Kotone Yamakawa Knock off : The Truth

"What happens when we keep replacing every last bit of our selves? Will there be anything left? Am I still who I was before? Is this a new species that is being born? What happens to those left behind...? We have to ask while there still time. What is a human? What is a person."

Unknown Poster on Cyberization Ethic's Forum.

It was a nightmare to be sure, Kotone knew this, she'd never thought things would go off like this. Miho had been kidnapped and who knows. The world was changing rapidly and with multiveral contact? It was speeding up even more. Kotone knew the world could not stop changing, it's life yet? How it was changing could be effected still.

Microtech Solace had been playing with technology that had been banned world wide, for how horrific the results of the early research was. They was no doubt they were messing about with Ghost Dubbing. Akin to the backup process from Rory's world but it destroys the original normally and makes a corrupted copy so here they were. The Ship had been tracked down to where it would be and this would be the time.

It seems that Microtech Solace was planning to gate off Kotone's earth entirely tonight was the night to strike or they might /never/ find them. The ship had been ready for trouble but was it fully ready for people like the Flotilla?

The plan had been worked out some would come by sea and others would beam in from their ships in orbit. Kotone would be one of the ones beaming in the mission was simple in it's set up. Deploy to the ship, rescue any one being held there, and drive that vessels into Japanese waters where a joint force of Ameri Russio Alliance Cyber Crimes law enforcement would be there waiting with Japan's Security sections.

Also any proof they could dig up while capturing the ship would be very useful both governments were keen to crush this given the company operated in both of their nations.

Kotone's ready for a fight she's as armed as she's ever going to be as she makes ready to port down to the ship, it's late while on alert the crew was clearly nearing a shift time. This was the moment to strike she was doing her last checks on the recently upgrade Bluenose.

"Slipbolt keep things ready for beam out if we need it. Rory's ship is the primary medical evac point but we need to be ready."

"Focused: Understood Kotone, I'm standing by and ready good hunting."

Kotone activates her optic Cameo before she beams down on the deck of the ship in the cargo area while it's secure it's late and the beam in might be missed.

The ship is large at least 300 Meters longer and a good 75 wide. It's more of a mobile factory than a ship really and it's late there's drones patrolling about but some are odd and clearly from off world there are Security patrols on deck but something seems a bit odd about them as well. Who knows what else might be waiting aboard the other major way in would be the water intakes and getting in through there... would be easy for some in the Flotilla.

<<I'm ready, Miho hang in there...>>

A note to Rory she might find something disturbingly familiarity about the humanoid personnel on patrol on the surface decks. Their gear the very style of their body

Corona Arclite While the Steamhammer Express was certainly in syncronized orbit over the world with several of the other Flotilla ships and ready should she need a quick depart, Corona opted to not just beam down to the ship deck with Kotone. Instead she came down a safe distance away to approach the ship via water instead. And how is she doing that, one may ask?

By using a steampunk version of a waterbike, that's how. Or what some earthlings would call a 'jetski'.

Except this one isn't jet powered by any means. It was somewhat of a quick jury-rig job after she'd learned they'd be out in the water, but Corona was known for being able to do this sort of thing quickly. A small steam engine provided power, and bulk was kept down by just sucking in sea water, pumping it through the engine's boiler, and then pumping it out again down the side piping to spin the paddlewheel behind the seat to propel the small craft. On the up side, unlike it's contemporary counterparts it makes very little noise, the faint 'thp thp thp' of the wheel slapping water blending in with the water slushing up against the ship's hull as Corona pulls up in the ship's shadow.

Corona stands from the waterbike and shoots one of her grapplers up towards the deck railing. She lifts herself off the watercraft just far enough to kick the activator switch and send it sputtering off again, so she doesn't have to worry about retrieve it later.

Then starts climbing her way up the outside of the ship much like a certain caped crusader scaling the side of a building.
Alexis Maaka     The plan tonight was infiltration, not assault. The team would let the militaries of this world handle the grunt work of sinking this ship when civvies are clear. Alexis Maaka is okay with this, she prefers going in quiet if she has a choice between quiet and loud, not that she's against taking lives.

Her entrance is different from everyone else's; Wheras they teleport, she enters from the depths bellow, using a small submersible to get herself into position. It's unarmed, but its stealth capabilities will do her far better than just a few measily torpedoes against a ship this big.

Her STALKER armor folds and seals itself just as Alexis stops the sub, beginning to affix some diving gear onto her armor when the suit closes up. <Kaz, I'm about to go outside. You at the controls of the sub yet?>

A good few miles away, on a small fishing vessel bought for cheap, Kaz replies promptly. <Copy that, Alexis. I'll bring the sub back to our vessel once you're internal. Good luck in there.>

<Right-o. I'll exfill by the Spectre. See you on the other side, mate.>

Her swim doesn't take any longer than expected, as Alexis takes her time to avoid detection, or bumping into any sort of surprises in the form of depth charges and the like. Her suit's new thruster system gently pushes her along, until she reaches the water intake ports, slipping into the pipe. With hope, she can slip in through that no problem before finding a hatch somewhere to lead her inside...
Rory White     When you're beaming down there really isn't a lot of subtlety involved. She appears in a flash of light, and the same flash deposits a host of a dozen drones of varying kinds. The Six-legged multipurposed drones modeled much like giant ants, save their arrays of sensors and extendable utility/weapon arms make a reappearance. Why exactly Rory's taken a liking to insect-modeled drones... well, there's much to be said about bio-mimicry.

The drones are extremely stable on most surfaces and terrain and quickly set about the business of stealthily seeking positions to ambush the nearest pods with back-mounted riot foam sprayers! Their primary weapons for this venture. It's done quietly.

And this mixture of foam has an added surprise. It's laced with all kinds of weird metal fibers, forming a rudimentary faraday cage that will render victims completely cut off from wireless networks once it hardens!
Staren     Staren meets up with Rory before the mission. One fewer ship to coordinate means, well, one fewer ship to coordinate. When he beams down, he's in his armor, but covered by a chameleon cloak. He doesn't expect to stay stealthed for long, but it's better than nothing, right? And cheap and relatively quick to fab. As a result, he blends in with his surroundings, but becomes a much more noticeable blur if he moves faster than a walk. For now, he scouts ahead for Rory. She's the best hacker in the group, and that's almost certainly how they're going to get access to a map that can tell them where the hostages are.

Staren tries to keep close to walls, sniffing local wireless traffic just in case there is any to see what they have to work with. Scouting with drones would give their positions away through wireless traffic. Staren temporarily puts his implants in mostly-autistic mode, save for directional aimed up at the ships above or at Rory or one of her drones if he has LOS.
Starbound Flotilla     The Core Fleet isn't here in its entirety, of course. Nobody could reasonably expect the entire group to manage stealth. No, today, it's just three: Albert, Seft, and, of course, George. They're in their Durasteel outfits. Seft, the robotic Flotilla member, is wearing full-on medieval knight armor with a soft energized blue glow below the plates on her body, and especially around the eyes. George (just plain human) wears a set of futuristic EVA-combat and exploration armor in a suit that glows a gentle red at the faceplate. Albert the monkey-man is wearing elaborate dystopian commando armor reconstructed with a 'rebel spy' aesthetic: A sleeker faceplate, a slimmer form, and a more chaotic design that integrates thin, resilient plates of durasteel, and lines of bright white. Each has a heavy industrial-yellow two-pronged plasma-cutter-like tool strapped to their side, a Matter Manipulator.

Their teleportation in is subtle and quick. George, at the very least, quickly strips his armor off once it's clear they've not been detected, to take a more natural appearance. If there's crew on this ship, his lightly adaptive industrial-worker jumpsuit should make him look like totally natural at a glance. It's time for them to get to work. George is going to be the primary pointman for this gang; he's not here to focus on getting access to the prisoners, he's here to focus on getting access to the crew. His gloves crackle with stunning electricity. Easiest way to get what they need will be to get access from someone. It's time to prowl: George intends to get in somewhere near the CREW AREAS, where he intends to put his expertise as a spy to use, by mugging someone for their access, stealing some from unoccupied crew facilities, or similar. The others are keeping him covered and attempting to locate the engine facilities. Looks like they have ideas...?
Kotone Yamakawa Alexis is able to get into the ship all right the ship relied on movment and not being known where it was, or prehaps that no one would be insane enough to use the pipes top get into the ship. There's not depth charges waiting for her no weapons it's odd. Either they didn't know what they were doing or didn't care? It was hard to tell though Alexis should be careful who knows what's lurking inside the port. She's able to cut through the mesh and get into the pipes easily enough almost too easy.

Staren and Rory would have the cloacked Kotone with them/ Staren would get some local wireless trafic mostly encripted from the most part, however the rate they are happening at they are likely status check from the security forces over the ship. It's quiet here save fo the sound of the ocean and machinery there's a soft humm.

Kotone's also very quick to put her own body into Autistic mode as well she knows darn well why given what they'd been doing. The back doors that Rory had put in await her use but will they be enough?

<<I owe all you you for your help I'd have been lucky to get out of the meeting at the port alive alone...>>

The Flotilla has come, well half of them have arrived that is, George is going off to go hunting for prey to get a pass card, he'd make it to the crew area but only his logn experiance from sneaking about gets him by. He'll come acrtoss a pair of guards patroling they are not pods like the things on deck, no they re women one, rather pretyt and don't seem heavily agumented in the way borgs native ot this world are, the patrol splits up as they go to cover an area more effectively and this might be a moment for George to make his move.

Albert and SEFT will come across a locker room and they hear someone inside.

"What the hell is up with all these goons? What the hell are they doing and fuck people vanishing? Damn it why did I take this job?"

Crona would be able to move out well enough with the others there's nothing yet. Kotone meanwhile is moving in she's going to start hunting for anyone they have and most imporantly Miho...
Staren     Staren and Kotone are likely looking for the same thing: Some kind of access terminal so they can use the backdoors into the system and get a map. Staren scouts with her, just trying to get anywhere there's likely to be access with noone (or at least as few people as possible) watching that they have to take out first. He leaves a trail of bug-sized drones occasionally that form a line of communication back to Rory, and uses them to scout corners ahead. So far things are quiet, but surely the alarm will be raised soon when those security pods don't check in...

Staren doesn't want to be near their location when that happens. He smirks at a thought: Wouldn't it be funny if people investigating the disturbance run right past him and Kotone, leaving the computers unguarded?

Well, he can hope for it.
Corona Arclite Once she's on the deck Corona ducks down somewhere for cover, and takes a moment to check in with everyone else. A ship this big, they're going to need to space out a bit to cover more ground if the potentially limited amount of time they have before this ship moves out. Well she's more accustomed to giant trains and spacecraft that sailing ships, but a cargo vessel is a cargo vessel, right?

The quick-footed vixen darts off from her lurking spot when she sees a chance, and goes looking for a quick way down into the cargo holds. Like one of the lifts used to move cargo in and out of the ship if it has that sort of thing. It would seem likely, seeing as these guys are in a material business, as crooked as it may be.

Which means the more 'dirty' cargo they can find to pin on these industrial jackasses, the better.
Alexis Maaka     It doesn't take long for Alexis to reach a maintainence hatch, but she's wary about how easy this whole thing was. Then again, this is the best chance they'll get before this ship gets off-world. That can't happen, not with the cargo it's carrying.

She feels about for the latch to open this thing, before she produces a cutting torch to breach the lock. Once that happens, she twists until she can comfortably open the hatch without flooding the lower levels of the ship on accident. Her exit is spine-twisting, but she grits through the discomfort as she makes her way out of the tunnel and into the ship proper.

Activating her cloak, she immediately moves for cover before any guards or maintainence personnel arrive to investigate the noise. Her systems begin a perimeter scan of the immediate area, looking for signals to cyberbrains or other devices she can hack into remotely.
Rory White     Once Rory secures one of the Pods bound, she clears away its access jack and moves to plug into it, force the thing into maintenance mode using some little-known overrides and access its memory. Unless there's an actual EGO in there. this might take her a moment...

But she expects she'll be able to hijack its mesh ID and use its transmissions to spoof her way into the network!
Starbound Flotilla     George is going to focus on keeping low-profile, but only for now. He's far from slow, of course. Heading into more densely populated crew areas, he's hoping to blend in with the workers of the boat, slipping stylishly past the pair of guards with a quick circular workaround that still makes the best possible use of time he can.

"Crew quarters are go. Gonna see what access I can jam."
"Affirming. Search for someone who may work directly with their captives."
"Regretful opposition here. Potential source of information."

Albert and seft each draw their weapons -- smaller silenced sidearms this time -- and enter. "Cautioning. Remain calm. Your worries are being vindicated but you will be safe. Please provide all relevant information concerning the diappearances and unethical activity. Safe egress will be provided in exchange." Seft's no Moonfin, but at least she's got a well-intentioned voice and speaks with noble authority. Albert remains silent; as they enter the locker, he's going to keep his gun up and careful.
Kotone Yamakawa Staren and Kotone would get lucky s they are sneaking about. Staren's drones would hit pay dirt faster than other there's a computer room near by which they might be able to get into. It's locked but there's no one physically inside at this point. It's been locked down at the lest but as Staren had thought there's a few security going by again both female though one might find it odd the clip they are moving at are not normal.

"There's something up, on deck."

"I know! Whose bright idea was to just have pods up there!"

"It's the middle of the night half the staff augmented with synth parts or not they are flats."

The pair keep moving, Staren and Kotone will have to act fast.

Corona meanwhile is on deck and moving about making for the cargo hold at this point, given the materials are there in the cargo hold? Labour machines are scattered about the cargo area most are primitive exo skeletons which seem to have replaced fork lifts here as Corona gets into the hold easily enough.

Alexis meanwhile is making her way in and so far she's not been spotted but there's something moving about down here it's strange the clattering of several legs, and it doesn't sound like it's metal or armour that's moving about down here. She then catches sight of a massive armoured form that's wider than it is high moving down a passage way it looks like a massive crab of some sort. It however is moving with a purpose that suggests someone is indeed home. It's shell is bearing what look to be like unit and military markings of some sort.

(OOC http://tinyurl.com/qaywdbs the thing Alexis has spotted)

Albert and Seft enter into the locker room the worker a young man in his early 20s who seems to have no heavy argumentation save for one arm and the basic jacks. He stares at the pair just staring however his mind seems to be working well enough as his arms go up into the air.

"Hey hey this job ain't worth getting shot over. I knew this was getting strange when the new PMC contract's came in. Some them ain't even humanoid...or human yet they claim they are."

Rory would find she gets into the pod's systems but that's when it gets creepy one there is no one home just a basic AGI that's not even aware she's able to over power it in time but what she finds is the operating system and protocols there within. A name one she should know well.

Direct Action.

Rory is able to get in to the network to do what she needs to do, but just what's going on Direct Action is here.

George is able to get into the depths of the ship but oddly there seems to be a lot less crew than normal it's like they canned, or moved most of the crew before their attempt to move, perhaps they didn't want to deal with dragging this many people bailing it's hard to tell. What he can do is however find some workers who seem to be coming off shift some more of the women guards are going by him give him a look and keep moving.
Corona Arclite Cargo.. machinery.. cargo.. cargo... Looks like these guys were setting out to establish a multiversal market for their... -things-. Weapons, technology, black market goods sure... it's the whole KIDNAPPING CYBORG SLAVE MARKET thing that put Corona's tail in a twist.

Cargo.. cargo.. cargo.. machinery... carg--wait a minute!

Corona backtracks a few steps to look at the 'machine' between two stacks of crates again, and her eyes just go wide.

"Welp.. might need the help getting ev'dence outta here, after all..." Then with a gleeful and possibly slightly unhinged sounding giggle Corona slinks over and starts fiddling with one of the exo skeletons to see if she can figure out how to strap it on and activate it.

Alturistic intentions aside, she just hit the jackpot.
Alexis Maaka     "What..." Alexis reaches down towards the holster at her lower back, hand just about grasping the suppressed P229 she has stored there when she hears scuttling coming her way. Then she actually looks toward the noise, "The fuck." She is really glad her suit is muffling anything she says, because that would've given her away quickly.

She looks around for somewhere to hide, an alcove or something, before the STALKER cloaks her signatures and morphs both color and texture to match the bulkhead as camoflague. If she finds something, she'll be quick to hide and wait things out until she's free to sneak past. Hopefully this Novacrab thing doesn't notice her as it scurries by, though given its size squeezing past might be harder than she'd like.

Hiding there, she will try and cling to the overhead. Her suit's gloves and boots adhere to the hard surface through paramagnetics, allowing her to hide a la your friendly neighborhood wall-crawler.

As much as she can put on a brave face, ALexis' heart is RACING right now, as she remains stone-still.
Staren     Staren finds... a computer room! But it's locked, and they haven't had time to get door access or keycards yet.

Guards are coming. Staren has a moment to make a decision...

Staren removes his chameleon cloak and uses his beam saber to cut out the lock. He motions for Kotone to get in, then... sprays some engineer nanites above the door and hangs his cloak up, displaying an image of a perfectly normal door with an empty room behind it through any windows, the cloak held in place by the engineer nanites attaching one edge to the wall.

Then Staren ducks into the room, and starts helping with the hacking.
Starbound Flotilla     Fewer staff than usual? George is gonna have a tougher time blending, but... Well, he's a master of looking like he's supposed to be here. So many women guards, though what's up with that? Oh well, he thinks, that sort of consideration's above his paygrade. He's going to focus on finding one of those crewmen coming off-duty and mugging them for their access cards. He's looking for sciency types, or people who look like they're in software engineering, or essentially anyone who isn't security and looks like they might be working with access to captured humans to mess with their brains.

Then he's going to subtly tail them until there's an opportune moment, discharge his STUN GLOVES into their side, and then break a few limbs and drag them aside as quick as possible, prioritizing speed over lethality or nonlethality, and focusing on getting THAT ACCESS over anything else.
Starbound Flotilla     Seft and Albert glance at each other knowingly, realizing that they shouldn't show that Albert is nonhuman. "Affirming. It is not worth being shot for, and I provide our guarantee that we do not wish for you to be shot. Please provide direction to engine areas and all relevant information pertaining to accessing software development areas." 'Software' development. They're figuring that, from the outside, the dubbing facilities are probably ostensibly software. Albert does his best to look like a human, of course, or rather like the commander of some sort of especially unusual droid combatant, and focuses on keeping the area secure.
Rory White     YES! She's in. The AI proves to be pitiably easy to hijack and she uses its authentication to break in easily enough. What she's after is security network footage. Covering up her allies' activities is one aspect of that. Another?

    Is locating their hostages!

Rory's content to remain on deck, using the wireless network to her advantage as always. Why start running around the ship when she can instead SUBVERT THE SHIP using its own systems, after all?

So she begins probing for several systems and services she can hijack.

Particularly... the fruits of some prior labors. If she can connect to THAT, the ship will be hers! ... She hopes. Or at least the computer will be.
Kotone Yamakawa Corona is now in the cargo bay and is getting to work at this point she's got an idea. It shouldn't be too hard to get the exo units working they are made to be easy to use and oddly have no need for a jack, likely to save time given the mix of workers for the company. One model works for all why split them up it should be easy enough to get the things working and online in short order. The things thankfully are compatible with her her body shape though there are going to be issues with her tail, so she might need to mod it later. Also there's the faint whirr of something using lift systems of some sort in the cargo bay she's not alone.

Alexis has encountered the Nova Crab who is stomping about on patrol of some sort the hulking thing mutters in a somewhat inhuman voice some sort of grumbling about pay and getting the shit morph for this job. She's quick enough to get by it for the moment but whose telling how long it would be before it noticed her she's clear to move on if she's careful.

Kotone isn't far behind Staren as she moves in she's already moving to get her jack pulled out of the back of her neck and has fit herself with a dummy barrier before the mission. She's going to plug in and start trying to pull data.

<<Rory we got a terminal and could use some help I'm jacking in.>>

George is getting lucky he's looking at someone who might be a software engineer a man whose age is hard to place which he's able to jump fast. The men lets out a startled noise at this point and he ends up with a broken limb but it's not the crunch of bone, it's the snap of cybernetics being broken and his leg breaks more naturally. He's able to drag the guy away and get his access card. Hiro Yamada is the man's name and he's software engineer according to the pass card which should get George some time he's also able to drag guy into a corridor where he might not be noticed for a bit.

The man looks to Seft he's scared but he's not panicing he's going to have to trust Seft doesn't want to shoot him he doesn't know but at the mention of software he pauses.

"I can tell you where that is but that's it I don't have access I work on the android and shell production lines I handle hardware issues and quality. Sides things been getting creepy as hell lately down there and I ain't seen Yamakawa for weeks she was the only one who wasn't creepy. How a nice girl like her got developing love dolls I'll never know."

he then proceeds to tell them about how to get to both locations. He'll also hand them his access card for all the good it will do.

"Look the off world PMC? They handle most of the external security down there now and they don't get to go inside techs and top end personnel only. Ain't said shit to me about Yamakawa other than she's on business. Also about those guys they can be almost anything brought a load of combat androids, hell ones of them is a crab the size of a /car/ and most of the rest are all women oddly enough. I never seen a PMC that wasn't as sausage party for the most part also got some strange ass combat machines too. That's all I know and Yamakawa isn't the only person whose gone missing or mysterious is on a trip neither. I get the feeling I don't want to know whats going on in there.

Kotone meanwhile is getting into the files and Rory's going the same from another vector heck she's going to wait a moment. Rory's right to cover up them being here these guys are not dumb they'd be noticing them shortly and thankfully she's bought em all a good deal of time. Thanks to her back door work she's able to get in and start to seize control of the systems she would also find they have a trio of techs actually wired in at this moment running cyberspace on the ship. As for locating the hostages she'll find two locations Project Golem Storage and in the Primary lab with some work she'll find that Miho's in the lab or what's marked Miho Alpha, Delta, and Gamma. There's notes here about mental editing to be done as her skills are too vaulable either find a way to edit her or loot
Alexis Maaka     A giant enemy crab that's INTELLIGENT. That's a new one. Alexis just waits before the crab is out of earshot before she drops to the ground, hunched over in a crouch as she draws her SIG and levels it downrange alertly. When she's satisfied nobody is behind her, she begins to follow the cables she sees overhead.

Whenever she locates a terminal of some sort, she'll kneel over before holstering the SIG and jacking in to access datafiles.

Remotely, Kaz will be taking care of the hard stuff, trying to decrypt any files he can locate regarding merchandise aboard this vessel, as well as private messages, details regarding enemy strength, transactions made, maybe even empty a digital wallet or two on the way. And he does this all while sporting a loud Hawaiian shirt and laids out in a beach chair. "Good to be the king..." He says to himself, beginning to do some custom encryptions himself...
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone meanwhile is getting into the files and Rory's going the same from another vector heck she's going to wait a moment. Rory's right to cover up them being here these guys are not dumb they'd be noticing them shortly and thankfully she's bought em all a good deal of time. This could explain the mess of things with the other Miho, they were using forks to /test/ things out on.
Corona Arclite She had a few ideas cooked up on how to pass jack-in requirements, but it looks like this time Corona isn't going to need to test them out. Makes sense really, why require your all-purpose labor to utilize such extensive technology? All the same it still takes several minutes of fiddling with semi-familiar technology, and a bit of awkward stuffing of her tail behind her (good thing it's mostly floof), but Corona's intuitive adaptability with technology does eventually come out on top.

Machinery buzzes and whirrs softly as she lifts one arm and clenches the mechanical grasper on the end shut and open again a few times, followed by another borderline mad scientist giggle from the vixen. "This must be what it feels like for Target." She's worked on the Ranger's VEX system a few times, but she never gets to -use- it do to confidential technology, so this was like being let loose in a candy shop for her.

Fortunately while she's distracted her C-PAD is still scanning and beeps sharply at her when it detects one of the cargo lifts moving.

Corona starts walking in the direction of the lift, doing her best to look like another worker going about their business. At least until she gets close enough to see what's going on...
Staren     Staren is helping hack, but he doesn't have the familiarity with this techbase that Kotone does or the advantage of being an AGI like Rory. His support AI checks basic information while he helps with the digging.

"I imagine you're going to go after Miho. I..." He glances back at the door, "Think I should come with. Some of the others can deal with... the ones in 'storage'." He shivers as he says the word.
Rory White     TRIUMPH! Rory's neurology exults in the success. She's in. She has the whole security system dancing on a string. literally! ... Almost literally.

The pods that she hasn't yet disabled halt their patrols. Instead they freeze in place... the delay is perhaps five seconds long. Then, on the tacnet... the Pods change from Red to Green. SUBVERSION SUCCESSFUL!

Instead of sending in her spider drones, Rory commands the Security Pods to enter the ship. FORWARD MARCH! They are unlikely to be questioned too much if anyone encounters them, she hopes.

Because they're headed to the Primary Lab.

<<We are so close! Just a little bit more, Kotone!>>
Starbound Flotilla     Not being noticed for a while is fine. Being gone from the site of the looting is extra better. George grabs the card and, well, he powerwalks. Seft and Albert have fed both him and Rory the relevant data about HOW to access that area, so he's going to slip out of the main crew zones and break on through to those labs. Hopefully he can link up with Rory's brigade of security drones.

"Got the card."
"Access route determined."
"Firm. Anyone working directly with the software knows what they are doing. Remember. Treat them appropriately. I am going to work on George's project."
Kotone Yamakawa Maaka and the sometimes forgot about Kaz are hard at work as she's looking to also get into the network so to speak she finds a terminal it's not much to look at because it's made for jacking in and that's where Kaz gets to do his thing he'll start grabbing files but all are encoded even the internal office memos it's going to take work but with Rory's back door it should be possible to get though it's going to keep him busy he does find a lot of inter ship mails, messages and a number of transaction record she does hack one suits basic but the client company is one Starlight systems and they show ups a lot over the last several months. Who knows what else he's going to crack meanwhile the crab is clanking along away from Alexis for the moment.

As Corona gets the info heads up from Rory she's going to find out why the two contacts in cargo bay are flagged Reaper.

Hovering pod like forms loaded with /guns of all sort. They are made to kill and they say nothing verbally but they seem to be talking through some sort of tactical band as they move about.

(OOC Reaper and I'm not talking Harby http://tinyurl.com/pl4k7ue)

One of them has painted on one side. All The Dakka, the other has Guns O Thunder painted on it. The things are not hovering actually but using their limbs to get about and those are some pretty damn big guns but they may have just picked up Corona!

"I'm going after Miho, you have medical skills staren the people in storage may need your help With Rory heading to Miho I need you to go there. You want to help these people. I do too but your in a better spot to help them if injured."

She'll jack out at this point and cloak again as she heads off.

<<Staren I'm counting on you on this. You focus on saving the victims you'll get your justice when we ruin this damn company.>>

<<I know I'm afraid of what I'm going to find.>>

The worker looks to both of the invaders.

"Look whatever they are doing have people armed to the gills with off world tech protecting it and now your here? They likely know ya. Given what we produce. So should I sit my ass here or look to get the hell off the boat..."

Kotone is driven woman today, a very driven one as she presses for the software research that's where she's going to find Miho the two pods are making a good diversion too as they get noticed but nothing trips concerns with the guards.

There should be no issue with the engine room however as the party making for the software dev lab would find the guards are again all women and the ID tag might get an idea out of Rory. They are going to have to fight.

The way to storage is fiarly clear there's guards here but mostly pods and one humanoid in heavy body armours the engine room just has the engineering team going about their rounds as Seft arrives she should be able to duck them and do what she needs to do making a divsion would help though and thankfully Rory's got the computer however the three techs in the system now start to twig something might be up given some of the Pogs are acting odd and are running system checks now.
Starbound Flotilla     Seft puts her gun away carefully. "Processing. Understood. Thank you for your compliance and assistance. Please stand by. I do not believe you could avert what happens next even if we were reported." She says, trying to reassure the interrogated man. "Urgent. Albert, let's begin."

Seft is going to lead Albert on elsewhere. They're going to head on towards the engine, with an inclination of vastly increased lethality. Seft, it seems, has a speific sort of plan for the engines. Not explosive, but... They need to be around that area of the ship. Albert splits off, though; he's going to need to find a path to Staren, and then onwards to the hostages. Hopefully it doesn't get too shooty.
Alexis Maaka     Alexis seems content to leave the terminal, leaving Kaz to do his work wirelessly as she begins to search for a way into the jefferies tubes. Once she does, she begins to trace directions towards Storage. Deck Four, towards the stern. Alexis follows Kotone's directions as she crawls her way through the narrow pathway.

MEANWHILE, Kaz continues to exploit Rory's backdoor as he sifts through memos, transaction logs, shipping manifests, lots of stuff to leak and steal while he decrypts file after file. These are pretty well guarded, but Kaz isn't likely to give up given his specialized neural implants and natural talent for code work. "Man oh man, I wonder what other dirty laundry you guys have." He muses, pausing only to take a sip from his soda. Then he goes back to work, opening another window in his browser to search for info regarding this 'Starlight SYstems' company. Won't hurt to do some research on the side.
Staren     Staren is instead asked to go after the larger group. "I know first aid and I have Rory's medical tech..." he clarifies, but nods, looking serious. "Good luck, Kotone." He shakes her hand if she'll let him.

He takes a moment to look over the subverted tacnet and ask for help, because he doubts he can get them all out alone in this situation. <<Thanks Alexis, Albert. Shit, Reapers?? Seriously?? Okay guys, I dunno if you all are seeing this? But these mercs are armed like someone let /me/ go through an armory on Rory's world and take whatever I wanted. There... there are gonna be fireworks. ...I shoulda brought the combat robot body... No, let's hope we can avoid a fight.>>

Once Kotone's ready to move out, he pulls a knife from his bag, cuts down his cloak, and moves through the ship the same way he did before -- chameleon cloaked and using insect-sized drones to check corners, making his way to whatever makes a good rendezvous point with Alexis and Albert before heading for 'Golem Project - Storage'.

He's doing his best to avoid a fight. He's pretty sure that against anyone packing /this/ kind of heat? A clash with the mercs is going to cause a horrendous amount of collateral damage. Which the owners of this boat might well prefer, to the elites' mission succeeding...
Corona Arclite Corona gets the heads-up from Rory about the Reapers at just about the same time she catchs sight of the hovering forms and stops. Though it's probably not soon enough to avoid being noticed if they're as high tech as they're saying they are. She also catches that they've found Miho and Kotone is hurrying off to find her. Or what is left of her. On second thought, let's not think about that second option.

Let's think about something important, like making something else for people to focus on so Kotone can get done what she's got to get done. And seeing what this exo-skeleton can do. Both which bring a faint curl to her lips. High threat enemies; bigger, meaner and more powerful than she is? Story of her life!

The foxgirl prefers to think of her feet anyways, so instead of bothering to wait and see if the Reapers spotted her or not she goes on the assumption they will shortly, and grabs one of the cargo crates. With the exo-skeleton's strength enhancement that's made for this sort of labor she has little trouble picking it up.

And then heaving it towards one of the Reapers. "SUHPRISE, VARMITS!" Maybe they'll be confused by the fact that she's wearing one of the company's own exo-skeletons.
Starbound Flotilla     These pod-women are between George and his target. So he walks on! He keeps walking, and keeps walking, and he'll pretend that he and this entourage of security drones are SUPPOSED to be here, looking perfectly confident until he's stopped. After he's stopped, he's going to immediately try to get to work, by shattering the kneecaps of anything nearby, getting Rory's drones between him and the guards, and drawing a heavy shotgun from his Matter Manipulator, intending to immediately open fire. He has to STORM this place, without any chance for a secure defense to be established, before lockdowns can get going, things like that! He's gotta just RUSH it!
Rory White     The way Rory's handling the Pods as they near the software lab is... eerie. The people sleeved into those Furies are no doubt going to find it strange that they are not where they are supposed to be. But the Pods do not pause in their stroll. They lockstep with George, troping on...

By this time, a tiny dragonfly drone has slipped onto the ceiling. Thermal sensors are good and it has a lock on the furies in case the Pods face sensor jamming. Alternate telemetry and more exact firing solutions are calcualted over the tacnet...

The moment George answers an ID request with Emergency Answer #1, Rory orders the Pods to open fire. They RUTHLESSLY aim at vitals. Rory's jsut hoping the one-two-punch will be enough to down some of them!

She really doesn't care if they die. Those are Furies. Meaning they have Cortical Stacks that can be retrieved, and probably have backups somewhere.
Kotone Yamakawa Kaz works his magic and is going to ruin a lot of lives, who honestly have this coming. Even if they snake out of this legally somehow this will haunt them forever pretty much and they will be tainted to hire. He'll find in time the info on the human trafficking and connections to the mob and more. He's got a lot of dirty laundry to work with.

Alexis meanwhile is moving to catch up Staren there is not a thing to get in their way as things are getting hot elsewhere.

Staren's words worry Kotone given how he's like a boy scout of doom for being ready for things and when it comes to weaponry he can be very aggressive in his load-outs. Saying that has her understand how deep in they are all, and she presses onwards the warning about the Fury gets Kotone nervous but they are between her and her cousin, also who knows how many others.

Alexis, Albert and Staren would encounter the guards there most of them are the Pods but the guy in heavy armour is eyeing Albert as he nears and isn't aware he levels his rifle.

"Hey your not supposed to be here One more step and your a corpse."

The pods also raise their weapons this could get messy real fast but he doesn't seem to see Staren and Maaka.

Seft meanwhile is making for the engine room it's late thankfully and there's only the poor sobs who got stuck with the late shift tonight as she makes her eay in. They are also distracted as Alarms go off elsewhere in the ship she's going to have to make her move now. So why is the alarm going off? That's a very good question? It would be due to Corona.

Corona is now getting the reaper's attention the two machines turn to see Corona has got Direct Action's attention as she ambushes the things with the exoskeleton. The create goes flying catching the first Reaper catching it off guard the other moves trying to bring up a weapon arm and opens fire. On the hacked Tac Net there would be a report <<Dakka here, we got a an intruder in the cargo bay! Check the rest of the damn ship they can't be alone not out here!>>

The ship is going on alert now but thankfully the Reapers are now trying to go after Corona and opening fire with their weapons they are taking some care to avoid damage but bringing her down is more important than char cargo. Corona has a mighty big fight on her hands but the Reapers will not be backing up any of the other PMC troops on the boat thankfully.

George has timed his move well just before well the alarms go off they get distracted and he gets a moment to strike and the PODs open fire as well catching several Fury of guard who go down in a very bloody and messy faction but the rest are quick to react.

"So your the ones... from the Harbour! Watch for the damn plant morph that thing eats it's enemies!"

Several of the remaining Fury attack now opening fire and Kotone soon adds to the fire her normal restraint is gone today as she lays down a withering barrage from her SMG shots are flying around the corridor like crazy and Kotone's trying to recklessly push past the Fury. They are not shooting normal round some sort of rail rounds that will explode after breaching the target's outer shell. Kotone's attempting to dodge all the fire but might not be so lucky as the rounds keep going.

BGM FURY http://puu.sh/lkLRX/61d819a4c7.mp3
Alexis Maaka     Kaz definitely relishes the chance to ruin these guys, both personally and financially as well. He'll be having a ball with this, leaking documents regarding their criminal activities on most online forums. The hacktivists are gonna have a hell of a surprise waiting for them when they get online next, and he leaves behind a macro of a cartoon nerd waving his fingers mockingly. 'Uh uh uh, didn't say the magic word!' it says, as Kaz begins to lock out various accounts on the ship's net.

Alexis doesn't take long to form up with Albert and Staren, and when the heavy trooper arrives, Alexis takes a moment to draw a weapon from her Matter Manipulator. The sound of a shell being chambered will get the enemy's attention. "No chance, pal."

She cocks her shotgun, a ten gauge gift from Commander Deathgaze's crew before letting off blast after blast of shipboard slugs at the pods.
Starbound Flotilla     Albert draws his hammer, slams it against the ground, and ROARS a gutteral apelike scream, launching through the hall towards the pods. The one that pointed their gun at him is going to be on the receiving end of a heavy hammer swing to the torso that's strong enough to slam them through nearby allies, tanking bullets head-on and ignoring the damage. His armor can make sure nothing kills him instantly and he just has to survive most of this, until healing up later. Right now what matters is taking out the Heavy Armor Guy while the others deal with the pods. The intent is to slam him around or, if that won't work, to at least regularly and heavily destabilize him such that he can't contribute to the fight much.
Corona Arclite Welp, that most definately got their attention, as the Reapers turn towards her. But just to make sure, Corona tosses a taunt out there as well. "Yer sister is a refridgerator and her light is always on!" Might have to think about that one for a moment for the context to sink in and realize how it's implication is a threat towards cyborg/robots.

The Reapers open fire and Corona reflexively twists to dive to the side. Though the exo-skeleton doesn't respond with quite the same fluidity that she's use to and several shots do ping off the mechanical framework's backside before she slides out of immeadiate range. Corona plants one metal clad hand on the floor to brace herself, while using the other to grab her Matter Manipulator and 'shoot' it two times rapidly at the wall before turning and sprinting down the row between the stacks of cargo crates and the bay wall, using the Manipulator a third time on the floor after several paces and then keeps moving.

As soon as the Reapers round the bend in pursuit of her the two devices she planted activate into a pair of her portable turrets, peppering the Reapers with repeater fire until the turrets are rather easily destroyed.

But they were mainly a diversion to give the third enough time to power up, and fire a bolo-like triad of weighted chains spinning through the air in an attempt to tangle up a few Reaper tendrils.

Rory said to use traps and ambush tactics. Fortunately a running battle is something the spritely machinist is very good at.
Rory White     Unfortunately for Rory she's not picked very good units to go up against Furies. Fortunately though, she IS smart in other ways. Taking direct command of one of the Pods, she orders it to stand BEHIND the other. Thus... the Pod adds to its arsenal by turning its fellow into a shield. Most of the shots slam into this poor machine, explosions ripping up most of its insides. But the beauty of this situation is this simple tactic leaves the Pod able to reach out and GRAB the disabled unit before it falls and retain its usefulness as a shield while still shooting.

Rory wisely disguises her voice when it emanates from the Pod's speakers. Tone? Oh, her tone comes through fine. But the voice is otherwise heavily synthesized and not at all identifiable as hers.

"Correct. Your operation is over. Where would you like your stacks sent?"

She's angry. ... But you can consider this a sort of kindness? Maybe?
Staren     Staren starts sneaking his way around... but Albert doesn't have stealth and gets a guard's attention. Staren wracks his brain for a way to take the guard out... but it looks like Albert's taking him on personally, and Alexis has jumped into the fray too. Should he go on alone...?

...He's going to need a team to get the hostages out safely. Once Albert's made his way to the commander, Staren pulls off his cloak, shoulder launchers already in position. Plasma minimissiles fire into the pods, demonstrating why people on Rory's world call them 'hellballs' as they immolate wide areas, and for good measure Staren fires the particle beam cannons into the fray too, or maybe at the commander if he can get a good shot. "Forknapper!" Staren... can't think of more to say than that. A speech about their wrongdoing when it may well be another backup somewhere that wakes up, not remembering it? Quips about going to hell or the like don't make sense, either...
Starbound Flotilla     "Who me? At the harbor? I love swimming! And boats, actually! I'm here on a tour!" George rambles as he fires off his shotgun repeatedly at the pods. Thankfully, his armor appears over his body, summoned out of his Matter Manipulator, before the horrible rounds can give him a massive gushing wound. "Yikes, this is rough stuff! Rory, damn, not heard you like this before!" He's taking some cover behind her pods as well. Some rounds have slammed into his armor, heavily wounding him and forcing him into cover, but a quick combat stim will keep him on his feet. "Kick it into high gear, kid, priority one! Gotta go fast!" And he's going to try to force the advance through any defenses and go after the servers as soon as possible. That's the important thing! As long as they can get that first, the rest won't matter... Too much.
Starbound Flotilla     Seft has a clear shot. Thank goodness. She's going to head for the engine area, not to do anything with the engines of course, but instead to get inside there, and deploy... Some kind of teleport beacon! It's massive, and meant to connect, through the engine, with the /entire ship/. Elsewhere... A tremendous teleport array in the Void churns, building energy. It's clear what George's plan is, now! Make sure nobody can buy anyone off, make sure nobody can escape, make sure nobody can investigate or sneak things off without Flotilla approval... By ABDUCTING THE ENTIRE SHIP INTO OUTER SPACE!
Kotone Yamakawa Alexis gives the merc a reply and well that settles it, he barks out a attack command and several of the pods go down he himself is using some sort of rail rifle and opening fire, he's got the sense to not sit still as well, Albert also now pulls his hammer and the fury of the man that Big Ape could not kill becomes known to the Direct Action Merc. It's not enough to stop the rampage that Alber is going on he's just tearing into the guy he keeps shooting catching him with the heavy melee werapon sends the man into the wall he attemps to get up and fire off another shot but that doens't last one as Albert is able to slam him again, whatever this guy is he's tough but Alber is just smacking him around good he's unable to bark more commands. Staren meanwhile takes out a dew Pods and then yells Forknapper.

"Forknapper?! What?!"

WHAM He's hit by George again and goes down pretty hard. He's not dead his armour kept him alive but he's freaking out of it from that last hit. Soon there's few pods left and all that is in thier way are the doors.

Corona meanwhile is fighting the Reaper and one pauses.

"... IS that the best you can do..wait WHAT?!"

It seems this one has a siblin g because they are opening gire more trying to get Corona down witt heir heavy energy weapons. Corona is however making good use of her find in the cargo bay. She also puts her new toy to use quite well to make the Reapers go what? Even as th attack keeps geting press Corona is making use to able to disable one of the Reapers as Dakka gets tangled up in the chains and thus it can't bring it's weapons to bear. It's partner is still going after Corona and taking a bit more care with it's shot, the energy blasts just light up the cargo hold as they try to get the Foxy Cowyboy and send her to boot hill.

The fight at the lab is brutal the Fury are clearly some of the best troops on the boat. George is shocing his moves rambling in a very confusiong wau which adds some confusion to the whole thing the fighting is getting heavcy and the old man is proving himself to be quite the badass. When the pods get hit the rounds will explode doing more damage and prehaps worse. You really don't want to get hit by them. He also is able to snap off a pretty good rush he might be able to get by its so crazy and unexpected that the Fury don't quite get what he's doing. The pods at this point are mostly. Rory is being the terminator with her captured Pods and it's shows one of the Fury's pause at hte voice.

"...Direct Action."

Is all they manage to get out but they are not still fighting they got a job to do, wait stacks? They know this has agents from back home. Kotone is able to get to the door and she's quick to lay a alien grenade the thing ticks down as she leaps away and it goes off catching one of the Fury in the blast and then she's gone darting thtough the door the way's open into the Lab now.

Then the ship heave as reality has a hissy fit and one moment the ship is on Earth the next it's in the damn void and that's when Zero G also becomes a thing now as people lose footing but thankfully the attackers have experiance with that sort of thing.
Kotone Yamakawa The Fury are dead, down or giving up at this point there's only two on their feet still but they seem a bit as confused more so like they don't know what's behind the door. The Zero G is a very good thing, a very good thing. It buys them an action which lets Kotone get into the lab and it's a scene of horror there's bankes of machines with people in them. Wired up to this heavy machines one can see several human forms and several of them seem to be women all looking like Miho they are not concious and the lab techs there are losing htier balance and one had been going to get a Gun. Kotone blasts the guy's hand and calls out.

"ANYONE OF YOU BASTARDDS TWITCH YOU WILL BE FED TO THE DAMN FLORAN!"

Kotone's mad very angry. She'll wait for back up to get in here before she acts.

The two still standing fury have let go of their weapons at this point.

"Forknapping?!"

Meanwhile the Storage team would be able to find that there's a dozen people eight of them women four of them Men, there's space for more in the small cells, hey have helmets on and are hooked up to the wall much like the girl they fond in the shipping warehouse they are not awake and the daced merc gets a look inside.

"wha...wha...?"

Did the hired help know what they were guarding?
Staren     The merc is /surprised/? Hmm. Could he /seriously/ not know? "Oh, did your employers not tell you?" Staren shouts as Alexis mops up the pods, approaching while waiting for his beam cannons to cool. "They're here to bring the," he snaps his fingers, "/soul/ trade, that's what you call it, to this world! When word gets back what kind of job you took... well. If you really didn't know, surrender and help us! If you really don't care..." He raises the beam cannons as they finish cooling, pointing at the downed merc's head. If they knew, there's nothing more to say.
Corona Arclite Sure, the Reapers have guns, guns, and more guns. High end construction. All that fancy top of the line stuff that is suppose to make them lethal killing machines. But there's something to be said for quality instead of quanity, especially when someone knows how to use it to their advantage.

Those odds? Corona has been fighting by those odds her entire life.

By the time the Reaper catchs up to her Corona has double backed into the more open area of the cargo hold near the lift. The exo-suited foxgirl turns to stand her ground now that there is only one immeadiate threat to deal with...

And that's when the Starbounders steal THE ENTIRE SHIP and no gravity kicks in, and Corona drifts off the deck with a brief squeak of surprise. The Reaper has those tendrils to root itself down.. but if it's anchoring itself to try and shoot at her, it's not going to be able to move as quickly, right? This is a change in environment she might be able to take advantage of!

Corona tags a modified looking blaster from her Manipulator, points it as she drifts, and fires off two shots before the weapon is out of juice and needs to recharge. Sadly the energy beams pass right by the Reaper.

Except that's exactly what they were suppose to do. The Star Slinger fires its energy blasts through a lense made from one of the Erchius crystal bits Corona picked up from the moon, granting them a bit of the crystal's weird space-warping ability. Because of this after passing the Reaper and seeming to miss, the beams abruptly snap back at sharp angles that lasers normally would not be able to bend at immeadiately and surge towards the area on the back of the Reaper were it's tentacles are attached to.
Staren     SUDDENLY, ZERO-G. Staren's attempt to look intimidating is hurt somewhat when he starts to float off and grabs uselessly towards the ground, before firing a grapple tag and pulling himself down so he can use magnetized boots and glare at the guard properly. |:<

It's not that he's prioritizing killing the guard over saving the hostages, but, if this guy's going to be a hindrance they /kind/ of can't leave him around.
Alexis Maaka     Cock cock, Alexis ejects the last slug from her shotgun before she levels it at a remaining pod, letting the weapon click empty as she just opts to clock the cybernetic clone across the face with its stock. "Stay." She barks sharply at any she hasn't shot yet, before she slings the weapon over her shoulder.

Staren pretty much has the right idea, and she begins to form up some additional shells from her matter manipulator to reload the shotgun during this ceasefire.

Suddenly, zero-g. Alexis immediately magnetizes her boots before planting her feet on the ground, doing her best to stay upright even as everything gets confusing. She does brush aside from blood from her pauldron as it floats toward her.

Meanwhile, as Kaz is in the middle of his browsing, he hears a lot of noise from the ship, only to see the entire thing disappear. "...son of a bitch, I was still connected!"
Rory White     "Yes. Forknapping." The synthesized voice from Rory's pod answers... as she finds herself floating. Thankfully, her main body is equipped with magnetic feet and hand pads, as are her Worker Drones. The pods.... well they're probably not.

    So they go floating helplessly.

"Vapors of a friend's family member were turning up, linked to this company. As nice as it is to be stationed on an unspoiled Earth, this kind of complacency and ignorance is exactly what lead to the Fall in the first place." But Rory White's still not identifying herself to the Furies. Just dropping the voice mask.

"If you are truly ignorant of the wrongdoing being committed here then I apologize, and will offer what services I can. But--... first I have to figure out where my ship is. We're not on Earth NOW!"

And on the deck, Rory White seeks entrance inside. She's not keen on exposing her primary Morph to a lot of radiation. It might wreck the synthetic human covering. Repairing that is a pain.
Kotone Yamakawa The merc look sup at Staren.

"Wait wait! Shit like Nine Lives? This was a heavy guard Contract!"

He issues a stand down notice to the pods with him. they are down but they will stop trying to fight he's also getting on the line with the other mercs on board the ship too.

"I surrender."

The man seems to have not know and he waiting for what comes next. He's not happy if someone tried to give Direct Action a bad job like this there will be god damn hell to pay. He's steaming but not stupid he's not going to get shot here and Staren might be shocked he listened.

Meanwhile nothing move at Alexis command it's silent things are floating about and there's people to get out of those cells and rigs.
Starbound Flotilla     George's armor is sheared off bad. "Hhhhh... Shit, I should'a brought the monkeyman for this one." He says, coughing wetly, and then surging forward right as the gravity goes zero! He knew he wouldn't have the chance to bring enough power to bear here, he doesn't have NEAR enough sheer force to take this on directly. But he has experience fighting in zero gravity. A LOT of experience fighting in zero gravity. He knows every trick to it. He's lived it as a veteran of twenty five years of space assaults. So despite his heavy wounding, he's going to get to that lab. If Rory can tell him what to grab, he's going to grab it. Whole banks of servers, with that massive Matter Manipulator. He's not gonna let these jerks buy off the feds. He's going to do this right, and he's going to do it himself.
Staren     Staren looks at the man for a moment. He's actually not completely surprised. Whoever's doing this was lying to their employees, clearly.

But even in this situation, Staren can't stop /thinking/. And so he grins as he has a thought. "Tell me, did your employer break contract by hiring you for such a job without your knowledge? Much as I'd love to see vigilantes hunt them down, I'm sure Direct Action would be a powerful ally. If so, send me your contract to confirm."

If the man says yes, Staren pulls an ecto from his bag and hands it over. If the man says no, Staren shrugs, "Ah well, at least you have your conscience." and pats him on the back. "If you need a new job after this, maybe I can help you out."

Either way, Staren heads into the lab, walking somewhat awkwardly in his mag-boots. He surveys the scene, taking a couple of deep breaths which suddenly sound loud in his helmet.

Then he walks over to the equipment. "Albert, are you a medic? Check them over, if you can. I'll make sure they're safe to disconnect." And he starts working at any console it's hooked up to, trying to determine their status and what has to be done to safely disconnect the hostages.

They are silent now and not very happy they also lost a lot of credits on the damage taken to the Reapers. There's also a whole cargo bay of loot now for Corona.

Meanwhile in the Lab the Fury gets actually wide eyed more so than the guard at the storage roo.

"We surrender... we were hired on short notice this job came in the pay...and how are we in Zero G?! We were on Earth!"

The Fury who can let go of their weapons and wait, but there's a lot of comm traffic between them the mercs are not happy. They do things for money but Direct Action does not touch certain things like soul trading, that's bad for their bottom line, and what ethics thier personel have.

George is able to get the serves the local personel are in no way able to deal with Zero G. Kotone on the other hand has a lot of experiance and she goes to check, she opens the casing to see Miho's body gaunt and not well but there's other bodies here too and they also look like Miho she's not certain whose real at this point.

"We need to get them..."

Two of them wake and look at Kotone.

"Kotone... you came."

Says one, the other looks confused.

"But I'm Miho..."

They seem too out of it to do much Kotone says quietly.

"It's okay your all safe now."

Meanwhile back with Staren the merc nods to him for a moment.

"We were hired to guard this ship for 72 hours guard it after the jump to the Vast Ocean and then it's native personel would be taking over from us."

Staren would get the file it's full of lawyer speak but there's a clause about certain things that the unit won't deal in like sentient trafficing and the like. The mercs can clearly terminate services legally. Also there's a mention of a company called Starlight Systems, Staren might recall they are one of the corps in a lot of trouble after the bombshell the Flotilla let lose on Rory's world.
Starbound Flotilla     Albert and Seft are cooling off. Albert is similarly wounded, though Seft isn't nearly as shredded. That's probably for the best. For now, they're going to have to chill; they lack the same zero-gravity advantages George has, but they're going to work their way through to the captives on their own, and get to work on helping as well! Releasing captives and similar suchlike, if the rest of the pods and such are being dealt with effectively, they're going to have no issues!
Corona Arclite Since everything is still drifting in microgravity at the moment Corona uses one of her grapplers to grab onto one disabled Reaper and reel herself over, planting her feet so she's standing over the array of sensors that would pass for it's 'face'. Which she actually waves at. "Don't mind me, just makin' sure ya stay outta trouble fer a bit."

Corona grabs one of the Reaper's tentacles, using a combination of the exo-skeleton's augmented strength and an Arclite Cutter to sever it off at a joint. This might help her make the similar segemental manipulators her automatronics use better.

She then gives it one last wave before kicking off, which is likely to send it tumbling towards the first chain-tangled Reaper, and let them tumble about helplessly. Adding insult to injury there.

The mecha-tentacle is stuffed into inventory she zaps a few choice looking cargo containers into her Manipulator is well. She's too curious about what's been going on other than the trafficing to not grab some stuff to sort through herself later.
