Alden Alden sent the call, and waited for the group to arrive at the coordinates. He seems nervous, pacing a bit, and checking something on the screen of a portable device that was being held near a sitting Katze (not his D-Arc, seems he also got himself a small tablet phone thingy!) and grumbling softly.

Katze remains nearby, looking at the Gabumon with concern, and turning to peek at the screen. "What is so bad about this blurry thing that is making you act like this?.". Alden sighs a bit, "I will explain again when the others get here.
Taro     Although Taro made no specific acknowldgements over the radio, that doesn't mean he wasn't listening. There he is now, arriving with the dark flash a transserver teleport. He isn't alone either, as at least one of his shinki associates is with him.
He'll stand in place for a moment, to let his companion(s) have the chance to reorient, before walking forward to where Alden and Katze are waiting. "Good evening. I hope you were being deliberately vague over the public channel...?"
Gaonoir Crystal Valley was becoming a regular visit at this rate.

And despite the reassurance there would be no demonic bunnies this time Gaonoir was still on edge. Because that meant it could possibly be the other thing Alden had talked about after the last sparring match. Which would be why he was conserving his energy and not evolving to just fly them to Alden's location.

It still takes several likely long for Alden minutes before the familiar electric motor sputter of a scooter can be heard coming from the direction of the Jungle path. "We really need to get a faster means to drive around." Gaonoir grumps from the back of the seat. But at least waits from Erika to pull to a stop and park the scooter before he hops off. And try not to look a little envious of the teleporters. "I still have a bad feeling about this, Cherubimon or not."

"You have a bad feeling about everything," Erika retorts. Though even her ethusiasm is a bit dampered from usual. This could be seriously serious stuff.
Kari Wolf     Kari and Harriet have come along for the ride. They seem fairly shocked by the transerver teleport. After a moment, Kari says "Let's do that again!" with enthusiasm, turning to face Taro before realizing that Alden is here. She waves at Alden. "Hi!" She's wearing her heavy duty Dire Wolf armor, looking fairly menacing for her size with the oversized arms and legs. Her visor covers her eyes, piping in things like heat-based vision and other filters.
Harriet is in her own armor, a cream-colored rabbit-themed one with sensor ears and a shoulder-mounted gun of some sort. Unlike her smaller sister, Harriet is disoriented by the teleport and is wobbling about in circles to get her bearings. Clearly the teleport has played havoc with her sensitive spatial senses. "Could somebody stop the world? I'd like to get off..." She says quietly, though her voice is wobbly from dealing with the spinning sensation.
Kirito Kirito's arrival is a bit different from usual. It's no fairy flying in from the skies. No wings of light, no pointy ears... instead, Kirito is a human. A human dressed in a naval officer's coat from a few centuries back with golden buttons and a stylish tricorne hat. His getup is entirely black otherwise - black boots, black pants. The hat's black. Primary color: Very black.

And instead of his typical longswords he's got a cutlass and a belt full of knives. Throwing knives.

    Smells like pirate hunter, really.

"What's going on?" He quietly asks upon nearing Alden, and glancing around to see who else is coming.
Alden Alden basically jumps when Taro arrives in such a way, looking somewhat startled by that, "That is really handy." he says softly, before smiling to Kari, Taro and Harriet!, he moves to offer a friendly pat to Kari and waves to Harriet. "Thank you all for coming here... I will feel very dumb if this ends up being nothing, but... better safe than sorry." he begins.

Katze is wearing her battle armor too, it mostly covers her torso, arms and feet, but is not wielding her weapons yet, she can call them easily enough. The 'drones' are buzzing around tho, the tiny ships flying and looking at everyone. She moves towards Harriet, "Are you ok?" she asks.

Gao's and Erika's arrival is met with a rather happy wave from the digimon, "Thanks for coming I appreciate it." he even hugs Erika, before turning to face Kirito. It takes him several moments to realize who this person is, before he blinks, "Kirito?" he says tells the pair, before moving to pick up the tablet, "Glad to see you again!, you are a pirate now?" he says with a slight grin. He moves back to the tablet near Katze, picking it up. "I'd like to explain what is worrying me so much, in case I am right.".

He holds the screen up and displays the picture in it. The image is blurry, but shows 2 distinct purple things floating, the easiest way to describe them might be 'somewhat bird shaped' with a pair of large purple 'wings', each with some hard to see golden mark in the middle, a long tail, and oddly, they seem to be attached to some kind of pipe or tube. (a blurrier version of http://wikimon.net/images/thumb/2/2d/D_Reaper_ADR2.JPG/300px-D_Reaper_ADR2.JPG with just 2 of the things in it).

"Basically, I fear that the D-Reaper is slipping into this place through the gate I used to come here." he mumbles softly. He waits a moment, trying to figure how to explain, "To try to keep this short... the D-Reaper is... a thing... it is in the digital world but it is not a digimon, we are not sure what it is... and it spreads erasing everything around it... and absorbing things to use their powers so it can beat any resistance more easily." he says softly. "I am not even sure if it can affect living things... all I know is that... just being in an area being... affected is dangerous without protection, it wears you down, sapping your energy... and weakening you until you just... break appart... at least for digimon." he says, giving Gao a concerned look. "As long as we are careful, we should be ok, I even got something I can try to use to give us a respite if we are getting caught inside the effect."
Taro     Taro frowns more deeply as he gracefully kneels down on one knee next to Harriet, literally offering her a hand to steady herself. "Sorry about that. I didn't think that the orientation shift would be so troublesome. Close your eyes and stand still, and it should pass."
Once Harriet seems to be feeling better (or at least not wobbling so badly), the android turns an eye to the others, his gaze lingering slightly longer on the 'pirate'. "Hello again, Gaonoir, Erika. That's a new look for you, Kirito."
Then, attention falls back to Alden as the digimon explains why he's called out for all of their assistance. His brow furrows slightly at the image on the screen. "Mm. It sounds not unlike an IC program we use for network defense. Is it solitary, or does it travel in groups, or do you know?"
Gaonoir Erika walks over to squat next to Alden so she can see the blurry display a little more clearly. "Well, I can say from experience your monster image capturing skills are a lot better than most of the sasquatch pictures I've seen."

Gaonoir glances at the Shinkis for a moment, and despite his dourness manages a faint hint of a smile briefly. "A wolf, a rabbit and a cat. You guys are as mixmatched as some digimon gangs I've seen." Taro and Kirito (that is Kirito right?) get a brief nod, but his attention shifts back to the matter at hand. "So that's the things you were talking about, huh?" Folds his arms idly. "Don't get too concerned. We don't know if it even affects digimon not from your world... Not that I intend to find out the hard way."
Kari Wolf     Kari bwees as Alden pats her. "It's okay! I don't mind helping a friend! And Harriet wanted to make sure I didn't get into too much trouble..." She looks at Harriet, who has decided to sit down and take Taro's advice about standing still. It's hard to know if Harriet has her eyes closed since the helmet covers her entire face. "But I think I'm going to have to keep her out of trouble too." She turns to look at the others in turn, not recognizing Kirito, Gaonoir, or Erika at all. She smiles and waves at them anyway as Alden begins explaining.
"That sounds terrible!" Kari says. "We should get a nice strong anti-virus and sic it on the D-Reaper!"
Kirito Kirito grimaces at the image on display. And its description. "... And you know where this is... or what it's doing... or have some idea of how to stop it?"

His tone is grim and business-like, also rather tense. THAT sounds like a threat to all kinds of things... ALL kinds of things.

"Not a pirate! Just a friendly privateer!" He lifts his cap ever so slightly, flashing a minor grin for show. Then nods Taro's way. "There's a VRMMO called Cutlasses 'n Cannons Online we're investigating. I didn't have time to switch back to ALO for this... still new with this system." Grump.
Alden Alden takes a small pause to let everyone look at the picture, smiling to Gaonoir, and then back to Taro, blinking as he manages to make a rather good guess of the things on the screen. "You are quite right about it, those are scouts, they just float around and gather info for the D-Reaper." he explains, "It's not so much they... work together, in that it is all part of the same creature..." he says, rumbling softly, "They are usually not alone, well, not for long, if they are out, chances are other types are also in the area... I mean, if the things in the picture are what I think they are." he adds.

Alden flicks his tail, "I am just... paranoid... I was almost killed by the D-reaper.. it's how I ended up glitched, and separated of my tamer... but I do wonder what that dark... thing in you might do to the reaper." he says softly. To Kirito, the Gabumon smiles, "That's simple... it just wants to erase everything, those things? scouting the area, sending info for it to know what is around, perhaps scare away people while other... versions arrive. As for stopping it, depends how late I am, I know how to kill them, massive and slicing that tube thing that connects them to the rest." he says softly,

"I know some digimon purifying attacks work as well, but I don't have any card with those.". "Basically, unless you cut their connection, they will regenerate almost instantly out of anything short of complete obliteration... but I think if that sword you have is good enough, it should come very handy."
Gaonoir "I don't have any 'purifying' attacks but I do have that code destroyer. And plenty of cutting." Gaonoir clenches his gloved paws a few times as if flexing the joints. Or mimicing extending the warblades of his recently unlocked final evolution.

With a soft hmmm Erika pushes herself back to standing and flips out her own digivice. It just pings softly as it syncs up with Gaonoir and activates the usual bio screen. "Sever the cables and blow them up. It almost sounds like going for the weak point on a video game boss."
Taro     "An understandable paranoia, Alden. Unfortunately my best anti-viral programs work only in cyberspace, not in the physical world." Perhaps in the digital world they would work, but that's merely an unspoken hypothesis.
"However, if they're existing in the physical world," Taro continues, "Then I would think that they would adhere to the same physical rules that the rest of you do...? In which case, I'd say we're all well armed. And hopefully we are not too late to contain them, if they are here at all."
Kirito "Purifying magics and powers... I just have a sword and some knives." Kirito grouches, scratching his chin thoughtfully. If it comes down to something like that, he might not be useful at all.
Alden Alden ponders to the idea from Kari, "Maybe that would work, but not sure it is a virus." he says softly, musing a bit, before looking back at Taro. "Well, just... be careful, they can be surprisingly strong and resistant." he says softly, before smiling to Gao, "I think that should work well, certainly against the smaller ones, and even on the big ones with some help.". To Kirito, he gets closer, "Like I said, a sword will be useful, if you can slip around to cut those cables, most of them are basically doomed once disconnected." he says softly.

He reaches to pick up Katze, "Now, we should head there and see what is going on." he says softly, "I am really glad this area is... kind of abandoned." he muses. It is a fair bit of distance, but as they get close, there is some obvious sign of activity, a large... flock? of the creatures from the image flying around, staring at the crystals, the ground, and following any random thing that dared to get closer. They don't seem the only ones!. On the ground level, there are several odd grey and red creatures floating just a few feet from the ground, looking a bit like cephalopods with 4 extremeties, also connected to some unknown mass via red cables. They look mostly harmless, until a bird flies too close, and one of them turns to face it, raising all four of the limbs, revealing them to be some sort of energy cannon, bulging briefly before blasting energy shots at the poor lost avian. They seem to work like defense turrets. Not that great at tracking small things tho.
Kari Wolf     Kari nods to Alden. "Good thing I have blades and Harriet has swords then!" She says to Alden before they set out.
Kari looks like she's peering intently at the weird things before one starts blasting away at a bird. "Woah. Totally unfriendly!" She glances at Alden and the others, wondering if she should actually wait and slip in while the D-Reaper things are distracted by the others.
Harriet looks at her sister, seemingly reading her mind. "We should slip in when they're distracted by the others, since we're small and hard to see. Then we can cut the cables."
Kari beams at her sister. "I was just thinking that!"
Harriet seems to roll her eyes, judging by her body language. "A rare moment of sense from you then, Kari."
    "Hey!"
Taro     Taro fully intends to be careful. Too many people fuss at him after he loses limbs.
Taro follows Alden's lead further out into the crystalline wilderness, keeping a watchful eye and ear for anything amiss. And truth be told, he's also keeping half an eye on Kari and Harriet. Not that they can't look after themselves, of course, but Kari is Kari and Harriet is Harriet...
He slows, then strops, crouching slightly as they spot the none too friendly creatures Alden had worried were here...and more besides, it appears. "Looks like you were right to worry," he notes quietly. Then, with a glance down as the sisters, "A short and simple plan. Unless anyone has a better one?" And then to the others, though mostly to Kirito, "Do you bring any long-range weapons with you?"
Gaonoir Finding a convenient outcropping of crystal near the site Gaonoir crouchs down behind it, with Erika doing the same next to him. The girl reachs over the digimon just far enough to hold up her D-Port and get a quick picture... that turns out as nothing but blurry. She makes a face, flicks to the other screen with her thumb, and sure enough it doesn't show up like the Digimon scans. "Yep, definately not normal," she murmurs. Glances over at the Shinki. "If that's the case, then you and Alden should go out first. They'll likely react to a Digimon right away since there purpose is... you know."

"That's... actually not a bad idea. Kirito can go with them if he's worried about being spotted too easily so they're not entirely alone," Gaonoir agrees. "Taro can... no offense, I ain't sure -what- you do. Sure you'll find something useful. If you're ready."

Erika adjusted her glasses a moment, then gripped her digivice tightly as she flicked it back to the primary screen. It was like her grip alone was enough to get the point of focus across as the device had already started to flicker with additional motes of energy.

"Good." Gaonoir climbed up atop the crystal, then took a few bounds across the formations to get away from where the others had hunched down. Erika leans back against the outcropping, squeezing the device tighter for a moment before holding it up and as best a dramatic pose she can make without standing and revealing herself to release the energization of her spirit that had been focusing into the device.

As he reached the end of the formations opposite the group Gaonoir left into the air, letting the surge of power fill him. As much as it annoyed him a little still having to rely on someone else, Alden had made it clear this was no foe to be taken lightly. "Black Gaomon, Warp Digivole!" The energy consolidated briefly then expanded outward, shielding his form as it was reconfigured into the new stage, and the dark code from within manifesting physically into the Beast Knight's midnight armor. As it came to an end the energy corona shattered away, cape sweeping into position at his back as Gaonoir landed back atop the crystals.

"UMBRA GAOGAMON!"

There is no way the sudden appearance and evolution of an Ultimate (or would they register it as Mega? Whatever!) level digimon could -not- be noticed by those things.
Kirito "They're that weak cut off? Then maybe this'll work." Kirito now has renewed hope! So he grits his teeth firmly.

To Taro, he shakes his head. "Just throwing knives. True swordsmen don't need guns or magic!" Right? Right.

So he walks with the group, along with Alden... the sight's enough to get him boggling in a bit of horror.

Naturally, he's hiding with the others.
Alden Alden does not seem particularly happy with the situation either, "I can help everyone get closer without issue, as long as those are the worst we have to worry about." he says. He takes a page of Gao's book, asking Katze to use his card, and wasting no time before the mechanized garurumon was standing near the group!. Of course, that display, and Gao's own, causes pretty much all of the grey D-agents to turn towards them, followed by a rather impressive volley of energy blasts.

"Quick, the other card!" "Taomon!, Talisman Spell!". The digimon claws some marks on the ground, a large ying and yang mark appearing beneath him and the others (of close), followed by a bright, semi transparent bubble forming over them. The shots collide with the shield, followed by a grunt from Alden, before the ying and yang symbol beneath them begins to raise to the air a foot or so, and approaches the attacking creatures. The flight is slightly rocky as the blasts continue to hit on the barrier.

Thankfully, most of the enemies decide to instead attack the large knight charging at them!. The attacks are not particularly strong (at least to Gaonoir) and bounce harmlessly against the armor. "Now!, split and attack them while distracted!, Kirito, slice the cables and that should be enough to beat them." he tells him. "Ignore the ones with wings, they can't attack, only destroy them once the others are gone."
Gaonoir Several shots impact with his armored form, and while the damage is minimal if at all, it does not go unnoticed. Gaonoir is well enough aware of how durable this form is gauge how destructive that would be to a standard Digimon.

Doesn't meant they should be taken lightly. Anything but. That's just all the more indiciator how dangerous these things could be.

Thankfully, since she can see through Gaonoir's eyes through the D-Port, Erika doesn't have to exposre herself to the danger needlessly. "Since it's a creation of Yggdrassil the Dark Digitron probably doesn't exist where they come from. At the moment you've got an advantage," she murmurs into the device.

"An advantage to well be used." Gaonoir lunges towards the nearest of the four-armed D-Reapers, slicing downward on either side of it with his darkness-infused warclaws at the limbs. Even if they can regenerate, a brief disabling of their attack means buys the others more time to get to the cables.
Taro     "Build things, normally," Taro answers Gaonoir, either in all seriousness or in excellent deadpan (or both?). He raises his right arm, a panel on his gauntlet retracting to reveal the muzzle of a plasma buster. "But I dabble in a few other things."
Since the digimon have taken it on themselves to play the roles of Distractions and Targets, the android moves up behind them (and in front of Erika, if so allowed) to lay down some cover fire. When Alden tells them not to worry about the winged ones, he changes targets accordingly, moving to fire at the more squidlike ones.
Kari Wolf     Both Kari and her larger sister bounce in long leaps along the ground, zig-zagging to be a little less predictable. While Kari is smaller and probably harder to track for the squid-like D-Reaper forms, Harriet can leap longer distances. There's some close calls as they avoid shots, both ones meant for them and ones meant for others.
Of the two, Harriet reaches the d-reapers first, her assault laser locked in a stowed position since she figures she won't need it, instead pulling out short swords scaled for her size and crouching behind a crystal to wait for the right moment to leap out and sever the cable with her blades. Preferably when an ally has the thing's attention.
Kari seems to trust her comparably heavier armor and leaps right for one of the cables, slashing with both her arm blades and her tail knife at the cable, looking like a little green and white dervish as she does so.
Kirito "This got dire fast!" Kirito's not as fast as he normally is. He can't fly. But he still has his insane sprinting skill! So when he takes off... it's pretty damn fast still. He runs in a wide arc, hoping to flank the creature and come in from its sides while distracted. "On it!" He shouts back to Alden.

His will is focused, his resolve steeled. The rasp of metal accompanies him frenzily drawing his cutlass as he nears his target, eyes locked onto those vulnerable caples. "HUUUAGH!!"

With a leap and a slash, DOWN he comes, aiming to bisect the things with all his might!
Alden Alden meant to take everyone!, but guesses taking the position of glowing target works either way. He watches Gaonoir easily slash around, the creatures easily broken appart. If the attack destroys the main bodies, they disperse into the air as a pinkish and purple mist, otherwise, their form ripples as they swiftly regenerate, and continue trying to attack Gaonoir.

With their focus on the largest of the enemies, Kari and Harriet have a rather easy time sneaking around, the aim of the odd cephalopods was not that good anyway, at least against targets that small!. The reaper cables were easily sliced away, and each creature disconnected seemed to spasm and scream, as it starts to evaporate!. Kirito's attacks seem to be just as successful, the red cable surprisingly weak! All in all, the creatures seem fairly vulnerable,. Taro's sniping certainly helps keep him and Erika safe, the shots easily disabling the squidlike things. Even with regeneration, it takes a moment to regain their targets.

Alden finally decides to begin attacking as we!. A series of clicks coming from his form as he shifts his stance, the barrier fading. "Giga destruction!". A swarm of missiles flies from the compartments over most of his form, and carpet bombs the area!, the explosions enough to take out any of the 'spy' creatures they hit, and even several of the gunnery ones, but most simply tank the damage and regenerate.

Erika might hear an odd clicking noise, and if she turns around, one of the 'bird' shaped creatures seem to appear being her, head tilting to one side as it simply... looks at the girl, before floating away. After several moments of the group destroying the bulk of the creatures, there is a loud screech from the center, and a pair of figures raise from the group. These two look fairly different from the rest... and the easiest way to describe them might be... purple ghosts, like... pacman, or halloween disguise style, a purple blanket, an orange 'mask' for a head, and perhaps the main source of danger, a pair of scythes connected to spindly 'arms', and a pair of thick legs with large, pendulum style blades attached. Each has a group of 6 orange spheres, bearing the same design as the 'mask' around them.
Taro     Taro ducks as either a well-timed shot or stray fire (it's a bit difficult to tell at this point) streaks past his ear. Unlike some of the others, he did not bring much in the way of heavy artillery - he's meant for finesse, not ground-pounding - but his supportive fire does seem to be helping...
He winces at the screech and its echo off the surrounding crystals, but then his eyebrows arch as he gets his first glimpse of the creatures that made that horrible sound.
With surprising calm, and without looking back to Erika, he asks, "I don't suppose that device of your knows what that is?"
Gaonoir Erika looks up at the clicks behind her, and briefly catchs her breath in her throat.... Though the thing floats off again without a word. Maybe it didn't care because she was just a human. Or not attacking. Not going to question it! ".. I can only presume it is another version of them. Maybe the controller?" It's the best answer she can give Taro at the moment. "It only scans actual Digimon!"

The different between slashing through bodies and just cutting off limbs resulting in regeneration or not doesn't escape Gaonoir's notice. But by the time he's pulled back from his own strikes to recoup the majority of the infestation has been dealt with.

"Every invasion needs commanders," Gaonoir remarks in his deeper, more reverbrant voice that goes with the armored form. "Sometimes they don't come out until you kill off the troops." Briefly he crosses his arms in front of himself, warclaws glowing with miasmas of black and purple energy.

"UMBRA CUTTER!"

Then whips his arms out to his sides, the motion flinging the energy off his claws towards the newly emerged versions in a barrage of crescent shaped energy blades.
Kari Wolf     The shinki regroup behind a larger crystal outcropping. Kari peers out cautiously from behind it at the new bad guys. "What if we shot the spheres?"
Harriet peeks out herself. "I don't know. Are they defensive or offensive?" She says to her sister.
Kari hmmms. "Smoke grenades?" Clearly meaning to cover the shinki's advance towards the new things.
    Harriet nods. "Smoke grenades."
With that, Kari hops out from behind the crystal and unleashes a barrage of smoke grenades from her launchers, then omphs! as Harriet jumps past and grabs her smaller sister under the arms to carry along for the ride, relying on Kari's radio'd instructions to guide her since she cannot see through all the smoke the tiny explosives have kicked up. Harriet's assault laser swivels up and over her shoulder as they leap clear of the smoke cloud, Kari and herself unleashing a hail of laser fire at the spheres surrounding one of the pendulum-scythe guys before dropping back down to the dust-kissed ground below.
Kari yells "SHINKI SURPRISE!" as they emerge, somehow unable to help herself.
Kirito Despite his change in genre from Magical Fairy Swordsman to swashbuckler, Kirito's mad sword skills carry him far! As creatures are separated from the mass he leaps around and cuts them in midair, ducks under strikes and parries frenzied creatures with the flat of his blade. Several times his sword lights with shining power and moves with lightning speed to twirl and dice in stylish Swashbuckler Skills, as they're called, but mostly he's focused on those darn cables!

"What's going on over there?!" He whirls around upon hearing the screech... and clenches his teeth upon seeing the weird ghosts. "... That's a monster if I ever saw one." SCYTHE GHOSTS.

He speeds on over and immediately moves to engage one of the scythe-ghosts, hoping his speedy swordsmanship will press it into a full defense and keep it from attacking at all!
Alden
The two figures seem to be proper combat units, FAST combat units. The sneak attack from the tiny ones seems enough to catch them unaware, and the floating options seem to blow up after receiving some damage, the others launching towards Gaonoir!. Yet another pair seem to be dissoriented by the smoke and slamming into eachother so only a couple manage to get even close to their target. They seem to act like rockets/missiles, hitting hard enough to at least push back most digimon.

One of them is 'tagged' by the barrage of energy blades as it tried to swiftly dance between them, the energy attack easily slicing one of the creature's sice arms, and the side, and one of the legs, even as it twisted and tried to avoid getting destroyed. It recoils as it tries to recover. The other one quickly dives away, watching intently and begins to spin like a top, the scythes glowing... black?. A couple of suspiciously familiar energy blades flying towards the main threath. (yes, they can copy techs).

Thankfully it is interrupted in it's attempt when Kirito charges with the blade, pulling back and shifting, using it's blades to parry the sword attacks. Both seem aware of the 'cable' weakness, moving to block or dodge attacks at them!, trying to adapt to the small swordman, and pinned to defense for now.

Since everyone else is focused on the larger targets. Alden decides to continue attacking the smaller ones, taking a pause from the missile barrage to reload, and instead, he takes to the air, charging at the left over cephalopods, and destroying them with well aimed hits of wing blades and chest missiles.
Gaonoir "What the frag?!" Reflexively Gaonoir holds up his arms to guard himself with the shield-like vambraces as one of the things decides to chuck a version of his own attack right back at them! Little explosions of smoke and energy can be seen as they slam against the heavy armor, but it's still enough to push him backwards a bit since the replicated attack caught him a bit unexpectently.

Okay, clearly there was no screwing around with these things.

With a metallic snarl he digs in with his feet. The digital sensors in his helmet sweep over the fight, locking primarily on the scythe-armed targets. One hand grabs the edge of his shadow-like cloak and lifting it part way up. These 'lead' creatures seem to be more aware of watching their weak point. "Let's see how well they watch through this..."

Gaonoir whips his arm forward as if to throw the cloak, only for it to erupt into shadows surging towards the scythe-limbed Reapers. "TENEBRAE SHROUD!" Around the two units everything descends into unnatural pitch darkness.

And then Gaonoir moves swiftly through the darkness with his shadowalking, seeming almost to teleport up behind the two units and slice at their cables with his warblades. Though the only thing anyone outside the envelope of darkness would see is the 'hit flash' streaks of his claws. Then he moves again just as quickly.

To the point that when the tenebrae fades apart he's already standing back at the point he originalled moved from.
Kari Wolf     Kari and Harriet sense that heavier hitters than them have the scythe types dealt with, and scamper off to deal with the other ones, aiming to quickly sever the cables. There's a few close calls as they have to dodge friendly fire and enemy fire.
Kirito Thankfully Kirito's main job for raids in Sword Art Online was often 'parry tank.' It was Kirito who adapted the quickest to unfamiliar attacks and parried in the nick of time... and all of that experience carries him far here! Blades clang and clash, sparks flying as he kiais and parries again and again.

Then... he spots a chance between strikes to lunge in and go on the offensive. His sword shines and strikes upwards!
Alden Kirito certainly does a very good job!. The one intact monster is basically pinned there, until the darkness engulfs it, and the other one!. There is a confused scree from the pair as they are covered in darkness, slashing around blindly in an attempt to get away. As the cables get cut, they begin to make more noises, floating up, twitching!. They are stunned as they seem to slowly melt/evaporate. Alden does not let them get that far, a large missile hits teh less damaged one right on the ugly orange head/mask, causing the form to dissipate completely!.

It seems that all the visible things were taken care of!. All that was left is a bit of purple... mist?, it is too solid to be mist... coming from the portal. But suddenly, it begins to retreat, louder screeching noises and bipping noises emanating from the portal, before a digimon jumps through!.

It is a small(ish) quadruped feline, tawny gold, with a mop of reddish orange on the top of it's head, and a golden collar around it's neck, it somehow manages to give the impression he is not very 'impressed' with this new world, even bored. "So you are the ones fighting it on this side." the feline muses, sounding neutral, but giving Gaonoir and Alden a rather surprised look, "Digimon... here?... Zhuqiaomon will have to hear this." it mumbles.

The feline quickly regains it's composture tho, clearing it's throath, "I come in behalf of the digimon Sovereigns, they... apologize for this incident... seems the D-Reaper managed to sneak past the firewall and atempted to push through this weird portal while we were distracted." it says, pacing around. "But we managed to block it off again, so it should not appear on this side again.". It looks around, and gives a rather reluctant bow to everyone, "Lord Zhuqiaomon thanks you for your help, but we have this controlled now, so we don't need any further assistance.". It begins to pad back to the portal, but stops as it remembers something and turns towards Alden, "And you Traitor, Azulongmon wanted me to tell you that your human 'partner' is safe." he hisses at the words human, and 'partner' before vanishing back into the portal. (http://wikimon.net/Liollmon).
Gaonoir Erika frowns at the way the lion-mon hisses the word human, but then it's back off through the portal before she can say anything. Which is probably for the better, because she probably would of started asking things that would of only annoyed it farther.

Gaonoir just stares at the portal until the new digimon leaves ago. "... And they call me a jerk," he muses, before turning his attention in Alden's direction. "He wouldn't lie about something like that just to lure you in, would he?"
Alden Alden just stares at teh portal, and growls at the cat, "Stupid thing." he mumbles weakly as it faded, approaching Gao and letting out a sigh, "I forgot to mention... some of the sovereigns... and some of the digimon there, don't like humans... think it was good it did not see Erika, better it thinks I am teh only one with a human partner." he says softly. The question makes him flick one ear, "I am not sure... I don't think it might dare to use Azulongmon's name in vain, and he was pretty much ok with humans..." he says softly. "But, perhaps they just want me there to trap me with the reaper, and make me fight it."
Gaonoir "Either way, all the more reason to not go alone if you do," Gaonoir replies, before devolving back to his usual form.

"Gaonoir's right." Erika walks over to pick up Alden in a hug. "It's good that your human is okay, but if -those- things have overrun the place, you definately shouldn't go looking for them by yourself."
