Owner Pose
Pearl     There's a low chaos within Beach City. All over town are flyers posted on every door, wall and telephone pole with a picture of Steven's grinning face. The words "Have you seen this boy?" across the top and the phone number of Steven's House across the bottom. Some of the pictures are of Tiger Millionaire instead.

Of course, everyone in town already knows who Steven is, so all this has accomplished is to make everyone worry. Pearl really needs to get out more.

Currently she's holed up in the beach house, tinkering with a variety of Gem artifacts that she hopes might help locate the other Crystal Gems, and of course Steven. More flyers are in neat stacks on the coffee table, but all the Gem Tech is in disarray on the floor of the living room.
Peridot     Peridot had been on the move. Now that a lot of the located warp pads had finally been repaired, she had sent them on various missions to map them all out. She had found the communications tower last time she had went on one of her expeditions. And though that had put her through some trials and tribulations, having access to the tower ended up being a large boon to her mission.

And so, when Elvisbot reported that it had found the Gem temple. The very nefarious lair of her enemies. Of course she had to check it out. She had seen evidence that Pearl was here, but no Garnet! The fusion was a little too much for Peridot to handle... but between the two of them-- they could handle the Pearl. The temple had one defining geological feature that Peridot remembered. It was next to the ocean. That made it obvious who would serve as her escort on this particular mission.  Jasper was a strong duelist, but when it came to sheer destructive force...

Peridot stood on one side of the warp pad. Her mecha-arm already primed into it's blaster canon mode. A small attachment of robonoids around her feet that were similarly equipped. She looked over to Lapis with a little smirk. "This clod has no idea what terror is about to rain down upon her little world." She took a step towards the warp pad and paused. "They won't be able to call themselves the Crystal Gems after this." She emphasized the plural form of gems by hitting a hard s. "When it's just Garnet, it'll be the Crystal gem!"

She then paused. "Wait... Garnet is a fusion. It'll still be--" Her teeth grit. "Ugh.. you get what I mean." She finished, rubbing her temples. "Let's just go."
Guest Lapis Lazuli     Standing at a dusty warp pad, Lapis looks towards Peridot. Carefully she steps up onto the dusty pad leaving small barefoot tracks on the platform. A small robonoid with the face of Elvis Presley drawn on it in marker perches attentively on the blue gem's shoulder. Purposefully, Lapis steps to the center of the warp pad and turns to look at Peridot. "Peridot, let me go first." There's a small pause, "She won't see us coming staggered."

It's a good plan from that side. Surprise is always the best tactic in any kind of combat scenario. Though it's one Jasper would probably not completely approve of. Of course, with the ocean nearby, Lapis is plenty strong by herself. Her attitude might be different without that advantage.

Once Peridot has stepped off the pad, Lapis makes the connection.

The warp pad at the beach house activates suddely, glowing and connecting to the roof of the temple in a beam of light. Bars of blue light flow down to the pad and assemble finally into Lapis Lazuli. The beam of light disconnects and Lapis settles completely onto the pad. When her eyes open, she steps off the pad and scans the beach house. It's a mess! And organized! At the same time! That's some kind of special talent.

Lapis spots Pearl almost immediately, and there's some urgency in her voice as she approaches. "Peridot is coming!"
Garnet     A lone traveler running by a road towards a town called Beach City if the sign a mile or two back was to believed probably wouldn't catch too much notice if it weren't a she and she was a rather impressive looking lady espcially her nearly perfect square afro. She also drew attention as she was actually not only keeping up with the cars on the road but actually speeding past a few of them.

It'd been a long road home this time as home had moved and Garnet wasn't quite sure how to get back then she passed an intersection stopped and decided to try her luck with guiding her own future. Thus she'd slowly but surely homed in on it this way and that for a couple days while she searched then she saw the sign and decided it was time to get serious about this last stretch of road home!

To say she came in like a freight train wouldn't be inaccurate.

She whizzed by Greg's carwash, cut down a street and hit the board walk in moments, then cruised past Mr Smiley's arcade. Finally she raced past the Big Donut befor skidding to a halt on the beach out in front of the Temple sending a wave of sand into the nearby ocean having missed Lapis' arrival and declaration by a few moments.

She then composed herself and started walking patiently towards the front door.
Pearl     Pearl is currently trying to hook the Wailing Stone into one of Greg's equalizers, a wireless router, and and at least three different Gem Tech gadgets that fortunately don't seem to have Gems of their own. It takes her a moment to realize that the warp pad just activated. When she does, her eyes go wide and she jumps to her feet, pulling her spear out of her Gem and assuming a battle stance.

She looks ready to charge at Lapis until the blue Gem speaks, and she stops dead in her tracks. "Wh-What..!? I thought you hated me!" Her voice is heavy with guilt, but she nods her understanding. "Thank you." She whispers and she focuses her attention on the Warp Pad. "What are you going to do?" She asks Lapis uncertainly
Peridot     Peridot nodded at the instruction. She was eager to not be the first one through.  Fearing an untimely spear to the forehead. And so she waited a few beats, standing on the warp pad. Imagining the destruction taking place on the other end of this warp. Her recent battle with the corrupted cat o nine tails fresh on her mind.

"That should be long enough." She finally states out loud. "This is Peridot, log date 1.02. Commencing strategic destruction of gem home base." She then stepped onto the warp pad with her outfitted Robonoids and activated.

Appearing on the other side, with her blaster raised. She was aimed to the side. She then however turns her blaster towards Pearl. "Ah-HA! There you are, you wretched little fleck of rust." She takes a step off the warp pad. "You have one chance to surrender yourself to the Gem Empire; I demand you take me up on my generous offer before I shatter your gem and spread you to the wind!"

She looked towards Lapis for a moment. "Good job, Lapis. If she makes a single move, we unleash the full fury of our assault!"
Guest Lapis Lazuli     Lapis doesn't move, "There's no time, you've got to --" Then the warp pad activates. Immediately Lapis goes silent as she looks back to the warp pad. Peridot's entrance induces a complete shift in Lapis' demeanor as she steps back a couple steps. The water outside grows in unrest as the rides begin rising. Her mouth hangs open for a second as she watches Peridot make her declaration that the crystal gems surrender.

With her, Lapis joins in. "Surrender, please. Fighting will only make it worse." There's a pleading look for a moment directed towards Pearl, before her expression hardens.

At the same time, Lapis scans the room. Looks at the posters. Pearl is also looking for Steven. So they don't have him. She seems a little crestfallen.
Garnet     Still taking the stairs up to the deck, Garnet doesn't immediately hear what is being said inside or whom exactly is talking but voices inside is a good sign right? She picks up her pace a little bit eager to see Steven, Pearl, and Amethyst believing that they would all be in there. Unfortunately its at about the point Peridot is leveling a blaster at Pearl and congratulating Lapis for helping surround or capture her, either way Garnet is not having any of it.

The three Gems inside would easily hear the sound of the screen on the screen door giving way with a slightly disturbing "screuik'sound as she literally walks through it.

Garnet's each step becomes closer to a bound as she races towards Peridot and Lapis, "Get..." there is a 'dwee-um' sound as her gauntlets materialize, "Away from Pearl and out of Steven's house!!!!" She roars.

Apparently the surprise Homeworld Inavasion has made Garnet a little unhappy as she'd been hoping for something else entirely when she got home.
Pearl     Pearl's eyes sadden for a moment at Peridot's speech, but moreso at Lapis's complete shift. Although she seems to understand that Lapis feels trapped in her situation. Her own expression hardens. There's absolutely nothing either of them could say that would convince her to surrender. She'll protect this place with her life!

"We'll just see about that Peridot! Why don't you just run away like you always do!" She knows she's no match for Lapis, but there's a chance she'll go easy on her, right? Just as she's about to lunge at Peridiot, Garnet comes crashing through the screen, and Pearl lets out a cheer of delight!

"Garnet! Where have you been!? I've been looking everywhere!" She pauses a moment and adds, "Take Peridot down *first*" in a pleading tone, "And be careful! They may know where Steven and Amethyst are!" She leaps into the air and sommersaults onto the Warp Pad, intending to block the most obvious route of escape.
Peridot     Peridot squeaks when she sees Garnet busting through the screen door. Beads of sweat building up on her forehead. "Hwa." She bit her lower lip, taking a small step back. The unfair advantage she once possessed suddenly becoming something more closely resembling an even fight. Peridot hated even fights, preferring to eliminate risk all together.

But Lapis was a power house all her own, and Peridot trusted her. Between the two of them, and their combined back up, the mission wasn't scrubbed just yet. "How very thoughtful!" She grits her teeth. "You just saved me the effort of tracking you down later!" She says with some venom. Internally she was screaming.

As Pearl leapt onto the warp pad, Peridot took a step back. Noticing the paradox of... having her escape cut off, while being commanded to run away. "I-" She raises her arm canon. "Fine! Let's see how you like hot plasma and robonoids!" She raised her other arm, sending  a wave of the canon mounted robonoids towards Garnet. While also sending a blast in Pearls direction.
Guest Lapis Lazuli     Lapis gasps as Garnet bursts in through the door. Immediately she dives to the side get out of the way. At the same time, a wave crests outside that is much larger than the rest. It crashes against the priestess statue and raises the water level almost exclusively around the tower. Hundreds of gallons of water envelope the tower, and start flooding into the house, pouring in through the windows and screen doors.

It seems as though Lapis is threatening to drag the whole structure into the ocean. Could she really do that?

A Pearl and Garnet made of water rise up from the water pooling on the floor and they both take a combat stance. Take it easy on the Crystal Gems? Not a chance.

Water-Garnet materializes a pair of gauntlets and charges forward with a fist drawn, ready to punch the real Garnet in the chest.

Water-Pearl materializes a lance like the real Pearl's. It mouths something wordlessly and takes a combat stance with a rather aggressive expression.
Garnet     "Space." That is the entirety of Garnet's response to Pearl's question of where she's been. Though Garnet instantly changes course so that instead of both of them she's going to bear down entirely upon Peridot. As the robonoids jump into her path upon Peridot's command, Garnet systematically begins trying to knock them away or flat out squash them under powerful blows all the while still closing on Peridot.

While Garnet's fists are giving her reply to Peridot's comment about being thoughtful or maybe it's about how she likes robonoids. But then Lapis begins to fill the place with water and Garnet grits her teeth in irritation. She scans the room quickly as the water dopplegangers begin to take form.

Blocking the attack by putting up her Gauntlets, Garnet gruts before reaching out and trying to grab the water version of herself to Hurl at Lapis. "Pearl!" She yells while fighting, "The wailing stone and Greg's stuff!" She says no more hoping that Pearl get the idea to use Gregs stuff to make the Stone wail like it did when Lapis sent her message.
Pearl     "This again!?" Pearl groans in annoyance as she's confronted with her water clone. She looks overwhemled for a moment, having to dodge both plasma blasts and... herself. but then she gets Garnet's idea, "Brilliant!" She calls back. She slashes her clone's midsection, hoping that will give her the few seconds she needs. "Two can play this game!"

Her Gem glows for a moment and a Holo-Pearl appears in front of Water-Pearl. "Do you wish to engage in Battle!?" It intones. "Advanced Level!" Pearl cries as she leaps across the room towards the wailing stone. If Water-Pearl does anything that might remotely be interpreted as aggressive, Holo-Pearl is certain to attack it.

Soon she lands at the wailing stone and hauls the waterlogged equalizer up off the floor. She drains as much water out of it as she can while she turns a dial on it up to 11 (The 11 has been scribbled on a piece of tape) Then slaps the power button.

The wailing stone starts doing what it does best: Wailing! Loudly! The electronic equipment is also making an unplesant screeching sound and starting to steam and smoke. Do not Operate When Wet!

Amidst the racket Pearl tries to call to Lapis, hopefully without Peridot noticing in the chaos. "Lapis! You don't have to do this! We can protect you from... *Her!*"
Peridot     The robonoids are no match for Garnet. They pepper the area around her with blast, before falling under her might fist and leaving behind a sticky goo residue. Meanwhile, Peridot tracks Pearl. Between the two of them, Peridot thought Pearl was the easier to handle. All she needed to do was keep her busy until Lapis finished Garnet. Then the two of them could handle Pearl. Sound strategy!

"Oh no you don't." She barks before chasing after the white gem. "Release that--" She pauses, as her brows shoot up. "By the diamond. Is that a real wailing stone?" She ask with squinted eyes. Momentarily impressed by the presence of such an old antique gem communication device. Her visor snapping a picture of it for documentation purposes. She made a note to rescue it once they were finished here and-

"AHH MY EARS." She clamped her hands over the side of her head. The stiff fingers not the most effective method of blocking out the droning sound. Fortunately for Lapis, Peridot is too busy trying to drown out sound to listen to anything Pearl says. "What's with you rebel gems and assaulting my senses!"
Guest Lapis Lazuli     The simulacrum of Pearl isn't stupid, but no one knows that. The water mimic floats for a moment with a slash across its midsection. It seems stunned for a moment before it merely repairs itself, and goes after the holo-pearl. Lances cross and it begins just wailing on the holo-pearl with all the grace and quickness Pearl normally embodies. A good distraction.

Lapis gets up from the floor, having previously dived out of the way of Garnet. Just in time for water-mimic Garnet to slam into her from behind. "Oof!" She cries out, as the watermimic slithers into the water, and reconstitutes near Garnet.

Lapis gets back up and gestures at the ground where the water level continues to rise. Another Garnet forms out of the water and forms a pair of gauntlets. Grinding her teeth, she shouts, "Just surrender! You don't unders-AAAH!" This is about when the wailing stone blasts at full volume.

Immediately Lapis doubles over while holding her hands over her eyes and gritting her teeth in a scowl. The watermimics wobble and 'pop!' into puddles of water. At the same time, Lapis' control over the water outside seems to diminish as it begins flooding /out/ of the house instead of in.

Looking up at Pearl, Lapis can just barely make out the words by the movement of her mouth. "You're just like Sunstone! You don't understand!" She shouts back, mostly being drowned out by the cacophany of noise.

Struggling against the noise threatening her control, she manages to control just enough of the water to sweep Peridot back towards the warp pad. She herself trudges to the pad with her hands still clasping her ears.
Garnet     Garnet is embroiled in a battle with her watery self, if it didn't regenerate so fast she'd have taken care of it a few times over already but she's going to make Lapis use as much focus as possible and not pay attention to Pearl. She takes a good swing to her face and flies back towards the ruined screen door, while her flight is short she notices Peridot chasing after Pearl but trusts Pearl to be able to handle it. Before she lands with a big splash.

Rising back up out of the water, Garnet has a moment to gather herself before water-Garnet is upon her. Then suddenly there is a second one. "Amazing." Garnet deadpans before she takes a fist to her face and a second from the other doppleganger to where on a human a kidney would be.

Being double teamed by herself Garnet is getting rather frustrated as she's barely able to anything besides defend herself even when she scores a couple good hits on the clones they quickly shrug it off and Garnet is right back on the defensive.

"Enough!" She yells as she shoves at the duo just before the pop in front of her as the wailing stone roars to life. Garnet catches her balance before she falls and lets out a little sigh of relief despite the deafening racket being released from the stone. She then rushes towards Lapis and Peridot from the look on her face if they don't leave /NOW/ they might be lucky if all she does is poof them.
Pearl     Pearl is frantically trying to shake more water out of Greg's equalizer, It's going to short out any moment and that'll be the end of their Lapis-Damper. "That's what you get when you mess with the Crystal Gems!" she shouts with as much confidence as she can muster. Please oh please let them warp out before the wailing stone goes quiet! She tries to lock eyes with Lapis once more, trying to let her know she's trying to understand, maybe?
Peridot     "Oof!" Peridot is swept away by the water, eventually finding herself on the warp pad. "Huh?" She gasp as she realizes where she is.  Her metal limbs clanking on the gem pavement. Squinting as she looks up at the enraged Garnet. And then looking to Lapis. The mission wasn't a complete waste, but when given a fight or flight response...

As Pearl shouts her taunt, Peridot grimaces. She can't let her get away with that! Then an idea forms. A cruel idea that would take the wind from their sails and serve her purposes. "Lapis." She shouts, pushing herself back up to her feet and charging another blast. "Tactical fall back." Retreat. "I know an easier way to do this." She waited for Lapis to get onto the warp pad with her.

As one of the various flyers for the missing Steven drift by her on the water. She turns her attention to Pearl and Garnet.  Gem war 101. When you know what the enemy wants, you control the enemy. It was time to bait her trap. She snatches the poster and held it into the air defiantly.   "You can give up on this ridiculous search. I have the Steven and his Quartz gem in my custody. Locked away!" She lied.

"We'll send you the terms of your surrender when we're good and ready, Clods." She finishes, and activates the pad, warping her and Lapis out of the Beach House in a dissipation of steam and smoke. The two crystal gems were alone together once more.
Garnet     As Lapis and Peridot make their way to the warp pad, Garnet closes in gauntlets reared back if they are still there when she gets there they're likely to be hit harder than they've ever been in their entire lives. Then Peridot taunts them with the information she has Steven, this Garnet will not let lie she is going to crush the smug Gem before she can get anywhere close to Steven and then in a flash they are gone. Garnet stands there forzen in the pose ready to smash as the warp light clears.

She slowly relaxes into a more natural pose, "If you hurt him, you're going to regret it." She says quietly while clenching her gauntleted fist.

Then she turns her head slightly towards her fellow Crystal Gem, "Pearl..." She says in a half yell, "Turn it off." The stone's racket makes it hard to think especially given how grating the screech it's making is.

Once the sound is gone Garnet let's out a big sigh and for a moment enjoys the quiet and the first real sensation of relaxation she's allowed herself since she's been in the multiverse. "I'm glad you're alright Pearl."
Pearl     Right on queue, the equalizer lets out an ozone scented hiss and far too much smoke, right as the Homeworld Gems warp out, and the wasiling stone goes quiet. "Oh dear, I seem to be breaking alot of Greg's things lately." Pearl says with a sigh, though there's a good deal of relief in there too. She lets it fall to the floor and turns to her long lost comrade. "Garnet! What just happened!? I've been trying to find you for weeks!" She actually launches herself at the taller woman and hugs her, quite a rare thing for Pearl to do.

"I'm fine.. mostly. Are you alright? Do you know where Steven and Amethyst are!? Please tell me that horrible Peridot was lying!" She pleads. "There's this.. thing. On the other side of the beach. I think it leads to some other world. It appeared right when everyone vanished!"
Garnet     Garnet shakes her head as the equalizer dies but is definitely relieved the sound stopped. As Pearl rushes over and hugs her, Garnet lets her gauntlets disappear and gently pats Pearl while returning her hug. "We were on the beach and the next thing I knew I was in space." She lets the hug last until Pearl seems more confident and then lets go of the other Gem.

"I don't know for sure where they are and it is possible she has Steven." Garnet frowns at the last statement, "We'll see what the Union knows soon." She nods at what Pearl says about something that leads to another world, "We're in the multiverse now." She looks around on her person and finds the pamphlet she got while she registered with the Union, "This might help, explain a few thing." The little folded sheet of paper is labeled 'In the Multivers Now'.

Garnet is doing 'awesome' at explaining herself.
Pearl     Pearl rolls her eyes, but she's used to Garnet acting like this, "Right. Thanks." She says with a note of irritation and letting the other Gem go. She sits on the water logged couch and looks the pamphlet over. Her eyes go wide at several different parts.

"I need time to take all this in." She says in disbelief, looking back up at Garnet. "The important thing is you're back! If you're here then the others can't be too far away! We need to start looking for them. Maybe I should get the house in order while we come up with a plan."
Garnet     Garnet takes the opposite end of the couch from Pearl but isn't nearly as careful as she flops into it thus her seating is paired with a slight gush of water from the cushion and a mild splashing sound. She then sits silently in contemplation while Pearl scans the little pamphlet. She take a moment to scan the room and all the water damage that'd been done to it by Lapis' control of water they'd have to plan for that when dealing with the Homeworld Gems.

Tilting her head slightly towards Pearl, "You'll get there." Garnet puts her hand on the other Gem's shoulder as encouragement before folding her hands behind her head and leaning back into her seat with another unsettling squish and gush of water. "We'll find them..." She then adds after a moment of silence, "Eventually."

For her part, Garnet sits there lost in thought. While she doesn't explicitly offer to help Pearl clean up she will help if asked.
Pearl     "You seem to be taking this awful well!" Pearl says as she accusingly waves the pamplet at Garnet. "It still doesn't explain how we got seperated! According to this most worlds ..unify? All at once!" She stands back up, moving in a way that suggests she wants to start pacing about nervously. Fortunately there's work to be done!

Pearl darts to a nearby closet to retrive a mop which she uses to start pushing the water out the front door. As she does, several Holo-Pearls appear with identical mops and start doing the same thing in various places around the house. Even with the extra hands, she'd appreciate Garnet's help, but isn't asking for it directly.
Garnet     Garnet just shrugs at the accusational tone, "I had time to think about it." No further explanation give on that topic but she nods about everything coming into the multiverse at once, "It doesn't all have to be in the same place." She looks up at the ceiling, "It's also really big." Garnet's gaze then goes to Pearl as it seems she's winding up to pace only to move to start cleaning.

Garnet continues to sit and watch Pearl and the Holo-Pearls clean the floor before deciding to help. She picks up a cushion of the couch and proceeds to squeeze it into tiny ball that fits between the palms of her hands this of course sends water blasting all around the room.

If she's not stopped she'll put down the cushion convinced of its dryness and proceed to do the same thing to the next one.
Pearl "I don't know what I'd do if I lost Steven." Pearl worries, "What would Rose think of me!?" The Holo-Pearls all silently mimick Pearl's worried expressions as they continue to clean up the water. She's about to say something else that amounts to more worrying and self pity when she's splashed with more water from the couch cushion, which snaps her out of it.

"Maybe you could do that outside?" She says as she shoots Garnet an irritated look. "We have to find out of Peridot was lying or not! and then... I don't know... you know this Multiverse better than I do."
Garnet     "We'll find him." Garnet doesn't bring up the fact he might be in Peridot and Lapis' hands at this very moment, however. She looks up as Pearl says to take it outside for the next one and she puts the cushion back on the couch. Standing back up she walks to the front door and tears the mangled frame of the screen door free and tosses it out to throw away later then she goes and grabs the couch to haul it outside to get the water out of it.

Garnet keeps a straight face but let's out a tiny sigh while carrying the couch out, leave it to Pearl to go to the unhappy thoughts on her own. "We'll ask the Union what they know." Garnet says helpfully while tilting the couch to fit it through the door. "Then if Peridot does have him, we'll go get him." She offers Pearl some hope of swift resolution.

Clearing the door she sets the couch down and grabs the next cushion to squeeze it dry in yet another massive blast of water. "Are the rest of Steven's things alright?" Asked moments before yet another blast of water Garnet then pauses and stares in thought at the couch having finished with the cushions how to get the water out of the rest of it...
Pearl Pearl looks like she's about to scold Garnet for breaking the screen door, but it was already broken. And it's certainly not the first time the house has been wrecked, so she lets it go. "Alright." She nods deciding to trust in Garnet's certainty until she's given a reason not to.

AS she's mopping she comes across a soaked teddy bear, picks it up and starts wringing it out. It's Master of Ceremonies Bear Bear but Pearl likely doesn't keep track of the names. "This little guy got a bit wet, but it's nothing a ride in the dryer can't fix." She remarks with a small smile. "The rest of his things are upstairs, so they should be alright." She nods, "The Temple's still intact and there's been an unusual lack of Gem activity since the battle on the beach."

As the floor starts to get drier she replaces the now only slightly damp couch cushions and sits down again, letting the Holo-Pearls finish up. "Tell me about the Union. Who or what are they?"
Garnet     Garnet gets an idea, she picks up the 'dry' cushions and puts them to the side before she squeezes as much water from the rest of the padding as she can. She then picks it up and much like a dog with a chew toy in its mouth vigorusly shakes the it around in the air letting the water fly from it and kind of air dry the whole thing...the couch creaks in protest at this treatment however.

The 'drying' accomplished, Garnet returns the couch inside and drops the stack of cushions on it satisfied her job was finished. "Good. MC Bear is important." Garnet takes a quick peak at the refrigerator while she says that. She nods to herself seeing that it'd made it through unharmed its plug having been higher up than most human built homes would've put it. A quick run through of the kitchen and all seems well to her before she makes her way back to the couch with smile before seating herself again, "So why'd you have all of that here?" She asks pointing at the assorted Gem Tech and Greg's equipment.

"From what I understand, they're one of the two big groups that operate in the multiverse." She leans back into her seat, "They seem more in line with Crystal Gem views so I joined." She pauses, "It also seems Peridot at least is part of the other group, the Confederacy. That probably tells you about them."

Again a long pause, "Need to know more?" She tilts her head towards Pearl seeing if the other Gem might want to know more about the Union.
Pearl     "Well that's one way to get it dry." Pearl remarks with a nervous laugh, though she's also rather impressed too. As she returns to the couch she motions to all the junk on the floor, "I was trying to find a way to broadcast a message that you and Amethyst would understand but be nonsense to Peridot and any other Homeworld Gems. Basically saying I'm still here and please come home if you can hear this." She also needed something to keep her busy so she wouldn't freak out at her situation, but that should be obvious without being said.

"I trust your judgment. and the fact that Peridot's in the *other* group speaks volumes!" She says arrogantly. "THis is all still new to me. I'm not sure what to ask, but how can The Union help us find our friends and what do they want in return?"
Garnet     Garnet just lightly chuckles at Pearl's nervous amusement of how she dryed the couch. "Not a bad idea." While her tone is flat as usual it's still direct praise. She tried to use future vision to see if it'd help bring Amethyst and Steven home any sooner but the sheer number of possibilities in the Multiverse made it frustratingly unclear what may or may not lead to them getting home. Not that Garnet was going to tell Pearl that part.

Another nod is Garnet's response to Pearl though once she asks what the Union wants in return, "Our help." Is her first vague answer but for once she continues, "Protecting those that can't protect themselves and helping out those that need it when we can. It might involve us in non Gem business but they have tons of members and lots of resources which they'll use to help us."
Pearl     Pearl blushes a bit at Garnet's approval. It's exactly the kind of thing she needs to hear right now. And she brightens up as Garnet further explains the Union. "That's pretty much what we do anyway isn't it? Just on a larger scale. It sounds like a fair trade to me." Left unsaid is the fact that she knows Rose would approve, which is the filter she runs all her decisions through.

"I saw something in the Pamplet about tuning into their communication frequencies. I ought to get to work on figuring that out." There's hope in her voice now as fining the other gems seems to be getting closer to reality.
Garnet     "Pretty much." Garnet agrees. That settled without issue, Garnet allows herself to relax it'd been a long trip and there was still things to get done, but being here after her time in space was comforting. She then nods about getting something together to handle their communications with the Union. Again she goes back to relaxing before she sits up straighter, "Maybe a video..." It's not directed at Pearl more of Garnet musing out loud.

Able to relax and the comfort of being home, the perfect situation after weeks of having to concentrate while waiting for the exact moment she saw in her vision...Garnet makes the executive decision to give herself the night off and falls asleep right there on the couch sitting up perfectly straight.
