Alden Alden invited his friends over, mentioning he had a new friend he wanted them to meet!. He mentions some details, like the name of said friend, and that it was a Shinki, but he did not bother explaining what a Shinki was to Erika or Gaonoir!.

The scene waiting them is a bit... unusual. There is Alden near a dark and dark gold furred, tall, bipedal rabbity thing, with guns for hands, and wearing pants. http://wikimon.net/images/1/15/Blackgalgomon.jpg . They are sitting together, talking a bit, and watching something else with interest!.

The center of their attention is a bit... weird. A quadruped creature... that has a resemblance to a fox, only extraordinarily slender and streetched, limbs, tail, muzzle, body, all far longer and likely thinner than they should. Not to the point of being extremly freaky, but the muzzle, and the long claws are scary to some. Said fox digimon seems to be trying to keep its focus on a small humanoid!, a little girl, barely 5 inches tall or so, wearing armor on her torso and arms, a cat tail, and carrying Alden's D-Arc in her arms!. She seems to be busy dodging attempts from the fox to snag the device from her. http://wikimon.net/images/0/0d/Fangmon.jpg
Taro     Taro is already well acquainted with Shinki - Kari Wolf is one of his preferred associates, after all - and so no further explanation is required.
The android is less well acquainted with digimon in general, however. The wide variety of model types exceeds that of even reploids, or at least it seems that way to him based on his meetings with them thus far. Thus he tilts his head slightly in a 'huh, interesting' sort of way as he spots Alden's associate sitting with him. But then he gives the two of them a deep nod. "Good afternoon..."
And then there is a shinki and another digimon and antics, which causes him to tilt his head again in silent question. Is this normal?
Gaonoir As usual the soft whine of Erika's electric scooter can be heard before it actually putts into view. At least this isn't the first time they've been here so Erika is a little less distracted by the scenery. Gaonoir, on the other hand, is being a bit dour as usual. "If we're going to do this whole 'adventure' thing we really need to get you a better vehicle."

"But cars require licenses and stuff," Erika mutters back, for the umpteenth time. He brings this up every time they go somewhere. But her mood immeadiately perks back up as they pull up to the spot. "Hi Alden! Galgomon, Fangmon!" The girl waves cheerfully as she heels down the kickstand and hops off. But a bit far off to see the tiny robot girl just yet.

Gaonoir drops off right behind her. "I'm just sayin'. This thing isn't exactly fast, and I can't always -fly- you around."
Alden The ones to react to the noise are in order, the BlackGalgomon (hey, those long ears have a use!), then the big fox digimon, and the Shinki, with Alden only reacting because the other turn to look at their source. Alden grins as he spots Taro being closer and waves a few times, "Hi!, glad to see you again!" he says happily, getting up and moving to offer his friend a hand. The long eared digimon gets up too, waving to Taro, and then to Erika and Gaonoir, "Erika!, Gaonoir! nice to see you!" he says cheerily, before smiling to the new person.

The Shinki (Katze) gets really distracted, and turns towards the arrivals, "Are they friends of yours?" she asks. The fox digimon, rather than get distracted, casually raises a paw, and in a movement that might be considered a blur, suddenly finds himself holding the device in one paw, "Hey everyone!" he yips happily. Amusingly, Katze actually takes a few seconds to realize she is no longer holding the thing she was supposed to protect, letting out a soft 'Nyah' and turning to face the big fox, "That's not fair!, I was distracted!". The fox simply smirks, "Not my fault, you should pay more attention." he says casually, before jumping aside as the tiny Shinki makes a jump to try to snag the device from his paw.
Gaonoir Gaonoir snickers softly. "That's what you get for getting distracted," he agrees with Fangmon. But then pauses. He's seen a Shinki before, but this one looks and smells different from Kari. Though all he says is a vage "Huh".

Erika on the other hand finally gets close enough to look, only to "Aaaaaaw!" in such a girly manner that it actually makes Gaonoit yip and cover his ears from the pitch. "She's so cute!" Pause. Then leans down a bit closer, squinting. "Wait, that's not a digimon is it...."
Taro     "It's good to see you as well. I'm sorry that my duties have taken up so much of my time." As usual, Taro does not return the grin, but he does shake Alden's offered hand and nod to all of the others, including the pair that just pulled up.
He makes an amused sound at the shinki - digimon antics, then squats down in his haunches to bring himself closer to their eye level. "And you would be Katze, yes?" he asks of the now D-Arc-less little robot.
Alden The tall bunny creature also covers his ears for a moment, and even Fangmon yipes, ears flicking. He takes the D-Arc ever so gently in that... scary muzzle of his, holding it by the strap, and casually makes his way to Alden to return it, long tail wagging in amusement, pleased with himself. Katze huffs and lets out a rather adorable meowling hiss, tail lashing. She then gets an idea!, "Let's see if this works meow.". She whistles, "Puchi masiinzu!" she orders, eyes glowing a moment.

A group of four even tinier ships, each piloted by what looks by a cartoony cat head ( http://www.collectiondx.com/gallery/v/Toys/Konami/BusouShinki/MMSCat/PB131892.jpg.html ) appear, look at her, then at the fox, and launch at him!, tiny beams, looking like laser pointers, and even tinier energy blasts shoot at the long muzzle! They manage to focus fire on the nosepad, making the big vulpine yip again and open his maw, causing him to drop the device, which is snagged by the Shinki!. Then she runs towards Erika for protection, "Nyahaha, I win!". She then grins, "I'm Katze! I am a shinki!".

Alden just chuckles at the display, as he shakes hte hand a bit more, "Yes, kari helped me get her." he says, before turning to Erika, who was being inspected by the tiny cat Shinki, and Gaonoir, "She is my new friend I told you about."
Gaonoir Gaonoir chuckles a bit at the display, though out of a bit of a sympathy as he knows how sensative one's nose can be. "Hah! They shot your weak point for maximum annoyance! Haha!" Despite his usually dour demeanor he's not actually being mean.

"And she has cute little drones too? Neat!" Erika gets down on one knee as Katze runs over with the D-Arc. Not entirely sure if she should pet her like an actual cat or not. "I guess this means you don't have to worry about someone to use your digivice when you evolve now, huh?" Then taps a finger to her chin. "Though now I can't help but wonder about all those urban legends about toys coming to life. Maybe they are really tiny little robots in disguise!"

Gaonoir... just slaps a gloved palm to his face. Leave it to Erika to somehow spin off into an entirely new conspiracy theory for no reason.
Taro     Taro arches a brow as shinki drones are sicced on the foxish digimon for his transgressions - namely not giving the D-Arc back to her. As she runs over to Erika, he gives Alden a sidelong glance "I'm surprised you let them play with that..."
He makes another amused sound, gaze shifting to the human girl. "There are some machines built to be playmates to children, and there are those of us of a size and build to be mistaken for toys. But I doubt all toys are living things." From his tone of voice, it's hard to say whether he's being entirely serious. Then, he pauses. "Apologies for my poor manners. I haven't even introduced myself yet. Taro Daisho. Pleased to meet you."
Alden Alden grins as he gives Gaonoir a friendly pat on the shoulder, "I might have told her about that weak spot." he says weakly to him, before smiling back to Taro, "Eh, they are being careful, I have my friend Galgomon watching too, and they know it is important, plus she has to get used to it." he says softly. He lets Taro introduce to the digimon and human, smiling. The Fangmon (the fox) rubs his nose with a paw and chuckles, moving closer, "So you got hit on the nose recently too?" he asks Gaonoir, wagging his tail, fairly relaxed. The bunny 'mon approaches Erika, while Katze happily moves and turns around, gladly showing off!, "They are cute!, and deadly!" she says happily.
Gaonoir "It happens," is all Gaonoir replies to Fangmon with a shrug. He's just not going to mention that swatting his nose has been Erika's way to get him to back off, the less people that realize that the better. "Fortunately as Black MachGaogamon everything is sensors in my visor instead."

Erika pushes off the ground with her hands to get back onto her feet when Taro comes over to introduce himself. "Erika Whitfield. I'm Gaonoir's Tamer... heh, it's really more like keeper, he's not exactly the tamable sort."

"It's Alden's term," Gaonoir snorts, sounding as if he really doesn't care what term she uses.

Though the clever girl doesn't miss the way Taro says 'those of us', and squints one eye in a dorkishly cute manner as she leans a little closer to him. "Are *you* are robot too?"
Taro     Taro stands up again as well, tugging a wrinkle out of his cassock in in the process, then extends a hand to Ericka. "An android, yes. I won't bore you with the specifics." He doesn't appear to mind the sudden attention. He's probably used to things like this by now. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Gaonoir," he adds.
Then to Alden, "I see...I would simply be concerned that your D-Arc could be broken."
Alden Alden sighs, "Well, unfortunately, it has to be in danger constantly, if I want to use it... I need to be close to it, and until now... I had to carry it myself, I think it might be safer for Katze to carry it around... only issue is using the cards.. I don't think that is really possible, haha."he says with a chuckle. "I should see if there is a way to help Katze interface with it, so she can fool the device into thinking she used a card, and work that way."he muses, rubbing his chin.

Katze casually hops on Erika's shoulder, rather light!, and looks down at Gaonoir, "You are a digimon!" she says as if it was an amazing discovery. The Fangmon smiles to Gaonoir, and settles down, "I am still amazed how strong you are, I'd like a round two, maybe me and bunny ears should go all out and see how it goes." he says with a grin. The BlackGalgomon grumbles at bunny ears, and playfully tugs on teh fox's tail, "Use my name." he teases.
Gaonoir "Ooooh!" Erika grabs the hand in both of hers and shakes it a lot more vigorously than really necessary. "Real robots! And Androids! This just gets better and better." No objections to the tiny robo-girl deciding to sit on her shoulder.

Gaonoir shoots her a look. "Com'n, you lived in Urbania. How can robots be -new-? The Techno district is full of them."

"But not all robots are so open about their being robots," the girl replies without missing a beat.

She does have a point there. Not that Gaonoir is going to openly admit that.
Taro     The android does his best to be polite, but at some point he will attempt to take his hand back. "I'll assume that your homeland hasn't reached this level of technology then..." A small nod is given at her observation. "Not every world is as open or accepting of living machines, or treats them well. Neo Arcadia is far better than most, but we still at times struggle with the mistakes of our ancestors."
"Hm..." Alden's voiced musings catch his attention, and he mulls them over as well. "Hm. I still don't know enough about how you and your D-Arc are made to give you a definitive answer, yet. But if the data on the cards can be transferred to other storage medium..."
Alden Alden grins as he lets the fox digimon talk with Gaonoir a bit, chuckling from the exchange, "So you are from a place with robots?" he asks, "Maybe just not this kind of robots?" he asks casually, before turning back to Taro, tail twitching a bit as he hears the idea. "Well, I think they must have normal data... from what my tamer told me they are just normal cards from a game, which worked with computers and a card reader." he says softly. Katze sits on the shoulder, glad to be the center of attention, and looking at Taro curiously, "How long have you been with Gaonoir?" she asks casually, before smiling to Taro, "You sound smart.". The Fangmon grins as the topic shifts from what it said and yawns, moving to settle down near the other digimon, listening curiously.
Gaonoir "Not like this would be accurate, yes." Once Taro manages to tug his hand free Erika mostly recomposes herself, giving her glasses a nudge with a figure to set them back in position. "And because I lived -in- Urbania," she adds to Gaonoir and Fangmon, "does not mean I am -from- there. I just work at that net cafe in Techno Urbania. That -someone- blew every server in the place out of one time."

Ganoir holds up his hands defensively, "Hey at the time we didn't know that realizing a digital gateway through a terminal would cause that much feedback." Or more accurately he would cause that much feedback coming through it, but that's a moot point.

Erika turns her head a little to look at Katze. "It's been what, a few weeks now? Close to a month?" She holds up one hand to her mouth as if she was whispering just to the shinki. "He's still adjusting."

"I can here you, you know," Gaonoir snorts dryly, crossing his arms.
Taro     One corner of Taro's lips twitches upward in a ghost of a smirk as he brings up his hand to his chest in a self-referential gesture. "At the risk of being immodest, Katze, I am the greatest living roboticist that my world has ever produced. If you and Alden would like to pursue the answer to that question, then I would be interested in pursuing it as well." And perhaps learn more about the intricacies of the digimon code base, and how they can exist in the physical world...
Another small tilt of the head at the story of gateway feedback disaster. "That must have been...remarkable to see, if not experience. I take it that there are limitations to breaching the divide between cyberspace --" he catches himself, anduses what would be the more familiar term for them, " -- The digital world and the physical one?"
Alden Alden chuckles and pats Gaonoir's shoulder, "These two want a rematch, they keep saying they might have something that should give you a run for your money, but I am not so sure, still, they enjoyed that spar, they have been trying to help me a bit too." he explains, "Perhaps next time we should do a three versus you." he says, chuckling, trying to take Gao's attention from it.

Katze goes wide eyed, "Ooh... that sounds great, I'd like that!, maybe you can make me cool gadgets too!.". Alden speaks at that moment, "I got you the best that was avaiable at the mall, even the small drones.". Katze waves a paw, "Yeah, yeah, but this sounds even better!, plus... I might get to use your remote!". Alden chuckles, "It's not a remote control."
Gaonoir "All three of you? I might have a reason to actually evolve all the way to Perfect... or is that what you guys call Ultimate? And what we call Ultimate you call Mega.. Ugh, this is confusing even between Digital Worlds!" Gaonoir complains. "Another sparring match sometime wouldn't hurt, though. Especially if it gives Katze a chance to practice too."

"Actually," Erika rummages in a pouch of her bag and pulls out her own digivice. Which resembles more of a highly advanced and fancy smartphone (since it was generated from one) than the more unearly design of the D-Arc. "I might still have pictures..." She starts thumbing through the menus.

"When I first came over," Gaonoir would rather talk about that then Erika making jokes about his 'adjusting', hmph. "We didn't know for certain what -was- here, so ClavisAngemon just opened the first gateway he could manifest near the location of the... targets I had to investigate." Gaonoir shrugs a little. "Dunno about these guys' version of things." Jabs a thumb in the direction of Alden and the others.
Taro     Taro makes a quietly sympathetic sound at all of the differences in terms and terminology. A multiversal hazard, that. Otherwise he falls silent, listening to the conversation as it shifts over to sparring matches, picking out bits of useful data from it.
His gaze shifts over to Erika again when she pulls out and uses what to him looks like a smartphone/datapad of some kind, though he doesn't go so far as to try peeking over her shoulder. That would be rude, and besides Katze would block his view. He'll wait until she shares.
Alden Alden chuckles a bit, "Yes, Ultimate is the term, and Mega is the stage after it." he tells poor Gaonoir, trying to either ease the confusion, or make a bigger jumble. He leans a bit closer to ask quietly something to Gaonoir, "What is Joggress evolution?, heard them talk about it.". Then he nods, "Yeah I think Katze has to get used to being near such things." he muses, rubbing his chin a bit.

Katze leans closer to look at the device, "Your device looks different from Alden's." she mentions, looking at the pictures curiously if theyshow up. The other two digimon peek over to look at Erika and the new device, the Galgomon tilting his head, "And that one looks different too... how many kinds of those things are there?" he muses, while the Fox grins, "I guess about one for each version of the digital world."
Gaonoir "Here it is!" Erika holds up the device for others to see, which looks pretty typical for a internet cafe... Except for all the computers clearly either off-line or displaying nothing but distorted jibberish, some of which might be reconizable as scrambled Digimoji symbols. And the one terminal in the center that is completely charred and cracked screen. "I was the unlucky one opening the shop that morning, and had to get the manager to close it up for repairs. That was -not- fun trying to explain when I didn't know what had happened at the time!"

It also gives a better look at the D-PORT, which does look a lot like one of the larger touchscreen smartphone models. With a futuristic looking frame/case that matchs the dark blue-grey and purple colors Gaonoir has.

"Some Digimon can evolve by combining their code into one coherent form," Gaonoir explains to Alden while Erika is showing off the pictures. "Usually it's temporary... but some Digimon become strong enough to permanetly unite as one singular entity. The Royal Knight Omegamon is a permanent fusion of Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon." Or Alden would probably know the digimon was Omnimon.
Taro     Taro leans in to peer at the image on the screen. He doesn't recognize the scrambled output on the screen, so for now he dismisses them as random error-induced gibberish. "Quite the mess," he agrees. "Were they older technology compared to your own world's?" A pause, then another question, paired with a gesture at the smartphone that isn't. "Ah, so this is another type of digivice?"
Alden Alden blinks as he hears that, and looks at the other 2 digimon, "I think they mentioned being able to do that, temporarily, maybe I should ask them if they want to show me sometime, now I am really curious." he says softly. The name does not cause much confusion, since Gaonoir actually did mention Omegamon to him in the past, and he still remembers that.

The Shinki recoils in horror at the damage in the computers, and slowly looks around first to Fangmon and Galgomon, then back to Alden and Gaonoir, "They can destroy electronic stuff just like that?" she asks sofly. She seems to regain composture soon enough, "I... I am sure it was just an accident." she muses. When Erika raises the device, the small swarm of drones floats nearby to examine it. Up close the tiny ships look different, a pair having dual guns, and the other a larger gun, explaining the different shots on the fox's nose.
Gaonoir "Not us directly," Gaonoir remarks to the shinki. Well, it's not entirely true in his case, but that's a very minor point, and he has control over that ability. "Magnamon figures the physical real world systems couldn't handle as much digital energy as a gateway can generate in such a short amount of time and overloaded." He shrugs a little.

Once everyone is done looking Erika flicks the device back to the standby screen and returns it to her bag. "So essentially, yeah, it was just an accident." Erika then pats Katze on the head. "You're in no danger of being around Alden. I mean, other than the fighting that typically goes on around Digimon because some of them seem to be real big jerks. Like that one Octomon."
