Kotone Yamakawa It had been a very long night but the nightmare was mostly over, the information that the Law on Kotones world needed would get into their hands. The Flotilla as a whole are owed a favour or two from Direct Action in the future for saving them from a massive stock harming PR disaster, that and it was so on the low even a PMC like that had ethical issues with the soul trade, on top of the business issues. Kotone had just flat out fallen asleep floating in part of Rory's ship and is only now waking up, she's making her way to the medical bay of Rory's ship to see how all of the recovered Mihos are doing.

That was a disturbing thought to think about there was possibly more than one Miho. They'd been sleeping in the medical bay fairly soundly but as Kotone starts to enter one of them starts to wake up.

"mmmm I had... the worst nightmare that they were ...."

She pauses, moves to feel her face and her expression sinks.

"It wasn't a nightmare was it Kotone..."

Kotone looks at her sympathically.

"No it wasn't..."

<<Kotone here, one of the hostages are awake you should get down there we need to get thier minds made up and handle things before too much more time passes.>>

This would be an open call to anyone else who might be on board the ship or in the base at this time.
Rory White     There's really NO PROCEDURES WHATSOEVER for this sort of situation so Rory's been doing what she can. ONce she was back aboard the odyssey she resleeved into the ship's Cyberbrain and using the extra processing power to ready it for extra visitors. That's included preparing some food and refreshments in the fabricators for anyone who wants it, readying rooms for resting in, and performing examinations in every Miho who's being brought aboard.

She's made no small amount of effort scouring the ship for any OTHER copies of Miho that might be lingering in the computers or elsewhere. Rory wants to deal with this problem in one fell swoop. No mistakes.

One of the Servitor units trails after Kotone, its face showing a clear ^_^ as Miho wakes up. "Don't worry. The nightmare is over. There will be no more horrible experiments."
Staren     Sleep is good. Staren at least found a bed, removing his armor and leaving it in a storage locker for now. The LABSCORCHER'S WHITECOAT easily reconfigures into a skintight undersuit or sleeping wear as needed. He's slept a lot. He was up late last night talking with Rory, after all.

Eventually he woke up and stayed up, and for the past few hours he's been reading up on flexbots, mostly. As much as he'd like to help Rory design her next body... this isn't something he's studied much, though he's learned to build and repair wiretech, and it's also similar to some parts of Dr. Wakeman's technology which he learned to integrate into his own robot body. He's better-equipped to work with it than he feared, perhaps, but he's still never designed anything like a flexbot.

When he's alerted that Miho's awake, one of them anyway, he makes his way to the medbay, clothes reformed from the shorts and T-shirt he slept in to his usual outfit. Hopefully the white coat will make her think of good doctors and not evil experimenters.

"Hey." He smiles, but it's a bit of an uneasy one. He's not going to pretend this isn't a messed-up situation for her or provide false reassurances. "How are you feeling?" he asks with concern.
Alexis Maaka     Changed into some new clothes, Alexis watches beside the doorway, sipping from a small cup of coffee. She's taken a ride aboard the Odyssey since yesterday, hoping to get in touch with Zwei regarding some upgrades promised. She'd spent the better part of a week working with the Armiger regarding some modifications, only stopping to handle last night's operation.

THe sooner she gets that suit back, the better. That throwaway wetsuit she had last night didn't last long when the bullets flew. Armored skin or no, she wasn't enjoying getting bullets. She did have a spare change of clothes, thankfully, and a tank top keeps her decent as she nurses a suture to her side while her jumper and longcoat hang beside the bed.
Zwei     "I'm here I'm here!" is the voice from . . . somewhere. Predictably it's Weiss, since Asche doesn't actually fit properly on Rory's inner decks, though that might be for the best with that side of Zwei's bilateral personality's feelings on Miho's state. Despite being the friendly and chatty one, Weiss is comparatively mildly sociopathic in terms of philosophical ethics. She may not have actually used the airlock, possibly even just teleporting through the outer hull with the way she just pops into the room, displacing some of the atmosphere with a minor wave of pressure.

"Sorry I'm late! It's like a running theme with this particular case. I missed basically all of it!" she pops something out of the matter manipulator core, chucking a sealed . . . suitcase? at Alexis. "How many Mihos and in what condition?" she asks simply.
Staren     Staren tilts his head at Zwei and radios her. <<Do you really need to say that out loud right in front of her? We have four Mihos, sleeved in these bodies here. It looks like they also experimented with imprinting bits of her personality and memory on nonsentient AIs, but that's irrelevant right now.>>
Alexis Maaka     Speak of the devil.

Alexis still has her lightning reflexes as she sees the case fly towards her, her hands darting upwards to catch it before she's knocked right off her seat. "Oof! A little warning next time, will you?" She says, before setting the case beside her. It opens up, and she takes a peek inside.
Kotone Yamakawa The first awake Miho is looking at her self for a moment and seemingly confused.

"I'm in ... wait but this is one of the models I designed."

She's haking her head a little bit and she's distracted from Rory and the others for a moment as she takes a long good look at herself.

Kotone watches and puts a hand on her shoulder whgile she looks to the Servitor unit.

"Don't mind Rory she's been working overtime to try and help ... all of you."

Another Miho is staking to wake up this one the likely orginal and she's looking about now pausing at the others.

"I'm feeling better than I thought I would. I yet I wait who are they...wait so they made more...of me?"

the other Miho looks at the prime for a moment confused and says

"At least your not in your own 'companion model' I feel like a damn floozy!"

Kotone looks over to Alexis and gives her a nod. The mihos seem to know everyone whose showing up tfrom the looks of it.

The Prime Miho just makes a bit of a face.

"I'm not sure."

Kotone looks.

"Four here and Rory found another six in cold storage. There's also the one we rescued a while back but still good to have you here Zwei."
Rory White     The Servitor is vaguely humanoid, though with wheels instead of legs, and a display for a face - not unlike Seft. Not unlike Seft's face at all, in fact. Emoticons are its main form of expression!

"We have Miho's original body... and three Forks that have accrued nearly a week of divergent time. There are also six Delta Forks as Kotone says..." She turns to look at Zwei... "How... did you enter? The teleporter did not even activate!"

    Well... whatever.

"I would like to compose my statements with care and consideration. But we are working on a time crunch, Miho... all of you." She looks at each in kind.

"The longer you are all aware as separate instances, the harder merging will become. It is already at a 'worst case.' Only a professional Psychosurgeon - the best of the best - could sort this out and combine you all. We are lucky that the researchers were at least conducting this project, abominable as it was, cautiously. With the exception of the Delta Forks, all of you are unchanged, according to the research records. Miho's ego was never removed from her original body," Rory nods once at Prime... then turns to the next... "But we have one separate instance, an Alpha Fork, a complete twin in every way..."

Then to the other two. "And... two Beta Forks. For you two this situation must feel the worst of all. It is normal to be missing memories and feel unusual. Please stay calm for now. Actually I mis-spoke..."

She sighs, though the noise is quite synthesized. The Servitor's shoulders shrug. "There is one more. A Gamma Fork. The copy process was so incomplete that she is missing most of her memories and probably skills. It is a miracle that she is not falling to pieces mentally... Gamma Forks are usually pitiful lost causes. We are not in a good situation here. As I am trying to play the role of doctor here, I do not think it is ethical to be anything but truthful. No amount of justice done to the perpetrators can undo this damage. I cannot even guarantee that a merge attempt would be successful... although, with the proper procedures, an ATTEMPT could be made without compounding the issue. When this kind of situation arises in habits from Transhuman space, another option is often... to adopt new identities and lives, or make new arrangements. Like treating each other as sisters, and going separate ways. I cannot make this choice for you... and I don't know what alternatives the others here might offer yet. You don't have some kind of miracle answer, do you, Zwei?"
Zwei     Pfft. Like Zwei is actually going to dodge around the issue because Staren is trying to be nice. They can be a lot more subtle and persuasive than the catboy genius when they want to, but they also have an empty care cup when it comes to social guidelines in places where it doesn't matter. Weiss forgos even using the radio, replying to him right out loud. "Oh come on, it's not like she doesn't know already. We're all friends here~" She turns to Miho. "Except I suppose we've never formally met! I mean, technically I got to look over your brain, but that's hardly the same thing now is it?" She extends both hands to both conscious Mihos. "I'm Weiss! One of Zwei's sub-units! Pleased to see you recovering!" She doesn't really feel the need to look towards Rory's servitor, knowing that she is the ship, and totally comfortable with that. "You were talking about forks last night. What are we talking here? A prime and three alphas? That's complicated."

The inside of the suitcase is just what Maaka ordered. It's mostly sourced from local materials to her world, so it can be repaired relatively easily and cheaply, provided it's done with the Flotilla's tools she has access to. The entire thing is a dark grey approaching black, but not quite hitting the onyx colour that actually manages to stand out at night, patterned faintly with some kind of digital camo expy. The basic layer of it is a skintight, flexible graphene underlayer for the sealed environment and applying pressure, both to simulate atmosphere and to resist g-forces or constrict bleeding if necessary with additional pressure, with an intermediate layer of armoured sections woven into the high mobility areas, and thicker hard plates over static sections, such as the chest, upper and lower arms and legs, and of course the helmet, constructed primarily of high impact ceramics sandwiched over pockets of liquid carbon dioxide, and coated in nanodiamond. The whole thing is thermally regulated, and has paramagnetic hardpoints wired into a compact, back mounted battery panel for weapon storage and walking in zero-g. The hardened outer layer, being transparent, shields the more sensitive reactive camo layer underneath, save for when the thruster ports behind the shoulders, lower back, elbows and calves are opened, since it's not going to be hiding bright, even if quiet, jets of fire anyways. The helmet comes with the standard; polarized visor, thermal and x-ray imaging, targeting software, radio access, etc. etc. as well as an extremely advanced rebreather that will recycle oxygen for longer than will ever be really necessary.
Staren     Staren folds his arms as one of the Mihos complains she feels like a floozy. "Geeze, take a little more pride in your own work."

Rory covers everything, pretty much. Staren nods. "Many things are possible in the Multiverse, but even if we had a Wish to work with, trying to wish it all better... you'd have to ask yourselves, what does that mean? What would /be/ better? If you don't know what you want... No amount of power can give it to you."
Alexis Maaka     Alexis doesn't seem to pay much attention to what's being discussed, as she goes over the suit itself. She's actually surprised by Zwei's upgrades, it barely resembles itself anymore with a new coat of paint and the modifications made to it. "Jesus, look at you now..." She mutters, before she takes a second to stand up and brings the suit with her.

She looks for a good spot to change, opting to hide inside a spare room before she begins to get changed.

Her clothes seem to disappear as they return to the matter manipulator, and the suit is equipped in its place. After a couple of minutes, she does return, helmet unfolded, breaking the new boots in as she adjusts the fit. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Zwei, it's almost like you made a whole new suit out of this old thing." She beams, walking over and clapping Weiss on the shoulder before she leans against a bed, arms folded...just in time for Staren to remark upon the floozy comment.

Oh man, the poor boy has no idea what kind of scolding glare he's getting from Alexis. "Yeah, 'cause these poor kids had a choice in the matter of being turned into mechanical sex slaves." She growls harshly,
Staren     Staren sputters and looks over at Alexis. "W-well that's not what's gonna happen now! I-I-I just meant why design a body that makes you feel horrible to be in??"
Kotone Yamakawa The Miho's and Kotone are listening to what's being said. Rory's giving a good way to explain things. They seem to get it but the Mihos are cringing once the talk hits the natuer of Betaforks. One looks to Rory for a moment.

"No it's not I can't recall anything from before the project on the latest companion model started."

The otehr Mihos are silent for the moment but it's clear they are thinking about things the talk ont he Gammafork just gets a horrifed look from all of them save the Prime.

"So she was able to escape I didn't make her but she had more of a chance out there than here. What would happen with a failed merge? Would I die?"

It's an honest question after all.

The forks all seem to get the longer it takes to make up their minds the harder this is going to be to remerge.

Zwei then lays it down pretty hard but she's also right.

"Hello Weiss it's good to see you."

Kotone cuts in here to bring Zwei up to date.

"The orginal, one Alpha, two Betas and six Deltas who were in cold storage. Those will not be an issue at the very least to deal with."

Hopefully it will help out and she also sees that there seems to be some gear testing going on here. Staren meanwhile is bringing up other ideas and STaren does bring up a few points about it. Kotone however is distracted on the matter at hand here. One of the beta forks just gives look for a long moment then the Prime and the other Alpha are all just /looking at them.

"The very thing I wanted to prevent, Microtech was trying to do."

The four all speak in unison without even thinking about it.

One of the beta's looks uneasy but speaks up

"I'd rather be part of something ... whole then left wandering around a broken fragment of someone." The other Beta and Alpha are silent at this point in time.
Staren     Staren looks back at the Mihos. He uncrosses his arms and puts his hands on his pockets, looking to the alphas and beta. "Well that's one decision. What about the rest of you? My point is, you need to decide what you want first. Then we'll figure out how to get there.
Alexis Maaka     Alexis ceases growling at Staren, and just shakes her head before glancing to the Mihos. "Aren't we missing one? I don't think we'd be much of a democracy without one of the girls to chime in." She points out.
Zwei     "Well, in this instance, get shot and die I guess?" Weiss says to Alexis, deliberately toeing the edge of teasingly facetious and blankly honest, as if daring her to try and figure out which. "Give it a shot in microgravity. Little puffs. Orienting your arms and legs should be pretty natural with that setup, like swimming or freefalling. You won't spin like crazy if you curl up or bend over either." She pats Staren on the shoulder. Poor, innocent Staren. You sweet summer child.

"Well, one alpha is better than three. Two betas isn't as bad as it could be. That one's got the idea. Your choices are basically 'be a coherent person again' or 'doubt the validity of your existence forever'. You don't want to go your whole life wondering if you have a soul or free will in any deeply personal sense. Trust me. Besides, what happens if you eventually find out that you hypothetically don't? It'll be too late to go back then." The hard hitting facts are coming hard and fast here, though that might be predictable from someone whose civilization has supposedly scientifically verified something approximating the existence of those two concepts. "Between all the people here, the chance of pulling this off right is as high as it's going to get. Delaying it only makes it more risky."
Staren     Staren sighs and glares at Zwei. "Don't scare her like that." Staren looks at the Mihos. "You're all people. If you care if you have souls, you do in any sense that matters. That's /why/ this is a decision /you/ have to make. If you weren't people, we'd just shut all of you off except for the" he makes finger-quotes, "'real one'." He puts his hands back in his pockets. "But you're /all/ real. Thus you have to decide."
Rory White     "At the point you're at, there's a good chance that the best merge may leave you mentally intact but... rattled. It will take some time to recover from the stress and sort yourself out." Rory answers truthfully. "But in the worst case the resultant Ego may suffer severe memory loss and skill loss, possibly even mental disorders. This is why Forks should always be made with a person's consent and intent. It is why merging should always be done within a matter of hours, a day or two at very most. Trying to merge FOUR Egos instead of two, all of them with separate experiences... however, three of the four are loaded in Cyberbrains of my world's make. One of which is an Alpha Fork. That procedure will probably be easier... most likely what would happen is, the three in Cyberbrains could be transferred through an Ego Bridge and merged into one. If successful, Miho 'Prime' would then be put into suspension and the main merge could be done. I will not lie. The process will involve a degree of Psychosurgery - editing your neurology so the merge can go smoothly - and loading in a Simulspace for psychological evaluations. Then the final result would be transferred into the original body. That is how I would do it-- ... Staren, Zwei, that's not at all helpful!"
Staren     Staren blinks at Rory. "What? You /told/ them the options. Attempt a merge, or start new identities. Or maybe they can think of something else. I'm... trying to encourage them to think about it."
Rory White     "I meant... the floozy comment you responded to by saying 'taking pride in your work.'" Rory's Servitor's shoulders droop again. "... Since I do not think that 'floozy' means what you think it means. When I understand that model is basically a Pleasure Pod."

After a pause, "Though bringing up the idea of what you just said is akin to saying, 'Do not worry, we aren't going to murder you and pretend there were no extras.' Are you not relying on your Muse to avoid social gaffes at ALL?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "She's been helping Rory around the ship it seems hell or high water won't stop her from finishing whatever chore she has to do first."

Speaking of that the factory stock model in terms of apperance Miho comes and is wearing some Argonaut jumpsuit of some sort he looks to Miho, the Prime one.

"Your the other me, who helped me get into that crate..."

She looks to Kotone and the others for a moment she's had several months to start forming memories on her own so she's not quite as shakey as she was before.

"I just had to ... finish cleaning the storage area, it was so chaotic."

She looks a bit sheepish and the then smiles at Alexis as she seems happy to see here.

Zwei is giving a very honest assessment of the situation the first Beta is nodding she seems sold on the idea of getting fixed with Miho Prime the other seems to be won over but the other alpha is giving a dour look and the Gamma whom has just arrived seems to be taking a moment to click on the situation as a whole.

"No..she's right they have only so much time."

Notes the other Alpha she doesn't seem sold on merging herself but the remaining Beta seems ot being won over here.

The Gamma picks up on time.

"I been me too long to be me again haven't I?"

Miho Alpha seems put off more and more by some things but Rory seem so get some good information out and she rubs her temples. "Either be a copy or dive back in huh, please tell me your ruining these /people/ who did this to us."

Miho Prime is looking to the others.

"It's their choice, I can't push them to do anything they don't want to do."

Staren's comment does get the Alpha to speak up after a bit more time.

"More pride maybe I was mistaken to help make these companion dolls in the first place, look where it's got me...us! Look I was designing these things so real people wouldn't be subjected to it as much as they used to. I'd hope in time we could put an end to the human sex trade with machines like this."

she points to her body.

"So long as no one was home was it wasn't a wrong thing to do but now..."
Zwei     "The truth is scary." Weiss shrugs at Staren, deliberately and pointedly refusing to entertain him. "Regular, baseline human beings already go nuts over their identity sometimes with bad enough experiences. It's a serious mental health risk at this point, which they're already unhappy about. This stuff is difficult and personal, and these girls had it done it by force without even having the chance to think about it and come to a satisfying conclusion beforehand." Her luminous green eyes flicker over to the catboy at the last part. "Would you? If I got someone in here right now who could tell you, hypothetically, that none of them but the prime have any soul whatsoever, and are just sophisticated but predictable AIs mimicking self-awareness without sapience, would you actually shut them down? Because I don't think you would, or rather, I think you'd want to, but you'd find some way to rationalize your way out of the fact you couldn't. They're people to you, but they might not even feel like people to themselves, and like you said, they get to decide, not you." It might be worth realizing that this is actually the first time Zwei has weighed in on the philosophy of the consciousness, the ego, identity, and the ghost in the machine paradox. It's not all coming from Weiss though.

/*You're really full of this stuff you know.*/
//And yet they agree. You cannot hope to sway hearts on all matters with logic, tone and body language.//
/*Well that's why I have two of me I guess.*/
//There are advantages to an actively battling conscious concensus.//

Weiss smiles when the Mihos seem to agree with her, despite being cognizant of the risks posed by Rory. "Come on, there's like, three super computers here and two experts on this kind of tech. /Everyone/ here is transhuman or effectively posthuman. You sound like a surgeon general Rory. Nobody ever worries about that fine print for more than five minutes after they read the side of the bottle."
Staren     Staren blinks at Rory. "Now is a time for truth, not politeness." He rubs his head and looks at Weiss. "Sorry for telling you to stop earlier. You were right. I hoped we'd have more time..." He looks back to the Alpha in the sex doll. "I see... sorry, I misunderstood..." He scratches the back of his head. "S'not a bad idea, really. But no matter what you do... there's always going to be horrible people in the world. It's not your fault microtech misused them."

Staren looks to Zwei. "Hmmm... I don't believe that P-Zombies exist. Sorry, I don't mean that in a... I mean they're conceptually self-contradictory. Maybe, /maybe/ a recording or preprogrammed set of responses could fool someone in a specific situation, sure... but the only way to react to /everything/ like a person, is to /be/ a person."
Rory White     "Helping these people, maybe, but I do not think the goal or your methods are a mistake." Rory White speaks up quickly, warmly. "Though I don't understand this human desire at all, it's as important an instinct as feeding is, psychologically. Solving social problems with tools, ingenuity, and industry is one of the most admirable things humans can do. So for that you SHOULD take pride in your work... so I believe."

"But Microtech is doomed. That, at least, we CAN guarantee. I for one will not let them get... 'off the hook' for this crime. This is inexcusable. The technology they so desired to exploit was freely available from the start. If they wished to have a sex worker AI they needed only download one. If they wanted to learn about Transhuman technology they had no need to kidnap and psychologically torture people without their knowledge or consent. What is happening here is a clear effort by the Planetary Consortium - some aspects of it, anyways - to expand their influence by wheeling and dealing. They found likeminded individuals... and you were caught up in it."
Alexis Maaka     Alexis smirks at Staren's admonishment, as well as what might be a joke from Zwei. The suggestions are acknowledged as she nods to the Armiger, "Should make EVA much easier now that I can propel myself. What other stuff do we got with this? The gloves and boots feel a bit different now, I noticed." She says, flexing her hands.

All she can do is agree with the others. The Mihos are to choose their own path in life, they deserve that much after having their lives stolen from them. "Until otherwise, we'll do what we can to ensure your safety, all of you. We owe you that much after rescuing you all." She says, to all of them.

Choice, that's a word that Maaka frowns hearing, "I know a lot of the things about me before i became this were wiped, and it was hell trying to get my memories back. I still don't have a clear picture yet, and I don't know if I'll ever be that lucky. What I do know, is that there's no reversing what was forced on me by the company...so I'm better off using it to my advantage." She muses. "I know that you didn't have the luck of choice either in what they did to you...and for that, I am truly sorry. We've done our best to ensure that you're all safe, and that Microtech has been taken to task. Like Rory says, they won't be able to spin what they've done to you." She says cooly. Sounds like she's speaking from experience.
Rory White     And in comes the Gamma. Rory... actually wanders in after her. The Servitor toddling off. Seems she resleeved in about ten seconds!

Brushing blue hair over a shoulder and adjusting her robes, she puts a hand on the Gamma's shoulder. The most comforting gesture she knows.

"I think in your case it would be very dangerous. ... you are... you are a miracle, to be honest. Statistically, most Forks in your situation barely qualify as people. That you are standing up straight, making rational choices, and not suffering from severe dementia or some similar condition is simply astounding. As respectable as that is, your divergence from the others is the greatest. The future will be hard, but you needn't face it alone."
Kotone Yamakawa "The call in the end is indeed Miho's err all of your choices."

Kotone is looking like she's having trouble keeping track of everything. The Mihos are in various states of how they are feeling the first Beta looks and says "If the other me wants it I think it's best to merge back I'm just missing too much I'd always wonder about things In the end I think."

That's one down for sure and the other Beta seems to be wavering at this as well it's looking like she's slowly being conviced yes merging may indeed be the best idea given shat could happen at this point.

She pauses for a moment.

"This wait everything above me was in on it. I'm the highest placed person who wasn't in on it. Does this mean if there's anything left I'm the err we're in charge of the company now?"

The other Alpha facepalms.

"I can be such a ferret, still you might be right but what's in it for me to remerge with her?!"

The Gamma now looks to Alexis and the others.

"I would make things harder, I been awake too long, right. I think I might try to go be someone else to be me? Somewhere away from your world, Kotone, Miho? Me? The Argonauts...they have a station do they have a cafe...?"

It seems the Gamma fork's made up her mind and has an bit of a plan, it's a simple plan but a good one to build an idenity off of, one that gives her a lot of social contact.

The Alpha is being the most stubborn but can you fault her for it?

The other beta at last relents.

"If Microtech's going down what need do I have fine I'll go get all up and personal with the other me mmmm."

the other Mihos just sigh, she said a horrible joke the others were thinking but managed not to say.
Zwei     Weiss doesn't seem too terribly bothered by the Gamma Miho's decision, but then she basically never seems to be anything she doesn't want to. She might just be okay with it for the way it raises the odds of success and loses very little in the merge. She looks to the Alpha. "You're fighting a losing battle here y'know. You're in a comfy position now, but you're only going to hate yourself later if the betas merge fine and the prime winds up being 'more' than you. You're not going to die. Not any more than you die every night when you go to sleep and lose your uninterrupted train of consciousness."
Rory White     "What...? ... If nothing else, the fact that you could...that you are... also in those shoes?" Rory White blinks at the Alpha. But she's blinking a little confusedly.

She ends up nodding to Zwei after listening to her words, agreeing. And then adds for the Gamma's benefit, "That is a great idea. It should work out well!"
Staren     Staren shrugs as each makes her choice. The Prime's is effectively 'merge with whoever wants it'. He turns to the alpha. "What's in it for you? You'll be them. You won't have to be someone else. Although, I suppose... they have no more claim to continue your old life than you do. Not sure how we'll resolve that if you want it too... But perhaps you don't. If you do, though... then I think merging would be best. You can't /both/ have your old life back, and... I don't think either of you would be happy forcing the other to do something else... even if you /can/ agree on a fair way to decide."
Alexis Maaka     Alexis nods to Zwei, "She's right." She tells the Alpha, "We might as well try our best to merge you all together if everyone consents to it, but the sooner we come to a decision the better, not to mention the more of you say yes means we risk less." To be honest, all this talk is making it hard for Alexis to catch up with the others, only adding her own two cents.
Kotone Yamakawa The Alpha listens and sighs she seem too happy but she can see where everyone is coming from.

"I'd have to start over, given the legal laws about clones back home. Clones can not inherit things for example, all right but one thing."

She walks up to Miho Prime and then whispers something to her which make Prime turn very bright red. She sputters but says nothing else while the Alpha looks back to the party.

"I'd have to start over, nothing, get a new idenity new body I just ... want to be me. So I guess this is the best way, I'll merge."

Kotone looks neutral to the reuslts here.

"Then we best get to work on this, shouldn't we?"

One of the betas speaks up.

"Should we be like put sleep to keep it easier to fix all of us?"

The Alpha sighs.

"Lets get this over with. The sooner the better."

The Gamma hangs back watching, part of her did want to go back but she also understood how dangerous it would be for her and Miho and she didn't want that. She's got a road ahead of herself and she knows it.

"I'll be looking up things, I want a body and face to call my own...though I think keeping this maybe might be a good idea."

She's got a thought about this one. She looks to the other Mihos, Zwei, Kotone, Staren, Roy and Alexis.

"I do hope all of you come to visit at some point."
Alexis Maaka     Alexis just frowns, "I don't think I wanna consider what would happen if we did this with you all awake." She mutters. "Think of it as dreaming of a warm place...and when you wake up, you'll be there." She says, reaching over to run her fingers through one of the Mihos' hair softly.

"I'll come back soon, I promise." These girls are brave for what they're going through, and Alexis owes them whatever support she can afford.
Rory White     "It would be for the best, yes. Although we can't simply... 'switch off' the original flesh-and-blood body so easily, so we still need to hurry. I'm already making calls as it is." Rory answers... but she cants her head puzzledly at the apparently rogue Alpha. "Well... whatever you please. You might like to spend some time in Transhuman space to unwind. Luna is full of fun things to do, for a good start. So is Mitre Station!"

Well she claims she's making calls. But that's not obvious. Such is the advantage of MENTAL CONTROLS!
