Scene #3987: Princess in 'Trouble'

Sarracenia	A curious call has gone out from the region of Summer. Apparently, a tower appeared overnight, and from the top of that tower residents have seen someone trapped behind bars. From the looks, a princess. And she called out for help from the people below. But, none of them approached thanks to the defenders of the three story tower. Large plant creatures with roots for feet, large leaves for arms, and pitcherplant heads full of sharp teeth. To top all of that off, the creatures are armored in shining steel and armed with dangerous looking spears, and the tower walls are studded with what appear to be cannons. Anyone who gets close is fired upon, though the gigantic bullets are very slow moving. They move at roughly sprinting speed, making them easy enough to avoid. So, the residents passed the news along, and anyone who happened to wander through the area or check local news shows would be made aware of the situation. Someone had kidnapped a princess and imprisoned her in a tower in some old-fashioned way. And she needed rescuing!
Alden	A princess!, this is hte kind of heroic stuff Alden read in stories! of course he was willing to help, even if he was still recovering from his last stunt with his friends. He arrives to the region of Summer as quickly as he would, hoping he was not too late to assist in the rescue!. The Gabumon is certainly an odd sight on most places, and not too impressive either!. He approaches the misterious tower, the digimon's attention fixed on the armored... plants?, most people might find them bizarre, but well... digimons are a weird bunch.
Sarracenia	The princess at the top of the tower blinks as she sees the creature approaching. From her vantage point, Alden looks like a little toy. And hardly a rescuer. But, one thing she has learned in the multiverse is not to underestimate someone. As soon as the plants spot the little Gabumon, one of them lets out a grating yell and points his spear. And Alden hears the report of several cannons. Clouds of smoke emerge from those cannons, and a moment later...bullets! Bullets likely bigger than he is! With shark-like faces! And they all spin through the air until they are coming right at him! Alden won't have much time before those seven Bullet Bills converge on him!
Alden	Alden is being shot at!... by incredibly slow bullets?. He decides not to test how truly dangerous they are, and instead he jumps out of the way, growling softly, "Release the princess!" he growls, trying to look more threatening, "Blue blaster!. He opens his jaws as a stream of blue flames comes flying from his muzzle, aimed at the closest of the armored plants!. He keeps the attack only a couple seconds, before cutting it off and getting ready for the next action.
Sarracenia	The plant creature yelps and cries out as it is hit with blue flames, then runs off flailing wildly in an effort to put out the flames! His three comrades jump back, then growl at Alden. They don't really answer him other than growling, but they do charge with their spears and try to impale the little digimon. Dangerous looking sharp spears are thrust toward Alden, but like the bullets these plant people are not all that fast. The bullets Alden jumped away from all try to veer toward him, but as they were all converging on Alden and all try to turn the same direction to follow him, they soon collide and in a spectacular display they all explode violently. Despite the obvious power of the explosions, they are harmless after a very short distance. Unfortunately, as soon as those bullets explode, the cannons fire again and a new set of Bullet Bills fly.
Alden	The digimon lets out a squeak as he hears the violent explosion and grumbles softly, "Better be safe around this." he mumbles, reaching for his D-Arc, and sliding a card. "Digi Modift! Super evolution plugin-P!". He is glad the whole thing is quick, his form glowing brightly for a second, before exploding in light, revealing a rather tall (need to write a description, but about 7-8 foot tall) bipedal wolf wearing jeans and apparently wielding bronze knuckles. He takes a rather high jump back, to make some distance form the charging plants, and decides to continue with the flames. "Fox fire!". He releases a blue stream of flames again, not unlike what he did as a gabumon, only hotter, and well, a larger stream.
Sarracenia	The small squad of plant soldiers scatter quickly when faced with a giant wolfman who breathes fire! This leaves the gate to the tower wide open! Alden can be sure there are plenty of soldiers inside, but for now he has a clear shot. Assuming he can avoid the volley of Bullet Bills that swing in low over the ground and head right for him. As those bullets barrel toward him, the large wooden doors into the tower open and more plant creatures emerge. This time, a team of five! But, they aren't holding spears. Instead, they line up in a V-formation in the doorway and take a deep breath in unison. Then...they breathe fire themselves! Fireballs as large as their heads are fired at Alden, and a few seconds later more are fired. And more!
Alden	Alden is extremely agile, especially jumping wise, he thinks Mario might have nothing on him!. He wastes no time as the group scatter, charging at the door, at least until the fire breathing plants appear!. He snarls and jumps aside, noticing the bullets manage to turn around to avoid hitting the ground this time!. He tries circling around the tower to get out of the path of the fireballs. After he manages to get out of the path of the giant fireballs, he tries attacking the bullets. "Kaiser Nail!". His claws grow crimson as he slashes the air in front of him, the energy forming a large X shape, which is then sent flying forward!. It is basically a ranged impact (like a punch or such, rather than exploding, strong enough to push through a small wall of bricks), hoping it might detonate the darn tracking things!.
Sarracenia	The firebreating plants give each other high fives as Alden runs around the tower, then stand there in preparation of facing him again. The Bullet Bills follow after Alden, a few crashing into each other or the tower. When they reach Alden, only two are left, and they are quickly dealt with by that Kaiser Nail attack. They explode harmlessly away from Alden. And for a few moments, all is quiet. Until that dreaded sound of cannons firing is heard again, and a whole new set of Bills head Alden's way. If he wants to avoid them, he might want to find a way into the tower! There are balconies on each level, of course. And then there is that wide open front door, guarded only by firebreathing plants. If Alden is as jump-capable as he thinks he is, jumping up to a second story balcony should be pretty easy, right?
Alden	Alden is getting tired of those cannons, andthose plants... he would do something more... drastic, but he fears causing damage to the odd tower, and potentially hurting people inside, so for now, he desists on it. The balcony seems like a very smart idea tho!. As soon as he hears the telltale noise of more bullets being fired, he grumbles loudly, runs, and jumps towards the second floor balcony, landing perfectly!. He rushes inside to get out of firing range.
Sarracenia	The explosions that follow signal that the none-too-intelligent Bills have crashed into the tower. And, Alden might notice, that the walls of the tower are not damaged. It might be tougher than it looks! When Alden lands on the second-floor balcony, he finds that...there are plant people on lounge chairs, soaking up the sun. They stare in disbelief as Alden lands there, then their raspy cries fill the air as they try to run for it into the tower. Inside the tower, similar cries can be heard, followed by the clanking of armored troops running down hallways. The room inside the balcony door is not huge. Only a circle about 20 feet across. But, it is surprisingly lavish inside. Alternating black and white tiles, like a checkerboard, cover the floor. The next floor is up a spiral staircase that runs along the perimeter of the room. It has no railing, so climbing it might be difficult with that group of plants coming down from the third floor. A few have spears, a few start spitting fireballs at Alden as soon as they can see him. And more can be heard approaching from the first floor. Alden might be surrounded soon!
Alden	The digimon is starting to get tired of all these plants!. The ones trying to climb from bellow are easily taken care off, using the same ranged attack he used on those bullets, sending them crashing back to the ground, before turning to face the ones descending. The room is not that big, but he manages to move aside some of the fireballs, rushing to the stairs, and basically shoving his way through. The fireballs hurt, that is certain if the whines each time one hits on him are a sign, but seems his pelt is not easily ignited, so unless there is a platoon of plants shooting fireballs at him, he likely pushes his way up to the third floor, tossing the armored guards aside on the way. He is not looking too great tho, scorch marks and bruises on his toned form.
Sarracenia	The guards put up a fight, but those below never make it into threat range, and those above are easily knocked off the stairs. They wail as they fall to the floor below. Finally, the way to the third floor is clear! The princess awaits! The guards are trying to regroup below, but given their lack of aptitude so far Alden probably doesn't have much to worry about.
Alden	Alden pats some lingering flames from his fur, and specially the small 'feather' like bits of fur on his back, before moving to explore the floor, and if he finds any door, he opens it!. "Princess? are you here?" he asks in a deep, rough voice.
Sarracenia	The stairs leading to the third floor let out through a trap door onto a circular platform larger than the rooms below. In the center of the platform is a small room with bars on the windows and the door. The princess sticks a slender, gloved hand as Alden calls out. "I'm here! But, be careful! There's a-" That is when Alden might notice the very large plant that is standing on the roof of the small tower top room. It is several times larger than the plants he faced below, at least 12 feet tall and much bulkier. The plant creature grins as it looks at Alden. "So, you think you can save the princess?" the giant plant asks in a deep, gravely voice. "Well, we'll just see about that!" The giant plant leaps from the top, aiming to land on Alden. And given its bulk, that won't feel good!
Alden	Alden was too confident about being at the end of the challenge!. Thankfully the giant plant talks, otherwise, he might have been easily squished under the giant, bulky thing!. "I know I can do it, you oversized weed." he says, jumping back, and growling to the large plant. He does have an ace in his sleeve, but decides to try other stuff first, "Fox fire!" he growls, blue flames shooting towards teh large, fang filled head.
Sarracenia	Petey chuckles as Alden dodges. The first attack almost never hits, after all. It was mostly for show. "Hahahaha! You think an overgrown wolf cub can defeat me?!" he bellows in his gravelly voice before grimacing as those flames splash against his head. Petey staggers back, a huge leaf raised to shield his face with a lantern that keeps the flames from doing more damage. "I will roast you and serve you in a stew!" Petey raises that lantern, which could likely hold Alden, then waves it back and forth in front of him. As he does, a series of large fireballs are launched at Alden. Each one threatens to surround the Weregarurumon with an explosion of fire! But, with his athleticism he might be able to dodge most of them.
Alden	Alden earflats as he sees the huge lantern, it never works. Still, he tries to look confident, "I defeated salads more fierce than you." he taunts back, feeling a bit silly as he did. The fireballs look... extremely dangerous, and he tries his best to duck and jump weave through them!. He seems to be doing a decent job, and he approaches towards one side of the gigantic toothy plant, "Garuru kick!" hebarks, as he tries to roundhouse the chubby plant's side rather hard.
Sarracenia	The giant plant laughs boisterously at Alden's retort, continuing to swing the lantern about. "I have patted puppies more fierce than you!" he says. Just before he gets roundhoused in the side! Petey stumbles to the side, and definitely felt that, but he doesn't look like he is out yet. He swings the lantern at Alden, fully expecting him to dodge away. But, either way, space should be created between them! Petey takes a deep breath, then lets loose with another fireball. Except this one is as large as his head, and rolls around the platform, covering nearly from side to side on the platform. "Eat that!"
Alden	The digimon jumps back quickly, obviously not wanting to get macked by the lantern!. "Let's see if you still think I am a puppy after this." he says, getting bold, and quite hoping he can finish the fight soon!. He grins as he slides a new card, "Aero wings!". His form grows brighter for a moment,before a pair of glowing wings appear on his back!. He barely his the time to take to the air as the giant fireball rolls along the ground. He quickly charges at the big plant, preparing the knuckles. "Baldy Blow!" he exclaims, fists glowing as he tries to deliver a powerful punch right on the stomach of the oversized plant.
Sarracenia	Petey keeps laughing right through Alden's new card use and his leap into the air. Petey seems quite certain that nothing could escape his giant fireball attack. Right up to the moment that the powerful flying, diving, brass-knuckled punch is delivered to his oversized belly. The big guy lets out a powerful 'oof!' as the air is knocked right out of him, then he goes stumbling back toward the short railing of the tower platform. He manages to stabilize himself before he falls off the platform, then he laughs again. "You call that a hit?" he bellows, then lowers his head and charges Alden like a bull charging a matador. If a bull had a gigantic mouth full of just as gigantic shark-like teeth. As he charges, Petey bites his way along. If he catches Alden, the wolf might end up with some pretty deep teethmarks!
Alden	Alden growls at Petey manages to shrug off the punch, "Guess you are too fat for punches." he says softly, trying to fly back, when the large piranha plant charges!. He begins moving aside quickly, when the wings apparently decide they did enough, and vanish into thin air, leaving the werewolf to fall down, and roll along the ground!. Still, he manages to get out of the way!, and punishes the blind charge with another burst of flame on his back. "Tell me, are you inmune to explosions or ice?" he asks softly.
Sarracenia	Petey charges right on by as Alden dodges to the side. He slides to a stop at the other edge of the platform, then stands and chuckles. "What? Who is immune to such things?" she says before he twirls that lantern above his head. As he does, motes of fire start to form in the air above him. "You should worry more about yourself!" With that, those fiery motes start firing at Alden like bullets. Not quite as fast, of course, but they pepper the area like fiery machine gun shots. "Give up now! I'll never give up the princess!" Speaking of princess, she is glued to the bars of her prison, watching excitedly as Alden takes on Petey. "You can do it, hero!"
Alden	Alden grins at that reply, "Good to know." he says, growling loudly as he uses what he hopes will be the final card. While the lantern begins to swing above, he slashes it!, "Digi modify Warp digivolve!". He seems to be trying to show off a bit as he does it!. He is quick to place the device back on his belt, even as his form glows brightly for an instant, hiding him from sight before the light fades, revealing an armored (or is it robotic?) quadrupedal wolf!. The lantern is his biggest concern, and he tries to take care of the forming stone quickly!, the quadruped looking up and growling "Giga freezer!" while his chest opens, and a blue tipped missile (which amusingly, has a fanged grin and angry eyes not unlike the projectiles from earlier) comes shooting towards the source of the fire!. It seems normal enough, until it hits, instead of a fiery explosion, Petey can feel a rather intense coldness from the blast, which leaves everything caught in it frozen solid!, that includes the lantern, and likely the tip of the leaf holding it at the very least.
Sarracenia	As fire bolts land all around and against Alden, that missile fires. It flies true and hits that lantern, causing it to freeze solid. Petey lets out a bellowing roar as his leaf-arm is frozen solid along with the lantern. Both are left held above his head, and he is left growling in pain. "M-my arm!" he groans, stumbling back. Until finally... "Gwaaaaah!" Petey plummets off the tower and out of sight. And there is a resounding thud down below as he hits the ground. When he does, the bars covering the door to the princess's cell open. "Ah! I'm free!" the princess calls out happily, then emerges from the room before looking around. She smiles at Alden, then rushes toward him. "Hurry! We have to get out of here! Carry me!" she says, practically leaping into Alden's arms. Getting out of here would be wise. It sounds like the many troops who are still inside the tower are headed up the stairs!
Alden	Alden lacks arms, being a robotic quadruped lupine! btu he is large enough to carry an adult human or two on his back, "Of course your majesty." he offers politely, bowing a bit, "Please climb on my back." he says, tail twitching happily, the blade moving around. He looks for an open balcony, and once the princess is set, he runs, and jumps out!. This form is able to fly,so he makes a straight line towards teh nearest safe spot, trying to make sure he lands before he has to revert to his weaker form due to lack of energy.
