Tyravean     After the forray of Tomoe and Mortimer into the world of Warhammer, in which the skaven were summarily routed from an unknown village that had been all but wiped out, some time had passed. At most, a day or two, and during that time, Tyravean's human allies had shown up to help shore up the town and handle the dead. Apparently, the elf and her forces were going to use the place as some sort of defensive holdout.
Tyravean herself, the regal, if scantily armored elf woman of reputable cuteness, stands in the center of the square, consulting with several of her elven comrades, as well as a handful of humans.
The warp gate nearby, located in a cave that was secured behind a rather old and decrepit wall that Tomoe broke down, had gone... out... when they had left, but had come back to life only recently, allowing people to come and go from the area as they wished. Coming through and exiting the cave would put them on the top of an outcropping that overlooked the village itself where they could observe the goings-on of the people below.
However, the area is also guarded. Several elven warriors are on patrol, bows held ready, and eyes keen. Sneaking past them for some reason would not likely work out too well, and they had already proven somewhat hostile to anything that wasn't elven or human.
Mortimer Balman      Thanks to Tomoe's help, Mort knows where to find this world now. And he's prepared for a proper excursion into it. He's in full BDUs today- they look kinda like standard forest/jungle camo BDUs normally worn by modern Earth militaries, but his are for some reason various shades of /blue/ rather than /green/. He's also wearing a mantle (one of those short capes) around his neck, it's all old and tattered and worn, and there are badges and such stitched into it denoting a rank that likely none of them would recognize. He carries a sword of truly immense size, it's almost taller than he is, forged of gleaming golden orichalcum with a core of burning red jade. And he's brought a Fenris-pattern chainsword too, one with strange Aramaic runes carved into the casing; because today is gonna be a fun, fun day.

Following Mortimer this day, a good chunk of his Pokemon crew. Reder, the Wartortle, his shell is so coated in scratches and cuts that there are no smooth places left, and the deep blue indicates (to those who know much about Pokemon at least) that he is ancient indeed. Switchbait, the Butterfree, who for reasons unknown has a very well maintained moustache and carries himself with Britannian-level etiquette. How the hell an insect has that is anyone's guess. He is carrying a first aid kit which reads 'Shit Magnet' on the front, and there is a patch around his tiny Butterfree neck with a red cross on it indicating him as a medic. Which he really isn't much of one, but he's the only one who can be trusted with that sort of work and his psychic powers make it easier for him in the thick of a fight. And Nettle, the Shuppet, has come too; a grinning wraithly sock-puppet looking creature whose eyes are glowing red as blood, and her grin goes almost all the way around her head, showing off a mouth full of teeth that should not be there.

They have come for war, and bloodshed. And for supper, and for you, burglar Baggins! No wait wrong script. The smell of war is in the air, and they have come to join the beleaugered defenders.. And they are visibly eager for the fight.
Finna Finna emerges with Mortimer, looking... not TERRIBLY out of place next to a bunch of Pokemon. A thin-limbed young woman with only the barest minimum of healthy body fat, a cute, eager energy in her smile and seemingly unarmed but dressed like a huntress of the north - if, currently, in a scantier version of the leathers that exposes plenty more flesh... she's got a hand on her hips and eyes out in every direction.

If any Elves are silly enough to launch arrows HER way the moment she emerges? They might be surprised to see her SNATCH THE ARROWS out of the air one-handed though!
Alden Seems not only pokemon, magic foxes, and humans exuding alarming ammounts of magic (and carrying massive swords) are coming!. A gabumon walks out of the warpgate, only moments after Mortimer and Finna do, and honestly, the small digimon looks like he would belong in Mort's entourage, given his small size and general not particularly threatening look... the Shuppet looks more scary than him!. Still, the digimon walks out and spends a few moments getting his bearings on the place, looking around, only to find the group there!. He tries to look non threatening, if only to avoid pointless fights, moving slowly!. As for gear,he only has his usual fur cloak, and a belt with his D-Arc and cardbox on it.
Tomoe Tomoe has chosen to come back once more as she arrives out of the gate she oooks to Mort for a moment as she seems far more ready for a dfight this time. She notices his pokemon and nods.

"You brought some pretty serious backup I see Mort. Keep in mind ... I'm dispoable but ... These things? I'm not so sure I'm safe."

They can attack the mind, the soul and more after all she's actually pretty on edge. She mutters a quick prayer herself hoping her God hears her as this world is in dear need of aid after all.

"Whelp I'll take point and hum you going to be okay misss? Your kinda exposed..."

That's Tomoe being polite about the 'leather armour' Finna has.
Mortimer Balman      Mort looks at the others who've followed him through. "Heh. Good t'see yah, little moon eevee. An' Tomoe, an' the rest of yah. Be wary of these folks.. They're a pack of barbarians. Savages that are hard pressed t'see past prophecy an' appearance. But I think we can teach'em a few things while we're here.." A toothy grin comes over his face while he says this, and he hefts the Grand Daiklave up over his shoulder as though it weighed as much as a feather, and began walking for the entrance.

Reder licks his lips a bit as he hops after Mortimer, "<At last.. Back to war.>" He's been waiting a good long while for a chance to fight a good fight again. Switchbait is less enthused, but.. Even he seems a bit eager for a fight, though his attitude comes off as condescendingly colonialistic. "<Jolly good of us to do this, Master Balman. It would be horribly improper for us to leave these poor, uncouth creatures to their fate.>" Nettle, on the other hand.. Simply sees an opportunity for mischief, and a meal. "<This place is ripe with fear, Master. The Living stink with hate and fear and hidden pains they share with none, even their closest kin. And..>" Her eyes close a moment, letting out a strangely placid sigh, "<War comes. They know it comes. It will be bloody and brutal. Yes~>"
Finna "Sure, sure! They have to hit me before I need to worry about anything!" IS how Finna brushes off Tomoe's concern. "besides, this always works on putting things in my favor. Guys like to stare instead of fight!" Well. She's probably kidding about that last part. Mostly.

"Alley-woooooooooo!" The foxgirl crows upon exiting the cave. She can SMELL that it's being guarded. Feel the tension. And she?

    She is a troublemaker.

So her answer is to come running out ON THE CAVE'S CEILING and run straight up whatever hill it's dug into... and only stop when she's about fifty feet up or at the top, whichever comes first. Because then she can get a better look out there!
Alden Alden already had a brush in with a group of the locals, so he is aware how they might react to the unusual, he almost got blasted along the cultists that pretty much kidnapped him last time he was here!. So he is content to be behind the others for now, and like before, try to appear friendly!. He waves to Mort, the pokemon, Finna and Tomoe, wanting to be polite. He opens his eyes wide as Finna apparently rushes and does impossible movements!, he is tempted to clap, but decides on just looking at the ceiling for a few moments.
Tomoe Tomoe Says "I don't think I'd consider anyone able to build a city to be a flat out Barbarian but that's me we'll ee right?"

She looks to the pokemon for a moment. She nods once and moves out to end up out in front she looks to Finna for a moment and she just tilts her head.

"You may think like that but try bing one of a handful of women in a city full of thousands of men."

She Shudders a bit at some old memories efore she moves foward but she does knows Finna might end up causing trouble but what can she do she'll take point and hopefully be the one to tank any trouble they run into.
Tyravean     The elves outside turn when they hear footsteps and sounds inside the cave and pause, weapons ready. Finna running along the roof causes them to glance between each other and then turn to run away towards the fortified village. They were apparently uninterested in fighting with anything like that, but more interested in raising an alarm, which seems to be exactly what they were going to be doing. Off they go!
Mortimer Balman      The guardians of the cave ran off. "Hm." Ears perked forward. "They're raising an alarm.. Ah well. That was t'be expected.. Not like I can be terribly stealthy anyway.. Nettle!" A quick little yell brought the wraith forth, "<Yes, Master~?>" "Disappear. Watch the encampment. Watch fer enemies past their palisades." The little ghost bowed her head, "<As you wish, Master~>" and she faded from view, becoming fully incorporeal and invisible to the naked eye.

The others would continue walking down, noses twitching at the air. Hoping to smell if anymore of those Rat-Men came. Reder was in particular eager to fight those..
Finna Finna's got sharp eyes from her high-up perch. She can spot the ears. "R-Raksha!? No... looks kinda like Thranduil's people. Elves?" Still shading her face from the sun. "Good! Elves are like Raksha without the soul-eating and all the good looks!"

She drops down from the perch and...

    WHUMPF!

Charr has less than a second to respond before a sudden weight on his shoulders springs off and lands on the ground. A white fox.

    She shifted shape mid-fall.
Tomoe Tomoe does not have her weaopin out and she holds up her hand but therey shey go. 5R
"THey are raising an alarm or something else has shown up."

She look as one of Mort's crew does what they can to hep and she starts to move out ahead hopefully to find what else might be lurking about here. She knows Humans, Elves and Dwarves seem to be allies and facing down the tides of Chaos but ... she wonders how long can they last?
Alden Alden honestly thinks keeping up with the others might be for the best, even if he does not know the others, moving closer to Mortimer and Tomoe, looking around curiously. Of course, seeing Finna fall makes him worry, and he tries to get a bit closer to see if she was ok.
Tyravean     By the time any of them would reach the edge of the village, they'd be greeted with a number of elves on buildings and hastily crafted ramparts with bows leveled towards them, a handful of humans among them with handguns, and then a number of other humans with an elf here and there down below, weapons and battle lines ready. They were prepared for some sort of threat, indeed.
Finna Of course Finna's okay, Alden! She looks over her shoulder at him before she sets off. During the trip she even brushes past and licks the Digimon's cheek playfully before bounding off to the head of things again.

All until the fox finds herself and others being targeted by a plethora of weapons.

"Oooooooooh. Lovely welcoming party!" The Fox barks sarcastically, only for her form to ripple and shift, flowing upwards and once again returning to the 'foxgirl' form of before, including the bare midriff leathers.

"Mind filling us in about the occasion?" As if NOT SCARED AT ALL - or at least, very good at hiding her flinching when it did happen, she brazenly poses with all the weapons trained on her and the others, hand on her hips, tail wagging, ears standing up straight and a fearless smile to show in return. That, and glimmers of friendly cheer in her eyes.
Mortimer Balman      Mortimer isn't scared at all, and neither are his compatriots. Well maybe Switchbait is a tad nervous, unsure if they'll open fire or try to start a fight. Mort does however grunt a bit when Finna uses him as a springboard. Darn energetic eevees. Oh well. "Hold yer fire, humans, and elves! We are not yer enemies. We've come to give blade an' spell to see that all who dwell in this little redoubt live to see the light of tomorrow's sun. I will not lie, an' say yer wrong t'be untrustin' an' paranoid- indeed, I suspect such has kept you alive! But if we were hostile, there would be no exchanges of words. Consider that, afore ye press an attack on friendlies, however unbidden we be."
Alden Alden is rather relieved Finna is fine, and sneaks a pet on the fox when he can, before returning to Mortimer's side, for some reason he thinks it might be safest, at least he might have a clue of what is going on!. The way everyone points at him does make the digimon nervous, he is not weapon proof, at least not in this form!. He does try his best to follow Finna's example, "We are not your enemies." he simply says, joining on Mort's words.
Tomoe Tomoe reaches the villiage and she notices the lees she doens't move to strike she keeps her wepon in iut's sheath and she looks to Finna for a moment and is about ready to just smack Finna and she's trying to not have her heads in her hands but she doesn't seem to be spoiling for a fight she looks up.

"Forgive our odd companions's nature she's ... quite up front about things."
Tyravean     Finna transforming really puts everyone on edge, maybe because a shapeshifter had just recently attempted to take the Emperor's life. Such rare beings were not exactly favorites of the people of Reikland.
After a few tense moments, Tyravean appears, moving through the line, sword drawn. When she spots Mortimer, she sighs. "You again? I thought I told you to leave and never return? Do you want to die? Is that it? I'm quite sure we could assist you with that."
She takes a deep breath and sighs. "Nevermind... there's really nothing you can do to help. We're only here to slow down an approaching Gor horde, and once we get the signal, we are falling back. That might happen well before they even get there, so go back where you came from."
Mortimer Balman      Mortimer lets out a long, hoarse laugh. "Gwahahaha! Your fatalism is far more dangerous than any enemy that comes today, elf." He points back at the cave. "The Gate that lurks in there can be used by anyone, and I have yet to meet the power that can fully close them forever. This Gate is an asset you cannot afford to lose.. It can mean either salvation or oblivion, at your whim. Allies and friends can come from a thousand worlds to see that this one survives.. Or, if you would leave it to your enemies.. They can venture forth and find new weapons, new allies, new horrors to unleash upon you and bring them back. Consider this, before you are too eager to leave." He looks around at the assembled host.

"You have a fair number of warriors. Not many, but enough to make a good stand. We can help you make this place even harder to take. Open yer mind a bit to /possibilities/, just a little! Just a little imagination.. To see what tomorrow can bring, if yah put some thought into it."
Finna Well that's one way to learn a group's temperament. These people clearly have no appreciation for cuteness! Or rather... are wary. Incredibly wary. Not, of course, that Finna's surprised by this response.

"Peace, warriors! Didn't come here to get skewered or do much of it myself. Heard that there's all kinda nasty things about, wanna make sure about what I heard!" She scuffs at the ground idly with the toes of one foot, lightly kicking up dust, yet... is clearly ready to spring like lightning the instant a single arrow's loosed.
Alden Alden is a bit tense, and looks back at Mortimer for a moment, tempted to ask just... what happened last time, but then agian, maybe it was just a 'thanks for your help, now get away or we will destroy you, monster' situation. In any case, he has to agree to Mortimer's words, "Yeah, There are lots of good people that are willing to help others, and I am sure, they would be glad to help..." he begins, but the mention of 'horrors' and such makes him go quiet. "Yeah... he is right, if you don't secure this area, even if you don't want help from outsiders... there is a big chance your enemies might decide to try and get assistance."
