Ruby Rose Ruby Rose had seriously no idea what she'd find as she went through a few of the warp gates. She wasn't much of a traveler yet in Remnant, primarily visiting both Patch and Vale. So the idea of going someplace else that didn't have a Grimm infestation waiting was kind of exciting. She finally walks through the last portal and her eyes go wide with so much awe, it was borderline on shock. Her cape billwos behind her as she simply stares a tthe massiveness of this base, it being utterly unlike anything she'd ever seen before.

"Whoa....this is...way bigger than Vale..."
Yuna Kagurazaka Technically, Yuna didn't need to come back to Njorun Station just to file a report on the previous night's incident on Afterus, but any excuse is a good one to meet up with friends, new or established. And she'll get to see some of both, from the sound of things. (Plus, socializing and showing one of the new girls around means she's got a perfectly valid excuse not to hurry up about the report.)

When Yuna emerges from the warpgate into the Central Plaza, she's in her cool-weather civilian attire - although she could probably have stayed in her Light Suit and hardly drawn any attention. The little robo-faerie, Elner, emerges just behind Yuna, flitting along next to her right shoulder for the most part.

Stepping out of the warpgate's emergency range, Yuna takes a moment to stretch, breathing in a lungful of the fresh air - air which is circulated, she's sure, by the very tree that Njorun Station is comprised of. She rarely takes the time to explore and enjoy the Union's headquarters, and this is a chance to see it through someone else's eyes, in a way.

Then she notices Ruby, and the blonde girl smiles, waving. "Hi!" she calls out, walking over to where the dark-haired girl in the red cloak is standing. "You're Ruby, right? I'm Yuna, this is Elner." Smiling brightly, Yuna offers a handshake to the girl from Remnant.
Zephyr Windstar     "Kinda impressive, ain't it?" comes a voice from somewhere overhead. Anyone looking up at that point would see the teenage Mage floating slowly down on a quartet of purple 'pixie wings', which extinguish as soon as boots hit ground. "You must be Ruby." she says to the girl, then waves over to Yuna. "Heya!"
Sakura Kinomoto     Zephyr isn't the only Mage in the area who can fly! Sakura comes swooping in from above, doing a twirl in the air and landing in an almost dance-like display of grace. The absolute show-off. Her wings burst into rainbow-coloured feathers than promptly disintegrate into the air.

"...Man, lotta magic around the warp gates for some reason," she comments idly. She's currently dressed in cold weather civilian clothes as well - a pink hoodie and pale blue jeans, with sneakers covering her feet. The sneakers are, of course, also pink. Her hair is kept in place with a cherry blossom hair clip.
Cirra Constantine     "It is, rather extreme." Cirra says from aside the warp gate entrance. She's wearing her Alexander academy uniform as she leans against a wall. "It completely blows the scale of anything else out of proportion."
Ruby Rose Ruby Rose can't help but be completely awestruck at the sight of Njorun in all of it's glory, the girl sliding a hand into her pocket for her smart phone, pulling it up without looking at it in a steady manner...and taking a picture of what she sees.

"Yang is totally going to FLIP when she sees this!"

It's immediately after that when the other girls all appear around...besides..and even above her. Normally she might back away from so many people randomly greeting her at once but Yang DID say to try to meet some more people.

And here totally are more people. So many people.

She composes herself before offering a wave towards them all, looking up towards Yuna initially and taking her hand to shake it. "Yep! That's me, Ruby Rose, new student to Beacon and...really new to this multiverse thing. If all the places are like this, I really could get lost. I totally see why you guys suggested I should get a guide or something. It's...it's nice to meet everyone."

The others get various looks, in particular the two flying ones, but she seems friendly none-the-less.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Yang?" Yuna echoes, raising her eyebrows slightly. "Yang Xiao Long was on the radio earlier, is that who you meant?" Possibly it shouldn't surprise her that two new arrivals so close together would be connected, but still - a bit of a surprise.

Yuna waves to the other new arrivals - Zephyr, Sakura, and Cirra - as they show up, then turns her attention back to Ruby. "Yeah, Unification and your first steps into the Multiverse can be kind of disconcerting. You're in good company, though; we've all been through the same culture shock, and once you get used to a couple of things you'll meet a lot of new friends."
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr watches Sakura come flying in. "Show off!" she chirps goodnaturedly, grinning at the younger mage before turning back to Ruby. "Been off the radio dealing with stuff for the Bureau, but s'nice to see fresh faces 'round here." she grins a bit. "Name's Zephyr. So now you've got a face to the voice."

A soft chime sounds from the girl's right wrist. <Greetings to you all.> "Oh yeah, that's my Device, Divine Wind."
Sakura Kinomoto     Sakura gives Zephyr a flourishing bow. "If you've got it~" she begins, but doesn't bother to actually finish the cliche. Instead, she turns to regard Ruby! She raises a hand in a sort of half-wave. "Hey. I'm Sakura. I, uh... I've been with the Union for a -while-, so if you ever need a hand..." Shrug. "I know it can be daunting at first."
Cirra Constantine     Cirra nods to the other arrivals, then turns to Ruby again. "I only recently went through what you are, so I thought I could be of some help. The least I can do is answer any questions you might have, but I think Zephyr and Sakura are more experienced with the Union as a whole."
Ruby Rose "Yeah, Yang's my sister. I don't know where she is but I don't think she's seen THIS before."

Getting another glance towards everyone she stops a few technological things she's not aware of, which sends her anxiety through the floor. There we go, common interests! She relaxes considerably as the others introduce themselves.

"Yeah...it looks like it's pretty crazy here but...Uh..let's see, Zephyr, Sakura and...other girl."

She would consider speaking further, but she leans in close to look at the machine on Zephyr's wrist with intense interest.

"Ooooh. It talks! Is it a weapon or...?"
Cirra Constantine     "Cirra." The judge puffs her cheeks. "I was there when you first arrived. Though I Was wearing armor..." she stops when Ruby takes an interest in Divine Wind, and admits a certin curioscity herself.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr grins a bit. "Weapon, ally, friend... calculator." she adds the last bit on in a bit of a deadpan, then takes a step back. "Divine Wind. Set up!"

A practiced motion kips the tiny coin out from the bracer. It spins lazily for a moment, before Zephyr's left hand snatches it out of the air, and she's engulfed in dark purple light. Sounds of metal clanking into place emit from within, before with a flourish, the barrier shatters into motes of light, and Zephyr is standing with her Barrier Jacket on, and her Device in its base Windshear Form, resting across her shoulders.
Sakura Kinomoto     Sakura takes a step or two away from Zephyr as she readies her Magical Girl Transformation, mostly to get out of the way. And so she doesn't get a bunch of magic blasted right in her proverbial eyes. "Man. That never gets old."
Yuna Kagurazaka "Oh, well, if we're transforming and showing off," Yuna smiles wryly. Maybe she should have come in her battlesuit after all. "Elner?"

"If you're sure you want to show off," Elner replies. "Don't ask me to revert you too quickly, though."

There's no more audible invocation than that before a swirl of wind and light rises around Yuna's body, starting at her feet and climbing from there, replacing her civilian clothes with the sleekly armored boots, gauntlets, and leotard that comprise her basic Light Suit. The Matrix Divider materializes as well, and after waffling briefly (while careful not to point it at anyone), Yuna positions her weapon with its tip down. "Sorry if my transformation's not quite as flashy," Yuna says with a wry grin (and a slight blush).

Ruby Rose Ruby Rose 's mouth goes wide at both of the magical girl transformations, watching both of the girls quite closely as they show off their new forms. Unlike some others, she keeps her eyes wide open to take it all in, cooing in awe in just how...amazing this all was. When the light show ends she squeaks with joy over the new looks, the girl practically teleporting over next to Zephyr. Her voice is several octaves higher than it was before as she inspects several parts of her outfit, her voice unable to keep up with her enthusiasm. "OhmygoshOhmygoshOhmyGosh! Lookatyou! WiththeJACKETandtheTAILSandthebootsand...YOUTOTALLYHAVESWORDSNOWTHATISRAD! Oh my god!"

ANd just as quickly as she'd moved to Zephyr, she teleports over behind Yuna and does...much about the same thing. "Aahhhhh! That armorissocool! Andabigbigbigsword! DoesitdoanythingIbetitTOTALLYdoessomethingcoolTELLMETELLMETELLME!"

She then zips back to her previous position before giggling a bit, clearly quite excited about all this. Cirra's voice cuts through to her at that point though, as she sloowly leans over to look at her.

"Oh right! You were there. Sorry, I didn't realize but hey, thanks for helping out with the Grimm! You totally could be a hunter if you went to school for it!"
Sakura Kinomoto     Sakura giggles a bit. "Maan, now I'm jealous. All I have is a key that turns into a wand~ No cool magical girl transformations or anything." She huffs and crosses her arms, before sticking her tongue out at Zephyr.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra hehs at Ruby. "Thank you. But I already go to a school like that. Alexander Academy trains students to be Adventurers, to go through dungeons filled with monsters and treasures." she looks at Zephyr and Yuna, "Most of us aren't that flashy though. Mechanists or Magi-Tech knights maybe."
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr sticks her tongue out at Sakura in return. "You also have what is it, fifty three magical spirits to do stuff for you, plush two familiars, and a shinki?" she shrugs Divine Wind off her shoulder, flourishes it a little before spiking the end-cap into the softer ground nearby, letting it stand on its own.

Divine Wind chimes. <I am an Intelligent Device. I am capable of automatically casting defensive spells to aid my Master. I also act as the primary focus for her magic. It is good to meet you, Miss Rose.> it says, unfazed by Ruby's highspeed monologue.
Yuna Kagurazaka The sudden gushing from Ruby catches Yuna a little bit off-guard, but she recovers quickly, grinning sheepishly. Mental note: Ruby loves weapons. "It's nice to meet someone who *likes* my Light Suit," the blonde magical-girl-paladin admits, "instead of insulting it by saying it shows my body off too much ..."

To be fair, it's mostly enemies in the field who talk about it like that.

"And yeah, the Matrix Divider is as much a rifle as a sword," Yuna continues. Granted, it's not MUCH of a sword to look at - no sharp cutting edges, at least in this form. But then, she isn't focusing her power through it right now, either - and Yuna's generally just as happy to take advantage of the Divider being a blunt instrument, however much that contradicts its name.

"You also have a friend who makes custom costumes for you, don't you, Sakura?" Yuna adds with a grin to the cardmistress. There's that term again that was mentioned earlier on the radio, though ... "Hey, Ruby? What are the 'Grimm' you and Yang were talking about?"
Ruby Rose Ruby Rose 's eyes water as the device speaks to her, leaning over a little bit. A giddy laugh escapes from her as she touches Divine Wind lightly before standing back up. She regains her composure, but it's still clear that she's grinning almost from ear to ear. "That's so cool! Augh! We don't have weapons that talk on Remnant...or...I guess maybe we have robots but they're all like 'Beep-boop-bop' and are only programmed for basic stuff. Though...I guess we have holograms too. Hmm."

She turns then towards Cirra and gives her a thumbs up. "That sounds like fun. I mean, I'll probably do a little bit of that, now more than before...but I've seen you fight. You can do it, I'm sure."

And next comes Yuna, who is met with a look of sympathy. "Oh...Well I think it looks cool and you think it's cool so you should just turn it up and prove them wrong! But hey, rifle-swords are cool. I've got a Sniper Rifle Scythe. Who needs to just worry about melee combat when you can...just...you know. Stick a gun on it. Instant upgrade!"

The next question about the Grimm forces her to cross her arms a little bit, nodding. "Cirra over there has fought them with me the other day. They...look like big scary black animals with bones sticking out of them and these weird masks. They are all over the place in Remnant...and if the other day proves anything, they'll be running around the Multiverse soon."
Sakura Kinomoto     Sakura grins a bit at Zephyr and Yuna. "Oh, yeah. I am totally spoiled and just whining because I don't have literally everything." My, she's self-aware! Or she's just being self-deprecating.

Sakura rubs the back of her head when Ruby describes her weapon. "Scythe? I'd have expected an axe, to go with the whole... Red Riding Hood vibe you're giving off..."
Cirra Constantine     Cirra chuckles a little at Ruby's encouragement. but she nods when the Grimm are mentioned.

"They're powerfull in numbers, but they don't seem perticulary intelligent. If anything they seemed to be driven by rage, at what i couldn't say for certine."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna blushes a little at Ruby's praise, letting the Matrix Divider disappear. "Well, it's the weapon I got when I first became the Savior of Light, so it's not like I've ever had to change it much ... although," she looks at Elner briefly, "then I got powered up and got some different weapons. The original's still kinda my favorite, though - no need to swap weapons if I have to switch between ranged and melee."

The brief explanation of the Grimm prompts a more concerned look to cross Yuna's face. Monsters like that, spreading across the Multiverse? "I should probably come to Remnant and check these monsters out sometime, so I know how effective my weapons are against them." But whatever Yuna was about to add is abruptly interrupted.

By Elner, of all people (or other entities). "Ruby," the robo-faerie inquires, "you said you're a student at a school called Beacon. Would they accept a student of Yuna's age to begin studies there?"

"Elner," Yuna groans. "I'm already taking lessons with Ryudia on top of my idol career ..."
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr huhs. "I might be too old to be goin' back to school, but I'll come visit sometime. It'll be a good stretch, and it'll let the TSAB know how effective our Magic is on these things." she says, folding her arms over her chest.
Ruby Rose Ruby Rose blinks at Sakura's frank assessment over her clothes, tilting a brow upwards. "Red..riding...what? Hey, these clothes are awesome. And pretty. And unique you know? Stand out from the crowd and since we're talking about weapons..." She looks between the girls present and takes a step back from them. She reaches to grab the collapsed hunk of metal on her back and pulls it out in front of herself. With a practiced flip she unfurls it into a massive scythe, spinning it around once to shoulder it like it was a large gun...which it essentially was. Ruby beams preemptively towards one of the highlights of her day; talking about HER weapon.

"Meet the Crescent Rose. It's classified as a High Caliber Sniper Scythe, or HCSS for short. A really cool and really hard to use weapon, but it cleaves through Grimm baddies like butter and it fires bullets capable of punching holes in several of them at once...and I made it myself...and..check this out!"

She flips it again and collapses it into a third, new form; a rather large looking bolt action rifle. She racks the gun once loudly. "If I don't need the scythe and just need to shoot, I can use this rifle form to do just that." She flips it back out into a scythe a second or two later, spinning it around to rest the blade on the ground behind her back. "...I like it as a scythe though. But don't get me wrong, Axes are cool too. There's nothing wrong with using the good ol' classics."

She listens to Cirra and nods towards her. "Yeah...they're attracted to negative emotions and I learned in class the other day that they come in alot of different sizes. I guess the ones we fought were kinda small compared to some that have been found."

She addresses Yuna next, nodding towards her. "See! That's how I feel. Just use a weapon that can do it all. And...be careful if you do that. I'd only go so far out of Vale; you'll see some...sometimes more than that I guess. If you go too deep, you might run into one of the nastier kinds out there." She turns down to look at Elner when she speaks and shrugs. "That'd...be up to the Headmaster. I know you have to be 17 to get in and you'd need a transcript from a combat school...though the Headmaster does make exceptions...sometimes."
Yuna Kagurazaka To be fair, Yuna *was* wondering what kind of weapon Ruby had, and she's not disappointed. She is, in fact, duly impressed; it's an intimidating weapon, and it looks like it would be hard to use effectively. "The recoil from the rifle helps pull the scythe's cutting edge into opponents, right?" she wonders. "How much training and practice does it take to use a weapon like that?"

There's a secondary question lurking in the back of her mind as she asks that, but Yuna dismisses it. Ruby seems WAY too nice to go after anything other than monsters with a scythe like that, and Yuna can't really believe that the younger girl could bring enough killing intent to bear that she would actually WANT to take a human life. So she turns her attention back to the answer to her own question.

"I didn't go to a combat school, just Shiraokadai Girls' Private High School," Yuna says, rubbing the back of her head. "It's mostly a regular high school, although it's called 'The Garden of Young Ladies' for a reason - a lot of upper-class girls go there, it was sort of luck that I got in."

How MUCH luck, even she still has to wonder.
Cirra Constantine     Cirra watches Ruby display Cresent Rose with interest. "You made that?" she huhs softly. "You would make an excellt armor smith, if you ever lost the taste for being a Huntress... though you don't seem like the type to give up that." she hmns and drops her hand to her side, a tarrot card appearing between her fingers which she holds up and flick, in a flash it turns into a crystaline long blade. "This is a Judge Blade. A kind of magical weapon. Mine is a little different-" she flciks the weapon again, and the blade splits in half as the hilt turns into grip, turning it into a something like a rifle.

"Mine can do this because I have something called a sub-Job, which is a second set of skills."
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr blinks, lifts a hand to cover her ear, then sighs. "Gotta head back to HQ... the Ganamede's making final preparations to depart the sector tomorrow." she lifts off the ground, grabbing Divine Wind on the way up, before turning and jetting away, leaving a glowing purple contrail in her wake. "See ya later!" wafts back as the sonic boom dies down.
Ruby Rose Ruby Rose nods towards Yuna's question after drawing her attention away from Zephyr's jet-exit. "Yeah. The Crescent Rose has alot of recoil, but if you just guide it, you can turn the kick-back into more damage and cutting power. It took me...years of practicing to get this good with it. Without my Uncle, I don't think I would have gotten the hang of it but, he's a really good teacher. He uses a scythe too and he is crazy fast with it! And if you haven't been to a combat school, don't worry about it too much; there's a test you can take that'll help you get in if you want; but I hear it's really hard."

She nods rapidly towards Cirra. "At Signal Academy, where I went before Beacon, every student makes their own weapon. So yeah...picked out the metal, the color, the shape...I spent months designing it in advance because I wanted everything to be JUST perfect. And it came out great I think. I know plenty about how to maintain it and they make magazines dedicated to just talking about weaponcrafting...but I don't know anything about Armor crafting."

She leans in to look at Cirra's Blade transform, oooh'ing with praise.

"That's really neat. Sword-guns are always a good mix to have, you know?"
Cirra Constantine     Cirra nods at Ruby and turns the law blade back into a sword. "It's usefull. I also have Law Cards, which let me cast speels to slow down my targets, or create barriers. In more dire circumstantces I can sacrifice my health for a power boost or attacks like the Sanguine Blade I used the other night."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna turns the latest clumps of info over in her head for a bit. She could PROBABLY use some more training in combat, and if Beacon takes students who've designed and constructed their own weapons, then they're probably used to a pretty wide range, from conventional swords and rifles to ... well, High Caliber Sniper Scythes, and whatever Yang uses, and so forth. Something like the Matrix Divider? They can probably help, and it sounds like the Grimm are monsters that she wouldn't feel guilty about helping to battle against.

Which is ESPECIALLY good if there's a chance of Grimm popping up outside of Remnant.

But she'd still have to investigate what kind of time commitment Beacon would require of a 'visiting' student - and it's possible that she's learned enough 'on the job' that Beacon wouldn't be worth the time. Yuna just makes a few more mental notes, and reverts to civilian clothing now that show-and-tell seems to be over. "Testing in without the transcript probably means you have to beat one of the teachers in single combat or something," she jokes. "What kind of classes do they teach at Beacon? It does sound more like a 'college' than a 'high school,' if you have to be seventeen to get in normally."
Ruby Rose Ruby Rose nods towards Cirra's statement before flipping Cresent Rose back into it's storage form and reseating it on her back. "Yeah, I saw that...well I saw the blades come out. Those were kind of scary to be honest, but you almost got the Nevermore's wings. A little deeper and you would have cut them off. That...would have been great but..it might die in Remnant somewhere; we hit it pretty hard."

"Oh...no, I don't think so. But I don't know how well you'd do if you don't have an Aura. Things can hit pretty hard in Remnant and I know alot of people who'd be toast if they didn't have some kind of protection...though I guess regular rmor could work. Beacon does teach some basic classes, but most of it teaches how how to fight, what types of Grimm there are, Aura Training, sparring, training with dust...all sorts of stuff. I guess it's kinda like a college? I got in early, so I guess it kind of doesn't feel like that for me."
Cirra Constantine     Cirra nods but frowns as she finds herself on the opposite end of what happened when Galandia unified. Miscomunication about the nature of the world. "We have defenses too. Even without your 'Aura' we have defense spells, barrier, protect. Galandia has mosnters too, Bugbears, Goblins, Maloboros." She pauses.

"The worst part of Maloboros is the stench though."

"We have a place - part of the world, called Odin. It's a mountain made mostly of metal. But smaller pieces of metal become... animated." she pulls out her phone and swipes through it and turns it to show Ruby a picture of a giant metal skeleton-golem. "We call these Nightmare Golems. They're one of the worst things on Galandia, but they can't leave Odin and you need special rank to enter the area where they are."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna nods. "My parents have been wondering if I'm going to go to college," she admits, sounding kind of sheepish again. "I haven't really been sure whether I should or not - it's not like there's any schools where I can learn more about being the Savior of Light. Ryudia held the role before me, and she's already teaching me what she knows; she was prepared for the duties and title a lot better than I was."

And Ruby's list of subjects at Beacon seems ... well, pretty much specialized for Remnant and for the tasks of fighting Grimm. Probably not something Yuna's going to get as much mileage out of as Ruby or her classmates.
Ruby Rose Ruby Rose leans over to look at Cirra's phone for the picture, looking it over and gasping at it. "Whoa...that's a pretty crazy looking place...and those monsters...well...at least they can't roam around. I hope the Grimm don't cause too many problems for you guys. But at least you guys are strong, you'll handle yourselves. I'll be sure to ask the Headmaster to send over some information on them so that you guys know how to-"

A buzzing eminates from Ruby's skirt pocket. She slides a hand into it and draws out said buzzing object: Her phone. She looks over the screen and taps it a few times, her expression changing to one of mild disappointment. "Darn...I've been out here for so long and I haven't even seen what this place has to offer. I should get going though; it's getting late and I need to get some books back to the library before they close in Vale. It's been nice meeting all of you though!"
Cirra Constantine     "Of course," Cirra says as she puts away her phone, "Sorry to have kept you so long."
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna smiles, "Good meeting you too, Ruby! I'll try and come visit your school soon; have a good trip back!"
Ruby Rose Ruby Rose waves towards the two of them as she slides her phone back in her pocket. "I'll have the radio thing on so if you guys want to ask me anything over that, you can. I'm happy everyone wants to know more about Remnant and I'll try to learn as much as I can so I can tell you guys about it. I should be back in a few days, homework depending. See you guys!"

She smiles towards the two girls before turning from them and walking back through the warpgate she had came through.
