.
Agahnim      The handful of fairies that fly near the entrance come and go fairly randomly. But, it's no problem to sneak past them. It's not even necessary, though. The fairies don't seem to mind visitors, at all.

Once the group /does/ head inside? It's quite a sudden change. After a bit of cave, there is suddenly a rectangular hallway. Fancy stone tiles make up the walls, ceiling, and floors. Here and there, there are unusual statues shaped like nothing in particular. Progressing further inside will lead to an incredibly large room. There is a calm ambience within the room as a whole, and it is filled with a light watery mist. The walls of this chamber climb up into a domed ceiling. Some drips of water fall from the ceiling, landing on the centerpiece of this room. A large circular pool of water, surrounded by a series of grey bricks. The pool of water is only ankle deep. Within the center, a symbol can be seen. A series of three triangles, set with each meeting at a corner. The symbol of the Triforce.
Sanary Rondel      "That... Is a sign, yep." Sanary laughs as she peers at that little sign, rubbing her neck and wincing at the light crick from stretching it. "Means we got the right place, at least." She looks from Krezentia to Kopie to MORDRED, holding in another snicker at the vast discrepancies in their appearances.

"We really need to coordinate outfits next time." Taking a deep breath, the girl adjusts her eyepatch and breathing mask before heading itno the cave proper. She tries to make it look as natural as possible, of course, and even waves at the fairies passing by. It'd be easier to kill the big one with the element of surprise, after all!

The change in decor does make her pause for a moment, however, and she does take a little more care in her steps so as to not clonk about with those heavy boots on. Granted, it's probably for naught what with MORDRED being in his Glare-NT, but still. "Nice place they got here... Wonder who built it." Stepping towards those series of triangles, Sanary adjusts her cloak to keep herself covered before stepping into the pool proper. "Hey. Uh. Think we gotta do anything with this?"
Project MORDRED "Not much to coordinate for me. Unless I'm fighting outside my Armour." While he's certainly not being stealthy, MORDRED is /not/ making clonky sounds with every step. That's because his thrusters are set to hover, and they're fairly quiet when they do. He transmits over local encrypted radio, just for the sake of not being too blatant about this, "If no-one else knows how to lure out this so-called great faery of power, I would venture a guess that if she's a threat worth sending all of three of us after, her initial instinct upon seeing her spring demolished would be to come forth. Not my preferred method however."
Krezentia Einjager     "Huh? Why? I mean, what's wrong with this?" Krezentia glances at Sanary, before inspecting her own outfit. Sure it's not armor, and it's not power armor, but it's comfortable. Do they really need to look like a team?

Heading inside, she glances about, occasionally at fairies, other times at the walls, just curious for anything that stands out. It turns out this is really just a cave, with a pond, and a bunch of triangles. Great.

"Yeah, no, I got nothing. I'm with the guy in the mecha, if we blow up her house she might show up, unless you've got a better idea." Things they should have done: ask the evil wizard lord how to summon the Great Fairy, if that's even necessary at all.
Agahnim      Thankfully for everyone, the Great Fairy won't take any sort of special summoning ritual.

A laugh happens. It is incredibly high pitched and screechy at first, before slowly tapering off. The water in the center of the pool bursts up into a column, a silloutte of a female figure within. There is a wave of water, splashing through the fountain. Sanary herself is almost certainly going to get a bit soaked due to this.

She appears, though. Her form is, almost certainly, completely unexpected. Giant and towering, twice the height of most humans. Her face has incredibly sharp features, with wide eyes and too much eyeshadow. Her ears are long, Hylian ears. Her hair flows behind her in three long ponytails, each floating magically behind her. Her body isn't covered in clothing. Instead, a vast amount of vines and ivy cover her. A pair of black knee-high boots are upon her feet.

She takes a sitting position, floating in the air. One leg is crossed over the other, while her hands are crossed under her chest. Her red lips smile, as she considers the three before her in turn.

"...Ah~. And what brings the three of you to my fountain?"
Sanary Rondel      The lack of clonking is indeed a relief to Sanary, although it does make her just a little more self-concious about her own. "There's nothing wrong with any of it. We just look.... Disorganized, is all." She laughs lightly and leaves it at that, shuddering briefly at having even thought about that sort of thing. She'll need to go through some tougher training later to make up for it.

the idea of smashing up a place so nice looking isn't all that appealing to her, but at least they don't have to stoop to that level once the Great Fairy appears on her own. She definitely could have done without the splashing, though.

Looking up at the Great Fairy, it takes Sanary a moment to regain her composure. /This/ giant woman was still considered a fairy? Great fairy or not, something just didn't add up here. Still, they had a job to do, and the element of surprise could still be on their side. "Er. Hey there, Greet Fairy. We're here because..."

Shit. What would be a plausible excuse? "Because... We wanted to borrow some of your power! To fight a great evil... Thing." She glances over at MORDRED and Krezentia, giving them a rather vague look with her eyebrows raising a few times. Damn breathing mask making it hard to mouth things silently.
Project MORDRED "Please forgive my companion, she does not know how to properly handle these things." MORDRED follows up Sanary, by now his voice is transmitted through audio, before pointing the six foot long sword he wields at the Great Fairy of Power. "We have come to kill you. If you do not resist, your death shall be swift and painless. If you do, we can make no guarantees of the sort." Subtle? Definitely not. But there's honesty to it, at least. "Will you stand down peacefully?"
Krezentia Einjager     "Oh. Eh. We look fine." Krezentia shrugs.

It seems, at least, they won't need to look far for the Great Fairy; she shows herself willingly, and it causes the Magi to grin, mentally swapping through her arsenal. Oh, there's a good one. We couldn't have the Great Fairy run away, now could we. As Sanary attempts to make excuses, the Magi does not, and instead briefly glows. Her hair and shirt turn a dark blue, and her eyes gleam red.

"What she meant to say is 'fight FOR a great evil'." She raises a hand, abruptly, and a wave of magic crashes through the cave. "Time Unlimited."

In a sudden flash of light, a spell recreates the cavern inside a pocket dimension. The colors are inverted, saved for the occupants, but the realm doesn't spread very far-- leaving this room, at least by walking, wouldn't be possible. The Great Fairy isn't a schmuck, though, so it's entirely possible she can trivially overpower this.

Krezentia figures, though, it's as good as any other means to try to keep the being contained for now. "Anyway, what he said. You can stand down or we can stuff those ponytails down your throat. It won't really change what happens, but in one version of the story you scream and hurt a lot less."
Agahnim      The Great Fairy looks towards Sanary as she speaks... And then towards the others. She lets out a laugh again, another high pitched laugh just like her first. The smile never leaves her face. If /anything/, this all is just /amusing/ her. She lifts a hand to her face, pressing a finger to her lips as she looks over the group one last time.

"Ahhh, well... You three have some magic to you, then? ...Well~. I suppose I should be polite, and give my answer."

The finger on her lip moves forward, and suddenly snaps. There is a spiral of flame surrounding her, spreading out wide and far. If this goes unstopped, the entire room will be completely filled with fire in short order.

Her other hand waves around the room. She can't just /effortlessly/ remove the spell of Krezentia. In fact, it's taking a fair amount of focus. But, with time, she is likely to undo the pocket dimension. She knows it will leave her /somewhat/ open to attack if she spends a significant amount of time doing that, though. Which is why the flames. It is also why she takes a moment of time to prepare a weapon.

Specifically, her weapon is a gigantic empty glass bottle that is now in her hand.
Sanary Rondel      Well, that was one way of getting things started. Sanary backs up steadily as that fire starts to spread from the Great Fairy, removing the gunaxe from her back and switching the Lightning shells out hastily for Ice shells. "That works. No hard feelings, but a job's a job." Once the healer's out of the water, she channels some of her energy into MORDRED and Krezentia to give them a bit of a jumpstart to their stamina and magic recovery.

Once that's done, she raises her gunaxe and pauses for a moment to stare at that glass bottle in the giant's hand. Confused as she is by the sight of that thing, she doesn't let it occupy her for too long before firing a few blasts of ice at the encroaching flames closest to the group, aiming to halt their advance and give her allies a little more breathing room.
Project MORDRED MORDRED's ablative heat shields can take the fire, at least for a little while. Outer layers designed to handle the heat of re-entry while in combat melt away, as they're suposed to, and leave MORDRED more open to fire-based offenses until he gets the opportunity to reapply them, a slow process. Thrusters firing, he attacks with his blade, a wide-arcing slash augmented with a forwards dash to increase the energy in that razor-thin, large, heavy blade. He aimes for the gut, but he's not particularly picky.
Krezentia Einjager     Fire everywhere, and she's laughing too. And it's true, the false dimension is already starting to crack and ripple under the stress of the attacks. Krezentia doesn't need to last it long, just long enough to subdue the Great Fairy.

Who is now producing a... bottle?

She can worry about that when there isn't so much fire around that Sanary's healing is almost needed. The Magi has no worthwhile defensive spells; she gets singed, and scorched, and then magic closes the injuries. She's a 'robot', but she's also sufficiently close to being organic that healing magic doesn't distinguish.

"So, I take it we aren't the first to try?"

Krezentia's right hand begins glowing, charging up the same weapon she's already used. Her left hand flashes, and unleashes a barrage of green and purple energy bolts towards the Great Fairy, semi-charged shots at best. MORDRED will have to be their muscle for now while she's charging, but she can still support him.
Agahnim      The ice shells do a fine job at taking out a fair amount of the fire, though flames still exist. It at least slows the process of the flames completely filling the room. A glance is given from the Great Fairy towards Sanary, though. And a smirk. This is, certainly, not a comforting thing.

As the knife comes in, she twirls out of the way, her movements graceful through the air. It still hits, though, stabbing into the side of her stomach rather than straight on. Her eyes remain completely focused on Sanary, though.

But, as the charged energy shots come in from Krezentia? The bottle is swung forward. She remains solely focused on Sanary, swinging to hit the shots out of the air. Her timing is off on a number of them, but still. She manages to hit them with the bottle.

     Redirecting them straight at Sanary.

"I think we'll take care of the healer first... And then..."

She turns back, faciing towards MORDRED and his mech again. Her hands hold forward, a massive ball of flame within.

     "Din's Fire~."

The ball is pushed forward, aiming right at the suit.
Sanary Rondel      There's something incredibly disconcerting about the Great Fairy staring straight at Sanary even while she's getting stabbed and shot at. With that distance between them, it does at least give Sanary some time to take the shield off her back and brace it in front of her, still taking potshots at the fire and even a few at the fairy for good measure.

"You've definitely done this before. Good strategy, but-what the hell?" It appears the bottle wasn't just for show! She's not quite sure what's going on at first, but the sight of those energy shots coming back out of the bottle and towards her is enough to give her a better idea of what it's for.

Instead of dodging them like some sort of sane person, she just takes them with the shield head on! She's still knocked back several feet, and the impact from those shots still manages to rattle her arm in several places, but she's still standing!

"So that's how you're gonna do it, eh? Alright... Try and deflect this, then!" Sanary lowers the shield briefly and charges up some magic into her eye, then fires off a brief heat beam! She's not aiming at the Great Fairy, though, and is instead aiming for her legs.
Project MORDRED MORDRED dodges out of the way, well, mostly, the ball of flame still grazes past his Armour's back, causing significant damage to his central thruster, drastically reducing his mobility, though fortunately not completely the maneuvering thrusters will keep him aloft and moving. Like Sanary, he decides to bring the heat. He sheathes his monofilament broadsword and draws the XTE Lancepack, quickly charging up a blast of superheated hydrogen plasma, which is aimed for the Fairy's head.
Krezentia Einjager     That's the first time she's seen someone effectively wield a bottle like a weapon. Well, a shield, in this case. The Magi frowns, refraining from further generic shots for the moment, instead focusing wholly on charging her current weapon up.

    "Bit longer, folks."

The Time Unlimited spell starts falling apart at the seams, sections of the real cave starting to become visible here and there, shining through cracks in the inverted background. At least, Krezentia manages to avoid the Great Fairy's DIRECT attention briefly, even if there's still fire EVERYWHERE. She didn't really expect a 'Great Fairy' to be some sort of powerful fire mage, but apparently they may need to ask Agahnim for more details next time.

    A lot more details, preferably.
Agahnim      The fire does, in fact, hit the Great Fairy's legs. She winces in pain. Thankfully, the leaves on her prove fireproof. Her body? Not so much. Her boots look a bit charred now, and she tries to move into the water below her.

But then, the headshot. The hydrogen plasma strikes her /straight/ in the head, the blast causing her a fair amount of pain. No more laughter. Instead, a loud, horrible scream. She doesn't bleed from the hit. Partially due to the heat, partially due to her body being magical. A light of magic leaks from her face.

There is a sense from this creature, that she is, in fact, a being of pure good and light. Were it but one of these Confederates, she might have had a chance. But against three? It's impossible for her.

She screams out again, the flames moving in all directions in a spiral pattern once again. A fair amount is aimed at all three. It won't be much longer, now. She's going to fall, and quickly at that. In fact, the magical light from her body is slowly vanishing. It is being harnessed into the flame attack, this last burst of Din's Fire.

     These are her death throes.
Sanary Rondel      As unpleasant as those screams are, they still offer Sanary some relief that the battle's almost over. "Just a little more! Don't let up now!" The lack of anything being thrown back at her gives the healer a chance to refocus her energies on pumping more energy into her allies, both to soothe their wounds and transfer some of her own mana to Krezentia directly.

I'll handle the fire. You two finish her!" She doesn't focus solely on just funneling power to MORDRED and Krezentia, of course, as she raises her gunaxe once again. It's not quite clear to her where she should even be aiming at first, but the spiral pattern does start to make sense after a few moments. Once it does, she starts firing volleys of ice blasts in the path of those flames, aiming for quantity over quality to try and stop them in their tracks. If she gets the opportunity to, she'll even squeeze a few out at the Fairy directly (aiming for the legs again).
Project MORDRED If these are her death throes, and MORDRED seems to realize this, it's ever so important to confirm the kill. Guilty conscience be damned, those things can be taken care of later. MORDRED charges his XTE Lancepack as he weathers the flame, lets it harm his Armour, lets the fire heat it up so much his hands are blistering from holding the controls, and then he fires an overcharged blast of superheated plasma. Enough hydrogen plasma to melt through a tank and make it unrecognizeable.
Krezentia Einjager     "Heh. Not laughing anymore about setting us on fire, are we?" Krezentia quips, as Kopie has long since found refuge in the Magi's black vest. Coat. Jacket. The burst of flames this time can't be avoided, and Sanary's regen spell isn't keeping up. Metal is exposed under skin, and reinforced clothes ruined (well, at least, partially ruined, and blackened).

The transfer of mana from Sanary does help the Magi finish charging up though, and she grins, despite the obvious pain. "Anyway, time's up! Too bad you didn't want to cooperate. DIMENSION DESTROYER!"

Her hand clenches, crushing the sphere of magic she'd been building up. The pocket dimension shatters, and what shards of 'glass' are produced spin and rotate in the air around the room like a broken mirror, before all angling themselves at the Great Fairy, a hailstorm of sharp, pointed pieces of reality suddenly converging on her.

They MOSTLY fly around MORDRED's Armour, but she can't guarantee there will be absolutely zero friendly fire. She's trying, though!
Agahnim      The frozen shells do wonders against the flames, keeping it from completely melting through armor. The fairy is soon after hit by the massive plasma blast. Her body is melting apart, magic leaking rapidly from the Great Fairy's form. She cries out yet again, an agonizing sound of pain as her body becomes not much more than melted flesh.

Adn then, the entirity of reality breaks. The shards fly in, cutting apart the Great Fairy from all angles. The melted bits of her are torn apart, into pieces. Even her cry of pain is silenced, as she explodes into a burst of light.

The sense of magic from this fountain is entirely gone.
Sanary Rondel      "Did we... We did it." Sanary pants heavily as she looks upon the nothing left behind by the demise of the Great Fairy, the adrenaline of battle wearing down and fatigue starting to kick in. It's still too early to celebrate yet, however, and the healer keeps directing a steady trickle of energy towards her companions here.

"Alright. Did we need to grab anything before we left or do we just go? Because... Probably better not to stick around here if we don't need to." She takes a moment to readjusting that breathing mask, having lost its white coloration and taking on a dirty brownish color. "It'll be easier if nobody know we were here."
Krezentia Einjager     Bright side: no more fire.
Not so bright side: ... ???

"So... uh... I guess that worked?"

Krezentia glances about. The pond feels... less special? But did it do what Agahnim wanted it to do? Do they even have a way to tell? She has no idea. Sanary brings up a good point too.

"I have no idea. Maybe we should take some of the water? It must have been special or something. Hey, where'd her bottle go, we can fill it up if nobody brought one." She didn't. Maybe MORDRED has something he can stuff full of water in that big Armour of his'?
Agahnim      The bottle is in fact still laying around.

Thankfully it shrank down a fair amount so it is reasonable size.
Project MORDRED MORDRED's Armour is in no position to be doing much of anything beyond 'carefully return to a safe environment and get repairs.' "Ow." He notes as he sets his Armour into autopilot mode and jumps out, looking at his blistered hands. "I really should not be doing what I just did."
Krezentia Einjager     "No? I dunno, you kicked ass there. That sounds like something to do MORE of," Krezentia comments, as she eventually finds the Great Fairy's bottle. Kopie emerges from one of the Magi's pockets, settling onto a shoulder instead.

"I have the strangest urge to get into that bottle, funya~," the fairy says.

Krezentia does not answer, and instead fills the bottle with pond water. She figures Agahnim can sort this mess out. He seemed pretty on the ball about knowing everything. "You going to be able to drive that thing back out or do we need to call a lift?"
Sanary Rondel      "The water... Oh. Definitely want to bring the bottle back. Hell, we can have our more... Smart people take a look at it or something." Sanary laughs lightly and winces, putting her gear back on her... Back. Turning from Krezentia to MORDRED, she nods slowly while directing a little more energy into him. She's even able to focus it on his hands from a distance now!

"You both did great. Doubt I coulda done all of that on my own." There's another laugh, then an awkward cough at the realization that she'd probably be dead right now if that was the case. Glancing at Kopie next, there's another laugh before the healer starts moving towards the exit and keeping her eye out for any incoming fairies or would-be heroes. Better safe than sorry! "That... Could be a little tricky, yeah."
Project MORDRED "It's functional and on autopilot, it'll get back. It's not really in any state to be used as a vehicle, however." As he says this, Glare-NT starts flying off towards the nearest warpgate. "Now I could use a lift, personally."
Sanary Rondel      A look at MORDRED, then at Krezentia, then at MORDRED again. A moment later, Sanary sighs and hunches over a bit while patting the shield on her back. "... Hell with it. Climb on, but watch the corners."

She's feeling rather generous today, isn't she? That shield really does have sharp corners, though. Quite easy to poke an eye out on, even.
