Reize Seatlan EARLIER

It was supposed to be a simple sailing trip. Sail on a boat, nothing more. If you sail on a boat, you are guaranteed to find new adventure. Well, in the midst of losing your lunch while on the boat. Unfortunately for Reize, traveling through sea has not been a great experience for him.

"Ugh... this can't get any wors----"

Suddenly, insert storm. There is a raging wind that forms at the very center of everything. It roars heavily, threatening to tear at anything in its wake. Unfortunately, Reize is within its wake.

"AHHHHH!" As much as the boy tried to brave the raging waves and steer the boat....

NOW

It has been about a day or so since the incident. Reize's face is buried along the sandy ground, off within an island where many sailors pass through. Thankfully, the island itself is not uninhabited. There may be civilization miles off.

The Boy with the Long Yellow Scarf lies here, face flat on the ground while the water washes along his entire body.
Toph Beifong     Most of the time when she's on her usual trips to gather various rocks and new metals, Toph prefers to go somewhere far away from large bodies of water. Can you blame her? But just going to the same place and getting the same type of rock is hardly constructive... so today she's decided to go outside of her comfort zone as she explores the island. Sure, the weather is fine, the people are okay, especially when you run into familiar ones like Deelel, and the beach isn't too bad. And so Toph had invited the Program to join her if she wanted to, all while heading off to the beach. The sand isn't too rough as she strolls along and inspects rocks along the way, idly keeping up any chitchat with Deelel since the last time they met. It's been a while, after all.

Even if she hasn't found anything interesting yet, it's still not bad being outdoors and all.

When Toph draws near to the body lying down by the water lapping at the sand however, the earthbender halts. "Is... something lying there?" she asks Deelel. There is a slightly concerned look on her face as she hurries on over, then crouches down and reaches a hand out to shake the quiet figure. "Hey... can you hear me?" Good, he's still got a heartbeat.
Deelel Deelel had been invidted by Toph and was quite happy about this. She wa glad to get out with TIOph and just check out the island. TOph knew a lot about the nature of minerals and rocks. Which generally just eluded the basic. She had been enjoying chatting with her frinf as they went but they pause at the boddy and she looks concerned.

"Yes not sure if they are dead or not. Toph you got any thing?"

She knows the young human can see in ways other humans can not after all. She does near Reize with a look of concern on her face.
Finna There's a fuzzy creature on these beaches that perhaps should not be! A... greyish fox. Technically a snow fox, or 'Arctic Fox' depending on the world you're from, but its summer coat is on display. A thin greyish with darker streaks instead of lustrous, but HOT white. Toph is probably familiar with this kind of creature and the trouble it has caused for her dad's image.R
ANd this creature has moseyed on over... possibly stalking Toph! Who knows. Finna is curious about what blind people do to relax and how they go about it.

IT may make for an interesting disguise some day.

But this discovery of a washed-up boy has the fox scampering down in a worried hurry. The creature tilts its head questioningly back and forth at Deelel then Toph...

Well. Animals have much sharper senses. Also much more straightforward ways of waking people up.

Finna crouches down on her forelegs, takes in a breath, and...

    "*BRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK!!!!*"

Lets loose with a harsh, mind-numbing ALARM BARK that sounds something between a dog's bark and a strangled cat singing opera. Right down at the poor boy.
Reize Seatlan      The boy looks pretty bruised up. It is rather amazing that he is still alive, considering the damage that has been done to his form. The gauntlets that the boy has bears a few chips on it, but there aren't any real fatal wounds. It's just a lot of blunt-based bruises that he has endured.

Reize is still breathing, but he is still out. That is, until Finna finally answers the age old question:

    What does the fox say?

    '*BRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWK!!!!*', apparently.

Reize's eyes snap open and he gives out a violent wet cough, letting the water escape. He gasps out, trying to seek out the air. He rolls on his back, clutching against his stomach. It is going to take him a moment to catch his breath and remember that he is alive.
Toph Beifong     Perhaps the sand is to blame, maybe it's because of Finna's light weight and footsteps... but it appears that Toph doesn't notice the fox at first, and when she does? Well, it's not bothering them, so why give Finna a hard time? If Finna is truly curious about what blind people do to relax, perhaps it would make more sense to stalk a more 'normal' type of blind person.

Thanks to her sensitive hearing and earthbending, it's easy for Toph to tell that this guy, whoever he is, is still alive. He's just not awake yet!

"His heart is beating, and he's still breathing," Toph informs Deelel. "Does he look bad?" There's no sound of irregular heart rhythm or a weak pulse, which suggests that he isn't /too/ badly off.

Which Finna seems to want to fix in her own way. Considering she's right next to Toph, it certainly seems to affect her as well as the teen lets out a startled cry and sits upright, her eyes wide in a pained wince, and she even reaches out to punch at the fox unless she avoids it. "Don't do that next to my cruddin' ear!" she protests, clearly annoyed. "Some of us have more sensitive ears than others!"

But what's more important is that the guy seemed to have heard it too, and Toph uses one hand to reach up to her own ear, rubbing it, all while she uses her other to pound Reize on the back in attempt to help him cough up any water he might have swallowed. "Let it all out now, you're gonna be fine!" she says, inwardly grumbling at the residual pain in her ear. Let's give the guy a moment to catch his breath first before asking him any questions.
Deelel Deelel pauses t the Fox, she has a thought on who it might but but she just gives the thing a /look/ for a moment before turning to see Reize who sesm to be alive.

"HE doesn't seem to have any major external damage but internal taruma is a thing that organics can suffer which I'm not well versed in in that as someone who is one might be."

She kneels down before Reize to take a closer look at him and sets a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey can you hear me? Your not dead, can you speak?"

She's glad Toph was along she might have thought him dead until Finna's alarm call had gone off otherwise.
Finna With Toph shrieking like that, Finna just JUMPS what seems to be a mile in the air Well more like ten feet. Not unlike a cat meeting an unexpected cucumber. Down she comes about five feet away, with a sorrowful chirp in answer. Both pained herself and apologetic, maybe. She regrets that approach a bit.

Even if getting the jump on Toph was perversely satisfying in a corner of her heart.

Pranksters gonna prank. What can you do about it?

"Welcome back to life!" The fox announces the coughing boy's way while Toph and Deelel administer aid. Since they seem to know what they're doing she's not going to interfere.

She's yet to see how the boy will react when he sees two people that don't register with the third voice.

Deelel will have no trouble by this point... seeing the obvious Tell-tale sign of unusual SOMETHING about the fox. Her ears catch the daylight but gleam like the moon in it. So does her fluffy tail. Deelel's seen her enough for the illusion to have little effect on her.
Reize Seatlan      From the time prior to Finna's rude awakening, Deelel will find that the boy is had been non-responsive.

But since then, those extra moments had been spent coughing. He gets rid of the excess water that has been clogging up his lungs from the time he had been unconscious. Thankfully, Toph's hardy, rocksteady(heh) strength adds more oomph into him releasing the water. "Ughk!"

Gasping, he finally gets a lung full of air, now untensing. Everything feels at ease. Despite the bruises that mark along his entire form, Reize gives off a more spirited present. "Thanks." The expression is more heartfelt, sincere. The smile is a calming one.

Pause. "...Was there someone else that spoke?"

Reize looks to his left, then to his right. Then he looks over at the fox with a curious glance.

    Nah...
Toph Beifong     His breathing certainly sounds far better now that he's coughed up all the water, and Toph withdraws her hand once she hears that he's done coughing. No need to bruise him more than necessary, after all. "You're welcome... not the best place to take a nap, though."

As for his question, she points to Finna. "She did." Damn crafty fox.

"We were just walking down here when we noticed you being out cold here. Did something happen?" the blind earthbender inquires curiously as she rises to her feet again, not looking all that worried now that the boy is awake. Though she does reach into the satchel she's flung over her shoulder and withdraws a water bottle that she holds out to him in case he wants something to drink besides the salt water he just coughed up.
Deelel Deelel was going to summon her keyblade however she isn't sure it's needed she looks to him for a moment as she rises up.

"Yes there was but take it easy you been through an ordeal of somesort. aRe you injured I can help if you have been. We were as my friend said just out and about exploring today when we dound you like a drowned kitten."
Finna "HI BOY!" Says the fox, pouncing up closer and peering up at Reize. Finna's tail is wagging up a storm and she's all lightfooted, ready to spring any which way!

"You lucky. Find many people all washed up. Most dead."
Reize Seatlan      Reize cannot help but frown regarding the nap comment. He looks a little downcast at that. He is slowly recalling how he got in the situation in the first place. However, the mysterious is still bugging him. That third voice.

    "Who?"

Reize turns his head over towards Finna as Toph directs his attention towards the fox. He peers directly at the fox for those few moments. Especially when she pounces out and wags her tail. He tilts his head at the fox.

"...You remind me of Sir Pancake." That tricky corgi spirit. He peers at Finna for those moments, until Toph asks him about what happened.

Before he can answer, he glances over the other oddity, Deelel. A grimace is given regarding his injury, "I'll be fine." The offer of the water bottle provides a better and healthier taste than the salt water, "Thanks!" Cheerfully, Reize takes the water bottle from the slightly shorter girl. He uncorks the bottle and ravenously drinks it down. Gulp gulp gulp.

Ahh... With a sigh of relief, he finally gets his bearing.

"Well.." Reize closes his eyes, "I was actually on my way to explore the next region!" His eyes re-open, lighting up with that youthful, determined gaze. "I was ready to see the rest of the world and explore new places. However, as I had sailed the sea, a raging storm appeared!" He grimaces, "...I couldn't fight it off."
Finna "Well!" With a ripple of flesh and a probably unexpected rush of motion, Finna's body enlarges and rises up. Fur's exchanged for thin, stitched leathers. A huntress' outfit, except... trimmed and streamlined to be flashier, more risque, with midriff showing. For the environment? It makes sense. It's damned HOT here.

She'd probably cover up more in the cold.

"Well. Will have to make unique impression later. Finna Snowdancer of the Moon Chosen! ... Did not think you'd be here, Deelel. Was watching Toph."
Toph Beifong     Sir Pancake? Toph arches an eyebrow at that name. Nope. Not going to even ask. It appears that the guy is going to be okay despite any pain he might be in. From the way he talks and acts he isn't whining, and his mood seems cheerful enough.

Once he gets to explaining his intention of exploration Toph listens intently, then shakes her head and asides to Deelel and Finna. "That's why I stick to staying on land if I have a say in the matter," she mutters before turning her focus back to Reize. "So you were sailing on your own?"

Though something Finna says makes Toph look confused for a moment. "Why were you watching me? I was just gathering rocks, it wasn't like I was doing anything interesting." And her next words /might/ just be a joke. "Did somebody hire you to spy on me or something? If so then you're a terrible spy."
Deelel Deelel nods and lets Reize get the water and hangs back, she looks the young man over for a moment and tilts her head a bit.

"You attempted o fight a storm?"

She seems in good spirits though and she now turns her attention to Finna.

"I don't always keep to the cyber core you know, Finna."

She makes a face and then looks to Rezie

"How rude of me am Deelel. I'm not very fond of water myself...if I am honest about it."
Reize Seatlan      ...Okay, wait what?

Seeing the fox enlarge and shapeshift before him is rather unnerving. Given that it went from a fox to a woman with the bare midriff, the boy furrows his eyebrows. At the same time, the cheeks flush before turning back. "Ahh.."

He drifts his glance towards Toph after finishing the explanation, "Yeah. I have been sailing on my own. I parted ways with someone after I helped him deal with a situation." Reize offers a faint smile, his eyes looking over. "...Some journeys have been more interesting than others." With a glance back at Toph, "I'm exploring on my own. It's the life of an adventurer."

The chatter between both Toph and Finna earns a bemused smile until Deelel finally interjects. Oh right, both Finna and Deelel introduced themselves.

"I'm Reize Seatlan, just an explorer." With a lifted spirit, his jovial grin forms, "Pleased to meet you all!"
Toph Beifong     Oh right, introduction time. "I'm Toph Beifong, the greatest earthbender of all time." Whoever this teenage girl is, she certainly has an attitude and an ego bigger than herself. "Adventurer and explorer... haven't heard you on the radio channels before. Not in the Union or the Confederacy, I take it?"

She also reaches a hand out to take the flask back if Reize is done with it. "For that matter, do you need help or anything? Considering you probably lost your stuff along with your ship..." Seriously, this is why it's more reasonable to stay on land. Though he seems awfully cheery for somebody who was just washed ashore and probably lost all his stuff.
Deelel Deelel sees that Reize seems to be all right she smirks at Toph's introduction she figured it did soudn impressive and she's yet to meet a earth bender who could top, Toph so far.

"You could say I'm a bard of sorts Reize and it's good to meet you as well I'm glad your all right though. That's quite the trip you have taken to get here."
Finna "SOLO explorer? ... Reize have death wish? ... Nearly died just now." The woman balks, but leans in a little concerned. ... Yet there's a knowing perk of alertness when he blushes. She GRINS. It is not the most heartwarming of grins. A bit too satisfied and predatory, maybe.

    Pervertedly pleased, quite possibly.

She loves getting reactions out of people.

"Takes skill though. Handling a boat all alone..."
Reize Seatlan      So the first few people he has met in a while: Finna, Deelel and now... Toph. Reize brightens cheerfully at the introductions. Though, he cannot help but give a very nervous laughter at Toph's proclamation. "Well, I will hold you to that, then!" Greatest Earthbender? What's an earthbender?

That curiosity is put on hold when Toph brings up another matter. "Union? Confederacy?" He shakes his head, "No, the last time I've interacted, it was dealing with a crew dealing with angels and demons." Realizing that he is finished with the flask, he hands it over towards Toph, "Thanks again for the water!"

As for him needing assistance, Reize lifts his shoulders, "Nah, I will jus---" He glances over at Finna as she seems to have a predatory grin. He is looking more and more nervous by the moment, "Uhhh..." He coughs, "Y--yeah! I have learned to survive on my own! I have to adapt to any danger!"

He glances back to Deelel, "Oh! A bard? So you know stories too?" He looks over at Toph and Deelel, "But anyway, I'll manage. I tend to hunt if I am low on rations until I get to the next town as well!"
...He still keeps a nervous glance over towards Finna, however.
Finna The grin doesn't go away, but it softens. Finna plants a hand on her hips confidently and stands straight again. "Next town's a ways away... easier to use the warp gate." She murmurs, somewhat thoughtfully. And possibly just musing instead of making a suggestion, by her thoughtful tone.
Toph Beifong     Is it that unreasonable to hope that some people might actually figure out what an earthbender is just by the name? It's kinda obvious! At the nervous laughter it's clear from Toph's expression that she looks kinda displeased, as if she has the impression he doesn't believe her claim. Though she will take her flask back and stuff it into her satchel again. So this guy isn't involved with the Union nor the Confederacy...

Finna seems to be in a mischievous mood as always, though she doesn't take it too far luckily. If Reize is correct about being able to adapt too, that's good. So the blind earthbender doesn't appear that worried. "It's kinda what we do, though. Helping people in need and all that crud. And Miss Screams Your Ears Off over here is right, the warp gates make travelling way easier. No storms that way."
Deelel Deelel Says "Angels and Demons humm I see." She seems to understand that concept though she doens't have much more to say but she tilts her head a little bit. "I'm more at the music end of things than stories It's not really what I was made for but I might have a few tales to tell here and there, Reize."

She looks over to Finna who clearly seems to be up to something or another as to what she doesn't know and honestly how could a Program get the chaotic mind of a /lunar/
Reize Seatlan      "Eh?" Reize looks rather confused, "Warp Gate?" He tilts his head over, though his attention drifts towards Toph as she explains about providing help. A grin brightens, "Hee, that's great! Knight's Code, First Vow: Always help a person in need! It's a great principle to live by!" He does give a thoughtful look when he looks back at Finna.

    Hm.

"I'll give the warp gate a try, then!"

A glance back is given towards Deelel, "Ahh... it's quite a tale that I'll have to explain another time." He offers a frown. He is really low on supplies. "Nevertheless, I'll have to find a town soon to restock, but I thank you all for the your help and your concern." A grin forms, "I'm sure I'll run into you all again!"
Toph Beifong     "Ah, no knightly code here," Toph comments with a shrug, "Just the non-assholish thing to do." Knights in her experience make things way too complicated, more than they need to be.

As for a town to restock? The blind girl points in a direction further inland on the island. "There's a town over there by the warp gate, not that they have a lot but at least they have food and shelter if you need it. Make sure to get a radio." As for running into them again? "Maybe, maybe not. It's a big multiverse out there."
Finna "Looking forward to it!" Finna exclaims cheerily. "Haven't run into many adventurous boys around my age. You're different from most!"
Deelel Deelel says "I'll love to hear it when you hve the time Reize. Humm there should be one near here we can help if you need it, if not you take care and hopefully we'll bea ble to meet you again as for that code? I'm afraid the only code I really know is basic." It's a terrible joke on Deelels part but she's in good spirits as she sees Reize off.
Reize Seatlan      "That's true, I suppose." Reize gives a more reflective look. His eyes cast up briefly while thinking over Toph's statement. However, it soon passes when Toph finally points towards the direction within the island. "Oh! Great!"

He beams over towards Toph, "Thanks again for the help!" The young lad finally turns over to walk off, though he spares a glance back at the three one last time before he makes his way out towards the direction that Toph provided him.

... Only to somehow end up approaching back within Finna and Deelel's peripheral vision from the direction that he was NOT at originally.

"I made it!" Pause. He looks over at the current spot and then back to Finna and the others, "Errr... Wrong turn! Uhh, farewell!" He walks back towards the original direction that Toph pointed.
Toph Beifong     Sure, Toph was about to resume her stroll along the beach, but then she halts when she realizes that... Reize is walking back towards them. The blind girl cants her head a bit, wondering if he's honestly serious when he first seems to assume that he made it to the town when he ends back up at the beach. And she sighs. "Seriously... /you/ are an explorer? Are your eyes busted or something?" she calls after him.
Reize Seatlan      "It was a wrong left turn! I swear!" shouts back Reize.
Deelel Deelel watches Reize, just have issues finding where he's uposed to go she can't help but laigh a bit at his reply to TOph about going the wrong way. Well he should be all right, right?!
