Yari Takane Yari's room in Dun Realtai is much like the one back in the Citadel: a nightstand, a tv, some wall scrolls with Doman sayings and a few ceremonial weapons on the wall. There's also a kunai or two deliberately left in the ceiling above the bed. To quote Yari, 'It's a good reminder'.

Yari, for her part, is laid up in her bed in a garishly pink kimono with turtles on it. Her fashion sense is /not/ the best. Still, she looks comfortable, and from the sounds of things Linh has been berating her mother for the past hour. Only /now/ does she sigh, give the tired ninja a kiss on the forehead, and the little girl finally walks out to work off some frustration.

Yari reaches over to Constantine, petting the little turtle as he plays in his tiny Turtle Bath (tm).
Sanary Rondel      Sanary's been hard at work making sure Yari's been as comfortable as possible! Bringing food, booze, extra pillows and blankets, too much of the previously mentioned items to the point that it'd take a small adventuring party to clear through all of it in one night, and checking on Linh to reassure the girl that everything's okay now and nothing can go bad now.

Never mind the fact that Sanary's still wearing the same blood-stained fuzzy armor she had been wearing last night and doesn't appear to have slept well if her sluggishness is any indication. NOTHING. BAD. EVER. Constantine even gets a little bowl of turtle food pellets next to that turtle bath!
Mihk Lihzeh     A certain Miqo'te is a first time visitor to these parts. Currently bundled up in a heavy robe, thick cloves and a hat that covers her ears against the cold, Mihk Lihzeh approaches Dun Realtai with no visible weapons, save for perhaps the golden glowing familar scampering along at her heel.

She hails down a guard, or a local resident and enquires to the whereabouts of Yari, thanking them for their time once she's received directions.

Approaching the door, the Miqo'te must hop back as Linh comes out of the room, remaining quiet as the girl passes, before peeking around the doorjam into the room proper. "Centurion?" she asks, then blinks as she spots Sanary. "Ah, Captain..."
Mantigora One shouldn't really be surprised to see Mantigora prowling the corridors of Realtai. She still had her suspicions that wasn't the last they would see of those ninjas even if they did obliterate a majority of the clan last night, and with the things they had already done, not putting it past some obsessed psychotic loner trying to sneak into citadel on a suicide mission to try and finish the job. Even if that would be absurd.

If there's one thing the Multiverse has taught her, it's that absurd does not mean impossible. So keeping a healthy bit of paranoia wasn't a bad thing.

As she passes near Yari's quarters she notes Mihk arriving and Linh leaving, so Mantigora meanders over to see what's up. "Looks like visiting hours have started."
Yari Takane Yari, for the most part, is a happy lizard. At least as much as one can be in the circumstances. Her sleep has been utterly awful, waking up several times screaming. Her body is in almost perfect condition, but the mental trauma of death and coming back is likely to leave a mark on the ninja for some time. So too, she seems drained, her magic very easily sensed as diminished, if recovering.

Constantine lets out a turtle sound of worry for his commanding officer.

Yari smiles to Sanary. "...You should consider some rest yourself, Sanary. Don't push yourself too hard." Unspoken words of thanks linger in her eyes.

And then, her favorite filthy Eorzean barbarian arrives. There's that usual judging look that's all but become a running joke for the ninja. She's come to appreciate the miqo'te despite their allegiances.

"Thank you for taking the time to come here, Miss Lihzeh. Staying healthy and keeping morale high, Ma'am? Come on in."

Linh stops as she notes Mantigora. She blinks. "Are you one of Mother's allies?" The odd bounty hunter just seems to reek of the same type of person on many levels to the young girl. Linh is a gifted, perceptive young woman that might have made a wonderful hunter if not for her own Mother's wishes and her own inclinations.
Sanary Rondel      Hearing Mihk, Sanary offers her a lazy wave and appreciative grin. It still feels odd being called Captain, but the grin does widen just a bit. It feels good. "Hey, Mihk. Thanks for coming. Yari's stable now, but... Nn. Keep feeling like I missed something." She chuckles awkwardly and keeps scurrying around the room, checking corners and out windows just to make sure nothing else is hiding somewhere.

Spotting Mantigora, she lets out a relieved sigh before waving the Draken inside. "Hey, Manti. Aah.. Just about, yeah. See any.. Uh. Anything weird out there?" She can't be too careful, after all! Yari's suggestion gets a light chuckle and shake of her head in response. "I'll be fine, don't worry. Gotta burn off all this extra energy, anyway."

She even laughs broadly at that, sounding much more awake than she looks. Did she actually drink coffee for once?
Mantigora Mantigora gives Linh a more casual smile than her usual predatory one. "Your mother and I have had fair share of adventures together, yes. Don't worry, this won't keep her down longer than necessary."

Then she ducks in the doorway at Sanary's beckoning, shaking her head a bit. "No. Everything seems normal around here again. Hopefully after what happened to them the clan gives up their little plot..." She pauses, tailtip giving an annoyed flick as she briefly scowls. "But revenge has habit of digging in claws and not letting go. Better to be on our guard now than regret it later."
Mihk Lihzeh     Mihk looks back to Mantigora when she hears the Draken approach. "Ah, Miss Mantigora, good to see you again." she offers, before wandering over to Yari's bedside. "I do what I am able, Centurion."

Sanary's relaying gets the Miqo'te to nod, and she simply sits and provides company... though her mismatched eyes lay on Sanary herself more than Yari, now. "Captain, you should at least rest. Other Elites are present now, we will not allow anything to happen to the Centurion."

Carbuncle, for its part, hops up onto Yari's bed, squeaks softly, and scampers up to cuddle beside the ninja.
Yari Takane Yari sighs a little, concern in her eyes, but eventually relents. "Well, it's your call. ...I'd probably be doing the same." Indeed, if their rolls were reversed, the ninja wouldn't be able to sleep either.

Linh looks at Mantigora, peering, and gives the best /judging/ look a girl her age can give. Then she smiles. "Then I'll trust you for now." She finally decides, then she's on her way.

Mantigora gets a flick of her tail and a nod. "We can only hope. The other ninja were definitely mercenaries, and we killed a majority of them. The other one that I took out is back at the Citadel. But there was that one we blinded. I don't recall seeing her."

Carbuncle! Yari happily snuggles with the little summon. She's a fan of all things cute, and soon the little thing is hefted to curl up on her stomach. Ear-scritches go!

"Do we have any other matters to clean up? I'll admit, I'm a bit worried about Archer. Miss Tohsaka is an opponent I'd fight against and alongside any time, but that man is ruthless. He's a stain on the Union's honor, and a threat to everyone."
Sanary Rondel      Sanary does sound a little relieved at Mantigora's confirmation and Mihk's reassurances, following that advice in not dropping her guard. If nothing else, the cleric can still act as a human shield for Yari and her visitors even in that fatigued state! "Good to hear. I... Uh. Should stop by the bathroom soon, at least."

It's not quite sleep, but a small break is still a break. That'll have to wait until later, however, as she turns to watch Carbuncle with an amused chuckle. "Yeah, we'll need to interrogate that one later. Or just... Have fun with it." She doesn't sound too picky. Sanary's expression does darken a bit at the mention of Archer, however, and she picks up a bottle of water to chug from before scratching her neck.

"That's going to be a thing. I know Rin did... Something to put him on a leash, but I don't know how much that'll do. And he's still an assturd, so... Hn."
Mantigora Mantigora snorts sharply at the mention of Archer. While she disliked his desecration of what had at the time been Yari's corpse just as much as the ninjas' actions, under the circumstances she was blaming the ninja's cowardice in using it for a shield for necessitating the action more than the Servant's brutality. This time, at least.

On the other hand, fighting alongside Archer also gave one insight to what to expect if they went up against such an opponent. As the elder Vertibreaker often said, one does not have to LIKE the enemy to RESPECT them.

"It takes all kinds to fight a war," is all she really has to say in the end, shrugging her shoulders slightly. "His presence is prehaps sign that Union is finally learning they cannot simply coddle every issue into submission."
Yari Takane Yari smirks just a bit at Sanary. "She's all yours. Just make sure she's still...functional. I'll need to ask a few questions of my own. Plus I want to practice a few interrogation illusions that might be useful later."

Pause. "You're really turning into a good interrogator, Sanary." An odd thing to be proud of!

An eye closes. Frown. "We'll see how long it lasts. I'm all for depriving the Union of assets, at the least."

Then her frown turns to a feral grin. "They could use people with his ruthlessness. I could respect them more if they did. But it's loyalty I question. Well, he's an issue we'll work on when I can actually think well. My head is pounding, and I think my mind's having trouble registering my new body." Nnngh. Cough.

By now, Constantine has crawled over to join the Carbuncle-au'ra cuddlepile. The turtle snugs up to his office /and/ the fluffy little summon! Yari makes the mistake of closing her eyes under all of the sensation of concerned friends and allies, and warm pets keeping her relaxed. There's soon gentle snoring.

Ten minutes later, a certain Linh joins in, snuggled up to her Mother quietly, just to make sure she's safe.
Mantigora Mantigora nods a bit. "Everything when the time comes for it. For now you need to re--" And Yari is already out like a light thanks to the snugglepile. "--Well, that's a thing." The Draken turns to amble back to the doorway. "Now would be a good time to take a break yourself, Sanary. I will stay at the door until you return."
Sanary Rondel      Even Sanary has to admit there's some tactical use in having someone around willing to go that far. She's not pleased about it in the slightest, of course, and it's apparent just from expression even though she doesn't actually say anything to that effect in response to Mantigora's observation.

Thankfully, Yari's there to pick her mood right back up! Even if it does involve using healing in terrible ways. "We'll... Yeah, we'll work on that later. You rest up, and I'll... Yeah, I guess I'll try and rest up some, too." She waits until the Au Ra's asleep with her daughter before heading for the door, saluting Mantigora and Mihk on her way out.

"Thanks for coming, both of you. I won't be long. Just gonna lay down back and... Yep." She flashes the two an appreciative grin, then goes back to one of the guest chambers to zonk out!
