Duet Fortuna     There are many downsides to wearing a mask all the time. One of them is... it's hard to find good medical help, isn't it? Fortunately Duet has her own personal physician, of a sort. Unfortunately, that physician hates her... but what's she going to do?

The request to see Sakura might be a little strange, since Duet hasn't gotten badly hurt or anything. It is serious, though. And, well... at least with Sakura, she can meet her with the mask off, though it's the first time since her 'death' that she'll be showing her face to the mednin. "Come in~"
Sakura Haruno     Other than the hate, everything's okay between them. Though back during her solo days, Duet may have picked up a little bit on Sakura having some slightly odd living habits, it's probably nothing next to actually living here. The medic mostly stays to her room when not working, though that's because of the portal out of the room in truth.

Either way, though, a checkup is easy enough to arrange, and Sakura will oblige happily enough. She's in casual clothing as she knocks on the door, opening it slowly after the invitation in. "...Ready to try this, then? It's always such a pain when I have to keep exams off the books like this." She complains, trying to hide that she's completely tense about it.
Duet Fortuna     Duet makes sure to shut the door... thought maybe she should be called Elliana? Either way, she chuckles, "Sorry about that. It's the best I can do given the situation. Would you believe that I think I'm in a better position than before, regarding medical care?"

She settles down, dressed lightly as she should be. Here, up close, it's pretty easy to notice why she needs these checkups. Aside from the scar over one eye that makes her so distinctive, she has those very slight bestial features here and there. They don't seem quite so bad as the last time, at least. "This is as much for you as for me, Flowers. I know this must be... awkward for you."
Sakura Haruno     "Yes?" Is Flowers' answer to that probably rhetorical question. Whatever else she has in the way of self doubt, she's nothing but sweepingly confident in her own medical skills. "It's my duty to provide medical care to everyone in the office, and I'd have a hard time believing that there are better caregivers than myself and Laine there."

She's professional enough, starting with an examination, not seeming too concerned about the scar at least. The bestial features are a bit trickier.

"..For me, mm?" She'll ask, sounding more detached than she could normally manage around Elliana, or Duet, or whatever she'd like to be called today. Focusing on work does help her. Just ignore the very slight tremble of hands.
Duet Fortuna     "You would be surprised at the quality of care I've seen in the past," Duet notes. "Though finding someone on your level is... well, exceedingly difficult, to say the least. I was referring more to the trustworthiness, though." She spreads fingers to make it easier to see what's going on. Nothing too bad, just a few patches where the skin's turned a little scaly, now healing over, but her nails are considerably tougher than they should be. It's the internals being hyperactive that are probably the bigger interest, even if they don't seem to be harming her with the usual problem of accelerated aging.

"I admit I had an ulterior motive, asking for this," Duet continues after a moment. "I wanted your thoughts on... everything."
Sakura Haruno     "Trustworthiness?" Flowers asks, neutrally. "I'd hope so. I don't break promises lightly, after all." She'll state, frowning as she examines the nails. "..I can really only keep this in check, you know." Comes as a warning. "There are some ointments we can try that will at least help, too. You're going to have a hard time keeping it secret if you end up too scaley."

That indelicate phrasing may or may not be intentional. Her bedside manner's never been the greatest. "What could you want my thoughts for? Or on? Everything is a little bit broad."
Duet Fortuna     "I know," Duet sighs. "I normally wear gloves, so that helps a little bit. It's the downside of keeping what I have inside me there. Though it gets worse if I use Wrathborn's power a lot. I'm hoping that with this cover, I can be weaker without problem, maybe see if it reverts eventually." She glances up. "That's part of why I'm checking in with you, as well."

Duet frowns when asked to clarify. "Well... this situation. You knowing me. I was hoping to get an honest opinion from someone who isn't so... close to it as Nathan and Psyber are."
Sakura Haruno     "If you don't use it, we might be able to reverse it for a time." Sakura agrees, tsking. "I'll see what I can make up in the way of a good ointment for this, particularly. This is something that would be helped more by a lot of small treatments than me trying to fix it all at once." With that, she'll move to the back, starting to check the skin elsewhere for signs of damage.

The further explanation of the question gets quiet for a moment. "It's not exactly like I'm not close to it. I'm worried I'll regret it eventually, of course. And you made me break a different promise by putting me between two of them. You've gotten away.. very easily, in my mind, for what happened."
Duet Fortuna     The only sign over most of her body that is of some concern are the light scar-like marks around Duet's shoulders. Her wings must come out of there... but she uses those very, very rarely. At least they don't seem to be damage in the manner of allowing infection, if she is even susceptible to such things any more.

"I made you break a promise... I'm sorry," Duet says with genuine sincerity. "Psyber knows, now, and understands. So at least you don't have to worry about that. I'm fully aware that I got off lightly, though. That's why I'm trying to do what I can to make amends. Everything I did, I did for the betterment of my world. I won't try to say that I did it the right way though."
Sakura Haruno     "I'm not certain how sorry you should be. The promise I broke was to kill you or die trying." Flowers says, before tsking again at the scars. "You don't seem to be in too terribly bad of shape, at least, here. If you can try to avoid using anything for a little while I can probably get the skin conditions under control."

Sakura doesn't seem terribly aware of the dissonance between her medical talk and the mention of revenge murder. "It is good to know that Psyber knows, though. It's stressful to try and hide too many things from him."
Duet Fortuna     "Ah." Duet tsks. "All right, maybe I will be a little grateful for that. I never wanted to kill you in the first place, and I think we all know my opinion on my own life." She tilts her head, glancing back to offer a wan smile. "I'm grateful that you're so professional anyway, Flowers. It's a great relief, especially with the sort of people in Confederate Medical."

It's not hard to see the slight shudder there.

"Is there anything I can do to make things a little more... bearable?"
Sakura Haruno     Flowers makes a soft humming noise, not responding right away, though she seems to be wrapping up the examination at this point, sliding a notepad out of her pack and making a few loose notes. They won't go on the record, but they'll go in her records.

"I don't know, really. Try not to betray anyone for a few years, maybe?" Those words could be cutting; they're really not spoken in that sort of tone, though. More, Sakura seems utterly uncertain that there is anything that could be done. "If nothing else, I suppose things will be quieter for a while. That can only help."
Duet Fortuna     Readjusting her clothing, Duet turns her head and gives a tiny smirk toward Sakura. "Don't betray anyone? I think I can handle that if it's what you really want. Does this mean I shouldn't drop hints about the current Confederate layout and composition when I can, then? I can certainly avoid that."

Her smile fades, "Though I am sworn to secrecy on some matters, I'm afraid, and my own morals do keep me from directly saying anything."
Sakura Haruno     Sakura doesn't seem particularly worried about that, though. "...I'm not too interested in those sorts of details. Things have changed a little bit for me in recent years, in terms of priorities." What exactly she means by that, she won't get too into. "But others might prefer if you talked about what you can."

Flowers will give a brief glance up at the cieling. "I suppose I wouldn't hate fewer dreams, but I didn't get the impression that's something you could actually do anything about."
Duet Fortuna     Fewer dreams? Duet shoves aside her surprise at the first part, her eyebrow lifting curiously. "What? I... actually, I can dismiss nightmares, but it's not something I can do very often. If that really is something bothering you, I can at least give you a night's rest once in a while. My versatility with these powers has improved since we last talked about them, it's not impossible."
Sakura Haruno     "If it's something you can't do often, then I won't ask it of you. I'm used to them by now." Flowers will admit. "And they're less than they used to be, at least." It wasn't as though Duet hadn't known of Sakura's previous state and all, but it still clearly cost the medic something to even ask, and she seems to be wanting to make a quick exit now. "I'll have lotion ready for you sometime this week, if I can find the right ingrediants quickly. We'll go over it then."
Duet Fortuna     It's obvious Sakura wants to leave, and Duet sighs at that. "All right. Thank you for the attentiveness. I do appreciate it." She says that honestly enough, but who can tell, with her? She's already proven herself to have the ability to lie again. "If you ever absolutely NEED a good night's sleep, though... remember that we are allies now, at least under this roof. Perhaps it will get easier with practice. It's certainly easier to perform on others than in my own head."
Sakura Haruno     "...If I need it, then I will." Sakura had an option for an uninterrupted night's sleep, one she'd inflicted on Nathan once or twice in more vindictive times. It wasn't particularly pleasant, though, so she doesn't resort to it much. "We'll talk more, soon, anyway." Sakura offers, at least a slight olive branch. Even if it's mostly going to be about how often to apply a cream. That said, she'll start to slip out of the room then, attempting to be stealthyish about it in case anyone's watching the traffic in and out of Duet's room.

The attempt mostly just makes her more obvious. Sakura isn't actually good at stealth.
