Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr is standing atop a barn in a fairly expansive farming complex... it's really rustic, barns, coops, a fairly large estate house and a dormitory building for resident workers, and beyond the ring of buildings... fields full of wheat, corn, barley, cabbage, anything and everything you could imagine, as far as the eye can see from the ground.

Anyone with energy detecting abilities or technology, would mark a HUGE spike of power from the entire area of the farm. It's suffused with magical energy... and for good reason.

The farm is not only encased within a Barrier to prevent collateral damage, it's also literally pulsing with energy. Every surface seems to be vibrating on three different dimensional planes, giving a visual distortion effect like looking through triple-plate glass. "Can anyone read me. This is Zephyr Windstar. We've found the source of the Lost Logia. Coordinates follow. I repeat..." she repeats the call a few times, pinging coordinates on all bands... "I hope that got through, there's a lot of interference here... Divine Wind, status?"

<BARRIER INTEGRITY IS HOLDING. BARRIER TEAM CHARLIE IS MAINTAINING PERIMETER AND WILL ALLOW ANY SUPPORT ELITE FORCES ENTRY. CURRENT MAGICAL CONCENTRATION IS REACHING LOWER LEVEL TOXICITY LEVELS. ESTIMATE TIME TO DIMENSION QUAKE: FOUR HOURS AT CURRENT CLIMB RATE.> chimes the Device as it sets up, cladding the Mage in her Barrier Jacket, and taking its more commonly seen Windshear form, a large two-blade battleaxe.
Alexis Distress calls tend to be bad news, but they're usually a good way to get attention too.

As luck would have it the interference isn't much of a problem since Alexis was, relatively speaking with the immense size of multiversal regions, not far away exploring a wilderness area. At least it was close enough to pick up and divert a course to.

The Trainer isn't hard to notice when she arrives either. I'm not talking about the pink hair, either. I'm talking about the fact that she comes in riding on the back of a large goat with a mossy green and tan coat, guiding it by holding it's horns as one would the handlebars on a lowrider. "A farm, really? Can't problems ever go find someplace less important to make a mess of?"
Nasrin A rustic area, farms and outbuildings, it had been an ideal day for a training lesson with her charges -- but when the contact came through, Nasrin couldn't resist the call to arms -- it was too close to not be of help.

She had given her charges orders to stay put, and left them to their own devices before she sped to the scene. When she arrives, it's on horseback, a dark gray mare with its tail riding high like a banner as she follows Alexis in.

"If it were less important," she gives a wry smile, hazel eyes turning to the Trainer, "it would not be a problem." the Assassin replies, sliding from her mount.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian also arrives on a horse. Mind, very definitely spooked horse. Eyes are wide and ears are folded back sharply. But at least it doesn't throw him or bolt. The operative word becomes 'yet', it seems, because as soon as Dorian dismounts, the horse begins to back away. A few steps back, and then the beast turns and bolts. Dorian sighs. "...Why do I get the feeling the horse may be smarter than I am this time?" he mutters.

Alexis's words get a smirk. "Oh now where would be the fun in that?" he says. His tone is, notably, sarcastic. Clearly he shares her opinion. Nasrin's words also get a response, "Exactly." He heads to where the two are situated, figuring whoever arrives he's going to need to team up with. That's as good a place as any to form up.
Kyle Katarn     It doesn't take long for the Raven's Claw to arrive, and Kyle is quick to join the girls when they arrive. Riding via a speeder bike, he makes a point to avoid knocking people aside as he rides by. "Better than a city. Less collateral damage." He muses, before hopping off his bike.

He radios Zephyr by commlink, speaking clearly. "This is Kyle Katarn, what's the situation and how can we help here?" He says, drawing his lightsaber before taking off towards the farm and barrier.
Alden Alden decided to answer the distress call as soon as he heard it, it can't be worse than the debacle with the space marines! and he made it through that one!. He makes his way to the area, thankfully not really affected by the magical interference. (unless it has some effect on computer data, if that's the case... it'sbad for him). He is familiar with farms, and finds the area rather calm... despite the magical oddness. He spends a few moments watching the gathered people, waving around. As for how he arrived?, he simply used his garurumon form until he got to an area close, and decides to introduce himself in his gabumon form.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa had caught wind of the job abd was happy to take it but the information had left her a bit wary of it still here she is. She didn't wnat to leave these thing running wild. She understood how much trouble they are in for more or less.

"Because maybe it is, but we got a job to do here, right? We might as well get to it, Dorian."
Zephyr Windstar     The arriving Elites would see the large, discoloured dome of the Barrier first. Once they're gathered up, another Mage arrives, his Device glowing the same hue as the Barrier. "Are you here to help?" he asks, rhetorically. "I'll open the way into the Barrier... be careful, Zephyr's in there alone, and we're getting readings that indicate a Dimension Quake is building up... Zephyr'll have more information, she's in the middle of that shitstorm."

The Mage opens a 'veil' in the Barrier, letting the group inside, before it seals behind them.

Zephyr turns as she detects new presence. "Hey guys. We're narrowed the thing down to this farm complex, but we can't get a /fix/ on it because it's building up to rip a planet-sized chunk out of the Plains... I can't cover the entire area alone in the time we have, and if I use a Wide Area Search I might set it off prematurely."
Kyle Katarn     "Yeah." Kyle shakes hands with the young mage, with introductions done at a brisk pace before he makes his way through the opening in the barrier. "What are we looking for?" He asks Zephyr when he gets in earshot.

Already he's begun sensing out with the Force, trying to lock onto the weird signature of the Lost Logia. He's not sure if this is possible, but one can only give it the old college try when it comes to weird magic artifacts. After all, the Force /has/ worked in detecting things on other worlds before, right?
Alexis "No, we're the local girl scout troop, want some cookies?" Alexis replies sarcasticly to the mage, but with a smirk meant only to lighten the moment with a little humor. As if the fact that she's way too old to be a girl scout isn't enough hint that it's a joke.

Cracking wise doesn't stop her from meandering through the temporary opening though, and Zephyr is quick with a farther explaination. Though it gets bit of a scrunched face made at it. Dimensional Quake? Why do this things never have reassuring names, either.

Though before she can get a chance to ask more one of her pokeballs hisses open of its own accord and a flash of energy later her female Meowstic is standing next to her. The nekomata-like pokemon looks around a bit, then makes a big unsettling grin. (Oooh I can practically -taste- the unnatural energies. Is the world going to end? That would be a delightful beginning to the evening.)

Alexis lets out a sigh. Is this what Misty had to deal with Psyduck always popping out at the worst possible moments? "Dial back the creep factor, cat." She's even a little too annoyed to pay attention to the -digimon she hasn't seen before- standing over there. "We're here to find whatever that is and preferrable -not- destroy the place in the process."

(*sigh* A shame.) All the same Catalyst puts her forepaws to her temples and tries scanning the energy spikes with her Psychic powers.
Alden Alden approaches slowly, he is not liking the mention of a planet sized chunk explosion or Dimensional Quake. He waves around, smiling, hoping not to make anyone freak out. "So, what is it that we are looking?" he asks softly, tail twitching as he looks for familiar faces. "So we split, and send a signal if we see something?" he asks. The introduction of a pokemon makes him squeak, rather surprised, and looking at the odd... felineish creature. He can't help getting closer for a better look at the creature.
Nasrin     /Well./ Finally, Nasrin finds one of her skills useful. She draws a slightly curved blade, its handle made to look like an eagle's talon and its guard set as a pair of wings. HEr eyes search, her Eagle Vision activating as she tilts her head, gazing down into the farmlands, her hood obscuring most of her face. The dark haired girl pauses as she gives a sidelong look to the Jedi, eyeballing his weapon in curiosity.

At the strange creature the trainer carries in, she gives a wry little smile.

"I like your cat." she replies to the Meowstic. "Splitting sounds like a good way to cover ground." she agrees with Alden.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian pauses at Alden's arrival, having to look twice. He's not quite sure what Alden is, actually. But he's been exposed to enough weirdness to not freak out. So he just offers a nod of greeting. Kotone's statement gets a chuckle. "Oh, of course," he agrees. "That's why I'm here." A smile.

He enters the 'veil' in the Barrier with the others, listening to Zephyr's explanation. "Yes, that sounds like an event we'd ideally like to avoid. Particularly while we're here," he comments. Alexis's joke gains more ridiculousness for the males in the group. Dorian also comments, "I think that would be a little beyond even my capability." Being a girl, that is. He also nods to Nasrin's agreement. "Probably the best way to go about this, if we've a time limit."

Then Dorian pauses a moment, to center himself. Then he too opens his magical senses to the area, following suit with the others. His hand is held up as a sensory point. It's easier for him to follow it that way. He will step away form the others, in a direction that isn't covered, and try to see what he can find that way.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Says "Did we clear out the aqrea of locals first I hope?"

She doesn't seem to be too happy, no this brings back memories for her bad ones. She deploys several drones to scout ahead an d help them cover more ground. She looked to Alexis for a moment then to Dorian and also Alden got a note from her. Narshin was an unknown to her but she got the ide od what they had to do. "If we have to split up let's stay in close contact with eachother."
Zephyr Windstar     "Area's clear of civvies. And the Barrier should contain any collateral damage we cause. Don't be afraid to blast a hole to get somewhere." remarks Zephyr. "I'll stay here, it's central and I can route comms through Divine Wind locally, better than trying to route a signal out."

Jedi Senses, Eagle Vision and various Psychic Probing ping up three 'possible' marks. It might be three artifacts, or the dimensional shifts are affecting such skills as well, if the visual distortions are anything to go by.
Alexis "(Oh I do believe reality is already breaking down~)" The Meowstic sounds way too cheerful about this potential problem. That said she lowers her paws to point in one direction as her eyes stop glowing. "(The closest 'ping' is in that direction.)"

"Then lets go check it out." Alexis starts to follow, but stops when the Gogoat she rode in on her abruptly snaps stiff, then bleats loudly and drops over on his side much like one of those infamous 'fainting goat' videos. "Oh for Mew's sake..."

"(I do believe the madness is setting in. Such luck to be the first to experience it)"

Alexis just shoots the psychic a sharp look. "Worry about that rift or whatever it is you detected." Ugh, Psychics already make her uneasy, why did her relatives have to send her one of -those-? "Grass types are sensative to nature, all the disruption is probably just messing with him." She recalls the goat into his ball before turning to follow after Catalyst.
Nasrin     Nasrin cracks her neck a moment, and rolls her sword arm's shoulder. Her gloves grip tigher at her blade as she exhales, relaxing her sight and blinking away the strain.

"I see three marks. If one group heads to each, it should be easily enough dispatched. I will take the second mark." Nasrin replies to Alexis, glancing between the assembled guard, glancing to the others and giving a shrug.
Alden      For better or worse, the Gabumon seems to be drawn to the pokemon trainer, perhaps he is reminded a bit of digimon and tamer relationships. He is curious about why the Meowstic is not talking, following close. "So, where do we go?... I don't get... magic... I mean, I don't really even sense it." he chirps, rubbing the back of his head, looking around a bit. The fainting goat gets him worried, "Is that goat ok?" he asks, before seeing it fade away. He ponders for amoment, "If you know where we should go, I can offer you a ride." he says. One has to wonder exactly how, when he is so small.
Kyle Katarn     "Sounds good to me. THird mark's on me." Kyle nods, before he takes off towards where the third source is emanating from. For someone of his age he can certainly move pretty fast, and he won't turn away backup if others decide to join him along the way.

His senses reach out around him, guiding him and keeping him aware of the environment while he runs and jumps, careful to avoid tripping over something deadly in his path.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian frowns, unable to resolve the search down to a single point. But three 'definite maybes' are better than 'somewhere in this hundred or so acre farm'. People begin to split up, and Dorian decides to accompany Kyle to the third mark. Alexis has a great deal of backup in her Pokemon, and Nasrin looks fast enough to run if something should explode. He's not really sure what Kyle can bring to it. So as he heads in Kyle's direction, he notes with a smirk, "I hope you don't mind a tagalong."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Says "Good, that should make our lives a heck of a lot easier then Zephyr." Kotone Notes as she moves in and makes her weapons ready as her drones flan out though the nature of this thing. She takes a step foward for a moment. "Scouts are live I'll let you know if they spot anything."
Zephyr Windstar     TEAM 1: The 'ping' is located in the Dormitory building. It seems to be in the very center, within a distorted maze of branching paths. It might be affecting local geometry to a nearly non-Euclidian scale. The 'blow holes' approach might be preferential here.

TEAM 2:The barn on the far side suddenly becomes engulfed in a pulsating black mass of what looks like tar, or goo of some kind. It erupts in an assortment of thick tendrils that whip out at anything that moves nearby... though it's accuracy is not the best, and seems to focus on what makes sound instead of seeing where it's flailing.

TEAM 3: The Estate House is where it's at this time, the house doesn't seem to have an 'active' defense, but its layout changes as the group moves from room to room, each time a door closes, or sight is taken from the previous room... it doesn't separate the group though, so might just be a side-effect of the dimensional shifts.
Kyle Katarn     "Come right along, buddy." Kyle nods to the mage as he makes his way towards the Estate. Covering the door, Kyle makes his way inside with professional speed as he searches room to room.

Something about the place feels off. Every time he looks to rooms he's been to before, it's like they're completely different now. "What the hell..." He mutters, going back to a room he thought he'd already cleared.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian is also confused by the place. "It looks as thought the layout is changing," he observes. Now that he's closer, perhaps he can sense a direction. Focusing on the third 'ping', the one Kyle and he were investigating, Dorian opens his magical senses again, holding up a hand to track it. Hopefully now that they're closer, and he's focusing on one specific point, he can narrow it down a little, get a more accurate direction. If he can track through all this distortion, that is.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Does not take long to go catch up with Nasrim as she foes to check out the second contact. Kotone keeps up with the other woman and moves to fall in with her. "Might as well go check out the second one, right? We should get moving though would you be so kind to lead the way, I'll support you." Kotone is armed with some firearms and is also wearing an odd blackj form fitting body suit which is armored in a number of places.
Nasrin     Nasrin waits for Yamakawa before she takes off, running paticuarly quickly before she skids to a stop -- pulsaing, black tar. Goo. Tentacles. She stops for a brief moment, studying it as she narrows her eyes at the barn, observing the tendrils of thick, black goo.

There was pretty much nothing about it she liked. She glances up, and takes a look around before she climbs up another, nearby outbuilding in order to get a better look at the goo, perching there like a bird and carefully formulating a plan.

"... I wonder..." she pauses, and glances over to Yamakawa. "... how far do you think the barn can reach?"
Alexis Alexis blinks a moment as if realizing the digimon was there for the first time thanks to the ... distracts from her odd-ball psychic. But then smirks a little. "Save your evolution for we end up having to punch something into submission." Seems she knows a thing or two about digimon too!

That and by the look of it they have to go indoors, so it's probably a good thing he stays Gabumon for now anyways. Alexis opens the door, but doesn't get more than a few steps before both her and Catalyst stop. Stare. "I guess I shouldn't really be surprised. Cat?"

Catalyst puts just one paw to her head. "(Yes, I can still sense it. It's near the center, but the paths are...)" She points one way with the other paw, then another, then actually turns around entirely and points straight up. "(... This is giving me a headache. And that's something.)"

Alexis glances back at Alden for a moment. "Well if you ever wanted to be a homewrecker, now is your chance." Then snags a different pokeball, flicking it to release a large, rather rotund orange and black pig. With a beard. That is on fire. Because it IS fire. "Maulotov. That wall is in the way. Do something about it."

Two big fat fists are smacked together. "Emboar! (This place looks a mess. Guess I'll have to use my head!)" ... Which he does, but walking up to the wall directly in front of them and using his head. To which is, smash a hole with it.
Alden      Alden seems a bit surprised about the trainer being at least partially familiar with Digimon, but he waves a paw, "Eh, don't worry, it is not hard to do, unless I go all out, and wasn't planning to." he says, smiling and moving closer. The sight of being indoors makes himgrin, "For once being on the short side in all my forms might be working on my advantage!."

He is a bti curious about the interaction between the Meowstic and the trainer, "Is it talking to you?" he asks, simply curious, before the mention of being a home wrecker makes him chuckle, "Time to remodel?" he asks. He spends a few moments gawking at the self cooking bacon (sorry, can't resist that joke), and waves a hand at the fire pig. "Let me help a bit." he says.

Unlike most digimon, seems Alden needs a bit of help to evolve, so he reaches for his cardbox, and picks a card. "Digi modify, Super Plugin S!" He slides the card through a convenient card reading slot on his D-ARc. As soon as that's done, his body explodes in a burst of light, and is replaced by a rather tall quadruped wolf creature. "Garurumon!" he growls, wagging his tail, and deciding to Assist the Emboar with the wall removing bussiness. He does that by tackling and smashing it with his large paws.
Zephyr Windstar     TEAM 1:Okay, that's getting some attention. Catalyst would feel it first.. the entire building seems to 'ripple' and the shattered wall 'repairs' itself. It didn't repair, really, it was replaced by a whole different segment of wall. This, might take a while... or need a very proactive touch.

TEAM 2: The question about range will have to be found out... though something falls over near the fence... and quickly earns a SMASH from one of those tentacles, which in turn earns another... the entire assembly smashing the area around where it's flailing with heavy thudding strikes.

TEAM 3:The ever changing layout does seem to have a pattern, it's not obvious, but to Dorian's magesight, it slowly becomes clear. A path starts to uncover itself as it changes through exploration. It still won't be easy... now the 'Ping' has detected something bypassing it's defenses... the pair would find 'roamers' in the rooms, leaping attacking formless things that area easily dispatched.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian's concentrating too hard on the proper path to notice their 'new companions' at first. "I think I've got it..." he murmurs, half under his breath. He tries to visualize, to bring the path into focus in his mind...

...And then something leaps on him.

He grunts in surprise and pain as something bears him to the ground. "''Venhedis kaffan vas!''" he hisses. It's too close to use his magic on, he might hit himself. Instead he punches the formless thing with all his might. He's no 'squishy mage', being the product of Tevinter's 'perfect mage' program-- though not their planned end result-- so that punch isn't just some foppish, limp-wristed slap. That is a full-strength punch from a reasonably strong human being.

It might not kill it at once, but it should at least give him the breathing room to stand up again.
Nasrin     "... that is some range." NAsrin mutters to herself. She draws up to a stand, her head tilting a moment. "The 'source' I saw is somewhere inside the barn. We'll need a way in, or something to distract it long enough to make it through the tentacles." Nasrin states, turning to Yamakawa as she gives a wry little smile. "How fast are you?" she inquires politely.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa watches as things turn into a tentacle hell session there's actually a look of horror on Kotone's face. She does take a steop back as she brings up her sub machinegun. She eyes the horror for a moment longer. "I really hate things like this. You got any ideas? This thing should have a softer spot somewhere, I hope and the range is pretty bad. As for how fast I am? I can keep up with a car or a horse if that's what your asking so pretty fast but ... wait do you want me to be bait?!"
Kyle Katarn     "No kidding." Kyle hears something sneaking on them, while Dorian is doing something magic-y. He's begun to stop asking questions, instead focusing more on just buying time for the mages to do their thing most of the time.

Right as the formless beings attack, Kyle activates his lightsaber, trying to slash at the creature attacking Dorian. "Stand still!" He'd rather not accidentally cut his new buddy in half in the process, after all.
Alexis And then the wall repairs itself. Or switchs itself with another one. Catalyst is the only one that can tell the difference. Maulotov just looks pissed. And smashes the wall again.

And it replaces itself again.

This goes on for a few moments before he finally seems to get the hint, and just gestures angerly at the wall rudely with one hand. "(Lemme tell you something, non-geometric wall, that's dirty cheating!)"

Later Alexis is going to have to pester the digimon about the card thing. Right now, more important problem. "I see taking the precise approach isn't going to work. Maulotov, use Flame Charge instead."

"(Oooooh YEAAAAH!) Let's... just not think about the fact that the move almost makes it look like he's farting fire to get a boost like a jet engine to just battering ram the wall. And probably several more.

As he charges Alexis lets out her Porygon-Z. "Now Glitch, use Trick Room!" The floating 'drinking bird' looking digital pokemon flashes it's eyes, and for the perspective of Alexis and her team, and Alden, the reality around them would seem to slow down due to Trick Room slowing everything else down so they can move faster. "Now run and smash anything else in your way!", she adds as she jumps through the wall after Maulotov, hoping Trick Room's slowing effect will keep the walls from repositioning faster than they can move through them!
Alden Alden is doing a fair enough job at smashing walls, he is big enough for that!. He would do better, but he is playing it safe, like Alexis said, save energy for punching things!. In any case, he catches up on the situation soon enough and grumbles, "Oh come on, that's cheating." he mumbles, sitting besides Alexis, about to ask if there was she had in mind. He perks his ears and blinks as he sees the Porygon, his digimon sense twitching faintly, "What..." he mumbles softly. He had a sense for digital creatures, and the porygon seems to be somewhat confusing. Still, he snaps out of it, and follows the lead of the fire pig!. He helpfully helps Alexis move faster. "Where is the thing we are looking for?" he asks.
Zephyr Windstar     TEAM 1: That seems to do the trick. The slowing effect of Porygon's Trick Room leaves the 'repairs' happening about three walls behind the group as they move. Catalyst would guide them through to the location of the 'PING'. It looks like a... coat stand? It's got spokes at the top, and seems to be partly sunk into the ground. Probably how it's controlling the local geometry. The real question is, now, 'How do you shut it down?'

Team 2: The tendrils stop their rampant flailing after a few moments, going back to their idle 'animation loop', wafting languidly around in the air... Whatever the plan is, now is the time to do it.

TEAM 3: Kyle's lightsaber cuts the thing in half, and the punch sends the dissipating form splattering against the wall. As Dorian guides the pair in, they would come across a... computer. It's glowing a sickly shade of yellow-green, and is kicking off a MASSIVE ammount of energy, Dorian might get his 'sight' overloaded if he isn't careful.. and Kyle's Jedi senses would likely be throwing up 'ghosts' from the sheer rampant force of the thing. Same question as Team 1: What do?
Kyle Katarn     "You okay?" Kyle checks to see if Dorian is alright, before following the Mage along the path. He defers to his judgment on this one, but neither of them seem prepared for what comes next.

"...wow. Okay, this is weird." he senses a ridiculous amount of ghostly power from this computer thing, before he approaches it and begins to idly key in some commands on the keyboard. "Let's see if I can read these symbols right..." He mutters, trying what he can to figure out what this is for.
Nasrin     "No. I'm going to be the bait." Nasrin stands, and she pulls her hood forward, her eyes focusing. "Just keep your shooting on the tentacles. Get as close as you can and then get inside. It's likely that the 'object' will be very obvious." Nasrin states, and she sheds a few belts, a small handgun (she never liked the thing), and a backpack, from which she takes a radio. "You won't have a lot of time." she states, turning to her companion -- "Make it count."

And then she takes off -- and it's pretty obvious Nasrin was faster than a car or a horse. Leaving afterimages in her wake was she moves into range of the tendrils, Nasrin focuses all her attention on not getting hit, staying just outside the fenceline as she circles about -- and as she draws closer, the Assassin broadcasts the noisiest thing that she knows:

    Recordings of Disco Music
Dorian Pavus     Hearing Kyle's callout to stay still, Dorian does so. Rather than stand, he merely turns his head away and closes his eyes, lifting one hand to protect his face as Kyle dispatches the thing. That's a lot of trust from Dorian -- he's prone, and Kyle has a weapon that could kill him easily. Once he's out of danger, and the lightsaber's no longer in danger of chopping him in half, Dorian finally stands, dusting himself off. With a sigh of relief, he looks to Kyle and says, "I am now. Thank you. I had a feeling that, once we started getting past the distortions, it would get something's attention. Didn't quite expect it ''then'', though."

As for the computer? Dorian hisses a bit, turning his face away and letting his magical senses close again. It was like staring right into the sun. Once he can look again, Dorian tilts his head at the object. He stands back as Kyle starts to fiddle with the computer. Technology is not Dorian's strong suit, even if he can use a radio, cell phone, or a normal computer decently well. This is not a normal computer. "Do be careful," Dorian cautions. He isn't scolding, no. "There was talk of something blowing up, and I'd rather not have this thing set it off. What can you figure out?"
Alexis That... actually worked. Seriously, Alexis was just winging a hunch, not that she's going to tell anyone that. Alden giving her a boost through the holes helps too. Important part is with the psychic leading the way they soon find the.... thing.

"(Ah, the dreaded coat rack. Bane to all that is outer wear.)"
"(*snort* Uh, I'm pretty sure they don't hang that on--)"
Alexis bops Maulotov upside the head. "She said OUTER wear. Not UNDERwear."

Comedy moment aside, there's still the matter with the coat rack shoved into the ground. "Maybe if we yank it out it'll stop screwing with the architecture?" Best notion she's got at first.

"(Good enough for me!) Despite it being a magical(?) inanimate object, Maulotov still does some posturing, then tries to grab onto the coatrack to jerk it free of the floor. Catalyst does the same with her psychic powers, so there's probably enough space for Alden to try to bite it or something too.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa nods to Narison and relaxes for her personal well being, but then gets concerned for Narisn but it seems to be the best plan. She gets what her partner is doing she bring up her eapon tracks Narsin's movmne and starts to open fire on the thing's tentacles. She keeps the supression fire up and will move the moment she's got an opening to race in side and she does note how fast that Nasrin is moving about as fast if not faster than she can, givne Kotone doesn't pick up any cyberware she's darn well impressed at the other woman's speed.
Alden      Alden is big and strong enough to effortlessly carry Alexis, making it easier to follow the holes and work deeper into the home!. As soon as they spot the coatrack, he tenses, growling a bit, eyeing it curiously. He checks the ground for a moment, to see if it was solid or not... if they have to jerk it free, he tries breaking the ground around the base, slamming it with his large paws and hard claws. Regardless of the success of said action, he also moves down to bite on the base of the darn 'magic(k)' item near the base and pulls hard, grunting. He figures removing it might be safer than try to burn it down.
Zephyr Windstar     TEAM 1: It seems to work as expected. The device emits a high pitched shriek as it's pulled free of its mooring, but once out, goes quickly silent and loses its power. The disruptions of the local space drop appreciably as well, only two layers instead of three. Zephyr's voice comes over radio. "Good, that's one down, bring it back here so I can Seal it."

Team 2: Nasrin's distraction works immensely well. Every single tendril comes crashing down around where the noise is coming from, leaving the way open for Kotone. The tendrils she shoots jerk, then fall free into splattering puddles of black tar-like goop, but start to regrow quickly. The entrance is amazingly uncovered, however, and the covering of goop does slowly retract as the tendrils reform, a finite ammount of defense.

TEAM 3: Kyle's direct approach doesn't seem to work, though the screen pops up a query: WHO. ARE. YOU?
Alexis And once the thing comes free Maulotov heaves the rack over his head. He would probably of smashed if it Alexis didn't grab his arm. "Don't you doofus, you'll just turn loose whatever is inside it."

"(Oh *snort* sure, steal all my fun.)" Maulotov dangles the coatrack out with one hand.

"(As entertaining as that would be, even I tired of this madness.)" Catalyst takes the rack in a psionic bubble to keep it from touching anything as they walk back out to Zephyr so the thing can be sealed up.
Kyle Katarn     Kyle glances at Dorian. "No idea..." He says, before he glances at the screen. "Why do I get the feeling I'm gonna regret this?" Relunctantly, he begins to type into the keyboard once more.

    >KYLE KATARN
Nasrin     Nasrin nimbly winds herself around the fences, letting the tendrils smash in her wake as the noise leads them back and away from the opening, stretching the goo as far as it will go in the pursuit of her noise, trying to drown out anything else.

"/GO/." she calls out to Kotone, already feeling the twisting in her stomach, using her sword to slash at the tendrils and keep them from noticing her teammate!
Dorian Pavus Dorian blinks at the screen query. "Curious." He emits a thoughtful 'hmmm', crossing his arms over his middle and bringing a hand to his chin. He smirks, though, when Kyle asks his question. "We probably both will," he notes, with a chuckle. "Though I get the feeling it may not asking for a name."

This is a dangerous thing he's about to do. But Dorian channels his power into a hand, the same as he would do to light one of those magical torches that seemed to be in such stupidly high abundance in Thedas. Then he steps towards the computer, his 'charged' hand before him. If it's putting out magic, he reasons, it's got to have a way to sense it. If not, he'll just touch the computer.

Yeah, he has no idea what he's doing.
Kotone Yamakawa Well there goes Team Two Narsin is working well Kotone now has her opening and she's running into the entrance without stopping now, she's trying to doddge the things as they come for her, but there's not enough of them to stop her at the speed she's going. Kotone does not open fire now she just moves trying to get inside and will start trying to look for the core.
Zephyr Windstar     TEAM 2: Kotone would find the inside of the barn... completely normal, save for a small blue glowing hair comb, the kind with a flower ornament for putting into a hair bun to keep it up. It's laying on top of a haybale, and seems to know when it's been found, as it suddenly stops glowing, and all the tar-goo splats down as it suddenly loses cohesion. "Looks like #2 is down... Team 3, respond..." comes Zephyr's voice, as she seals Team 1's Lost Logia.

TEAM 3: Kyle's attempt picks up another response: UNREGISTERED USER. ACTIVATING DEFENSE SYSTEM. Then Dorian touches it, and the energy suddenly 'snaps' back inside the device, the monitor kicking up an error string and going that deadly shade of blue, before the whole thing goes quiet and the house returns to normal.
Kyle Katarn     "Spast!" Kyle leaps back, reaching for his lightsaber again before bracing for the worst. It's almost like he expected this, but the end doesn't come. Instead, the computer just kind of dies, and he looks confused for a moment before glancing to Dorian. "...okay, that was weird. What'd you do to it?" He asks, clipping his weapon back to his belt.
Dorian Pavus     Dorian frowns at the words 'defense system', and prepares himself for a fight. And then his 'charged' hand seems to make the thing change its mind about wanting to kill them. Which might partially have been because, when Dorian saw 'ACTIVATING DEFENSE SYSTEMS', he used his magic to 'snap' the Fade at the machine, hoping to have some reaction from the machine. Sort of a magical slap in the face. Except it also seems to go dead itself.

He blinks, releasing the magical charge in his hand. "...Well, that ddn't exactly do as I planned. But it's something." He knows nothing about technology; for all he knows he burnt something out.

Kyle's inquiry will meet an equally confused Dorian. But he tries to piece something together, at least. "I didn't like the look of what it was saying, so I... sort of 'snapped' the Fade at the machine's magical aura. Sort of how you'd flick a wet towel at someone. I was hoping to briefly disrupt its magic. But my magic is probably drastically different from what it's accustomed to. Perhaps when it met the unfamiliar magic it... 'shorted out'? Is that the term?"

He sighs. "Well. At least it doesn't look like something's going to come out and murder us," he observes. A look around. "And it seems to have stopped the place from shifting around. Perhaps it can be moved now."
Nasrin     The goo goes splat, and the Assassin skids to a stop, breathing heavily. Nasrin's eyes are twitching, and she doubles over, falling to her knees in pain, her arms twisting aroudn her stomach. She pushed that gift too far.

... and she turns off the music. Ooh, that /is/ much better.

She lifts the radio and switches to the local bands:

"Nice shooting, Kotone Yamakawa... I'm... going to take... a short break."

... and evacuate some of her lunch.
Zephyr Windstar     "Okay, I'm getting a good reading now, Magical levels are dropping steadily and the Dimensional Quake is subsiding. Stay where you are, I'll come Seal the remaining Lost Logia and call in containment crews." comes Zephyr's voice over the local comm. "Good work, all of you. I'll get a report submitted to the Union boards, and liase with the Syndicate so the non-Union get some compensation for hazards beyond mortal reckoning."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa makes sure to not touch the item and leave the people hwo know how to deal with it, ot come get it. She also knows she needs to keep watchingt it. She does look a bit sheepish at Narshin a year ago she couldn't have made any of those shots, now she was able to.

"Thank you, and you be careful, if you need anything just call me once the clean up team gets here."
