Athela Valemore Much of the land between the designated regions of Bayern was still feirce wilderness, with only the trade routes connecting the larger settlements between them. Travel from one to the other still took time, even with a quick mount or a Flying type large enough to carry someone.

As she didn't have the latter and had only a porter's rental for the former, Athela had opted to call it a day before exhausting herself or her ride and set up camp for the time being. It would be late soon enough, and Bayern wilds were not a thing one wanted to be wandering in the dark. She could still be where she needed to go by the time most would only be arising from bed in the morning.

Not to mention the lack of lighters, or even a Fire type. But after her Eevee gathered up some sticks for kindling all it took was a few smacks of a stone against the blade of her sword to make a few sparks and get a campfire going.
Fuki     It's rare that a certain Shinki gets out and about, but bordeom wins over for this time, more so it was time for Fuki to do some more Pokemon Training so out and about she is in her kimono and the human sized synth body she got as a gift. Upon the obi is five Pokeballs as well, one marked different than the others, the one that houses Ria. "Alright girls, let's do what we can here. I am sure we can find something around here to battle..." a pause, "or assassinate..." she grins, a glint of steel in one of the obi...

    Fuki never went anywhere unprepared...

The fire, however, catches the Trainer-Shinki's eye, a slight nod is given and she slinks over towards it, keeping towards what shadows exist around the area... "Maybe I have my first target here...."
Athela Valemore Oblivious to being watched for the moment Athela poked at the fire with another stick to make sure it was strong, then let said stick fall into the flames. "This is a far way out to go, hopefully the time won't be ill spent." Not that it would be the first time she had been called forth by someone panicing, only for it to be a minor issue at best.

"Vree." Sprite agreed, the fox-like Eevee curled up at her side by the fire. Her Timburr had wandered back towards the trees to do some excersize punching them before it got too late. Goomy slinked off somewhere cool, and as he wasn't really suited for long distance travel such as this her Samurott was the only one she actually had a pokejewel for.

"Just as well we make the best of it. I would feel worse for not taking heed of the call, than I would of it turning out a fool's errand."
Fuki     Fuki hmms a bit, slinking in the forested area a bit more, her eyes spy that Eevee and hmmms, shaking her head, looking towards the woman poking the fire. "Hmm, this is interesting..." she mutters, palming one of her Pokeballs out, that special one. "Ria, go. Scout it out..." and with a strange noise... and a now materializing Dragonair pops out and starts heading out of the forest, poking her head out with a curious noise.

"Draaa...?" it mutters out, taking a look and making itself known to the Eevee and the Knight. Deeming it a bit safe, she turns towards the wooded area and makes a small call... Fuki slowly stepping out. "It seems that we have a lone woman here..." she whispered, "It's a wonderful evening, isn't it?"

The Dragonair slowly coils around her Trainer, that glint of metal flashing once more. "May I join you this evening?" she questions, "If just for a bit?"
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore has busied herself with retrieving provisions from her packs, but the sound of something not far off between the trees draws the attention of Sprite's sharp ears. By the time the serpentine dragon sliters into view the small fuzzball is on her paws, regarding the appearance warily. "Vee! Vee vee!"

"What is it Sprit--" Athela turns back to see what has gotten her companion worked up, only to stop mid-statement when she comes to see the Dragonair looming nearby. "--Goodness! What is a Dragonair doing out here?!" That is not a pokemon you often see along in the wild.

Which is answered quickly by the serpentine's trainer (presumably) also emerging from the treeline. Well, that explains it. "Plenty of space for another to which warm their feet by. One is best to not wander far when darkness grows ni."
Fuki     "Ria's my girl, this Dragonair's been with me since she was a Dratini. Bred for my own use." Fuki smiled, rubbing a hand under the Dragonair's head, eliciting a coo from the serpentine dragon. "I'm just a lowly trainer from another land looking at other worlds." she gives a small smile, only to briefly nod. "Ah, yes... the darkness can be ones enemy, can it not?" a pause "Or someone's best friend if they were inclined."

Fuki moves closer, that kimono shining slightly along with the balls upon the obi as she makes her seat carefully on a small log nearby. "May I ask what a woman such as you is doing so far from the city or towns? Are you on a training quest as well?" a pause as she looks back towards the Eevee, "And that one looks well trained itself too..."
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore tilts her head a little to the side as the girl speaks. Particularly the mention of being from 'another land'. That, and the comparitively unorthadox style of dress makes a few things click. Come to think of it, it is stimilar in style to the other Trainer she has met before. "Ah, ye must be from one of these other realms that also are home to Pokemon of some kind."

For a moment she has to pause, if only to consider how she should go about explaining this to an offworld trainer. "A quest of sorts, one could say. But I am not merely a trainer travelling the wilds." The young woman raises a hand to her chest. "Dame Athela Valemore, Knight Errant of the Sword of Tides, the Legend Obscura Keldeo." Then lowers her hand back to rub lightly between the Eevee's ears. "And much like ye dragon, Sprite hath been mine for some time, from rather fine stock of breeding."
Fuki     Fuki gives a brief smile, tilting her head slightly as she listens to the Knight Errant. "I see..." she whispers, hmming softly. This might not end well for the Shinki if she tries for it...so.. She scritches Ria's neck some more as well, giving a slight nod. "I'm just an unimportant woman on a quest... my dragons..."

She brushes her hand across the rest of the balls: Goomy, Deino, Bagon and Gible come popping out. "I have four more to train and one more to get..." a smile is given, "And I'm hoping to find one more to fill out my collection." a grin comes, with a look to the Eevee...

"Though, I think I may want to train one of them..."
Athela Valemore Those pokeballs are really quite facinating, though what comes out of them gets a bit of a surprise out of Athela. Three Dragons, a Dragon+Dark and a Dragon+Ground; and two of those would eventually be Dragon+Flying when they're fully evolved. If it wasn't for this girl being from another world, one might get a bit worried about so many Dragons being in one position. "One more... oh, yes, many of ye off-world trainers keep six at hand, yes." She has one Dragon herself, but you didn't see many outright Dragon specialists outside of Dragoni from what she understood. Under other circumstances, that could be worrisome

If only she knew, huh?

"Well we seem to share one commonality." Athela gives a short whistle, and a pink blob oozes out from the rock he had been cooling off under, wibbling and wobbling back into the usual sluggish form of a Goomy. Then glances up for a moment. "It hath not gotten without sunlight yet, prehaps a brief spar could be possible."
Fuki     If only she knew.

"Oh?" she questions, listening to the whistle and she eyes that pink blob... "Oh, a Goomy." She pulls out a strange device, the black and purple colored pokedex... "I see..." though when the spar is mentioned, she looks towards her Dragonair, a nod is exchanged between both of them and Fuki slips a berry towards Ria, who readily gobbles it and stores it... "Precautionary measure. I'm not the best trainer, you see." she chuckles, she may not have to shank this woman...

    Maybe...

"A brief spar, huh? Between my Dragonair and one of yours, I assume?" she questions. "One pokemon or more?"
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore scoots her feet closer so she can stand back up, and take a few steps away from the campfire. No need to risk accidentally kicking it up and starting a bigger problem while they're battling. "So be it, then. A bit of excersize will ensure a good night's rest!"

She hmms softly for a moment, looking at her own pokemon. A Dragon vs Dragon would be a double-edged sword as they are weak to their own attack Element, and her Goomy does not have the options for such as an evolved Dragonair would. On the other end of the spectrum, Samurott would be almost as unfair in the other way against a less experienced trainer. Which leaves two options really. "I have mine Eevee, or another pokemon that is nearby. If ye have a preference whom you would like to fight, now be the time to say so."
Fuki     Fuki gives a slight nod, stretching out her neck. If one was to notice, there's a necklace that looks to just be embedded right into the body's neck with a trio of flashing lights. "Sure... Your Eevee is fine, and maybe I can get some training with my Gible. Using Ria on an unevolved doesn't seem like that would be a fair fight, now would it?"

It's here that the 'trainer' starts to walk close, a hand outstretched from that kimono. "Shall we have a friendly shake of the hand, since this is just a friendly battle and nothing really is on the line?" she smiles slightly with this, Ria's still coiled around her trainer and the other four are behind, keeping an eye on the Goomy and the Eevee.

"After all, I just want to make sure all is fun here, right? And as a knight, any training you can get is good training..."
Athela Valemore "Verily so. Experience never hurts, especially against a type so uncommon to come across." Really there is a thing or two here that should be setting off alarms, but Athela just doesn't have the experience with the greater Multiverse yet to pick up on them. Or it just could be that other than the oddly high number of Dragons in the group she doesn't really have more of a reason to not take this girl at what is before her.

Why are the other pokemon looking at them like that? Sprite bristles a bit at the stares, but it's probably just pre-battle anticipation, right?

Athela turns to hold a gauntlet clad hand out to the girl as she approaches. "A battle won is victory earned; a battle lost is a lesson to be learned."
Fuki     This facade is working quite well, actually. A surprise. "Dragon types are uncommon to you?" she questions, giving a slight nod. It's strange a knight hasn't noticed a few red flags... but that's fine. That's... very... fine. "A battle won is victory earned; a battle lost is a lesson to be learned." she grabs the gauntlet hand in a firm shake... "Ria..." she whispered...

"Ice Beam that furry rodent and that Dragon." it's here that she yanks on that arm, that shimmer finally showing itself... a sharpened dagger... a quick calculation in her head and she shoves the shank right up into that armor with a force that shouldn't be natural in a human. "Everyone else? Dragon Pulse..."

If the stab is successful, she wrenches the dagger some inside, leaning in to whisper, "A battle lost... right?"

Upon hearing the commands, Ria nods and sends out a bolt of cold energy towards the Eevee and OTHER Goomy while pulses of draconic energy roll out from the other four Dragon types, even if the four dragon's might be lower in power, it may still do something...
Athela Valemore It's the subtefuge that is working to Fuki's advantage. Athela hasn't dealt with many rouges in her time, just deranged cultists/unliving that are about as subtle as a brick wall or thugs more likely to try and beat their victim to pulp so they can gloat their own strength. And to get suspicious of someone just for being from another land... might of been smart, but it would of reflected badly on her when she's suppose to be setting a good example of trust and acceptance of 'new' things.

Maybe she'll learn better in the future.

After things have already gone to hell in a handbasket.

It's not until her outheld hand is grabbed and she's yanked forward, briefly off her balance, that she sees the glint for what it is. Too late to pull away, all she can do is yelp in surprise and try to twist her position. Which seems to not be as effective as it should when the girl proves to be unusually strong, thrusting dagger into her side.

First a blast of ice, then multiple Dragon Pulses. Does anyone ever wonder how multiple pokemon attacks aimed at one spot have a tendancy to cause explosion-like flashes, even when it is something like ice? Maybe not very big, but that's exactly what happens. There's a squeal as Eevee goes tumbling aside from the assault... but as the burst of energy dies down GOOMY is the one surprisingly still standing. Or maybe not such a surprise, Fuki has one, surely she knew it learned Protect. Though then she'd also know that it means the user doesn't actually attack back. Good defense, but no offense.

Athela clenches her teeth. The stab is deep in her side, but not as deep as it could of been thanks to the virtue of wearing multiple layers to her armor, and the chainmail beneath the plate has dampened the penetration some. The girl may be inhumanly strong, but the armor of this world is made to stand up to such things from creatures like Pokemon.

"Not lost.. yet!" Athela digs in and twists her body, swinging a punch at the other girl. A punch that upon contact explodes with watery force, much like getting hit with the pressure of a firehose.

Something crashes back in the trees. Surely whatever other pokemon she mentioned being about heard the sound of a fight breaking out...
Fuki     Satisfied that the Pokemon have been dealt with, she turns back to the knight, only to have a contact with a punch... a water punch. The force is heavy, enough to knock the girl away, but it does expose something... mechanics and technology in her face. "Ow.." she muttered, "Well, it looks like I may have to do this the hard way." she smirks a bit more, pulling back all but her Dragonair into the pokeballs.

"It's a sad day when I can't kill in one stroke anymore." she shrugs, looking up to the sky, "Fuki, Fuki, Fuki... you're getting sloppy.." and she turns towards the knight again.. that dagger at the ready. At least, until she hears trees crashing. "Well crap, this is going to ruin the fun." she thinks a moment.. and nods, "Perhaps we shall meet again, Knight Errant." she lobs the dagger right towards the knight again at a strong force then turns to run... "I'm sure that's a pet I don't want to deal with... so, I hope you have fun this night... bleeding out..."

She laughs a bit, "Ria, ice beam the road, freeze it so they don't come chasing..." and as commanded, the ice beam returns to freeze the road solid.. making it very dangerous to deal with if she chooses to chase.
Athela Valemore As if to accent that notion right as Fuki says that, the crash is followed by a tree -- a WHOLE tree -- slamming to the ground almost right upon where she had recalled her pokemon from moments before. Like, pulled up roots and all whole tree. Likely ripped out and thrown by the goblinesque form that's coming from the trees... though even at a full sprint Timburr isn't exactly a fast pokemon. Probably why he flung something in the first place.

With her bearings back in order Athela's combat insight kicks in, grabbing her own weapon and drawing it in a sweeping motion to deflect the thrown dagger.

Then hisses between her teeth as the movement, while sparing her the dagger's wrath, aggrivates the wound she already has. The only wound the blade makes this night is when she stabs the end into the ground to support herself as the pain crackling in her side puts her to one knee. Likely saying unsavory things about automatrons under her breath.

But there's still the irrate ... nevermind, as soon as he's about to catch up Timburr steps right on the icy patch and falls right back on his hiney.
Fuki     Fuki smirks at this as she turns back. "Ria, you did a good job." she smiled, "I'll have to treat you out to some Poffins and other Poketreats.. Such a good Dragonair you are, yes you are." she smooches the Dragon type a bit on the cheek and continues her run, at this point, with the roads as they are now, it'll be hell for them to catch up.

"Didn't expect to fail an assassination. She must be elite. Especially with those Pokemon. Maybe she's with the Union." a pause and she slows down. "Perfect..."

She goes back to running... "Man, Lute's going to have my hide for this... I ruined this face..."
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore mutters as she gets back onto her feet. "Forget them." She still has a previous engagement she needs to get to in the morning. "Mizzen, get Sprite. Slurry, put the fire out. We can't risk camping in the same spot now." Looks like, wound or not, she's going to be riding more tonight yet. Not going to be a pleasant trip at all now.
