Reize Seatlan      Papaya Island is a particular island comprised of various martial artists. This tranquil, tropical paradise is a breeding ground for warriors to relax and train.

The sun shines in the air, providing that atmospheric feeling that's rather inviting for others to enjoy that tropical life. The monks that live hwere can easily be identified by the orange robes and black hats.

Further ahead are the various shops. In particular, the commotion is going on within the Delicious Saikon restaurant. After all, the boy did mention that he would be waiting there.

Inside of the restaurant is where business is booming. People from all walks of life have gathered to eat at the various tables set. One in particular is where a young boy is seated. The Boy with the Long Yellow Scarf.

    OM NOM NOM NOM!

He is grabbing the bread, bananas, and rice around, stuffing them all in his mouth. The boy is quite a messy eater.
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki hadn't really meant to be mean.

Not that she'd been mean with her words earlier. Even Reize said so. But she has respect for Karian, both for his fighting ability and the way he'd helped her friends. Having him suggest she was beng mean, particularly when she was just trying to share something she thought funny, lingers in the back of her mind.

The obvious solution is to come help Reize, whether he needs it or not. Besides, she's curious about the 'lost boy'. She's also curious about the multiverse at large, and needs few excuses to go out on an adventure. She's not so used to the Multiverse that she makes a trailblazer or anything, but she's familiar enough with it and with certain electronic resources that she's pretty sure she can help. And if not, well, she can enjoy new foods! That's always worthwhile.

She did mention she's an imp, and batlike in some ways, but the reality might be a bit of a surprise. Rather than a demonic form, Yuuki is an elfin girl with clearly-magical bat wings. The wings are black with white stars drifting across them, and they don't flap when she flies... only when she maneuvers.

Yuuki swoops down, something which provides little reaction from Papaya's natives. They've hosted the Multiversal WMAT for years now, and have seen far stranger things than a teenage girl with bat wings and a certain affection for the color purple. She sets down lightly, looking around as her wings vanish in a spray of pixellated light. "Daikon... daikon... no, that's not right. What was that name again." she mutters. She's good with names... not so good with place names. People interest her somewhat more than food. Somewhat.
Ixqor Nathrach The skies above the island were lovely this day. Hardly any clouds covered the bright sun that loomed over the tropical island, and the light blue of the open skies were as peaceful as ever. It must have been strange then to see isolated storm clouds forming in a three to 4 meter wide radius over the market district. THe clouds were unnatural, as everyone witnessing this likely expected. They danced with electrical energies, with bolts splintering off into the sky.

To more peoples suprise though, a portal opened from the cloud, one of purple, pink, and red color. Strange fog began to emit from it, forming strange and horrible faces in them. People nearby began to back off from the area below the crowd, though an unlucky man continued wheeling his cart full of fruit and breads down the dirt streets.

As some may have predicted, a figure fell from the portal, clad in brown robes, similar to that of some monestary monk. The figure was clearly not in control of his descent as he crashed into the mans cart, crushing it, as his form was large and bulky. The man's innocent smile turned to a horrified frown as he looked down at his supplies.

"Waah! How dare you! That was half of my pay right there!" The elder held his hands on his head and continued to stare at his now ruined supply. People began to crowd the scene, unsure of where teh figure had come from, and why he was even here. For the moment, he seemed unconscious.
Reize Seatlan      Thankfully, the Delicious Saikon restaurant is not too far. It may be the only thing that is related to the 'kon' within the advertised boards. Of course, it could also be that the restaurant sign is hanging right over the head of Yuuki.

Meanwhile, Reize had settled for just enjoying the food, occasionally reaching a hand out to take hold of a mug containing some water. As he drinks the mug, he places it down with a cheerful look, "Whew! This is great!" After a moment, he gives a rather thoughtful look, "...Yuna said she'd be here by now." He sighs, shaking his head. "Don't want to wait all day." He starts to get back up to his feet, running a hand over towards his stomach. "Ahhh, good food." Burp.

Once the payment is made, Reize is stepping outside of the restaurant, "Ahh...---"

That is just in time to get a good look at a portal opening from the cloud. A purple, pink, red color emanates from that cloud. As fog emits, the boy furrows his eyebrows before reaching down to his side to procure his boomerangs. "This doesn't look good."

    And a figure drops. "!!!"

Quick to respond to the situation, Reize is immediately running off towards the direction of the falling man. And then the crash comes soon after that. What is done is done, but it has given the boy a lead as to where to find the source of the commotion.
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki's pretty quick to respond to the portal and falling figure. The search for the Daikon restaurant (come on, it's a kind of food right?) will have to wait a while. She doesn't seem worried though. Eager, yes. Excited, sure. Just not worried. Those red eyes of hers shine with excitement, not with infernal fire. Of course anyone examinining her is likely to note her slight smile before they notice the eyes. She's taking pleasure in an intriguing and unique situation though, not in the collapsed figure or the epic destruction. It's not a smirk or a grin... it's just a smile.

She does put a hand on her sword's hilt as she approaches, but it's a reflex motion rather than any expectation of trouble. She pulls up short, not grabbing at the fallen figure. She blinks, looks over at the other rapid responder. Then up at the portal. "Uhh... that's the weirdest hailstorm I've ever seen?" she ventures in a familiar voice. Fortunately, she didn't claim 'it's raining men'.
Ixqor Nathrach The rather angry cart owner grabbed the robed figures shoulder and shook him as hard as he could.

"Hey, cart wrecker, wanna tell me how you expect to pay me for all of this!?"

The robed figure, stirred and reached up to his hood and pulled it down, revealing his face, a sharp featured bald man with bright yellow eyes. His eyes were only half open as he came back to his senses from the fall he took, and looking up, he saw the portal dissapear into nothingness, and the clouds scattered in a similar fashion. He sighed then, heavily, sitting up from the wreckage and brushing off the cart owners hand with his much larger one.

"Ah... My apologies sir. Warp travel is a fickled thing, and I did not intend to land upon your goods." His accent was thick and deep, but learned, having a certain flow to each of his words. "I will repay thee in kind. Just give me a moment to regroup yes?" The robed man stood then, towering over just about everyone in the crowd, appearing to be nearly eight feet tall with a wide, strong figure. His shoulders were broad under the robe, and his hands were massive by comparrison to a normal persons. The back of his robe was beginning to stain with the juice of fruits he had crushed upon falling into the cart, and upon feeling this he quirked his eyebrows. "Hmm... I'll be needing new robes then too. Damnable." His calm and welcoming demeanor remained, even when he appeared annoyed. He turned to the cart owner then, and reaching into a fold of his robes and pulled out several gold coins from seemingly nowehere. "I believe this should compensate you, no?"

A few of the less fortuenate islanders marveled at the wealth the robed figure was throwing about, as the amount of gold being givn clearly wasn't worth a bit of food and some water. Or a new cart for that matter.
Reize Seatlan      Just in time to see the commotion.

It looks like things are heating up between the cart owner and the new stranger. Reize doesn't have weapons drawn, given that the atmosphere is not too threatening. Instead, he is moving ahead to investigate the commotion between the old man and the robed figure. Once Reize gets close enough, he comes to a full stop to get a good look a the robed man. The said robed man towers over many of them, especially him. Given that Reize is only a few inches above five feet, he feels like a dwarf compared to the man.

    "Whoa..."

It looks like the tension may be quelled when the gold is presented out to the original owner of that cart.

"... Wh--what was that?" Reize is that familiar voice.

However, Reize cannot help but realize something.

"Wait a second, I heard someone earlier." He looks towards his left, and then to his right. That voice was familiar from the radio conversation before. He snaps his head back, calling out, "Ooooi, Yuuki! You here?!"
Yuuki Konno     This has little to do with the sort of conflict Yuuki's experienced in real life, so she automatically classifies it in game terms. PC shows up, everything gets wrecked. It's either a plot element or the PC did it deliberately looking for hidden treasure. Since Ixqor pulls out money to solve the problem, Yuuki unconsciously begins treating it like this is a quest plot.

It's not Yuuki's fault she's spent her formative years in video games. It colors reactions to some degree.

She's quite used to being towered over, though she's grown quite a lot during her recent passage from childhood. She'll never be tall though, not unless she starts applying unnatural customization sliders for it.

Yuuki's about to approach the PC/Questgiver (clearly, find the Questgiver some new robes) when her name's called. Yuuki perks up, looking around. "Reize?" she asks, apparently recognizing his voice and also remembering his name. She beams a wide, childish grin and holds up her hand with two fingers extended. "I'm Yuuki!" she agrees, posing as if she's just won a battle.
Ixqor Nathrach The elderly man, unpon seeing the large sum of gold being given to him nearly salivates over such a prospect. He eagerly took the lump sum then and nodded frantically to the taller robed figure. "Oh I do apologize sir! You a generous and good man, just don't fall on my car again! Tah!" The man then pushed through the now dispersing crowd, as it seemed anything interesting was coming to a close.

The robed man, now realizing where he actually was, widened his eyes. He patted at the side of his robe and felt the hilt of his blade, the rest being sheathed and hidden in his robes. He sighed with relief and cracked his neck and knuckles. "Well I suppose that could have gone much worse." He spoke to himself as he took in his surroundings, his eyes falling on the posing woman. He found her display quite strange for a public setting. "Hmm? What are you doing miss?" She even appeared strange in comparison to the other islanders, however, this was the multiverse, and it should be expected at this point. He however was still getting used to it's strangeness, and flat out absurdity at times.
Reize Seatlan      There it is.

In a game of 'Marco Polo', Reize got his 'Polo' in response to him calling Yuuki's name. Having Yuuki confirm the presence of him is rather relieving. As he finally looks through the audience, he finally spots the one girl who stands out, "Oooi, Yuuki!" He brightens a grin, then he approaches her way. Just as she provides that pose, he finally reaches her.

"Great! I found you!" He extends his hand out towards the girl, "That is right! I am Reize!"

    ...

Oh wait, there was a reason he was here earlier. His attention turns to focus over at the giant of a man before them both. "Oooi, are you alright?" He furrows his eyebrows a moment later, "What was with the portal? That was.. disturbingly strange."
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki shakes Reize's hand, her grip surprisingly strong for a girl her size. Not crushing; she's not that careless or that strong, but there's more to her than meets the eye. She's not surprised or upset at his apparently-young age. He's Jun's age if she's any judge of such things, and Jun's one of her dearest friends.

She's surprised, however, by Ixqor's question. Yes, Yuuki's not exactly normal even if she acts like a foolish teenage girl much of the time. She's almost seemingly human if you discount the elfin ears, but the hue of eye and skin and hair is just the far side of odd. She sees nothing wrong with what she is or what she's doing though. "You just ... rained." Yuuki says, her words defensive. "Why are you asking ME what I'm doing?"
Ixqor Nathrach Ixqor shrugged. "Tis but a question. And as I stated before, I wasn't exactly planning on ending up... Here? Wher eis here anyway little one?" He examined her more closely now, raising a brow at the elfin ears. "Eldar? What's an Eldar fledgeling doing so far from the Craft Worlds? Unless your kind has fled the turmoil of our universe of origin. That wouldn't surprise me really, it is in your best interest." He looked over to the young boy then, still keeping a half smile about his countenance. "It was my attempt at travel. I was hoping to arrive at what people call 'The Citadel'. From what I've heard, a large swathe of powerful individuals associate themselves with teh city and it's 'Confederacy'. I thought they may prove of use to me in some way. But, the warp seems to have spat me out somewhere else entirely. Such is it's nature."

Ixqor was about to excuse himself then, though upon further examination of the boy, he appeared to be 'gifted'. The capability for the arcane ways radiated off him, and the Amulent about his neck was brimming with power. "My, where did you get that amulet?"
Reize Seatlan      Whoa. It definitely looked like that Yuuki has a firm grip. Thankfully, she isn't crushing his hand. It definitely gives indication of the older woman's strength. The cheerful traveler looks rather thoughtful while he looks back at Yuuki, then he observes the exchange between both Yuuki and the taller stranger with interest.

"Well, from what I found out," to answer the man's question, "We are at Papaya Island. I just finished getting food from the Delicious Saikon restaurant." He runs a hand to his stomach, looking very relieved. "Mmm, good food. If you get hungry, go there!" He brightens considerably, though he does look rather curious over a few terms that was mentioned.

Eldar. Craft Worlds. The Citadel. Those are committed to memory for later, especially the information regarding the universe's turmoil. Reize thinks over the recent information, especially the 'Confederacy'.

It is when the pendant gets some attention that the boy instinctively lifts his hand to grasp along the crystal. He brightens a smile, "Oh! This was given to me by my father! It was a mark of my bravery for fending off the alpha wolf that broke into our village!" He offers a faint smile, "Though, I am learning that it is a bit more in my travels."
Yuuki Konno The chaos sorceror's question seems to confuse Yuuki, though she tellingly doesn't react to mention of the Citadel. Sure she knows it's the 'bad guy' sort of thing, but she doesn't consider herself involved in the war so doesn't care overmuch about sides.

"I'm... not an elder." Yuuki says hesitantly, not sure if she heard the man right but honestly having no clue what else he might be saying. "I'm just a teenager. But I've never heard of any Craft Worlds. I'm just a normal human."

That's not true, not really, even as it's got more truth than she typically shows. She frowns, a cast of dismay falling over her face as she alludes to something she's been warned not to talk about. Not to strangers at least. "I mean, humanlike!" she insists. "Yuuki, of the Imps, of the realm of Alfheim." she says hurriedly.

She looks a little uncomfortable about the topic, so when Reize speaks up she leaps (not literally) on the subject. "SAIKON!" she cries out. Not Daikon at all! She was close though! "Right, I knew I had the name close!" she claims, grinning sheepishly in self-deprecation.
Ixqor Nathrach Ixqor seemed intriguied by the stress the imp was feeling. To him, it seemed she desired to be human, or at least was perhaps brought up amongst humans, and desired to be accepted. A common problem among adolescence that is. He began to think though, on the Imps he'd dealt with before. Nasty little daemons of the warp, only worried about tormenting others. This one didn't seem at all like them, and so the multiverse proved another thing to him. Even different universes have their different daemons. He'd have to study that on a later date though. "My apologies. Your ears, they are typically a sign of Eldar blood flowing through veins, at least where I come from. They once ruled the galaxy, until excess laid them low, and now they live in small numbers, relative to their great empire. Scattered amongst gargantuane space vessels that may as well be worlds in of themselevs. Hence the term 'craft world'. Just in case you were interested. I know I was a curious little rascal in my youth." He chuckled at that, thinking back over a hundred years to when he was a boy. THe memories were starting to fade though, being lost to time. It's something he despised about his ascension. He snapped back to reality though rather quickly, looking to the boy then.

"Truly you are a brave one, and gifted at that. Why you'd be a candidate for ascension. And such a process is a great honour, but... Well I feel as though you'd not be too interested. Regardless you certainlyd eserve that pendant you have. It appears to be quite the powerful artefact. Would you mind if I held it?" He knelt down then, only being a foot taller than the boy now, and extended his open hand to Reize.
Reize Seatlan      The boy's attention falls towards Yuuki, who is showing signs of distress. That frown and dismay on her face. There is also a bit of tensing from her regarding the topic. These are things that Reize is able to notice. It is why he gives her a glance with a sad smile. But it soon fades, looking back over to Ixqor.

There is a great deal of information that th man is able to provide. Eldars ruled a galaxy until excess destroyed them. "... Excess?" He looks rather confused for a moment. "Hm. Craft Worlds." He looks rather thoughtful, "I'll explore these Craft Worlds, then!" He beams proudly.

Now, the man is focused on the pendant. The young traveler gives a thoughtful look, and then he slowly reaches over to pull it from over his head. Then, he extends the hand out for the taller man, "Alright..." He is entrusting the man with taking a look at it. After all, there may be some secrets that he may be able to unveil that the boy hasn't figured out yet.

Pause. "Oh! I'm Reize Seatlan, just an explorer!"
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki's situation, and her humanity, are complicated. She was human once and still thinks of herself as human. Certainly the Yuuki behind her avatar is human... for now. What she might become doesn't bear thinking about, let alone repeating among strangers. Her reaction doesn't come from a need for acceptance, though there's some of that there as well. It's mixed in with the secrets she's been warned to keep close, and with her complete inability to hide that there IS a secret she's trying to hide.

She's definitely curious though, and loves new and interesting things. She listens to the explanation of the Craft worlds with patience, nodding. "Well... huh. I think the 'Eldar' are like what're known as Elves, or 'Alv' where I'm from." she explains. All elves, the faerie of the Alfheim game, have the pointed ears and wings though of course the wings aren't always out.

Yuuki tenses slightly when Reize agrees to hand over his necklace. A powerful item, apparently. "Might want to keep wearing it." she suggests. The tone is friendly, though there's an edge to it that suggests she's not entirely calm about the request. "Or keep hold of it." she adds, considering. She's known way too many trade scammers over the years to be casual about letting someone examine a magical item. "Nothing wrong with him touching it, but if it's yours you want to keep hold of it, right?" she suggests.
Ixqor Nathrach "Do listen to your friend there Reize, it is not wise to trust strangers with powerful objects. Though I assure you, I will make no attempt to abscond with it." Ixqor held the pendant closer to his face then, examining overy detail of it, looking for inscirptions, gems of power, anything that may contain the true source of it's properties. "What was your father, Reize? A sorcerer? A scholar? A treasure hunter maybe?" He asked as he felt the powers of the pendant throughg his palm. The magical properties of it were almost palpable. He glaned down to the hilt which stuck out of his robes. The pendant reminded him of his blade, though it was less familiar. He turned back to Reize and handed back the Pendant, not wanting to seem to attached to studying it. "And your an adventurer you say? WHy your just a lad. Is it a right of passage in your culture to go off at such a young age? The universe is quite the dangerous place."

He briefly had flashbacks to the seemingly hundereds of wars he fought in. Thousands of lives burned away in the fires of strife and despair. He and his brothers were not just warrriors. They were conquerers. And the soldiers they faced were as zealous as themselves, and they both fought for survival. He still remmebers some of their faces.

Enough of that though. "A very dangerous place at that. Though... If you have this gift, and the pendant, maybe you have a good chance of making it out here."
Reize Seatlan      Yuuki does present a good point. Given the fact that his naivity would get the best of him, there was a chance of the pendant getting nabbed. The reminder does have Reize hold onto the rope that is tied to it.

Upon Ixqor's examination, there is something that is felt through the crystal. It is a warm feeling that emanates from the crystal itself. Few indiscriminate voices can be felt from it.

'Got to see my father.'
'I am no longer afraid'

These are a fraction of the other voices of people that are happy. Each of these are wishes that had been fulfilled. The essence of the shooting star seems to resonate from the fragment upon the examination. There is even the glimpse of the Boy with the Long Yellow Scarf braving a fight along with a few other people against a massive strange-colored owl, who loomed over them at a tower.

That is the story of the pendant.

"My father was an adventurer!" Reize looks rather happy, "He got to explore the world, see many things that other people had never seen." He looks wistful, "He always told me stories of his adventures. I wanted to become an adventurer like him, even beyond him." Once the pendant is handed back, the boy places the rope back over his head to secure it in place.

"As for how I ended up in an adventurer... well..." He looks rather sheepish.

Chibi Theater Flashback Time
Chibi Reize: Ahh, let me sleep on this raft! ZZzzzzzz
Raging River: >:E OM NOM NOM NOM
Chibi Reize: AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! *flails like an idiot*

As the reflection ends, Reize gives a nervous laugh, "...It was 'incidential' that I ended up an adventurer." There is a faint smile, "I have gotten this far due to the friends that I made in my previous travels. I've... learned a lot since then, especially now that I am completely on my own." His eyes shut as he reflects briefly.

The boy re-opens his eyes, a determined look with a grin forming, "I survived this long, I'll continue to do it as I explore the world for a grand adventure!"
Yuuki Konno     Once the topic's away from her humanity, Yuuki's quick to relax and return to her normal level of bright cheer. "Do you know how many people try to get me to trade them stuff?" she asks conversationally. She doesn't mistrust, not exactly, but there's nothing bad about being careful. "Well, not that many admittedly. I hear games back before I was born had real scammer problems, but it's not so common these days." she says. She doesn't realize she's basically admitting her experiences come from games, but then again who knows? The comment's sufficiently weird that it might pass unnoticed.

She pauses, and looks somewhat distressed by Reize as he reflects on his companions. "All alone...." she says gently. "Well, you'll have to find new companions!" she exclaims, trying to raise cheer. "Adventuring solo is really kinda lame, you know?"
Ixqor Nathrach Ixqor's eyes fixated on the pendant as he handed it back, the voices still lingering in his head. Was the boy in possession of some daemonically possesed object? That is the only explanation he can arrive at. Or, perhaps his father's souls is trapped within. What a strange trink the multiverse has brought to him... "Make sure to keep it safe in your travels then. You will certainly need it. And, if you've ended up on this road incidentally, why did you never change it? Is this what you wanted all along?" Ixqor nods in agreement then with Yuuki's statement, travelling alone can be quite the grueling task in some cases, let alone dangerous. "She's right. It's nice to have an entourage accompany you. I once was a part of a group, all with common goals, just different means to achieve them. And because of that... We had a falling out. I believe just about everyone who I once called comrade is now dead or strewn about the galaxy. Such is life though. One must come to expect these things in my case." Ixqor shurgged rather casually. This fact didn't seem to bother him very much. "Though we are very different you an I. SO perhaps it's best you get a bit of a party to tag along with you, no?"
Reize Seatlan      Reize holds onto the crystal, able to hear those wishes that came true. People were happy. It is a moment of reflection that soon fades from the boy when he looks over towards Ixqor. "I will. I have to." The boy clutches onto the crystal a bit tighter, that determination coming into surface.

Grinning at Ixqor, "In a way, though I imagined my journey to be more... leaving my home and journeying on my own with everyone cheering me off!" He gives a sheepish grin.

Grinning towards Yuuki and Ixqor both, he adds, "I once had an adventuring party of my own. However, they all had their own lives as well." That last part was where Reize's expression starts to lose its smile. Or at least, there is a touch of sadness behind that smile. The young traveler closes his eyes, recalling that very day.

    ... Bah. Long history now.

Reize lifts his head up, a warm smile is towards both the worrying new friends "Don't worry about me, though! I'll have a new adventuring party to join as I go! I've joined with many crews in the past once I settled on my own! So, I won't be alone for too long. Who knows what my next travel will bring?"
Yuuki Konno     The talk of companions left behind is kind of bittersweet, and close to things Yuuki's not comfortable talking about. Close, but not wholly there yet. "Yeah, my companions have their own lives too." she says. They always had, though now the case is even more true than it was before. "Now, I'm the only one with no life other than having adventures!" she says brightly.

Yuuki's expression, though she's smiling, is a little too bright. There's a shiny sort of fragility there, as if that smile is keeping her from otherwise breaking up. "Though I started at a new school this year, and I suppose that might count!" she adds. The fragility lessens, being edged out by a more genuine smile.
Ixqor Nathrach "That's the spirit lad. It's the only thing that'll trully keep you alive in this cruel multiverse, and it's determination. Without it, you'd have been dead or worse by now." Ixqor smiled and fatherly ruffled Reize's hair. He admired the boy's innocence and enthusiam. It's something Ixqor has lost in the years he served his dark gods as a warrior. He still was, but he had newer, greater purpose now. He stood then, looking down to the two children now. "Well, as thanks for pleasent conversation, and because I admire your bravery, you may call on me to assist you in times of need. I do not believe I can directly travel with you, as myh destiny is one too different from yours I believe, but, perhaps our paths will intertwine. My quest may span the entire multiverse, and any realm may have what I seek. With that being said." Ixqor paused in his speech to reach into his robes, and from them he pulled a rolled up scroll, and handed it to Reize. Due to his magical capabilities, Reize would easily be able to feel the power that lingered within the scroll, and was likely associated with the incantation written upon it. "Cast the sorcerery, and I shall be summoned. Though it may not always work. And as a forewarning, do not abuse this gift I have given to you, for only one other man has ever received this from me. Sad to say I could not save him though."

Ixqor paused, remembering back to the betrayel his warband suffered again before snapping back into reality. "And that reminds me. Due to your magical prowess, I could be convinced to assist you in unlocking your true potential. I will admit, as a teacher of the arts, I can never refuse the oppurtunity to enlighten new students. The same goes for you, Yuuki was it? Should you be gifted I am free to take you under my wing as it were. And, seeing as you two seem to know eachother, do watch eachothers backs. It's a wretched and cruel world out there."
Reize Seatlan      A glance is given towards Yuuki as she notes of her situation. In a way, it looks like that Yuuki is like him in the sense that she can dedicate her life to adventure. However, in a way, by the way she is smiling, it is similar to his. Reize is collectively thinking back to the travels with his close companions. Many of them, he understood. One in particular, Reize wants to understand. He has to.

That fragility of a smile is all too familiar. Because of that, Reize extends a hand over towards Yuuki's back with a cheerful smile, "Well, I suppose that I may have a traveling partner, then."

However, Reize looks rather confused, "A new school?"

The hair ruffle of Ixqor earns a grin from the boy, who rewards the massively taller man a beaming smile. That defiant strand, however, seems to flick up and down, almost shaking a 'fist' at the giant defiantly. "The Multiverse...?" He gives a thoughtful look, "Hm... I suppose so. I feel like I have been exploring these other worlds for a while, now."

A bright smile stirs upon Ixqor, who offers to help him. Although it sounds like he won't be able to join them...

Reize cannot help but look rather curious over what the man procures from his robe. When the scroll presented his way, Reize extends his hands out. "..Whoa..." He looks over the sight of the scroll, then he closes his eyes. Taking the scroll, he places it into the satchel. "Thank you. I won't betray that trust." After all, he has made it this far with the pendant. He can still feel that he has eyes on him with the pendant at times.

A glance is given towards Yuuki, offering her a smile, "Yeah, I'll be able to watch her back!"
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki can appreciate an offered gift like this. It's a friend-request and a teleport crystal, kind of. Pretty nice at least. She smiles at his offer though. "I'vve never had any real interest in unlocking my magic." she says, patting her sword's hilt familiarly. "This has always served me well. Plus it's lots more fun!" she claims playfully.

She's a bit surprised by Reize's gesture. Not that she has an objection to anyone trying to touch her or anything. Yuuki's grasp of personal space, like so many other things, has been atrophied due to video games. She's wary, not entirely comfortable getting close to people considering her situation. She doesn't resist though, and doesn't flinch away from the comradely gesture.

"A school, yeah." Yuuki nods. "I've been out of school for a few years. Finally got to join one. Beacon Academy. I'm training to become an official Huntress!" she grins. Not that she NEEDS training really. But going to school is an education even without all the classrooms and books. It's not about learning to fight, it's about belonging. Or possibly about being able to stand for yourself.
Ixqor Nathrach Ixqor can only chuckle at Reizes friendly gesture. "Well perhaps one day you will find the arcane arts to be useful to you. If so, you know who to look for. Even those born without the gift can be tought mastery over the self. Though it is difficult. But I wish you good luck child, in your works at this academy of yours regardless. And as far your, Reize. Do stay as safe as you usally are, when jumping head first into the unknown." The hulking cloaked man then turned around, remembering his cloak was now ruined from the fruits and supplies he had landed on. "But if you'll excuse me, I have robes to replace, and a trip to continue on. With luck I shall arrive in the citadel within the hour. As for wherever you two are headed, I wish safe travels upon you." Ixqor began to stride away then, down the market streets in search of a new robe to suit his attire.

Admist his stride, the hilt of his sword would stick out from his robes, and the eight pointed star at the top of the hilt would catch the sun and shine brilliantly. In the center of the star was The Eye, and even from such a distance, it would feel as thought it were staring at whoever came in view.
Reize Seatlan      Thoughtfully, Reize considers the idea of a school. Though, he has came across a few places that had some sort of academies and what not. After a moment, Reize smiles at Yuuki, "Great! So you'll be able to hunt monsters!" He stretches his hands in the air, until he turns towards Ixqor.

The smile softens at the taller man. "Thank you..." He closes his eyes, then he re-opens it to see him turn around to leave. "Take care!" He extends a hand out, waving the hand from side to side excitedly. Watching the man depart, Reize cannot help but give a glance over that glint. Even more, there was an uncomfortable feeling that he was being stared at.

    ...Nah.

Once the man leaves, he turns towards Yuuki, "Oh! Shall we be off? You said that you'd help me find Gotham, right?" He gives her a cheerful grin.

     Pause.

The cheerful smile remains. However, question marks appear over his head. "...Did he ever give his name?"
Yuuki Konno     "Well I already hunt monsters. But this way I get to hunt OTHER monsters too!" Yuuki says agreeably. Hunting monsters in video games may be fun, but destroying monsters and saving real lives doing so is a lot more fulfilling.

She pumps a fist into the air dramatically. "Yeah! Let's go off to Gotham!" says Yuuki enthusiastically. "If I can find it. And... huh, no I don't think he gave his name." she adds after a moment's reflection. "Well, he's pretty tall, and he appeared out of nowhere and fell onto a cart and does magic stuff. I'm sure he won't be too hard to find! People might end up hearing about him, don't you think?" she asks.

Then, something weird happens. Yuuki goes still. Not just unmoving, she goes completely still, into a momentary trance. It only lasts about ten seconds, but that's quite a long time for Yuuki to remain unmoving. It ends though, and she 'returns' without appearing like there's anything wrong. "Okay, we go that way!" she points dramatically. Hard to get lost when you can call up mapping software and see it as an add-in mod that shows you navigation waypoints.
Reize Seatlan      A sigh exhales, "... I probably should have asked him for his name." Reize runs a hand along his hair, grumbling to himself. However, he dismisses the situation entirely. He is sure that they'll run into each other again another time. For now, it is the matter of going to Gotham.

Now, they are ready to go. Nothing shall stop them from their destination. Reize shall entrust himself to Yuuki, who likely has a better idea than Reize does anyway.

    ...Until she stands still.

He double-takes, looking over towards the still young lady. "Uhh... Yuuki?" He squints, approaching closer, "Oooi, Yuuki!" He waves a hand her way. He starts scratching his head. But then she 'returns' to point dramatically.

Reize lifts a finger, almost ready to ask about what just happened. After a moment, he decides against it. ... Nah. What is more important is...

    Onward, to adventure!
