Fayt Ravus      Eariler...

<X-Union-Chatter> A Red Saber says, "Sir Supply Officer! Clearly I must pay you another visit!"
<X-Union-Chatter> 6 Fayt Ravus says, "...I'm going to go barricade the door now."

    Now...

As it just so happens, Fayt isn't kidding, currently at his office in hte Dragon's Nest, Fayt has in fact made a crude barricade against the door using whatever he could find. At this very moment, he's finishing pushing hte last piece into place; his very heavy wooden desk. As he shoves it into place, he leans against it, breathing heavily. "There, a bit overkill maybe but... desprate times."
Nero      Now, Saber could have remained in spirit form and snuck her way in...but that would imply that she had done something wrong!

Which is of course, /not/ the case.

And so, the blonde woman comes strolling right into the Dragon's Nest in full view. With hands on her hips and a wide, proud smile on her face, Saber struts as if she were naturally the owner of the place. And this time, she went right over to where she assumed Fayt's office was.

"Sir Supply Officer! I have arrived as promised! Now, appear before me and let us commence with another round of rousing instruction!

     Rousing instruction?

The Servant approached the door, and attempted to open it...
Xiaomu "Now how are we supposed to play cards when every flat surface except the floor is part of that barricade?" Xiaomu wonders, sitting against a now relatively-bare wall. "But I gotta hand it to you, that was pretty fast and thorough work on the barricade. I didn't think you'd go out and raid the duct tape supplies too. I would've helped but you were having so much fun -"

Queue Red Saber at the outside of the office door.

Xiaomu glances at the barricade. "Just in time, too," says the sage fox, her playful tone giving way to a more serious nature - but that doesn't stop her from shuffling the deck she brought. She's even got a portable rack of poker chips, a hanafuda deck, a box of mahjong tiles ... looks like her love of games isn't limited to the computerized sort.
Reina Kinney     Since the door was barricaded, Reina couldn't just walk in and say hello. She needed another way of getting in. Fortunately, her shuttle had a teleporter built into it, and she set the coordinates to be inside the Dragon's Den, so she wouldn't have to worry about getting in and out. Once she arrives, she looks around and surveys the general area for a moment. Then she stands attentively and looks around almost like she's expecting something to happen at any moment. She glances to Xiaomu and scowls a little. "There's more to this than just gaming, you know." Apparently, she doesn't know just how serious this thing is. "We're here on official duty, you know. There's a reason the door is barricaded."

As if on cue, the voice is heard outside of the door. "See what I mean? I wonder if I'm on some kind of hidden cue or something?" She says sarcastically. "Point is, it looks like our anticipated guest is here..."
Fayt Ravus     Fayt reacts to the sudden presense of Xiaomu and Reina in the room in the msot calm and composed matter he can manage.

    "GAH!" THUMP! CRASH!

Which is to say he jumps up, slams inot the barricade he just made, then topples over backwards, landing spralwed out on his back. "H-how... I blocked the door." Not that blocking hte door could stop an elite but still...
Xiaomu "I was on my way over to see you," Xiaomu explains, holding up an envelope which Fayt should recognize pretty well - the same sort she usually drops in the mail (or sometimes delivers in person) to pay her bill to Black Dragon Shipping. "And when I heard you were going to barricade yourself in your office, I figured I oughta bring something to help pass the time until Saber Red out there goes away. I got here while you were busy bringing in duct tape and some extra furniture."

The sage fox gets to her feet, smiling lazily at Reina. "Official duty doesn't mean we have to stand around getting bored while we wait for her to leave, right? That's the big thing with sieges, you have to pass the time somehow."
Nero      There is no direct response to her, but she can hear a GAH and a crash inside the room.

"Sir Supply Officer! Are you truly being beset by nefarious villains!?" She demanded dramatically, her eyes widening. "Fear not! I, Emperor Saber, the mightiest Servant, shall appear before you in a flash!"

From inside the room, they may have been able to hear the telltale sign of a FWOOSH of flame and the clank of a metal blade. "Stand back! I shall blow through all in an instant! "Laus Saint-"

Saber reared back, Prana, flame, and rose petals gather around her.

...Fayt was going to lose his door and his barricade soon if this wasn't corrected.
Reina Kinney     "To be perfectly honest," Reina says in a matter-of-fact tone, which would sound very sarcastic to those who don't know her very well, "I'd wanted to talk to you about getting some things shipped, when I found out your door was being barricaded. I hated to do it, but I was forced to teleport here from my shuttle." She runs a hand through her ponytail. "I'm sorry to sneak in like that, but given the situation of having a barricaded door, I suspected you might need assistance."

A pause as Reina listens to what's said outside. "And speaking of the barricade, it sounds like they've got some kind of secret technique or weapon or something." She looks around. "Anyone got any ideas?" She grits her teeth, though it's more out of frustration than anxiety.
Fayt Ravus     Fayt lays there, staring up at the cealing. "I see..." is all he can say ot xiaomu and Reina. That is untill Saber speaks up again. Like a shot the little guy stands up again, charging at hte barriacde as eh frantically pulls at the desk, trying ot quickly tear down the barricade he just made "Nononononono stopstopstopstop STOP! WE're ok, stop whatever you're doing!"

Is she even going to listen at this point?
Xiaomu Xiaomu's ears perk up very noticeably as she hears Saber Red: Imperial Form preparing to obliterate the door and whatever's behind it - which would include Fayt, possibly Reina, and quite probably Xiaomu herself. She can only really think of one fast way to shut down Saber's attack in a hurry ...

"WE SURRENDER!!!" she shouts at the absolute top of her lungs.

If THAT doesn't do it, nothing will, but Xiaomu keeps shouting (at slightly lower volume), "Fayt was never in any danger from us, Your Imperial Majesty, but please withhold from attacking; you would put all our lives at risk, including that of Fayt himself, our most deeply honored host!"
Reina Kinney     Once Xiaomu speaks up, Reina joins in. "Stop it at once! We're not going to cause any problems! Just stop it, for Falz's sake!" She usually doesn't like to curse, but in a situation like this, a little Gurhalian profanity helps to drive the point home. "Just stop trying to break the door down!" She now looks genuinely terrified, her fingers ready to snap and materialize a weapon if need be.
Nero      "-Claudius!"

'Nononononono stopstopstopstop STOP! We're ok, stop whatever you're doing!'

Eh? Stop? TOO LATE. Saber failed her first pull back check and went all in with a full swing as she dashed forward, blade covered in a torrent of flame.

'WE SURRENDER!' 'Just stop trying to break the door down!'

That gave her pause. Literally just as Aestus Estus was about to cleave through the door and continue onward. "...Oh?" She lifted the sword back, flames extinguishing slightly. "So you are not the nefarious villains Sir Supply Officer spoke of on the radio?" No Saber, you are the nefarious villain.

Lowering her weapon and dispelling it, she tried the door again. "But then why is the door blocked? Have these villains yet to come?" Apparently it still didn't cross her mind that this barricade was for /her/ either.
Fayt Ravus     There's a loud gasp as Fayt sort of... deflates slumping back to the floor. He's safe for the moment.

The problem now being that he'd rather not Tell Saber the barricade is for her. "Um, no, not yet. Tell you what? I've got plenty of help in here, and it'd take awhile to pull this thing down. I'm pretty sure you don't have any other way in here and there'sno point in you hanging around outside, so why don't you just go for now and I'll let you know when we've dealt with them? We can deal with my best problem later, alright?" Hopefully that works. Something in there has to work.

    Plese gods let it work?
Xiaomu As for Xiaomu, she practically wilts in relief at Emperor Saber finally backing off. "Yeah, it's okay, Saber," she calls through the barricade. "We actually came to help Fayt deal with those nefarious villains, and we've got tactics that should drive them off with minimal collateral damage."

She'd say more, or she'd try to, but she's not quite sure how to word it that wouldn't bring Saber trying to kick down the door again.
Reina Kinney     "Yeah, look, just chill out, OK?" Reina says, once things seem to calm down a little outside. "We're not here to hurt anyone. We're here to help Fayt, and frankly, I don't think we need you adding a broken door to the list of things he needs help with." She places her hands on her hips. "So maybe you'd like to reconsider your violent attempt at making entry?" Still sarcastic sounding, but she's just annoyed.
Nero      "......"

Saber rested her hands against her hips, only vaguely hearing what was said as she focused more on staring upwards and thinking about she should do. "Hmmm...."

And she thought more. They sounded quite firm in their assurance that they needed no assistance, and that they would be okay. After a more more moments of thought, Saber nodded to herself.

"Very well! I shall leave the defense of this base to you. I will take my leave for now." She turned away from the door, about to walk off, but added one more thing. "Ah, but Sir Supply Officer! I will return another day!" And then she shifted to spirit form, vanishing in a burst of magic particles, and presumably made her exit.

     Well...partial mission success?
Fayt Ravus     Cue a sigh of relief from Fayt. "if we're lucky, she doesn't try actively seeking out 'villians' for us." slowly, he stands up, looking at Xiaomu and Reina. "thanks for the help. Did you guys seriously need to sneak in however? I swear you're doing it just ot mess with me."
Xiaomu "It's not like I meant to *sneak* in," Xiaomu points out, somewhat defensively. "You don't want me on your ships, fine, but I can walk into your business office instead of dropping an envelope in the mail, right? And on that note -"

With a flourish, she holds out the payment envelope to Fayt, waiting for him to take it.
Reina Kinney     Nodding a little, Reina hands Fayt a small card as well. This one has a listing of some things she needs transported. "It's nothing major or dangerous. It's just that the GUARDIANS don't like me using my shuttle for non-essential travel too often. After all, the fuel is expensive..." She sighs and rolls her eyes upwards a little. "I had no idea this was going to happen though."
Fayt Ravus     Fayt blinks as he accepts the envlope and list. "Erm... right." He looks yo Reina "I'll get a ship on it." Then to Xiaomu. "Thank you." He thenk looks behind himself at the barricade. "so... I think we survived.... either of you willing to help me put my stuff back?"
Reina Kinney     Nodding a little, Reina rushes over to start help placing things back in order. She does it rather slowly, one item at a time, while trying to move things in accordance to how they'd best be placed and if anything belongs on top of other things. "I'm glad things didn't get violent, otherwise I can't imagine how bad it would be in here." She continues to help straighten up, wanting to help out in any way she can.
Xiaomu "I can help with that, sure," Xiaomu agrees, and sets to work helping put Fayt's office back the way it was without further complaining.

... well, almost without. She occasionally mutters something about 'Reiji oughta be doing this lifting,' but it's kind of half-hearted; she's the one who's here, Reiji isn't, she's the one who gets to help out. Plus, she was watching enough to see where a lot of the barricade's components were to start with, so she knows where to put things away.
Fayt Ravus     It doesn't take long to get the office back to normal. The wort of it probably being getting The desk pushed back into place. "Thanks for the help guys. Now just one last thing? If Saber asks? It was a false alarm, nobody showed up, wer'e perfectly safe and there's no need for her to go barging in here? Ok?"

Granted, she'll still likely get to him eventually, but for now at least? He's safe.
