Alden Alden talked with Sanary a few times in the past, both in person (even at the slumber aprty!) and over the channels, so when the Cleric mentioned being curious about the meat plants, he was more than glad to show them to her!, perhaps even give her a small sapling (or more if they negotiated something). He gave her the coordinates for the gate, and was kind enough to receive her, spending the walk talking a bit about the care of the plants...

"So you need to make sure they are watered often, and make sure to collect the meat once it is good, otherwise, it is pretty simple to care for them." he says softly, "I can only give you saplings since apparently they won't sprout from seeds outside the digital world." he mentions.

As they get to the area he was using to hold the plants, she can see a small bunch of them, different kinds!. The first thing that the cleric can tell... is that not only they are producing meat... it seems as if the meat was already cooked!. There were a couple of small bushes producing what seemed to be bacon strips, another plant producing some kind of meat in bone (like this http://d1nr5wevwcuzuv.cloudfront.net/product_photos/38013009/ItsMeat_400sq.jpg ) and steaks!. There are a couple plants of each, not a lot, but seems he has a sapling or two laying around.
Sanary Rondel Sanary's been curious about meat plants for quite some time, but this is going to be her first opportunity to actually see them in person. Arriving at the specified location with her usual white coat in tow and no visible combat gear on her person(why would she need it?), she greets Alden with a lazy wave before following him inside and listening to those directions closely.

"Sounds a lot easier than raising a whole animal... You know, you could probably make a lot of money just selling these saplings." Sanary suggests with a light chuckle, stepping into the holding area and peering at those plants with wide-eyed interest. Only with the one eye, of course, although the fact that there's so much cooked meat being grown does seem more impressive than the assumption that it would be raw parts instead. "Amazing... So were these all brought over from the Digital World, then?"
Alden Alden smiles, half tempted to hug Sanary, since he considers her a nice person, and he is a friendly digimon creature. The mention of money makes him chuckle, "That's not a bad idea really, but I don't want to risk taking too many plants, besides, while it is not that hard to get them, it is still atrip." he says, rumbling softly. "Yep!, I actuallyhad a friend who got me the first couple, when I realized I might be able to grow a few more here." he explains.
Sanary Rondel Sanary chuckles lightly at Alden's concerns, nodding slowly after a few moments. "I get what you mean. Don't wanna mess things up too much back home." She nods slowly in understanding, glancing over at the manor in thought. "I'm guessing your friend's the one that owns the place over there? Hmm... Anyone I know?"

There's a thoughtful look on her face as she pauses, then turns back to the Gabumon. "... Say. Uh. Didn't get a chance to ask last time, but... What do you know about the Confederacy?"
Alden Alden smiles and pats Sanary's side, "Yeah, Ainsley, she is really nice, letting me stay with her." he explains, tail twitching as he moves to check on one of the plants, watering one a bit. The question makes him go still, ears perked up, "I... admit I don't know much of the groups... heard about the union, confederacy adn the... syndicate was it?" he says, turning to face Sanary, "I will admit I heard... the confederacy was... not a nice group."
Sanary Rondel Raising an eyebrow, Sanary chuckles again and gives Alden a pat on the head in return, humming a bit at the mention of Ainsley. "Is she doing okay? Haven't heard her on the radio in a while." There's some mild concern in her voice as she says that, althoughg her primary focus clearly isn't on her as it is on the plants and the topic of the factions.

"Syndicate, yeah. The Confederacy's..." She hums to herself and squats in place, giving Alden a rather direct look in the eye. Or is it more like the spot between his eyes? "... I'll be honest with you. Not everyone there is nice. But... If you had to hurt some people to save a lot more, would you?"
Alden Alden nods, "Yeah, she is doing fine, don' worry." he says softly, noticing the concern. "Do you eat bacon?" he asks, as he inspect the bacon plants, and grabs a pair of strips, eating one on his own, and ofering Sanary the other, it looks, and smells pretty good!".

The question about what he'd do makes him pause, thinking seriously for a few moments, "If... there was no other way around it... no way to negotiate, or save the others without hurting those people... yes."
Sanary Rondel "Too much." Sanary replies with a light smirk, taking the offered bacon strip and giving it a light nibble first before taking a fuller bite out of it. "You know.. I should probably be more worried about how this even works." She comments before taking another bite out of the bacon strip with absolutely no concern shown whatsoever.

That's going to work against her some day, isn't it?

Alden's response draws a satisfied smile from the healer. "That's good. There's... Yeah, there's people in there that don't care. Kinda like the Union, really. But... There's people like me, too." She pauses a moment to let that sink in (and to finish off her bacon strip) before continuing. "People that'll hurt people if it means helping more, even if it means people in the Union call us evil. Or even if it means the people we're helping hate us."

She stands up suddenly, then hunches over before squatting again. Her jaw's a little stiff afterwards, and Sanary's visibly trying not to let it look like she's dizzy. She got up too fast, didn't she? "That's part of why I came today. Will you help us? We need strong people like you."
Alden Alden is glad Sanary likes the bacon, licking his lips as he finishes the strip, even as he hears those words, "I might have to go that far when I return to my own digital world." he says softly. He nods slowly, understanding those words, rubbing his chin a bit, "Are you ok?" he asks, moving to try to help her steady, looking up at her face. "I promise I will think hard about it, I am honored that you thik I am good enough to join."
