Scene #3589: Down Time (Maya & Samus)

Maya	So Maya's been always lurking in the background of the union but she'd was seldom in the HQ, this was not one of those times she'd been getting away from some things over the holidays. SO here she was taking some time to kickback and relax, she's just starting to come from the Infinite Library carrying a leather bound tome. She's a bit odd to look it in terms of how she appears. Long blue hair, some visible tribal like tattoos on her arms as she looks over the boom? She's a bit distracted, whatever the content certainly have the Blue hired woman's attention and she's not watching entirely where she's going. "Humm if this is true, then it might actually be possible, to finally clean up that mess back in Jinac." An odd term but it sounds like it's some sort of place as the woman's green eyes continue to dart over the pages as she moves.
Samus Aran	Samus Aran was just arriving from the shuttlebay. She is holding a folded garment. She is just in her Zero Suit, a tight blue jumpsuit. She is heading to her quarters, but decided on the scenic route. Seeing a blue-haired woman, she then states, "Hi there," she muses softly. "I dont' think we've met. I'm Samus Aran. Was just heading to my quarters but took the long way." She smiles faintly.
Maya	Maya pauses at Samus she looks up at the taller woman snapping out of her own little world. Maya closes the book and looks the woman oer. She doesn't see bothered by the jumpsuit. "No I don't think we havem we talked a bit on the radio though. My name is Maya and it's good to meet you. If your wondering Last names are not exactly common where I'm from. The quarters here are pretty nice I have found."
Samus Aran	Samus Aran nods. "I have a... memento that I need to display," she states, showing the robes. "In my room. As a reminder. I went undercover as a temple priestess to capture a criminal. And they told me I could come back anytime..." She smiles faintly as she starts heading towards her quarters. "Join me? It is nice to meet you, Maya."
Maya	Maya says "I know how that is, I got quite a few things from my own adventures? Sounds like Temple was thankful that you caught this person." Maya now closes her book and grins a bit. "I don't see why not if your offering, I'd be happy to join you."
Samus Aran	Samus Aran heads towards her room. Opening the door - Samus hasn't decorated at all. "I was never the sentinemtal type. I felt invincible. Those days are long over though," she states as she ponders, and then simply puts the folded robes on top of the dresser. "Hmmmmmm." She then takes down one of the generic pictures hung in it, puts the robes on a hanger, and hangs them up in her room. "Better. So, what do you do?" she asks. "Your job."
Maya	Maya follows after Samus for the moment as she heads on in. "I know how that feels, sometimes you think your going to live forever." She takes a good look about the room tkaing it in, she notices it's very bare bones but Samus has moved in. "I'm a junker if I'm anything. My people salvaged junk tossed over the edge of the contient layer above us. salvage what we can, smelt the rest for raw materials and trading. Though I would also be considered a mage."
Samus Aran	Samus Aran nods. "I don't do magic. But my armor is armed with blasters, missiles, bombs, limited 'flying' abilities, and superspeed..." She shrugs. "Hmmmmm...." she cilcks her tongue as she sits down on the bed. "What do you mean, the 'continent layer above you'?"
Maya	Maya says, "Nice payload from the sounds of it. It's what I say my home world Sepeterra is made up of seven layers of floating contients and a living biocomputer core at the center that Regulates the rotating of all the world shells." Maya's grinning here as she's long been aware world's like her are quite rare.
Samus Aran	Samus Aran raises an eyebrow. "That sounds fascinating. I'm glad I never had to go there for any of my bounties." She sighs softly, clicking her tongue.
Maya	Maya says "Fair enough though if you ever do? I know the leaders of the largest bounty huntng guild on the planet. I guess I can see how it would bother people from other world bus to me it's home and creeped out by things like Oceans, never had seen so much water at once before, when I saw my first one."
Samus Aran	Samus Aran nods. "I wouldn't mind meeting other bounty hunters... though I normally work alone. Last time I worked with other hunters - they got corrupted and I had to put them down." She sighs softly.
Maya	Maya says "I can get that depending the line of work. I presume this wasn't the sort of corruption that involves bribes or other items was it?" Maya seems toi have an idea given the sorts of things Samus has mentioned on the radio about her home worlk. "Still if you worked there getting in contact witht hem would prevent ruffled feathers."
Samus Aran	Samus Aran nods. "I mean corrupted with a radioactive mind-controlling substance and they went insane. I considered one of them a friend as well... but it was not to be..." She shakes her head. "I almost went mad myself from it."
Maya	Maya Says "You did what you had do. IOf there was no saving them? I don't think whatever was left of your comrades would fault you for stopping them. I also get why you'd want to work alone. Some peopel are better at it than others. Still prehaps your place could use a bit to it, it's a bit more barren than my own room back home to be honest." Maya seems to be fairly comfortable about Samus from how she's behaving anf from her tone she does seem interested in her.
Samus Aran	Samus Aran nods as she just goes to lay on the bed. "Well - thanks for your company, but I believe I am going to turn in early. I just flew here from a distant planet and some rest in a safe place is a luxury I have to get used to." She smiles. "I'll stay on Union channels."
Maya	Maya grins a bit. "Don't I know it, it's strange being in some place so safe somedays. I'll do the same it's been good to Meet you Samus. Hopefully we can meet up again at a later time." Maya will turn to leave and shut the door on her way out.
